Jake Tapper calls out Trump, says he 'has not been transparent about his health records'
CNN's Jake Tapper, co-author of the new book on the alleged cover-up of former President Joe Bidens health decline, says President Donald Trump is not forthcoming with his health information."I just think in general, not Trump specific, but in general, I think that the press corps, and Im certainly including myself, needs to worry less about politeness when it comes to these health issues and needs to be even more aggressive when it comes to demanding transparency on health issues," Tapper said Thursday on "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."On Tuesday, Tappers book, "Original Sin," co-authored withAxios journalist Alex Thompson, was published.BIDEN INSIDER WAS REPORTEDLY 'AMAZED' AT THE MEDIA COVERAGE THEY WERE ABLE TO SPINThe book looks in part at the efforts made by top Biden aides and allies to hide the truth about Bidens mental and physical health, providing a depiction of a president who was routinely addled during his term.During his discussion with co-author Thompson and Blitzer, Tapper said he doesnt think Trump, 78, is being fully open about his own health."When it comes to the president, President Trump, while he appears healthy, he has not been transparent about his health records," Tapper said. "And I think that thats something that the American people have a right to."Tapper has received mounting criticism from observers who believe he was part of the alleged cover-up by dismissing and underreporting clear signs of Biden's decline, like the rest of the liberal media. The CNN anchor has been on multiple shows admitting to failures in how the reporting on Bidens health was done, and critics have said he is now profiting off that failure. On April 13, 2025, theWhite House released the results of Trumps physical exam conducted on April 11.RESULTS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP'S PHYSICAL RELEASED, HERE'S WHAT THEY SAY"President Donald J. Trump underwent his annual physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,"Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, the physician to the president, said in a statement released by the White House."I performed and supervised the comprehensive exam, which included diagnostic and laboratory testing, as well as consultations with fourteen specialty consultants, all in accordance with U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations,"Barbabella added. "The President has consented to release the physical exam findings to the public."The summary of the examination noted that Trump "remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function," and that his "active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being."In June 2024, the Wall Street Journalpublished its explosive story about how some lawmakers began questioning Biden's health, and the debate surrounding the issue became increasingly heated, with staff and lawmakers insisting that Biden was in good health, althoughsome have since come out and shared stories that made them doubt that he was healthy.Rep. Mike Quigley, D-Ill., told Tapper of his trip with Biden to the Emerald Isle inApril 2023 that reminded him of his own ailing father, who had Parkinsons. On Sunday, Bidens prostate cancer diagnosiswas announced, with his spokesperson telling Fox News days later that the last time he received a blood test that screens for prostate cancer wasin 2014.

Satellite images reveal North Korea's mangled naval destroyer after failed launch
Satellite imagery captured what remained of a mangled 5,000-ton North Korean naval destroyer damaged during its launch ceremony this week, leaving the country's dictator distraught.A photo captured by Maxar Technologies of the northeastern port of Chongjin, shows the ship apparently twisted and lying on its side, partly lodged on a launch slip and partly submerged in water. The secretive communist nation covered the would-be warship with a blue tarp.KIM JONG-UN LEFT FUMING AFTER NORTH KOREA'S NEW DESTROYER DAMAGED IN FAILED LAUNCHMexar Technologies also snapped a satellite photo of the ship before the launch, looking pristine as it prepared for its first voyage. But that voyage was put on hold after a flatcar guiding the ship failed to move during the launch, throwing the warship off balance and crushing parts of its bottom before its stern eventually slid down the launch slipway into the water, state media reported.North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un was reportedly fuming over the botched launch, which was intended to show the nation's military might but instead became an embarrassment on the world stage.State media also reported on Kim's fury.KIM JONG UN SUPERVISES NORTH KOREA'S AIR DRILLS, PUSHES FOR ENHANCED WAR PREPARATIONHe reportedly blamed military officials, scientists and shipyard operators for a "serious accident and criminal act caused by absolute carelessness, irresponsibility and unscientific empiricism."The extent of the damage to the destroyer is unclear, though Kim demanded that repairs be completed before the communist Working Party's meeting in June. The dictator, known for his brutality as much as his secrecy, ominously warned that during that meeting, mistakes caused by the "irresponsibility of the relevant officials" would be investigated.Under Kim's rule, North Korea has been focused on building an arsenal of military weapons in what it regards as a response to western aggression. In March, Kim personally oversaw tests of AI-powered suicide drones, unmanned exploding drones that can be used to launch an attack without putting the attackers' lives in danger. He reportedly called for an increase in production of those drones. He also recently claimed the country was in the process of building a nuclear submarine. In its first real showing of military force since the Korean War in the 1950s, an estimated 15,000 troops were sent to Russia to fight alongside the fellow communist nation in its war against Ukraine.South Korea claimed in late April that 600 of those troops had been killed.
