WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJohn Kerry admits Trump was 'right' on border, says he told Biden that Democrats missed on immigrationFormer President Biden's climate czar John Kerry admitted during an interview on Thursday that President Donald Trump was "right" about the border and Democrats had let it fall under siege."The first thing any president should say, any president, or anybody in public life, is, without a border protected, you don't have a nation I believe that. If you're going to define your nation, you have to have a border that means something," Kerry said during an interview on BBC's "Reflections" podcast. "We have a system. I wish President Biden had been heard more often saying, 'I'm going to enforce the law.'"Kerry served as former President Barack Obama's Secretary of State and was also the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, losing to George W. Bush. BBC correspondent James Naughtie said during the discussion that Trump would likely point at Kerry's remarks and declare he was right about the issue."He was right," Kerry responded. "The problem is we all should have been right. Everybody should have been right, doing the same thing, all moving in the same direction."JOHN KERRY GETS DEFENSIVE AS MSNBC HOST POINTS OUT RUSSIA ANNEXED CRIMEA WHEN HE LED OBAMA STATE DEPARTMENTKerry said earlier in the discussion that he told Biden that the Democratic Party had missed on the issue of immigration."They just allowed the border to continue to be sieged, under siege," Kerry said. The former secretary of state also noted that Democrats supported an immigration bill that several Republicans and Trump opposed.JOHN KERRY TORCHED FOR CLAIMING PEOPLE WOULD 'FEEL BETTER' ABOUT UKRAINE WAR IF RUSSIA REDUCED EMISSIONSNaughtie also asked Kerry if it would have helped if Biden had announced earlier that he wasn't going to run for re-election rather than under pressure from members of his own party."I think in retrospect that's pretty clear, it answers itself," Kerry said.As the BBC correspondent asked if the former president knew that, Kerry said he didn't want to speculate."He's my friend, and he did a hell of a job. I don't think he's gotten enough credit for what a great president he was," he said of Biden.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURETrump has made cracking down on illegal immigration a focal point of his second term, launching mass deportations across the U.S.Between June 1 and June 22, there were 5,414 apprehensions at the border, with the busiest sector being El Paso, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. During that same timeframe, there have been 986 known "gotaways." Both numbers are the lowest ever recorded. In May, there were just under 9,000 apprehensions of illegal immigrants at the border, compared with roughly 118,000 the year prior under the Biden administration by CBP.0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 13 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMDAVID MARCUS: In wake of Kerrville flood, locals ignore blame gameIt didnt take long for Democrats to pounce on last weeks tragic floods here with false allegations that the Trump administration had cut the National Weather Service, leaving the community vulnerable, but the locals are having none of it.With a death toll of over a hundred, many of whom are children, one might expect bitter anger and recrimination. But little of that is on display on the ground. Christian, an Uber driver in his 40s who grew up in Kerrville, said of the flood that "the system will never be perfect, it just came so fast, theres nothing you can do with 20 feet of water rising in a half hour."DAVID MARCUS: IN A DEADLY FLOODS WAKE, HILL COUNTRY TEXANS ARE ALL IN ON EMERGENCY RELIEFThis was in the wake of aggressive questioning by reporters directed at local officials that almost seemed to be intent on finding blame, not explanations. There was a tinge of anger in Christians voice as he added, "Now theyre going after the mayor and the fire department,. Its not fair."This attitude was echoed by Rob, in his 50s who was newer to the area, but told me, "it was a perfect storm," not intending the pun. "It probably didnt help that it was the early morning hours of July 4th, but it was so fast, just a terrible tragedy."This attitude, which basically broke down to looking at the flash flood as an irrepressible act of God, stood in contrast to what I heard from victims of the North Carolina floods of last fall. But there, the anger was about the aftermath, not the lead-up.Locals in Hill Country were also unimpressed by arguments that the Trump administration's federal job cuts had left the National Weather Service ill-prepared to forecast, reporting that was quickly debunked, as it turns out the agency had extra staff working.Likewise, the ever-present left-wing argument that every weather incident in the