California judge who blocked Trump National Guard order hit with impeachment resolution
FIRST ON FOX: A Republican lawmaker is filing impeachment articles against a judge who temporarily blocked President Donald Trumps control of the National Guard in California during this months riots in Los Angeles.Rep. Randy Fine, R-La., is filing a resolution to remove U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer from the bench on Friday. He told Fox News Digital that he felt the judges decision was "political.""The goal is to get judges to do their jobs. If were not going to try to hold accountable the ones that arent, then they have no incentive to stop," Fine said.JD VANCE RAILS AGAINST NEWSOM, LA MAYOR FOR DECLARING 'OPEN SEASON ON FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT'It comes as Republicans continue to push back on Democratic officials trying to block Trumps crackdown on illegal immigration throughout the country. The days-long riots in Los Angeles were spurred by ICE raids in Hispanic and Latino neighborhoods, leading to activists clashing with law enforcement and burning cars as a sign of resistance.Trump, accusing Californias progressive officials of not doing enough to stop the situation, bypassed Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom to order the National Guard into Los Angeles to restore order.Critics of the move said it needlessly escalated an already tense situation, and accused Trump and his allies of exaggerating the violence.Breyer issued a temporary order blocking Trumps deployment of federal troops earlier this month, however, in response to a lawsuit brought by California."At this early stage of the proceedings, the Court must determine whether the President followed the congressionally mandated procedure for his actions. He did not," the court opinion said."His actions were illegalboth exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith."Breyers ruling was quashed last week when a three-judge panel on the San Francisco-based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that it was within Trumps authority to federalize the California National Guard.Breyer is just the latest judge to be brought under House GOP scrutiny after several Trump executive actions got held up in court.TRUMP SCORES MAJOR WIN AGAINST NEWSOM IN BATTLE FOR NATIONAL GUARD CONTROLTrump allies have called for the impeachment of multiple judges, though House GOP leadership has made clear theres little appetite to follow through on such moves particularly when removal by the Senate is unlikely.Fine acknowledged the long odds but insisted the resolution was a potent messaging tool."I think its worth doing. I dont know that we can pass it, I dont know that the Senate would remove him from office, but I think failing to avail ourselves of the remedies that the framers intended was a mistake," Fine said.

Iranian foreign minister reiterates 'serious damage' to nuclear facilities, despite ayatollah's comments
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi admitted in an interview on state TV that the U.S.'s strikes caused serious damage to Tehran's nuclear facilities, despite Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's insistence that there was minimal impact.Araghchi said in the interview that "the level of damage is high, and its serious damage," according to the Associated Press.Post-strike assessments have shown that Irans nuclear sites suffered damage in both U.S. and Israeli attacks. All three countries Iran, Israel and the U.S. have reached similar conclusions about the extent of the damage, despite what a leaked intel report indicated.IRAN, ISRAEL AND US AGREE THAT ISLAMIC REPUBLIC NUCLEAR SITES WERE 'BADLY DAMAGED' DESPITE LEAKED INTEL REPORTThe only leader who seemingly does not agree with the assessments is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who said that "the Americans failed to achieve anything significant in their attack on nuclear facilities," according to reports.Khamenei appears to be more focused on projecting strength than reflecting reality. He described Irans attack on Al-Udeid, the American airbase in Qatar, as a "heavy slap to the U.S.s face." While President Donald Trump dismissed it as a "very weak response" and thanked Iran for giving the U.S. "early notice."International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said in a statement on Tuesday that the agency had "seen extensive damage at several nuclear sites in Iran, including its uranium conversion and enrichment facilities."IRAN TRYING TO 'SAVE FACE' FOLLOWING US STRIKE ON NUCLEAR SITES, EXPERT SAYSIn addition to discussing the damage done to Iran's nuclear sites, Araghchi also addressed the possibility of resuming talks with the U.S. He said that the American strikes "made it more