The stability of our great nation depends on preventing political violence
History pivots on moments measured in millimeters and July 13, 2024, was no exception. On that summer afternoon in Pennsylvania, an assassins bullet struck President Donald Trump, tragically killed Corey Comperatore, and grievously wounded David Dutch and James Copenhaver. What could have been a catastrophic rupture in the trajectory of our country instead became the moment that inspired a nation and rallied an electorate. Bloodied but unbowed, President Trumps survival demonstrated the resilience that would define his path back to the White House and change the course of American history. But this was no random act of violence. It was an assault on the very foundation of our republicthe premise that Americans can disagree without destroying each other. That the ballot box, not a bullet, determines our leaders. As we commemorate the first anniversary of this defining moment, we do so with clear-eyed determination and steeled resolve. We honor the bravery of law enforcement officers, first responders, and medical personnel, whose swift actions on that day saved countless lives. We also unequivocally condemn political violence.TRUMP REVEALS CRUCIAL, SPLIT-SECOND MOMENT THAT SAVED HIS LIFE DURING BUTLER ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTBut acknowledgment without action is hollow. That is why we introduced a resolution to solemnly mark the one-year anniversary of the attempted assassination of President Trump. This resolution not only condemns the multiple attempts against the Presidents life, but also all those who incite violence against political officials. This resolution also honors the victims of the shooting.Political violence and divisive rhetoric targeting elected officials, regardless of party affiliation, contradict American values, undermine the democratic process, and endanger the lives of public servants. Recent violent attacks against Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Minnesota State House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman, and Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman are reprehensible and underscore that this is not a partisan problemit is a national crisis. In 2024 alone, the U.S. Capitol Police Threat Assessment Section investigated 9,474 threats and concerning statements directed at Members of Congress, their families, and staff. These are staggering statistics. In response, the Capitol Police recently launched a new Protective Intelligence Operations Center to better receive, process, and address this alarming volume of threats against Members of Congress. While this is a start in the right direction, we can and must do more to protect our members, families, staff, and all visitors on Capitol Hill.House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil's bipartisan efforts to fortify Capitol Hills security are a great start to resolving this safety problem. This effort is about more than protecting our elected officialsit's about preserving the institution itself.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONIn the wake of the day that nearly upended the free world, the Secret Service's "no fail" mission takes on renewed urgency. Thats why Congress enacted, and President Trump signed into law, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. This historic legislation provides over $1 billion in critical funding to the Secret Service for personnel, training facilities, and technology. It also allocates $300 million to reimburse state and local law enforcement for the costs associated with protecting any nongovernmental residence of the President. The Secret Service is the lead agency for events designated by the Secretary of Homeland Security as National Special Security Events. The 2028 Summer Olympics have already been designated as a National Special Security Event and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act allocates $1 billion dollars for security, planning, and other costs associated with the 2028 Games.Every political rally, every town hall, and every public gathering now carries the weight of that July afternoon. That day is a stark reminder that we must do everything we can to prevent political violence. The stability and future of our great nation are at stake.Rep. Mike Kelly, a Republican, represents Pennsylvanias 16th Congressional District and serves on the Ways and Means Committee, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Tax.

