Kim Kardashian Paris robbery trial brings star face to face with alleged gunmen in multimillion-dollar heist
Nearly nine years have passed since Kim Kardashian was allegedly attacked and held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room while intruders stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry. Now, the SKIMS founder is set to face the alleged gunmen during her testimony in a Paris courtroom on Tuesday."We can confirm that Ms. Kardashian will be testifying in person at the upcoming French criminal trial involving the 2016 incident in which she was bound and robbed at gunpoint by a number of masked assailants," Kardashian's attorney, Michael Rhodes, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "At this time, Ms. Kardashian is preserving her testimony for the Court and jury and does not wish to elaborate further on it at this stage.""She has tremendous appreciation and admiration for the French judicial system and has been treated with great respect by the French authorities. She wishes for the trial to proceed in an orderly fashion in accordance with French law and with respect for all parties to the case."KIM KARDASHIAN'S FAME COULD SWAY JURY IN PARIS ROBBERY TRIAL AGAINST 'GRANDPA ROBBERS': EXPERTKardashian, 44, is set to testify in a monthlong trial against a group known as the "grandpa robbers" due to their age. More than 17 people were arrested as suspects in connection to the case after investigators found trace amounts of DNA on plastic bands tied around Kardashian's wrists. The case was finally ordered to go on trial in 2021 with 12 people charged.Ten people are being tried, with five facing armed robbery and kidnapping charges. The other suspects are charged with being accomplices to the heist or unauthorized possession of a weapon, according to Reuters."It was the scariest thing Ive ever been through in my entire life," Kardashian said during an episode of "Felony Files" in 2019. "Just thinking that, you know, youre about to die. Youre bracing yourself for the moment theyre going to shoot you and kill you. That 10 minutes really changed my whole life. "On Oct. 3, 2016, the intruders allegedly disguised themselves as police officers with ski masks as they broke into her room at the No Address Hotel, tied up the reality star and placed her in the bathtub while they stole various jewelry pieces, including her $4 million engagement ring from then-husband Kanye West.Kardashian, who was in town for Fashion Week with her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, and mother Kris Jenner, had posted on social media that she was home alone while her family went out to explore Paris.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER"I was Snapchatting that I was home and that everyone was going out," Kim said on a 2017 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."While lying in bed, Kardashian heard footsteps approaching her door and, after calling out for her sisters, she realized something was wrong."Then at that moment when there wasnt an answer, my heart started to get really tense," Kardashian said in a confessional during the episode. "Like your stomach just kind of knots up, and youre like, OK, whats going on? Whats going on? I knew something wasnt quite right.""They dragged me out onto the hallway on top of the stairs. That's when I saw the gun clear, like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs."LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS"Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back? It makes me so upset to think about it," she said. "Either they're going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it, and they don't, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like I'm f----d. There's no way out."During an appearance on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" with David Letterman in 2020, Kardashian said she mentally "prepared" herself for the worst."He grabbed me and pulled me towards him," Kardashian said of her attacker. "But I wasnt wearing anything underneath [my robe], so I was like, OK, this is the time, Im going to get raped, like, just deal, its going to happen, like, just prepare yourself. So I did, and then I dont know why Im crying, Ive talked about this before but then he tied me up with handcuffs and zip ties, and then duct tape, and then duct-taped my mouth and my eyes.""I saw he found my whole jewelry box and held it up, like, Aha! You know, like, We got it. But I kept on looking at the concierge [whod been forced to unlock her door at gunpoint] because I didnt know who he was, and Im like, What is happening? Are we going to die? Just tell them I have children, I have babies, I have a husband, I have a family, like I have to get home! Tell them to take anything. Ill never say I saw them, like, take everything!"The aftermath of the robbery was difficult, but talking about it proved to be "therapeutic" for Kardashian."When we started filming again and getting up and running, you know, obviously, Kim was around because we all practically live together on the street," mom Kris Jenner told Ellen DeGeneres in 2017. "And we started filming and what was coming out of that was very therapeutic for her, I think, to just explain to us and walk us through.""She just thinks that it might bring some awareness," she continued. "You know, its changed the way we live our lives and just the way we take care of our kids and our grandchildren. So its been a process."Kardashian didn't return to Paris for nearly two years after the alleged attack."I have so many special memories in Paris," she said during an episode of her show in 2018. "I hope that this trip will just be so good that I can start to remember all the magical things about Paris and why Kanye and I fell in love with it."In 2017, Kardashian told DeGeneres that she believes the robbery happened to "teach" her something."I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me," she told the daytime talk show host. "I am such a different person. I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things, and this was like it was probably no secret, you see it on the show, us being flashy, I was definitely materialistic before. Not that theres anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things, and Im really proud of everyone around me thats successful. But Im so happy that my kids get this me and that this is how Im raising my kids, because I just dont care about that stuff anymore."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPFox News Digital's Tracy Wright contributed to this post.

