We cant abolish America's largest teachers union. But Congress can do something else
For decades, theNational Education Association (NEA) thecountrys largest teachers union has amassednearly unrivaled political power with which to pursue its own narrow self-interest and impose its radical social and economic agenda.COVID-19 placedtheNEAunderthemicroscope as never before, offeringtheunion an opportunity for some much-needed introspection. In 2021,theWall Street Journaleditorial boardproclaimedwhat informed conservatives have long known and what, by that time, had become obvious tothepublic at large:TheNEAis "theideological and institutional vanguard of progressive politics," a "powerful wing oftheDemocratic Party," and intenton"invading" public schools with "progressive politics."But instead of abandoning its partisan special interests and returning to itsearly missionof "[promoting]thecause of education intheUnited States,"theNEAemerged fromthepandemic determined to double downoneveryone of its harmful, misguided beliefs and ideologies.TEACHERS UNION REVEALS TRUE COLORS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AT ANNUAL CONVENTIONTheNEAs annual Representative Assembly, held this month in Portland, generated headlinesandmockeryas copies ofthecontroversial resolutions approved bytheunions delegates were leaked tothepublic, including everything from attacking democratically elected President Donald Trump as a "fascist" to underminingtheenforcement of our immigration laws and, in a brazen display oftheunions antisemitism, cutting tieswiththepro-Jewish Anti-Defamation League.Whilethegrowing public outcry overtheir extremism ledtheNEAto stop making its convention resolutions publicly available, thedizzying array of woke material freely availableontheunions website is even more shocking. For instance, some ofthe"important" documentspostedonlinefor attendees attheNEAs Portland convention included: a "Pronoun Guide" claiming that people who do not habitually sharetheir pronouns are "unsafe"; a byzantine "Land Acknowledgement Guide" directing readers to fight "colonization" by reminding attendees at any event ofthe"dispossession of Indigenous land and people"; and aformto submit complaints totheNEAs "CommitteeonEquity & Ethnic Harmony" should any conference attendee breach social justice protocols.PARENTS MUST STAY ALERT AS PUBLIC SCHOOLS HIDE LIFE-ALTERING DECISIONS FROM FAMILIESMore concerning wastheNEAsnine-page "report"for convention delegates highlightingtheunions priorities andactivities inthefirst half oftheyear. FDA chief has no 'plans' for abortion pill policy changes but continues safety review
Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary said in a recent interview he has "no preconceived plans" to modify policies surrounding abortion pill mifepristone, which is designed to end a pregnancy in the first 10 weeks."We have an ongoing review of safety data on mifepristone, which is a requirement from the prior administrations," Makary said in an interview with POLITICO. "You always have to be open-minded. You have to listen to different opinions and make decisions based on what you think is the right thing to do."His comments mirror those he made during the Semafor World Economy Summit in April.During the summit, Makary said he has "no plans to take action" that would restrict the abortion drug's availability, but cautioned the agency wouldn't hesitate to act if the data suggested there was a safety issue.ABORTION PILL MIFEPRISTONE SPARKS NEW PRO-LIFE DEBATE AS SOME DOCTORS STRESS SAFETY CONCERNS"There is an ongoing set of data that is coming into the FDA on mifepristone," he said. Ex-WWE broadcaster Jonathan Coachman recalls story behind Hulk Hogan's legendary WrestleMania X8 performance
The loss of WWE icon Hulk Hogan left many reminiscing about their favorite moments with him inside the ring, where his exuberant personality and athletic talent came to life in front of thousands.Jonathan Coachman, a former WWE broadcaster, spent time doing just that on OutKick's "Hot Mic," and the one match he brought up in particular was what some consider among the top 10 of all-time.It was the "Hulkster" against Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at WrestleMania X8.