Butler one year later: Revisiting the historic assassination attempt against Donald Trump
Presidential candidate Donald Trump took the stage at a routine campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, exactly a year ago, on July 13, 2024, one of hundreds he'd appeared at since announcing his first presidential campaign in 2015.But this rally turned out unlike any other of his political career. As Trump stood at the podium, with supporters holding signs that said "Joe Biden, youre fired!" directly behind him, the president pointed to a chart detailing low illegal immigration numbers at the end of his first term and how theyd risen under the Biden administration."That chart's a couple of months old, and if you want to really see something that's sad, take a look at what happened," Trump said, halting as the sound of gunshots pierced the air.TRUMP REVEALS CRUCIAL, SPLIT-SECOND MOMENT THAT SAVED HIS LIFE DURING BUTLER ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTMoments later, Trump ducked, and Secret Service agents rushed to his side. More gunshots followed, and attendees fearfully screamed while Trump remained covered, waiting for the all-clear sign.Once given the green light, Secret Service personnel rose alongside Trump to escort him from the stage. But Trump didnt hide himself from his supporters. Instead, he emerged from the huddle, raised his fist high in the ai, and said "fight" three times, prompting the audience to erupt and chant "U-S-A!" as he exited.Ultimately, 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks fired eight bullets at Trump from a rooftop during the rally, with a bullet grazing Trumps ear. The gunman also killed Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old firefighter, father and husband attending the rally, and injured two others.A Secret Service sniper killed Crooks during the shotting, and an FBI investigation remains in progress. No motive has been determined for why Crooks conducted the attack.Classmates of Crooks have described Crooks as a "loner" subjected to bullying, and the FBI told reporters in August 2024 that Crooks likely suffered from an undiagnosed disorder.FIRST RESPONDERS SIT DOWN WITH WIDOW OF FIREFIGHTER KILLED AT BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, TRUMP RALLY"It was unforgettable," Trump said during an exclusive interview clip that aired Thursday on "My View with Lara Trump." "I didnt know exactly what was going on. I got a whack."People were screaming, and I got down quickly, fortunately, because I think they shot eight bullets."Trump's chief of staff Susie Wiles, who then served as Trump's campaign co-chair, said she initially believed Trump had been killed."You think the worst," Wiles said in an interview that dropped Wednesday with Miranda Devine on "Pod Force One." "You cannot its human you cant think otherwise. And when he stood up, I thought, Oh my gosh.'"Wiles recounted that, due to the immigration chart, Trump had just moved his head slightly at the time of the ambush, a key adjustment in Trump's posture as Crooks started to fire at him.TRUMP CHIEF OF STAFF SUSIE WILES RECOUNTS BUTLER ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT, THOUGHT PRESIDENT WAS DEAD AT FIRST"So, to have him ask for that chart, eight minutes in, and to have it come on the side that was opposite, caused him to look in a different direction and lift his head just a little because it was higher, and that just doesnt happen because it happened," she said."But it was a scary time, and it changed everything for us. The security became front and center, which it hadn't been before." The attack led to an overhaul of the Secret Service in the past year to prevent another attack like the one in Pennsylvania. The Department of Homeland Security issued a report in October 2024, which determined that if the Secret Service didn't enact reforms, another episode like the one in Pennsylvania was possible."The Secret Service does not perform at the elite levels needed to discharge its critical mission," the report said. "The Secret Service has become bureaucratic, complacent, and static even though risks have multiplied and technology has evolved."Since then, the Secret Service has ushered in several key reforms to bolster its security measures and suspended six of its agents due to their response.TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AFTERMATH, REACTIONS FROM INNER CIRCLE REVEALED IN NEW BOOKTrump spoke about the attempt on his life days later at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, wearing a bandage on his ear and telling audience members he was "not supposed to be here tonight." In response, the crowd started to chant back, "Yes you are!""Many people say it was a providential moment. Probably was," Trump said at the convention. "When I rose, surrounded by Secret Service, the crowd was confused because they thought I was dead. And there was great, great sorrow. I could see that on their faces."As I looked out, they didn't know I was looking out. They thought it was over. But I could see it. I wanted to do something to let them know I was OK. I raised my right arm, looked at the thousands and thousands of people that were breathlessly waiting and started shouting, Fight, fight, fight."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPToday, a painting depicting Trump's fist raised with blood smeared across his face stands in the White House's entrance hall.White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital Friday that "God spared President Trumps life by a miraculous millimeter.""Now one year later, President Trump is standing stronger than ever as he continues to fight, fight, fight for the American people," Leavitt said.

