• 5 Ai Powered Swarm Robots Team Up To Build Cars Faster Than Ever
We have to act now to keep AI from becoming a far-left Trojan Horse
    www.foxnews.com
The hottest topic nowadays revolves around Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to rapidly and imminently transform the world we live in economically, socially, politically and even defensively. Regardless of whether you believe that the technology will be able to develop superintelligence and lead a metamorphosis of everything, the possibility that may come to fruition is a catalyst for more far-leftist control. The likeliest starting point will be more calls for Universal Basic Income (UBI), a program by which the government guarantees every American some form of ongoing payment (such as a monthly stipend). Despite direct and indirect pilots of UBI being a failure, a potential "crisis" will render that fact moot. Using the prospect of AI software and hardware (aka robots) taking large swaths of American jobs, politicians wont focus on retraining, they will go for the easy popular fix of promising something for "free." And something politicians can offer at someone elses expense while creating more dependence on the government is a far-leftist dream.AI ROBOTS HELP NURSES BEAT BURNOUT AND TRANSFORM HOSPITAL CAREUnfortunately, that dream is an economic nightmare for the rest of us. The government doesnt produce anything productive, and any money that it has is either taken from us via taxes or "printed" which devalues our purchasing power. With an existing massive debt and deficit problem that has created a weak fiscal foundation, the government is in no position to create new entitlement programs. Further, taking money from workers, laundering it through the government and redistributing it to those who are not working is not a productive use of capital. Its also not good for morale or giving people a sense of purpose in their lives. With that, there will likely be a communist-leaning conversation about any AI that takes jobs and who should have ownership over that AI. If AI drives or is even perceived to possibly create in the future a deeper rift between the "haves" and the "have-nots," theres no doubt that government ownership or societal sharing of the AI will be seized upon by those who look for any reason to push socialistic or communistic ideals. AI MODELS SHOW 'FRIGHTENING' DEFIANT BEHAVIOR, EXPERTS SUGGESTThen, there is the potential for tyranny. If you thought the COVID-19 lockdowns were bad, wait until attack drones and robots create societal chaos. Its not hard to imagine a scenario where people are told to lock down or give up their freedoms until protocols are sorted out. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThis is why we should be imagining and planning for those scenarios today, and not let reactive crises lead to an erosion of our freedoms. Likewise, protecting our individual rights in the digital sphere, particularly as AI companies lobby to help shape regulation, is critical. And a final piece of the puzzle is embedded in the AI itself. A Substack, called "Contemplations on the Tree of Woe," raised a related concern, noting that just as the left captured the culture via the mainstream media and Hollywood, a similar thing is happening with AI. The piece notes, "The code is not neutral every major LLM is aligned with leftist priors. OpenAIs GPT, Anthropics Claude, Googles Gemini, every single one leans Left. Even the much-ballyhooed Grok is at best Centrist. (And, unfortunately, the center of the political compass these days isnt exactly Philadelphia 1776.)" HUMANOID ROBOT MALFUNCTIONS, SPARKS VIRAL PANICThe piece goes on to say that if a left-leaning worldview is embedded in the coding and the output, and if something isnt done to counter that, leftist ideals will be at the foundational core of everything, from education to culture to science (or repression of science). We need balance. A foundational infrastructure that is too far left or too far right can each cause myriad problems that compound and become too entrenched to resolve. Americans tend to be very reactive instead of proactive in addressing issues. But with AI, we cannot wait. If we let AI become a catalyst to move us permanently to the far left, or if the underpinnings of the AI do that inherently and foundationally, we will give up our checks, balances and freedoms for the future.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM CAROL ROTH

President of largest teachers union in US defends illegal immigrants during anti-ICE protest in LA
    www.foxnews.com
The president of the largest teachers' union said on Monday that everyone has a right to American privileges during a protest against immigration enforcement in Los Angeles while chaos descended on the city."We the people. All of us All of us have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of justice," National Education Association (NEA) president Becky Pringle shouted during a protest rally. The NEA president has always been vocal in her criticism of the Trump administration and previously disavowed President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown.Pringle in January released guidelines to help schools prepare for immigration authorities after Trump rescinded the law that prohibited Immigration and Customs Enforcement from entering sensitive areas such as schools and hospitals.RIOTERS