Michelle Obama frets young women are not allowed the unearned confidence young men have
Former First Lady Michelle Obama is tired of young women not being able to be as sure of themselves as young men are.During Wednesdays episode of her "IMO" podcast, which she co-hosts with her brother Craig Robinson, Obama spoke to "Seinfeld" and "Veep" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus about how she wishes younger women had the unbridled confidence that young men in their 30s have arguing that when women finally start feeling good about themselves, theyre older and less visible to society."We're always hedging, you know, because in the back of our minds, we weren't raised with the certainty of maleness that, you know kind of the confidence that young men in their 30s have, which they haven't earned. They just have it," she told the actress."You know, we don't start feeling that and owning that until our 50s and 60s, at a time when we start to be treated as invisible in society," Obama added.MICHELLE OBAMA SAYS SHE GREW UP GRATEFUL, BUT KIDS TODAY ARE LESS SOThe topic came up with Louis-Dreyfus mentioning how she has become friends with 87-year-old actress Jane Fonda in recent years and has marveled at her "extraordinary" life that isnt in the spotlight as much anymore."And I was so struck by the breadth of her life, the profundity she's done so many different things. And it got me thinking about, wow, there's so many women out there that are older I mean, at the time she was 85, I believe that are older that have had these extraordinary lives, and we're not hearing from them."Obama suggested this was a societal issue, replying, "We've talked about this a lot, how women, as we age, we get pushed out of the picture.""Yeah, its incredible," the "Seinfeld" actress replied.OBAMA ISNT COMING TO RESCUE DEMOCRATS IN DESPERATE NEED OF LEADERSHIP: NY TIMES COLUMNISTObama went on to say, now that shes older, she finally feels sure of herself and confident in her wisdom a mindset she said she couldnt experience when she was younger."Now that Im 60 this is really the first time in my life where I feel completely me, and I can absolutely embrace my wisdom," she said. "I mean, because I think we, as women, we spend most of our lives saying, Well, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. We qualify everything," "We apologize," Louis-Dreyfus interjected."We apologize. We don't want to put our opinions on the table because maybe we're wrong," Obama continued.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURESince the start of her podcast with Robinson, Obama has remained largely apolitical, choosing to focus more on lifestyle topics and questions about family and personal relationships. In a May episode with pop star Beyonc Knowles' mom, Tina Knowles, Obama urged parents to resist the urge to be friends with their kids as theyre growing up."And so many people are trying to be their kids friends, and they think that that makes you closer," Obama said. "But let me tell you, I was not my children's friend. I love them deeply. There was respect. And, you know, for those of you trying to be friends with your kids, our kids love us just as much as adults. In fact, the relationship, I think, is even closer because now theyve earned my friendship. Now we can be friends. Now, maybe you know something."In a late June episode with social psychologist and author Jonathan Haidt, Obama stressed the need for parents to limit their kids time on smartphones and social media."The bottom line is that we've got to get tougher. We've got to get more resilient for our kids. Because I know time and time again that a lot of parents do what's easy for them, you know, and not necessarily what's best for the kid," she continued.

