President Trump confident Putin wants peace with Ukraine, thinks he's 'had enough' of war
Following his phone calls with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, President Donald Trump appeared confident that peace talks between the two warring nations will soon be progressing. In response to a reporters question outside the White House on Monday, Trump said that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is genuine in his seeking a peace deal."President Trump, do you think Vladimir Putin wants peace?" the reporter shouted across the lawn.Trump stopped and responded: "I do. Yes.""Do you still trust Putin?" the reporter continued, to which Trump responded: "I do."TRUMP SAYS PUTIN IS TIRED OF RUSSIA-UKRAINE WARSpeaking later that same day, after an event honoring fallen law enforcement officers in the White House, Trump said that he believes Putin has "had enough" of the war."I think he's had enough. I think he's had enough. It's been a long time. This has been going on for more than three years. When you think, it's been going on for a long time," said the president.Meanwhile, Trump seemed less confident in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Asked whether Zelenskyy is doing enough to help the peace talks process along, Trump responded: "I'd rather tell you in about two weeks from now, because I can't say yes or no.""Look, he's a strong person, Zelenskyy, a strong guy, and he's not the easiest person to deal with," said Trump. "But I think that he wants to stop, and it's a very bad thing that's happening over there. I think he wants to stop. But I could answer that question better in two weeks or four weeks from now. I hope the answer is that he wants to get it solved."RUSSIA BOMBARDS UKRAINE WITH DRONES HOURS AFTER TRUMP ANNOUNCES TALKS WITH PUTINTrump also commented on newly inaugurated Pope Leo XIV, saying he would like to help facilitate peace between the two nations. Trump said that it would be "great" to have the peace talks at the Vatican."There's tremendous bitterness, anger, and I think maybe that could help some of that anger," said Trump.Trump and Putin held a two-hour call on Monday in what the U.S. said was a push to get Russia to end its deadly war in Ukraine. Both Trump and Putin described the call in a positive light, with the Kremlin chief saying it was "frank" and "useful," but it is not immediately clear what results were achieved.Trump took to social media to praise the call as having gone "very well" and said, "Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War."RUBIO TEASES DETAILS OF POTENTIAL TRUMP, PUTIN IN-PERSON MEETING AFTER RUSSIA-UKRAINE CEASEFIRE TALKS STALL"The conditions for that will be negotiated between the two parties, as it can only be, because they know details of a negotiation that nobody else would be aware of," he added.Putin, in a statement after the call, also noted that "a ceasefire with Ukraine is possible" but "Russia and Ukraine must find compromises that suit both sides."Any concrete details on the nature of these compromises remain unclear, despite negotiation attempts in Turkey on Friday, which Trump suggested failed because he needed to negotiate with Putin first. In the lead up to the talks, Trump also spoke with Zelenskyy, along with other world leaders like U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, who said they discussed the urgent need for Putin to agree to an unconditional ceasefire or face serious repercussions, including more sanctions.TRUMP KICKS OFF 18TH WEEK IN OFFICE WITH HIGH-STAKES BID TO BROKER UKRAINE, RUSSIA PEACERussia currently occupies about 20% of Ukraine's landmass. However, the Russian military's advance has significantly slowed to a virtual stalemate. In October, Fox News Digital reported that Russia has sufferedsome 600,000 casualties in its war with Ukraine more than its losses in every conflict since World War II combined.

Hillary Clinton blasts Vance, Musk for encouraging higher birthrates, says immigrants can do that instead
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Vice President JD Vance and Elon Musk are pushing America to boost its birthrate to "return to being a Christian nation."On May 1, Clinton spoke at the Newmark Civic Life Series in Manhattan at the 92nd Street Y, New York. She argued that there is a "very blatant effort to basically send a message, most exemplified by Vance and Musk, and others, that, you know, what we really need from you women are more children and what that really means is You should go back to doing what you were born to do, which is to produce more children."Musk, who has fathered 10 children with three women, has repeatedly voiced his concerns about the threat posed by a declining population, often advocating for policies that encourage childbearing.Vance also encouraged building families during his speech at the March for Life in January, declaring, "I want more babies in the United States of America. I want more happy children in our country, and I want beautiful young men and women who are eager to welcome them into the world and eager to raise them."HILLARY CLINTON BASHES REPUBLICAN WOMEN, SAYS GOP FEMALE PRESIDENT WOULD BE 'HANDMAIDEN TO THE PATRIARCHY'White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday detailed a provision of President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill" that would codify "MAGA" savings accounts for new parents.Clinton criticized various programs Republicans have proposed to boost the American birthrate, arguing such policies have failed elsewhere. At the same time, she argued that Republicans are gutting many programs that actually help new parents."This is another performance about concerns they allegedly have for family life, but if you had read the Heritage Foundations Project 2025, despite Trump saying he knew nothing about it, if you had read it, it's all in there. It's all in there," the former first lady said in the interview."'Return to the family, the nuclear family, return to being a Christian nation, return to producing a lot of children' which is sort of odd because the people who produce the most children in our country are immigrants, and they want to deport them. So none of this adds up," she continued.Clinton also argued that immigrants, whether legal or illegal, have made the American economy exceptional by adding to the workforce, while other countries have struggled with demographic decline."One of the reasons why our economy did so much better than comparable advanced economies across the world is because we actually had a replenishment, because we had a lot of immigrants, legally and undocumented, who had a, you know, larger than normal - by American standards - families," she said.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE"So, this is just another one of their, you know, Make America Great Again by returning to the lifestyles and the economic arrangements of not just the 1950s, I mean, let's keep going back as far as we can. And, you know, see what happens," Clinton added.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPThis is the latest example of Clinton blasting pro-life Republicans as hypocritical on family issues.