SMASH WINDOWS AT LAPD HEADQUARTERS AS ANTI-ICE AGITATORS CLASH WITH AUTHORITIES"Tragically, for our nation, the incoming Trump administration is committed to a mass deportation agenda that will inflict irreversible harm on our students, their families and communities," Pringle said in a statement at the time.Rioters on Monday struck the windows of the Los Angeles Police Department's headquarters and faced tear gas that officials deployed downtown as agitators clashed with authorities in the city amid protests against immigration authorities. The protests began on Friday after federal agents carried out enforcement operations across the city, sparking outrage from some in the community. In response to the unrest,Trump deployed 2,000 California National Guard troops to the area, with 300 troops arriving over the weekend. The president of the American Federation of Teachers, Randi Weingarten, released a statement on Sunday blasting Trump's decision to deploy the troops, claiming he did so to "intimidate peaceful immigration protesters in Los Angeles.""This illegal, heavy-handed, and unnecessary crackdown on peaceful protesters is a trumped-up excuse to manufacture a spectacle and stoke further tensions. Instead of de-escalating, the administration seems intent on provoking and scapegoating hardworking immigrants to distract from its political woes," she said.ANTI-ICE PROTESTERS IN LOS ANGELES SPIT ON AND BURN AMERICAN FLAGFootage from over the weekend captured a circle of dozens of people, many wearing masks, surrounding an American flag burning on the ground. Several of the individuals then spit on the flag or sprayed flammable liquid to continue the blaze before a second flag was added to the fire.A number of the protesters held high the flags of Mexico and South American countries as the U.S. flag burned on the ground. They also chanted "F-Trump."Other footage from the riots showed officers with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department moving in to disperse the crowds, shooting flash bangs as they went.

Trump takes action against 'orchestrated attack' on law enforcement by deploying Marines to LA: assemblyman
    www.foxnews.com
Immigration enforcement efforts in Los Angeles served as the ignition point over the weekend, as coordinated ICE raids across the city sparked violent clashes with law enforcement, leading to the arrival of military forces. The Trump administration's crackdown culminated in the president's decisive action Monday to deploy a battalion of hundreds of U.S. Marines to respond to anti-immigration enforcement riots, Fox News has learned."Approximately 700 Marines with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division will seamlessly integrate with the Title 10 forces under Task Force 51 who are protecting federal personnel and federal property in the greater Los Angeles area," U.S. Northern Command said in a statement.Assemblyman David Tangipa, R-Calif., called the protests an "orchestrated attack."CALIFORNIA LT. GOVERNOR SAYS LOS ANGELES RIOTS ARE 'GENERATED BY DONALD TRUMP'"Law enforcement is under violent assaultpelted with bricks and weapons by rioters," he told Fox News Digital. "This isnt peaceful protest, its an orchestrated attack. Organizers arent just enabling ittheyre inciting it. Now, even the Marines are being deployed to restore order.""Violence must be condemned and stopped before more lives are put at risk."President Donald Trump described the demonstrators as "violent, insurrectionist mobs" and praised the 2,000 National Guard troops for their role in restoring order after hoards of protesters clashed with law enforcement in Los Angeles. Here is a timeline of key events surrounding the immigration enforcement actions and ensuing protests in Los Angeles:Federal immigration enforcement efforts in Los Angeles began on Friday, June 6, with coordinated ICE raids across the city targeting migrants. These operations, which resulted in more than 100 arrests, focused on known areas of unlawful employment and activity, including the Fashion District and commercial hubs.Among those arrested was 49-year-old Cuong Chanh Phan, an illegal immigrant from Vietnam with a criminal history that includes a conviction for second-degree murder. Phan was convicted of shooting up a high school graduation party after a dispute, killing an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old. Seven others were injured in the incident, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).One man has already been sent back to Mexico after being picked up at a Home Depot on Friday morning. During the demonstrations, David Huerta, president of SEIU California, a labor union, was arrested and charged with impeding a federal agent while protesting.Trump deployed California National Guard troops to Los Angeles on Saturday following the chaotic standoff between protesters and federal immigration authorities. Photos from the scene in California captured protesters blocking streets, throwing bricks at law enforcement and setting cars ablaze.California Gov. Gavin Newsom requested the administration to rescind the deployment, saying Trump is trying "to manufacture a crisis" and that the president is "hoping for chaos so he can justify more crackdowns, more fear, more control."White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized California's Democratic leadership, stating they