Days after being arrested for his alleged involvement in a 2023 London nightclub attack, Chris Brown has been released on bail.On Wednesday, a British judge ordered the Grammy-winning singer released on $6.7 million bail, despite another judge previously ordering him to be held in custody until his next hearing, initially scheduled for June 13.The latest decision frees Brown to kick off his world tour next month. I'm a progressive Democrat fighting Medicaid cuts. And I just joined Trump's Truth Social to do it
I am a proud progressive Democrat, so some people might be surprised to see me joining Donald Trumps Truth Social social media platform this week.Let me explain. This week, House Republicans are trying to pass Trumps Big Beautiful Bill, which would take away health care from more than8.6 million Americansthrough Medicaid cuts, even though just6% of Americanssupport cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, according to a recent Fox News poll.Washington Republicans arent just out of touch with Democrats and Independents on this just11% of Republicanvoters support cuts, but nearly 100% of House Republicans are pushing a bill that would make thebiggest Medicaid cut in American history.WAYS AND MEANS CHAIR: 'REPEAT VERIFICATION FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ON MEDICAID WOULD SAVE ALMOST $200B'If Republicans are going to push forward massive cuts to programs like Medicaid, Democrats cant just preach to the choir. We need to be reaching out to working people of all stripes and political parties who could face these cuts. I know most users of Truth Social are more conservative than I am and disagree with me on some issues, but I also know that many agree with me that billionaires have too big an influence in our politics and we shouldnt be cutting programs like Medicaid and Social Security to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy. When I think about how to reach out to people who disagree with me on some issues, I think back to how I started my career: as a labor organizer. I worked on construction sites to unify workers who disagreed on a lot of issues but could all come together to demand better wages or working conditions from their bosses.SEN ELIZABETH WARREN: SOCIAL SECURITY IS UNDER ATTACK. GUTTING IT IS A BROKEN PROMISEThat is what I think we need to be doing as Democrats: reaching out to people who may not agree with us on every issue but who are concerned that Republicans in Washington are cutting programs for working people to pay for billionaire tax cuts. Its not just Medicaid. Look at Social Security. In the same Fox poll, only 5% of Americans want it cut, but President Donald Trump has empowered people like Elon Musk, whocalledit a "Ponzi scheme," and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, whosaidonly "fraudsters" would complain about missing a check. And they have fired so many people that the former head of the Social Security Administrationwarnsthe system could "collapse."Of course, joining a social media site will not solve our problems. We should be communicating with more conservative voters wherever we can thats why Ive appeared on Fox News and why Ive traveled to three red congressional districts to hold in-person town halls where Republican members of Congress have not held them for their own constituents.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONOf course, I also often talk to progressive media and post on platforms like BlueSky. And its not just about where we go: we have to make sure people know we are fighting for the working class and are willing to take on big money and special interests. We also need to make sure people know they are welcome in the Democratic Party even if they do not agree with us on every issue. I am a progressive Democrat and I do not plan on changing or obscuring my position on anything, but I want people to know that we are focused on making the lives of all working class people better. That means we as Democrats need to sound less judgmental and more focused on the issues that matter most to peoples lives, like the GOP cuts to Medicaid and Social Security.Even if you disagree with me on some issues, if you oppose these cuts to Medicaid and Social Security and want to take back our government from the billionaire class, I want to talk to you and figure out where we can work together.Im happy to do that on whatever platform youre on.

