Secret Service will not renew former director Kim Cheatle's security clearance
Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle will not have her top-level security clearance renewed, the agency said. This comes after Cheatle resigned last year amid mounting scrutiny over security lapses that led to the assassination attempt against then-candidate Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.Trump survived an assassination attempt during the July 13, 2024, rally, suffering an injury to his ear after a bullet grazed him, while audience member Corey Comperatore was killed and two others in the crowd were wounded. A Secret Service sniper fatally shot the gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who had climbed to the top of a nearby building. The Secret Service, as well as several top U.S. intelligence agencies, including the CIA and FBI, regularly update the security clearances for former directors. But the Secret Service now says not all former directors willhave their clearances renewed under current Director Sean Curran.SECRET SERVICE DIRECTOR CHEATLE RESIGNS AFTER MOUNTING PRESSURE IN WAKE OF TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT"The U.S. Secret Service sponsors security clearances for all the former directors for their knowledge of operational and national security matters,"a Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News. "The purpose for this was so the agency could maintain formal and protected communication including potentially sensitive and classified matters with former officials.""Since appointed, Director Curran has been building a dynamic team of knowledgeable advisors that will help implement his vision for the agency," the spokesperson continued. "Additionally, Director Curran has been modernizing the intelligence apparatus within the agency. During that process, he has determined that not all former directors willhave their clearances renewed."The move not to renew Cheatle's security clearance comes as some Republican lawmakers were voicing opposition to a potential renewal, including Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., who argued that her leadership decisions contributed to the agencys numerous failures surrounding the assassination attempt against Trump."Following the security debacle in Butler, the former director of USSS made the right decision to resign," Johnson said in a statement to RealClearPolitics. "I see no reason for her security clearance to be reinstated."BUTLER ONE YEAR LATER: REVISITING THE HISTORIC ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AGAINST DONALD TRUMPJohnson, who chairs the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, had probed the Secret Services failures leading up to the assassination attempt in Butler.Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee that conducted a joint investigation with a Homeland Security panel into the lapses in Butler, said the agency's failures should prevent her from holding a security clearance."Kim Cheatle disgraced the Secret Service by failing to prevent a horrifying attempt on President Trumps life," Blackburn said in a statement to RealClearPolitics. "Not only did she oversee one of the greatest security failures in our nations history, but she also stonewalled congressional oversight and ran away from my colleagues and me when we confronted her. Under no circumstances should she be allowed to regain her security clearance, and it is shameful she would even try."Cheatle resigned as director 10 days after the shooting in Butler, as she was facing intense pressure from Republicans over the security failures."To the Men and Women of the U.S. Secret Service, The Secret Services solemn mission is to protect our nations leaders and financial infrastructure," Cheatle wrote in a letter to the agency at the time. "On July 13th, we fell short on that mission."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"As your Director, I take full responsibility for the security lapse," she added. On the first anniversary of the assassination attempt, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who chairs the Homeland Security Committee, accused her of lying in her testimony to Congress in the aftermath of the shooting when she denied accusations she turned down requests for more resources for Trumps security. The former director pushed back on Paul's allegations."Any assertion or implication that I provided misleading testimony is patently false and does a disservice to those men and women on the front lines who have been unfairly disciplined for a team, rather than individual, failure," she responded in a statement provided by her attorney.

