It wasnt even that big of a deal. I was a nobody. I was the smallest kid on the field literally. My freshman year, I was 5'6", 136 pounds. Maybe 5'7" with my Vans on. I didnt even make JV. I was the backup QB on the freshman team. Just some dude," Love wrote in "The Players Tribune."The Packers quarterback said his mom talked him out of quitting, and made him a deal."(Mom) saw right through me. She saw how much I was hurting. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump suggests there will be mandatory gender testing for women's sports at 2028 LA OlympicsPresident Donald Trump said there will be a "very strong form of testing" in response to a question about mandatory genetic testing for women's sports at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Trump's response came at a Tuesday White House event where he signed an executive order to establish the creation of an LA28 task force."I think there is going to be a very strong form of testing," Trump said. "There will be a very, very strong form of testing, and if the test doesn't come out appropriately, then they won't be in the Olympics."CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) recently amended its athlete safety policy to suggest compliance with Trump's "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" executive order."USOPC will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders with oversight responsibilities to ensure that women have a fair and safe competition environment consistent with Executive Order 14201," the policy reads.Trump said Tuesday that he believes the USOPC would have changed its previous policy that allowed biological males to compete in the women's competitions even if he hadn't returned to office and signed the executive order."I think they probably would have," Trump said.Trump was also asked if he believes the current policy will stay in place after he leaves office."There's a possibility. It could go either way if you really want to know the truth," Trump said. "I feel strongly about it. I have, I ran a campaign at least partially on that. That was one of the many issues I talked about that was certainly one of the issues."TRACKING THE TRANS ATHLETE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS CONTROVERSIES SHAKING THE NATION OVER THE LAST YEARMany women's sports rights activists have aggressively called for the implementation of mandatory sex testing in Olympic and NCAA women's competition since Trump's executive order was signed. The Independent Council on Women's Sports (ICONS), the advocacy group that represents multiple women's activist athletes, released a statement on July 22 calling for mandatory sex screening for all women's athletes in USOPC-sanctioned events, after the policy change was publicized."The next critical step is for the USOPC to implement sex screening protocols. This will ensure that women are guaranteed equal, fair and safe opportunities in athletic competition. ICONS will not rest until every girl, at every level, in every sport has access to fair competition and privacy in locker rooms," the statement said."The U.S. has a chance to be a leader in standing up for the fair treatment of women around the world."Women's fencer Stephanie Turner, who brought attention to the USOPC policies when she knelt in protest of a trans opponent in footage that went viral in April, also called for the testing."Enforcement of this policy is going to be essential," Turner said. Turner pointed to karyotyping, a test that examines the chromosomes in a sample of cells, as a necessary form of testing."You can't rely on documentation anymore. You can't rely on drivers license(s), you can't rely on birth certificates because those can all be edited."Former U.S. women's gymnast Dee Worley also told Fox News Digital that she believes testing should be mandatory in order to protect female competitors.Worley said that she doesn't believe any momentum on the issue will be achieved until mandatory sex screenings are implemented.Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 4 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWoody Allen compared Jeffrey Epstein's Manhattan home to 'Castle Dracula' in birthday letter: reportJeffrey Epstein's Manhattan townhouse was akin to "Castle Dracula," Woody Allen allegedly typed out in an undated letter reportedly sent to the convicted sex offender.Allen, 89, allegedly gave the note to Epstein in 2016 for his birthday, according to documents obtained by the New York Times. The "Annie Hall" director praised the late financier for his ability to connect a myriad of "interesting people" at his lavish dinner parties, which Allen claimed he regularly attended with his wife Soon-Yi.COMER SUBPOENAS THE CLINTONS, TRUMP'S DOJ IN HOUSE OVERSIGHT'S EPSTEIN PROBEAllen allegedly wrote that he "always" accepted an invitation to an event