WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump stands 'stronger than ever' one year after surviving Pennsylvania assassination attempt, staffers sayIn a matter of minutes on a hot summer Saturday in northwestern Pennsylvania, the already unprecedented 2024 election cycle was rocked by an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump's life that had a sweeping effect not only on the upcoming presidency, but also staffers who witnessed the harrowing moment.Eight shots rang out at the Butler Farm Show Grounds at about 6:11 p.m. Eastern Time, roughly six minutes after Trump took the open-air rally's stage. The rally began on its typical lively note, with the former and upcoming president swaying to Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" and engaging with supporters by pointing at them as they clapped and held up signs declaring, "Joe Biden, you're fired."The rally came to a screeching halt after Trump began his address and was seen grabbing the side of his head before abruptly dropping to the ground. Rally-goers were also seen ducking for cover as confusion gripped the small fairgrounds located just north of Pittsburgh.Secret Service agents threw their bodies over Trump as shields as they worked to get him off of the stage and to a secure location.FIRST RESPONDERS SIT DOWN WITH WIDOW OF FIREFIGHTER KILLED AT BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA TRUMP RALLYActing Secret Service Director Sean M. Curran, one of the agents who rushed to protect Trump that day, told Fox News Digital that July 13, 2024, has remained at the top of his mind since he was tapped to lead the Secret Service."One year ago, I was by President Trumps side when a lone gunman attempted to assassinate him in Butler, Pennsylvania," Curran said. "My heart will always be with all those impacted on that day, especially Corey Comperatore, who lost his life while protecting those around him.""Since President Trump appointed me as director of the United States Secret Service, I have kept my experience on July 13 top of mind, and the agency has taken many steps to ensure such an event can never be repeated in the future," he continued. "Nothing is more important to the United States Secret Service than the safety and security of our protectees. As director, I am committed to ensuring our agency is fully equipped, resourced and aligned to carry out our important mission each and every day."ONE YEAR AFTER TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT, BUTLER WIDOW DEMANDS ACCOUNTABILITY FROM SECRET SERVICETrump emerged into the camera's view with a trail of blood streaked across his cheek and famously raised a fist before defiantly chanting, "Fight, fight, fight" as law enforcement escorted him from the stage.White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, who served as Trump campaign manager in 2024 and witnessed the harrowing attempt, told the New York Post's Miranda Devine earlier in July in a podcast interview that she "100%" believes divine intervention protected Trump from a greater tragedy that day."The way the rally itself unfolded, the chart he had them put up on the screens it was always the last chart in the rotation. And it was always on the other side" of the stage, Wiles told Devine in an interview that published Wednesday. "To have him ask for that chart eight minutes in and to have it come on the side that is opposite caused him to look in a different direction... I believe God wanted him to live."SECRET SERVICE SUSPENDS 6 AGENTS TASKED WITH PROTECTING TRUMP DURING JULY 2024 ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTPennsylvania Sen. Dave McCormick, who was in the midst of his election cycle to unseat longtime Democrat Sen. Bob Casey, said in comment to Fox News Digital that he was just feet from Trump when the gunshots rang out."I was sitting just 15 feet from the stage at theButlerrally when the shots rang out.Moments before the attempted assassination, President Trump asked me to come on stage to give my remarks. As I was headed onstage, he prompted me to wait until after he spoke to the crowd about an immigration chart. Returning to my seat, I watched as President Trumpturned his attention and head towards the charta decision that likely saved his life," McCormick said."Moments later, a bullet meant for his head struck his ear. He went down, then stood up and raised his fist in defiance. That moment captured who he is at his corea strong leaderand marked a turning point in the 2024 election. Strong leadership sets a tone -- like a ripple effect. President Trump didnt panic and stood strong and so did the crowd. Instead of chaos, chants of 'USA' rang out."The shooting injured three people, including Trump, and killed local father and former fire chief Corey Comperatore.White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reflected on Comperatore's tragic death in a comment to Fox Digital, underscoring that the president "will never forget Corey and his beautiful family.""One year ago in Butler, Pennsylvania, we tragically lost an American hero, Corey Comperatore, who selflessly laid down his life to protect those around him," she said. "President Trump will never forget Corey and his beautiful family. On that dark day, God spared President Trumps life by a miraculous millimeter. Now one year later, President Trump is standing stronger than ever as he continues to fight, fight, fight for the