complicated and more difficult" for Iran to come to the table, but did not rule out the possibility that negotiations could resume.Nuclear talks with the U.S. might not be entirely off the table for Iran after last weeks strikeseven if Tehran is not interested in reentering negotiations right away. The possibility of negotiations was already in question prior to Operation Midnight Hammer, as Tehran viewed the U.S. as being "complicit" in Israels Operation Rising Lion, according to Reuters, citing Iranian U.N. Ambassador Ali Bahreini.EX-SECRETARY OF STATE CONDOLEEZZA RICE CALLS US STRIKES ON IRAN A 'SHOT IN THE ARM' FOR AMERICAN CREDIBILITYTrump on Wednesday expressed optimism in the U.S.s ability to resume nuclear talks with Iran."Were going to talk to them next week, with Iran. We may sign an agreement, I dont know. To me, I dont think its that necessary. I mean, they had a war. They fought. Now they're going back to their world. I don't care if I have an agreement or not. The only thing we would be asking for is what we're asking for before about, we want no nuclear [program]. But we destroyed the nuclear," Trump said.Despite Trumps statement, there is still no clear indication that the countries have plans to meet in the near future. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Targeted by Trump, Republican Rep. Thomas Massie hauls in campaign cash
Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., announced on Thursday that his campaign has hauled in $177,394 in recent days."Will lobbyists for a FOREIGN country be able to buy a seat in Congress? Thats the question in my re-election. 1,900 of you donated $177,394 this week to make sure I can hold this office to represent American interests, not foreign interests," the congressman noted in a Thursday post on his campaign X account. The flood of financial support for the fiscal hawk came after President Donald Trump repeatedly targeted the lawmaker on Truth Social."The biggest impact of Trump getting involved on the other side of a race is usually diminished fund raising. In my case, were seeing the opposite effect," Massie told Fox News Digital in a statement on Thursday."Most of the people donating to me also support Trump, but they strongly believe Congressmen should be able to vote to represent their districts instead of being a rubber stamp for the President or beholden to foreign interest groups like AIPAC," he added, referring to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.TRUMP CAMPAIGN UNLEASHES PAC TO OUST GOP CONGRESSMAN WHO QUESTIONED AUTHORITY TO STRIKE IRANThe pro-Israel group returned fire in a statement to Fox News Digital on Thursday."Rep. Massie is so desperate to change the story from how he is an outspoken opponent of President Trump, that he isresorting to outrageously questioning the patriotism of millions of American citizens who are AIPAC members, including U.S. Veterans and more than 10,000 of his own constituents,' AIPAC's Marshall Wittmann asserted. "While the overwhelming majority of Americans support a strong U.S.-Israel relationship, Rep. Massie regularly votes with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders to undermine our partnership with Israel."Massie fired back, writing to Fox News Digital, "The AIPAC agenda includes endless foreign aid and US involvement in wars in the Middle-East, which contradicts the America first policies I support on behalf of Kentuckians. Thats why they spent $400,000 against me last election cycle, and why they threaten to spend more this cycle."Massie, who was one of the two Republicans to vote against passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in the House last month, labeled Trump's strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran as "not Constitutional" in a post on X last week.TRUMP PRESSURES CONGRESS TO PASS BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL, INSISTING NO ONE GOES ON VACATION UNTIL ITS DONE'The president excoriated Massie in a lengthy Truth Social post on Sunday, calling the congressman a "pathetic LOSER.""The good news is that we will have a wonderful American Patriot running against him in the Republican Primary, and Ill be out in Kentucky campaigning really hard," Trump declared. The president re-posted his anti-Massie tirade on Monday and commented, "GET THIS BUM OUT OF OFFICE, ASAP!!!"MASSIE REVEALS HOW MUCH CAMPAIGN CASH HE'S HAULED IN SINCE TRUMP TARGETED HIM FOR OUSTER: FUNDRAISING RECORDThen on Tuesday, the president once again targeted Massie, claiming in a Truth Social post that the congressman is "very bad for the Constitution."Massie pointed to Trump's 2022 statement endorsing him. "For those who want to know what @realDonaldTrump really thinks of me, this should clear things up" the lawmaker wrote in a Tuesday post on X.