Trump says Brennan, Comey 'crooked as hell' amid FBI probe, may have to 'pay the price'
President Donald Trump reacted Wednesday to former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey reportedly being under criminal investigation for potential wrongdoing related to the TrumpRussia probe.Fox News Digital first reported about the probe, which is also evaluating whether Brennan allegedly made false statements to Congress.During a meeting with African leaders in the State Room of the White House on Wednesday, Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked the president for his response to the investigation."Do you want to see these two guys behind bars?" Doocy asked the president.FBI LAUNCHES CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS OF JOHN BRENNAN, JAMES COMEY: DOJ SOURCES"Well, I know nothing about it other than what I read today," Trump said. "But I will tell you, I think they're very dishonest people. I think they're crooked as hell. And, maybe they have to pay a price for that.""I believe they are truly bad people and dishonest people," the president added. "So whatever happens, happens."Justice Department sources told Fox News Digital that CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan to FBI Director Kash Patel for potential prosecution. The sources said that Ratcliffe's referral was received and told Fox News Digital that a criminal investigation into Brennan was opened and is underway. DOJ sources declined to provide further details. It is unclear, at this point, if the investigation spans beyond his alleged false statements to Congress. As for Comey, DOJ sources told Fox News Digital that an investigation into the former director is underway, but could not share details of what specifically is being probed.LISA BOOTHE POINTS TO 'CLEAR EXAMPLE' OF COMEY, BRENNAN'S 'COLLUSION AND CORRUPTION'The full scope of the criminal investigations into Brennan and Comey is unclear, but two sources described the FBI's view of the duo's interactions as a "conspiracy," which could open up a wide range of potential prosecutorial options. The FBI and CIA declined to comment.Neither Brennan nor Comey immediately responded to Fox News Digitals request for comment. The Brennan investigation comes after Ratcliffe last week declassified a "lessons learned" review of the creation of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA). The 2017 ICA alleged Russia sought to influence the 2016 presidential election to help then-candidate Donald Trump. But the review found that the process of the ICA's creation was rushed with "procedural anomalies," and that officials diverted from intelligence standards. It also determined that the "decision by agency heads to include the Steele Dossier in the ICA ran counter to fundamental tradecraft principles and ultimately undermined the credibility of a key judgment."The dossier an anti-Trump document filled with unverified and wholly inaccurate claims that was commissioned by Fusion GPS and paid for by Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign and the DNC has been widely discredited. Last week's review marks the first time career CIA officials have acknowledged politicization of the process by which the ICA was written, particularly by Obama-era political appointees.Trump has long condemned both Brennan and Comey for their involvement in the 2016 intelligence assessments concerning Russian interference in the U.S. election.Trump has argued that Brennan and Comey politicized intelligence to undermine his presidency, deeming the investigation the "Russia hoax" and a "rigged witch hunt" that damaged U.S. relations with Russia. The investigation was taken over by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who ultimately concluded there was insufficient evidence of a criminal conspiracy between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.During Trump's first term, the Justice Department tapped another special counsel, John Durham, to investigate the FBIs potential mishandling of the "Crossfire Hurricane" probe into alleged Trump-Russia connections. The probe, which included examining the role of the Steele dossier, resulted in criminal charges against three lower-level FBI officials. Although Durham uncovered serious missteps by the bureau, he determined there was no illegal conduct by FBI leadership. In May 2025, Trump notably called out a social media post by Comey that featured seashells arranged to read "8647," which many interpreted as a veiled call to assassinate the president. Trump asserted that Comey "knew what he was doing" and labeled the post as incitement to violence. Comey said he was unaware of the numbers' potential interpretation and deleted the post.

DOGE vs DC: Inside Trump and Musk's ambitious swamp-draining dream that ended in a bitter feud