had "completely abdicated their responsibility to protect their citizens."She declared that the Trump administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy for criminal behavior and violence, especially when directed at law enforcement officers, and that such individuals "will be arrested and swiftly brought to justice."ICE SWEEPS THROUGH LA BUSINESSES AS LOCAL DEMOCRATS CRY FOUL OVER TRUMP ADMINISTRATION'S ENFORCEMENT ACTIONSDHS released a statement on Saturday noting it took the LAPD two hours to respond to the Roybal Federal Building, despite multiple calls."Last night, over 1,000rioters surrounded a federal law enforcement buildingand assaulted ICE law enforcement officers, slashed tires, defaced buildings, and taxpayer-funded property," according to DHS. "Our ICE enforcement officers are facing a 413% increase in assaults against them. Disturbingly, in recent days, ICE officers family members have been dox[x]edand targeted as well."Newsom, meanwhile, strongly condemned President Trump's decision to deploy 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles without state consent, labeling the move as "purposefully inflammatory.""California Dont give Donald Trump what he wants," Newsom wrote in a X post. "Speak up. Stay peaceful. Stay calm. Do not use violence and respect the law enforcement officers that are trying their best to keep the peace."FEDERAL OFFICIALS SLAM DEMOCRATS FOR 'DANGEROUS' RHETORIC AS ICE AGENTS FACE VIOLENT MOBS IN LA, NYCOn Sunday, rioters gathered downtown, including near the Metropolitan Detention Center, to protest ongoing immigration enforcement and the arrival of National Guard personnel.Law enforcement agencies, including the LAPD and National Guard troops, employed crowd-control measures such as tear gas, pepper spray and rubber bullets to disperse protesters.Newsom arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday evening to oversee the response to the anti-ICE riots and meet with state emergency officials."Were here to keep the peace not play into Trumps political games," Newsom wrote.WATCH: DESTRUCTION TO LAPD HQRioters were seen targeting the LAPD headquarters on Sunday night as violent demonstrations continued. The LAPD declared an "unlawful assembly" Sunday evening as protesters failed to disperse in the downtown area."Agitators have splintered into and through out [sic] the Downtown Area," the LAPD's Central Division wrote on X. "Residents, businesses and visitors to the Downtown Area should be alert and report any criminal activity. Officers are responding to several different locations to disperse crowds."ICE OFFICIAL PUTS POLITICIANS ON BLAST, DEMANDING THEY 'STOP PUTTING MY PEOPLE IN DANGER'Other video footage from the weekend shows protesters spitting on the American flag and setting it on fire while chanting "F Trump," setting fire to vehicles and throwing objects and fireworks at police.DHS on Monday called on Californias politicians to "call off their rioting mob," asking why Newsom was supporting what the department called "foreign criminals."The post included a video that shows a masked, shirtless man holding a Mexican flag while standing on top of a vehicle covered in graffiti. A second vehicle is seen burning in the middle of a street as crowds of people gathered nearby.Newsom continued to spar with Trump over the riots erupting in Los Angeles, calling the president "unhinged" on Monday. Newsom has peppered Trump with criticisms over federalizing the National Guard in a series of posts on X."Were suing him," Newsom added.WATCH:On Monday afternoon, Fox News learned that hundreds of Marines were mobilizing in Los Angeles. They will be tasked with protecting federal property and federal personnel, according to a senior defense official, and the deployment is open-ended.The Marines will not be carrying out a law enforcement role, but it Is unclear what their use of force rules are if protesters throw things or spit at them. The Marines are from the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines at Twentynine Palms, California.Moments before the deployment, Trump expressed optimism that the situation in Los Angeles was improving."I mean, I think we have it very well under control," he told reporters. "I think it would have been a very bad situation. It was heading in the wrong direction. It's now heading in the right direction."Newsom expressed his outrage at the possibility of the presence of Marines, writing on X, "U.S. Marines have served honorably across multiple wars in defense of democracy. They are heroes. They shouldn't be deployed on American soil facing their own countrymen to fulfill the deranged fantasy of a dictatorial President. This is un-American."The California governor initially said that the information they have is that Marines are not being deployed, but moving "from one base to another base.""From our understanding, this is moving Marines from one base to another base," Newsom wrote in a statement on X. "At this time, the information we have is that Marines are not being deployed (there is a difference between that and being mobilized)," he continued."The level of escalation is completely unwarranted, uncalled for, and unprecedented mobilizing the best in class branch of the U.S. military against its own citizens," Newsom said.Fox News' Jennifer Griffin, Greg Wehner, Stepheny Price and Audrey Conklin contributed to this report.