North Carolina auditor excited for 'real effect' of state-level DOGE: 'Keeping government accountable'
EXCLUSIVE: North Carolina's state auditor said he is looking forward to making a positive impact on taxpayers by implementing a state version of Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, North Carolina state auditor Dave Boliek said his office would look into how the state government can be more efficient and utilize the resources it has in the "best possible way" for taxpayers. He plans on doing that through House Bill 125, a state-level DOGE initiative named after him that recently passed the legislature."It helps to give our office and the state auditor's office more resources to take a look at efficiencies and ways to really drill down on determining a good return on investment of taxpayer dollars across North Carolina," Boliek said."I really support the effort," he said, in part. "We've got the team in place, and we've got the ability to really get effective results."DOGE PREPARES TO LITERALLY DRAIN THE SWAMP BY BANISHING BIDEN'S 'OVERREACHING' WATER RULEThe bill includes a provision for the state auditor to establish a Division of Accountability, Value and Efficiency, otherwise known as the DAVE Act. The bill passed the legislature last week with bipartisan support a 91-23 vote in the House and a 47-2 vote in the Senate. The measure now sits at Gov. Josh Stein's desk, and while it is unclear if he will sign the measure into law, the ability to override a potential veto is there with a Republican majority in both chambers and enough Democrat support."It will become law. I'm very confident that it will," Boliek said.Boliek explained that his office will be taking a "data-driven approach" to determining the best "return on investment in taxpayer dollars." He also said his office will look across the entire state government to identify where it can be more efficient rather than focusing on specific key areas."I think it'd be unfair to sort of pick out one specific area where we see cuts are necessary because we haven't taken that deep dive yet, but we are going to use modern computer programs, we're going to use AI and we're going to use a lot of data analysis to come up with solid common-sense recommendations," he said.TEXAS CREATES ITS OWN VERSION OF DOGE AS GOV. GREG ABBOTT SAYS REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT IS 'TOO BURDENSOME'Unlike DOGE, the goals of the DAVE Act include allocating funds to areas where there are not enough resources, in addition to eliminating wasteful spending.Boliek said the legislature has asked for open positions in the state to be examined to determine why the roles are unfilled and, if necessary, what needs to happen in order to fill them."I don't think we're limited to just looking at cutting only. There may be areas where the state is responsible for serving citizens, and we're not putting in enough resources. The legislature has been very clear about giving us that freedom to take a look at those areas as well, like where we are underfunding certain things," Boliek added. When asked about areas the Trump administration focused on with DOGE that Boliek could continue with at the state level, he said he wants to pursue initiatives in a data-driven way to ensure his office is backing up its recommendations for cuts or enhancements with "solid data" and "not just a feeling.""The approach should be to take a look at how taxpayer dollars are being spent and ask what is the return on investment? If we're spending tax dollars on a specific program, the real question is what kind of return are taxpayers getting for that amount of money? And that, I think, will drive decisions on recommendations," he said.DOGE REVEALS WHAT YOU GET FOR THE HALF MILLION YOU'LL PAY IN TAXES OVER YOUR LIFETIMEBoliek said "taking a look at how dollars are appropriated is really important" and he pointed out the need for "relief-type bills," including for hurricane relief following the devastation left in the state last year by Hurricane Helene."It's one thing to expend money and appropriate money, it's another thing to appropriate money with some measurables," he said. "That's really going to be key to us being able to be the most efficient. The auditor's office here in North Carolina is well situated to assist with the monitoring of measurables on the expense of appropriated dollars."As he awaits official enactment of the DAVE Act, Boliek said it is an "exciting time" for his office to be able to have a "real effect" on everyday Americans in the Tar Heel State."We want to be able to be relevant to them, and we want to be there so that these citizens of North Carolina know that there's somebody paying attention and keeping government accountable on their behalf," Boliek said.

Dating coach reveals the secret weapon women are abandoning in modern relationships
Margarita Nazarenko has become a virtual best friend to women around the world, known for her bold, unfiltered dating and relationship advice. With a message rooted in self-worth, high standards, and unshakable boundaries, shes built a digital sisterhood that encourages women to stop chasing and start choosing. In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Nazarenko opened up about the message behind her content, her views on modern feminism, and what sparked her mission to empower women online.Nazarenko grew up in the UK, but has spent the last 15 years living in Australia and is married with two children. She is also a podcast host of Being HER with Margarita Nazarenko, and author of the book, "The New Rules: The Ultimate Guide to Being Her."Her journey started as an actress, but she realized her desire was to connect with others in a more genuine manner."What I really wanted to do was connect to people, be on