American people."Comperatore's widow, Helen, spoke to Fox News in an emotional interview about her husband's death earlier in July, demanding accountability from the Secret Service over how a gunman was able to fire off shots without intervention."We were all sitting ducks that day," Helen Comperatore told Fox News. "Our blood is all over their hands. I am angry. I lost the love of my life. They screwed up."TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AFTERMATH, REACTIONS FROM INNER CIRCLE REVEALED IN NEW BOOK"Why Butler? Why was that such a failure? Why weren't they paying attention? Why did they think that that roof didn't need covered?" she asked. "I want to sit down and talk to them. I have the right to. They need to listen to me."McCormick remembered Comperatore as a heroic dad and husband who died protecting his family."Corey Comperatorea Pennsylvanian, volunteer firefighter, and fatherwas sitting behind me. He died shielding his family. Im remembering Corey and praying for the Comperatore family on this one-year anniversary," the Republican Senator said.Longtime political reporter Salena Zito published a book in July detailing her recollections of the day, and said in an interview earlier this month with Fox Digital that she refused to duck for cover as gunshots rang out."I didn't get down," Zito said in an interview ahead of the book's release Tuesday. "There was this inner voice that told me, You have a job to do, continue doing it."Zito was located near the stage and the Secret Service's secure permitter when the gunman opened fire on Trump and the crowds."Time has these layers that happen," Zito added while reflecting on the 2024 events. "It's not remembering them. It's experiencing them. It's this interesting thing that happens. I see a sea of navy blue suits immediately surround him. Then, I hear the second four shots. I still didn't get down."TRUMP TELLS FOX NOTICIAS HE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR THE EXPLANATION BEHIND ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTSMcCormick told Fox Digital that recent politically-motivated attacks, including the targeted attacks and murder of a Minnesota state lawmaker in June, need to end and be replaced with civility that protects democracy."From the attempts on President Trump's life, to arson at the Pennsylvania Governors Residence, to the murder of Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, these politically-motivated attacks are an assault on democracy itself. Regardless of party, we must choose to engage civilly. This anniversary serves as a solemn reminder that for our country, violence borne from political disagreement is never the answer," he said.Following the assassination attempt, Trump quickly was whisked away from the rally to receive medical attention. Just a day later, June 14, 2024, the Republican National Convention was set to kick off in Milwaukee, with concern initially mounting that Trump might not be able to attend the convention due to the injury. The president, however, made his public return in Milwaukee that week while wearing a bandage over his ear. Trump officially accepted the party's nomination for him to serve as president, and delivered a 93-minute speech that was underscored by how the attempt on his life changed him.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"There was blood pouring everywhere, and yet, in a certain way I felt very safe, because I had God on my side," Trump told the crowds of supporters on the final night of the RNC. "The amazing thing is that prior to the shot, if I had NOT moved my head at the very last instant, the assassins bullet would have perfectly hit its mark, and I would not be with you tonight."Fox News Digital's Deirdre Heavey contributed to this report.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 5 Visualizações 0 AnteriorFaça Login para curtir, compartilhar e comentar!

Fox News Digital has reached out to the Aurora Police Department for comment.Court documents reveal the chilling digital footprint that James allegedly left behind, including his alleged use of a secret email account to search for undetectable poisons and purchase arsenic and cyanide.Authorities also allege he watched YouTube videos about how to kill without leaving a trace. The plot thickened as James alleged affair came to light with Karin Cain, a Texas orthodontist. Emails between the two, obtained through search warrants, revealed intimate conversations and planned trips.Authorities said James appeared to want to deliberately conceal his relationship with Karin, using a secret email address, jimandwaffles@gmail.com, which he created on Feb. 27, 2023, to communicate with Karin. His secret email account was not found on his phone, laptop or Angelas phone it was only accessed on the clinic computer in dental exam room No. 9, authorities said. After allegedly learning something had happened to Angela, Karin wrote:"Im so sorry for what youre going through I wish I was helping you and not pulling you away," she wrote to James. "I want to be there for you, but I dont want to mix in with your family and friends and pretend to be only a friend when theres something more."Emails were described by investigators as "intimate in nature and contained sexually explicit conversations."The planned trips coincided as Angela was severely ill in the hospital, court documents reveal.Prosecutors suggest James wanted to eliminate his wife, with whom he shared six children, and start a new life with Cain.Angela and James' marriage was on the rocks at the time of her death. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMichael J. Fox made 'Back to the Future' co-star feel like she 'had a high school boyfriend'Great Scott Its been 40 years since "Back to the Future" blasted its way onto the big screen and became a beloved 80s classic. The film, which premiered on July 3, 1985, starred Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Dr. "Doc" Emmett Brown. It tells the tale of a teen who befriends a maverick scientist and, thanks to his invention, accidentally goes back in time to 1955.It was Claudia Wells first film as an actress. She played McFlys love interest, Jennifer Parker.1980S CHILD STAR TALKS 'GOONIES' SEQUEL, MUSIC CAREER, AND WHY AI THREATENS HOLLYWOOD'S MAGIC"Michael J. Fox was incredibly nice and easy-going [with me]," Wells recalled to Fox News Digital. "I loved feeling like I had a high school boyfriend whenever we were filming together. It was really wonderful.""He was funny, relaxed, very upbeat and, as everyone knows, such a genius with his acting," she gushed. "I remember us sitting in the BMW in the driveway of the last scene we were in. During breaks, he would play rock music. Since I grew up listening to opera, symphonies and Simon & Garfunkel, it was really the first time that I got to feel like a teenager, listening to teenager music.""I was nervous because it was the first time I was in an actual movie, not just television," Wells admitted. "But once the camera started rolling it was a breeze for me and very second nature [And] Jennifer Parker and I were very similar."The 59-year-old noted it was Lloyd who left her speechless on set."I was so surprised at how quiet Christopher Lloyd is," she said. "But I love that about him because when he speaks, its because he really has something to say. It makes me and others really want to listen."Looking back, Wells described how she struggled to shake off the jitters.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER"I remember writing a long list of questions about the time sequence and why Jennifer was the same after all the things that changed from Marty being in 1955," Wells recalled. "I had lots and lots of questions about the time continuum. I was asking [screenwriter] Bob Gale all of these questions over the phone, prior to filming.""Bob [finally] said, Claudia, you think too much just be Jennifer," said Wells. "Bob Zemeckis was an extraordinary director. Hes very specific about how he directs, and thats one of the reasons I think that the movie turned out so amazingly."Wells continues to have fond memories of bringing the comedy to life."I loved making the film!" she said. "Bob Gale and I forged a great friendship from the beginning of me being cast to now. Its astounding to me that its already 40 years since the film came out. My life is forever changed for the better, because I got to be Jennifer Parker [And] what really makes me smile daily is how the movie has brought such a shared love to people throughout the world."The films success resulted in a trilogy, but Wells reluctantly turned down the offer to reprise her role. Elisabeth Shue went on to replace her in "Back to the Future II" (1989) and "Back to the Future III" (1990). At the time, Wells' mother, who was also her manager, was dying from breast cancer.WATCH: FAMILY TIES STAR MEREDITH BAXTER TALKS WORKING WITH MICHAEL J. FOX"I know she wanted me to continue doing the part and didnt agree with my decision," Wells previously told Fox News Digital. "But I was just not in a place emotionally where I could handle any more than what I was already handling. I wanted my mother to be supported and cared for. I left acting altogether, but I knew I would come back. I never felt it was over."Wells took a break from acting in 1986 and went on to open a menswear shop, Armani Wells, in Studio City, California.Back in 2021, Wells shared her favorite theory about her character."I had a business lunch [with a friend]," she told Fox News Digital at the time. "We were talking about Back to the Future and how Elisabeth Shue later became Jennifer. He said, You want to know why I really think you were Jennifer in the first movie and Elisabeth in the sequels? I thought he was going to say it was because my mom was so sick at the time.""He said, Forgive me, maybe Im too into this film, but when Marty went to the past, Doc Brown kept warning him, Be very careful about what you do, because youre going to change the future. If you do anything by mistake, it will affect someones life," Wells shared."He said, "I think Marty must have done something that changed Jennifer Parkers parents. One of the parents changed. So instead of your parents meeting, it was Elisabeth Shues parents who met, where one parent was different. And therefore, they gave birth to Elisabeth Shues version of Jennifer, not yours. And when he went into the present, everyone thought it was just normal because no one realized all the changes Marty made."LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS"I thought that theory was so cool," said Wells. "Remember, Doc Brown kept warning Marty, Dont do any weird moves because youre going to alter the future. And I think thats why you see me in the first film, but not in the sequels. Its wild."0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 