HOUSE MINORITY WHIP KATHERINE CLARK: Trump's attack on Harvard is just the beginning
In 1941, President Franklin Roosevelt warned Americans to "beware of that small group of selfish men who would clip the wings of the American eagle in order to feather their own nests."It was a warning that reflected what he saw playing out across the Atlantic: The fascists of Europe disempowering their people and corrupting their national institutions in order to enrich and empower themselves.Nearly a century after the rise of Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco, Donald Trump is using their same, tried-and-true tactics to corrupt Americas institutions and silence dissent.LINDA MCMAHON BLASTS HARVARD IN SCATHING LETTER TELLING ELITE UNIVERSITY IT WILL NO LONGER GET FEDERAL GRANTSSince returning to office, he has claimed the right to evaluate universities "viewpoint diversity" demanding that private institutions subject students and faculty to government "audits" of their personal beliefs.Harvards president has rightly refused, making clear that "The University will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights."That insistence on academic freedom has been met with swift government retaliation.Trump withheld Congressionally-approved research funding. His administration openly threatened Harvard students visas. And he directed the IRS to revoke Harvards tax-exempt status.harvaThese attacks will disrupt a major economic engine, not just for Massachusetts but for the entire country.Harvard is an unrivaled leader in lifesaving medical research. Our public investments in those breakthroughs have fueled Americas innovation economy allowing us to lead the world in bringing academic research to the marketplace. This retaliation will cost lives, erode our competitive advantage, and prompt a disastrous brain drain a self-inflicted injury on which our rivals are more than happy to capitalize.None of that matters to Trump. Obviously. Its collateral damage in his larger war to centralize power, enrich himself, and codify his ideas as fact under the law.LEGAL EXPERT BACKS TRUMP ADMIN'S CRACKDOWN ON HARVARD: 'ACCOUNTABILITY MUST BE ENFORCED'That first goal centralizing power is nothing new for Trump. He has long sought to expand his power at the expense of our political institutions: attacking the legitimacy of our elections and politicizing our courts. The second self-enrichment has defined his first 100 days in office. Whether hes hawking cars at the White House, selling scammy crypto coins, or openly manipulating the stock market, he is enriching himself, his family, and his wealthy donors. All this while the American people and small businesses face skyrocketing costs due to Trumps tariffs. But the third goal using the governments authority to enforce his version of the truth. Thats what these attacks on Harvard are about. Thats what should scare any American who believes in objective truth, freedom of speech, and the rule of law.Trump and his allies dont just want to reshape our political system. They dont just want to pocket some cash and call it a day. They want to corrupt and seize control of our institutions in order to dictate how Americans learn, what we read, and how we think.Look at how Trump has altered American society since January. If universities want to remain tax-exempt, they need to serve as academic arms of the ruling political party.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONIf a news network wants to keep its broadcast license, it needs to report stories the way the government wants them reported. If museums, libraries, and theaters want to stay open, they need to toss out material that may offend the White House. If law firms want to represent clients with business before the federal government, they need to bribe the president. If college students want to avoid being disappeared to foreign prisons, they need to keep their political views to themselves. These actions will not stop at the gates of elite institutions. Your personal freedom of speech and liberty of thought are just as much of a threat to Trumps power and he knows it.We cant treat this rising authoritarianism as a personal quirk or just another feature of our politics. Our republic the very idea that we should live in a democracy is facing a grave threat. For the vast majority of Americans who believe our national identity is inextricably tied to government of the people, this moment must serve as a call to unprecedented action. We all have a role to play in defending freedom. Because being an American means suffering no kings.