Nearly 200 House Dems reject resolution condemning violent anti-ICE riots in LA
Nearly 200 House Democrats voted against a resolution condemning the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles earlier this month. The resolution was led by Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif., and the rest of the Golden States Republican congressional delegation."Peaceful protests are a constitutional right, but vandalism, looting, violence, and other crimes are not.Protecting public safety shouldnt be controversial, which is why I am leading the California Republican delegation in a resolution to support law and order as we continue to see unrest,"Kim stated when introducing the resolution."I hope Governor Newsom can come together with President Trump to stop the riots, lower the temperature, and keep our communities safe," she added.'SOCIAL CHAOS': GOP, DEM LAWMAKERS SOUND OFF ON LOS ANGELES UNREST"Lets be clear: the riots escalated before the National Guard was sent in and were enabled by Californias soft-on-crime policies peddled for years by Governor Newsom, Sacramento, and local prosecutors that have allowed for lawlessness and endangered public safety of hardworking Californians," Kim continued. It was introduced on June 17, and it acknowledges that peaceful protests should be welcomed in the United States, but calls out the criminal elements that unfolded in the area earlier this month."These protests quickly escalated into violent riots across Los Angeles, where acts of arson, widespread looting, property destruction, and vandalism were committed, blocking streets and highways, lighting streets on fire, throwing rocks at law enforcement vehicles, and assaulting Federal and local peace officers," the resolution states.CONGRESS STEPS IN AMID 'OUT-OF-CONTROL' LOS ANGELES RIOTS AS DEMOCRATS RESIST FEDERAL HELPEarlier this month, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman said that the protest was an excuse for bad actors to commit crimes, such as stealing from businesses, committing property damage and assaulting law enforcement."This group wanted tocommit crimes," Hochman said at the time. "They looked at the protest as a cover, an opportunity to go ahead and ply their illegal trade and commit a whole variety of crimes that, in many ways, has done a huge disservice to the legitimate protesters out there."CLICK HERE FOR MORE IMMIGRATION COVERAGESome Democrats criticized the resolution, as a legal battle ensured whether President Donald Trump was able to send in the National Guard as the civil unrest went on. Many Republicans have argued it was necessary, while many California Democratic Leaders like Gov. Gavin Newsom said troop deployment was an instigator.CALIFORNIA LT. GOVERNOR SAYS LOS ANGELES RIOTS ARE 'GENERATED BY DONALD TRUMP'"This resolution ignores those facts to score political points," Rep. Nanette Daz Barragn, D-Calif., said on the House floor in opposition to the resolution, saying troop deployment "only escalated tensions and further unrest" while adding that Democrats have called for prosecutions of those who have acted violently."Your daily reminder that Trump still has 4,946 troops sitting around LA doing nothing. Meanwhile, he has weakened our border safety operations -- slashing the National Guard's fentanyl and drug interdiction force by 32 PERCENT. He is actively endangering our communities by keeping these troops in LA," Newsom posted to X on June 25.Meanwhile, debate ensues about the ICE operations and deportation efforts nationwide, as ICE agents face a 500% increase in assaults, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Top moments from the Trump-Biden debate that changed the course of the 2024 election
Former President Joe Biden's disastrous presidential debate with now-President Donald Trump one year ago Friday changed the course of the 2024 election. The octogenarian Delawarean appeared on-stage tired and with a raspy voice, while some of his responses were at times unintelligible, leading to Trump landing several wisecracks in response. While giving a response about wealthy Americans paying sufficient taxes, Biden said there are at least 1,000 billionaires first muttering "1,000 trillionaires" in the U.S. and that they purportedly pay only 8.2% in taxes."If they just paid 24%; 25%, either one of those numbers, they'd raise $500 million billion I should say in a 10-year period. We'd be able to wipe out the debt," and "all those things we need to do [with] child care, elder care."ONE YEAR LATER: HOW JOE BIDEN'S DISASTROUS DEBATE PERFORMANCE FORCED HIS MEDIA ALLIES TO TURN ON HIMHis response went on for several more seconds, transitioning into a sidewinder about making every person eligible for "what I've been able to do with COVID," before mumbling for several seconds and declaring, "We finally beat Medicare."When moderator Jake Tapper turned to Trump for a response, he said:"Well, he's right, he did beat Medicare, he beat it to death."STATE DEMOCRATIC OFFICIALS RALLY BEHIND BIDEN AS A DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR SUGGESTS REPUBLICANS PULL TRUMPBiden also claimed to