Bondi DOJ files complaint alleging misconduct by Federal Judge James Boasberg
The Department of Justice has filed an official complaint alleging misconduct by US District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg. Fox News has reviewed the complaint which was written by Attorney General Pam Bondis Chief of Staff Chad Mizelle and addressed to the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Sri Srinivasan.Fox News has learned that the complaint was written and filed at the direction of Attorney General Pam Bondi.WHO IS JAMES BOASBERG, THE US JUDGE AT THE CENTER OF TRUMP'S DEPORTATION EFFORTS?"The Department of Justice respectfully submits this complaint alleging misconduct by U.S. District Court Chief Judge JamesE.Boasberg for making improper public comments about President Donald J. Trump to the Chief Justice of the United States and other federal judges that have undermined the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary," says Mr. Mizelle.Judge Boasberg is presiding over a high-profile case involving the deportation of several migrants to El Salvador and has talked about holding DOJ lawyers in contempt because of his assertion that his order to turn airborne planes around was not followed. President Trump has also made critical comments about Judge Boasberg. The complaint details two occasions on which Judge Boasberg made comments the Justice Department alleges undermine the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary."On March 11, 2025, Judge Boasberg attended a session of the Judicial Conference of the United States, which exists to discuss administrative matters like budgets, security, and facilities. While there, JudgeBoasberg attempted to improperly influence Chief Justice Roberts and roughly two dozen other federal judges by straying from the traditional topics to express his belief that the Trump Administration would "disregard rulings of federal courts" and trigger "a constitutional crisis." Although his comments would be inappropriate even if they had some basis, they were even worse because Judge Boasberg had no basisthe Trump Administration has always complied with all court orders. Nor did Judge Boasberg identify any purported violations of court orders to justify his unprecedented predictions."TRUMP FOE BOASBERG ORDERS DOJ TO DETAIL STATUS OF CECOT MIGRANTS SENT TO VENEZUELA"Within days of those statements, JudgeBoasberg began acting on his preconceived belief that the Trump Administration would not follow court orders. First, although he lacked authority to do so, he issued a temporary restraining order preventing the Government from removing violent TrendeAragua terrorists, which the Supreme Court summarily vacated."Taken together, JudgeBoasbergs words and deeds violate Canons of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges, and, erode public confidence in judicial neutrality, and warrant a formal investigation."JUDGE BOASBERG ORDERS RUBIO TO REFER TRUMP OFFICIALS' SIGNAL MESSAGES TO DOJ TO ENSURE PRESERVATIONThe DOJ is asking Chief Judge Srinivasan to refer the complaint to a special investigative committee as an inquiry is essential to determine whether JudgeBoasbergs conduct constitutes "conduct prejudicial to the effective and expeditious administration of the business of the courts." The complaint also asks that Judge Boasberg be taken off the case involving Venezuelan migrants who were deported to El Salvador, "to prevent further erosion of public confidence while the investigation proceeds."The case in question is J.G.G. v Trump. This is the second time the Bondi DOJ has filed an official complaint against a federal judge. In late February, the DOJ filed a complaint about US District Judge Ana Reyes, concerning what the DOJ calls Judge Reyes "misconduct" during the proceedings in Nicolas Talbott et al. v. Donald J. Trump et al., which is a case brought by two LGBTQ groups challenging the Trump Administrations Executive Orders barring transgender individuals from serving in the US military.News of the complaint comes at a time when the Trump administration has excoriated dozens of so-called "activist" judges who have blocked or paused some of Trump's sweeping executive orders from taking force in his second White House term.Judge Boasberg in particular found himself at the center of Trump's ire and attacks on so-called "activist" judges this year, following his March 15 temporary restraining order that sought to block Trumps use of the Alien Enemies Act to quickly deport hundreds of Venezuelan nationals to El Salvador.Boasberg had ordered all planes bound for El Salvador to be "immediately" returned to U.S. soil, which did not happen.WHO IS JAMES BOASBERG, THE US JUDGE AT THE CENTER OF TRUMP'S DEPORTATION EFFORTS?His emergency order touched off a complex legal saga that ultimately spawned dozens of federal court challenges across the country though the one brought before his court on March 15 was the very first and later prompted the Supreme Court to rule, on two separate occasions, that the hurried removals had violated migrants' due process protections under the U.S. Constitution.Boasberg, as a result, emerged as the