113 House Dems vote against GOP resolution to condemn Boulder attack on pro-Israel activists
    www.foxnews.com
More than 100 Democrats voted against a House GOP-led resolution to condemn the accused terror attack in Boulder, Colorado. It passed 280-113, with 75 Democrats joining Republicans to vote for the bill. Six lawmakers, five Democrats and one Republican, voted "present."The legislation was introduced by Rep. Gabe Evans, R-Colo., last week in response to the attack. But Democrat lawmakers made clear they were opposed to language in the resolution that they felt was politically charged. In addition to condemning the attack, Evans' resolution also appeared to rebuke blue-leaning sanctuary jurisdictions that were at odds with federal immigration authorities, and he condemned illegal immigrants who overstay their visas as well.A second bill, led by Reps. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., and Joe Neguse, D-Colo., more broadly condemned the rise in antisemitic attacks in the U.S. That legislation netted much wider bipartisan support, passing 400-0, with just two lawmakers voting "present."HOUSE GOP TARGETS ANOTHER DEM OFFICIAL ACCUSED OF BLOCKING ICE AMID DELANEY HALL FALLOUTBut Evans' resolution more specifically noted that the case of terror suspect Mohammed Sabry Soliman, who overstayed a tourist visa and a subsequent work authorization, "demonstrates the dangers of not removing from the country aliens who fail to comply with the terms of their visas."The Egyptian national is facing federal charges after allegedly attempting to set fire to peaceful demonstrators who were protesting Hamas' continued possession of Israeli hostages in Gaza. The Trump administration has vowed that he and his family will be deported from the U.S.Evans' resolution also "affirms that free and open communication between State and local law enforcement and their Federal counterparts remains the bedrock of public safety and is necessary in preventing terrorist attacks" and it "expresses gratitude to law enforcement officers, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland."It comes as Democrat-controlled cities like Los Angeles and Nashville, Tennessee, have seen their leaders criticize the Trump administration's ICE crackdown. The Trump administration's handling of anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles has spurred an outpouring of scorn from Democrat officials, particularly the decision to send National Guard troops in to break up the demonstrations.House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., criticized Evans' resolution in comments to reporters on Monday."Who is this guy? He's not seriously concerned with combating antisemitism in America. This is not a serious effort," Jeffries said. "Antisemitism is a scourge on America. It shouldn't be weaponized politically."Jeffries also called Evans "a joke."Evans responded on X, "I served our nation in uniform in the Middle East, as a cop in Colorado, & now as a Congressman. This wildly offensive sentiment from Democrats Leader is why antisemitism persists. The Left is unserious about finding real solutions."Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., who is Jewish, also criticized Evans' resolution.MEET THE TRUMP-PICKED LAWMAKERS GIVING SPEAKER JOHNSON A FULL HOUSE GOP CONFERENCE"You weren't here, Mr. Evans, last term, but there were about 10 antisemitism resolutions that effectively said the same thing solely to score political points. We Jews are sick and tired of being used as pawns," Goldman said during debate on the bill. But Van Drew, who is leading a bipartisan resolution that similarly condemns antisemitism but does not discuss immigration, defended Evans' measure."Yes, it is different than mine. Mine focused purely on antisemitism here in the world. But he brings up a valid point not only for Jews, but for many innocent victims. Whether it was Laken Riley, whether it was the women that were raped, the women and men that were killed, those that were beaten, those that were hurt, who were in law enforcement. Illegal immigration is not a good thing," Van Drew said. The two lawmakers who voted "present" on Van Drew's resolution were Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.Greene wrote on X after the vote, "Antisemitic hate crimes are wrong, but so are all hate crimes. Yet Congress never votes on hate crimes committed against white people, Christians, men, the homeless, or countless others. Tonight, the House passed two more antisemitism-related resolutions, the 20th and 21st Ive voted on since taking office. Meanwhile, Americans from every background are being murdered even in the womb and Congress stays silent."