have reduced illegal immigration at the southern border by 40% over the course of his term."It's better than when [Trump] left office. And I'm going to continue to move until we get the total ban on the total initiative relative to what we can do with more Border Patrol and more asylum officers," Biden said."I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said either," Trump replied.OLBERMANN LEADS LEFT-WING MELTDOWN AGAINST CNN, CALLING TO BURN IT DOWN AFTER BIDEN'S PERFORMANCETrump also sharply criticized Biden for "destroy[ing] our country," and that he came out with a "nothing" border plan to score a few political points. The current president also labeled Biden "a Palestinian" a title he also bestowed on Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who is Jewish in relation to how they have responded to the Israel-Gaza conflict, after Biden accused him of disrespecting the military.Biden said his late son, former Delaware Attorney General Joseph Beau Biden III, contracted glioblastoma from being stationed near burn pits in Iraq. He went on to accuse Trump of the widely-debunked "suckers and losers" line about World War I casualties buried in a French cemetery."My son was not a loser, he was not a sucker you're the sucker, you're the loser," Biden fumed, speaking sternly through gritted teeth.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"First of all, that was a made-up quote suckers and losers they made it up; it was in a third-rate magazine," Trump replied. The Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg cited multiple anonymous sources in publishing the bombshell allegations in September 2020.Fox News Digital's Kiera McDonald and Paul Steinhauser contributed to this report.

Cardinals' Trey McBride reflects on earning respect of NFL's elite at Tight End University: 'Huge honor'
Looking around the Vanderbilt meeting room at Tight End University on Tuesday, Trey McBride was one of the younger players in the group of 80 tight ends. But with just three years of service for the Arizona Cardinals since being drafted in the second round out of Colorado State, McBride's impact on his team and the tight end position has been profound. This offseason, the Cardinals paid him for his contributions, inking a four-year, $76 million extension that made him the highest-paid player at his position in the entire league.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMGeorge Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers star who co-founded TEU alongside Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen, would soon break that number with his own $76.4 million extension. But McBride has quickly earned the right to be in the elite-tight-end conversation throughout the league.Kittle would agree, as he used several McBride highlights during his meeting time with the tight ends who attended the fifth annual work summit in Nashville to explain the gold standard of playing the position.EX-NFL STAR GREG OLSEN HIGHLIGHTS TIGHT END UNIVERSITY'S FAMILY BONDING AFTER TAYLOR SWIFT MAKES APPEARANCE"I think its crazy just to be in the same conversation and get recognized by some of these guys that Ive been growing up watching and modeling my game after as well," McBride told Fox News Digital on Wednesday before the TEU golf outing at Hermitage Golf Course. "Its so surreal to get the respect and get that praise from those guys. Its a huge honor."McBride was actually on a golf course when he found out his extension was agreed upon, and though it was short-lived atop the tight-end salaries throne, he couldn't be happier with the respect the position is getting on the market now. In fact, he wants to see his peers continue to strive for those bigger contracts."Ultimately, were trying to elevate the tight end position, grow it as much as possible," he said. "Im glad George got more, and I hope someone jumps George and everyone can just keep making more and more money. So, its a huge position that will continue to grow, and Im glad Im able to elevate the bar a little bit."McBride wouldn't be in the position he is now if it weren't for building a connection with quarterback Kyler Murray, who clearly views him as his safety blanket in the Cardinals' offense.Last season, McBride built on his second year by hauling in 111 of his 147 targets from Murray for 1,146 yards with two touchdowns over 16 games. And some of those catches were in double, or even triple, coverage."Its a huge honor just to prove to him that I can go and make plays for him, try to make as many plays as I can for him," McBride said. "Most of all, just want to have that trust with him to throw me the ball whether theres one, two, three, four guys on me. Hes going to give me a chance to go win."Thats a huge relief for me and him as well, so love playing with him and excited to have that connection grow and continue to get better with Kyler."So, while he's still one of the younger players at TEU, McBride is an example of how to have success at the tight end position, and the financial side of his career already speaks for itself.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