  • Nigeria Protest Scaled
Bishop's village attacked, 20 slain after recent testimony to Congress on Christian persecution
    www.foxnews.com
FIRST ON FOX: A Nigerian bishop has been threatened and his home village murderously attacked after he appealed to lawmakers at a March congressional hearing for the killing of Christians to stop.Bishop Wilfred Anagbe told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview this week that after he went to Washington to testify, four fatal attacks in 10 days by "terrorist Jihadists" had happened in his diocese, the area he is responsible for.Nigeria is one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian, according to NGO Open Doors Internationals 2025 World Watch List (WWL).Of the 4,476 Christians killed worldwide in WWLs latest reporting period, 3,100 of those who died 69% were in Nigeria.FEARS REMAIN THIS EASTER THAT CHRISTIANS IN NIGERIA ARE BEING 'WIPED OUT' BY MUSLIM EXTREMISTSOpen Doors U.K., added in a statement,"Jihadist violence continues to escalate in Nigeria, and Christians are at particular risk from targeted attacks by Islamic militant groups, including Fulani militants, Boko Haram and ISWAP (Islamic State West Africa Province)."One leader of one of the biggest churches in Africa's most populous nation, using the pseudonym "PastorWinyadebi" because hes worried about his safety, told Fox News Digital."It has been attacks upon attacks, religious violence. And we say this because the communities that are attacked are Christian communities.""What they (Islamist militants)want is to be sure that Islam [takes] over every part of these places. And so they're doing everything to make sure that Christianity is brought down and Islam is [the] established No. 1. They want to make sure that Sharia law (strict Islamic law)has taken over Nigeria," he said.Anagbes Makurdi Diocese in north-central Nigeria is almost exclusively Christian. But the constant and escalatingattacks by Islamist Fulani militants led him to testify at a congressional hearing in March. In April, several foreign embassies in Abuja, Nigeria, warned the bishop of credible high-level official threats: that he would be detained upon arrival in Nigeria from the U.S. and that "something might happen to him."This led to Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., Anagbes congressional host andchair of the House Africa Subcommittee, to write in a statement: "I am appalled by reports that Bishop Wilfred Anagbe and Father Remigius Ihyula (who testified alongside Bishop Anagbe)are facing threatsallegedly from Nigerian government sources and affiliated organizationsbecause of the Bishops testimony before Congress detailing violence in Nigerias Benue State. They reflect a troubling pattern of retaliation linked to testimony before Congress on religious freedom abuses in Nigeria."CHRISTIANS INCREASINGLY PERSECUTED WORLDWIDE AS MODERN AND HISTORICAL FACTORS CONVERGEThe U.S. Mission in Nigeria on April 10 posted on X calling for the bishops "right to speak freely without fear of retribution or retaliation,"declaring that intimidation and threats had been made "because of their March 12 testimony."Then the attacks, larger and more frequent than before, started, with four attacks between May 23 and June 1.Anagbe told Fox News Digital that "what has been happening in my village and diocese is nothing short of terror attacks on innocent villagers in order to seize theirlands and occupy.""On the 23rd [of] May, one of my priests, Father Solomon Atongo, was shot in the leg by these terrorists and almost lost his life. On the 25th of May,my village, Aondona, was attacked for hours, leaving over 20 people dead, scores injured and thousands now displaced and living in makeshift camps," he said."On the 1st of June, terror was unleashed on Naka town, with many killed and displaced," Anagbe continued. "This attack was so intense that even those earlier displaced and taking refuge in a nearby school were not spared. All over Nigeria, these terrorists are going about on a jihad and conquering territories and renaming them accordingly.""I have been speaking about this genocide for some years now, but whereas in the past some others saw my advocacy with the political lens, today almost everyone in