at Epstein's palatial digs, a seven-story, 21,000-square-foot abode in the heart of New York City."Being neighbors, my wife Soon-Yi and I have been invited for dinner many times," Allen allegedly wrote. "Always accept, always interesting. Wide variety of interesting people at every dinner just about. Politicians, scientists, teachers, magicians, comedians, intellectuals, journalists, an entymologist, a concert pianist."LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS"Anyhow, it's always interesting and the food is sumptuous and abundant. Lots of dishes, plenty of choices, numerous desse[r]ts, well served. I say well served often it's by some professional houseman and just as often by several young women reminding one of Castle Dracula where Lugosi has three young female vampires who service the place. Add to this that Jeffrey lives in a vast house alone, one can picture him sleeping in damp earth."Allen described one particularly satisfactory meal, where he and Soon-Yi dined among a "list of accomplished types.""But back to the food. Dependably a fine dinner but this was not always the case," Allen wrote. "In fact, the first time we came over it was a very different story. We were invited with a list of accomplished types, men and women in journalism, in TV, even royalty. We were ushered up to the living room where everyone sat around prior to dinner being served and chatted. No drinks were served. You could get one if you asked for one. That should have been the first clue."He continued, "When the meal was put out downstairs it was meager (sic). So meagre (sic) my wife the ones sitting next to her kept mumbling, is this it? Is this all we're getting? After I leave I may have to go to a restaurant. We didn't want to say anything when we came the next time but my wife did say in that tactful way she has, there is going to be more food, isn't there? Under her badgering the situation gradually improved and subsequent dinners offered buckets of Chinese food ordered from a local restaurant and placed on a buffet where one could get in line and help one's self.""It all seemed odd for a man of substance who entertained many illustrious guests often. Under contined (sic) badgering by my wife arrangements were made for food to be cooked at home and served. She had to explain the order in which things come out. Not the main course and then the appetizer but the other way around."In time she bullied him into putting a few flowers in the middle of the table to make it look mildly warm and inviting. This took time and a number of corrections but his meals have been tweaked into some sense of normal, civil, dining. The large phone and computer at his right hand does take some of the relaxed home-cooking atmosphere out of it but but one can't have everything not at Castle Dracula."Representatives for Woody Allen did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.Allen and Soon-Yi met when Allen was in a relationship with Soon-Yis adoptive mother, Mia Farrow. The two began a relationship despite their 35-year age difference. Allen was accused by his adoptive daughter, Dylan Farrow, of sexual abuse. Allen has denied the allegations.Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019, one month after his arrest on federal charges for sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He had previously pleaded guilty to prostitution charges as part of a plea deal, and served 13 months in a Palm Beach jail.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTERHis accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking. Maxwell was recently transferred to a lower-security facility, Federal Prison Camp Bryan, in Texas.FPC Bryan, which is home to roughly 600 female inmates convicted of non-violent crimes, serves as a minimum-security prison that also houses Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, Jen Shah. Her defense team told the Supreme Court Tuesday that it opposes a judge releasing grand jury transcripts in her sex trafficking case after the Trump Department of Justice moved to unseal them.Maxwell's attorneys wrote in court papers that the unsealing would jeopardize her appeal to the Supreme Court and that their client could not take an "informed position" since the court had declined to let her defense team see the transcripts in advance. The move by Maxwell, while expected, adds to the obstacles the DOJ must overcome to release grand jury transcripts from Epstein's and Maxwell's cases. The department had requested the material after President Donald Trump called for Attorney General Pam Bondi to do more to assuage public outcry about the DOJ's initial decision last month to withhold any further information about Epstein's case.Trump, who was among the many high-profile figures in Epstein's social circle, had previously brushed off growing calls from MAGA supporters to unveil