Dodgers face federal civil rights complaint over hiring and employment practices
EXCLUSIVE: A federal civil rights complaint has been filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against the Los Angeles Dodgers and the investment firm Guggenheim Partners for allegedly engaging in "unlawful discrimination" under the guise of "diversity, equity, and inclusion" (DEI), in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.The complaint was filed by America First Legal (AFL), the nonprofit conservative public interest organization, against both entities, which are led by Mark Walter, the majority owner of the Dodgers and CEO of Guggenheim Partners.Walter recently became the majority owner of the Los Angeles Lakers as well in a historic $10 billion agreement with the Buss family.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"Their employment practices, as described below, appear to discriminate against employees, or prospective employees, solely because of their skin color or sex. This is patently unlawful," AFLs complaint, which was provided to Fox News Digital, began.AFLs complaint claims the Dodgers and Guggenheim Partners employment practices are discriminatory because, "even when using inclusive terminology," it is used "to segregate or classify employees or applicants for employment in ways that woulddeprive, or tend to deprive individuals of employment, training, or promotions because of their race, color, sex, or national origin."The complaint goes on by pointing out how the Dodgers DEI website reads that it is "sponsoring programs geared to women and people of color," while also "embeddingDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies into every aspect of the organization."YANKEES STAY COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AMID MLB'S QUIET ROLLBACK OF DEIAFL also took issue with the DEI mission statement on the Dodgers site. The statement read, "Our mission is to create a culture where diverse voices and experiences are valued, our people feel empowered by their connections to each other, and the Team and all employees feel they can succeed. ""Our charge is to direct and track impact, establish clear accountabilities, reporting standards, aspirational goals and measurements of success," the AFL said. The AFL argued that the team is using DEI in "quantifiable ways with identifiable goals to achieve success, which appears to entail engaging in unlawful discriminatory hiring, training and recruitment."The complaint mentioned the Dodgers allowing employees to join multiple "Business Resource Groups" (BRGs) within the organization, which provides employees "a forum to gather with other employees who hold common interests, identities and/or social issues."AFLs complaint also took exception to "some of the BRGs appear to provide material employment benefits to employees based on their race, color, sex, or national origin." The complaint mentions the Asian Professionals, Black Action Network, SOMOS La, which "appears to provide Latino employees with employment benefits," and the Womens Opportunity Network.Furthermore, the complaint requested an investigation into Guggenheim Partners, which also has a "Diversity and Inclusion" page stating that DEI plays a role in recruitment, professional development, contracting and more "throughout the Firm.""Guggenheim Partners makes it clear that it defines diversity to explicitly include considering protected class[es] including, in part, those based on race, gender, ethnicity, age, religion, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, and gender identity," the complaint reads.MLB REMOVES DIVERSITY FROM CAREERS PAGE AMID TRUMP-MANDATED DEI PURGEThe complaint points to Guggenheim Partners commitment to "Broadening Pipeline Diversity," which states its wish to "develop diversity recruiting and talent management strategies to identify, attract, develop, and retain top talent.""When diversity motivates employment decisions, and "diversity" refers to race, color, sex, and national originas it does to Guggenheim Partnersthe result is unlawful discrimination," the complaint reads.Guggenheim Partners, like the Dodgers, also operate Business Development Resource Groups (BDRGs)."The BDRGs are open to all employees yet provide employment benefits based upon particular immutable characteristics and are intended to further the firms DEI goals," the complaint reads, highlighting the "Womens Innovation and Inclusion Network" and "Multicultural Employee Business Network" among them. The AFL suggests the EEOC can investigate application data and internal HR policies or practices of the Dodgers and Guggenheim Partners to "identify whether the policies make explicit reference to employment preferences based on race, color, sex, and national origin in violation of federal law."The Dodgers and Guggenheim Partners did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.Earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed executive orders aimed at rolling back DEI initiatives, with one of them including directives for federal agencies to combat DEI in the private sector. MLB took a step to comply, as