Jeff Bezos and Lauren Snchez Bezos hosted an extravagant three-day wedding celebration in Venice, Italy last week, and many online onlookers got stuck on one detail: the presence of actress Sydney Sweeney. While other celebrity guests had clear ties to the billionaire couple Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, for example, have been friends with Lauren for some time, even attending her bachelorette party in May it wasn't immediately clear how Sweeney was connected to the now-newlyweds.According to a report from Page Six, the reason behind Sweeney's appearance may have been strictly business.NEWLYWEDS JEFF BEZOS AND LAUREN SNCHEZ BEZOS PACK ON PDA AHEAD OF STAR-STUDDED WEDDING CELEBRATIONA source told the outlet that the "Anyone But You" star traveled to Venice for the glamorous event because she's set to star in a film for Jeff's Amazon MGM Studios. She "is not friends with either one of them," the source claimed, but "came to pay respects to the boss, just like in the old days of Hollywood."In June, Variety reported that a movie called "Split Fiction," starring Sweeney and based on a video game with the same title, had been taken on by Amazon MGM Studios. She'd signed onto the project in March, and is also an executive producer.Representatives for Sweeney, Jeff, Lauren and Amazon MGM Studios did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? UN report targeting Israel sparks backlash, author accused of overstepping her mandate
A United Nations report targeting Israel and companies that operate within the country entitled "Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide" is sparking backlash and concern. The report was authored and presented by U.N. Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese, a controversial figure who has been condemned by multiple nations for making allegedly antisemitic remarks. In her latest report, she calls for sanctions against "entities and individuals involved in activities that may endanger the Palestinians."UN EXPERT REPEATS ISRAEL 'GENOCIDE' CLAIMS AFTER US CALLS FOR HER REMOVALNGO Monitor Legal Advisor Anne Herzberg said that while its not surprising that Albanese would issue a scathing report on Israel, as she has done so many times in the past, this latest report was unique. "I think that the difference now is that this report explicitly endorses adopting BDS boycott, divestment, and sanctions against Israel in a very overt way," Herzberg told Fox News Digital. She added that even though Albanese is an independent investigator, the report could be interpreted as the U.N. supporting the BDS movement against Israel. In response to a Fox News Digital request for comment, the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights said "special procedures experts," like Albanese "work on a voluntary basis," do not receive a salary and are not U.N. staff."While the U.N. Human Rights office acts as the secretariat for special procedures, the experts serve in their individual capacity and are independent fromany government or organization, including OHCHR and the U.N.," OHCHRs media team told Fox News Digital. "Any views or opinions presented are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of the U.N. or OHCHR."REVEALED: THE EXTENSIVE PERKS UN OFFICIALS RECEIVE AMID BUDGET CRISISHerzog told Fox News Digital that not only did Albanese overstep the boundaries of her role, but so did the U.N. Human Rights Council (HRC), as it does not have the authority to issue sanctions, something the report recommends."The U.N. Human Rights Council, which is where she presented her report, and that's under whose auspices she is working, does not have the power under the U.N. charter to issue sanctions," Herzog said. "And so not only has she overstepped her mandate as a rapporteur, the U.N. Human Rights Council by endorsing this, not endorsing the report, but by allowing this report to be published."Herzog said she saw "threatening and harassing" letters that Albanese sent to companies and NGOs "basically threatening them with being included on her boycott list and claiming that they were complicit in international crimes like genocide, apartheid, blocking self-determination or Palestinians."ISRAEL TURNS TABLES ON UN OFFICIAL CLAIMING 'GENOCIDE' IN GAZA WITH BASIC QUESTIONSThe United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights is a voluntary code that companies can sign on to as a pledge to be mindful of how their operations run and their customers are treated. Herzog argued that Albanese "weaponizes this voluntary positive, pluralistic framework" and that she does so improperly, making it a "binding punitive framework.""Not only is she distorting international law, shes distorting this UNGP framework, and I suspect that if this type of activity of hers gains purchase or other people start following in her footsteps, shes going to be responsible for basically destroying the whole area of business and human rights."Albanese presented her report to the UNHRC on Thursday, just two days after the U.S. called for her removal over her "years-long pattern of antisemitism and anti-Israel bias."In the report, Albanese claims that corporations have aided Israel in "its ongoing genocidal campaign in Gaza." She repeated this claim at UNHRC on Thursday, charging Israel with being "responsible for one of the cruelest genocides in modern history." She also accused Israel of using the war in Gaza as a testing ground for new weapons "to exterminate a people without restraint."Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. in Geneva Daniel Meron, who was not present at the UNHRC meeting, told Fox News Digital that through her report Albanese is "willingly spearheading the global efforts to promote terrorism propaganda.""This report, just like all others by this rapporteur, is riddled with inflammatory rhetoric and is legally baseless," Meron told Fox News Digital. "Her obsession with demonizing Israel is clear in the narrative she pushes."Albanese did not respond to Fox News Digitals questions or request for comment in time for publication.