more information about Epstein's case after the late financier was accused in 2019 of engaging in sex trafficking and sexual abuse of underage women. But a renewed public focus on Trump's relationship with Epstein prompted the president to shift his stance and claim that while some of the files were fabricated by Democrats, the DOJ should release what it could.Fox News Digital's Ashley Oliver contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 4 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMRFK Jr cancels $500 million in mRNA research, HHS to prioritize 'safer' vaccine alternativesA total of 22 mRNA vaccine development contracts totaling roughly $500 million have been canceled, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Tuesday. The mRNA investments were part of the government's Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), a division of HHS that drives some of the country's most advanced scientific research, such as the development of vaccines, drugs and other tools to fight national health threats. The termination of the 22 BARDA contracts follows a several-weeks-long internal review to determine a path forward when it comes to these investments."We reviewed the science, listened to the experts, and acted," HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Tuesday. "BARDA is terminating 22 mRNA vaccine development investments because the data show these vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu. Were shifting that funding toward safer, broader vaccine platforms that remain effective even as viruses mutate."RFK JR SCRAPS VACCINE COMMITTEE MEMBERS IN EFFORT TO RESTORE 'PUBLIC TRUST'In a short video explaining the move, Kennedy said the benefits simply do not outweigh the risks associated with mRNA vaccines.Kennedy went on to point out that not only do mRNA vaccines as shown during the COVID-19 pandemic not perform well against viruses that infect the upper respiratory tract, but they also do not defend against mutations of the viruses they are intended to go after."This dynamic drives a phenomena called anogenic shift, meaning that the vaccine paradoxically encourages new mutations and can actually prolong pandemics as the virus constantly mutates to escape the protective effects of the vaccine," Kennedy said in the video. For example, the HHS secretary pointed to the omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, which infected many millions, including those who had been vaccinated against COVID."A single mutation can make mRNA vaccines ineffective," Kebbedy added, noting that the same risks also apply to the flu virus.HHS SLAMS 'UNDER-TESTED' MRNA TECHNOLOGY AS TRUMP CUTS MODERNA'S VACCINE FUNDINGThe move to cancel the mRNA contracts under BARDA will not entirely cancel all mRNA vaccine research done by the government, a source familiar with the move indicated. In addition to allowing some final-stage contracts to run their course to completion in an effort to preserve prior taxpayer investments, ongoing mRNA research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will not be impacted by this latest move.Meanwhile, in lieu of the terminated mRNA research and investments at BARDA, HHS will focus on "safer, broader vaccine strategies," Kennedy indicated."To replace the troubled mRNA programs, we're prioritizing the development of safer, broader vaccine strategies like whole virus vaccines and novel platforms that don't collapse when viruses mutate," Kennedy said in his video explanation about the terminated mRNA investments.During the video, Kennedy reiterated his support for "safe, effective vaccines" for any American who wants them."That's why we're moving beyond the limitations of mRNA for respiratory viruses and investing in better solutions."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 10 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBrother of Israeli hostage urges UN to act after video shows Hamas starving and torturing captivesIlay David, the brother of 22-year-old hostage Evyatar David, delivered an emotional plea to the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday, calling for urgent international action after a horrific new video showed his emaciated brother being forced to dig his own grave inside a Hamas tunnel. The Security Council session was requested by Israel and comes as the country stands on the verge of a full annexation of Gaza a move prompted by the collapse of ceasefire talks and the release of disturbing images of starving hostages.Evyatar David was abducted from the Nova music festival on Oct. 7, 2024. In the newly received footage, he appears frail reduced to just 90 pounds and is seen struggling to speak.NETANYAHU RESPONDS AFTER ISRAELI HOSTAGE SEEN EMACIATED, DIGGING GRAVE: 'CRUELTY OF HAMAS HAS NO BOUNDARIES'Holding up a still from the video, Ilay David described a haunting