they removed "diversity" references from their website in March."Our values on diversity remain unchanged," MLB said in a statement at the time. "We are in the process of evaluating our programs for any modifications to eligibility criteria that are needed to ensure our programs are compliant with federal law as they continue forward."The New York Yankees remained committed to pushing diversity and inclusion within its organization despite the national rollbacks of DEI, saying in April that they are "continually working with the members of our Diversity and Inclusion Committee and are actively engaged with our neighbors and community partners," per theNew York Daily News."Our dedication towards these efforts remains unchanged, and our Diversity and Inclusion Committee continues to do its work," said senior vice president of corporate and community relations Brian Smith. In October 2023, the AFL filed a federal civil rights complaint against MLB for racially discriminatory programs, alongside the EEOC. The complaint claimed MLBs official website presented at least four unlawful employment and contracting programs, citing the Diversity Pipeline Program, which commissioner Rob Manfred launched in 2016.The General Services Administration (GSA)announced changes in Februaryto the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) meant to align with the president's executive order aimed at restoring meritocracy and ending discrimination in the public and private sectors.Following an owners meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, in February, Manfred said MLB would be evaluating the interpretation of federal law."Our values, particularly our values on diversity, remain unchanged. But another value that is pretty important to us is we always try to comply with what the law is," Manfred explained. "There seems to be an evolution going on here. Were following that very carefully."Obviously, when things get a little more settled, well examine each of our programs and make sure that while the values remain the same that were also consistent with what the law requires."Fox News Jasmine Baehr and Jackson Thompson contributed to this report.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Michigan teacher, 26, facing charges after allegedly telling coworker she had sex with 16-year-old student
A former teacher at a Michigan charter school allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student and told a colleague about it, according to authorities.Jocelyn Sanroman, 26, was charged with third-degree sexual conduct,FOX 2 reported. The alleged sexual relationship happened in 2023 when Sanroman was a teacher at Oakside Prep Academy, a charter school in Waterford Township, located about 30 miles from downtown Detroit.Sanroman had not been arraigned as of Monday morning, but her mugshot was posted by deputies in Oakland County.MARRIED FLORIDA MATH TEACHER, 32, ACCUSED OF CLASSROOM SEX WITH STUDENT DURING LUNCHTIMESanroman told another teacher about her sexual relationship with the teenage boy, and that teacher reported her to police, prosecutors said, according to FOX 2."This defendant is accused of using her position of authority to exploit a minor victim," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. "These allegations represent the ultimate breach of trust placed in educators by parents and the community.""As a former teacher myself, I applaud the teacher who contacted police about this situation, protecting other students from further exploitation," she added.McDonald said a 16-year-old can consent, but that is not the same when the relationship is with a teacher."It's because we need to make school the safest place it can be for kids, right? Safe from gun violence, safe from assault, safe from sexual assault," McDonald said. "School is supposed to be some place where your kids feel safe."If convicted, Sanroman could face up to 15 years in prison.NJ ELEMENTARY TEACHER ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ABUSING STUDENT, HAVING HIS CHILD WHEN HE WAS 13School officials said the allegations were troubling and that they acted immediately after learning about the accusations."We strive to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for the students entrusted to our care. Their safety and well-being remains our top priority," the school said in a statement to FOX 2.Oakside Prep Academy is part of the National Heritage Academies system, which boasts of its "Moral Focus" lessons that help students "discern and appreciate the difference between right and wrong," the schools website said."Our K-12 curriculum incorporates a strong moral focus, including perseverance, respect, compassion, and courage, into daily activities," the website reads. "Each month, students focus on a different aspect of moral development, building their understanding from introduction to connection, reflection, and application. This method promotes self-awareness, empathy, and resilience, helping them thrive within a nurturing school community throughout their entire K-12 journey."Fox News Digital has reached out to National Heritage Academies for comment.