22 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBeing single isnt a sin. The Bible says so and more Christians should agreeWhen I first walked away from years of voting Democrat and being atheist, I was desperate for voices to speak to the unexpected and organic transformation I was undergoing. One of the first voices I found was a Christian podcaster and commentator who espouses the goal of a great reconciliation between men and women, the ending of the seemingly never-ending battle of the sexes. His voice and mission resonated with me as I stepped away from the incoherence of liberalism and back toward God. It made sense to me that the answers we seek wouldnt be found in pointing fingers at the opposite gender, yet I rather quickly found that all too often even among the Christian conservative right and especially online that's precisely what we do. This podcasters proposed great reconciliation between men and women both of us working together to do our part to lay down arms and heal generations-old battle scars truly seemed a breath of fresh air. So, you can imagine my surprise when several months later I read a post from him claiming women who are unmarried and childless past age 30 have lived in willful rebellion against Gods design. Leaving aside the fact that, by all accounts, he himself is in his 40s, unmarried, and childless, this is a perversion of Gods word to us one that we see too frequently among the recent resurgence of "trad" accounts run by people (often Christians) who believe in traditional values, masculine men, feminine women, and who rail against the degeneracy of the modern West. CATHOLICISM SEES MAJOR RESURGENCE AMONG GEN Z, WITH YOUNG MEN LEADING THE REVIVALThese are all aspirational ideals and perhaps a much-needed balm in the backwards chaos of the modern era, an era in which no small number of people (including a sitting Supreme Court justice) stumble incoherently when asked, "what is a woman?", an era in which even those brave enough and sane enough to define "woman" biologically often have a challenging time articulating what a woman is spiritually and how her role in the home and in the world might be fundamentally different from a mans. In such a state of confusion, with men and women seemingly all but interchangeable, with birth and marriage rates plummeting, and divorce and suicide rates rising, its no wonder theres a growing sect of people who yearn to revolt against the modern world. I myself would identify as a woman with traditional values, and although Im not yet homesteading on a farm knee-deep in toddlers and sourdough starter I strive to be a feminine woman. Theres nothing wrong with traditionalism or with exalting families or worrying about the declining birth rates in the West. But traditionalism without God is dead. And far too often in the "trad" circle, traditionalism supersedes God.AMERICA IS REDISCOVERING ITS SOUL AND REVIVING THE SACREDThere is nothing in the Bible suggesting singleness is a scourge, a necessarily transitory state, or something you must suffer through in order to get to the "real gift" of marriage. In Gods eyes, singleness is not a second-class state even for a woman, even past 30. According to Paul (a man with a horrible past who went on to become one of the greatest examples of Christianity and incidentally remained single), singleness is a gift. As he points out in 1 Corinthians 7, its better to remain single if you can commit to celibacy. Most people cannot or will not commit themselves to thisand marriage is also good for those people. But singleness (meaning, in this case, the state of being both unmarried and celibate) is no less good. Paul goes on to call men with wives to "live as though they had none" (1 Corinthians 7:29), which isnt an encouragement to neglect ones spouse but rather to focus oneself on Jesus in the same manner that a single person can. Unmarried people are able to devote themselves wholly to God. There is no spouse or children demanding their time. Spouses and children are good and obligations to themapproached correctlycan sanctify you and bring you closer to God. But so too can singleness. BIBLICAL FORMULA FOR CHOOSING SPOUSE OFFERS LESSONS THAT MODERN DATING OVERLOOKSAs John Piper points out in a sermon titled, "Single in Christ; A Name Better than Sons and Daughters," "single people in Christ have zero disadvantage in bearing children for God, and may in some ways have a great advantage." Single people often have more time, money, and other resources to devote to advancing Gods kingdom on earth. Married people with families necessarily put their time and resources to the family. Single people or "those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven" are good in Jesus eyes (Matthew 19:11-12). He promises them "a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; [He] will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever" (Isaiah 56:4-5).Indeed, throughout the gospel, Jesus who came to establish a family of believers emphasizes spiritual family over biological. When a woman exclaims that Jesus mother is blessed for bearing him, he responds that those who hear God and obey are more blessed (Luke 11:27-28). Motherhood sanctifies, but women who cannot or will not be biological mothers are no less sanctified; likewise for women who may never be wives.Just look at C.S. Lewis Sarah Smith in "The Great Divorce:" "Every young man or