During his remarks, he highlighted Candys acting roles in a way that appeared to reference the U.S. president."Were in a more dangerous, divided and intolerant world. In Canada, our sovereignty, our identity has come under threat. And when Canadians heard those threats, they channeled their inner John Candy stood up, elbows up, wrote our own lines," the politician said, according to Entertainment Weekly.TRUMP SAYS HE WASN'T TROLLING ABOUT ACQUIRING GREENLAND, CANADA AS 51ST STATECarney, who succeeded Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in March, reminded the TIFF audience that in many of his roles, the "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" star would drop his happy-go-lucky demeanor when "pushed too far.""And in many of his films, thered been a scene always a scene where John would pivot, having been pushed too far. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMEXCLUSIVE: Franklin Graham praises VP Vances stand, critiques his salty language in RFK Jr. defenseReverend Franklin Graham, one of the nations most prominent Christian voices, is standing behind Vice President JD Vance after his profane rebuke of senators in a heated social media post over Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.In an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital, Graham acknowledged that while he admired Vances stand, the Vice Presidents "salty" choice of words could have been better.Graham said in the statement: "We have had many vice presidents who have used salty language, but the point Vice President Vance was making is correct. Could he have used a better choice of words? In my opinion, yes; but I appreciate the vice president standing up for Secretary Kennedy who is trying to buck a very corrupt system and is trying to improve the health of the American people. God bless Secretary Kennedy and Vice President Vance."The exchange follows Vances viral X post declaring senators were "full of s---." Kennedy himself endorsed the message, one day after more than 1,000 current and former HHS employees called for Kennedys resignation.VP VANCE CURSES OUT SENATORS AFTER HEATED KENNEDY HEARING: 'FULL OF S--- AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT'The clash unfolded during a contentious Senate Finance Committee hearing on Thursday where Sen. Ron Wyden pressed Kennedy over health policies and accusations of promoting conspiracy theories. Kennedy pushed back, defending his record and policies aimed at challenging pharmaceutical companies.Vance quickly jumped to Kennedys defense on X. "When I see all these senators trying to lecture and gotcha Bobby Kennedy today all I can think is: You all support off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal therapies for children, mutilating our kids and enriching big pharma. Youre full of s--- and everyone knows it," Vance wrote.Kennedy reposted the comment, thanking him: "Thank you @JDVance. You put your finger squarely on the preeminent problem."TRUMP STANDS BY RFK JR. AFTER HEATED SENATE HEARING: I LIKE THE FACT THAT HES DIFFERENTThat defense extended beyond Vance. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also backed Kennedy, framing Democrat criticism as proof that the secretary is "over the target" in challenging entrenched interests. This is not the first time Graham has weighed in on political leaders language. He previously urged President Donald Trump to cut down on his profanity. "Your storytelling is great, but it could be so much better if you didnt use foul language," Graham wrote in a letter to Trump, citing Matthew 12:36: "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak."Graham later shared to Deseret News that Trump often remembered the admonition in his speeches. "It seems like when he slips momentarily, my letter comes to his mind, and he tells the audience about it, so it must have struck a chord with him." On the stakes, Graham added: "The president, his pulpit his microphone is huge. That microphone goes a long way."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPGraham ultimately closed his statement to Fox News Digital with a blessing: "God bless Secretary Kennedy and Vice President Vance."Representatives for Vice President Vance did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.Fox News' Alexandra Koch contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 50 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMChargers fans upset as Chiefs logo appears in end zone during designated home game in BrazilThe Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers opened their season in So Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night in what many believed would be a thrilling AFC West matchup. But Chargers fans are already up in arms about this divisional bout after seeing pictures of the field at Neo Qumica Arena. This is considered a Chargers home game despite the neutral location, and the Chiefs logo and name are in one of the end zones.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMDuring the inaugural Brazil game last season between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, the end zones were painted only with the Eagles name and colors. But Kay Adams, the host of the "Up & Adams Show," posted a photo of the field from the stadium, and Chargers fans were not pleased to see their division rivals name on it."The Chiefs having their own end zone for a Chargers home game is absurd," one X user said over Adams picture.TRAVIS KELCE GETS PLAYFUL PAYBACK ON PATRICK MAHOMES WITH SPOT-ON IMPERSONATION AT BRAZIL PRESS CONFERENCEAs a reference, heres what the field in So Paulo looked like during last years Eagles-Packers game."Did the NFL forget the Chargers are the home team???" another Chargers fan asked on X. "Chiefs end zone for what?"While some Chargers fans are going ballistic, other teams will have to get used to this moving forward in the NFLs international games. The new protocol