Republicans scrap deal in 'big, beautiful bill' to lower restrictions on states' AI regulations
A deal that had been reached between Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, over how states can regulate artificial intelligence has been pulled from President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful" bill. The collapsed agreement would have required states seeking to access hundreds of millions of dollars in AI infrastructure funding in the "big, beautiful" billto refrain from adopting new regulations on the technology for five years, a compromise down from the original 10 years. It also included carveouts to regulate child sexual abuse material, unauthorized use of a persons likeness and other deceptive practices.Blackburn announced Monday night that she is withdrawing her support for the agreement.TRUMP WARNS OF 'WHOPPING 68% TAX INCREASE' IF SENATE FAILS TO PASS HISTORIC BILL"For as long as Ive been in Congress, Ive worked alongside federal and state legislators, parents seeking to protect their kids online, and the creative community in Tennessee to fight back against Big Techs exploitation by passing legislation to govern the virtual space," Blackburn said in a statement to Fox News."While I appreciate Chairman Cruzs efforts to find acceptable language that allows states to protect their citizens from the abuses of AI, the current language is not acceptable to those who need these protections the most," she continued. "This provision could allow Big Tech to continue to exploit kids, creators, and conservatives."Blackburn added: "Until Congress passes federally preemptive legislation like the Kids Online Safety Act and an online privacy framework, we cant block states from making laws that protect their citizens."When asked about Blackburn pulling her support for the compromise, Cruz told Punchbowl News the "night is young."ELON MUSK SAYS US IS RULED BY 'PORKY PIG PARTY' AS TRUMP DEFENDS HIS VISION AGAINST FORMER ALLY'S CRITICISMBut Blackburn appears to now be co-sponsoring an amendment with Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., that would completely pull the AI moratorium from the bill.Cantwell had earlier said that the since-scrapped deal between Blackburn and Cruz would do "nothing to protect kids or consumers.""It's just another giveaway to tech companies," Cantwell said in a statement Monday. "This provision gives AI and social media a brand-new shield against litigation and state regulation. This is Section 230 on steroids."Blackburn is one of several Republicans who have expressed concerns about the 10-year ban on state AI regulation.Last week, 17 Republican governorswrote a joint letterto Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., and House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., calling for the pause to be scrapped completely."AI is already deeply entrenched in American industry and society; people will be at risk until basic rules ensuring safety and fairness can go into effect," the letter reads. "Over the next decade, this novel technology will be used throughout our society, for harm and good. It will significantly alter our industries, jobs, and ways of life, and rebuild how we as a people function in profound and fundamental ways.""That Congress is burying a provision that will strip the right of any state to regulate this technology in any way without a thoughtful public debate is the antithesis of what our Founders envisioned," it continued. Some House Republicans also said they do not support the AI provision, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who admitted she found out about it a few days after voting for Trump's spending bill."Full transparency, I did not know about this," Greene wrote on X. "I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there."

Trump warns of 'whopping 68% tax increase' if Senate fails to pass historic bill
As the Senate continued to inch closer to finalizing President Donald Trumps "One Big Beautiful Bill," the president took to social media early Tuesday to warn that a failure to come to an agreement would end in the largest tax increase in history. The message came after lawmakers had been in a marathon "vote-a-rama," for several hours, submitting amendments to the megabill from either side of the aisle. "Republicans, the One Big Beautiful Bill, perhaps the greatest and most important of its kind in history, gives the largest Tax Cuts and Border Security ever, Jobs by the Millions, Military/Vets increases, and so much more. The failure to pass means a whopping 68% Tax increase, the largest in history!!!," he posted.AMERICANS WEIGH IN ON TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL': POLLSThere is currently no end in sight as Republican leaders are searching for ways to garner support for the bill while simultaneously fighting proposed amendments from Democrats who are opposing it.GOP leaders have a narrow margin and cannot afford to lose more than three Republican senators as two, Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky has already indicated that they oppose it.Tillis announced that he would not be seeking reelection after President Trump made threats of a campaign against him.Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakotasaid Republicans are "figuring out how to get to the end game," but an end to the vote-a-rama has been predicted to come well into the middle of the night.SENATORS ENTER MARATHON VOTE-A-RAMA AS TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL' DEADLINE BARRELS NEARThe bill, if passed, will enact Trumps domestic tax and spending agenda that includes $4.5 trillion in tax cuts, according to the latest CBO analysis. The package would also roll back billions in green energy tax credits threatening wind and solar investments, according to Democrats.Billionaire Elon Musk, who until a few weeks ago led the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), took to social media late Monday, lashing out at Republicans as "the PORKY PIG PARTY!!" for including a provision, he argued, would raise the nations debt limit by $5 trillion.Trump fired back at Musk on Truth Social, threatening to turn DOGE on its former leader."Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate. It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign. Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one. Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa. No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!" the president wrote. The bill will also impose $1.2 trillion in cuts toMedicaidandfood stamps and make sign-up eligibility more rigorous and change federal reimbursements to states. It will also provide a $350 billion infusion forborder and national security to include deportations.