Big Beautiful Bill immediately hits the campaign trail in battle for Congress
President Donald Trump signs the sweeping Republican-crafted domestic policy package that he and the GOP call the "One Big Beautiful Bill," into law on Friday at the White House. The massive tax cuts and spending bill passed the House and Senate this week by razor-thin margins along near party lines. But the political battle over the bill is far from over, as it moves from Capitol Hill to the campaign trail."I'm deeply concerned about this bill and what this will do. Were going to be talking a lot about it," Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas of New Hampshire told Fox News Digital on Friday.GAME ON: REPUBLICANS, DEMOCRATS, TRADE FIRE OVER BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILLPappas, who's running in the crucial 2026 race to succeed retiring longtime Sen. Jeanne Shaheen for a Democrat-held seat Republicans would love to flip, took aim at the bill."This was a one-party effort and unfortunately it arrived at a conclusion that I think is not good for our state and for our country,"TRUMP TOUTS BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL IS VERY POPULAR DESPITE POLLINGFormer Republican Sen. Scott Brown, who last month announced his candidacy for the Senate, sees things differently, and he praised the president for helping GOP leaders in Congress get the bill to his desk at the White House."The things he said he was going to do, hes actually done. For somebody in politics to actually do that I think is very rare," Brown said of Trump. The bill is stuffed full of Trump's 2024 campaign trail promises and second-term priorities on tax cuts, immigration, defense, energy and the debt limit. It includes extending his signature 2017 tax cuts and eliminating taxes on tips and overtime pay.By making his first-term tax rates permanent - they were set to expire later this year - the bill will cut taxes by nearly $4.4 trillion over the next decade, according to analysis by the Congressional Budget Office and the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.'BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ON WAY TO WHITE HOUSE AFTER NARROWLY PASSING FINAL HURDLE IN CONGRESSThe measure also provides billions for border security and codifies the president's controversial immigration crackdown. And the bill also restructures Medicaid the nearly 60-year-old federal program that provides health coverage to roughly 71 million low-income Americans. Additionally, Senate Republicans increased cuts to Medicaid over what the House initially passed in late May.The changes to Medicaid, as well as cuts to food stamps, another one of the nation's major safety net programs, were drafted in part as an offset to pay for extending Trump's tax cuts. The measure includes a slew of new rules and regulations, including work requirements for many of those seeking Medicaid coverage. And the $3.4 trillion legislative package is also projected to surge the national debt by $4 trillion over the next decade.Democrats for a couple of months have blasted Republicans over the social safety net changes."Were going to be talking about this bill because the results are that 46,000 people in New Hampshire will lose their health insurance. Well have people that will go hungry, that wont be able to access assistance," Pappas warned. "And we know that insurance premiums for all Granite Staters could go up as a result of uncompensated care costs and the burden that this places on our hospitals."Thefour-term congressman, who was interviewed by Fox News on Friday as he arrived for the annual July 4th naturalization ceremony in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, noted that "weve been hearing from folks and engaging with people all across the state on this issue."Democrats have spotlighted a slew of national polls conducted last month that indicate the bill's popularity in negative territory.By a 21-point margin, voters questioned in the most recent Fox News national poll opposed the bill (38% favored vs. 59% opposed).HEAD HERE FOR THE LATEST FOX NEWS POLLINGThe bill was also underwater in other national surveys conducted last month by the Washington Post (minus 19 points), Pew Research (minus 20 points) and Quinnipiac University (minus 26 points).About half of respondents questioned in the Fox News poll said the bill would hurt their family (49%), while one quarter thought it would help (23%), and another quarter didn't think it would make a difference (26%).Asked about criticism from Democrats on the Medicaid cuts, Brown said "my mom was on welfare. Those are very important programs and Ive said already that the people that actually need them the most, the ones who are disabled, the ones who cant get out and work, they should have them.""Its meant for lower and middle-income people and I support them getting those benefits. But I dont support who are here illegally get them," Brown said. And he added that he doesn't support giving the benefits to "people who are able-bodied and can absolutely go out and do some volunteerism, go out and work."WHAT'S ACTUALLY IN TRUMP'S BIG BEAUTIFUL BILLRepublicans are also going on offense over the bill, targeting Democrats for voting against the tax cuts.Republicans are shining a spotlight on recent polls conducted by GOP-aligned groups that indicate strong support for the bill due to the tax cut provisions.Brown, who was interviewed by Fox News after he marched in the annual Brentwood, New Hampshire July 4th parade, said "obviously keeping the 2017 tax cuts in place. Certainly for individuals and businesses, its really really critical."And pointing to Pappas, whose family for over a century has owned Manchester's iconic Puritan Backroom restaurant, Brown said "for someone like Chris Pappas, imagine walking into the restaurant he owns and telling his employees oh by the way Im not going to support your no tax on tips, your no tax on overtime. How do you do that?"Asked about the GOP attacks, Pappas said "I support targeted tax cuts for working people, for our small businesses and to make sure we are targeting that relief to the people that need it, not to billionaires, to the biggest corporations in way that adds $4 trillion to the national debt as this bill does.""We hoped there would be an opportunity for a bipartisan conversation on taxes and how we can invest in the middle class and working people and our small businesses and unfortunately that didnt happen," he added.

