MIKE POMPEO: Trump's Iran strikes show world what 'America First' foreign policy looks like
The world changed for the better on Saturday night thanks to Americas devastating strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities a mission so effective that it impelled Iran to sue for peace with Israel within two days. Americans owe a debt of gratitude to the brave servicemen who carried out this operation, and to President Donald Trump for taking this momentous and necessary decision. For the past 46 years, America may not have been at war with Iran -- but Iran was certainly at war with America. From assassination plots on American leaders to the proxy forces killing American soldiers in Iraq, Tehran is responsible for the deaths of well over a thousand Americans. The destruction of the Great Satan (America) and the Little Satan (Israel) is embedded in the DNA of this regime, which remains the worlds leading state sponsor of terrorism. Allowing this evil dictatorship to acquire a nuclear weapon would have been a grave dereliction of duty.President Trump has been clear that he would not permit the Islamic Republic to acquire nuclear weapons. Yet presidents often make such promises and fail to deliver think of President Obamas "red line" in Syria, or President Joe Bidens toothless warnings to Russia prior to the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.TRUMP ANNOUNCES HISTORIC IRAN AND ISRAEL CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT TO END '12 DAY WAR'By following through on his vow, President Trump communicated to Iran and to the world that America means business. President Trump gave the Iranian regime every opportunity to negotiate, but would not fall for the regimes tactic of spinning out talks in perpetuity while racing toward nuclear breakout. These strikes embodied the "America First" vision of foreign policy that we pursued during my time as Secretary of State in the first Trump administration. We threw out the Obama administrations disastrous Iran deal and shifted our policy from appeasement to maximum pressure imposing real costs for Irans bad behavior. When Iranian proxies killed American servicemen, we retaliated by taking out Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani.Standing up to the regime checked their ability to project power in the region, and enabled us to forge the historic Abraham Accords between Israel and several Muslim countries. And while they cant yet say it publicly, I have no doubt that our Gulf Arab allies are thanking us today.TRUMP ADDRESSES NATION ON 'SPECTACULAR MILITARY SUCCESS' OF US STRIKES ON IRANIAN NUCLEAR FACILITIESIrans authoritarian allies in Beijing and Moscow should take note. The fact that neither Xi Jinping nor Vladimir Putin came to Irans aid tells us everything we need to know about the strength of that allegedly enduring security and diplomatic partnership.Russia and China stand to lose significantly from a weakened Iran: Irans ability to provide military hardware to Russia for its war on Ukraine is now compromised, and a key source of pressure on U.S. interests in the region is on the back foot.Of course, none of these achievements are without risk, as we saw with Mondays attacks on U.S. military personnel in the Middle East, which were thankfully intercepted. Iran is not known for keeping its word, and has a long history of using terrorist cells and proxy forces to work their will, and America and our allies must be alert to this danger. However, President Trump has made it perfectly clear that the days of Iran holding a sword above our heads are over, and the United States will unleash hell if any American is harmed in the coming days.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONIts also important to note that there is still work to be done to make sure that Irans nuclear program is fully dismantled. The American and Israeli intelligence services will need to figure out what materials the regime was able to disperse in advance of these strikes. But there can be no doubt that their capabilities have been enormously diminished and that is thanks to the United States and Israel. The critics on the left and right who warned we were embarking on a "forever war" once again missed the mark completely. What President Donald Trump initiated was a limited mission to end the forever war that the Iranian regime has been waging against the American people and our allies for decades. And while military action is always a calculated risk, inaction given the condition of the Iranian nuclear program posed a far greater threat to American security. If there was ever a time to act to end the unacceptable threat of a nuclear Iran, it was now.The end of this story is not yet written, but one thing is certain: Saturday night's strikes were a triumph of decisive leadership that will go a long way toward making President Reagans dictum of "peace through strength" a reality.Americas enemies must know that we want peace, but are fully prepared to take decisive military action should the situation require it. Weve now made that plain and America is safer today as a result.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM MIKE POMPEO

Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton gets candid on devastating injury: 'The frustration is unfathomable'
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton made a candid social media post reflecting on the teams NBA Finals loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder and the torn Achilles he suffered in Game 7.Haliburton made a late-night post on X with a lengthy statement and a photo of himself in a hospital bed. It came more than 24 hours after he was seen writhing in pain on the floor at the Paycom Center.