Family of victim in Bryan Kohberger case say they were sent into 'panic mode' after plea deal
The family of Kaylee Goncalves one of the victims of Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger said Monday they were sent "scrambling" and "jumped into panic mode" after Kohberger accepted a plea deal to avoid the death penalty.Kohberger, 30, is accused of killing Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, in a 4 a.m. home invasion attack on Nov. 13, 2022.Goncalves' 18-year-old sister, Aubrie, said she refuses to stay silent and reaffirmed her family support for the death penalty in this case. She said she was unable to attend the family's meeting with prosecutors in person to make her case. She said what the victims' families have endured since the murders is "beyond comprehension," pointing to delays and the relocation of proceedings that made it harder for loved ones to attend. She argued that the justice system has placed "heavy burdens" on people "already carrying unimaginable grief" but that they have attempted to hold on to hope.BRYAN KOHBERGER ACCEPTS PLEA DEAL IN IDAHO STUDENT MURDERS CASE"Weve believed in the process. Weve had faith in the system. But at this point, it is impossible not to acknowledge the truth: the system has failed these four innocent victims and their families," Aubrie wrote on the family's Facebook page."These are not just names or headlines. Ethan Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Xana Kernodle were beautiful human beings who touched countless lives," she continued. "They are not just 'The Idaho Four.' They were sons, daughters, siblings, and friendsreal people with real dreams. They deserve to be remembered for who they were in life, not only for the tragedy of their deaths. But before that can truly happen, they deserve justice. Nothing less."The introduction of the plea deal weeks before the scheduled trial is "both shocking and cruel," she said, adding that the families could have had time to "process, discuss and potentially come to terms with the idea of a life sentence" if it had come sooner.BRYAN KOHBERGER RETURNS TO COURT FOR HEARING ON PILE OF EVIDENCE HE WANTS THROWN OUT BEFORE TRIAL"Bryan Kohberger facing a life in prison means he would still get to speak, form relationships, and engage with the world," she said. "Meanwhile, our loved ones have been silenced forever. That reality stings more deeply when it feels like the system is protecting his future more than honoring the victims pasts."She said the justice system "was created to serve and protectnot to retraumatize grieving families," adding: "time and time again, we find ourselves blindsided, unheard, and unsupported.""This last-minute plea deal feels less like an act of justice and more like an afterthought," she said. "We are not asking for vengeance. We are asking for accountability. We are asking for dignity for our loved ones. And we are askingpleadingfor a justice system that truly lives up to its name."The family said in another post that they vaguely spoke to prosecutors Friday about the possibility of a plea deal but that it was a "hard no" for them. They said the majority of the conversation was about the upcoming trial and nothing prepared them for the next steps. They said they received an email Sunday night that sent them "scrambling" and they "immediately jumped into panic mode and started making phone calls and sending emails."The family met with the prosecution again on Monday to reiterate their support for Kohberger receiving the death penalty."Unfortunately all of our efforts did not matter," the family said. "We DID OUR BEST! We fought harder than anyone could EVER imagine."The four victims had all been stabbed multiple times with a large knife, according to prosecutors. Police recovered a Ka-Bar sheath that they allege had Kohberger's DNA on it near Mogen's body.Fox News' Michael Ruiz contributed to this report.