Journalist Salena Zito reveals what Trump supporters meant when they turned on the cameras at the Butler
When President Donald Trump entered his vehicle, surrounded by U.S. Secret Service agents, in the moments following his attempted assassination at his Butler, Pennsylvania, campaign rally one year ago, the crowd traded their "USA" chants for expletives as they directed their anger toward the media gathered on the press riser.Veteran political reporter Salena Zito spoke with Fox News Digital ahead of the release of her new book, "Butler: The Untold Story of the Near Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America's Heartland." Zito found herself inside the Secret Service's secure perimeter, just steps away from Trump, when a gunman unleashed gunfire on the crowd, one year ago."It wasn't directed at the press," Zito said of the impassioned Trump supporters who turned to face the media once Trump was out of sight. "It was directed at the cameras, letting the country know that this is unacceptable, and our country is in peril, and we need to be strong about it."Zito, who has built her career telling real stories from the American heartland, said she spoke with the Trump supporters who can be seen shouting at the camera in the video played around the world.VETERAN POLITICAL REPORTER REVEALS WHAT THE MEDIA MISSED ABOUT TRUMP'S APPEAL TO AMERICANS IN 2024"They confirmed that. They said, 'We weren't blaming the press. We were blaming everything that led to this in our country, and we were mad about that, and we wanted to show defiance to that,'" Zito said.JOURNALIST WHO REFUSED TO DUCK DURING TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT REFLECTS ON BUTLER RALLY IN NEW BOOKFox News confirmed ahead of the one-year anniversary of Trump's first attempted assassination that six Secret Service agents were suspended without pay after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at Trump during a rally in western Pennsylvania last summer.Supervisors and line-level agents were suspended in February, ranging from 10 to 42 days without pay, the Secret Service confirmed to Fox News.Speaking with Fox News Digital following initial reports about the agents' suspension, Zito said it was "well warranted" for those making logistical decisions to be suspended."I will say unequivocally that the men and women that were taking care of President Trump that day, that were in his detail and in that buffer, were on top of everything," Zito said. "Those men and women were doing their jobs right when they put themselves in the line of fire."Zito, who refused to get down when she first heard the shots, said Trump was "surrounded in a sea of blue.""They put him in a protective stance, and they put their lives on the line," Zito said. "Nothing should be taken away from that bravery in that moment. Those field officers were heroes that day."Trump recovered from his near assassination with little more than a bullet graze to the ear, thanks to the immigration chart he was turning his head to face. One rally attendee, firefighter Corey Comperatore, was killed, and two others were critically injured by Crooks' gunshots. In the moments following the gunfire, Zito said what she saw next was "really quite remarkable.""People left there pretty orderly. There wasn't a rush. There wasn't a stampede. You saw the medics taking care of the people that had fallen [or] were injured. But you mostly saw people getting each other out and across the field," Zito explained.Zito said it was "amazing" to see "how orderly people left." An hour later, when she returned to the large parking lot, they hadn't let one car go, so there were thousands of Trump supporters gathered together."These people are out of their cars, they're sharing water, they're hugging each other, they're making sure they're okay, they're sharing food. They're just talking. I really was struck by their comportment in that moment," Zito said.Zito's book takes readers back to July 13, 2024, when she was mere steps away from Trump when shots were fired. She is a political reporter for the Washington Examiner, a special contributor for the Washington Post and has been a columnist for the New York Post.

Theres also evidence that the younger the cohort, the more conservative they are becoming."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE"While the political gender gap is real, with the youngest voting group, those of college age 18-21 years old, recent polls like the Yale Youth Poll shows that not only are men R+19, but young women are R+4," Kolvet added. "So instead of this being a male-only trend, we believe theres evidence to indicate they are actually just a leading indicator of what is shaping up to be the biggest generational movement since Woodstock."