boy that met her became her son Every girl that met her was her daughter. Her motherhood was of a different kind. Those on whom it fell went back to their natural parents loving them more."Clearly, spiritual parenthood is not reserved only for a blessed few or only for women under 30. Not all of us will be married by a certain age or at all, but all of us are called to be spiritual mothers and fathers. That can be done in singleness. That can be done by choosing Christ right where we are now, for whether or not anyone else ever chooses us the one who matters most already has.CHILDREN'S AUTHOR SAYS HIS FAITH-BASED BOOKS ARE A WAY TO FIGHT THE CULTURE WAR: 'KIDS ARE ON THE FRONTLINE'Oftentimes, well-meaning folks will point to Genesis 2:18 and the fact that its "not good for man to be alone" as if thats condemnation of singleness. Its true that God gave Adam his Eve, when he saw that he was lonely. Its also true that God sent Jesus no wife, and that was also good. Jesusthe new Adam and the perfect man, the Son of God knows firsthand the full gamut of human emotions and is no stranger to loneliness, and yet he never had a wife. It is possible for us too to know deep and profound loneliness and perhaps never get married or get married much later. Its also worth noting that God gave Eve to Adam in marriage before sin entered the world which isnt to say that marriage after the fall is sinful but rather that the world after the fall is sinful, and in our fallen state, not everyone will find a suitable spouse before the age of thirty or ever. Perhaps most significant of all: if youre saved, you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you and so, while you may feel at times desperately lonely, you are never truly alone (John 14:16).CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONNone of the above is meant to excuse being single due to vanity, pride or worldly desires. If youre unmarried because youve been putting yourself first and not God, thats not good, and its probably not blessed. But only you and the Lord know if thats the cause for your situation; random men on X (formerly Twitter) who are unmarried themselves dont and frankly, theyd do well to account for their own singleness before accounting for others. Im not dismissing very valid concerns over declining marriage and family rates. Particularly here in the states, strong families are foundational to our freedom and American way of life. This is a crisis not to be ignored. But nor are we to remove God from the crisis. We are not to pass judgment when we have planks in our own eyes. We are not to pretend we know better than him or to add addendums to his unchanging word. We are not to add arbitrary, secular cut-offs of 30 years when no such specifications exist in the Bible, nor are we to scapegoat women for all our problems when Gods command for marriage and for sex is the same for men and women both. The world may go easier on unmarried, promiscuous men. God does not. And biological realities exist, of course, and theyre different for women than they are men. But theres a difference between acknowledging biological realities and putting words in Gods mouth. Singleness isnt a curse, a sin, or a failure. In the eyes of the world, it might be especially for women. But not in the eyes of God.If were ever to right this sinking ship in which we find ourselves all jostled about, itll be by pointing to God instead of pointing fingers at each other. Marriage is good. But its not required for repentance, salvation or to be in obedience to him. And the only real and lasting marriage is the one we find in him.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 13 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMIsrael, Hamas talks drag as aid group chair tells UN to stop acting like the mafiaNegotiations to secure a 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas seem to have hit an impasse amid hopes from top mediators, including President Donald Trumps Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, that a deal can be reached soon. There are several issues that remain major hurdles in securing lasting peace in the Gaza Strip and the return of all the hostages, according to multiple sources that Fox News Digital has spoken with. But one of the top sticking points has reportedly been the question of aid to the Palestinians and who exactly should be distributing the direly needed support.TRUMP SAYS 'VERY CLOSE' TO SECURING ISRAEL, HAMAS CEASEFIRE, RETURNING HOSTAGES"This is a complex political environment right in the middle of a ceasefire negotiation," Chairman for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) Rev. Johnnie Moore told Fox News Digital. "I understand on the first night of the ceasefire negotiation, one of the primary issues that Hamas and their negotiators brought up was they wanted to see the elimination of the GHF."Which ought to tell you something," he continued. "Hamas didn't want 70 million meals of food in the Gaza Strip for the people they allege they care about this is absurd."Following Israels near-three-month blockade on aid to the Gaza Strip, the GHF a U.S. and Israeli-backed aid mechanism was, in late May, permitted to initiate food delivery with the assistance of the Israel Defense Force (IDF) as a means to ensure food trucks were not overrun and ransacked by the Hamas terrorist group. The GHF, which has faced stiff backlash for its divergence