stage and have that kind of connection that I have now," she said. Then her coaching career began."What I did was, I thought what really appeals to me and that was expansion and self-expansion and growth like Tony Robbins and doing all that self-work. So I went and I did a life coaching diploma. From doing that, I realized that I love doing it. I started coaching women."And when she took her knowledge online, her career went off."I started coaching women and then I opened this new app called TikTok. I went on there, and it just went mad, within the first six months. I think I got a million followers. Of just basically saying all the things that I thought everyone knew, but people didn't really know."As a young woman herself, she knew exactly how to reel in her audience to give them advice that they didn't realize they were going to hear."All the videos that went viral in the beginning were to do with how to manipulate a man or how to make him obsessed. I use those kind of titles because I know that in my toxic mind back in my 20s that would have appealed to me. I would have been like, how do I get the guy? How do I catch the guy? But in reality, I give practical advice in saying actually don't center the guy and you shouldn't be chasing him."NEW POLL SHOWS LIBERAL WOMEN THE MOST UNHAPPY, LONELYThe married mother-of-two shares advice that many may consider traditional and old-fashioned, as she expresses concerns with how the feminist movement has bled into the way women approach sex and relationships."We've been told you don't need no man, you're a queen in your own right, why? The most essential part of being a human being is wanting to have a relationship with someone and perhaps a family. And if women get shamed into thinking that all they can do is work and that's the only thing that's going to be celebrated, I think that's sad because some women want to work, but some women want a relationship and a family, and that's great too," Nazarenko said. However, Nazarenko doesn't believe feminism and hustle culture can apply to women when approaching dating."The more you chase a guy, the more you explain to him how great you are, how cute you are, how amazing you are. The less he believes you. It is the most aggravating and annoying thing."Additionally, through her content she reminds women to see themselves as the prize and to focus their attention on themselves rather than the men they are interested in."Women succeed in dating when they focus on themselves, when they decide who they are, when they have really strong boundaries," she said.Nazarenko focuses on the importance of being feminine throughout her content. "If men want another hustler, they can go and find a work partner and they can make it happen," she said."The one thing that men can't get from each other is femininity. That's why they're attracted to women. And that's why things like dresses and heels and all that is attractive to them because they don't wear it. It seems as something different. It seems something untouchable to them."ENTREPRENEUR ELENA CARDONE SAYS THE LEFT HAS HIJACKED FEMINISM AND BETRAYED WOMENGeneration Z is appearing to desire long-term commitment and turn away from short-term satisfaction in dating compared to previous years.A study conducted by The Times and YouGov showed that young adults today are more in favor of marriage than young adults were 20 years ago. Only one-fifth of this age group believes marriage is "irrelevant," while a third believes it is better for a couple to be married before having children."This exact natural reaction that Gen Z are having," Nazarenko said. "And that is, do you know what? I don't wanna hook up with everyone because at the end of it, it makes me feel bad. I don't like it. It gives me a bad feeling. No matter how much media or no matter where I read that, you know, it's liberating. It's actually not."She argues that the fallout from sexual liberation has left women emotionally depleted."What's happened is because of the pill and sexual liberation, we now give everything that we have, our time, effort, energy, body, everything to men, just because we think that we're equal to them, which we are as human beings, but what we are physically and what we can do is not equal. We are able to have children, they are not."Nazarenko emphasized how hook-up culture affects women."When you're having a hookup, you're thinking and feeling in your body that this could lead to a potential child. That is a really long engagement for a woman. Then you get hooked on the guy because this could be now the potential father of your children. Even if it doesn't happen, that is in your mind and in your biology and investment that you're making. For him, it's different.""That's what it feels like as a woman, when men perhaps sleep with you and then move on, that you weren't good enough. Even if it's not true, that's how it feels."'MAKE AMERICA HOT AGAIN' SOCIALS BRING YOUNG CONSERVATIVE SINGLES TOGETHER IN NEW YORK CITYDespite her critiques of modern feminism, Nazarenko is unapologetic in her belief that being a woman is powerfuland that power begins with self-respect."I feel so lucky to be a woman. I believe it's a power to have boundaries. I believe, it's power to say, actually, you can't have access to me because I am worth more than that. I don't believe it's a way to look down on women. I actually think it's a way to look up to women that the access should not be that easy."Her message to women is simple but unwavering: recognize your uniqueness and treat it as sacred, and this is the key to making your love-life dreams come true."You don't need to compete. There's only one of you. Your DNA will never happen again. You're incredibly special."Watch Margarita Nazarenko appear on "Fox & Friends" on August 4 at 6:50 am ET.

