WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrevor Noah says it's 'funny' that Charlie Kirk got shot while defending gunsFormer "Daily Show" host Trevor Noah said he found it "funny" that Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while defending guns at a speaking event at Utah Valley University last month."The guy was shot while defending guns. Do you understand how Im not even writing that as a joke as a human, you have to admit that is an incongruous funny thing that happens," Noah argued. "You are there. You're onstage, like, Let me tell you why people should have guns. Wa-pow!"Before acknowledging that he found the circumstances surrounding the TPUSA founders assassination humorous, Noah praised the Saudi Arabian government for "moving in the right direction" on civil liberties after its Riyadh Comedy Festival featured a mixed audience of men and women.FEARLESS TOUR TAKES CHARLIE KIRKS FREE SPEECH MISSION TO COLLEGES NATIONWIDEThe comedian used the Saudi comedy festival as a segue to speak about Kirk, mentioning that other comedians warned him to steer clear from saying anything about the late TPUSA founder in his act."Meanwhile, here, comedians are s----ing themselves," he told the crowd. "Dont say anything about Charlie Kirk. I wasnt going say anything about him. Yeah, but dont say anything about Charlie. I wasnt going to say anything about Charlie Kirk. But dont. Theres nothing funny about it."Oh, now you tested me," he added, before stating that "as a comedian," he was sure he could find something funny about Kirk's murder. The former "Daily Show" host called the controversy over jokes about Kirks assassination "ridiculous," noting that while theres nothing inherently funny about death, telling jokes is "literally what comedians do.""To me, it's like, 'Someone got shot.' It's not great. I didn't wish for it. But now you can't, like, terrorize your population if they dare to say something about the thing. Do you know what I mean?" Noah explained. "This is the same country where people make jokes about Abraham Lincoln being shot."JAY LENO CALLS CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION THE 'DEATH OF FREE SPEECH'Although his remarks were controversial, Noah wasn't the first comedian to praise Saudi Arabia for its civil liberties while simultaneously evoking the assassination of Kirk.In the weeks since Kirk's death, some left-wing media figures have found themselves in hot water for remarks about the killing and his alleged assassin. After the brief suspension of late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel after he appeared to falsely suggest the suspect was a MAGA supporter, many have fretted about the state of free speech in America.Comedians like Dave Chappelle poked fun at an alleged chilling effect on free speech in the U.S. after they signed contracts to do government-approved comedy acts at the Saudi Riyadh Comedy Festival.According to The New York Times, Chappelle quipped during a set that took place over the weekend, "Right now in America, they say that if you talk about Charlie Kirk, that youll get canceled. I dont know if thats true, but Im going to find out."Its easier to talk here than it is in America," he argued, later joking that if the U.S. government ever cracked down on him, the uncharacteristic phrase he would use to alert people he had been compromised would be, "I stand with Israel."JIMMY KIMMEL TEARS INTO TRUMP OVER HIS RESPONSE TO CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATIONCLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPFox News Digital has reached out to Noah's management for comment.Fox News' Alexander Hall contributed to this report.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 16 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMLions' Dan Campbell blasts 'bogus' ESPN report on Aidan Hutchinson hitsESPNs Adam Schefter reported a couple of weeks ago that the Detroit Lions reached out to the league office to monitor cut blocks on star Aidan Hutchinson, but head coach Dan Campbell was not having any of it.Hutchinson returned to action this season after breaking his tibia and fibula last season, and Schefter said in his report that the Lions reached out to the league office about low hits.Campbell, 49, called Schefters report "bogus."CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"Thats bogus. Thats a bogus report," an animated Dan Campbell told reporters Wednesday."I dont know where that came from. Nobody from here ever did that. Thats bull."Schefters report came on ESPNs "Monday Night Countdown" before the Lions beat the Baltimore Ravens 38-30 in Week 3.FORMER TEXAS STAR BIJAN ROBINSON BACKS ARCH MANNING, REMAINS CONFIDENT QB CAN RECOVER FROM SLOW START"Hes coming off the fractured tibia and fibula. If you watch his performance (in) the first two games of the year, what stands out about that is the fact that it feels like opponents have been going low on him, so much so that the Lions have raised the issue with the league office," Schefter said, according to "97.1 The Ticket.""If you go back and look at the film from the first game, take a look at how Green Bay is coming at Aidan Hutchinsons