man at the center of the legal fallout.Trump administration officials have repeatedly excoriated Boasberg both for his order and his attempt to determine whether they acted in good faith to comply with his orders, and Trump himself has floated the idea that Boasberg could be impeached earlier this year prompting Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to issue a rare public warning. The complaint, focused on months-old behavior and allegations surrounding Judge Boasberg first tapped as a judge by then-President George W. Bush in 2002, comes at a time when he could again have a say in a major class action case brought by lawyers representing the former CECOT migrants.Lawyers for the ACLU and others in the class asked Judge Boasberg earlier this month to reopen discovery in the case, citing allegations from a United Nations report regarding custodial status of migrants at CECOT, and the recent decision to remove the 252 migrants sent from the U.S. to El Salvador to Venezuela under the prisoner exchange.Asked at a status hearing in court last week whether the Justice Department would comply with the court's orders, DOJ lawyer Tiberius Davis said they would, "if it was a lawful order."They also said they would likely seek an appeal from a higher court. In April, Judge Boasberg also ruled that the court had found "probable cause" to hold the Trump administration in contempt for failing to return the planes to U.S. soil, in accordance with his March 15 emergency order, and said the court had determined that the Trump administration demonstrated a "willful disregard" for his order. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit stayed his original motion in April, and has yet to move on the matter.

Vance turns tables on media asking if Trump is covering for 'pedophiles,' says press never asked prior admins
Vice President JD Vance trashed the media on Monday for not asking prior presidential administrations why they werent being transparent with the Jeffrey Epstein case.During an address in Canton, Ohio, touting President Donald Trumps economic agenda, Vance replied to a question about whether Republicans were "protecting pedophiles" with how Trump has handled the Jeffrey Epstein case. Vance said Trump has been the most transparent president on the Epstein topic and slammed the mainstream media for only now applying new scrutiny to the story with the president in office."For four years under Joe Biden's Department of Justice, the media didn't give a damn about the Epstein files or about the Epstein case," he said.TRUMP DROPS EPSTEIN-LINKED NAMES THAT MEDIA OUGHT TO BE SPEAKING ABOUT AMID FILES FIRESTORMSome Trump supporters and critics have accused the administration of conspiring to cover up the details of the sex trafficking case against the sexual predator after Trumps DOJ and the FBI said earlier this month that there were no more major details to reveal about the Epstein case."This systemic review revealed no incriminating client list," read a joint memo leaked to Axios. "There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties."The revelation shocked many MAGA Republicans and Trump supporters, who had for years believed that Epstein was at the heart of a child sex trafficking ring that involved blackmailing prominent figures worldwide.EPSTEINACCOMPLICE GHISLAINE MAXWELL HOPES FOR TRUMP PARDON AFTER DOJ MEETING, ATTORNEY SAYSIn Canton, Associated Press reporter Julie Carr Smyth asked Vance, "There are some protesters outside accusing the GOP of protecting pedophiles and were wondering what you think are the reasons the U.S. government should shield the client list of Epstein from the public and what you have to say about any relevance to that here today."Vance responded by saying that Trump has been transparent."First of all, the president has been very clear, were not shielding anything. The president has directed the attorney general to release all credible information and frankly, to go and find additional credible information related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. Hes been incredibly transparent about that stuff.""The president has been very clear he wants full transparency," Vance added.Following backlash to the DOJ and FBI Epstein memo, Trump urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all "pertinent" transcripts on the case. CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREVance then ripped the medias newfound curiosity about the case during Trumps second term."For 20 years, you had Obama and George W. Bushs Department of Justice go easy on this guy. They didnt fully investigate the case, they didnt show any curiosity about the case and now Donald J. Trump is asking his Department of Justice to show full transparency, and somehow thats a criticism of Donald J. Trump and not Barack Obama and George W. Bush."Vance advised the AP reporter and Trump critics, "If you want to criticize the people who arent showing full transparency, you ought to go after the administrations that went easy on Jeffrey Epstein, the administrations that concealed this case for 20 years, and the administrations that failed to show full transparency."