Florida activist calls for Satanology banners at public schools citing First Amendment
    T. Chaz Stevens, founder of the religion he calls "Satanology," is calling for Brevard Public Schools to display banners at five high schools in Brevard County, Florida. The Florida activist, who runs REVOLT boot camp, is seeking to place banners promoting what he calls the Church of Satanology and Perpetual Soire at Heritage High School, Melbourne High School, Palm Bay Magnet High School, Rockledge High School and Viera High School.PRO-TRANS ATHLETE PROTESTERS CHANT 'HAIL SATAN!' AT GIRLS DURING CALIFORNIA SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGStevens is requesting that the school district put up banners promoting Satanology after noticing a Trinity Church banner hanging on the fence outside the football stadium at Palm Bay Magnet High School in Melbourne, Florida. In an interview with Fox News, Stevens also stated that he is seeking to advertise Satanology on the electronic signs."They have an electronic sign and on the electronic sign: Palm Bay Magnet High School thanks the church. So were going to ask today, the school board, to put us up. Not only the banners on the chain link fence, but also on the electronic billboards," Stevens said. The activist raised a similar complaint in Broward County, Florida, which resulted in the removal of similar banners at public schools.SATANIC LEADER ARRESTED AFTER BLACK MASS, SCUFFLE AT KANSAS STATEHOUSE: 'A DESPICABLE ACT'"I am not a lawyer but I have filed pro se court cases in federal court against Broward County school districts," he explained. "Where Broward County did basically the same kind of thing and while I lost in courtbut unexpectedly, Broward County revisedbecause of my effortsBroward County revised their policy and has taken down the church banners on the chain link fence."The banner Stevens is seeking to display promotes the religion he founded, the "Ministry of Chaz the Bropostle and his Bro-Minions," and contains the motto, "Satan loves the First Amendment."When asked if he is pursuing freedom for all religions or to display his own banner only, Stevens responded that the First Amendment says, "All or none.' So it's everyone or no one. But they have a third case, what they are doing right now, which is some.'"He continues, "What I want is the separation of Church and State. No banners on the chain link fence. But if they're going to allow some, they've got to put me up."The Trinity Church of Melbourne uses the high school as its location and displays its hours of service on an electronic sign as well as on a banner on the school's fence. Stevens states that he views the banner as an advertisement and that the school created what he describes as a "limited public forum" when the banner was displayed.Stevens' website lists his recent projects as the "Satan or Silence" project, "In God We Trust" posters, "10 Commandments" posters, and a campaign to "ban Bibles" in all 63 Florida school districts.SATANIC TEMPLE'S NATIVITY DISPLAY IN NEW HAMPSHIRE DESTROYED, DEM REP CALLS FOR NEW DISPLAYWhen asked if he has activist projects for other religions or solely Christianity, Stevens responded, "We've had a problem with Christianity being the majority voice throughout our entire history.""The great majority of America self-describes as Christians," he said. "The powerful majority voice by great numbers are the Christians.""And when you look at the church banners that are going up, these aren't church banners for Islam. These aren't church banners for Wiccans. These aren't church banners for the Druids. If the Druids were doing this I'd be going after the Druids. The people that are doing this are Christians."Fox News reached out to Brevard County School District but has yet to receive a response.

Louisiana attorney general expects more arrests in New Orleans jail escape investigation
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill believes an investigation into how 10 inmates escaped a New Orleans jail will lead to arrests of more people on the inside, she told "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday morning.Murrill said that authorities are continuing to investigate how exactly the 10 inmates were able to escape and added that she expects more arrests of those on the inside who might have assisted."There certainly will be more consequences from this event. We just have to be methodical in the investigation," she said.Authorities said Tuesday that one jail employee, Sterling Williams, was arrested and accused of helping the inmates escape.FIFTH ESCAPED INMATE FROM NEW ORLEANS JAIL RECAPTURED AFTER DAYS ON THE RUNMurrill also said that despite the time that has passed since 10 inmates escaped from the Orleans County Correctional Facility on Friday morning, law enforcement continues to follow up on credible leads and believes the remaining five