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"Ive only had probably three or four times my entire career, which spanned over a decade in WWE, where I walked out onto the floor. That one I wanted to be out there, and it was the most amazing 45 minutes of my career, watching the fans watch these two icons, and they changed the match because fans wanted to cheer for Hulk Hogan and boo The Rock," Coachman recalled."So, it was such a unique time to see the Hulk, who physically wasnt where he needed to be and that was basically the stretch for him to even go that long in a match. It was a magical night, and I still look back on it as one of the highlights of my career."The match took place in Toronto at the SkyDome, where these two were the main attraction. The match was dubbed "Icon vs. Icon," and it was Hogans first WrestleMania appearance since WrestleMania IX in 1993.PRO WRESTLING ICON HULK HOGAN DEAD AT 71The storyline at the time was The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin against New World Order, which consisted of Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. The Rock had challenged Hogan to a WrestleMania match, and Hogan shook his hand in agreement. However, The Rocks signature move, "Rock Bottom," came out instead of letting go of Hogan, leading to the feud that built up until the match came around in March 2002 north of the border."Thats what the wrestling business has always been: Building up to big moments. Building up to big spectacles and having them pay off," Coachman said. "And up until the mid 90s or late 90s, Hogan was really the guy above and beyond anybody else. As we got into the 2000s, things started to happen and there was good and there was bad. Being able to put that match together, and your words are awesome, because I wanted to feel it. I was part of so many big moments in my career, and my career was the attitude era and there was no better time."The crowd was electric throughout the night, and some even believed it to be one of the loudest pro wrestling crowds of all time as these two traded blows back and forth for more than a half hour.Coachman also said that it was The Rock who kept Hogan in it as long as they did. There was even some improvisation that needed to be done mid-match."I dont know that the match wouldve ever happened because Rock was at his prime at that point. He had to give so much to Hogan to make that match believable," he said. "Then, what was so shocking, they had worked on that match for weeks. They even set up a ring in the hotel and we would rent it out for the entire week. They had worked on it for so many hours."Then, to walk in the ring with 80,000 or however many people were there, they happened to completely switch it because theres certain things you can do as a good guy, you cant do as a bad guy and vice versa. For The Rock to stand there, and people watch the match, they barked at each other for 10 minutes. They werent trash talking Rock was telling him how to switch it up."In the end, The Rock came out victorious over Hogan, and Nash and Hall didn't like Hogan showing respect to Rock. Nash and Hall began to beat up on Hogan, who was effectively out of NWO at that point. The Rock ended up coming to Hogan's aid, and as a huge sign of respect, he asked Hogan to pose with him in the ring to salute the crowd."To me, its the pinnacle of what our business is," Coachman said. "I wrestled for three or four years. If I had to go 10 or 12 minutes, that was a long time for me. These guys, they held the crowd in the palm of their hand and that was the greatness of Hulk Hogan the character and Hulk Hogan the wrestler for so many years."Hogan died at 71 years old due to a suspected "cardiac arrest" at his home in Clearwater, Florida, according to TMZ Sports."WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away," the company wrote in a statement. "One of pop cultures most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s."WWE extends its condolences to Hogans family, friends, and fans."Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Grieving parents of American terror victim plead with top criminal prosecutor for justice
JERUSALEM The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is under growing pressure to extradite the self-confessed female Hamas terrorist Ahlam Aref Ahmad al-Tamimi, who engineered the terrorist bombing at a Jerusalem pizzeria in 2001 that murdered three Americans among 16 people, half of whom were children.Frimet and Arnold Roth, the parents of Malki Roth, a 15-year-old U.S. citizen murdered in the 2001 Sbarro pizzeria bombing, held a virtual meeting on July 17, 2025 withJeanine F. Pirro, United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. The U.S. State Department has a $5 million reward for information leading to al-Tamimiscapture, even as reports claim Jordans King Abdullah II has played hardball, refusing to extradite the accused mass murderer.ISRAEL CONFIRMS DEATH OF MISSING ABU DHABI RABBI: ABHORRENT ACT OF ANTISEMITIC TERRORISM"You have the capacity to push for her extradition, to ensure that the 1995 treaty is honored, to show Jordan and its