WWW.FOXNEWS.COMAOC should be sued 'into bankruptcy' over latest attack on Trump, stunned critics seetheNew York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being accused of defaming President Donald Trump by calling him a "rapist" on social media amid controversy over the Department of Justice's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. The far-left Democrat, who has traded barbs with Trump repeatedly across both of their political careers, weighed in on the current controversy surrounding disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his New York City jail cell in 2019 after facing federal charges related to child sex trafficking."Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?" Ocasio-Cortez posted to X on Friday. She appeared to be referencing the 2023 civil trial leveled against Trump by writer E. Jean Carroll. A jury found Trump liable of sexual assault, but not of rape, which critics of Ocasio-Cortez repeatedly cited in their condemnation of her use of the word "rapist."The comments came after the Trump Department of Justice said there is no list of Epstein clients. But Trump supporters and legal experts alike warned AOC to lawyer up after dropping the "R" bomb."The President should sue AOC into bankruptcy. I realize shes trying to raise her profile but this is way way too far," legal analyst Phil Holloway posted to X on Saturday in response to a message from Ocasio-Cortez.'I'M JUST A SILLY GIRL': AOC FIRES BACK AFTER TRUMP CALLS HER 'STUPID'"Even under the ridiculously lenient standards of NY Times v. Sullivan, youve managed to incur defamation liability Wow," Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee posted to X in response."Why didnt you guys release the Epstein files over the last 4 years? Maybe you were too busy covering for Joe Biden or, could it have something to do with another former Democrat President?" Oklahoma Republican Sen. Markwayne Mullin posted in response to Ocasio-Cortez.APPEALS COURT DEALS TRUMP BLOW IN CHALLENGE TO E JEAN CARROLL VERDICT"Well we have grounds for a huge defamation suit here you idiot because Donald Trump has never been indicted for rape much less convicted," host of YourVoice America Bill Mitchell posted to X."You realize your X account doesn't carry the same protections to defame people that you enjoy during congressional proceedings?" another X account posted.Other critics of the lawmaker's message said the use of the word "rapist" comes on the heels of ABC paying Trump $15 million, which will go toward funding his presidential library, over George Stephanopoulos' claim in March of last year that Trump was found civilly liable of rape in the E. Jean Carroll case. Trump has repeatedly denied even knowing Carroll, claiming she made false allegations that he raped her in a department store dressing room in the 1990s in an effort to sell books decades later."Donald Trump has not been criminally convicted of being a rapist. This is defamatory. And I hope you are sued by Trump for this the same way George Stephanopoulos was sued and forced to pay Trump $15 million dollars. I hope you have millions ready for Trump, Porky. @AOC," Trump ally Laura Loomer posted in response to Ocasio-Cortez.'GONE TOO FAR': GOP LAWMAKERS RALLY AROUND TRUMP AFTER MUSK RAISES EPSTEIN ALLEGATIONS"This is gonna be fun. AOC is so dumb she just called Trump a rapist after ABC was forced to fork over $16 million in a settlement with Trump after George Stephanopoulos called him a rapist," Townhall contributor Rachel Alexander posted to X.In March 2024, Stephanopoulos asserted in a tense interview with Republican Rep. Nancy Mace that Trump was found "liable for rape" in a civil case. Stephanopoulos showed a clip of Mace discussing being a victim of rape before he asked her, "How do you square your endorsement of Donald Trump with the testimony we just saw?""You've endorsedDonald Trumpfor president. Judges and two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming the victim of that rape," Stephanopoulos said, alluding to the legal victory by Trump accuser E. Jean Carroll.AOC TAUNTS TOM HOMAN AFTER DOJ REFERRAL THREAT OVER DEPORTATIONS: 'COME FOR ME'Stephanopoulos repeated the claim on rape 10 times during the interview, Fox Digital previously reported, before Trump filed a defamation suit. ABC News and Stephanopoulos reached a settlement agreement with Trump's legal team ahead of his second inauguration, paying $15 million and announcing the network and anchor "regret" the comments made on air."Editor's Note: ABC News and George Stephanopoulos regret statements regarding President Donald J. Trump made during an interview by George Stephanopoulos with Rep. Nancy Mace on ABCs This Week on March 10, 2024," an editor's note in an article focused on the interview states.Other social media commenters defended Ocasio-Cortez's use of the word "rapist," arguing she did not use Trump's name in her post and that a defamation case was unlikely.Fox News Digital reached out to Ocasio-Cortez's office on Sunday for additional comment on the matter, but did not immediately receive a reply."AOC likes to play pretend like shes from the block, but in reality shes just a sad, miserable blockhead who is trying to over-compensate for her lack of self-confidence that has followed her for her entire life," White House communication director Steven Cheung said in comment provided to Fox News Digital on Sunday."Instead, she should get some serious help for her obvious and severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted her pea-sized brain," he added.0 Commentarii 0 Distribuiri 13 Views 0 previzualizare