At the onset of his second administration, President Donald Trump entrusted his new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with a slew of monumental tasks saving America from bankruptcy, de-bloating bureaucracy and draining the DC swamp.Suddenly the world's most powerful man once again, he enlisted the world's wealthiest Elon Musk to carry out the task."Musk bought Twitter and fired [approximately] 75% of the staff, with no effect on its operations from day to day, showing that a lot of organizations even in the private sector are bloated with unnecessary personnel," conservative author Stephen F. Hayward said during the Fox Nation special "DOGE vs. DC."The installment, which hit the streaming platform on Tuesday, follows the inside story of the months-long clashes between outsider and establishment that commenced at the onset of Trump's second administration.WILL THE TRUMP CABINET UNDO MUSKS DOGE LEGACY NOW THAT HE'S GONE?With the U.S. national debt now sitting above $37 trillion and its compounding interest greater than the current defense budget, many have urged U.S. leaders to take action to mitigate the crisis.Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who leads the DOGE subcommittee in the House of Representatives, warned if the soaring debt isn't addressed, it will be the "end of America."Answering the call, Trump initially enlisted the help of two men to slash waste, fraud and abuse rife within the federal government Musk and former 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. The duo's reform plan, outlined in the Wall Street Journal at the time, focused on deregulation, scaling back a chunk of the federal workforce and delivering cost savings for taxpayers, to name a few.DOGE STAFFING SHAKEUP AS ELON MUSK HANGS UP HIS HAT, WHITE HOUSE CONFIRMSBut when Ramaswamy bowed out to pursue the Ohio governorship, Musk became the sole leader of DOGE, and his "de-bloating" skills from the private sector suddenly had to translate to the mammoth-sized federal government to enact Trump's vision. As the Fox Nation special explores, his first move involved getting the federal workforce to self-reduce, offering employees a chance to resign and receive full pay through the end of September.According to the White House, approximately 75,000 employees accepted the offer, but DOGE's work was far from over.Slashing "woke" programs, pausing funds for select agencies and tearing through bureaucracies to uncover waste, fraud and abuse roused left-wing activists and Capitol Hill Democrats who were far from pleased and accused DOGE of violating the Constitution.CLICK HERE TO JOIN FOX NATIONAnti-Tesla vandalism, nationwide protests and legal challenges ensued, complicating the Trump administration's efforts and creating a national spectacle.Another shakeup came when Musk's work ended more than a year before his slated expiration date of July 4, 2026 and the former DOGE lead publicly severed ties with Trump over the "big beautiful bill.""DOGE vs. DC" features some of the key figures behind the Trump-appointed task force that shook up Washington, expert commentary about the impact of DOGE, the blow dealt to Elon Musk's Tesla success and in-depth exploration into the Trump-Musk feud.To learn more, subscribe to Fox Nation and begin streaming today.

Far-left firebrand says she 'never had a concern' about Biden's mental state as House probe heats up
Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, said she had zero concerns about former President Joe Biden's mental acuity while he was in the White House.Crockett was the only other lawmaker besides House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., in the closed-door interview with former White House physician Kevin O'Connor on Wednesday morning. She told reporters afterward that Biden's stutter was the reason for his frequent verbal gaffes and raised her own accusations about President Donald Trump's mental faculties."No, I had none," Crockett told reporters when asked whether she had any concerns about Biden's mental fitness while he was in office.WHITE HOUSE WAIVES EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGES FOR BIDEN DOCTOR KEVIN O'CONNOR IN COVER-UP PROBEShe conceded she did not see Biden "every single day," but added, "I did have an opportunity to interact with the president. I never had a concern.""Now, Joe Biden is, what, 80-some years old? I mean, the 80-some-year-old version of Joe Biden versus the 20-something year-old version of Joe Biden is a little different. And I'd imagine that I would be the same," Crockett said."But as it relates to his ability to understand where he is and what he's doing he may get fumbled by words, but that's not anything new, and it's not anything that came with age. We know that this is someone that was born with a stutter that ultimately had to get over it."Crockett said, "Some of the tools that he had been trained to use to get over that stutter" may have dulled with age but said his mind was still sharp on the issues, before she pivoted to Trump.BIDEN AIDES PUSHES FOR EARLY DEBATE TO SHOW OFF BIDEN'S STRENGTH, EXPOSES TRUMP'S WEAKNESS,' BOOK SAYS"So yeah, he would maybe clobber over some words or something like that. But if you talk to him about foreign policy one of the most vivid memories that I have was after that debate that did not go well, we saw him have this complete command of foreign policy, something that this president doesn't. And this president seemingly doesn't even know who our allies are," she argued."He seemingly is cozying up with our enemies. And ultimately, these are things that should concern the American people, because these are things that are dangerous."Crockett surprised reporters when she appeared on Capitol Hill for O'Connor's deposition on Tuesday morning. She said nothing to the press on her way in. After the interview, however, she accused House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., of mischaracterizing O'Connor's decision to plead the Fifth Amendment."This is why it was important to make sure that a Democrat was in the room, because, unfortunately, sometimes people like to cherry-pick and make sure that they can give whatever fits their narrative," Crockett said.Comer, for his part, criticized the doctor's decision. His committee is investigating allegations of a cover-up of the former president's declining mental health by his then-top aides.Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment.

