A federal judge has sentenced former Louisville police officer Brett Hankison to 33 months in prison for violating the civil rights of Breonna Taylor, who was killed in 2020 by law enforcement during a botched drug raid.Hankison, 49, was convicted last year of violating Taylor's civil rights, which could have resulted in a maximum sentence of life in prison. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Monday released a video showing an illegal alien suspected of shooting an off-duty Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer being dumped outside a Bronx hospital by another suspect.The video shows a man in a red shirt riding a black moped into what appears to be a hospital bay, and subsequently pushing a passenger in a white shirt onto the ground. The passenger slinks off the moped before the driver flees the scene.DHS said in a post on X that the video shows the suspects on the same moped that was also captured on video at the scene of the shooting. "These individuals will face the full weight of the U.S. Justice System," DHS added in the post.Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez is accused of shooting the CBP officer during an attempted robbery in Fort Washington Park late Saturday night. The CBP officer was hanging out in the park with a companion when police say Nunez and another suspect pulled up on the moped and tried to rob the officer at gunpoint. The officer pulled out his own service weapon to defend himself. Both Nunez and the officer were shot multiple times.TEXAS BORDER PATROL SHOOTER DETAILS REMAIN SCANT AS VIOLENCE AGAINST ICE, CBP AGENTS SURGESThe officer, who has not been named, was shot in the face and arm. A Texas man allegedly admitted to killing his wife and concealing her decomposing body in their home for a month, reportedly telling investigators he wanted to "go big or go home" with his first offense.Charles Byrd, 49, was apprehended on Sunday following a day-long search initiated after a family member contacted authorities, claiming Byrd had confessed to murdering his wife, Angela Byrd. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all those who were inspired by his light."Warner was swimming Sunday at Playa Grande de Cocles in the Limon province when a current pulled him into deeper waters, Costa Ricas Judicial Investigation Department claimed."He was rescued by people on the beach," an initial report stated, but first responders could not revive the actor.Warner gained fame as the son of Heathcliff Huxtable, played by Bill Cosby, on "The Cosby Show" from 1984 to 1992. He appeared in all 197 episodes of the NBC sitcom.In 1986, Warner earned an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor in a comedy.The show's legacy was tarnished after Cosby was accused of sexual assault. Cosby's 2018 conviction was overturned in 2021.