Nigeria has seen the truth for what it is, especially after my testimony in the U.S. Congress."The bishop ended the interview with a plea: "The world has a lot to do. First of all, the world must learn from past mistakes, the Holocaust and most recently the Rwandan genocide. In both cases, the world hid its face in the sand like an ostrich. If the world does not rise up now to put a stop to the atrocities orchestrated in the name of being politically correct, it may wake up one day to casualties that make the Rwandan genocide a childs play. Keeping quiet would be to promote the genocide or ethnic cleansing in Nigeria."While the Nigerian government did not respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment, the Catholic Herald reported that the Nigerian Foreign Ministry had contacted the U.S. regarding the bishop's testimony, noting that "any reports of threats or intimidation against religious leaders would be investigated and appropriate actions would be taken."

  • Eric Schmitt3
Sen Eric Schmitt preps for Congressional Baseball Game, hopes Trump could attend
    www.foxnews.com
The schedule of the average congressional lawmaker is usually packed with meetings, hearings, television appearances and more. However, some have June 11 circled on the calendar this year.It is the time when any bad blood between Republicans and Democrats can go from the steps of Capitol Hill to the dirt and green grass at Nationals Park the home of MLBs Washington Nationals.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe Congressional Baseball Game is an annual event that pits the Republican and Democratic members of the House of Representatives and the Senate against each other on the diamond. The game has been played since 1909, when the Democrats defeated the Republicans 26-16. It has been played each year since then aside from a handful of cancellations. The Republicans hold the series lead and are on a four-game winning streak. GOP lawmakers won last year's game, 31-11.The game is something Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., looks forward to each year. Schmitt is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and played baseball at Truman State University. Schmitt released a sizzle reel before last years game and ended up having a few big hits in the blowout win."I feel good," Schmitt told Fox News Digital ahead of the game. "Weve got a good team and our coach, Roger Williams, gets us out there in the mornings pretty early for practices. So weve been out there sort of getting your timing back, taking fly balls. But theres no substitute. The game, being in a Major League stadium with 30,000 people there, its for a great cause, has been a lot of fun."So, I enjoy it. I was joking with one of the other outfielders last year. I was like, This is what I really wanted to do with my life be in the Major League outfield for the Cardinals but I ended up in the Senate. We get to do this once a year. Its a lot of fun."Schmitt said the "most important thing" is winning the game and not breaking the scoring record which Democrats set in 1928, when they scored 36 runs in the game. One of the key aspects of the game is the charity component. Both sides of the aisle raise money for Congressional Sports for Charity, which "provides support to worthy and effective charities serving vulnerable children and families in the Washington DC area as well as scholarships to deserving local youth," according to the games website.RED SOX ROOKIE HUNTER DOBBINS SAYS HE WOULD RETIRE BEFORE SIGNING WITH YANKEES AHEAD OF RIVALRY START"These charities include the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and the Washington Nationals Philanthropies along with the United States Capitol Police Memorial Fund in gratitude to the brave officers at the Republican practice shooting on June 14, 2017," the website said."My family comes in town. Our whole office is there. So, its a blast," Schmitt said. "I think already this year theyre up to $2.8 million raised for local charities here. So, its a great cause and its a lot of fun and has become kind of a social thing for staff and others to go to the game. But for me, you get on that field, and you want to perform, and thats a lot of fun."Presidents have been