from traditional humanitarian assistance methods, has argued that its convoys have been far better secured from Hamas attacks than United Nations delivery trucks, and therefore ensured the aid has actually ended up in the hands of Palestinian civilians.Hamas has long used humanitarian assistance as a means of control over Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and as a tool for recruitment, going so far as to threaten starving civilians from acceptingGHF food aid for their families in late May, telling them they "will pay the price, and we will take the necessary measures."The GHF has delivered some 70 million meals to between 800,000 and 1 million Palestinians, Moore confirmed. But reports have repeatedly surfaced claiming that Palestinians flocking to the four distribution sites have faced insurmountable dangers and on Friday the U.N. Human Rights Office said it believed nearly 800 people had been killed near aid sites.US-BACKED GAZA AID GROUP LAUNCHES BOLD NEW SYSTEM TO DELIVER FOOD DIRECTLY TO FAMILIESThe office based in Geneva said it had recorded some 615 people were killed in the vicinity of GHF sites and 183 near other aid convoys, and according to spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani, the majority of these deaths were caused by "gunshot injuries."The U.N. did not immediately respond to Fox News Digitals questions about whether it was the IDF or Hamas that was on the firing end of the gun, and whether these deaths occurred as a direct result of civilians seeking aid, chaotic eruptions that ensued outside of distribution centers, or if these were deaths occurred amid the continued war as civilians were in the process of heading to distributions centers. The IDF earlier this month said that following an investigation into civilian casualties reported at aid distribution sites, it had issued new orders to its South Command based on "lessons learned."The GHF this week announced a second phase in its aid delivery system that could lower the threats civilians face when seeking aid, by distributing supplies directly through community leaders across Gaza meaning there could be less travel involved for civilians in need. But the GHF also fervently rejects the U.N. death toll figures and Moore maintains that no deaths have occurred on or near their distribution sites."The U.N. is lying. They're just lying. They're taking statistics that originate from the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in Gaza, and they're sharing those statistics without any scrutiny at all," Moore told Fox News Digital.ISRAEL RELEASES CONVERSATIONS WITH GAZA RESIDENTS AMID CRITICISMS OF AID DELIVERY SYSTEM"We know Hamas has routinely lied about civilian death numbers from the beginning of this conflict. We know that Hamas doesn't distinguish between the death of Hamas militants and between civilians, andwe know that from the very beginning of the operation of GHF, Hamas made an intentional decision that the best way to see the end of GHF was to say that our sites were these death traps," he added. The U.N., on the other hand, maintains that it vets its own informants and obtains evidence through "various reliable sources, including medical, human rights and humanitarian organizations."But critics of the U.N. continue to question its trustworthiness following the apparent discovery of at least nine employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), who were reportedly involved in the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel, which saw the death of some 1,200 Israelis and the abductions of another 250 50 of whom remain hostage.Though Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General, terminated those employees in October 2024, there remains open hostility between the U.N. agency and Israel, and now the GHF.Lazzarini, along with more than 200 other humanitarian organizations, has also personally called for the removal of the GHF from the Gaza Strip.Moore accused the U.N. of employing "mafia"-like tactics by ganging up on the aid program despite the success it has seen by supplying millions of meals.COULD PRIVATE SECURITY CONTRACTORS BE THE 'DAY AFTER' SOLUTION IN GAZA?"We want to work with these organizations, but instead of engaging with us, what they've been doing is they've been working behind the scenes to sabotage us," Moore said. "There's no other way to describe it. The U.N. is behaving like a mafia."While the U.N. has not officially called for the removal of the GHF, it has criticized the organizations "militarized" approach to delivering aid, which is not viewed as acceptable by the Sphere Association, which sets the international standards for humanitarian aid. Both the GHF and the U.N. have said more aid is not only needed, but it would help eliminate the intense security risks affiliated with obtaining humanitarian supplies."I have been very clear that the U.N. cannot do humanitarian work alone in Gaza, we need partners," U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric told Fox News Digital. "All that we ask is that these partners operate under the globally accepted humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence."Though both sides ultimately have the same goal, there appears to be an increasing impasse over how to provide stable aid for Palestinians who continue to live in extremely dire situations."My mission, and the mission of GHF is really, really simple. It's just to feed people. And it should not be as controversial as it has been," Moore said. "My interest has always been in the in the day after. We have to do both.""We have to plan for the day after, and we have to address the emergency, and it's time for the United Nations to stop playing political games," he continued. "We can solve the problems together."But we have to make the decision to work together. GHF has already made that decision, and we've reiterated again and again and again that we want to work with the international community to reach these people. The decision is now theirs, and we'll be here waiting, our hand extended," Moore said.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 13 Visualizações 0 Anterior