Left-leaning actress Natasha Lyonne leading efforts to lobby Trump admin on AI regulation
Left-leaning actress Natasha Lyonne is at the forefront of Hollywood efforts to get the government to address creators' concerns about AI infringing on their work."My primary interest is that people get paid for their lifes work," Lyonne said in a report in the Wall Street Journal. The story detailed Lyonne's efforts to lobby Hollywood heavyweights to sign onto her letter to the Trump administration in March, urging against the loosening of regulations around AI, which they deem a potential threat to their intellectual property without proper protections in place. The WSJ noted the White House's pending AI action plan "could influence how U.S. copyright rules are applied to training large language models," with tech companies like Google and OpenAI saying they need such models to keep theirs up to date and compete globally with rivals like China.REPUBLICANS SCRAP DEAL IN 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL' TO LOWER RESTRICTIONS ON STATES' AI REGULATIONSThe Hollywood letter said the companies "are arguing for a special government exemption so they can freely exploit Americas creative and knowledge industries, despite their substantial revenues and available funds. There is no reason to weaken or eliminate the copyright protections that have helped America flourish."Lyonne and more than 400 others, including such figures as Paul McCartney, Ron Howard and Ben Stiller, signed the letter.Lyonne, known for her roles in the series "Poker Face" and "Russian Doll," is a partner in a new studio called Asteria, which describes itself as "an artist-led generative AI film and animation studio powered by the first clean and ethical AI model."Like many figures in Hollywood, Lyonne is not a fan of the president, endorsing Kamala Harris in 2024 and posting in a now-deleted X post in 2020 about turning Texas blue to defeat Trump.Earlier this year, she told The Hollywood Reporter she was concerned for marginalized communities, saying of Trump, "Its very weird to have like a showbiz guy in charge, is surreal. Im actually pretty horrified by how strategic and effective this whole thing has been."FEDERAL AI POWER GRAB COULD END STATE PROTECTIONS FOR KIDS AND WORKERSShe added she was concerned that 12-year-olds wouldn't be able to get abortions, later clarifying that she was referring to young victims of rape or incest who may be forced to give birth. The WSJ reported that Trump officials were unsure whether they'd take any action on the AI front, due to the complexities involved and having to take one side over another. There have been mixed rulings on the subject as well, with fair use arguments favoring companies like Meta and Anthropic in two cases last month because the copyrighted material used to train their AI models was sufficiently transformed, the Wall Street Journal reported. But others have favored copyright holders, depending on the context.OpenAI and Google put forth their own submissions earlier this year to the White House Office of Science and Technology asking their respective companies to be able to train their models on copyrighted material."The federal government can both secure Americans freedom to learn from AI and avoid forfeiting our AI lead to the PRC [People's Republic of China] by preserving American AI models ability to learn from copyrighted material," OpenAIs letter states.SCARLETT JOHANSSON TAKES AIM AT COMPANIES USING HER LIKENESS, VOICE IN AIGoogles letter states, "Balanced copyright rules, such as fair use and text-and-data mining exceptions, have been critical to enabling AI systems to learn from prior knowledge and publicly available data, unlocking scientific and social advances. These exceptions allow for the use of copyrighted, publicly available material for AI training without significantly impacting rightsholders and avoid often highly unpredictable, imbalanced, and lengthy negotiations with data holders during model development or scientific experimentation."This week, a deal that had been reached between Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, over how states can regulate artificial intelligence was pulled from President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful" bill. The collapsed agreement would have required states seeking to access hundreds of millions of dollars in AI infrastructure funding in the "big, beautiful" billto refrain from adopting new regulations on the technology for five years, a compromise down from the original 10 years. The White House didn't respond to a request for comment. Fox News Digital also reached out to Lyonne's representatives, as well as Google and OpenAI, for comment.Fox News Digital's Elizabeth Stanton, Landon Mion and Kelly Phares contributed to this report.