is to have the name of each team in both end zones during the seven international games in 2025."New for this year, the logos and marks of both teams will appear in their respective end zones of all NFL international games," NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy told The Athletic. "Its a fun element to further enhance the atmosphere as a big event and create a special look and feel for international games."The next international game will be in Week 4 between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland. Then London will play host to three NFL games in Weeks 5-7, followed by a Week 10 matchup in Berlin, Germany, and the final game overseas in Madrid, Spain, in Week 11.So, while each game will have a home and away team, both teams will be represented on the field. Its tough for the Chargers, though, considering SoFi Stadium wont host the Chiefs this regular season. The next time these two teams meet after Friday night will be Dec. 14 in Kansas City.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 52 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMLoyal Ex-Biden aide says fateful debate against Trump was 'overblown' in closed-door House grillingOne of former President Joe Biden's top spokespeople dismissed the fallout from the former president's disastrous June 2024 debate performance during a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee that lasted over five hours.Andrew Bates, who served as White House senior deputy press secretary and worked in Biden's communications shop for nearly his entire term, said reactions to Biden's debate against then-candidate Donald Trump were "overblown," according to a source familiar with his interview.Bates "ultimately agreed with President Bidens decision to drop out" after viewing polling data the week Biden made his choice to drop his re-election bid, the source said.A source close to Bates, however, said after he had time to process the then-presidents decision and a turn in public polling during the final week of Biden's candidacy, he agreed Biden had made the right decision to withdraw.COMER DISMISSES BIDEN DOCTOR'S BID FOR PAUSE IN COVER-UP PROBE: 'THROWING OUT EVERY EXCUSE'He dismissed concerns about Biden's age as a "polling problem," however, and wrote off Americans' concerns about his age and abilities as the product of mainstream media and right-wing critics, according to the first source similar to previous Biden allies in their closed-door interviews. The former spokesman also described relatively infrequent interactions with Biden and allegedly said Biden only met with his press team a few times in a year."He would see President Biden in person a little over once a month, but this could be anything from travel, going with him to the Hill or just seeing him in the hallway," the first source said. But a former Biden White House staffer argued that the press secretary and the communications director were the default representatives of the press and communications team for daily meetings with the president.RON KLAIN DODGES REPORTERS AFTER MARATHON GRILLING IN BIDEN COVER-UP PROBEBates also allegedly told investigators he supported the sweeping, and controversial, pardon granted to Hunter Biden toward the end of the president's term. The second source, however, said Bates told investigators that Biden conducted himself "honorably" when asked whether any of his actions were done to benefit his son's business dealings. That pardon and the hundreds of other clemency orders signed by Biden are of particular interest to the House Oversight Committee.Oversight Committee Republicans are investigating whether Biden's top White House allies covered up signs of mental decline in the former president, and by extension, are looking into whether executive actions signed by autopen were executed with Biden's full awareness and approval.Biden himself told the New York Times recently that he made every clemency decision on his own.His allies have also blasted the GOP-led probe as a partisan exercise.During his opening statement, obtained by Fox News Digital, Bates defended Biden's fitness for office while criticizing Trump's own actions as president."I was proud to support Joe Biden as President because we believe in the same values. In the White House, it was universally understood that Joe Biden was in charge. That is completely consistent with my personal experience with the President," Bates told House investigators, according to another source.A House Oversight Committee spokesperson blasted Bates as "delusional" and accused his opening statement of leaking to media before he read it in the room.Fox News Digital reached out to Bates via his public relations firm Wolfpack Strategies, as well as his counsel, for further comment.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 96 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump signs order renaming Pentagon back to Department of WarPresident Donald Trump on Friday signed his 200th executive order which authorized the Department of Defense to revert its name back to the "Department of War."Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said the new name "sends a message of victory, a message of strength" to the world."Ithas to do with winning," the president went on. "We should have won every war. We could have won every war. But we really chose to be very politically correct or woke.""We won the First World War, we won the Second World War, we won everything before that and in between. And then we decided to go woke and we changed the name to the Department of Defense. So, we're going Department of War," he added.TRUMP TO RENAME PENTAGON, RESTORING HISTORIC DEPARTMENT OF WAR IN LATEST MILITARY MOVETrump said the nameis "a much more appropriate name, especially in light of where the world is right now.""We have the strongest military in the world. We have the greatest equipment in the world. We have the greatest men. New factories of equipment, by far. There's nobody to even compete," he said.Turning to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump said while smiling, "I'd like to ask our, secretary of war, to say a few words."Hegseth thanked Trump for signing the order, saying, the name change restores the "warrior ethos" to Americas military.HEGSETH VOWS TO REBUILD MILITARY DETERRENCE SO ENEMIES 'DON'T WANT TO F--- WITH US'"After winning a War for Independence in 1789, George Washington established the War Department and Henry Knox was his first secretary of war. And this country won every major war after that 150 years after that, we changed the name after World War Two from the Department of War to the Department of Defense in 1947 and as you pointed out, Mr. President, we haven't won a major war since," said Hegseth."This name change is not just about renaming, it's about restoring," said the secretary. "Words matter. It's restoring, as you've gotten us to, Mr. President, restoring the warrior ethos, restoring victory and clarity as an end state, restoring intentionality to the use of force."Hegseth pledged the War Department "is going to fight decisively, not endless conflicts. It's going to fight to win, not to lose. We're going to go on offense, not just on defense. Maximum lethality, not tepid legality. Violent effect, not politically correct," he said, adding, "We're going to raise up warriors, not just defenders. So, this War Department, Mr. President, just like America is back."'GOOD RIDDANCE': HEGSETH PRAISES ARMY DUMPING COMMAND PROMOTION BOARDS AIMED AT ELIMINATING BIASThe executive order calls for using the Department of War as a secondary title for the Department of Defense, along with phrases like "secretary of war" for Hegseth, according to a White House fact sheet previously shared with Fox News Digital. Its unclear if Congress, which has the authority to establish federal executive departments, will need to step in to issue final approval on the move. However, Trump expressed confidence the name will stick, saying, "We're going with it, and we're going with it very strongly but we'll put it before Congress."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 80 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMChristian foster families fight back against Massachusetts transgender mandateChristian foster parents in Massachusetts are challenging a state policy that requires them to affirm and encourage the medical transition of children in their care who identify as transgender or risk losing their foster care licenses. The lawsuit, filed Sept. 3, names two families the Jones and the Schrocks who foster young children and infants. Both families say they have either lost or are at risk of losing their licenses because of the policy, which requires foster parents to sign agreements to "promote," "support" and "affirm" a childs gender identity or expression. The Christian families argue that complying with the policy would violate their religious beliefs.COLORADO PLEDGES NOT TO ENFORCE GENDER IDENTITY RULES FOR CHRISTIAN CHILDREN'S CAMP AFTER LAWSUITAccording to the lawsuit, the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families plans to remove the Jones 17-month-old foster daughter from their home. The child has lived with them since she was barely 2 months old.The Schrocks, who have cared for 28 foster children over six years, had their license revoked in June after telling the state they could not comply with the policy.Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), the religious liberty legal group representing the families, said the two households previously fostered 35 children and were in good standing before the new requirements.According to the suit, Massachusetts did not previously require foster families to pledge verbal affirmation of a childs gender identity. That changed between 2023 and 2024, when the state began requiring families to sign agreements to speak and act in certain ways, including affirming a foster childs sexual orientation or gender identity.TEXAS PARENTS SUE HOUSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SECRETLY TRANSITIONING THEIR CHILD AGAINST THEIR INSTRUCTIONSADF argues the state is infringing on its clients First and Fourteenth Amendment rights and is harming children at a time when Massachusetts is facing a foster parent shortage."DCF [Department of Children and Families] is even willing to remove young infants and toddlers with no understanding of gender identity from loving homes because of their Christian beliefs, creating more trauma for the most vulnerable members of society," the lawsuit states.ADF Senior Counsel Johannes Widmalm-Delphonse said Massachusetts was prioritizing ideology over childrens needs.DEMOCRATIC STATES SUE TRUMP ADMIN OVER ENDING SEX CHANGE SURGERIES FOR MINORS"Massachusetts foster care system is in crisis: The commonwealth has more than 1,400 children who are waiting to be placed with a loving family. Yet Massachusetts is putting its ideological agenda ahead of the needs of these suffering kids," Widmalm-Delphonse said in a press release. He called the case "particularly egregious" because the state was threatening to remove the child the Jones' are fostering from the "only home she's ever known."The Massachusetts Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Children and Families, named as defendants in the lawsuit, did not immediately respond to Fox News Digitals request for comment. The families are asking the court to block enforcement of the rule, declare it unconstitutional and cover their legal costs.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 99 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

McCaffrey, on the other hand, gave some background on what he was dealing with."I'm not supposed to go into anything that happened, but I felt like it was the smart thing to do to not finish the practice (Thursday)," McCaffrey said.