country is the result of climate change and our inability to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels did not have much purchase. "They say that about everything," one woman told me, eyes rolling. One possible cause of the floods that I did hear about from several residents was cloud seeding. In fact, they were bringing it up to me on Monday, before it broke through as a national story.Experts seem to agree that nearby seeding operations did not cause the massive rainfall, but there was an understandable concern from those I spoke with about the practice of fooling around with the power of Mother Nature. One thing that came through with most of the people I spoke with was that when you live in such intimate proximity to powerful forces of nature, the risk of that is known and in large part accepted.Much as people who choose to live in cities often accept higher rates of violent crime, those who live in the pathway of common natural devastation understand the tradeoffs. There is no perfect safety. For all of our technology from space travel to the internet, in the face of enough fire or water, we remain more or less helpless. Just this year in Los Angeles, the fires raged until the wind died down. It could have been 1925, not 2025.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThere is no question that locals in Hill Country want the authorities to learn as much from this horrible event as possible, and to make changes where needed, such as calls for a siren system to alert residents of flooding.Even sirens, though, are not perfect. If used too often, they will eventually be ignored. If used too sparingly, they might fail to provide warning when water as fast as Kerr County saw last Friday moves in.Millions of Americans, for example, receive tornado warnings from their phones many times a year. Often they are ignored, usually with little harm done, but sometimes with tragic consequences.A final factor that helps the people of Hill Country focus on helping each other, rather than blaming each other or the Trump administration, is the powerful Christian faith held by so many here.It is not just that their faith allows them the comfort of knowing the lost are with God now; the churches themselves became powerful epicenters of volunteering and support. There will be time for answers about the lead-up to this flood. Thankfully, at least for now, all the focus of the locals is on aiding one another and continuing the life and growth of their communities even under a cloud of natures dark power.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAVID MARCUS0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 13 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMOne year after Trump assassination attempt, Butler widow demands accountability from Secret ServiceOne year after Corey Comperatore was killed at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, his widow is demanding accountability from the Secret Service."We were all sitting ducks that day. Our blood is all over their hands. I am angry. I lost the love of my life. They screwed up," Helen Comperatore told Fox News. The Secret Service has admitted to multiple failures after 20-year-old gunman Thomas Crooks climbed onto a rooftop and fired off eight rounds. Those shots killed Comperatore and wounded three others, including then-former President Donald Trump."Why Butler? Why was that such a failure? Why weren't they paying attention? Why did they think that that roof didn't need covered? I want to sit down and talk to them. I have the right to. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMHawley moves to block China's buy-up of US farmland as Trump admin sounds alarmFOX NEWS FIRST: Sen. Josh Hawely, R-Mo., is reigniting a congressional push to ban the Chinese Communist Party from buying up farmland and residential land in the U.S. on Thursday.Hawley is introducing the Protecting Our Farms and Homes from China Act, which bans Chinese corporations and individuals associated with the Chinese Communist Party from making such purchases. President Donald Trump's administration has sounded the alarm about Chinese ownership of U.S. land in recent days, particularly around American military bases."China's ownership of U.S. farmland poses a direct threat to American interests," Hawley told Fox News Digital in a statement. "We should never let our nation's greatest adversary have access to our vital resources, including our housing supply. That's why I'm introducing legislation to protect American assets from the CCP once and for all."While the bill would impose a flat ban on relevant purchases of farmland, the ban on residential purchases would only apply for two years, leaving an option for the president to re-up the prohibition every two years beyond that.TEXAS THE LATEST STATE WITH A LAW BANNING FOREIGN ADVERSARIES FROM BUYING REAL ESTATEThe legislation also requires