Jean Carroll, posted Tuesday on Griffins YouTube channel, in response to a question from Carroll about who won the election."No, I'm going to take a hit for that, and I understand, but that's just my humble opinion," Griffin added.DON LEMON, KATHY GRIFFIN AGREE 'SOMETHING WAS OFF' ABOUT 2024 ELECTION, SUGGEST ELECTION TAMPERINGIn the clip flagged by The Daily Caller's Jason Cohen, she also said she is suspicious ofElon Musk, founder and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Inc., who headed up Trumps Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and was assigned to trim $2 trillion from the federal governments budget.Musk announced he was leavingDOGE in a post on X on May 28, and has been critical of various proposals from Trump, including the 47th presidents "big, beautiful bill" which he signed into law on July 4."I don't trust the Elon connection," Griffin said. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMShould you swap fish oil with krill oil? Experts weigh in on the popular alternativeAmericans are getting hooked on an alternative to fish oil that's packed with omega-3s and is easier for the body to absorb.Krill oil, which comes from tiny, shrimp-like crustaceans abundant in the Antarctic Ocean, boasts omega-3 fatty acids that may help improve heart health, fight inflammation and support brain and nervous system health, according to medical experts. The global krill market is expected to grow substantially over the next 10 years as an alternative to fish oil, according to data from Allied Market Research, as people seek the benefits that are abundant in fish like salmon, sardines, mackerel and anchovies.DO YOU NEED A MAGNESIUM SUPPLEMENT? EXPERTS SHARE SYMPTOMS OF DEFICIENCY"Whole food comes first, but krill oil makes a powerful second line of defense," Joseph Mercola, a board-certified family physician in Florida and author of the book, "Your Guide to Cellular Health," told Fox News Digital."The major benefit of krill oil over fish oil is that, in krill oil, the omega-3 fats EPA and DHA come bound to phospholipids, which makes them easier for your body to absorb and use," Mercola said.DHA in fish oil struggles to reach the retina, for example, while krill-based DHA crosses into the eyes and helps preserve vision, he said.Krill oil's ability to cross cellular barriers more effectively also allows it to better fight inflammation, improve memory and even counter age-related decline, Mercola added.Synthetic fish oils are especially hard for the body to process and offer fewer benefits, he said.GUMMY VITAMINS SOLD AT MAJOR RETAILERS RECALLED BY FDA DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNSKrill oil may also lower cholesterol and triglycerides, which can increase the risk of heart disease, according to a 2015 study published in the journal Lipids in Health and Disease.Krill also has astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant with additional anti-inflammatory benefits, said Dr. David Rizik, an interventional cardiologist at HonorHealth in Arizona. The small crustaceans have fewer toxins like mercury, often found in large fish, according to experts.Krill are also a more sustainable option, Fox News Digital previously reported, because they are so plentiful in the Antarctic. There are some downsides to consider, however.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTER"Krill oil tends to be lower in EPA and DHA when compared to high-quality fish oils, and is often more expensive," Rizik, also chief medical officer at High Level Science, told Fox News Digital."Fish oil, particularly when in superior triglyceride form and combined with clinically-backed nutrients, delivers consistent omega-3 levels at a better value," he said, adding that the key is how it's sourced and formulated. But because krill oil is absorbed better, less of it is needed to see results. The research is still new on krill oil, Rizik noted. For more Health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/health"Most of the long-term and large-scale clinical data on omega-3s, especially for heart, brain and metabolic health, is on EPA and DHA from fish oil," he added. For most adults, about 500 to 1,000 mg of krill oil daily delivers effective amounts of EPA and DHA, Mercola said. Those with a shellfish allergy should check with a doctor before taking it, he advised.Fish oil and krill oil are known to have blood-thinning effects, and krill oil's use among pregnant and breast-feeding women has not been heavily researched, according to the Cleveland Clinic. The organization recommends consulting with doctors before adding any supplements to your diet.0 Reacties 0 aandelen 14 Views 0 voorbeeld

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMassachusetts bill would force ICE agents to unmaskA new bill in Massachusetts aims to require U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and other federal immigration enforcement officers to unmask. The legislative proposal was introduced Wednesday by Democratic state Rep. James Hawkins. It calls for a new section to the Massachusetts Penal Code that states, "A law enforcement officer shall not wear any mask or personal disguise while interacting with the public in the performance of their duties, except for medical grade masks that are surgical or N95 respirators designed to prevent the transmission of airborne diseases and masks designed to protect against exposure to smoke or toxins during a state of emergency.""A violation of this section shall be punishable as a misdemeanor," the bill, which was co-sponsored by another 10 Democratic state representatives, said.4 ARRESTED IN ALLEGED BORDER PATROL OPERATION SABOTAGE ATTEMPT NEAR LA AS ATTACKS ON