population along with the watching world that harboring terrorists has consequences," Arnold Roth told Pirro during the meeting, according to a family press release following the meeting. The 24th anniversary of the Aug. 9, 2001 bombing is next month.Roth added, "Were here today to implore you to act. Jordan needs to know the U.S. cannot tolerate the protection of a murderer of American citizens. U.S. justice needs to be respected by the world and, without hammering this point too hard, by Americas lawmakers and senior officials."The Roths said that the meeting focused on the need for "concrete steps" to advance the long-delayed extradition of al-Tamimi. Al-Tamimisterrorist bombing also killed Judith Shoshana Greenberg and Chana Nachenbergin the 2001 attack. "All the victims deserve justice," Arnold Roth said, stressing that Tamimis extradition should become a "true priority" for the U.S. Department of Justice.FOX NEWS POLL: VOTERS THINK IRAN POSES REAL THREAT TO U.S. SECURITYWhen asked if the extradition of al-Tamimi was raised by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in his Wednesday meeting withJordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi,a State Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital, "The United States has continually emphasized to the Government of Jordan the importance of holding Ahlam al-Tamimi, the convicted terrorist released by Israel in a 2011 prisoner swap, accountable in a U.S. court for her admitted role in a 2001 bombing in Jerusalem that killed 15 people, including Americans Malka Chana Roth, Judith Shoshana Greenbaum, and Chana Nachenberg. The United States continues to impress upon the Government of JordanthatTamimiis a brutal murderer who should be broughtto justice."The State Department referred Fox News Digitalto the Department of Justice for more information about the U.S. criminal case against al-Tamimi.The Justice Department and Pirros office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital press queries.Al-Tamimi is on the FBIs Most Wanted Terrorists list. She is the second female to appear on the terrorism list.Frimet Roth told U.S. Attorney Pirro that"We cannot carry this fight alone any longer. Judge Pirro, please, be the voice for Malki and the other American victims. Be the advocate for justice that has been denied for too long. We beg you to actnot for our sake alone, but for the integrity of American law and the sanctity of every life lost to terror."The Roths also delivered a petition to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee in May 2025, with some 30,000 signatures urging the Trump administration to press Jordan for al-Tamimis extradition.JORDAN'S KING ABDULLAH MEETING WITH BIDEN HIGHLIGHTS US ALLY'S DILEMMA IN ISRAEL-HAMAS WARArnold Roth told Fox News Digital that "No senior figure from State has ever, in all the years of our fight for justice, agreed to speak with us. Their treatment of us and of the Tamimi case is deplorable. Victoria Nuland, then one of the top-ranking figures in the State Department. Nuland wrote to us in the names of President Biden and then-Sec of State Antony Blinken, and told us that the Tamimi case was quote a foremost priority for the U.S. And that they would keep us informed. She then [they] ignored every follow-up letter that I sent her, and of course so said Biden and Blinken."Jordans government is a major recipient of U.S. Foreign Military Financing (FMF).According to a January 2025 U.S. State Department fact sheet, "Since 2015, the Department of State has provided Jordan with $2.155 billion in FMF, which makes Jordan the third-largest global recipient of FMF funds over that time period. In addition, the Department of Defense (DoD) has provided $327 million to the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) under its 333 authority since 2018, making Jordan one of the largest recipients of this funding."Al-Tamimi reportedly boasted about her terrorist operation in the Arab media and called for more terrorism against Israel. "Of course. I do not regret what happened. Absolutely not. This is the path. I dedicated myself to jihad for the sake of Allah, and Allah granted me success. You know how many casualties there were [in the 2001 attack on the Sbarro pizzeria]. This was made possible by Allah. Do you want me to denounce what I did? That's out of the question. I would do it again today, and in the same manner," she said in 2011, according to a MEMRI translation. In 2017, the U.S. Justice Department publicly announced that it had charged her with the Jerusalem suicide bombing.Fox News Digital sent multiple press queries to Jordans government and its embassies in Washington, D.C., and Tel Aviv.