legs."Theres a few instances where this happens, where theyre going low on Hutchinson. Some of these same plays that we saw in Week 1 against Green Bay also were on display in Week 2 against the Bears. The Lions have taken notice, and theyve asked the league office to monitor the plays against Aidan Hutchinson not that it will protect him. But, clearly, other people have noticed these plays, and the Lions want the league office to notice as well."Hutchinson has been very good to begin the season for the 4-1 Lions. He has 12 total tackles with five sacks and three forced fumbles. The one-time Pro Bowler recorded 7 sacks in five games last season before getting hurt.Hutchinson will look to keep up his strong play when the Lions take on the Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET.Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 16 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMShedeur Sanders and Browns should 'part ways' if he is not named backup quarterback, ESPN's Ryan Clark saysWhen Dillon Gabriel was tabbed as the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns ahead of Week 5, Shedeur Sanderss role remained unchanged as the third-string quarterback, and Joe Flacco became the backup. However, even with Flacco now on the Cincinnati Bengals, it remains to be seen whether Sanders will get the promotion to be the backup.Head coach Kevin Stefanski would not commit to Sanders being the backup, and Bailey Zappe was elevated to the practice squad, which drew the ire of ESPN analyst Ryan Clark.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"If [Sanders] is not named the backup quarterback, it's time to part ways. It's time to trade him. It's time to get him out of your locker room. Because your plan for development is not to develop Shedeur Sanders as a future starter of your team, and too much comes with him if you don't see that sort of plan for him," Clark said on Thursday's edition of "First Take."Flacco will start for the Bengals Sunday after Jake Browning lost each of his three starts in the wake of Joe Burrow's injury."Well, first, Id tell you is the Joe trade took us by surprise," Stefanski said on Wednesday. "That was not something that we saw coming. You know, they called us, and it happened very fast and happened not too long ago. So, still working through all roster types of things. I always have to be mindful of our players and our players' development, and I want to make sure that Im always doing whats best for our players and, of course, our team. But, with young players, Im always thinking about last week, making the change to Dillon (Gabriel).ESPN PUNDITS, INCLUDING RYAN CLARK AND PAT MCAFEE, APOLOGIZE FOR CLAIMS ABOUT KYREN LACY"You have to think long and hard about that because these are young players that youre so invested in their development. So, Ill let the week play out and make a decision later on."Stefanski referred to Zappe as the "elder statesman right now" given his history of starting games for the New England Patriots. He also mentioned that Deshaun Watson is providing some leadership despite not being able to play this season.Stefanski made the move last week to have Gabriel, who was taken two rounds ahead of Sanders in April, make his first NFL start in London against the Minnesota Vikings. Gabriel threw two touchdowns in his first start, but the Vikings rallied late to beat the Browns, 21-17, and Cleveland fell to 1-4.Sanders has not commented on being stuck at third-string last week, and he pantomimed when asked about it instead. He did react to the Flacco trade, though."Im just happy for him," Sanders said. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSanders, Dem leaders dodge questions on Virginia candidate who joked about shooting GOP lawmakerSen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and top Democrats refused to answer whether they believe embattled Virginia Democratic attorney general candidate Jay Jones should drop out over violent text messages he sent, fantasizing about murdering a Republican opponent. The Virginia attorney general race, and gubernatorial race along with it, have been rocked by recent revelations that Jones, a former Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates, has made several violent remarks, including saying he wanted to shoot then-Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert.Though some Democrats, including Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, have condemned Jones messages, Sanders, perhaps the top progressive voice in America, ignored Fox News Digitals question about the texts and simply walked away.Another prominent progressive, Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, D-Md., also ignored Fox News Digitals questions about Jones, turning her back on the reporter and stepping into an elevator.MORE DEMOCRATS DODGE VIRGINIA CANDIDATES 2 BULLETS SCANDALSen. Andy Kim, D-N.J., provided some answers, saying, "Ill be honest with you, I dont recall exactly what he said, but at least the reflections I got, I thought it was horrible, I really do.""I don't know the dynamics of the race, as I'm focused right now on the New Jersey governor's race. So, I can't say that I've done my due diligence to really understand, but what I will say is what I saw was absolutely horrible," Kim added.Kim also said, "I hope that in a time right now where there's so much concern about political violence. We can say that, yes, we need to make sure we're holding ourselves up to a high standard, especially those in elected office."Asked if he could say whether Jones should drop out of the race after those violent texts, Sen. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., answered, "I can't. I've got to go."DEMOCRATS STAND BY VIRGINIA AG HOPEFUL WHO FANTASIZED ABOUT KILLING GOP LAWMAKERSen. Tina Smith, D-Minn., also had a similar response, saying, "No, Im getting a briefing right now," while a staffer said, "Youre more than welcome to reach out to her office though."In text messages with another lawmaker, Jones wrote, "Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, Hitler and Pol Pot. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head."Jones wrote in a subsequent text, "Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time."In another text exchange with a colleague, Jones said he hoped Gilberts children would die. He doubled down in a series of messages, saying that such grief might be "a good thing" if it advanced his politics.LIBERAL MEDIA DOWNPLAYS SCANDAL OF DEM VIRGINIA AG HOPEFUL JAY JONES' TEXTS FANTASIZING MURDER OF GOP LAWMAKERThough the text revelations have shocked the public and turned the Virginia elections on their head, many Democrats questioned by Fox News Digital have refused to address the scandal or say whether they believe Jones should be disqualified from the race.Asked whether Jones should quit his race, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., answered, "I havent given it a thought."Pressed whether he had read the text messages, which have caused massive political fallout in an already tight Virginia election, Whitehouse said, "I have not."Prominent Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., simply responded, "I dont have time at the moment," and continued to walk away.JOE SCARBOROUGH TELLS DEM CANDIDATE JAY JONES TO LEAVE RACE OVER VIOLENT COMMENTS AGAINST GOP LAWMAKERSpeaking with Fox News Digital, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called the Democratic senators silence "staggering, particularly with the spate of political violence we have seen.""In my view, the notion that someone advocating for the murder of children because he disagrees politically with their father is manifestly unsuitable for public office, especially the chief law enforcement officer of Virginia, and I wish there were even one Democrat with the courage to say that publicly," said Cruz.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 20 Visualizações 0 Anterior

"Thats not anybodys business. But there comes a point when you cant not hear it the narrative about how I wont have a baby, wont have a family, because Im selfish, a workaholic. It does affect me Im just a human being. Were all human beings."At a certain point, she recalled thinking, "what the hell?" and wrote the op-ed "because I knew a lot of women at the time who were trying to have kids" and were going through the process of IVF. She explained that her decision to write the piece "was not only for myself, but for any women who were struggling with the same issue."JENNIFER ANISTON WARNS OF HOLLYWOOD SAFETY CONCERNS AFTER MAN RAMMED CAR INTO HER GATERumors of the actress putting her career over starting a family began following her divorce from actor Brad Pitt in 2005, with many speculating that he left her because she didn't want to have a child. In reality, Aniston had privately been trying IVF, which ultimately was unsuccessful. In the 2016 op-ed, Aniston slammed the media for defining "a womans value based on her marital and maternal status," saying she and her then-husband, Justin Theroux, were being "harassed by dozens of aggressive photographers staked outside our home" trying to snap a photo of her and "uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but whos counting).""I have grown tired of being part of this narrative. Yes, I may become a mother some day, and since Im laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know. But Im not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete in some way, as our celebrity news culture would lead us all to believe," she wrote. She continued: "I resent being made to feel "less than" because my body is changing and/or I had a burger for lunch and was photographed from a weird angle and therefore deemed one of two things: 'pregnant' or fat."LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.'""I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would've given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.' You just don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed."While she felt it was important to speak her truth at the time, Aniston now says "the older I get, the less I care about correcting a narrative," because eventually the truth will come out on its own.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER"The news cycle is so fast, it just goes away.