Noem exposes the 'monsters' Democrat senator is fighting to protect in immigration battle
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem criticized U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., on Monday, after he and other lawmakers tried to inspect a migrant detention facility, accusing the lawmaker of prioritizing the rights of criminal illegal immigrants over Americans.Van Hollen, a vocal critic of the Trump administration's illegal immigration raids, was part of a Maryland congressional delegation that was denied entry to inspect a Baltimore U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility. The lawmakers, which included Van Hollen and Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, and U.S. Reps. Glenn Ivey, Johnny Olzewski Jr., Sarah Elfreth and Kweisi Mfume, staged a sit-in upon being denied entry.DEMOCRATS CELEBRATE RETURN OF SUSPECTED HUMAN TRAFFICKER KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA"President Trump lied to the American people when he said the Trump administration was simply going to focus on the worst of the worst," Van Hollen said outside the facility. In response to the sit-in, Noem posted the image of four unidentified illegal immigrants arrested for various crimes, including rape, possession of child pornography, sexual abuse of a minor and murder."These are the monsters that @ChrisVanHollen is protecting over American victims," she wrote on X.U.S. Rep. Johnny Olszewski, D, Md., who was part of Monday's delegation, said they were denied entry despite following the legal requirements to enter."Congress has a legal right to inspect ICE facilities," he wrote on social media. "Amid reports of inhumane conditions, this refusal is alarming. We wont stop fighting for accountability."NOEM DISMISSES JEFFRIES' WARNINGS AS DHS CONSIDERS ARRESTS OF DEMOCRATIC LAWMAKERS AFTER ICE FACILITY CLASHA post in response by the Department of Homeland Security accused the lawmaker of wanting a "photo op.""Congressman, if you need a photo op with the violent criminal illegal aliens you are protectingschedule a TOUR," the post states. "As for visits to detention facilities, requests should be made with sufficient time to prevent interference with the Presidents Article II authority to oversee executive department functionsa week is sufficient to ensure no intrusion on the Presidents constitutional authority. To protect the Presidents Article II authority, any request to shorten that time must be approved by the Secretary."Van Hollen has come under heavy criticism for his advocacy for suspected gang member Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia.Van Hollen was the first of several Democratic lawmakers to fly to visit Abrego Garcia after he was deported to a high-security prison in his home country, El Salvador, in March.Abrego Garcia, 29, has been returned to the U.S. and is facing charges in a sealed federal indictment in Tennessee for alleged conspiracy to unlawfully transport illegal aliens for financial gain and unlawful transportation of illegal aliens.Though many Democrats claim Abrego Garcia is an innocent man who was wrongly deported, the administration has pointed to considerable evidence that he is a member of the MS-13 gang. According to court records filed by his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, he also allegedly physically abused her on multiple occasions."As I have repeatedly said, this is not about the man. Its about his constitutional rights, and the rights of all," Van Hollen told Fox News Digital in June about the case. "The administration will now have to make its case in the court of law, as it should have all along."