Trumps achievements embolden him to be even more aggressive
Donald Trump must be feeling pretty powerful.Hes even demanding that Israel cancel the criminal trial of Bibi Netanyahu.By any objective analysis, whether you like the president or not, he has been on an incredible winning streak for the last two weeks. Everything seems to be breaking his way.And as he racks up these victories, from the powder keg of the Middle East to the staunchly conservative Supreme Court, he seems to grow bigger and stronger, like some comic book superhero, and then zap his next adversary.TRUMP SLAMS BIBI OVER CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS, DENOUNCES CABLE CHANNELS OVER SKEPTICISMBy hitting Irans nuclear sites with 30,000-pound bombs even as we debate the impact Trump took a risk that stunned the world. With media liberals and Democrats still in full resistance mode, the coverage has been largely negative, but that doesnt matter. Since his days as a New York developer, he has been boosted by critical coverage because that drives the news agenda and gets everyone chattering about his preferred topic. But telling another country to drop criminal charges against its leader is a whole new level of what his native city calls chutzpah.Trump posted the following: "It is terrible what they are doing in Israel to Bibi Netanyahu. He is a War Hero, and a Prime Minister who did a fabulous job working with the United States to bring Great Success in getting rid of the dangerous Nuclear threat in Iran."Netanyahu is in "the process of negotiating a Deal with Hamas, which will include getting the Hostages back," and Trump wonders how the Israelis could force him "to sit in a Courtroom all day long, over NOTHING."TRUMP PRESSURES ISRAEL TO END GAZA CONFLICT AS HE EYES ABRAHAM ACCORDS EXPANSIONAs Axios points out, Netanyahu is charged with bribery, fraud and breach of trust:"Hes accused of accepting more than $200,000 in gifts from wealthy businessmen, and of granting regulatory benefits worth hundreds of millions of dollars to a telecom tycoon in exchange for favorable news coverage."The trial has dragged on for four years, thanks to Netanyahus delaying tactics, and there was this war thing that intervened. So now Trump has called for the trial to be cancelled or Netanyahu granted a pardon and done it quite openly.Imagine if a foreign head of state urged this country to drop charges against a major political figure. But Trump doesnt play by everyone elses rules.Another Trumpian tactic is to make a big move immediately after a major uproar, when the public and press barely has time to digest the previous controversy. So the president cut off trade talks with Canada to protest its taxation of major American tech companies such as Amazon and Google. This involves revenue they earn from online marketplaces, data and social media involving Canadian users. Before the weekend was out, Canada caved and rescinded the taxes. Its another case of Trumps tough-guy negotiating tactics getting instant results. The not-so-beautiful budget bill in the Senate is another classic case. Elon Musk did you really think hed stay quiet for long? calls it "utterly insane" and "political suicide for the Republican Party." The CBO says it would add $3.3 trillion to the deficit over a decade. The Senate measure would also make deep cuts in Medicaid, which Trump has vowed to protect.Heres the point: One of the loudest Republican critics is Sen. Thom Tillis, who has been voting against a bill he says would betray the presidents promise to protect those on Medicaid. Trump has trashed him, saying he will recruit a challenger to oust him from the Senate in next years primary. The next day, literally, Tillis announced that he would not run for reelection. So Trump can save his money. He knocked out the North Carolina lawmaker with a couple of postings. And then theres the Supreme Court.By ruling that local judges cannot issue nationwide injunctions, the court has immensely increased the power of Trump and the executive branch. The 6-3 decision came in the birthright citizenship case, though not on the merits, and tore down one of the last guardrails against unchecked presidential power. It applies to Democratic presidents too, though far more of these injunctions 40 have been brought against Trump just in the opening months of his second term. Joe Biden faced 14 in the first three years of his term. These injunctions which have always seemed unfair to me, on both sides also extend Trumps winning streak in the high court. He has, after all, appointed three of the six justices that make up the conservative majority.JOHN YOO: TRUMP SCORES HISTORIC WIN AS SUPREME COURT REINS IN LOWER COURTS' OVERREACHAnd thats not all. SCOTUS ruled that parents with religious objections can pull their children out of public school classrooms when books with LGBTQ themes are being taught. In yet another decision, the court upheld a Tennessee law banning some forms of transition surgery for transgender youths. Trump has ordered transgender members of the military to leave the service.SUBSCRIBE TO HOWIE'S MEDIA BUZZMETER PODCAST, A RIFF ON THE DAY'S HOTTEST STORIESSonia Sotomayor read two blistering dissents from the bench, especially in the birthright citizenship case: "Todays decision is not just egregiously wrong, it is also a travesty of lawNo right is safe."Trump has made clear that he will use expanded powers to be even more aggressive than in the past. Throw in his pressure tactics and funding freezes against elite law firms and Ivy League universities and you have an emboldened president even more determined to stick it to his opponents and detractors.Of course, even Trump has his limits. The effort to derail Netanyahus corruption trial was destined to fail.Oh wait.An Israeli court yesterday canceled this weeks hearings on diplomatic and national security grounds, based on classified information provided by the prime minister and the Mossad spy agency.Coincidence?