Israel, Hamas talks drag as aid group chair tells UN to stop acting like the mafia
Negotiations to secure a 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas seem to have hit an impasse amid hopes from top mediators, including President Donald Trumps Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, that a deal can be reached soon. There are several issues that remain major hurdles in securing lasting peace in the Gaza Strip and the return of all the hostages, according to multiple sources that Fox News Digital has spoken with. But one of the top sticking points has reportedly been the question of aid to the Palestinians and who exactly should be distributing the direly needed support.TRUMP SAYS 'VERY CLOSE' TO SECURING ISRAEL, HAMAS CEASEFIRE, RETURNING HOSTAGES"This is a complex political environment right in the middle of a ceasefire negotiation," Chairman for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) Rev. Johnnie Moore told Fox News Digital. "I understand on the first night of the ceasefire negotiation, one of the primary issues that Hamas and their negotiators brought up was they wanted to see the elimination of the GHF."Which ought to tell you something," he continued. "Hamas didn't want 70 million meals of food in the Gaza Strip for the people they allege they care about this is absurd."Following Israels near-three-month blockade on aid to the Gaza Strip, the GHF a U.S. and Israeli-backed aid mechanism was, in late May, permitted to initiate food delivery with the assistance of the Israel Defense Force (IDF) as a means to ensure food trucks were not overrun and ransacked by the Hamas terrorist group. The GHF, which has faced stiff backlash for its divergence from traditional humanitarian assistance methods, has argued that its convoys have been far better secured from Hamas attacks than United Nations delivery trucks, and therefore ensured the aid has actually ended up in the hands of Palestinian civilians.Hamas has long used humanitarian assistance as a means of control over Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and as a tool for recruitment, going so far as to threaten starving civilians from acceptingGHF food aid for their families in late May, telling them they "will pay the price, and we will take the necessary measures."The GHF has delivered some 70 million meals to between 800,000 and 1 million Palestinians, Moore confirmed. But reports have repeatedly surfaced claiming that Palestinians flocking to the four distribution sites have faced insurmountable dangers and on Friday the U.N. Human Rights Office said it believed nearly 800 people had been killed near aid sites.US-BACKED GAZA AID GROUP LAUNCHES BOLD NEW SYSTEM TO DELIVER FOOD DIRECTLY TO FAMILIESThe office based in Geneva said it had recorded some 615 people were killed in the vicinity of GHF sites and 183 near other aid convoys, and according to spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani, the majority of these deaths were caused by "gunshot injuries."The U.N. did not immediately respond to Fox News Digitals questions about whether it was the IDF or Hamas that was on the firing end of the gun, and whether these deaths occurred as a direct result of civilians seeking aid, chaotic eruptions that ensued outside of distribution centers, or if these were deaths occurred amid the continued war as civilians were in the process of heading to distributions centers. The IDF earlier this month said that following an investigation into civilian casualties reported at aid distribution sites, it had issued new orders to its South Command based on "lessons learned."The GHF this week announced a second phase in its aid delivery system that could lower the threats civilians face when seeking aid, by distributing supplies directly through community leaders across Gaza meaning there could be less travel involved for civilians in need. But the GHF also fervently rejects the U.N. death toll figures and Moore maintains that no deaths have occurred on or near their distribution sites."The U.N. is lying. They're just lying. They're taking statistics that originate from the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in Gaza, and they're sharing those statistics without any scrutiny at all," Moore told Fox News Digital.ISRAEL RELEASES CONVERSATIONS WITH GAZA RESIDENTS AMID CRITICISMS OF AID DELIVERY SYSTEM"We know Hamas has routinely lied about civilian death numbers from the beginning of this conflict. We know that Hamas doesn't distinguish between the death of Hamas militants and between civilians, andwe know that from the very beginning of the operation of GHF, Hamas made an intentional decision that the best way to see the end of GHF was to say that our sites were these death traps," he added. The U.N., on the other hand, maintains that it vets its own informants and obtains evidence through "various reliable sources, including medical, human rights and humanitarian organizations."But critics of the U.N. continue to question its trustworthiness following the apparent discovery of at least nine employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), who were reportedly involved in the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel, which saw the death of some 1,200 Israelis and the abductions of another 250 50 of whom remain hostage.Though Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General, terminated those employees in October 2024, there remains open hostility between the U.N. agency and Israel, and now the GHF.Lazzarini, along with more than 200 other humanitarian organizations, has also personally called for the removal of the GHF from the Gaza Strip.Moore accused the U.N. of employing "mafia"-like tactics by ganging up on the aid program despite the success it has seen by supplying millions of meals.COULD PRIVATE SECURITY CONTRACTORS BE THE 'DAY AFTER' SOLUTION IN GAZA?"We want to work with these organizations, but instead of engaging with us, what they've been doing is they've been working behind the scenes to sabotage us," Moore said. "There's no other way to describe it. The U.N. is behaving like a mafia."While the U.N. has not officially called for the removal of the GHF, it has criticized the organizations "militarized" approach to delivering aid, which is not viewed as acceptable by the Sphere Association, which sets the international standards for humanitarian aid. Both the GHF and the U.N. have said more aid is not only needed, but it would help eliminate the intense security risks affiliated with obtaining humanitarian supplies."I have been very clear that the U.N. cannot do humanitarian work alone in Gaza, we need partners," U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric told Fox News Digital. "All that we ask is that these partners operate under the globally accepted humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence."Though both sides ultimately have the same goal, there appears to be an increasing impasse over how to provide stable aid for Palestinians who continue to live in extremely dire situations."My mission, and the mission of GHF is really, really simple. It's just to feed people. And it should not be as controversial as it has been," Moore said. "My interest has always been in the in the day after. We have to do both.""We have to plan for the day after, and we have to address the emergency, and it's time for the United Nations to stop playing political games," he continued. "We can solve the problems together."But we have to make the decision to work together. GHF has already made that decision, and we've reiterated again and again and again that we want to work with the international community to reach these people. The decision is now theirs, and we'll be here waiting, our hand extended," Moore said.