Youngkin unleashes cutting-edge AI technology in effort to slash Virginia's government red tape
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin is embarking on a landmark project to use "agentic" artificial intelligence to hasten his 2022 pledge to cut one-quarter of Virginias red-tape regulatory structure during his tenure. The term-limited Republican signed an executive order that introduced a pilot program using AI to scan the entirety of Richmonds regulations and official guidance."We ask each agency to calculate the savings to them associated with any action that is taken. For more information about our methodology, I would point you to the Regulatory Economic Analysis Manual, which can be found online," Youngkin spokesperson Peter Finocchio told Fox News Digital."AI is utilized in two key ways in this process: comparing existing regulations with what is actually required by statute, to identify any redundancies, and comparing Virginias regulations to those in other states, to see if other states are accomplishing similar goals more efficiently and with less red tape."'VETO CORLEONE': YOUNGKIN KILLS LEFT-WING DREAMS WITH RECORD-SETTING BILL NIXING SPREE"AI is utilized in this way to make recommendations, but there is always a human in the loop making the final decisions, which is required by Executive Order 30," Finocchio added.Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence that differs from typical reactive bots like ChatGPT or Grok that provide information based on prompts, and instead can be programmed to pursue a goal, make autonomous decisions and take actions.Driverless cars like Waymo taxis are another real-world example of such technology.AI will "supercharge" the Youngkin administrations efforts, his office said in a statement, and help ensure that government is streamlined and modernized to better serve the people of the Old Dominion.EDUCATION IS THE BEDROCK OF ATTAINING THE AMERICAN DREAM, YOUNGKIN TELLS REAGAN FORUM"We have made tremendous strides towards streamlining regulations and the regulatory process in the Commonwealth. Using emergent artificial intelligence tools, we will push this effort further in order to continue our mission of unleashing Virginias economy in a way that benefits all of its citizens," said Youngkin, who was a successful executive in the private sector before entering government. The AI tool will alert the state to any areas in which regulations are redundant, contradictory or overbroad.State agencies will then be able to use the AI platform in the future as well to continue breaking down the barriers to effective governance."The Virginia model for regulatory modernization has become the gold standard across the U.S., with other states and federal agencies looking to replicate our reforms," Virginia Regulatory Management Director Reeve Bull said.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"With this newest initiative, Virginia will continue to lead the nation, becoming the first state to launch an agentic AI tool to power the regulatory reduction process," Bull added. Thus far, state government guidance documentation has been culled by nearly half, as roughly 48% of the total word counts have been deleted. That figure adds to the 26% of regulatory requirements statewide that have been either streamlined or eliminated, resulting in an estimated $1.2 billion annual taxpayer savings. The state indicated that there are still some agencies in Richmond that have not met Youngkins 25% goal laid out in his original order.

USA Volleyball complies with Trump's executive order, bans trans athletes from girls' and women's competition
USA Volleyball (USAV) has become the latest organization to change its gender eligibility policy to align itself withPresident Donald Trump's executive order aimed at barring transgender athletes from competing in girls and womens sports. The latest policy change, which takes effect immediately, states that all members of USAV "are expected to participate or compete in all USAV-sanctioned events or activities as a member of the gender assigned at the time of birth on their birth certificate."The change effectively bans transgender athletes from competition as a response to theU.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC), which quietly updated its guidance on Monday to require that all national sports governing bodies comply with the presidents executive order.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEW.COM"As a federally chartered organization, we have an obligation to comply with federal expectations," USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland and President Gene Sykes wrote in a letter. "Our revised policy emphasizes the importance of ensuring fair and safe competition environments for women.