Prince William draws hard line on uncle Prince Andrews royal future: experts
Theres absolutely no royal role for Prince Andrew under his nephews reign.Royal experts previously told Fox News Digital that Prince William has been quietly preparing for his future as king as he continues to support his father, who is getting treatment for cancer. And one thing they all agreed on is that the disgraced Duke of York wont return from the shadows anytime soon."Anyone who poses a threat to the monarchy is banished," British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard warned Fox News Digital.KING CHARLES, PRINCE HARRY AT POINT OF 'NO TURNING BACK' AS MONARCH REFUSES RECONCILIATION: EXPERT"Prince William is a shrewd operator and stands firm in his decisions," Chard shared. "He is committed and determined to do his best for the future of the monarchy. And his mind is made up. His scandalous uncle is viewed as a black cloud. Future public royal duties are off the cards. If allowed, Andrew will likely bring further reputational damage to the monarchy at a time when the royal ship needs a careful steer."Prince Andrew will not have a formal role in Prince Williams future modernized, streamlined, monarchy," Chard added.Chards statements came shortly after insiders close to the Prince of Wales told The Times U.K. that there wont be a role for Andrew given his controversial ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, the late American financiers girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell and alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.According to the outlet, all continue to convince William, 43, that his uncle is a "reputational risk" and a "threat" to the institution. The outlet also pointed out that while most of the royal family, including Andrew, gathered for church on Easter Sunday at Windsor, William "swerved it" and instead, worshiped with his in-laws in Norfolk.Fox News Digital reached out to Kensington Palace for a comment about the report. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace previously told Fox News Digital they dont speak for Andrew, 65, as hes no longer a working royal. The duke stepped back in 2019 after his disastrous interview on "Newsnight," where he attempted to explain his friendship with Epstein."The idea that Prince William or frankly anyone in the line of succession would welcome Prince Andrew back as a working royal is not only unrealistic, its absurd," Kinsey Schofield, host of the "To Di For Daily" podcast, told Fox News Digital.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER"Prince Andrews name remains inextricably linked to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, and although Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing, public perception has never recovered," she pointed out. "Now, with the tragic suicide of his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, the controversy is once again back in the headlines.""Prince William positions himself as a modern, duty-driven future king," said Schofield. "Theres simply no room for scandal-plagued figures regardless of familial ties. In the court of public opinion, guilt by association is powerful. William knows that, and any suggestion of Andrews return would be met with public outrage."Royal experts have previously been adamant with Fox News Digital that William will reportedly ban Andrew from royal life.Following Andrews nuclear interview, his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, stripped him of his royal duties and charity roles. More recently, his brother,King Charles III, tried to persuade Andrew to cut his expenses by leaving his home, Royal Lodge, a sprawling royal estate, and instead, moving to a