Transgender plaintiffs challenge Idaho bathroom law with new complaint
There is a new challenge to an Idaho law that keeps transgender individuals from going into womens restrooms.Idaho H.B. 264, introduced as a way to protect the "privacy of women" in bathrooms and dormitories, is being taken on by two transgender plaintiffs who claim the law will subject them to further harassment.Atlas Jones and Sophie Smith (a pseudonym) say theyve had no issues using the restrooms of the genders they identify with at Boise State University and the University of Idaho, but now they are filing a complaint over fears the law will cause "irreparable harm" and may subject them to harassment from their peers.I WON'T STAY SILENT ABOUT THE SCARS FROM MY TRANSGENDER EXPERIENCE"Atlas lives as a man in his daily life, and he has received medical treatment to bring his appearance in line with his identity, including hormone therapy that masculinized his body and deepened the sound of his voice," the complaint explains. "Consistent with longstanding practices at BSU that permit him to do so, Atlas has, for his entire time at BSU, used mens restrooms without any issue. While using mens restrooms, Atlas has never experienced any criticism, harassment, or any other problem from another person."The complaint alleges that if Atlas were to use the womens bathrooms, "he would be at risk of harassment and violence" because onlookers would think a man was using the womens bathroom."Using restrooms that do not align with their gender identity would put plaintiffs at risk of being exposed to their peers as transgender," the claim states. "Neither Atlas nor Sophie is out as transgender to most people on campus, because they do not want to face unequal treatment and because it is generally irrelevant."Other concerns outlined in the complaint include the limited use of single bathrooms and the stigma surrounding using them, along with "avoiding the use of restrooms on campus altogether," which could endanger ones health."Idaho has no justification in barring Plaintiffs from using restrooms that align with their gender identity," the case states. "During their time at their respective institutions, neither BSU nor U of I has had any categorical ban preventing transgender people like Plaintiffs from using restrooms that align with their gender identity. BSU and U of Is practice of allowing individuals on campus like Plaintiffs to use bathrooms aligning with their identities has not caused any harm, and it has allowed transgender people like Plaintiffs to complete their education and contribute to the campus community without discrimination, harassment, or opprobrium."The passage of the bill has garnered public support from various political leaders."Women and girls should not be forced to sacrifice their privacy and safety to activists pushing gender ideology," Alliance Defending Freedom Legal Counsel Sara Beth Nolansaid of the bill. "Allowing men to invade girls spacesincluding locker rooms, sleeping areas, or restroomscompromises their dignity. H.B. 264 ensures that girls spaces in public higher educational institutions, domestic violence shelters, and correctional facilities are not open to men, and it prioritizes privacy and safety for every Idahoan woman."State Rep. Barbara Ehardt, who sponsored the bill, fired back at the lawsuit over social media."They forgot that the Ninth Circuit just upheld SB1100 from 2023, which prevents boys & men from entering bathrooms & locker rooms in K-12. This legislation is EXACTLY LIKE THAT, just for higher ed!" she said.President Donald Trump has been outspoken on the issue of transgender individuals in womens spaces and womens sports. "Across the country, ideologues who deny the biological reality of sex have increasingly used legal and other socially coercive means to permit men to self-identify as women and gain access to intimate single-sex spaces and activities designed for women, from womens domestic abuse shelters to womens workplace showers. This is wrong," his presidential action states.Fox News Digital reached out to Alturas Law Group, of Hailey, Idaho, who did not respond for comment.

'Queen Reid': Embattled Virginia schools boss demands personal bodyguard on top of lavish salary, perks
Three years after leaving a sleepy Seattle suburb to run the school district in Fairfax County, Va., outside the nations capital, Michelle Reid earns more money than the U.S. president and gets a car allowance. Now she wants a taxpayer-funded personal bodyguard. In new job postingNo. 25212BR on BrassRing, an online recruitment platform, the Fairfax County public schools superintendent is advertising for an "Executive Protection Agent," based at the school districts C-suite headquarters on Gatehouse Road in Falls Church, Va. The deadline for applicants is Aug. 5.SCANDAL-PLAGUED SCHOOL DISTRICT REFERRED TO DOJ AFTER ANOTHER TRANSGENDER LOCKER ROOM CONTROVERSYThe new job would earn between $84,552 to $143,880, according to theFCPS pay scale for a "Unified Scale-Schedule B/Grade 006" job, paying far more than thestarting salary of about $58,000 that a new teacher gets in the school district."The Executive Protection Agent is responsible for ensuring the personal safety, security and operational continuity of the division superintendent across school campuses, public events, official travel, and private residences," the job description reads. The new position comes at a time when public school officials, like Reid, are facing heightened accountability in the post-COVID era over curriculum, contracts, budgets and "diversity, equity and inclusion" policies. In 2021, the Biden administration targeted parents for charges of alleged "domestic terrorism" for raising concerns at school board meetings, but new email recordshave revealed the allegations