Trump criticizes Biden admin's 'reckless, soft-on-crime policies' while announcing National Police Week
President Donald Trump criticized former President Joe Biden's administration on Monday for allowing "lawlessness to permeate our country" while announcing Peace Officers Memorial Day and police week.Trump proclaimed Thursday as Peace Officers Memorial Day, continuing a 63-year tradition of honoring fallen officers on May 15. He also declared this week as National Police Week, beginning this past Sunday and going through Saturday."This week and always, we honor the courageous men and women serving in law enforcement and memorialize those who sacrificed their lives defending the thin blue line," he wrote in the proclamation. In the presidential action, Trump also called out the Biden administration for its "reckless, soft-on-crime policies," which he said made it harder for police officers to do their jobs.CELEBRATE LAW ENFORCEMENT DURING NATIONAL POLICE WEEK"A nation in chaos ceases to be a citadel of liberty. Tragically, the previous administration allowed lawlessness to permeate our country, making it harder for our law enforcement officers to do their jobs," the president wrote in the order. "Their reckless, soft-on-crime policies emboldened criminals and thugs; wreaked havoc on the sanctity of our homes, businesses, and public spaces; instilled fear; and jeopardized public trust."Trump continued by saying he is fulfilling the promises that he campaigned on to make America safe again, including taking authority at the border and "restoring the rule of law in communities nationwide."He also said that under his administration, all available resources will be utilized to ensure that officers will be equipped and trained to be the best they can be, qualified officers will be retained and recruiting will focus "on the basis of meritocracy."NATIONAL POLICE WEEK IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW COPS WE HAVE THEIR BACKSTrump also called on Congress to codify his executive order mandating the death penalty for those who murder a police officer and to pass a bill enhancing protections for police officers."I stand in steadfast solidarity with those who defend our freedoms and the families who love and support them," Trump said. "We pray for those who grieve the fallen and pledge that their lives, legacies, and sacrifices will forever be remembered by our grateful Nation."Governors have been asked to direct that the American flag be flown at half-staff on Thursday, and Trump has called on all Americans to observe National Police Week with "appropriate ceremonies and activities."

Democratic National Committee panel voids David Hogg's election as party vice chair
The Democratic National Convention voted to void its election of David Hogg as vice chair of the Democratic Party on Monday. The vote comes after mounting internal criticism of Hogg, though party officials say the vote was based on a procedural challenge made in February claiming Hogg and another official were improperly elected. The DNC will vote later this year on whether to remove Hogg."[Its] impossible to ignore the broader context of my work to reform the party which loomed large over this vote," Hogg said in a statement after the vote, according to Politico. "The DNC has pledged to remove me, and this vote has provided an avenue to fast-track that effort."Monday's vote also ousted Pennsylvania state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta as DNC vice chair.Christine Pelosi, a member of the credentials committee and daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued the vote was not in reaction to their performance.DEMOCRATS' VICE CHAIR GETS ULTIMATUM: STAY NEUTRAL IN PRIMARIES OR STEP DOWN FROM PARTY LEADERSHIP"First, I want to say clearly and explicitly that this decision has nothing to do with the service of any DNC officer, especially [Hogg] or [Kenyatta]. This is about a violation of parliamentary procedure that was raised in a challenge filed back in February by another candidate for Vice Chair.""I think I speak for all of us on the Committee when I say I hope both of these talented individuals put their names on the ballot again," she said. "Well move fast to get this resolved. I have total faith in our DNC members to review this issue and vote their conscience."DEMOCRATS VICE CHAIR IGNITES CIVIL WAR, TARGETING 'ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL' INCUMBENTS IN PRIMARIESHogg's potential removal comes after he announced plans to spend $20 million to primary older Democratic lawmakers in blue districts to make room for new Democratic leaders.Hogg clashed with veteran Democratic strategist James Carville over the plan during a joint appearance on journalist Tara Palmeris podcast.Carville criticized it as "abominable" and "jacka--ery of the highest level" for prioritizing pushing out Democrats over beating Republicans. Hogg shot back that the party is capable of both. Carville demanded Hogg focus on winning elections against the GOP.Hogg insisted that the point of his strategy is to "win elections.""Its not to win an election in Queens which you dont ever run against a Republican. Its to help Democrats win elections."The two ended up burying the hatchet, with Carville posting to X that the DNC "needs him," as he "fights" for the party.Fox News' Gabriel Hays contributed to this report

