A federal judge drew enormous backlash from Republicans after she blocked the Trump Administration on Monday from following through on a provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that strips federal funding from Planned Parenthood.Critics of Judge Indira Talwani said her fast-acting decision to grant Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion vendor, a temporary restraining order was an extraordinary overreach of judicial authority.Tom Jipping, a senior legal fellow at the conservative Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital the judges move was "obviously out of bounds.""What you have here is Congress exercising its explicit constitutional authority to make spending decisions, and you have a district judge arguably trying to exercise power she doesn't have to force Congress to change," Jipping said.PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT CONFRONTS HIGH ABORTION RATES THREE YEARS AFTER DOBBSTalwani, a Boston-based judge appointed by former President Barack Obama, issued the temporary order, which lasts 14 days, after Planned Parenthood sued the government over the One Big Beautiful Act, a massive tax and budget bill. The FBI has joined efforts to find who shot and killed a congressional intern in Washington, D.C.Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, was shot around 10:28 p.m. on June 30, according to police, and died on July 1. The Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened on the 1200 block of 7th Street, Northwest, adding that a 16-year-old male and adult female were also shot and taken to area hospitals.Investigators said multiple people exited a car and began firing shots at a group of people, which included Tarpinian-Jachym.