Charlamagne claims he hadn't heard about 'any ruckus or violence' in LA riot until National Guard arrived
    www.foxnews.com
Radio host Charlamagne tha God said on Monday that he had not seen evidence that the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles were violent enough to call for bringing in the National Guard. On Saturday, prior to President Donald Trump deploying the National Guard, tear gas was used near Home Depot in Paramount, California, where Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were allegedly conducting a raid. Following the raid, a violent protest broke out and several arrests were made for assault on a federal agent, according to U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael W. Banks.Rioters have also reportedly engaged in throwing large rocks at a motorcade, smashing windows of the Los Angeles Police Department's (LAPD's) headquarters on West 1st Street and setting several cars on fire.CALIFORNIA REPUBLICANS SLAM NEWSOM, BASS FOR LETTING LA BURN WITH RIOTS AMID TRUMP IMMIGRATION BLITZCharlamagne, however, claimed to be unaware of such activity, arguing that Trump had fulfilled his "worst" expectations from his critics."Trump really wasted no time doing the worst of everything folks thought he would," the radio host said. "Like, you cant put the military on protesters. Did I miss something? Were they not being peaceful? Because I didnt hear about any ruckus or violence until the National Guard showed up!"DJ Envy, one of his co-hosts, replied, "I did see onevideo, I guess it was a protester throwing rocks or bricks at cars as I guess they were agents when they were driving by.""But did that call for the National Guard?" Charlamagne replied.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURECo-host Morgyn Wood acknowledged that "it got very volatile over there," but still referred to the riot as having been a peaceful protest."But to your point, I mean, but this isnt the first time hes done this. He did this, you know, back in 2020 following the death of George Floyd and the protest that happened here in Washington D.C., so he's no stranger to calling his own military, his own the National Guard, in for protesters, as you said, peaceful protesters at that," she said.

"Call Her Daddy" podcast host Alex Cooper accused former Boston University soccer coach Nancy Feldman of sexual harassment in her forthcoming documentary set to appear on Hulu."Call Her Alex" goes through Coopers career as a high schooler to wildly successful podcast host and influencer. But she revealed in the film there was a dark side to her life growing up.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMCooper went to Boston University to play soccer for the Terriers from 2013-2015. She revealed in the documentary she left the team before her senior season. She appeared in 21 games for Boston University in her junior and sophomore seasons and played 19 in her freshman year.As the film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday, Deadline reported that Cooper said she was sexually harassed by Feldman which led to her leaving the team.Cooper said the alleged incidents started her sophomore year, claiming that Feldman started to focus more on her personal life than her sporting life. She said Feldman asked her questions about her sex life and would put her hand on her leg."I started to notice her really starting to fixate on me way more than any other teammate of mine," she said in the documentary. "And it was confusing because the focus wasnt like, Youre doing so well, lets get you on the field, youre gonna be a starter.FAN DIES AFTER FALL DURING NATIONS LEAGUE FINAL BETWEEN SPAIN AND PORTUGAL"It was all based on (Feldman) wanting to know who I was dating, her making comments about my body and her always wanting to be alone with me."Cooper said she would try to avoid Feldman, but the coach would retaliate by cutting her playing time. She reportedly opened up more about the incident in a question-and-answer session following the documentarys debut."And the minute I stepped back on the field, I felt so small," she said, via Deadline. FBI will investigate 'any evidence of a criminal conspiracy' in LA riots
    www.foxnews.com