Browns, rookie Shedeur Sanders finalize 4-year contract after draft slide
Shedeur Sanders was projected to go as early as No. 2 before his inexplicable draft slide. The Cleveland Browns finally selected Sanders in the fifth round of last month's NFL Draft. On Monday, the Browns said Sanders signed his rookie contract. ESPN reported that Sanders' four-year rookie deal is valued at $4.6 million. The latest NFL collective bargaining agreement introduced fixed rookie pay scales, which effectively eliminates negotiations. Since Sanders was the 144th overall pick, he was slotted to earn $4.6 million on his first contract.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe Browns also confirmed Sanders will wear the No. 12 during the 2025 season. Sanders wore No. 2 at Colorado, but Cleveland wide receiver DeAndre Carter had already claimed the No. 2 jersey.BROWNS' SHEDEUR SANDERS SAYS HE WON'T BUY COLLEGE JERSEY NUMBER FROM TEAMMATE, CITES MODEST SIGNING BONUSThere was some speculation Sanders could make an offer to Carter to regain his college football number. But Sanders hinted that his modest signing bonus would prevent him from pursuing his old number."My signing bonus aint that high right now," Sanders said.Spotrac estimated that Sanders' signing bonus will clock in at just over $446,000.The total value of Sanders' contract is worth less than his reported name, image, and likeness (NIL) valuation that he amassed during his college football career. Per On3, Sanders had a $6.5 million valuation while he played for Colorado.Reaching an agreement on a multi-year contract could provide Sanders with some security as he competes for a roster spot and as he attempts to work his way up the Browns' depth chart. The 23-year-old is part of a crowded quarterback room in Cleveland that features Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.Sanders finished the 2024 season at Colorado with 4,134 passing yards.Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

ESPNs Ryan Clark evokes RG3s marriage after ex-NFL star weighs in on Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese
Robert Griffin III was among those who chimed in on the latest saga in the rivalry between basketball stars Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, saying the Chicago Sky star "hates Caitlin Clark.""After watching Caitlin Clarks flagrant foul on Angel Reese and the aftermath, there is no way Angel Reese can continue the lie that she doesnt dislike Caitlin Clark," Griffin wrote on X. "I know what hatred looks like. Angel Reese HATES Caitlin Clark. Not some basketball rivalry hate either. Hate."Griffin later claimed his statement was "purely based in basketball" and was simply a "sports take."CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMTempers flared between Reese and Clark after the Fever guard committed a flagrant foul on the Sky forward. It was one of the bigger moments of Indiana's 93-58 blowout win on Saturday.Current ESPN NFL analyst and former Pittsburgh Steelers star Ryan Clark reacted to Griffin's comments on the Reese-Clark drama. Clark suggested Griffin was joining the "hate train" and was falling in line with the positions other media figures have taken."When RG3 jumps onto the hate train or the angry train, it now follows what we saw from Keith Olbermann, what we saw from Dave Portnoy, as they poured onto Angel Reese to make her the villain, and Caitlin Clark heroic or hero story," Clark said during a recent episode of his "The Pivot" podcast."The one thing we know about RG3 is hes not having conversations at his home about what Black women have to endure in this country. About what young Black women and athletes like Angel Reese have had to deal with being on the opposite side of Caitlin Clarks rise and ascension into stardom."CAITLIN CLARK SPEAKS OUT ON WNBA'S PROBE INTO ALLEGED 'HATEFUL COMMENTS' TOWARD ANGEL REESEClark then highlighted the former NFL quarterback's marriage."If youre RG3, when is the last time within your household youve had a conversation about what [Angel Reese is] dealing with?" Clark asked. "You havent been able to do that because in both of your marriages, youve been married to White women."Griffin is married to Grete Griffin, who is a native of Estonia and a heptathlete."You havent had opportunities to have those conversations to educate you on what theyre feeling, what Black women deal with, what theyre seeing when they think of a young Angel Reese. And the whole time that hes mimicking Angel Reese and bobbing his head and moving his neck while hes doing this whole piece, his wife is in the back amening and clapping."Griffin left ESPN in 2024. Multiple outlets reported at the time that Griffin's dismissal was a cost-cutting move."When I worked with RG3, he would make all of these sort of corny jokes about milk and how much he