smaller cottage inside the security perimeter of Windsor Castle. However, Andrew remains ensconced in the 30-room Royal Lodge.British royals expert Hilary Fordwich claimed to Fox News Digital that the king, 76, is "both relieved and delighted" that William is already taking on a no-nonsense stance.LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS"His uncle Andrews reckless conduct has put the family in jeopardy," said Fordwich. "He wont and cant risk public association with such a disastrous member of the family who merely serves as a distraction from public duty.""[King Charles is pleased] William has taken such a dutiful, dedicated approach to the monarchy," Fordwich claimed. "Hes not the playboy of many past Princes of Wales, ancestors of his who didnt either take the role seriously and/or were defined by debauchery. Prince William is unwavering in his determination to keep Andrew permanently sidelined from royal life, including being excluded from the recent major ceremonies Garter Day and Trooping the Colour.""Prince William sees this risk as a liability to the monarchys reputation and stability as permanent," Fordwich continued. "His resolve is absolute. King Charles, while maintaining a private, familial relationship, is in the same camp but does have a special agreement that allows his wayward brother to attend private family luncheons but no more public processions or official duties. This approach is wise as it keeps familial peace while upholding a proper public image."Royal experts claim Andrew has been attempting to keep his head down at Royal Lodge. Expert Richard Fitzwilliams pointed out that he previously signed a 75-year lease to stay at the palatial property. But Andrews future is clear to all behind palace doors."There is no possibility of Andrew taking a more active role in the royal family under King Charles or William," Fitzwilliams now told Fox News Digital. "He will appear only at church services. His reputation is toxic, and more information may come to light about his friendships and business links, which will cause even more embarrassment to the royal family."Fitzwilliams noted that as long as Andrew can "satisfy the demands of the lease," he can stay at Royal Lodge for now."He shows no sign of wanting to do charitable work or do any work on the royal estates," said Fitzwilliams. "He remains a symbol of entitled idiocy."Back in December, Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, told Fox News Digital she agreed with a scoop from Charlotte Griffiths, the Mail on Sundays editor-at-large, who claimed that Charles had been secretly paying Prince Andrews rent. Buckingham Palace didnt immediately respond to Fox News Digitals request for comment at the time."Theres absolutely no doubt that Charles is the one who is providing the money for Andrew because the [late] queen wouldnt have left Andrew bereft," said Seward."She wouldve made a provision for him, and maybe that provision came through his elder brother as monarch," she shared. "When the king dies or the queen dies, the money goes to the next monarch. Everything goes to the next monarch. So, she either would have made provisions for Andrew before she died, or she wouldve made provisions through Charles."KING CHARLES, PRINCE HARRYS PAINFUL FEUD DAMAGING MONARCHS REIGN AS GUTTED SON REMAINS FURIOUS: EXPERT"I believe that Charles is helping him," Seward continued. "I dont see who else would. Im sure [Andrews ex-wife] Fergie would help him. I know Fergie does very well with her books, but I [cant] imagine she would make enough to run Royal Lodge on her own.""I certainly think that the only person who could really be doing this is either monies from the queen or monies from the king," she said.