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMNew technology helps robots see inside sealed boxesWhy would you want a robot to see inside a sealed box?Digging deeper beyond the initial creepy thought, a new breakthrough from MIT could soon let warehouse robots do something pretty remarkable. This high-tech wave technology can detect damage inside sealed cardboard boxes without ever opening them.Using millimeter wave (mmWave) imaging, the same type of signal used in Wi-Fi, the researchers developed a system called mmNorm. Theres nothing normal about this superpower. This technology allows robots to scan containers and generate accurate 3D models of the objects inside by analyzing how signals bounce back from hidden surfaces.Sign up for my FREE CyberGuy ReportGet my best tech tips, urgent security alerts and exclusive deals delivered straight to your inbox. Plus, youll get instant access to my Ultimate Scam Survival Guide free when you join myCYBERGUY.COM/NEWSLETTERNONINVASIVE BRAIN TECH AND AI MOVES ROBOTIC HAND WITH THOUGHTMillimeter waves are particularly effective at penetrating materials such as cardboard, plastic and even interior walls. When these waves hit an object inside a box, they reflect. The mmNorm system captures these reflections and feeds them into an algorithm that estimates the shape and direction of the surface of the hidden item.Unlike traditional radar systems, mmNorm accounts for a challenging property called specularity, which refers to the way radio waves bounce off shiny or angled surfaces, much like a mirror. By estimating the surface normal (the direction a surface is facing), the system's accuracy improves dramatically. The method combines reflections from multiple antennas that "vote" on the surface normal direction based on signal strength, improving the accuracy of the 3D reconstruction.WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)?What makes mmNorm different is its clever use of physics. Instead of ignoring reflections that bounce away from the radar (as most systems do), it captures them to infer the shape and orientation of hidden surfaces. Lead author Laura Dodds explained that the system doesn't just track where a signal comes from. It also analyzes the direction the surface is facing. To do this, the MIT team used a robotic arm equipped with a radar unit. As it moved around a sealed box, it gathered multiple measurements, building a detailed 3D picture of what was inside.During testing, mmNorm achieved 96% accuracy in reconstructing complex items, such as power drills and silverware. That's a big jump compared to the 78% accuracy offered by similar systems. In a warehouse setting, this means robotic arms could inspect the contents of packages moving down a conveyor belt without unpacking them.It also opens the door for humanoid robots to roam warehouses and assess packages for damage or missing parts in real time. However, the technology does not work well for objects hidden behind metal or very thick walls, which limits some applications.GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO BY CLICKING HEREBeyond warehouse automation, this technology opens the door to several other promising uses. In factory production lines, robots that detect damage inside boxes could inspect goods quickly and without opening packages, helping maintain high-quality standards. In assisted-living centers, the same approach might help ensure safety by checking the contents of containers without disturbing residents. Even in security screening, being able to see through sealed boxes could enhance threat detection without adding any strain on bandwidth since the system uses the same mmWave signals as existing technologies. The research team plans to further improve the resolution of mmNorm and boost its performance on less reflective objects, making it even more versatile for future applications. We may be entering an era where robots don't just move boxes, but they understand what's in them. MIT's mmNorm system offers a glimpse into the future of warehouse efficiency, safety and automation. And if robots can detect damage inside boxes without opening them, that might just change how everything gets shipped, sorted and delivered. Are we ready to trust machines to judge what's damaged and what's not without ever opening the box? WWW.FOXNEWS.COMFormer Dem advisor says he's 'almost speechless' at Mamdani's 'enraging' anti-cop comments, laments NYC crimeFormer Democratic Party advisor Dan Turrentine blasted New York democratic socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani for his recently resurfaced comments on law enforcement.Since he won the Democratic primary, Mamdani has faced blistering criticism from both Republicans and Democrats for his rhetoric, such as refusing to disavow the phrase "globalize the intifada," which many argue is a call for violence. Most recently, Mamdanis 2020 interview on the "Immigrantly" podcast went viral on social media. In the clip, Mamdani argued that if one looks at the history of the New York Police Department, "you can see that we have invested in a system that functions in many ways to punish poor Black and Brown people." He went on to claim that these officers are overstepping their proper roles, whether they are called in to handle a homeless person on a train or if somebody is "surviving, you know, going through domestic violence."Co-host Mark Halperin noted "the notion that police shouldn't be called in cases of domestic violence," and turned to Turrentine, also a co-host on the show, to ask, "What do you think of that? Is that something that's going to hurt him or not?"JAMES CARVILLE WARNS MAMDANI TO KEEP 'GLOBALIZE THE INTIFADA' PHRASE 'OUT YOUR MOUTHTurrentine, who worked under Hillary Clinton when she was a New York senator and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis when he was in the House of Representatives, shared his hope on The Morning Meeting podcast that the Democratic Party condemns this politician."I'm almost speechless. Like, that