IMMIGRATION AGENTS SURGEIt says the intent of the legislature is to enact legislation "to require law enforcement officers to include their name or badge number on their uniforms," as well as to enact legislation to "ensure that Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team officers can utilize gear necessary to protect their faces from physical harm while they perform their SWAT responsibilities."ICE acting director Todd Lyons defended mask-wearing by his agents during a May press conference announcing an operation had resulted in nearly 1,500 arrests across Massachusetts."Im sorry if people are offended by them wearing masks, but Im not going to let my officers and agents go out there and put their lives on the line, their family on the line, because people dont like what immigration enforcement is," Lyons during a press conference in Boston. "Is that the issue here that were upset about, the masks? Or is anyone upset about the fact that ICE officers families were labeled terrorists?"During an operation in Los Angeles weeks prior, Lyons said, ICE agents were "doxed" having their personal information publicized and people took photos of agents names and faces and posted them online "with death threats to their families and to themselves."Most of those arrested in the Massachusetts operation had "significant criminality in the U.S. or abroad" and agents targeted "the most dangerous alien offenders in some of the most crime-infested neighborhoods of Massachusetts," officials said."If sanctuary cities would change their policies and turn these violent criminal aliens over to us, into our custody, instead of releasing them to the public, we would not have to go out to the communities and do this," Lyons added. "Boston's my hometown, and it really shocks me that officials all over Massachusetts would rather release sex offenders, fentanyl dealers, drug dealers, human traffickers and child rapists back into the neighborhoods."TRUMP SEETHES THAT DEMS FLOATING BILL REQUIRING THE UNMASKING OF ICE, CBP AGENTS MUST 'HATE' AMERICAHawkins cited the March arrest of Tufts University graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk by masked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents outside of her home in Somerville, Mass. ICE accused the 30-year-old Turkish national of supporting Hamas, and DHS later confirmed her student visa had been revoked. She was subsequently transported to ICE detention centers in New Hampshire, Vermont and Louisiana, until a judge approved her release and return to Massachusetts in May.The bill is only the latest of a series of legislative proposals brought by Democrats seeking to unmask ICE agents.U.S. Sens. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Alex Padilla, D-Calif., introduced the "Visible Identification Standards for Immigration-Based Law Enforcement" or VISIBLE Act this week. They argue the bill would "strengthen oversight, transparency, and accountability for the Trump Administrations indiscriminate and alarming immigration enforcement tactics that have terrorized communities across California and the nation."Reacting to the Senate bill, President Donald Trump noted how demonstrators protesting ICE and other Trump administration policies don masks and other face coverings regularly to hide their identities."It's sort of funny when people picket in front of Columbia, in front of Harvard, and they have masks on more than masks. I mean, you can't see anything. Nobody complains about that. But when a patriot who works for ICE or Border Patrol puts a mask on so that they won't recognize him and his family, so they can lead a little bit of a normal life after having worked so hard and so dangerously, there's a problem with that," Trump said Wednesday during a White House meeting with African leaders."This is the problem with the Democrats. They have a lot of bad things going on in their heads," Trump added. "They've lost their confidence, number one. And they're really they've become somewhat deranged. I want to do whatever is necessary to protect our great law enforcement people. And they are right at the top of the list."The Justice Department told Fox News Digital on Wednesday it is actively tracking the recent uptick in "targeted assaults" against federal immigration enforcement agents and ICE facilities.0 Reacties 0 aandelen 13 Views 0 voorbeeld

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump is taking the fight to the CCP. It's long past time we protected our bases and critical infrastructureThis week, U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollinsannounceda nationwide ban on farmland sales to Chinese nationals and other foreign adversaries. At the same joint press conference, Defense Sec. Hegseth added that the Department of Defense would also work specifically to restrict the sale of other properties near American military bases. As a former Army intelligence captain, this weeks announcement doesnt just bring welcome newsit delivers a sigh of relief. After four years of weakness under the Biden administration, we finally have a commander-in-chief who isnt afraid to confront the Chinese Communist Partys (CCP) dangerous moves on American soil.In recent years, Chinese nationalsexpandedtheir ownership of U.S. land to 265,000 acres. Even worse, Chinese entities havestrategically purchasedproperties near 19 key military installations, including Fort Bragg and Fort Hood. Theyve also bought control of key industries vital to our food supply lines. In fact, China now controls the import of 70% of crop protection products that our farmers rely on to grow their crops. You dont need to be an intelligence expert to see the inherent national security vulnerability