Americans at July 4th celebrations warned of lone wolf terrorist threat
Local and federal authorities across the country are likely preparing for potential threats during Fourth of July celebrations next weekend amid tensions between the United States and the Middle East, according to a former U.S. Secret Service agent.Tensions escalated on June 22, when the U.S. Military bombed three key nuclear sites in Iran, according to Trump administration officials."Due to the Iran conflict, the Department of Homeland Security has a National Threat Advisory System, and as of June 22, we are at a heightened threat environment," Michael Verden, founder and CEO of security firm The Lake Forest Group, told Fox News Digital. "That level will stay in place until September 22, and it could be extended based on the conflict in Iran."Verden, a former USSS agent and law enforcement officer, added that certain 4th of July activities and travel will see increased security and precautionary measures "because of this heightened threat environment."IRAN MAY ATTEMPT FACE-SAVING RETALIATION AGAINST US FOR STRIKES, EXPERT SAYSDHS said in a June 22 bulletin that "Iran also has a long-standing commitment to target US Government officials it views as responsible for the death of an Iranian military commander killed in January 2020.""The likelihood of violent extremists in the Homeland independently mobilizing to violence in response to the conflict would likely increase if Iranian leadership issued a religious ruling calling for retaliatory violence against targets in the Homeland," DHS said. "Multiple recent Homeland terrorist attacks have been motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel sentiment, and the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could contribute to US-based individuals plotting additional attacks."COLLEGE CAMPUSES COULD BE GROUND ZERO FOR IRANIAN SLEEPER CELLS PLOTTING TO HARM AMERICANS, EXPERTS WARNVerden recalled a mass shooting that took place on the Fourth of July in Highland Park, Illinois, in 2022 that left seven people killed, including an 8-year-old boy. While the shooter's motive has not been described as an act of terrorism, Verden said that shooting three years ago brought more attention to the possibility of bad actors targeting "open-air events."In more urban settings, bad actors could also target subterranean spaces, such as subways or threats "from the water," he said.PREPARED, NOT PARANOID: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM A POSSIBLE TERROR ATTACKPublic and private events will need to coordinate with local law enforcement for the holiday, according to Verden.Federal intelligence officials, meanwhile, will try to proactively identify and stop any emerging threats "associated with the homeland, and a 4th of July event is definitely associated with the homeland," Verden said. The former USSS agent also said law enforcement will put a heavy emphasis on "access control," which includes everything from verifying credentials at admission for an event, checking bags, checking parked vehicles for explosives, looking out for suspicious activity and so on.AMERICAN TRAVELERS SHOULD KNOW ESCAPE ROUTES AT TRANSIT HUBS AFTER IRAN STRIKES, SECURITY EXPERT WARNS"If there was some type of suspicious activity, do you have tactical units to respond to a group of people that seems suspicious, or other assets such as explosives? They call it explosives ordinance disposal, which is EOD. So, if someone found a backpack that was unattended, do you have canine assets, or do you have EOD teams to respond to that?" Verden explained.STATE DEPARTMENT ISSUES WORLDWIDE CAUTION FOR US TRAVELERS FOLLOWING TRUMP'S IRAN STRIKESLaw enforcement will also be looking to cover high vantage points. Verden noted that the Highland Park shooter and the gunman who shot at then-candidate Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year were both positioned on rooftops.Verden said Fourth of July event attendees should familiarize themselves with venue layouts, and read website descriptions of events before attending. Revelers should also have a plan in the event of an emergency situation, such as coming up with a meeting location, especially if cell services crashes and there is no way to get in contact with loved ones.RUBIO DECLARES IRAN'S DAYS OF PLAYING THE WORLD OVER AFTER TRUMP'S DECISIVE STRIKELaw enforcement officials should take a "three-step approach" in the event of an emergency, according to Verden. First, assess the event space and come up with a security plan; have a pre-determined incident commander in the case of an emergency; and adequately train first-responders and other officials prior to an event.ISRAEL-IRAN CONFLICT: LIVE UPDATES"There's always a little bit of a heightened risk level when it comes to these patriotic [events]. This is when the Declaration of Independence was ratified on this date. So, there's always that concern of our adversaries. This would be an opportune time for them to do some type of an attack," he said.A recent assessment released last week by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) found that Israels Operation Rising Lion, followed by U.S. bunker-busting strikes, "effectively destroyed Irans centrifuge enrichment program." But authors David Albright and Spencer Faragasso cautioned that "residuals such as stocks of 60%, 20%, and 3-5% enriched uranium and centrifuges manufactured but not yet installed ... pose a threat as they can be used in the future to produce weapon-grade uranium."According to the ISIS report, "extensive damage" was confirmed at nearly all major Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, including the destruction of uranium metal conversion plants, fuel fabrication centers, and the IR-40 Arak heavy water reactor. The report noted that the Israeli and U.S. strikes "rendered the Fordow site inoperable," citing high-resolution satellite imagery of deep bunker penetrations. The bunker strikes have prompted conversations about Iranian retaliation against the United States.