No one with the last name "Allen" was listed on either the boys' or girls' roster in 2022, Allen's freshman year.A lawyer read a statement from Allen at a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association board of directors meeting back in March, saying that forcing transgender individuals to compete against those who share a biological gender will hurt their development."If you remove the ability of trans people to compete with a team that corresponds with their gender, then youll strip them of their opportunity to develop as people," Allen said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Trans athletes, like any other high school athlete, are just kids who want to compete."Allen's mother, Sarah Hansen, said at that meeting that she and her family have been on a journey for her to transition to the girl that she always has been, and having Allen compete against boys "would be cruel."MORE MAINE SCHOOLS BAN TRANSGENDER ATHLETES FROM GIRLS' SPORTS, DEFYING DEM LEADERSHIP AND SIDING WITH TRUMP"My child is a female in her heart and soul, and according to her medical labs," Hansen said."Luces presence on the team fosters a spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and inclusivity,"team head coach Christopher Jackson said at that same meeting. Children's YouTube star 'Ms. Rachel' talks to anti-Israel reporter about Gaza posts
Childrens YouTube star "Ms. Rachel" appeared on anti-Israel journalist Mehdi Hasans Zeteo news Monday to explain why she has been so outspoken about Israels war against Hamas.Rachel Griffin Accurso, who goes by "Ms. Rachel" on her popular YouTube channel, which has 14.7 million subscribers, has shared several posts about the war's effects on Palestinian children."Over 14,000 precious children have been un-alived in Gaza. Gaza has the largest number of child amputees in history. We cant be silent about these kinds of conditions for children," Accurso posted to her TikTok channel in Dec. 2024, echoing the Hamas-run Gaza health ministrys casualty statistics.UN REVISES GAZA DEATH TOLL, ALMOST 50% LESS WOMEN AND CHILDREN KILLED THAN PREVIOUSLY REPORTEDLast month, the Hamas-controlled agency's numbers were revised down by thousands and an analysis of those numbers found that 72% of those killed between the ages of 13 and 55 were males."As a teacher, you care about all kids. And I think with so many years of teaching, you just see them all as so similar. They all love to laugh, and they love to learn, and they love to play, and they deserve to play," Accurso told Hasan, who previously worked for Qatar-funded Al Jazeera and MSNBC.Hasan has been a harsh critic of the Jewish State, accusing the IDF of killing "hungry people" and comparing it to the regimes of Russia's Vladimir Putin and ousted Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.In 2021, Hasan rushed to defend Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who suggested the U.S. and Israel were just as guilty of "war crimes" as terrorist groups like Hamas and the Taliban. He also defended Omar after allegations of antisemitic rhetoric online in 2019.CONSERVATIVE PARENTS CALL TO BOYCOTT 'MS. RACHEL' OVER LATEST PRIDE MONTH VIDEO: 'KIDS LOOK UP TO' HERCritics have asserted that the "Songs for Littles" crooner is not merely speaking out for vulnerable children, but is in fact trying to indoctrinate kids into a far-left, anti-Israel ideology.Accurso allegedly did not immediately speak out against Hamas horrific Oct. 7 terrorist attacks, which saw 38 children killed, seven of whom were between zero and six years old, and 42 children taken hostage.Instead, she waited until after Israel began its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip 12 days later to issue a statement, according to a column in the New York Post.FUNERAL HELD FOR SHIRI BIBAS AND HER SONS AFTER THEIR REMAINS HANDED OVER BY HAMAS"Her increasingly politicized online presence should concern parents. Ms. Rachel has a moral compass but it only points leftward," New York Post columnist Bethany Mandel wrote. The group StopAntisemitism last month urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an investigation into Accurso to probe whether she is being paid to spread Hamas propaganda, the New York Post also reported.Ms. Rachel denied the accusations as "absurd" and "completely false," in a statement to Fox News Digital."It's sad that someone would take compassion for children suffering immeasurably and try to make it controversial. All of my work grows from my care for all children and wanting them to have everything they need to grow and thrive. They can't do that if they are denied food, safety, medical care or the love and care of their families. In a time of so much division, the more we can see the humanity of people who are different from us, the better," she told Fox News Digital.Accurso defended her advocacy for children impacted by the war in Gaza to Hasan, saying that as a mother herself, she couldnt stay silent."Its sad that people try to make it controversial when you speak out for children that are facing immeasurable suffering. I think it should be controversial to not say anything," Accurso said. "The idea that caring for a group of children in an emergency situation means you dont care about other children is false."