Cincinnati mayoral candidate, VP Vance's half-brother, slams city leadership after brutal beatdown
CINCINNATI - A candidate for Cincinnati's mayorship slammed city leadership Monday afternoon after a viral downtown beatdown that has reverberated across the nation."People don't even see the sense in calling 911 anymore," said Cory Bowman, who is also Vice President JD Vance's half-brother in addition to being a candidate for city mayor.Bowman placed second in a nonpartisan primary race in May. He will square off with incumbent Mayor Aftab Pureval in November. His thoughts on citizens seeing no sense in calling 911 came after Police Chief Teresa Theetge said in a press conference that only one person called police while the attack was ongoing."That is unacceptable to not call the police," she said during a Monday press conference. "Traffic was horrendous. People saw this. They were fighting in front of traffic. Why didn't people call us?"Bowman said that with police handcuffed by the current city leadership, he is not surprised by the events of early Saturday morning, which took place on the corner of Fourth and Elm Street outside a nightclub in the city's downtown business district.POLICE IDENTIFY MULTIPLE SUSPECTS IN BRUTAL CINCINNATI STREET FIGHT: 'CRUEL AND ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE'"There's two aspects of it," Bowman told Fox News Digital. "One, it's a wake-up call. It's a wake-up call that we've got to have better policy. We've got to be able to take immediate action to make sure that the residents and the businesses in our communities are safe. The nation is basically seeing what us in the city have already known to be true."Despite the fact that the viral assault could stain his city's reputation, Bowman said it's important for the nation to see what's really happening in cities, and that what happened in Cincinnati is a microcosm of what is happening in urban areas nationwide."Now, I think this is important for the nation to see it, because the nation is seeing that multiple downtown areas in America are seeing failed policies ruin their cities," he said. "And you're seeing riots, you're seen fights, you're seeing crime rise, you're seeing laws that aren't enforced."He told Fox News Digital that crime in the city not only spikes during the summer months, but has increased over time as a whole, which he claims the local government and media deny.BRUTAL DOWNTOWN BRAWL LEAVES VICTIMS BLOODIED AS CINCINNATI POLICE LAUNCH INVESTIGATION"Whenever May and June was rolling around, there was all these press conferences and all these statements from the media that was stating that crime is down, crime is down," he said."Well, the reality of it is that anybody that lived downtown knew that because of snow and because of rain, that maybe some things were being prolonged, but once the warmer months came about, the policies not enforcing the law is actually going to allow just a free-for-all in the city," he continued.Bowman said police officers are voicing their concerns to him about not being able to do their jobs, and he noted that the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) is understaffed to begin with."And then what happens is that these police officers don't see a point in actually booking the criminals, because there's actually prosecutors in the city that have a revolving door mentality that the criminals go in, and then they're released on the streets," he said."And so many of these officers don't even book people because they know they're just gonna be back on the street next week. So they sit in their cars, and they try to do the best they can. They have a heart for the city, but they're being hindered by the policies that are in place."Ken Kober is a 25-year veteran of the Cincinnati Police Department. He echoed Bowman's sentiments about the police department's hands being tied, and told Fox News Digital that the beating is something that "as a society, we cannot accept."BLUE CITY MAYOR NEARLY KIDNAPPED AFTER CLAIMING CITY IS GETTING SAFER: POLICE"It's just nothing more than a savage attack on a couple of people. I mean you see somebody that's completely defenseless, trying to cover their head in their face, and they're just being stomped on by multiple individuals," Kober said.Kober was upset that the positives of the weekend, the Cincinnati Reds winning three home games and the storied Cincinnati Jazz Festival, were overshadowed by the vicious viral video. He, too, blamed local officials for increasing crime."We have a problem with judges that don't wanna hold people accountable, and when they know that there aren't gonna to be any consequences for their actions is when people are gonna go out and we're gonna see incidents like what happened Saturday morning," he said."I hope that the court system actually holds these people to the fullest extent of the law. It would be nice to see headlines six or eight months from now saying that these people were convicted, and they're now gonna get the maximum sentence for whatever crime they've been convicted of."On Monday afternoon, CPD said it charged five people in connection with the incident. The names of the individuals were not released.Cincinnati Chief of Police Teresa Theetge added that there were over 100 witnesses to the attack, and some even filmed it. However, only one call was placed to 911.Police sources told Fox News earlier in the day that they are working to identify at least eight more suspects.People with information are asked to call the Cincinnati Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.