More details revealed on suspects in Independence Day ICE attack in Texas
Some of the suspects charged with attempted murder of two ICE agents and a police officer at Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, on Independence Day met in an online chat group on Signal, and court records show the incident could have been worse.A July 7 criminal complaint filed by the U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas alleges that assailants shot 20 to 30 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle before it jammed, causing it to malfunction.Investigators continued on Tuesday to look into how the suspects were linked, including through a possible Signal group chat. Ten individuals are facing federal charges, including three counts of attempted murder of federal agents in addition to three counts of "discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence."MULTIPLE ARRESTS NEAR PORTLAND ICE BUILDING AFTER POLICE DECLARE RIOTIn addition, the U.S. Attorney's office charged an 11th suspect, Daniel Rolando Sanchez Estrada, with concealing evidence. On Friday night, the heavily armed group lured two unarmed ICE agents into a parking lot by firing a barrage of fireworks at their door, and spray-painting graffiti on their personal cars with the words "traitor" and "Ice Pig," which agents could see from the cameras inside. At around the same time, a police officer responded to their 911 call for two men firing rounds from a nearby tree line, and an officer was hit in the neck, which forced the agents to take cover. The officer who was hit is expected to recover, according to DHS.Suspect Bradford Morris was arrested while trying to flee from the scene in a red Hyundai van. While in custody, he told an FBI agent he had been "part of a Signal Group Chatfor a while and that he had been invited to the group chat years ago after attending a protest." He drove to the incident with another suspect and two people he onlyknew by their nicknames, "Champagne and Rowan." Inside Morris van, police found a revolver, two AR-15 rifles, two Kevlar vests, a ballistic helmet and a loaded magazine.According to the criminal complaint, Morris "claimed that he met some people online and transported some of them down from Dallas" to the center in order to "make some noise."Police also found seven suspects in black military fatigues wandering in a field 300 yards away, some of whom were covered in mud from trying to escape on foot. They also had weapons, vests and radios.ICE AGENTS TARGETED IN 2 AMBUSH ATTACKS IN RECENT DAYS"One possibility is that they are related and this is a national concerted effort, to go after first responders," Alex Del Carmen, criminologist, told Fox 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth.CLICK HERE FOR MORE IMMIGRATION COVERAGE"The second possibility is that, in fact, this may not be related at all, and these are simply copycats, people are getting inspired to do this kind of harm to first responders because theyre reading whats happening in other states," he added.Court records revealed extensive planning as well as anti-government literature obtained in an apartment tied to a suspect, including literature entitled "Organising for Attack! Insurrectionary Anarchy."TEXAS POLICE OFFICER SHOT NEAR ICE DETENTION CENTER AS TRUMP OFFICIALS PROMISE ZERO TOLERANCEThe term "insurrectionary anarchy" is explained as a "subset of anarchism that stands out for its commitment to violence and revolutionary insurrection," according to a Perspectives on Terrorism journal article, which is part of the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, from March 2024. The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point also had a journal article in March 2023 that explained "insurrectionary anarchism is regarded as the most serious form of domestic (non-jihadi) terrorist threat."Another suspect allegedly had flyers in his backpack with "Fight ICE terror with class war!" and "Free all political prisoners."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"ICE is actively working with the FBI and the Texas Rangers regarding the incident," a DHS spokesperson said in a statement."Threats or acts of violence toward law enforcement officers will NOT be tolerated. Secretary Noem has made it clear: If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law," the statement continued.Fox News Digital reached out to the FBI and the Department of Justice.