Being single isnt a sin. The Bible says so and more Christians should agree
When I first walked away from years of voting Democrat and being atheist, I was desperate for voices to speak to the unexpected and organic transformation I was undergoing. One of the first voices I found was a Christian podcaster and commentator who espouses the goal of a great reconciliation between men and women, the ending of the seemingly never-ending battle of the sexes. His voice and mission resonated with me as I stepped away from the incoherence of liberalism and back toward God. It made sense to me that the answers we seek wouldnt be found in pointing fingers at the opposite gender, yet I rather quickly found that all too often even among the Christian conservative right and especially online that's precisely what we do. This podcasters proposed great reconciliation between men and women both of us working together to do our part to lay down arms and heal generations-old battle scars truly seemed a breath of fresh air. So, you can imagine my surprise when several months later I read a post from him claiming women who are unmarried and childless past age 30 have lived in willful rebellion against Gods design. Leaving aside the fact that, by all accounts, he himself is in his 40s, unmarried, and childless, this is a perversion of Gods word to us one that we see too frequently among the recent resurgence of "trad" accounts run by people (often Christians) who believe in traditional values, masculine men, feminine women, and who rail against the degeneracy of the modern West. CATHOLICISM SEES MAJOR RESURGENCE AMONG GEN Z, WITH YOUNG MEN LEADING THE REVIVALThese are all aspirational ideals and perhaps a much-needed balm in the backwards chaos of the modern era, an era in which no small number of people (including a sitting Supreme Court justice) stumble incoherently when asked, "what is a woman?", an era in which even those brave enough and sane enough to define "woman" biologically often have a challenging time articulating what a woman is spiritually and how her role in the home and in the world might be fundamentally different from a mans. In such a state of confusion, with men and women seemingly all but interchangeable, with birth and marriage rates plummeting, and divorce and suicide rates rising, its no wonder theres a growing sect of people who yearn to revolt against the modern world. I myself would identify as a woman with traditional values, and although Im not yet homesteading on a farm knee-deep in toddlers and sourdough starter I strive to be a feminine woman. Theres nothing wrong with traditionalism or with exalting families or worrying about the declining birth rates in the West. But traditionalism without God is dead. And far too often in the "trad" circle, traditionalism supersedes God.AMERICA IS REDISCOVERING ITS SOUL AND REVIVING THE SACREDThere is nothing in the Bible suggesting singleness is a scourge, a necessarily transitory state, or something you must suffer through in order to get to the "real gift" of marriage. In Gods eyes, singleness is not a second-class state even for a woman, even past 30. According to Paul (a man with a horrible past who went on to become one of the greatest examples of Christianity and incidentally remained single), singleness is a gift. As he points out in 1 Corinthians 7, its better to remain single if you can commit to celibacy. Most people cannot or will not commit themselves to thisand marriage is also good for those people. But singleness (meaning, in this case, the state of being both unmarried and celibate) is no less good. Paul goes on to call men with wives to "live as though they had none" (1 Corinthians 7:29), which isnt an encouragement to neglect ones spouse but rather to focus oneself on Jesus in the same manner that a single person can. Unmarried people are able to devote themselves wholly to God. There is no spouse or children demanding their time. Spouses and children are good and obligations to themapproached correctlycan sanctify you and bring you closer to God. But so too can singleness. BIBLICAL FORMULA FOR CHOOSING SPOUSE OFFERS LESSONS THAT MODERN DATING OVERLOOKSAs John Piper points out in a sermon titled, "Single in Christ; A Name Better than Sons and Daughters," "single people in Christ have zero disadvantage in bearing children for God, and may in some ways have a great advantage." Single people often have more time, money, and other resources to devote to advancing Gods