known to attend the game.President Woodrow Wilson threw out the first pitch twice in the 1917 game as Clark Griffiths was unable to catch the ball. He also tossed the ball to a House rep in 1918. President Barack Obama attended the game in 2015, and President Joe Biden was there in 2021.It is unclear if President Donald Trump will show up, but Schmitt was in favor of having him there."Thatd be great. I dont know if its on his calendar or not, or my friend (Vice President) JD Vance, I think it would be great to have him there," Schmitt told Fox News Digital. "The first two years I played in the game, Biden was president. He was, you know, its a little different story there, but I would love to have President Trump there."Ive actually gotten to play golf with President Trump. He knows a lot about sports. In fact, on Trump Force One and some of the campaign stops, we would have conversations about the greatest right-handed hitter of all time. Of course, my pick was Albert Pujols. But he knows his sports, and its a lot of fun kinda talking sports with him."Schmitt joked he did show the president a few highlights from the Congressional Baseball Game. The teams for the Republicans and Democrats are set. Schmitt is one of four senators playing in the game.Sens. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., Alex Padilla, D-Calif., and Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, will compete with Schmitt.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

SEIU leader charged with 'conspiracy to impede an officer' for protesting ICE raid
    www.foxnews.com
California labor leader David Huerta, 58, was released from federal custody on Monday on a $50,000 bond after being charged with "conspiracy to impede an officer."Huerta, the president of Service Employees International Union California (SEIU) was arrested during an anti-ICE protest in Los Angeles on Friday.Huerta was photographed wearing socks and carrying shoes following his release from custody. He told reporters he did not intend to get arrested, and the only way to win change is through nonviolence."This fight is ours, it's our community's, but it belongs to everyone," Huerta said in Spanish, according to the Associated Press. "We all have to fight for them."FBI WILL INVESTIGATE 'ANY EVIDENCE OF A CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY' IN LA RIOTSHuerta was arrested while law enforcement officers were executing a federal search warrant at a Los Angeles business suspected of hiring illegal immigrants and falsifying employment papers, a special agent for Homeland Security Investigations, which is part of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, wrote in a federal court filing obtained by the AP.SEIU represents 750,000 members in 17 local unions across 58 counties, according to its website. Among the members are "nurses, healthcare workers, janitors, social workers, security officers, in-home caregivers, school and university employees, court workers, and city, county and state employees."FBI SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT WHO ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTED FEDERAL OFFICER DURING ANTI-ICE RIOTS IN LOS ANGELESWhile SEIU International President April Verrett said on Monday that the labor union is "relieved" that Huerta is free, she added his arrest only drew attention to a larger issue."Thousands of workers remain unjustly detained and separated from their families. At this very moment, immigrant communities are being terrorized by heavily militarized armed forces. The Trump regime calling in the National Guard is a dangerous escalation to target people who disagree with them. It is a threat to our democracy. The federal government should never be used as a weapon against people who disagree with them," she said in a statement."America is a nation of immigrants. Immigrant workers are essential to our society: feeding our nation, caring for our elders, cleaning our workplaces, and building our homes," Verrett added. "Immigrants are scientists, they are teachers and professors. They are our co-workers, neighbors and family members. They deserve our respect and they need their constitutional rights respected."The Associated Press contributed to this report.