Red state will require new teachers pass PragerU 'America First' test to keep license
FIRST ON FOX: The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is partnering with pro-Trump educational nonprofit PragerU to develop an "America First" assessment for new teachers coming into the state. The state Department of Education is currently working with PragerU to develop the assessment for teachers "relocating from states with progressive education policies," which they must take in order to get a license to teach in Oklahoma. The new assessment will evaluate educators on three main aspects: knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, "understanding of American exceptionalism" and "grasp of fundamental biological differences between boys and girls," according to a news release about the new assessment. The goal of the new assessment is to ensure educators align with OSDE's commitment to an education "rooted in truth, patriotism and core values," and aims to instill "pride" in the nation's history among students.ARIZONA LAUNCHES PARTNERSHIP WITH PRAGERU TO TEACH KIDS ABOUT AMERICA'S 'RICH HISTORY AND VALUES'"Were sending a clear message: Oklahomas schools will not be a haven for woke agendas pushed in places like California and New York," said Superintendent Ryan Walters. "If you want to teach here, youd better know the Constitution, respect what makes America great, and understand basic biology. Were raising a generation of patriots, not activists, and Ill fight tooth and nail to keep leftist propaganda out of our classrooms."OSDE said it was still assessing which states of origin will be required, but said California and New York would be included. The exact makeup of the test is also still under development but will be finalized in the coming weeks. The assessment will then be implemented immediately upon completion, according to OSDE."Were thrilled to join Oklahoma in answering parents urgent call against senseless woke indoctrination," said PragerU CEO Marissa Streit. "This assessment will stop extreme leftist ideologues from harming children and ensure teachers champion Americas greatness and future potential."HOW TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL' WILL IMPACT K-12 EDUCATIONFox News Digital reached out to multiple Oklahoma teachers unions for comment. The Association of Professional Oklahoma Educators got back, but they declined to comment, citing the fact they had not been notified of the details of this new teacher assessment yet. The Oklahoma chapter of the National Educators Association also declined to comment.OSDE's new assessment for new teachers is not the first reform Walters has ushered in over the last several months to ensure students get a pro-America education in the state. About six months ago, Walters released updated social studies standards aimed at strengthening civics and constitutional studies across every grade that "upholds pro-family, pro-America values."Under Walters' leadership, OSDE has also instituted lifetime teaching bans for serious sexual misconduct and other violations of professional standards, taken steps to address antisemitism and moved money from administrative budgets to pay for all students' lunches across the state.

Elon Musk's White House tenure had 'troublesome ending,' WH Chief of Staff Susie Wiles says
White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles lamented in a new interview that Elon Musk's relationship with President Donald Trump and the administration came to a "troublesome ending.""It seemed almost as if he had a sort of fatherly fixation with Donald Trump that I guess inevitably was going to blow up at some point. How did you see that relationship?" New York Post columnist Miranda Devine asked Wiles after they both agreed there was a "hiccup" with the former head of DOGE.Wiles sat for a conversation on Devine's "Pod Force One" podcast, which was released on Wednesday. Musk exited his role with the Trump administration in May."Similar, the president was very, very kind to him. And Elon had so much to offer us. He knew things we didnt know, he knew people and technologies that we didnt know. It was a great thing when it was a great thing, and then it had a very troublesome ending," Wiles said.ELON MUSK INDICATES HE'LL DONATE TO REP. THOMAS MASSIE, A REPUBLICAN WHO HAS BEEN EXCORIATED BY TRUMPMusk and Trump have traded barbs over the Trump-backed "Big, Beautiful Bill" as the former DOGE chief has since launched another political party the "America Party."The new party, according to Musks posts, will target a few key seats in Congress. The goal is to create a swing bloc powerful enough to hold the balance of power and stop what Musk sees as the worst excesses of both Republicans and Democrats.Musk called the bill a "disgusting abomination.""I dont understand it. I dont know," Wiles told Devine of the pair's fallout. "I enjoyed working with Elon. I think hes a fascinating person and sees the world differently. And I think thats probably what the president saw, too, just a little bit different than the average Joe, but certainly, came to not a good ending."TIMELINE: INSIDE THE EVOLVING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRUMP AND MUSK FROM FIRST TERM TO THIS WEEK'S FALLOUTThe president reacted to Musk's third-party announcement on Monday."I think its ridiculous to start a third party," Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One in Bedminster, N.J. "We have a tremendous success with the Republican Party. The Democrats have lost their way, but its always been a two-party system, and I think starting a third party just adds to confusion."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE"It really seems to have been developed for two parties," the president continued.