escapees are still in the area."I've notified neighboring state officials that they could have headed in that direction, but my gut says that they're probably staying close to home unless they have significant resources somewhere else," Murrill said. "You're just unlikely to go somewhere where you have zero support and help, most of these, if not all of these individuals grew up in New Orleans."So far, all the recaptured inmates have been found in New Orleans."They were young children, really, during the time of Hurricane Katrina," said Murrill. "Their resources are here, so I really expect that they are staying around here and the longer this goes on, the more dependent they are on trying to find people to help them. There's a pretty large reward out, and I'm confident that we're going to collect them all."It's a process, and there are a lot of people involved in the process, but they've been effective, and they are gathering people up."LOUISIANA JAIL WORKER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY HELPING 10 INMATES ESCAPE ORLEANS PARISH FACILITYLouisiana State Police (LSP) announced 19-year-old Corey Boyd's capture Tuesday night, saying that he was found in New Orleans. On Wednesday morning, an updated LSP Facebook post said Boyd was "transported to a secure state correctional facility outside of the area" and that he has been charged with simple escape.Boyd was one of two men captured on surveillance footage in the French Quarter of New Orleans on Friday morning, just hours after the brazen breakout. He is accused of killing a man named Brandon Fees during a car burglary in 2024 and was in jail awaiting trial on charges of second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery and threatening a public official before the escape.Boyd's arrest was Tuesday's second major development in the case that has captured nationwide attention.LOUISIANA GOVERNOR BLASTS 'PROGRESSIVE PROMISES' AFTER NEW ORLEANS JAIL ESCAPEEarlier in the day, police arrested 33-year-old Williams, an employee of the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office, and charged him with 10 counts of principal to simple escape and one count of malfeasance in office. He was assessed a $1.1 million bond, $100,000 for each charge, according to Murrill's office.According to an arrest affidavit, Williams claims he was coerced into participating via violent threats."LBI Agents were assigned to review information in attempt to determine if anyone, from the OPSO staff or outside personnel, assisted in the escape.During a mirandized interview with Williams, he explained to Agents that he turned the water off from the outside pipe walk area on the exterior of cell 6 under direction of a light skinned black male with tattoos on his face, whom he named as 'Massey,' formally known as Antoine Massey, who threatened to shank him if he did not turn the water off," the affidavit said.According to Fox 8, Massey has a history of escaping from custody."There isn't an ounce of this man's history that doesn't say escape," Matt Dennis of ASAP Electronic Monitors, which provides ankle monitoring services, told the outlet. "He had no intention of wearing an ankle monitor."The five men who remain on the run are:Fox News Digital reached out to the Louisiana State Police, Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office and FBI New Orleans for comment.Fox News' Adam Sabes and Michael Dorgan contributed to this report.

Sanders, Warren warn Paramount that settling Trump lawsuit could be illegal bribery act
Sen.Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., penned an ominous letter this week to Paramount Global controlling shareholder Shari Redstone, suggesting settling President Donald Trumps lawsuit against CBS News could be illegal under the federal bribery statute.Trump is seeking $20 billion from CBS News and its parent company, Paramount Global, for what he alleged was election interference with how "60 Minutes" edited its interview with then-Vice PresidentKamala Harrisin the weeks leading up to the presidential election. The two sides have entered mediation in hopes of reaching a settlement, and Redstone is widely believed to be open to a deal ahead of a planned multibillion-dollar merger with Skydance Media that could be halted by Trumps Federal Communications Commission (FCC).Warren, Sanders and Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., cautioned Redstone that a quid pro quo arrangement leading to a settlement could break the law in a letter sent on Monday."We write to express serious concern regarding the possibility that media company Paramount Global (Paramount) may be engaging in improper conduct involving the Trump Administration in exchange for approval of its megamerger with Skydance Media (Skydance). Paramount appears to be trying to settle a lawsuit that it has assessed as completely without merit, and