Senate confirms Trump pick to lead independent Nuclear Regulatory Commission
The Senate confirmed its first nominee of the week ahead of what is expected to be a jam-packed schedule to ram through as many of President Donald Trumps picks as possible.David A. Wright, Trumps pick to lead the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a five-year term, was confirmed in the upper chamber on a 50 to 39 vote on Monday. Its not Wrights first time as chair of the commission, having first served in the role beginning in 2020.KEY TRUMP NOMINEES STALLED BY SENATE DEMS PUTS PRESSURE ON GOP LEADERSTrump had previously tapped Wright during his first term, and again selected him to lead the NRC earlier this year. His new term is set to end in 2030.The NRC is an independent regulatory agency tasked with regulating commercial nuclear power plants, reactor licensing and renewal and other elements related to protecting public health and safety when it comes to nuclear energy. Wright's confirmation comes on the heels of Trump's announcement that the U.S. and European Union were entering a trade deal that would see the bloc purchase $750 billion of U.S. energy over the next three years. While the commission is independent from other arms of the government, Senate Democrats have balked at recent attempts to make the regulatory body, in their view, more partisan.'ALL THE OPTIONS': GOP EYES CUTTING AUGUST RECESS TO MOVE DOZENS OF TRUMP NOMINEES STALLED BY DEMSEarlier this year, Trump signed an executive order that demanded the agency consider making its safety standards less stringent, shortening the timelines for environmental reviews and a quadrupling of the nations nuclear power capacity by 2050: all part of the president's quest to ensure America's energy dominance.Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chair Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.V., argued that over the last seven years that Wright has been a part of the commission, first as a commissioner beginning in 2018 and then as chair, he would fulfill the president's wishes."Achieving this will require experienced and highly qualified Commissioners who are empowered to lead the Agency through a period of high expectations," she said in a statement. "Well, David Wright meets that mark."Then Trump fired a Democratic member of the commission last month, and a staffer from the presidents Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was reportedly detailed from the Department of Energy to the regulatory agency. That prompted Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, the top Democrat on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, to warn of a "hostile takeover" of the commission by the Energy Department. The move hurt what began as bipartisan support for Wrights nomination Whitehouse initially backed him but changed his position.GOP LAWMAKERS CLASH OVER STRATEGY TO AVERT GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN CRISIS"I hoped to see Chairman Wright rise to the occasion, but circumstances right now at the NRC continue to deteriorate," he said in a statement. "I cannot presently support his renomination."Still, Wrights confirmation is a win for both Senate Republicans and the White House after Trump called on the Senate GOP to ram his nominees through blockades set up by Senate Democrats. There are now over 140 pending "civilian" nominations for positions across the gauntlet of federal agencies, ambassadorships and judgeships. The Senate has moved at a blistering clip over the last six months to confirm nomineestheyve clocked nearly 100 so far the president has called on Senate Republicans to consider canceling the forthcoming August break to get more done.Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., warned that if his colleagues across the aisle continued to slow walk the process in the upper chamber for the slew of remaining "uncontroversial" nominees, or be prepared to stick around Washington."Or they can rein in their reflexive anti-Trump sentiment and allow some of his rank-and-file nominees to proceed by unanimous consent or voice vote just as Republicans did when the roles were reversed," he said. "And Id remind my colleagues about the dangerous and ugly precedent that theyre setting here. But the choice is theirs. But whether its the slow way or the fast way, were getting President Trumps nominees confirmed."