"PETA encourages everyone to let freedom ring for all by leaving animals in peace this Fourth of July and beyond."JOEY CHESTNUT RECLAIMS HOT DOG EATING CONTEST TITLE AFTER LAST YEAR'S ABSENCE BY DOWNING 70.5 FRANKSChestnut returned to the competition after missing last year due to partnering with a plant-based brand, Impossible Foods. He looked almost as good as ever, downing 70.5 dogs and buns in the 10-minute span. SCOTT BESSENT: President Trump's 'big, beautiful bill' will unleash parallel prosperity
The same issues that drove the Founders to declare independence from the Crown in 1776 drove 77 million Americans to the polls in 2024: heavy taxes, weak leadership, and an overreaching government numb to the needs of its citizens. President Trump won in a landslide victory by offering powerful solutions to each of these problems. He is the American people's declaration of independence from business as usual in Washington. The president seeks to serve "the forgotten men and women of America." And the One Big, Beautiful Bill, which he signs into law today, is central to that mission. This historic legislation will make life more affordable for all Americans by unleashing parallel prosperitythe idea that Main Street and Wall Street can grow together.NEW PROJECTION SIGNALS GOOD NEWS FOR FAMILIES, WORKERS IN TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL'The One Big, Beautiful Bill represents the priorities of the new Republican Party, which includes millions of working-class Americans who once called themselves Democrats. This bill builds on the blue-collar renaissance started by President Trump.Since President Trump took office in January, blue-collar wages have increased 1.7%. This represents the largest increase in working-class wages to start a presidency in more than 50 years. For comparison, working-class wages decreased during the same period under every single president since Richard Nixon with only one exceptionPresident Trump in his first term.Key to sparking the presidents second blue-collar boom has been his efforts to end illegal immigration. The open-border policy of previous administrations accelerated our nations affordability crisis. The influx of millions of illegal aliens put an unsustainable strain on healthcare, housing, education and welfare. It also supported a black market in labor that artificially suppressed working-class wages for decades. But that ends with the One Big Beautiful Bill. The One Big Beautiful Bill is more than just a tax bill. It works to ensure that illegal immigrants are not taking advantage of the safety net created for Americans. The bill also funds the completion of the border wall and provides resources to hire thousands of additional federal agents to protect our country against future illegal immigration. The goal is to redirect the estimated $249 billion inannualwages paid to illegal workers to lawful workers and American citizens. Ending the black market of undocumented labor by funding enforcement of our existing immigration laws will result in a massive pay raise for the working class. We have seen American workers benefit from the presidents economic approach before. Under President Trumps 2017 tax cuts, the net worth of the bottom 50% of households increased faster than the net worth of the top 10% of households. That will happen again under the One Big Beautiful Bill. The bill prevents a $4.5 trillion tax hike on the American people. This will allow the average worker to keep an additional $4,000 to $7,200 in annual real wages and allow the average family of four to keep an additional $7,600 to $10,900 in take-home pay. Add to this the presidents ambitious deregulation agenda, which could save the average family of four an additional $10,000. For millions of Americans, these savings are the difference between being able to make a mortgage payment, buy a car, or send a child to college. The president is delivering on his promise to seniors as well. The bill provides an additional $6,000 deduction for seniors, which will mean that 88% of seniors receiving Social Security income will pay no tax on their Social Security benefits. The One Big Beautiful Bill also codifies no tax on tips and no tax on overtime payboth policies designed to provide financial relief to Americas working class. These tax breaks will ensure Main Street workers keep more of their hard-earned income. And they will bolster productivity by rewarding Americans who work extra hours. All Americans can learn how President Trumps tax cuts will impact their lives for the better witha new White House calculator. These productivity-enhancing measures dovetail with the second booster in the blue-collar boom: providing 100% expensing for new factories and existing factories that expand operations, plus car loan interest deductibility to support Made-in-America.Economic security is national security. This became especially clear during COVID, which exposed glaring vulnerabilities in our critical supply chains. By providing 100% expensing for factoriesin addition to rebalancing trade to encourage greater domestic productionPresident Trump is fortifying our supply chains and reawakening the might of Americas industrial base.To help fuel this effort, the president is unleashing American energy by removing onerous regulations, increasing oil and gas lease sales, eliminating the perverse subsidies of the Green New Scam, and refilling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. These measures will make life more affordable for American families by bringing down the costs of gas and electricity across the country.