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"Man. Dont know how to explain it other than shock. Words cannot express the pain of this letdown. The frustration is unfathomable. Ive worked my whole life to get to this moment and this is how it ends? Makes no sense," he wrote."Now that Ive gotten surgery, I wish I could count the number of times people will tell me Im going to come back stronger. What a cliche lol, this s--- sucks. My foot feels like dead weight fam. But whats hurting most I think is my mind. Feel like Im rambling, but I know this is something Ill look back on when Im through this, as something Im proud I fought through. It feels good to let this s--- out without yall seeing the kid ugly cry."At 25, Ive already learned that God never gives us more than we can handle. I know Ill come out on the other side of this a better man and a better player. And honestly, right now, torn Achilles and all, I dont regret it. Id do it again, and again after that, to fight for this city and my brothers. For the chance to do something special."THREE ACHILLES INJURIES IN ONE NBA POSTSEASON: WHATS GOING ON AND HOW IS IT FIXED?Haliburton apologized to the city of Indianapolis for letting fans down, though he did nothing of the sort.He delivered one of the most epic playoff performances in recent memory as he broke the hearts of fans in Milwaukee, Cleveland and New York on his way to the NBA Finals. He nearly did it in Oklahoma City if it was not for a calf strain that hampered him as well as the torn Achilles."Indy, Im sorry. If any fan base doesnt deserve this, its yall. But together we are going to fight like hell to get back to this very spot, and get over this hurdle," he added. "I dont doubt for a second that yall have my back, and I hope you guys know that I have yours. I think Kobe said it best when in this same situation. There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever." And thats exactly right. I will do everything in my power to get back right."My journey to get to where I am today wasnt by happenstance, Ive pushed myself every day to be great. And I will continue to do just that. The most important part of this all, is that Im grateful. Im grateful for every single experience thats led me here. Im grateful for all the love from the hoop world. I dont have to go through this, I get to go through this. Im grateful for the road that lies ahead. Watch how I come back from this. So, give me some time, Ill dust myself off and get right back to being the best version of Tyrese Haliburton."Haliburton is reportedly likely to miss the 2025-26 season as well.He averaged 18.6 points and 9.2 assists per game for the Pacers in 2024-25.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Martin Kove was forced to leave a fan convention early over the weekend after he allegedly bit one of his co-stars.According to Variety, the 78-year-old "Cobra Kai" star was asked to leave Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, on Sunday after his co-star in the Netflix series, actress Alicia Hannah-Kim, accused him of grabbing her arm and biting her.According to a report from the Puyallup Police Department, Hannah-Kim, 37, approached an officer in the VIP area after Kove took her arm and bit her "so hard he nearly drew blood," per Variety. He reportedly let go and began kissing her arm where he had bitten her after she cried out in pain. According to the report, Kove then claimed he and Hannah-Kim "play fight all the time on the set of Cobra Kai'" and that he was just trying to be "funny."Per the report, the actress told the reporting officer she did not want to file charges against Kove, but that she "wished to have a report filed in case this continues." Kove was then asked to leave the fan event.Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for both Kove and Hannah-Kim for comment.Kove is best known for his portrayal of John Kreese in the 1984 movie, "The Karate Kid." Iran-Israel ceasefire teeters as IDF accuses Tehran of violations
Iran appeared to ignore President Donald Trumps plea to adhere to the ceasefire he brokered between the Islamic Republic and Israel. On Tuesday, Israel vowed to respond to the alleged violation, with Defense Minister Israel Katz announcing that he ordered the military to strike Tehran. Additionally, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir vowed the country would "respond with force."Irans military denied violating the ceasefire, according to reports. However, the IDF said on Tuesday that air raid sirens were sounding across the country.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office released a statement confirming that in response to Iran's apparent violation, the Israeli Air Force destroyed a radar array near Tehran.TRUMP BROKERS IRAN CEASEFIRE AS EXPERTS SAY REGIMES ARSENAL IS SHATTERED BUT THREAT REMAINSA senior Israeli official spoke with Fox News about Irans alleged violation of the ceasefire, saying that the country believes Tehran will attempt to fire more missiles within a matter of hours."Unfortunately, the Iranians have decided to continue to fire toward Israel," a senior Israeli official told Fox News. "Two missiles were fired toward Israel, and we believe they are trying to fire more in the next couple of hours."Before the ceasefire went into effect, both countries got in parting shots, as Israel carried out a series of airstrikes and Iran launched missile barrages that killed at least four people, according to the Associated Press.TRUMP HAILS MONUMENTAL' DAMAGE AS EXPERTS AWAIT VERDICT ON IRANS NUCLEAR PROGRAMTrump expressed his frustration with the end of the ceasefire, calling on both countries to end the conflict. He posted on social media calling on Israel not to strike, which he said would constitute "a major violation" of the ceasefire. Trump demanded that the Jewish state bring its pilots back home. The president also spoke about his disappointment with Israels response when answering questions from reporters outside the White House before heading to a NATO summit in the Netherlands."Ive got to get Israel to calm down now," Trump told reporters on Tuesday. "I dont like the fact that Israel went out this morning and at all and Im gonna see if I can stop it."He later added that he did not believe the two countries were fighting because its all they have known for "so long.""We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f--- they're doing," Trump said.Shortly after speaking to reporters, Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social that Israel would not attack Iran and that the ceasefire was in effect."ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly plane wave to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the ceasefire is in effect!" He later posted a follow-up saying that Iran would "never rebuild [its] nuclear facilities."Netanyahu's office later confirmed that the two leaders spoke and that following the conversation "Israel refrained from further strikes." The prime minister's office also noted that Trump "expressed his deep appreciation for Israel which achieved all the objectives of the war. He also expressed his confidence in the stability of the ceasefire."

Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize over Iran-Israel ceasefire deal
FIRST ON FOX: A House lawmaker is nominating President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after he brokered a ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran.Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., wrote to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, declaring Trump had an "extraordinary and historic role" in having ended "the armed conflict between Israel and Iran and preventing the worlds largest state sponsor of terrorism from obtaining the most lethal weapon on the planet."Trump declared the "12 Day War" was ending late on Monday afternoon with a ceasefire that was meant to go into effect overnight Tuesday. It ends just over a week after Israel first launched a preemptive strike against Iran, arguing Tehran was dangerously close to obtaining a nuclear weapon.A FULL BREAKDOWN OF OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMER, THE LARGEST B-2 OPERATIONAL STRIKE IN US HISTORYThe two countries subsequently traded rocket fire over the following days, and over the weekend, the U.S. launched its own airstrikes on three of Iran's key nuclear facilities.Iran responded by shooting rockets at a U.S. air base in Qatar on Monday, but not without giving advance notice to U.S. and Qatari officials. No injuries were reported in that attack."President Trump's influence was instrumental in forging a swift agreement that many believed to be impossible. President Trump also took bold, decisive actions to halt Irans nuclear ambitions and ensure that the worlds largest state sponsor of terrorism remains incapable of acquiring a nuclear weapon," Carter wrote in his letter. He said Trump's leadership through the crisis "exemplifies the very ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize seeks to recognize: the pursuit of peace, the prevention of war, and the advancement of international harmony. In a region plagued by historical animosity and political volatility, such a breakthrough demands both courage and clarity."WHY DID TRUMP LEAVE G7 EARLY? 'MUCH BIGGER' THAN IRAN CEASE-FIRE, HE SAYS"President Trump demonstrated both, offering the world a rare glimpse of hope. For these reasons, I respectfully submit this nomination for Donald J. Trump, 47th President of the United States, to be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize," Carter finished. It is not the first time Trump has been nominated for the prize, though he has yet to win.Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., tapped Trump for the prize just earlier this year, arguing his 2024 electoral victory had an "astonishingly effective impact" on peace in the world.According to the Nobel Prize website, there have been 338 candidates nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize so far.Carter, who is also running for Senate in Georgia, has introduced several notable bills this year backing Trump, though many have been seen as largely symbolic. The Georgia Republican introduced legislation to rename Greenland "Red, White, and Blueland" after Trump expressed interest in taking the territory. He also authored a bill aimed at letting Trump sell off a federal building in California named after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.However, as for the conflict in the Middle East, it appears the tenuous peace is in danger of fraying as of Tuesday morning.Carter's nomination for Trump comes shortly after Israel accused Iran of breaking their ceasefire agreement, which Tehran has denied.

Lindsey Graham hails 'decisive' Operation Midnight Hammer, says Trump showed there's a 'new sheriff in town'
President Donald Trump reversed the damage from former President Joe Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal in just a few hours, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham told Fox News late Monday, shortly after the president announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran."By destroying Iran's nuclear facilities, by using B-2 bombers, helping Israel, but delivering a decisive blow, which was bold and brilliant, President Trump let every other adversary in the world know Joe Biden doesn't live in the White House anymore. There's a new sheriff in town," Graham said during an appearance on "Hannity.""He's been strong, he's been measured He wants peace, but it takes two people to have peace"TRUMP SAYS ISRAEL AND IRAN 'HAVE TO FIGHT IT OUT' BUT BELIEVES DEAL IS POSSIBLEThe Palmetto State Republican suggested such an agreement could yield one of two outcomes being a "major league accomplishment" if genuine and leading to peace, but bearing the risk of backsliding into chaos if Iran uses the time to rearm and regroup. To determine the difference, Graham challenged Iran's foreign minister to publicly announce that the Iranian regime no longer wishes to destroy the state of Israel, has abandoned its policy of "killing all the Jews" and recognizes Israel as a "legitimate sovereign nation entitled to live in the region in peace.""If they will say that, that is a giant leap forward and may lead to peace through a ceasefire. If they can't say that... that probably tells you all you need to know," he added.Trump announced the agreement between the sparring Middle Eastern nations on Monday, claiming the "12-day war" would end following a phased implementation over 24 hours.REPUBLICANS CONGRATULATE TRUMP AMID IRAN CEASEFIRE AS DEMS HOLD BACK APPLAUSEA senior Iranian official also confirmed the ceasefire deal, according to Reuters.A diplomat briefed on the ceasefire talks shared more details on the deal with Fox News."President Trump spoke with Qatars emir and informed him the U.S. got Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Iran," the source shared. "The president asked Qatar to help persuade Iran to do the same, following that Vice President Vance coordinated with Qatars prime minister on the details."The source added that "this effort proved successful and, following discussions with the Qatari PM, the Iranians agreed."Israel claimed Iran violated the agreement early Tuesday when at least one Iranian missile was reportedly intercepted after the ceasefire went into effect.Iran denies that its government has violated the agreement, however.Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz said he ordered the military to "respond forcefully" to Iran's alleged violation with "high-intensity strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran."Victoria Coates, former deputy national security advisor to Trump, told "Fox & Friends First" on Tuesday that she believes the ceasefire is "recoverable" despite the accusations.Fox News' Stepheny Price and Trey Yingst contributed to this report.