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said on Monday that it will look into any organized effort to create chaos in Los Angeles, as anti-ICE riots occurred over the weekend."We're investigating anyone who crosses the line from first-amendment protected activity to violence and are prepared to prosecute anyone who assaults a federal officer or causes damage to government property," Laura Eimiller, media coordinator for the FBIs Los Angeles Field Office, told Fox News Digital in an email."LAPD, as you know, is also making arrests for unlawful assembly. Obviously, any evidence of a criminal conspiracy will be investigated," she continued.HOUSE DEMS TRY TO BLAME TRUMP FOR LOS ANGELES VIOLENCE DESPITE MONTHS OF ANTI-ICE RHETORICDozens have been arrested in Los Angeles as cars have been burned and tensions between rioters and law enforcement tended to escalate later in the day over the weekend, and more unrest could occur on Monday night.President Donald Trump has sent in National Guard troops to reign in the riots, which the state of California is suing over, as Democratic leaders argue it's only instigating.Andy Ngo of The Post Millennial reported that Antifa and others are likely playing a role in the riots, as Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said that shell be introducing legislation to "designate ANTIFA as a terrorist organization."FBI SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT WHO ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTED FEDERAL OFFICER DURING ANTI-ICE RIOTS IN LOS ANGELESOn Monday during a press conference announcing a lawsuit against the Trump administration for deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles, California Attorney General Rob Bonta told Fox News Digital he acknowledged that "outside folks" will "sometimes embed themselves or use the protest as cover.""If you don't follow the law, we will find you, and we will come for you, and we will hold you accountable," Bonta said.CLICK HERE FOR MORE IMMIGRATION COVERAGEAs for non-violent protests, many of the demonstrations stem from left-wing groups, including the Service Employees International Union, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. The SEIU has organized anti-ICE rallies across the country following the arrest of the unions California president, David Huerta, as he is facing federal charges for allegedly getting in the way of an ICE crackdown. Panthers and Oilers engage in all-out brawl as Florida takes control of Stanley Cup Final in Game 3 victory
    www.foxnews.com
While fighting is a regularity in the NHL, theres a low percentage of it happening in Stanley Cup Playoff games.Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, though, saw an all-out brawl in the Florida Panthers lopsided victory over the Edmonton Oilers to take a 2-1 lead in the series. In their first home game of the best-of-seven series, the Panthers took full advantage, and the Oilers tried to get even in a physical way instead of on the scoreboard.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe game was already 5-1 in favor of Florida when things were getting more chippy on the ice. It reached a different level when Edmonton forward Trent Federic started to pick on Sam Bennett to the point where he cross-checked him down to the ice, and Bennett retaliated with some punches as he got on top of Federic. That initial fight led every player on the ice to find a partner to duel with, and the referees simply let the brawl play itself out. The Oilers Darnell Nurse and the Panthers Jonah Gadjovich clutched each others sweaters and were throwing haymakers, while Floridas A.J. Greer dueled with Edmontons Mattias Ekholm. After the fights fizzled out, Nurse, Godjovich, Bennett, Federic, Greer and Ekholm were all called for game misconducts and sent off the ice for the remainder of the game.STANLEY CUP FINAL: FLORIDA PANTHERS EVEN UP SERIES AFTER THRILLING 2OT WIN AGAINST EDMONTON OILERSBut, with nearly half of the third period still to play, the tension between these two teams vying for Lord Stanleys Cup didnt stop. It mainly came from the Oilers, as Evander Kane was sent off the ice for the night after slashing Carter Verhaeghe in the face while he was down on the ice.More penalties would be had as the clock kept ticking down, and at that point, both teams were just hoping no one would get hurt with much of this series left to play. Even at the final buzzer, Oilers star Corey Perry started jousting with multiple Panthers players, as fans started throwing debris onto the ice.In the end, the Panthers responded to all the over-physical play by the Oilers with a power-play goal to cap their 6-1 victory, as Evan Rodrigues hammered home a shot.Other than the fights, some tremendous offensive hockey was on display by Florida from the get-go, as Brad Marchand potted one past Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner just under one minute into the game.Marchand became the oldest player in NHL history to score in each of the first three Stanley Cup Finals games. But he isnt the only player