Chinese corporations and CCP-affiliated individuals who own affected land to divest that ownership within one year. It also establishes penalties for failing to comply with the law, ranging from fines to outright forfeiture.Hawley's move comes in tandem with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announcing its National Farm Security Action Plan earlier this week.CHINESE NATIONALS WHO INFILTRATED US UNIVERSITIESThe plan is specifically meant to address threats from foreign governments, like China, and how those threats impact American farmers. The plan laid out executive reforms and called for Congress to pursue legislation like Hawley's."The farm's produce is not just a commodity, it is a way of life that underpins America itself. And that's exactly why it is under threat from criminals, from political adversaries, and from hostile regimes that understand our way of life as a profound and existential threat to themselves," USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins said at a press event in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.HARVARD UNIVERSITY'S ALLEGED TIES TO CHINESE PARAMILITARY GROUP, IRAN-BACKED RESEARCH SPARK GOP PROBE"For them, agricultural lands and our farms, because they are a previous inheritance, are weapons to be turned against us," she continued. "We see it again and again, from Chinese communist acquisition of American farmland to criminal exploits of our system of agriculture, to the theft of operational information required to work the land and beyond. All of this takes what is profoundly good and turns it toward evil purposes."Joining Rollins at the event were Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPNumerous states have laws on the books restricting land purchases by those with ties to China and other foreign adversaries. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMActress reveals how cancer test that saved her life led to surprising family discoveryOlivia Munn, who previously claimed that a breast cancer risk assessment test saved her life, announced on social media this week that it also saved her mothers life."My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer," the actress, 45, wrote in her caption."You may know that when I talk about my own battle with cancer, I bring up the Lifetime Risk Assessment test that saved my life. I never wouldve predicted it would save my moms life as well."CANCER COULD BE DETECTED THREE YEARS BEFORE DIAGNOSIS WITH EXPERIMENTAL BLOOD TESTWhile there are several risk assessment tools available to patients and physicians, the breast cancer risk assessment tool (BCRAT) is one of the most common, Fox News Digital previously reported. The BCRAT is based on a statistical model known as the Gail Model. It's named after Dr. Mitchell Gail, an NIH distinguished investigator at the National Cancer Institute, according to a National Cancer Institute (NCI) spokesperson.FDA APPROVES FIRST AI TOOL TO PREDICT BREAST CANCER RISKThe five-minute test helps predict a womans risk of developing invasive breast cancer within the next five years, and up to 90 years of age, according to the NCI.Just one year ago, Munn credited the test with prompting her to get a biopsy even after mammograms and genetic testing came back negative. The biopsy showed she had Luminal B cancer in both breasts.Luminal B is an aggressive, fast-moving cancer. The BCRAT calculates a womans "absolute breast cancer risk."CANCER REPORT REVEALS SURPRISING NEW DATA ON DEATHS, DIAGNOSESOn its website, the organization defines this as the "chance or probability of developing invasive breast cancer in a defined age interval."The risk calculator considers factors including age, race, medical history and reproductive history. It also looks at the family history of breast cancer among relatives like mothers, sisters and daughters.Once the information is calculated, users are provided with a score.Fox News Digital previously reported that a five-year risk score of 1.67% or more is considered high-risk. WWW.FOXNEWS.COM10 reasons the DOJ and FBI face backlash over Epstein files flopDepartment of Justice leaders are facing sharp criticism and resignation calls from a faction of their supporters after they ended their inquiry into Jeffrey Epsteins sex trafficking case without releasing new files. The outrage, emanating largely from the right, can be tied to several past instances when those same leaders and other Republicans with large platforms once promoted the existence of incriminating, nonpublic Epstein case files, including a supposed list of sexual predators who were his clients.Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino now say they have nothing further to share with the public about Epstein's case.In a joint, unsigned memo, the DOJ and FBI said Monday that after an exhaustive inquiry uncovering 300 gigabytes worth of material related to Epsteins case, they found no signs of illegal activity by any new third parties.BONDI UNDER SIEGE AFTER DOJ REVEALS NO EPSTEIN CLIENT LIST"We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties," the memo read. The memo stated that "much of the material" related to the Epstein case was subject to court-ordered seals, prohibiting the DOJ from releasing it. The client list, a point of significant discourse, does not exist, the memo said. Some of President Donald Trump's supporters and Patel's and Bongino's massive fan bases are now making it clear that they expected more. Below are 10 possible reasons for that.Right-wing commentator Benny Johnson asked Patel why the government had not released information about Epsteins purported clients, according to a clip Johnson shared in December 2023, before Patel became FBI director."Simple, because of whos on that list," Patel replied. "You dont think that Bill Gates is lobbying Congress night and day to prevent the disclosure of that list?"Patel criticized the Republican-led House for failing to obtain "Epsteins list.""What the hell are the House Republicans doing? They have the majority. You cant get the list?" Patel asked, later adding, "We cant even get basic documents out. This is why America hates Congress.""Put on your big boy pants, and let us know who the pedophiles are," Patel said.In an interview in December 2023, Patel addressed questions from BlazeTV host Glenn Beck about Epsteins "black book." Patel said the FBI had the book."Thats under direct control of the director of the FBI," the now-FBI director said.Patel added, "Thats a thing I think President Trump should run on. On day one, roll out the black book."Epsteins address books have long been a point of scrutiny. His house manager tried to sell one, according to a 2009 FBI affidavit. Gawker published one of the address books in 2015 with phone numbers redacted. That version contains hundreds of both well-known and obscure names. A judge allowed one of the address books to be entered under seal into the court record during his associate Ghislain Maxwells sex trafficking trial in 2021.When asked on "Fox & Friends Weekend" last year if Trump would "declassify the Epstein files" if he were elected president, Trump replied that he would."Yeah, yeah I would. I guess I would," Trump said. "I think less so because you dont know, you dont want to affect peoples lives if its phony stuff in there, because theres a lot of phony stuff with that whole world, but I think I would."On Tuesday during a Cabinet meeting, Trump brushed off the topic of Epstein when asked by a reporter about him."Are people still talking about this guy, this creep?" Trump said. "That is unbelievable.""What about her little black book? The 97-page book, contains the names and contact details of almost 2,000 people including world leaders, celebrities and businessmen," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote this week on X. "No one believes there is not a client list."The Miami Herald's Julie Brown, who followed and reported on Epstein's case for years, has said claims about the list are dubious."There is no client list that I am aware of. My theory is it was something conspiracy theorists cooked up to monetize their podcasts online," Brown wrote in response to social media users in 2024.Sen. Marsha Blackburn has made the release of the Epstein files one of her top priorities over the past couple of years. From promoting anticipated disclosures on the Senate floor to posting dozens of times about the matter on social media, Blackburn has vowed that "accountability for these predators is coming.""Epsteins client list and the information I requested to reveal his associates & business dealings are key to helping us crack this trafficking ring wide open," Blackburn wrote on social media in February.Ahead of the DOJ releasing a small tranche of files in February, Blackburn said "this will be a phase 1 release. There will be more to come."TRUMP SLAMS REPORTER FOR ASKING ABOUT 'CREEP' JEFFREY EPSTEIN DURING CABINET MEETINGThe Trump administration first released that batch of information, which contained no new revelations, in February to right-wing social media influencers. They appeared in photos at the White House with binders the Trump administration gave them that were labeled "classified" and "Epstein files: Phase 1."Blackburn also secured a promise from Patel during his confirmation hearing this year that he would publish Epstein files.Bondi was asked by host John Roberts during a Fox News interview in February if she planned to release a "list of Epstein's clients.""It's sitting on my desk right now to review," Bondi said. "That's been a directive by President Trump. I'm reviewing that."Bondi clarified her remarks during the Cabinet meeting with Trump on Tuesday, saying she was referencing Epsteins entire case file."In February, I did an interview on Fox, and its been getting a lot of attention