is so enraging," Turrentine said. "It's crazy. I hope it hurts him. Like, when I hear that, and I try to have an open mind, hope that whoever our next mayor is makes this city a great place. I live [here]. We have children here. New York City police officers put themselves in such harm's way. This city is full of crazy people on subways. I, our children go on it. The number of times that there are homeless people who are, like, out of their mind who come up to kids, who scream at them right near - to say the police are the [problem], I hope our party condemns him."AOC-BACKED SOCIALIST MAYORAL CANDIDATE BACKTRACKS AFTER CALLING TO 'DISMANTLE' POLICE IN 2020Turrentine lamented the mere prospect of how things would be "if Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and everybody cannot stand up for the NYPD after the progress they've made with crime the last few years," recalling how New York City went from a "hellhole" to being relatively stable, up until recently. On the podcast, former Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer, also a co-host, honed in on the domestic violence comments, mocking the idea that some sort of social worker is a better person to contact in such cases than a police officer. "I don't want someone to come in and ask them about their feelings. I want them to protect me," he said.He added, "Aside from all of the stuff that Dan rightly brought up, which I agree with, it doesn't pass the common sense test," he said. "If someone is being brutalized, attacked, you want someone who can protect you, stop them. And this just shows the stupidity that is being perpetrated on folks right now."Fox News Digital reached out to Mamdani's office and did not receive an immediate reply.0 Commentarii 0 Distribuiri 17 Views 0 previzualizare

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMThe 'tough cookies' of Butler, Pa., remain united, hopeful one year after Trump rally shootingNo one in Butler, Pa. population 13,000 ever imagined their quiet community would become the backdrop to an attempted presidential assassination. But on July 13, 2024, gunman Thomas Mathew Crooks opened fire at a rally for once and future President Donald Trump at the local farm showgrounds, a burst of violence that reverberated far beyond western Pennsylvania's rolling hills and changed the course of American history. One bullet grazed Trumps ear and could have ended his life had he tilted his head even slightly. In the months that followed, Republicans rallied fiercely behind him. Trump went on to win re-election in a wave of support, with backers, and Trump himself, saying God had spared him to save America.Residents and rally attendees are still stunned that their town became synonymous with the attack, and saddened that Butlers image as a peaceful farm community has been overshadowed by that dark day.FIRST RESPONDERS SIT DOWN WITH WIDOW OF FIREFIGHTER KILLED AT BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA TRUMP RALLY"For something like this to thrust Butler into the national and the international spotlight, it's very sad," J.D. Longo, mayor of Slippery Rock, told Fox News Digital."Its not what anybody in Butler or western Pennsylvania wants to be known for," Longo said. "This is a place where you can start a family if you want to, have a great life."But most of all, their hearts break for the family of the firefighter who lost his life when Crooks fired eight shots directed at Trump."Many of us hope that, despite the ugliness and the horror of that day and the obvious loss of life that occurred, by way of losing Corey Comperatore, that Butler County can be remembered more for the way in which we unified immediately following that moment and how we came to the aid and the defense of the Comperatore family and of the president."TRUMP REVEALS CRUCIAL, SPLIT-SECOND MOMENT THAT SAVED HIS LIFE DURING BUTLER ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTThere is pride in how Butler came together after the tragedy. But some can't forget why it had to."It definitely put us in a rough spot," said Zach Scherer, a Butler local who volunteered for multiple Trump campaigns. "There's some people here that think about this all the time.""We feel really bad for Butler," said Erin Autenreith of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, a longtime Trump campaign volunteer and rally-goer."Ive gone to the farm show for years," she added, referring to the annual event that draws families from across western Pennsylvania. She described one of her favorite attractions an area where cows walk in to be milked and a building next door that has vanilla milkshakes made from that milk. "It's just so wholesome. My husband likes the truck pull," she said."Its always been something we looked forward to, and now its tied to this."REPORT GIVES NEW DETAILS ON TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT SUSPECT'S 'DESCENT INTO MADNESS'The Butler Farm Show, which allowed the Trump campaign to use its property for the rally, is also attempting to shake the association with the shooting. Members of the media are not permitted to film on the property."Its put a stain on a really nice community," said Autenreith. "Its only 45 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. it's like you're transformed into, you know, a little bit like, I would say Iowa."Still, Butler residents say the shooting did not break the community. In the days and weeks after, they pulled together to support the Comperatore family and others affected by the violence.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"The general Pittsburgh area, we're pretty tough right here as the president would refer to as tough cookies," said Bob Crankovic.Lucie Roth, who had been seated just behind Trump at the Butler rally, said she didnt hesitate to return.