were overblown and politicized.Since taking over on July 1, 2022, Reid has come under fire for allegedly covering up scandals over improprieties in football recruiting, the withholding of National Merit awards from students and, most recently, defying Department of Education orders regarding Title IX protections for girls in sports and schools. The Department of Educations Office for Civil Rightsjust announced that Fairfax County Public Schools and four other northern Virginia school districts, including Loudoun County Public Schools, violated TItle IX protections by discriminating against students on the basis of sex.Last November, the all-Democratic school board voted unanimously torenew Reids four-year contract and increased her annual salary to $424,146 from$380,000, more than the salary of New York Citys education chancellor. Board members also gave her a $12,000 annual car allowance. In contrast, the U.S. presidentearns $400,000 annually.Over her tenure, Reid has been notoriously suspect of leaks, which occurred this week with frustrated school district personnel anonymously raising the alarm bell over the new bodyguard position. The job description notes three times that applicants must demonstrate "discretion," noting in one mention that applicants "must demonstrate a high level of discretion and maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the role."The hiring of a personal bodyguard for a school superintendent is unusual, say experts. The 12th-largest school district in the U.S., Fairfax County Public Schoolsincludes 180,714 students in 223 schools, according to the U.S. Education Departments National Center for Education Services.Meanwhile, the third-largest school district in the country, Chicago Public Schools, is about double the size as Fairfax County Public Schools, serving 322,809 students in 643 schools, according to thelatest data, and its superintendent, also called its chief executive officer, doesnt have a personal bodyguard.School district spokeswoman Mary Ann Ferguson said, "Chicago Public Schools does not employ a personal bodyguard position for our superintendent/CEO."Talk of the new job have angered local parents and school district staffers."Queen Reid demands all the luxuries suitable to her station. It's all 'equity for thee, but not for me," said Stephanie Lundquist-Arora, a local mother who has challenged Reid on numerous district policies.Unlike a teacher, the new bodyguard job doesnt require a bachelors degree, but rather any "combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field."In the ad, Reid stipulates the job demands "exceptional flexibility," with an "unpredictable" schedule, "driven by the superintendent's daily activities and security needs."The ad notes: "Must be available for irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, travel, and extended on-call duty."The job requires "knowledge of protective intelligence, behavioral analysis, and threat mitigation strategies," not to mention "skill in surveillance detection, open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, and incident reporting."Reid has a few other requirements that frame the job as a clear bodyguard detail: "Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure, especially in sensitive or high-risk situations."Reid seeks an applicant with "experience in threat assessment and protective intelligence, a "focus on conducting investigations and executive protection" and "completion of executive protection training."Steven Brasley, media outreach specialist in the district's Office of Communications, insisted nothing was out of the ordinary."Fairfax County Public Schools has long provided a security presence for the superintendent at publicfacing events, as part of the broader safety framework implemented by the Office of Safety and Security," Brasley said. The Office of Human Resources, led by William Solomon and Chief of Safety and Security Brian Lambert, recently "collaborated" on a "new Executive Protection Agent position description," Brasley added.Brasley said the role "formalizes responsibility for executive protection including personal security for the superintendent during various activities while also supporting a wider array of responsibilities within the Office of Safety and Security that support the entire school division."The school districts official explanation didnt include any reference to specific threats Reid faces.Kenneth Trump, president of National School Safety and Security Services, based in Cleveland, Ohio, said, "They are basically asking for a personal bodyguard for the superintendent," and that "is not a normal or customary position."He noted, "The job description is one of the shortest I have ever seen for any school security department job," adding the job boils down to a "one-liner," looking for "executive protection" at work, public events, travel and "private residences."Trump said, "It does not reference other duties which one would expect if, indeed, the job extends to other tasks. There is not even the typical and other duties as assigned on the posted job description, which could encompass other tasks beyond the executive protection of the superintendent."Brasley said the new job "is designed to bolster FCPSs work," "identifying, assessing and mitigating risks of targeted violence against students, staff and schools."There is no mention of "students, staff and schools" in the job description.Brasley said that protection of the superintendent is "a component" of the role," but the role "participates in larger security and investigative initiatives across the district, such as the ongoing implementation of a new emergency response system and weapons screening."There is also no mention of a "new emergency response system or weapons screening" in the job posting.