visual: "As my younger brother, a living skeleton, was forced to speak and dig his grave, the chubby and well-fed hand of a Hamas terrorist entered the frame. Suddenly, Hamas confirmed what we have known for months the terrorists have plenty of food. The only ones starving in Hamas tunnels are the hostages: my brother, Guy, and the [49] others.""My mother and I could not bring ourselves to watch it," he said, speaking remotely via Zoom, "But my father and sister did. And now the images haunt them."Citing testimony from former hostages including Tal Shoham, whose account was first published by Fox News Digital David said the terrorists remain in nearby rooms while deliberately starving captives as part of a "sick and twisted propaganda campaign.""This is a humanitarian crisis the crisis of the hostages that is not being discussed here," he said. "Not in the Security Council, and not in other U.N. forums. The very soul of humanity is being scarred by Hamass barbaric actions."TRUMP: HAMAS SURRENDER, HOSTAGE RELEASE IS FASTEST WAY TO END GAZA WARThe meeting of the U.N. Security Council was convened following the release of the latest hostage video. Israel believes that as few as 20 hostages remain alive in Hamas captivity many in critical condition, with only days left to live.Israels Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who attended the session in New York, called on the United Nations Security Council to "finally condemn Hamas for its evil crimes. To hold it responsible, and to demand the immediate release of our hostages."Before the meeting, Sa'ar told reporters that while Israel continues to facilitate humanitarian aid into Gaza, Hamas is deliberately starving the hostages."Evyatar was forced to dig his own grave. This is satanic," he said. "These are evil crimes like those committed by the Nazis and ISIS."Saar also warned that recent moves by several nations to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state have emboldened Hamas and undermined negotiations."They gave Hamas free gifts and an incentive to continue this war," he said. "They directly assassinated the hostage deal and ceasefire. These countries prolonged the war."Ilay David ended his address with a desperate appeal: "We, the family of Evyatar, refuse to give up hope. We are weeping, we are suffering, but we are also fighting with every fiber of our being. We will not give up until we see him back home until my mother and father can hug him again.""To the leaders of the world, to every member of this Council, and to the global community: Your silence in the face of this monstrous cruelty is complicity. I urge you do not let them die. Act now, before its too late. Save Evyatar David. Bring my little brother home."When asked by reporters at the White House on Tuesday if he had seen the Hamas video of Evyatar David, President Donald Trump said he had, calling it "horrible."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 10 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMButter knife to a gunfight': Democratic lawmaker rips his party's strategy in redistricting battleRep. Greg Casar, D-Texas, criticized fellow Democrats on Tuesday for not fighting hard enough to oppose Republican effortsto redraw congressional districts.During an interview on MSNBCs "Ana Cabrera Reports," Cabrera asked Casar if Democrats canget "rid of gerrymandering altogether" and also "fight fire with fire," questioning if the party can "have it both ways.""Absolutely," Casar said. "Every Democrat in Congress right now is on the record and has voted for or sponsors national legislation to get rid of gerrymandering nationwide. And I would vote for that tomorrow, and I challenge any of my Republican colleagues to vote for it.""We need to get to fair rules across the nation and not have Democrats showing up with a butter knife to a gunfight," he continued.'ALL-OUT WAR': FLEEING TEXAS DEMS SIDE WITH NEWSOM AS REDISTRICTING STANDOFF CONTINUES: 'FIRE WITH FIRE'Casars frustration reflects a growing sentiment among progressives that Democrats are handicapping themselves when it comes to redrawing congressional districts.Last week, Texas House Republicans introduced a redistricting proposal that could net five new Republican congressional seats. The draft map is likely to change before approval by both state legislative chambers. The proposal would redraw district lines to include more Republican-leaning suburbs or surrounding areas in heavily Democratic cities like Dallas and Houston."But Republicans have been the ones who have blocked that kind of independent redistricting across the nation," Casar sid. "So lets be clear about who is doing the gerrymandering. Its the Republicans. The question before us is, should California continue to play by a certain set of rules while letting Greg Abbott suppress peoples voting rights? I dont think thats