ESPN star says trans women have 'unfair advantage' in sports amid Simone Biles-Riley Gaines feud
    www.foxnews.com
ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith largely agreed with Riley Gaines amid the former NCAA All-American swimmers feud with Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles.Smiths remarks on Monday came a few days after Biles launched into a personal attack on Gaines after the former Kentucky Wildcats star criticized a Minnesota softball league for turning off comments on a photo showing a state championship team that had a transgender player on its roster.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMGaines used Larry Nassar, the disgraced former doctor who sexually assaulted several Olympic gymnasts, to further her point about men being in womens spaces. While Smith did not agree with Gaines using Nassar, he did agree with the original premise."With that being said, the points you made to Simone Biles outside of the Larry Nassar comment, that should give us all cause for pause," he said on "The Stephen A. Smith Show." "The reality is that it is a disservice to women in a lot of people's eyes, that men transitioning to women get to compete in women's sports. Lia Thomas was a perfect example. Her highest ranking at the time highest ranking as a male participant was like 554th in the world. He transitioned into being a woman and was top 10. That speaks for itself."And the reality is theres an abundance of women out there who have a right to feel the way Riley Gaines feels, Simone Biles. Now whether its right for me or someone else to say it is a different argument. But in the age that were living in with Title IX in existence, with us being protective of fairness and equal rights and equal opportunity to women to then piggyback off of that and following up on that years later to allow transgender athletes transitioning from male to female to compete against women doesnt appear to be fair."Smith dismissed any notion that the debate over transgender athletes in girls and womens sports was more than just on-field competition.CALIFORNIA FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST DOJ OVER TRANSGENDER ATHLETE DEMAND"When we lean on this argument about fear, fear wait a minute. Somebodys not talking about your civil liberties, somebodys not talking about equality, somebodys not talking about those things allowing you to live and let live," he said. "Theyre talking about competition in sports. And if you allow somebody to compete in swimming its not gonna stop you from competing in boxing. Its not gonna allow you to stop you from competing in other sports."Smith brought up the talk around Ronda Rousey taking on Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a fight when both athletes were the talk of the sports world. He said that while sports fans know now what would happen in the fight after Rousey lost to Amanda Nunes, it should not have been in the minds of any fan in the first place."We know that in most instances, even though there are women that could beat some men out there, by and large the elite women dont deserve to be competing against the elite men," he said. "By deserve Im talking about based on their gender. You shouldnt be competing against men. I dont want to see a Clarissa Shields in a boxing ring against Terence Crawford."So when were talking about it from that premise its one thing for ladies look at someone like me and say, Who are you? Its another thing entirely for ladies to be looking at ladies, acting like ladies dont have the right to feel like theres a disadvantage for them if theyre going up against a male transitioning to female."Smith went on to say he hoped that more men transitioned to women in order for sports leagues to have a transgender category to make it fair. However, World Aquatics tried to have an open category in 2022 and received no interest in the competition."If you ask me my preference? I hope a whole bunch of men transitioning to women come out of the woodwork. So we can have men going up against men, women going up against women and transgenders going up against transgenders. Thats fair," he said. "But what Riley Gaines is talking about does seem a bit unfair, she has a right to express those thoughts without Simone Biles coming at her that way. Just because she lost? Shes talking about an unfair advantage."And theres no one that could really dispute if you are a male transitioning to female that theres an unfair advantage. I dont see women transitioning to men trying to compete in mens sports. If its happened, and I missed it, I apologize. But I missed it, I haven't seen that."Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

LSU's Flau'jae Johnson admits friendship with Angel Reese has soured
    www.foxnews.com
Flaujae Johnson and Angel Reese won a womens college basketball national championship together when the two players were with the LSU Tigers. However, it appears a lot has changed since then.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMReese, who now plays in the WNBA for the Chicago Sky, opened up about her relationship with Johnson in September during an episode of her podcast, "Unapologetically Angel." She said at the time the two were not "as close as we used to be" and "there were no hard feelings" toward each other, but the closeness that was once there just is not anymore.Johnson added more to it when she appeared on "The Breakfast Club" on Monday."We're not friends, but I mean that bond that we had, that thing that we did together, winning a national championship, you can never take that away from us," she said. "And so sometimes stuff happens. You wish it don't happen, but it do. And you just gotta grow.NORTH CAROLINA GREAT RASHAD MCCANTS DISHES ON THE NBA FINALS, MICHAEL JORDAN, BILL BELICHICK AND MORE"But I support her in everything she do. Like, shes killing in the WNBA Im just proud of her."Johnson agreed that the reason for the split was partially to do with things happening in the background."Yeah, it was a lot of media, it was a lot of locker room stuff, you know what I'm saying? Stuff that go on behind the scenes. But it happens. It happens," she said.During the 2023-24 season, as LSU looked to defend its national title, the mothers of both Reese and Johnson got into a social media spat. Reeses mother, Angel Reese Webb, criticized Johnson on social media, which prompted a response from Johnsons mom, Kia Brooks, who took aim at the former Tigers forward GPA.Reese, the former LSU star, seemingly threw shade at Brooks when she graduated from school.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