Christian-Jewish organization delivers emergency aid to persecuted Syrian minorities under threat
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews swiftly mobilized its resources in July to aid persecuted Syrian Druze and Christians facing what some have called a genocide carried out by jihadists in southern Syria.Syrian-backed forces, including jihadist fighters, launched attacks against Syrian Druze in the southern part of the country, resulting in the murders of at least 1,400 people, including a 35-year-old Syrian American from Oklahoma, Hosam Saraya, who was visiting family in Syria."Once we saw what was happening in Sweida, we could not turn a blind eye to it." International Fellowship of Christians and Jews President and Global CEO Yael Eckstein told Fox News Digital.WHO ARE THE DRUZE? RELIGIOUS GROUP AIDS SYRIAN MEMBERS UNDER ISLAMIST ATTACK, ISRAELI MEMBERS OFFER SUPPORTHer organization, she noted, had never operated in Syria prior to this year but said her organization "got an urgent call from a hospital from Sweida, and they needed basic medicines, surgical care, ICU medicine and equipment, first responder equipment and masks for morgue workers."The Fellowship coordinated with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to deliver medicine and equipment to Sweida. Eckstein said her group supplied "retired Israeli ambulances to Syria so the locals can operate them."The majority Druze city of Sweida was a focal point of the siege executed by Syrian Islamists loyal to new President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, a former member of U.S.-designated terrorist movements, al Qaeda and the Islamic State.According toChristian Broadcasting Network, Christians were also targeted. Islamists reportedly murdered Khaled Mazhar, pastor of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in Sweida, along with 11 family members. An additional person survived the massacre of Christians because the Islamists thought she was dead.WHO ARE THE DRUZE? RELIGIOUS GROUP AIDS SYRIAN MEMBERS UNDER ISLAMIST ATTACK, ISRAELI MEMBERS OFFER SUPPORTIn July, Israel launched military strikes against the largely Bedouin forces on their way to the southern city of Sweida to stop the massacre. Israel also attacked the Syrian Defense headquarters in Damascus to halt the bloodshed in Sweida. Eckstein added that at least "26 Druze villages were fully burned."Since Fox News Digitals interview with Eckstein, theSyrian Observatory for Human Rights reported at "least 30 villages were damaged by arson and destruction."Eckstein said the Fellowship first provided aid in Syria in April when Druze in Syria were targeted and killed."When we provided 1.500 food boxes to the Druze within 13 kilometers of Israels borders after the massacre in April, two days later Islamists burned boxes of the Fellowship," Eckstein sid.Israel and Syria do not have diplomatic relations. Syria is considered an enemy state because it has launched multiple wars against Israel since the rebirth of the Jewish state in 1948.Eckstein said the Fellowship is "operating in enemy territory, and Jews and Christians are providing life-saving aid. Islamists dont like it. We would like to see that it is in the Syrian governments interests to receive aid and hope that more goodness will be brought to Syria."Now, Jewish people are standing with Christians who are being persecuted in Syria. It is really important to highlight that this is a case of good versus evil and is not just limited to Syria. It is important for Jews and Christians to stand together regarding Judeo-Christian values that sanctify life."TRUMP SIGNS ORDER LIFTING SANCTIONS ON SYRIASafwan Marich of the Israeli Druze community runs the Fellowships Emergency Response Center and told Fox News Digital that, in the Sweida region, "tyhere is a genocide going on. This needs no further explanation, especially for the Jewish people."Once the residents of the deserted village come back, they will understand the magnitude of disaster. Women were kidnapped by jihads, and children were kidnapped and missing."Marich has been in contact with his fellow Druze in Syria."This war is religious in essence," he said. "There is a video of Daesh [Islamic State] going to one of the villages asking, Are you a Druze or Sunni?' And he answered that he is Syrian. He asked him again, so he answered Druze, and he was shot in the middle of the street. It is obvious there is a religious motivation behind this event."It is important for me to help the Druze because, first and foremost, I am a Druze. The Druze people are not aggressive and hostile, but they will not sit idly by when they are attacked. We have in the Druze tradition a commandment to help our brothers. To come to aid of Druze community wherever it might be in the world.Marich also noted he is Israeli, and the other day a Druze officer was killed in Gaza. Twelve officers from the Druze community have been killed in Gaza since the war began."They died defending Israel and the Jewish people. We have an expectation that Israeli society will come through and stand by Druze community, and so we can defend our brothers in Syria. The state of Israel cannot afford to have Daesh on its borders and in the Golan Heights."He pointed to the example of Hamas on the border and its growth as a military danger over the years as a warning about radical Islamists gaining a foothold on the Syrian-Israeli border.