Trump's reported snub of Taiwan president spurs concerns over deference to China
The Trump administration is reportedly blocking Taiwan's president from stopping over in New York City, en route to a diplomatic meeting in Central America, following pressure from China. The Financial Times reported Monday that the administration has denied Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te the opportunity to stop over in New York City during a planned trip to Paraguay, Guatemala and Belize all countries that recognize Taiwan as its own independent country. However, on Monday, the office of the president in Taiwan released a statement indicating that Lai "currently has no plans to go on an overseas visit," according to Taiwan-state media. A source familiar with the matter at the State Department confirmed that no formal travel plans for President Lai have been announced.TAIWAN ENVOY URGES CONGRESSIONAL ACTION, WARNS OF RISING CHINA THREAT AFTER MEETING LAWMAKERS"In consideration of the ongoing rehabilitation efforts in southern Taiwan following a recent typhoon and regional developments including the United States' tariffs, the president currently has no plans to go on an overseas visit," the statement from President Lai said.According to the Financial Times, which spoke with unnamed sources said to be intimately familiar with the alleged trip, Lai's decision not to travel came after he was informed that he would not be able to stop in New York City on his way to Central America.Lai's trip was also reportedly supposed to include a stop in Dallas, but it is unclear if the Trump administration was also planning to bar Lai from stopping there as well, according to the Financial Times.PILLSBURY: TRUMP TO HOLD TENSE TRADE TALKS WITH CHINAThe White House did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. However, a State Department source familiar with the matter indicated that the Trump administration continues to be committed to the government's long-standing one China policy, rooted in the Taiwan Relations Act, joint diplomatic agreements with China and longstanding pledges crafted by the government in regard to Taiwan and China.Despite being in line with longstanding government policy, the move still garnered criticism from some Asia policy experts and critics of Trump.Lyle Morris, a senior fellow on foreign policy and national security at the Asia Society's Center for China Analysis, said the "first concrete move" under Trump's second term regarding Taiwan is "a cause for concern.""The assumption is this decision was made in the context of ongoing US-China trade negotiations and a possible Trump-Xi meeting," Morris said on X. "Still, not a good sign for enduring US-Taiwan relations.""Denying President Lai a transit is a deeply concerning break with bipartisan precedent and sends a reckless signal to Beijing that our partnership with Taiwan is on the negotiating table," added Democrat Sen. Andy Kim, D-N.J., in a post on X following the news about President Lai's alleged travel."American leadership is now seen as deeply unreliable, with Trumps fits and starts with Ukraine, NATO allies, and other key partners. I urge President Trump to reverse course and do what presidents of both parties have done and allow a transit, and ask my colleagues in Congress to join me in that call."News of the Trump administration's decision to prohibit the Taiwanese president from stopping in New York City comes as the president is reportedly feeling out a potential trip to Beijing himself, alongside major U.S. CEOs. Nothing so far has been set in stone regarding Trump's trip, however.

Comedian Bobby Lee theorizes he was one of the 'woke elements' cut from 'Sex and the City' spinoff
Stand-up comedian Bobby Lee said over the weekend that he believes he was cut from the "Sex and the City" spin-off to remove wokeness from the series. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW) at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Lee theorized that he wasnt brought back for the third season of "And Just Like That" because producers were looking to get rid of the shows more "woke elements.""Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that. I think Sara [Ramirez] didn't come back and some other people," he said, mentioning his series co-star, who played actress Cynthia Nixons non-binary love interest in the show.COMEDIAN SAYS AMERICAN PRIDE IS BACK: 'IT FEELS LIKE WE HAVE A PRESIDENT WHO IS PUTTING AMERICA FIRST'"They tried to put minorities in, and I don't know. I never saw the show," he added.Lee played Jackie Nee, the co-host of Carrie Bradshaws podcast, for the first two seasons of the HBO Max series. At the end of the second season, Bradshaw played by Sarah Jessica Parker left her podcast to focus on writing her novel. Her team of coworkers did not return for the follow-up season.HBO director of media relations, Erin Tresco, disputed Lee's theory that he was a victim of woke cuts. She told Fox News Digital that the reason Lee left the show was that "Carrie is no longer hosting a podcast, and instead focused on her novel, the storyline of characters involved in the podcast came to a conclusion."The comedian had only good things to say about Parker and his former cast mates, telling EW, "Sarah Jessica Parker is the nicest person I've ever met. She made me feel so at ease. I like everyone on there. It was fun. I never have bad blood with anybody. You know what I mean? I am nice.