the right way to do it."Casar added that he thinks "California should have an independent commission when Texas has one," and that "New York should have a law that says New York will have an independent commission when Florida has one."California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) have both said if Texas moves forward with their redistricting plan, they will look at redrawing their congressional discrts in their states to make it more favorable to Democrats.TRUMP, REPUBLICANS RACE TO REDRAW TEXAS CONGRESSIONAL MAP AS DEMOCRATS THREATEN LEGAL WAREarlier in his conversation with Cabrera, Casar said Republicans are guilty of gerrymandering."Right now, under our current maps, Congress already has been gerrymandered 16 seats total towards the Republicans," Casar claimed. "So, at the end of the day, we do need to get rid of gerrymandering nationwide. Pass a federal bill, like the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, to get rid of gerrymandering and get big money out of politics. But what Democrats cant continue to do is to allow right-wing extremists in states like Texas to silence our voices, while in blue states we dont fight back."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 10 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMarjorie Taylor Greene urges Trump to commute George Santos' federal prison sentence: 'Far worse offenses'Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is urging that President Donald Trump commute former Rep. George Santos seven-year sentence, calling the punishment "a grave injustice" and an "abusive overreach by the judicial system."The former New York congressman was sentenced to 87 months, or just over seven years, after pleading guilty in 2024 to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Santos reported to prison on July 25 to begin serving his sentence.Santos was assessed the maximum sentence in April by U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert. He was also ordered to pay nearly $374,000 in restitution and forfeit more than $205,000 in fraud proceeds.Santos guilty plea followed an investigation into campaign finance fraud, donor identity theft and false COVID-era unemployment claims.FORMER CONGRESSMAN GEORGE SANTOS DELIVERS 'GLAMOROUS' FAREWELL BEFORE GOING TO PRISON: 'THE CURTAIN FALLS'On Monday, Greene said in a post on X that she sent a letter to the Office of the Pardon Attorney urging Trump to commute Santos sentence."A 7-year prison sentence for campaign-related charges is excessive, especially when Members of Congress whove done far worse still walk free," she wrote in the post. "George Santos has taken responsibility. Hes shown remorse. Its time to correct this injustice. We must demand equal justice under the law!"Greene addressed her letter to the Honorable Edward R. Martin Jr., pardon attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and she acknowledged the gravity of the actions by her former colleague.ABREGO GARCIA LAWYERS SEEK SANCTIONS ON TRUMP OFFICIALS OVER STONEWALLING, DEFYING COURT ORDERS"As a Member of Congress, I worked with Mr. Santos on many issues and can attest to his willingness and dedication to serve the people of New York who elected him to office," she wrote. "He is sincerely remorseful and has accepted full responsibility for his actions. Furthermore, my office has spoken with a pastor of his who discussed the regret and remorse of Mr. Santos, agreeing that the sentence imposed is a grave injustice."While his crimes warrant punishment, many of my colleagues who I serve with have committed far worse offenses than Mr. Santos yet have faced zero criminal charges," Greene continued. "I strongly believe in accountability for ones actions, but I believe the sentencing of Mr. Santos is an abusive overreach by the judicial system."Prosecutors shared how Santos and his campaign treasurer, Nancy Marks, doctored donor reports to qualify for national Republican Party funding. They fabricated contributions from Santos' family and falsely reported a $500,000 loan from Santos, though he had under $8,000 in his accounts.TRUMP COMMUTES SENTENCE OF MAJOR POLITICAL DONOR IN LATEST ROUND OF CLEMENCYHe also stole credit card information from donors, including "victims he knew were elderly persons suffering from cognitive impairment or decline" and made unauthorized charges to fund both campaign and personal expenses, according to the DOJ. Santos also used a fake political fundraising company to solicit tens of thousands of dollars, which he spent on "designer clothing."During the pandemic, Santos fraudulently claimed over $24,000 in unemployment benefits while employed at an investment firm. He also submitted false congressional financial disclosures to the House.Santos was elected in 2022 after flipping New Yorks 3rd District for the GOP. His resum was easily debunked.