How Trump could un-unite the Xi-Putin alliance
President Donald Trump said on the campaign trail he wanted to "un-unite" the alliance between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. But the immensely complex geopolitical dynamic has prompted questions about whether Trump can pull a "reverse Kissinger" and prompt a modern-day version of the Sino-Soviet split."I think there's many ways this alliance could be fractured," Fred Fleitz, who served as a deputy assistant to Trump and chief of staff of the National Security Council during the presidents first term, told Fox News Digital.TRUMP ISSUES FIRM 10-DAY DEADLINE TO PUTIN TO END WARFleitz pointed to the recent talks between Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his Chinese counterparts in Stockholm and said that pushing China to stop purchasing Russian oil or face tariffs was one route that could be effective in trying to drive a wedge. But Chinese officials have doubled down in their support for Moscow, and in a July meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wany Yi and EU diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas, Fox News Digital confirmed that the Chinese official made clear it is not in Chinas interest to see Russia lose the war.The Chinese embassy did not respond to Fox News Digitals questions regarding what Beijing would consider a "loss" for Russia or why it is in Chinas interest to see Russia win in its illegal invasion of Ukraine. But reports have suggested that China fears Russia losing the war or, at minimum, a cessation of hostilities would free up the U.S. and its allies to focus more heavily on China.Fleitz argued the core strategy in breaking up the Putin-Xi alliance, which the two have publicly vowed is rock solid, should not focus on attempting to push China away from Russia."The Russians and Chinese do not like each other," Fleitz argued, pointing to a 2023 move by Chinas Ministry of Natural Resources when it called for historical Chinese names to be included next to the current Russian names on maps depicting its eastern border areas. "The Chinese actually have changed their maps in the Far East to add Chinese names to Russian cities because someday, I think, China is giving the message they're going to take back Russian territories in the Far East."We need to make this point to Putin. He has a far better future for Russia, reintegrating into the West and Europe as a state in good standing rather than falling into the arms of the Chinese, who do not have the best interests of Russia at heart," Fleitz, who serves as vice chair of the America First Policy Institute's Center for American Security, said.EU DEFENSE CHIEF WARNS OF 'MOST DANGEROUS MOMENT' COORDINATED RUSSIAN-CHINESE AGGRESSION BY 2027The theory that cozying up to Putin could be the ticket in breaking up his alliance with Xi has been dubbed the "reverse Kissinger" in a nod to Henry Kissinger who, starting in 1972 alongside President Richard Nixon, improved relations with China in a move to further isolate the USSR.Trump, to some extent, has already tried this approach, as witnessed by his insistence that diplomacy was the best way forward with Putin, his initial reproach of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as "ungrateful" and his apparent understanding of why Putin invaded Ukraine when it came to supposed threats posed by NATO.Putins war aims have thus far been undeterred and China, which for years took a publicly neutral position when it came to the war in Ukraine, has increasingly voiced its support of Russia despite Western pressure. But Fleitz argued this strategy will take time."It's going to be hard," he said. "But, first of all, our policy with Russia started off in a bad situation for Trump."There was no dialog between Putin and Biden after Russia invaded Ukraine," Fleitz added, noting that despite surface-level commentary, strife between Russia and China is brewing.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPReports in June leaked by the Russian intelligence agency known as the FSB apparently showed that Moscow has dubbed Beijing "the enemy" and is aware of its efforts to gain access to top military technologies by recruiting Russian spies, often disillusioned Russian scientists. While reporting has suggested that Russia views China as a strategic partner to counter the West, Beijing is known for playing the long game, and Moscows dependence on the Chinese Communist Party as one of its few allies could prove a future vulnerability for it."There are press articles coming out lately about how China is spying on Russia and taking advantage of this relationship to advance Chinese security," Fleitz said. "We need to make this point to the Russians at every opportunity the Chinese are not your friend."You need to make a deal with Donald Trump."