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThrough the One Big Beautiful Bill, President Trump is taking a bottom-up approach to restoring the economy. To that end, the bill makes the 2017 tax cuts permanent to give businesses of all sizes the certainty they need to grow, hire, and plan for the long term. It also provides targeted relief for small businesses by more than doubling the cap on overall small business expensing. These tax provisions will put billions of dollars back in the hands of Americas small business owners, which they can then use to expand their workforce and reinvigorate Main Street. The intent of all these policiesbe it tax cuts for the working class, full expensing for manufacturers, or new deductions for small businessesis the same: to improve the lives of Americans on every rung of the economic ladder. Sewn with pride: Flag factory gears up for 250th anniversary of nation
With Independence Day and the United States 250th anniversary just a year away, one Missouri company is stitching its way into history.Allied Materials, based in Kansas City, has been manufacturing since 1951. The company now builds about 1,000 flags per day, with many destined for military funerals, government buildings and patriotic front porches nationwide."This is kind of our Christmas," said Tyler Young, president of Allied Materials. "We start preparing months in advance, building extra inventory because we know this is the weekend Americans will show their patriotism most fervently."AMERICAN FLAGS FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS ARE AT THE HEART OF THIS ENDEAVORThe company is the largest vertically integrated flag manufacturer in the U.S., producing over 300,000 flags per year for federal agencies alone including the U.S. Senate, the Department of Defense and military bases around the world."We make federal government-compliant flags," Young said. "That means every single component is sourced in America from the cotton seed to the dyed fabric. There are no corners cut, no costs spared. It truly is the best flag you can put in front of your home."TRUMP ANNOUNCES HE WILL KICK OFF INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND WITH 'VERY SPECIAL' PATRIOTIC EVENTEach flag begins with American-grown cotton or nylon, which is dyed, rolled and cut into stripes. Those are sewn together in Kansas City and joined with embroidered star fields made in the companys Louisiana facility. Every flag is inspected and trimmed before the final touch: metal grommets that make them ready to fly."From start to finish, that flag may only take a couple hours," Young said. "But the purpose it serves lasts a lifetime."For many of Allieds employees, that purpose is personal.DISABLED VETERAN FIGHTS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION LAWSUIT OVER FLAGPOLE IN FLORIDA YARD"These people work really hard," said longtime machine technician Terry Walker. "Every fallen veteran gets one of these flags. And its an honor to work here."Young said that seriousness is shared company-wide. "The next time someone sees this flag, it may be draped over a veterans coffin. It needs to be perfect. We owe it to that soldier and their family to honor their sacrifice."As the U.S. looks ahead to its semiquincentennial in 2026, Allied is preparing for what could be the largest flag-flying event in American history.PLAN AN EPIC INDEPENDENCE DAY MOVIE MARATHON WITH THESE TVS AND PROJECTORS"Were starting our marketing plan now and building inventory this fall," Young said. "We want to be ready for everyone whether theyre a homeowner looking to fly a flag or a government agency planning a ceremony. Well be here."According to STG Logistics, roughly 94% of American flags sold in the U.S. are made domestically a point of pride for Young, especially as recent tariffs on imports disrupted global supply chains.MAKE SURE YOUR KIDS HAVE FUN ON INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH THESE FOURTH OF JULY ESSENTIALS"When other suppliers were hit by tariffs, we werent," he said. "It was actually kind of fun to call our customers and say, Today youre getting a call from an American manufacturer who makes American-made products with American raw materials."Allieds flags range in size from two feet by three feet up to ten by fifteen, and each one meets federal standards for stitching, star size and durability whether its headed to a front yard or the steps of the Capitol."A flag isnt just a product," Young said. "Its a symbol of our nations history and of everyone whos been part of the fabric of this country."