kingdom on earth. Married people with families necessarily put their time and resources to the family. Single people or "those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven" are good in Jesus eyes (Matthew 19:11-12). He promises them "a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; [He] will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever" (Isaiah 56:4-5).Indeed, throughout the gospel, Jesus who came to establish a family of believers emphasizes spiritual family over biological. When a woman exclaims that Jesus mother is blessed for bearing him, he responds that those who hear God and obey are more blessed (Luke 11:27-28). Motherhood sanctifies, but women who cannot or will not be biological mothers are no less sanctified; likewise for women who may never be wives.Just look at C.S. Lewis Sarah Smith in "The Great Divorce:" "Every young man or boy that met her became her son Every girl that met her was her daughter. Her motherhood was of a different kind. Those on whom it fell went back to their natural parents loving them more."Clearly, spiritual parenthood is not reserved only for a blessed few or only for women under 30. Not all of us will be married by a certain age or at all, but all of us are called to be spiritual mothers and fathers. That can be done in singleness. That can be done by choosing Christ right where we are now, for whether or not anyone else ever chooses us the one who matters most already has.CHILDREN'S AUTHOR SAYS HIS FAITH-BASED BOOKS ARE A WAY TO FIGHT THE CULTURE WAR: 'KIDS ARE ON THE FRONTLINE'Oftentimes, well-meaning folks will point to Genesis 2:18 and the fact that its "not good for man to be alone" as if thats condemnation of singleness. Its true that God gave Adam his Eve, when he saw that he was lonely. Its also true that God sent Jesus no wife, and that was also good. Jesusthe new Adam and the perfect man, the Son of God knows firsthand the full gamut of human emotions and is no stranger to loneliness, and yet he never had a wife. It is possible for us too to know deep and profound loneliness and perhaps never get married or get married much later. Its also worth noting that God gave Eve to Adam in marriage before sin entered the world which isnt to say that marriage after the fall is sinful but rather that the world after the fall is sinful, and in our fallen state, not everyone will find a suitable spouse before the age of thirty or ever. Perhaps most significant of all: if youre saved, you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you and so, while you may feel at times desperately lonely, you are never truly alone (John 14:16).CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONNone of the above is meant to excuse being single due to vanity, pride or worldly desires. If youre unmarried because youve been putting yourself first and not God, thats not good, and its probably not blessed. But only you and the Lord know if thats the cause for your situation; random men on X (formerly Twitter) who are unmarried themselves dont and frankly, theyd do well to account for their own singleness before accounting for others. Im not dismissing very valid concerns over declining marriage and family rates. Particularly here in the states, strong families are foundational to our freedom and American way of life. This is a crisis not to be ignored. But nor are we to remove God from the crisis. We are not to pass judgment when we have planks in our own eyes. We are not to pretend we know better than him or to add addendums to his unchanging word. We are not to add arbitrary, secular cut-offs of 30 years when no such specifications exist in the Bible, nor are we to scapegoat women for all our problems when Gods command for marriage and for sex is the same for men and women both. The world may go easier on unmarried, promiscuous men. God does not. And biological realities exist, of course, and theyre different for women than they are men. But theres a difference between acknowledging biological realities and putting words in Gods mouth. Singleness isnt a curse, a sin, or a failure. In the eyes of the world, it might be especially for women. But not in the eyes of God.If were ever to right this sinking ship in which we find ourselves all jostled about, itll be by pointing to God instead of pointing fingers at each other. Marriage is good. But its not required for repentance, salvation or to be in obedience to him. And the only real and lasting marriage is the one we find in him.