Theres also evidence that the younger the cohort, the more conservative they are becoming."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE"While the political gender gap is real, with the youngest voting group, those of college age 18-21 years old, recent polls like the Yale Youth Poll shows that not only are men R+19, but young women are R+4," Kolvet added. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJournalist Salena Zito reveals what Trump supporters meant when they turned on the cameras at the ButlerWhen President Donald Trump entered his vehicle, surrounded by U.S. Secret Service agents, in the moments following his attempted assassination at his Butler, Pennsylvania, campaign rally one year ago, the crowd traded their "USA" chants for expletives as they directed their anger toward the media gathered on the press riser.Veteran political reporter Salena Zito spoke with Fox News Digital ahead of the release of her new book, "Butler: The Untold Story of the Near Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America's Heartland." Zito found herself inside the Secret Service's secure perimeter, just steps away from Trump, when a gunman unleashed gunfire on the crowd, one year ago."It wasn't directed at the press," Zito said of the impassioned Trump supporters who turned to face the media once Trump was out of sight. "It was directed at the cameras, letting the country know that this is unacceptable, and our country is in peril, and we need to be strong about it."Zito, who has built her career telling real stories from the American heartland, said she spoke with the Trump supporters who can be seen shouting at the camera in the video played around the world.VETERAN POLITICAL REPORTER REVEALS WHAT THE MEDIA MISSED ABOUT TRUMP'S APPEAL TO AMERICANS IN 2024"They confirmed that. They said, 'We weren't blaming the press. We were blaming everything that led to this in our country, and we were mad about that, and we wanted to show defiance to that,'" Zito said.JOURNALIST WHO REFUSED TO DUCK DURING TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT REFLECTS ON BUTLER RALLY IN NEW BOOKFox News confirmed ahead of the one-year anniversary of Trump's first attempted assassination that six Secret Service agents were suspended without pay after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at Trump during a rally in western Pennsylvania last summer.Supervisors and line-level agents were suspended in February, ranging from 10 to 42 days without pay, the Secret Service confirmed to Fox News.Speaking with Fox News Digital following initial reports about the agents' suspension, Zito said it was "well warranted" for those making logistical decisions to be suspended."I will say unequivocally that the men and women that were taking care of President Trump that day, that were in his detail and in that buffer, were on top of everything," Zito said. "Those men and women were doing their jobs right when they put themselves in the line of fire."Zito, who refused to get down when she first heard the shots, said Trump was "surrounded in a sea of blue.""They put him in a protective stance, and they put their lives on the line," Zito said. "Nothing should be taken away from that bravery in that moment. Those field officers were heroes that day."Trump recovered from his near assassination with little more than a bullet graze to the ear, thanks to the immigration chart he was turning his head to face. One rally attendee, firefighter Corey Comperatore, was killed, and two others were critically injured by Crooks' gunshots. In the moments following the gunfire, Zito said what she saw next was "really quite remarkable.""People left there pretty orderly. There wasn't a rush. There wasn't a stampede. You saw the medics taking care of the people that had fallen [or] were injured. But you mostly saw people getting each other out and across the field," Zito explained.Zito said it was "amazing" to see "how orderly people left." An hour later, when she returned to the large parking lot, they hadn't let one car go, so there were thousands of Trump supporters gathered together."These people are out of their cars, they're sharing water, they're hugging each other, they're making sure they're okay, they're sharing food. They're just talking. I really was struck by their comportment in that moment," Zito said.Zito's book takes readers back to July 13, 2024, when she was mere steps away from Trump when shots were fired. She is a political reporter for the Washington Examiner, a special contributor for the Washington Post and has been a columnist for the New York Post.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 22 Visualizações 0 Anterior