that arises if we surrender key American industries to Chinese-backed companies.TRUMP ADMINISTRATION MOVES DECISIVELY TO BLOCK CHINA FROM WEAPONIZING AMERICAN FARMLANDFortunately, several states like Georgia, Florida, and Texas have already stepped up to ban foreign land purchases, especially near military bases within their states. Now, the Trump administration is taking the fight nationally. Officials are cracking down on acquisitions across the country and taking the decisive steps needed to protect both our military infrastructure and American food security. These concerns arent just hypotheticaltheyre playing out in alarming ways.Take, for example, the CEO of TP-Link, a Chinese state-sponsored networking company currently under intense federal scrutiny. Jianjun Zhao, a Chinese national, acquiredat least two significant agricultural land parcels in Californias Silicon Valley and neighboring Monterey County. This is the same company whose Wi-Fi routers were the subject of a congressional hearing earlier this year, during which a member of CongresswarnedAmerica not to use their routers and exposed how Chinese state-backed hackers use devices like TP-Links to preposition for potential cyberattacks on Americas critical infrastructureour power grids, water systems, telecommunications networks, and more.Today, TP-Linkcontrolsa staggering 65% of the U.S. home and small-business router market, allegedly achieved through predatory pricing. Now, with Zhaos land purchases, we may be witnessing a troubling pattern: strategic acquisitions by Chinese nationals tied to entities under intense national security scrutiny, in regions of high infrastructure and economic sensitivity. This is exactly the type of threat the Trump administrations new policies are designed to addressbefore its too late.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONMake no mistake. President Trump isnt just taking action against foreign ownership in the agriculture industry. Hes also addressing threats posed by TP-Link head on. Not only has the Trump administration launched a criminal antitrust investigation against TP-Link for alleged predatory pricing enabling it to dominate the US Wi-Fi market, but the administration is also considering banning TP-Link sales in the United States altogether as early as this calendar year as reported by The Wall Street Journal a critically important step toward improving our national security posture.Thankfully, Trump saw threats like this coming and made sure America was ready. During his first term, he had the foresight to establish the Information and Communications Technology and Services (ICTS) Authoritiesa powerful mechanism designed to swiftly root out national security threats such as those allegedly posed by TP-Linkfrom Americas internet and communications networks. Today, that bold move is paying dividends.Of course, there will be many who still do not see the importance of taking action against Chinese threats. Others have recently adopted the bizarre claim that banning foreign ownership of key industries somehow "weaponizes racism." But no enemy of the United Stateswhether China or otherwisehas the right to own vast parcels of real estate or control key industriesthat threaten the security of the United States. Yesterdays press conference sent the message loud and clear to our enemies abroad that the days of American complacency are over.Make no mistake, the CCP threat remains high. Their spies are persistent, their hackers sophisticated, and their land purchases calculated. That's why we must continue investing in counterintelligence, bolstering our cybersecurity, and blocking foreign ownership of strategic assets. President Trump's leadership and decisiveness is breathing new life into a long-running push by the national security community to counter this threat from the CCP. We must demand vigilance, support policies that prioritize our security, and reject the complacency of the past. The Chinese threat is real and with new leadership in the White House, we're finally fighting back.0 Reacties 0 aandelen 15 Views 0 voorbeeld

WWW.FOXNEWS.COM'Gut check time': Dissent among Senate GOP ranks threatens to reduce Trump's spending cut demandSenate Republicans are gearing up to claw back billions of dollars in foreign aid and public broadcasting funding, but dissent is brewing among some who could eat into President Donald Trumps cut request.A cohort of Senate Republicans are publicly and privately growing squeamish over the White Houses $9.4 billion rescissions package, which would slash $8.3 billion from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and over $1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), the government-backed funding arm for NPR and PBS.'BAIT AND SWITCH': SCHUMER WARNS OF BITTER FUNDING FIGHT OVER GOP CUTS PLANThe cuts stem from Trumps Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which was lauded by most Republicans for its mission to root out waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.Still, concerns and calls for changes are being made, in particular to proposed slashes to the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the public broadcasting fund.Publicly, Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Mike Rounds, R-S.D., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, have all aired their concerns about the House-passed bill and are eyeing changes that could see the cuts reduced.TRUMP'S PLAN TO SLASH 'WOKE' FOREIGN AID, NPR FUNDS CLEARS HOUSE AS SENATE BATTLE LOOMS"I don't like it as it is currently drafted," Murkowski said. "Im a strong supporter of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and our health programs are important."Collins has raised issues with slashes to PEPFAR, an issue brought forth during a hearing with White House officials last month, while Rounds is worried about funding being slashed to rural radio stations, particularly for Native American populations in his state and others "and their ability to get good information during times of stress."Senate Republican leadership already has plans for an amendment process on the bill, which will likely culminate in another marathon vote-a-rama amendment session roughly two weeks after the grueling amendment process for Trumps "big, beautiful bill."Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., said that he intended to put the package on the Senate floor next week, likely ahead of the Friday deadline for lawmakers to advance the clawbacks. If the bill is amended, it would have to be sent back to the House before heading to Trumps desk.Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., told Fox News Digital that he expected the vote-a-rama to begin Wednesday, and said the hope was that leadership would be able to address as many concerns among Republicans as possible before bringing the bill to the floor."Whatever it takes, were having those conversations," he said. "The point is, once we get to the vote-a-rama, we want to have as much issues resolved so we know where we're at on the floor without any surprises. And I think we can do that, maybe not, but I think we can. I think we got a good picture of where we're at right now."Other lawmakers see the package in its current form as a no-brainer to pass.Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said that if amendments were offered to keep spending that he agreed with, he could find himself supporting tweaks to the package. But he challenged his colleagues to reject a spending cut package that ultimately amounted to less than half a percent of the nations entire budget."This is gut check time for our Republican colleagues," he said. "They either believe in reducing spending or they don't. They either believe in spending porn or they don't, and I've listened to my colleagues, especially in the last 100 plus days, talk about how great DOGE was. Well, now is the chance to show it."0 Reacties 0 aandelen 15 Views 0 voorbeeld

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMFederal judge deems former Chicago alderman accused of bribery unfit for trialA federal judge ruled that a 76-year-old former Chicago alderman accused of bribery and lying to the FBI is unfit for trial, saying it would have an "adverse effect" on her health.Carrie Austin was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2021 "for allegedly conspiring to receive home improvements from construction contractors seeking city assistance for a development project" in her Far South Side ward, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois said at the time.Austin, who spent nearly 30 years on the Chicago City Council before resigning in 2023, pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to Fox32 Chicago. Her attorneys argued that the trial, scheduled for November 2025, should be postponed indefinitely as Austin was dealing with serious health problems such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart ailments and cancer, the station added."Merely the act of showering or walking from room to room in her house is strenuous for the Defendant, so there is no doubt that traveling to and from the courthouse, sitting in trial all day, and traveling to meet with her attorneys at night, even with the aid of a scooter, will have an adverse effect on her health compared to resting at home as she currently does most of the time," Judge John Kness was quoted as saying in his ruling, after consulting with doctors.CHICAGO MAYOR VOWS CITY POLICE WILL NOT EVER COOPERATE WITH ICEFederal prosecutors said Austin was charged with one count of conspiring to use interstate facilities to promote bribery, two counts of using interstate facilities to promote bribery, and one count of willfully making materially false statements to the FBI."According to the indictment, starting in 2014 a construction company planned to construct a residential development in Austins ward at a cost of approximately $49.6 million," the U.S. Attorneys Office said.It added that beginning in 2016, Austin and her chief of staff, Chester Wilson, "were provided with personal benefits by the owner of the construction company and other contractors in an effort to influence them in their official capacities."OUSTED DEM 'SUPER MAYOR' CHARGES WHOPPING PRICE TAG FOR TELL-ALL BOOK WHILE DODGING LEGAL TROUBLES"According to the charges, in June 2017 a contractor on the development project paid an invoice for $5,250 to cover a portion of the purchase price of kitchen cabinets at Austins residence by falsely representing that the cabinets were for an address within the development," prosecutors said. "In addition, in July 2017 Austin accepted from a contractor on the project an offer to pay for two brand new and expensive sump pumps, and to have the contractors family member buy and install a new dehumidifier, the indictment states."In 2021, Austin collapsed during a City Council meeting because of her lung conditions and was rushed to a hospital, Fox32 Chicago reported, citing court documents. The station said years later, federal prosecutors tried to refute her claims of being medically unfit, arguing a surveillance video showed Austin walking in and out of a salon without help. However, Judge Kness ultimately ruled her unfit for trial, noting that Austins current state would make it hard for her to meet with her legal team and participate in her own defense.0 Reacties 0 aandelen 15 Views 0 voorbeeld