to do so on his team in this series.Sam Bennett joined him in the second period after finding himself on a breakaway to the net thanks to Eetu Luostarinen intercepting an Edmonton pass at the blue line.Bennett went backhand forehand on Skinner, and buried his wrister top shelf to take a commanding 4-1 lead. Amerant Bank Arena went berserk as Bennetts goal led to an eruption of cheering on and off the ice for the Panthers.Verhaeghe also got into the goal column with a power-play goal assisted by Rodrigues and Nate Schmidt to go into the locker room up 2-0.Perry was able to get the Oilers a much-needed response with a power-play goal of his own at the beginning of the second period, but Floridas physicality, which was deemed legal by referees on the ice, ultimately led to Bennetts goal and Sam Reinharts before that.Things came off the rails for Edmonton when Florida went back on the power play, and their top unit put together a beautiful display of passing ending with Aaron Ekblads wide-open net to wrist home the teams fifth goal of the contest. It was truly a statement win for Florida, who have all types of momentum heading into Game 4 on Thursday night.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Defense attorney's dramatic courtroom move has legal experts talking in Karen Read murder trial
    www.foxnews.com
Wearing two black gloves and slamming his palms on the podium Monday, Karen Read's defense attorney Robert Alessi moved for a mistrial for a second time in her retrial on murder charges in the death of her former boyfriend, Boston cop John O'Keefe. The exchange, based on special prosecutor Hank Brennan's questioning of a defense witness regarding holes in the back of O'Keefe's sweatshirt that were put there by a state crime lab employee, got Alessi trending among true crime followers on X Monday afternoon, but it also drew praise from defense attorneys who are not connected to the case.Read's defense denies the prosecution's allegation that she killed O'Keefe by backing into him with her Lexus SUV amid a drunken argument and fled the scene. They have maintained that the vehicle never struck him at all, and that something else caused his injuries."If I'm Alessi, I'm throwing out those missiles every time," said Louis Gelormino, a New York City defense lawyer.KAREN READ JUDGE BLOCKS SANDRA BIRCHMORE MENTIONS; EXPERT SAYS CASES SHOULD BE WAKE-UP CALL FOR POLICEDuring a motion hearing without jurors present, Brennan asked the judge to instruct jurors about his error rather than grant the motion for a mistrial."It appears that I made a mistake," he said, conceding that a state criminologist made the holes and documented them in her records.Gelormino told Fox News Digital that the longer things play out, the better off Read will be especially if this trial ends without a verdict like her first one.WATCH: Karen Read defense moves for a mistrial again"A third trial, the county might not wanna pay for," he said. "They might give her a plea at that point. The longer these things go out, the better it is for the defense. All the time."KAREN READ'S DEFENSE LINKS JOHN O'KEEFE HEAD WOUND TO FALL, NOT VEHICLE IMPACTRead's first trial ended with a deadlocked jury last year, prompting Judge Beverly Cannone to declare a mistrial and the district attorney's office to bring in high-profile defense attorney Brennan as a special prosecutor. His rich and powerful clients have included the mobster James "Whitey" Bulger. The defense moved for a mistrial earlier in the second trial as well in another contentious exchange over O'Keefe's hoodie, arguing Brennan improperly brought up the absence of dog DNA evidence during cross-examination of a witness who claimed holes in O'Keefe's sweatshirt were consistent with dog bites.Cannone denied that motion as well as the new one Monday. A routine motion seeking to have her declared not guilty after the prosecution rested its case was also denied.JURY SKEPTICISM OF EXPERTS COULD DETERMINE OUTCOME IN KAREN READ MURDER TRIAL: FORMER JUDGEOther legal experts raised doubts about whether the misstep was a mistake or a calculated move."It is unfathomable that he didn't know that the holes were made by his own witness," said Mark Bederow, another New York City defense attorney who is representing Read ally Aidan Kearney, a Canton blogger. "And what about the two other prosecutors sitting next to him? Are we to believe they didn't know after handling this case for three years?"Unlike Brennan, they were working for the district attorney's office during her first trial, which assistant district attorney Adam Lally led."There are many reasons why a large segment of the population