because I said, I was asked a question about the client list, and my response was, Its sitting on my desk to be reviewed, meaning the [Epstein] file along with the JFK and MLK files, as well," Bondi said. "Thats what I meant by that."After the initial document release flopped, Bondi falsely said the FBI's New York office was intentionally withholding documents from her.During an interview with Fox News's Sean Hannity in March, Bondi claimed a "source" told her the case files were in New York, where Epstein was indicted in 2019."I gave them a deadline of Friday at 8 a.m. to get us everything, and a source had told me where the documents were being kept, Southern District of New York, shock," Bondi said. "So we got them all by, hopefully all of them, Friday at 8 a.m., thousands of pages of documents."AG PAM BONDI ON EPSTEIN FILES: THE PUBLIC HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW"Director Patel is going to get us a detailed report as to why the FBI withheld all of those documents," Bondi said, adding that a "truckload of evidence arrived" at the DOJ after she requested the documents from New York. The attorney general then went on a tirade about transparency and again questioned why the case files were in New York.Bongino predicted on his podcast in September 2024 that the "Epstein client list," which he now says does not exist, "is going to rock the Democrat Party.""Folks, the Epstein client list is a huge deal," Bongino said."The reason the Epstein client list being revealed is so important is because I want you to understand that there is a class of bekightened folks who are not subjected to the same rules you are," Bongino said. The former podcast star warned, "Folks, youre going to see a lot of names on that. Its going to rock the political world. Theres a reason theyre hiding it."Bongino pushed the theory that Epstein's death in 2019 in his jail cell was not a suicide, despite the DOJ inspector general and a medical examiner saying it was.Epstein "is deceased under, at a minimum, suspicious circumstances," Bongino said.In the FBI and DOJ's new memo, they concluded that Epstein's death was caused by suicide.Bondi told Benny Johnson in February that she was briefed about the matter and unable to comment on it.Johnson asked, "Where are we at with the Jeffrey Epstein list? The documents? And Kash has made a lot of public statements about this.""I was briefed on that yesterday," Bondi said. "I can't talk about that publicly. But, President Trump has given a very strong directive, and that's going to be followed."Patel told told Johnson last November that what is "most important" is "restoring trust in our agencies and departments.""The way to do that is to literally give the American people the truth," Patel said. "And that's what they feared about Donald Trump. He's going to come in there and maybe give them the Epstein list and maybe give them the P. Diddy list and they are terrified."Epstein was indicted in 2019 for allegedly recruiting dozens of women and minors as young as 14 and engaging in sexual relations with them at his lavish homes in Florida, New York and elsewhere. He allegedly sexually abused some of them.He died after being found unresponsive in his prison cell in New York City in 2019. Maxwell, his associate, was convicted of conspiring to sexually abuse minors and sentenced to 20 years in prison. She has an appeal in her case pending.0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 35 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMFederal judge blocks Trump's birthright citizenship ban for all infants, testing lower court powersA federal judge in New Hampshire on Thursday issued a preliminary injunction blocking President Donald Trump's executive order banning birthright citizenship, and granting a nationwide class certification status to all infants impacted by the order.U.S. District Judge Joseph LaPlante said Thursday that he will issue a written ruling by the end of the day further explaining his decision. The injunction also narrows down the scope of the class to infants, removing parents from the case.In his order, LaPlante ruledthat deprivation of citizenship, as held by the 14th Amendment, and changes in longstanding policywould create "irreparable harm."Still, the injunction is almost sure to be quickly appealed by the Trump administration. The Supreme Court heard the case earlier this year, and ruled 6-3 last month that plaintiffs seeking nationwide relief must file their cases as a class action lawsuit. They did not, however, weigh in on the birthright citizenship issue itself.Trump's order, signed on the first day of his second White House term, directs all U.S. government agencies to refuse to issue citizenship documents to children born to illegal immigrants, or who do not have at least one parent who is an American citizen of lawful permanent resident. This is a breaking news story.