loved it and how important it was. And he always points out on social media the color of his wifes white skin. As if the color of her skin is what makes her special. As if the color of her skin is what makes her a good wife," Clark continued."Ive met the lady. Ive had a conversation with her. I think shes more than that. But it also leads to what Black women deal with a lot from Black men who have chose to date or marry outside of their race. They always feel like they have to go the extra mile to prop up the woman that they married or the woman that theyre with over Black women by denigrating Black women."Griffin caught wind of Clark's comments and took to social media to share his response."Ryan Clark personally attacking me and my family personally over a sports opinion is cowardly, spineless, and weak," Griffin wrote on X, along with a more than two-minute-long video. Griffin also stated several times that Clark's assertions were "way out of bounds."Caitlin Clark and Reese have major history, going back to the 2023 NCAA womens basketball national championship. Both players downplayed the incident.Clark told ESPNs Holly Rowe after the third quarter that there had been "nothing malicious" behind the foul.Fox News' Ryan Gaydos contributed to this report.Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Texas bill pushes strictest social media ban for minors in the nation
A bill making its way through the Texas Legislature would ban minors from accessing popular social media apps and websites in an effort to curb what a lawmaker says is an addictive and "harmful product."Republican state Rep. Jared Patterson's measure, House Bill 186, passed the Texas House with bipartisan support last month and appears poised to be pushed through by the state Senate en route to Gov. Greg Abbott's desk.In an interview with Fox News Digital on Monday, Patterson said the bill came about by speaking with multiple committees and with parents who have young kids about the effect that popular social media sites like X, TikTok, Facebook and Snapchat have on children. These committees and conversations came during the last two interims in the state Legislature that studied the issue of social media and minors."Learning more about it, we really came to the realization that this is the most harmful product that our kids have access to in terms of its addictive nature," Patterson said.NEW TEXAS LAW TAKES EFFECT REQUIRING PARENTAL APPROVAL FOR CHILDREN TO CREATE SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTSBill 186 wouldban minors from signing up for accounts on social media, require parental consent to download applications, and place warning labels about the dangers of social media.Websites that allow users to create content and share it will be considered a social media platform and thus be banned from minors. However, websites containing news and sports will be accessible for minors. While Texas isnt the first state to put some restrictions on minors' access to social media platforms, it right now would be the strictest. As of June 2024, there are 10 states that have age restriction laws on social media for minors, according to the Age Verification Providers Association.SNAPCHAT OPENLY DEFYING LAW, ALLOWING KIDS ACCESS TO HARMFUL ADDICTIVE CONTENT: FLORIDA AGCurrently, only Florida has laws banning minors from using social media, but its laws are not as strict as the proposed Texas Bill 186.Floridas age restriction is currently 14 years old, while Texass proposed limit would be for those under the age of 18.However, Patterson said the age restriction isnt set in stone."We'll see what happens with the Senate. When [the bill] left the House, people under the age of 18 will be prohibited from social media. There was broad bipartisan support when the bill left the Texas house," Patterson said. "[The Senate has] every right to adjust it to whatever it needs to get out of that body."MOMS FOR LIBERTY CO-FOUNDER SAYS CONGRESS' LATEST BILL TO PROTECT KIDS ONLINE HAS SERIOUS LOOPHOLERegardless of what changes are made, Patterson said he still feels strongly that protecting children is the No. 1 priority and that parents will realize just what exactly is happening."It starts with the understanding that these parents dont stand a chance against these algorithms," he said. "It also starts with parents understanding that these apps arent for friends sharing information with friends; they are built to harvest data and get people hooked on their products."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPPatterson said Texas will continue to "stand in the gap and protect these kids, even when these social media companies refuse to show up."They refuse to answer for the harm theyve caused, and they don't even care to answer questions in a public forum about what theyve done to our kids."