believes the investigation and prosecution of Karen Read is unjust and lacks credibility," Bederow said.GET REAL-TIME UPDATES DIRECTLY ON THE TRUE CRIME HUBCanton police were cleared of Read's conspiracy allegations in an independent audit completed just before her second trial began but they made a series of embarrassing missteps during the investigation, including storing DNA evidence in red Solo cups and a grocery bag.The lead homicide detective, Michael Proctor, lost his job with the Massachusetts State Police after another investigation found he improperly shared sensitive and confidential information in a group chat that included lewd and "inappropriate" messages about Read that were read in court.FOLLOW THE FOX TRUE CRIME TEAM ON X"The prosecution has a higher standard because they are supposed to be about fairness and justice which is what Brennan said to the press when he took the case," said Grace Edwards, a Massachusetts trial attorney who is closely following the case. "This was not a mistake by a seasoned attorney."Brennan is tasked with overcoming the state's credibility issues and also clean-up after a witness for the commonwealth admitted she gave an incorrect statement to the grand jury and the defense grilled another whose resume showed inflated credentials."He is good, but he can only play the cards hes dealt," said David Gelman, a Philadelphia-area defense lawyer and former prosecutor, who invoked OJ Simpson's high-drama 1990s trial after Alessi donned black gloves in court and then invoked his A-list defense again. "You can be Johnnie Cochran, and it wont matter."SIGN UP TO GET THE TRUE CRIME NEWSLETTERJack Lu, a former Massachusetts judge and now a law professor at Boston College, was more forgiving of the special prosecutor."To the aspiring trial lawyer-law student, it shows that even the greatest stumble," he told Fox News Digital. "What a grueling occupation."Dr. Elizabeth Laposata returns to the stand Tuesday for a second day of testimony as the defense nears an end to its case. She testified Monday that O'Keefe's skull fracture was consistent with a backward fall but something else, possibly a fist, caused the cut above his right eye.Read could face up to life in prison if convicted of the top charge of second-degree murder. She is also accused of drunken driving manslaughter and leaving the scene.

Former Dem 'super mayor' pleads the Fifth after failing to produce public records in court

A Chicago suburb's former Democratic "super mayor" is facing yet another legal hurdle after failing to produce public records from her time in office after being held in contempt of court earlier this month. In a hearing on Friday, Tiffany Henyards attorney Beau Bridley pleaded the Fifth on his clients behalf after she was ordered to hand over public records from her time in office."The smear campaign against Tiffany Henyard, which began while she was in office, continues even now that she is out of office," Bridley said in a statement to Fox News Digital.SELF-PROCLAIMED DEMOCRATIC 'SUPER MAYOR' ORDERED TO COURT AS SCANDAL-PLAGUED TENURE UNRAVELSBridley conceded that the former mayor does not have the requested document, with an Illinois judge allowing Henyards legal team to submit an affidavit in its place."The mayor has no document that the plaintiff seeks," Bridley said. "This matter is going to be resolved with a simple affidavit. The whole hearing was much ado about nothing."The hearing stems from a lawsuit filed by the Edgar County Watchdogs Inc., after the organization sued Henyard and the Village of Dolton for failing to produce financial records after the documents were requested under the Freedom of Information Act.'SUPER MAYOR TIFFANY HENYARD SKIPS DOLTON MEETINGS AS CONTROVERSIAL TENURE NEARS QUIET END"We had little doubt Ms. Henyard would use losing the election as an excuse not to produce the documents," Edward "Coach" Weinhaus, attorney for Edgar County Watchdogs, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Invoking the Fifth Amendment for a criminal investigation was an added wrinkle. The Watchdogs will keep looking for the documents even if the voters might have inadvertently thrown out the documents with the mayor."The embattled former mayor was unseated after losing her re-election bid to Jason House, who was sworn in last month. Henyard was also defeated by Illinois state Sen. Napoleon Harris in her attempt to keep her seat as Thornton Township supervisor.Henyard was thrust into the national spotlight in April 2024 after officials at Dolton Village Hall were served subpoenas from the FBI following a corruption investigation, FOX 32 Chicagoreported.