moderating the content of its programs in order to obtain approval of this merger," their letter addressed to Redstone began.60 MINUTES CALLS OUT CORPORATE OWNER PARAMOUNT ON THE AIR, SAYS PRODUCER WHO QUIT FELT INTERFERED WITH"Under the federal bribery statute, it is illegal to corruptly give anything of value to public officials to influence an official act. If Paramount officials make these concessions in a quid pro quo arrangement to influence President Trump or other Administration officials, they may be breaking the law," the letter continued. "We request information regarding whether Paramount is making concessions to President Trump in exchange for favorable action by his Administration."The lawmakers then noted that CBS previously filed a motion to dismiss Trumps lawsuit and referred to it as "an affront to the First Amendment" and declared it was "without basis in law or fact."They said Paramount appeared to be trying to "appease" the Trump administration to secure merger approval.Warren, Sanders and Wyden noted that FCC Chair Brendan Carr stated Trumps CBS lawsuit was "likely to arise in the context of the FCC review of [the Paramount-Skydance] transaction," and "Paramount is reportedly in talks to settle the lawsuit."60 MINUTES' PRODUCER'S ABRUPT EXIT FUELS DRAMA AT CBS NEWS AS NETWORK BATTLES TRUMP LAWSUITThe lawmakers cited veteran CBS News correspondent Scott Pelley, who recently told CBS viewers that "Paramount began to supervise our content in new ways" as the company is "trying to complete a merger." The letter also referenced the recent resignations of CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon and "60 Minutes" executive producer Bill Owens, who both criticized corporate overlords on their way out."Paramounts scheme to curry favor with the Trump Administration has compromised journalistic independence and raises serious concerns of corruption and improper conduct," Warren, Sanders and Wyden wrote. "Paramounts apparent capitulation to President Trump is a sharp contrast from its earlier position that it would vigorously defend against the lawsuit."Warren, Sanders and Wyden gave Redstone until June 2 to answer nine specific questions, including "Does Paramount believe the lawsuit filed by then-candidate Trump against CBS has merit?"CBS ANCHORS SALUTE OUTGOING '60 MINUTES' PRODUCER, SAY EFFORT TO SETTLE TRUMP LAWSUIT TIED TO CORPORATE MERGERThey also want to know if Redstone or other board members have discussed a settlement, if the merger was discussed during these conversations, and if "60 Minutes" has been asked by Paramount officials to change content to facilitate merger approval.Paramount did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Fox News Digital.FCC Chair Carr did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Fox News Digital.

Hansen has been the lead singer of Foreigner since 2005.Mick Jones is the only founding member still with the band. Current members include Maldonado, Bruce Watson, Michael Bluestein, Chris Frazier and Jeff Pilson."In 1976, my goal was to assemble the finest group of musicians I could find. About 30 years later, Jason Bonham encouraged me to do it all over again and create a brand-new Foreigner, and the magic was still there," Jones said per Rolling Stone."I was especially fortunate in the choice of lead singer," Jones continued. "Kelly Hansen is one of the best front men in our business and over the last twenty years he has breathed new life into our songs.""I wish Kelly great happiness in his next endeavors after our summer tour, and I look forward to welcoming Luis to his new position," Jones added. He will soon lead the charge that will carry us forward to new heights."FOREIGNER OVERCAME PRESSURE, FEUDS BEFORE SCORING MUSIC'S HIGHEST HONORSince their music career launched in 1976, the English-American rockers skyrocketed to fame with major hits, including "Cold as Ice" and "I Want to Know What Love Is."In October, Hansen and founding member Greenwood spoke with Fox News Digital about the highs and lows of touring, how health challenges have impacted the band, and what its like to receive one of "musics highest honors" ahead of their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER"When you're starting out in a band, and you're trying to be popular, there's a lot of pressure on you. But you get over it.""A band is really a family. You have all different personalities and everybody's got to fit together, and you perform every night it's work, and it's pleasure," Greenwood continued.During the course of their 50-year music career, several band members suffered from serious health issues: Gagliardi and McDonald died from cancer in 2014 and 2022, respectively; Gramm was diagnosed with a type of brain tumor in 1997; and Jones is currently battling Parkinsons disease.Fox News Digital's Stephanie Giang-Paunon contributed to this post.
