WWW.FOXNEWS.COMUniversity of Chicago condemns violence but dodges questions about professor arrested in anti-ICE riotsFIRST ON FOX: The University of Chicago exclusively told Fox News Digital that it condemns violence after a professor at the school was charged with violent felonies during an anti-ICE riot in the city's suburbs, but will not say whether the professor is still teaching classes.Associate Professor Eman Abdelhadi was arrested and charged on Oct. 3 with two counts of aggravated battery to a government employee, a Class 3 felony, and two counts of resisting/obstructing peace, a Class A misdemeanor."Safety is a paramount concern at the University of Chicago," University of Chicago's director of dublic affairs Gerald McSwiggan told Fox News Digital. "Violence runs contrary to the Universitys core values of free and open inquiry, dialogue and debate. The University promptly looks intoanysafety concerns, and takes action if necessary to uphold the safety of the University community."FAR-LEFT UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO PROFESSOR CHARGED WITH VIOLENT FELONIES DURING ANTI-ICE RIOTS IN BROADVIEWThe university stopped short of specifically commenting on Abdelhadi's arrest, and despite multiple requests, would not say whether she is still actively teaching courses. As of Wednesday morning, her biography page on the school's website remained active.Court records show that Abdelhadi requested a jury trial during an appearance in Cook County on Monday. Her attorney declined to comment.Hours before her arrest, she posted photos on X of a line of Illinois State Police officers guarding the ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois, and chastised the state and Gov. J.B. Pritzker for using state resources for that purpose.Rioters and protesters have clashed with authorities outside the facility for weeks.OVER A DOZEN ARRESTED AT ANTI-ICE PROTESTS IN CHICAGO SUBURBAbdelhadi did not return a comment request, but she remained defiant in a post on her Bluesky account Monday."Thank you so much everyone for the messages of love and support," she said on the platform. "I feel fortified by your presence in my life and in the world. I keep thinking about all our neighbors and siblingshundreds in Chicago alonewhove been detained into the unknown of horrendous facilities. We owe them resistance."Abdelhadi appeared on far-left Truthout's "Movement Memos" podcast the day before her arrest, where she spewed menacing messages about ICE and towards fellow left-wingers."These people are terrorizing our communities and theyre setting up shop. I mean, in Broadview, ICE has been setting up shop in our backyard. Just brazenly taking up community resources to terrorize this very same community," she said.DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE THROWN TO GROUND DURING CHAOTIC ANTI-ICE PROTEST"At this point, you are either on the side of protecting our neighbors and protecting our community, or youre on the side of this administration. There is no neutral ground in this moment. Theres no center left. Youre either resisting or youre complicit," she added.Abdelhadi is also a known far-left entity and anti-Israel activist whose social media accounts often reference a "genocide" in Gaza. She made national headlines when she cursed out her own employer at the Socialism 2025 conference earlier this year."F--- the University of Chicago, its evil, you know its a colonial landlord. Like, why would I put any of my political energy into this space? I kind of had a little bit of disdain for people who spent their time doing that," she said."Turns out, I work at one of the biggest employers in the city of Chicago. I work at a place that is a landlord, a healthcare provider, a police force, f--- that s---, but, they are, and a place where I have access to thousands of people that I could potentially organize actually, this is where I need to build power. Thats possible structural leverage," she said.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 18 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWhite House escalates shutdown consequences as Democrats show no signs of budging: Kamikaze attackThe Trump administration is ramping up the consequences of a lingering government shutdown as a lapse in appropriations enters its eighth day, with no signs of ending soon. Now, the White Houses Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has floated plans reviewed by Fox News Digital that would not guarantee that federal workers currently furloughed from the shutdown would receive backpay upending a 2019 law from Trumps first administration in the aftermath of a 35-day shutdown. The threat of furloughed workers failing to receive backpay increases the stakes every day that Congress fails to pass a funding measure and puts greater pressure on Democrats as President Donald Trump continues to accuse them of creating the crisis.SHUTDOWN IGNITES STRATEGIST DEBATE: WILL TRUMP AND GOP PAY THE POLITICAL PRICE IN 2026?Trump told reporters Tuesday during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that Democrats were the ones who started the shutdown, even as Democrats have pinned the blame on Republicans, who control both the House and Senate."This is like a kamikaze attack. They have nothing to lose," Trump said of the Democrats, referencing suicide missions by Japanese aviators during World War II.Additionally, Trump said it "depends on who were talking about" when asked about whether furloughed workers would be compensated after the shutdown ends."The Democrats have put a lot of people in great risk and jeopardy, but it really depends on who you're talking about," Trump said. "But for the most part, we're going to take care of our people. There are some people that really don't deserve to be taken care of, and we'll take care of them in a different way."The possibility of furloughed workers not receiving backpay, first reported by Axios, already comes as the Trump administration is moving to trim the federal government. For example, OMB already instructed agencies in September to craft plans for a reduction-in-force should a government shutdown occur. The move is a departure from the status quo, since furloughed employees typically return to their jobs once the government shutdown ends.HERE'S WHAT TRUMP WANTS TO DO TO RESHAPE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DURING THE SHUTDOWNBut Trump signaled that permanent cuts would emerge in the coming days, and that "a lot of those jobs will never come back.""We have a lot of things that we're going to eliminate and permanently eliminate," Trump said Tuesday. The government entered a partial shutdown Oct. 1, amid a stalemate between Senate Republicans and Democrats over a short-term funding bill to keep the government open through Nov. 21. The House previously had passed the temporary spending bill in September.Three Senate Democrats joined Republicans to vote for the temporary funding bill on Sept. 30, but the measure didnt hit the required 60 votes needed for passage.Trump and Republicans assert Democrats want to provide illegal immigrants healthcare, due to a provision that would repeal part of Trumps tax and domestic policy bill known as the "big, beautiful bill" that scaled back Medicaid eligibility for those who arent U.S. citizens.Even so, Democrats have pushed back against these claims, and have said they want to permanently extend certain Affordable Care Act subsidies that are set to expire at the end of the year.GOVERNMENT SHUTS DOWN AFTER CONGRESS DEADLOCKS ON SPENDING DEALSenate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., accused Republicans of not taking the shutdown seriously and are "refusing to address the health care crisis they created.""It's past time to get it done," Schumer told reporters Tuesday. On Wednesday, Senate Democrats did not get on board with Republicans' temporary spending bill during a sixth vote resulting in the government staying shuttered. The White House said in a Wednesday statement to Fox News Digital that every shutdown comes with consequences and that Democrats "simply" voted to reopen the government."Whether its our brave military members working without pay, business owners missing out on previously promised contract work, or families dealing with flight delays, everyone is paying the price for the Democrats radical demands," White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said.Fox News Alex Miller contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 18 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWho is Elizabeth Simons? Meet the largest individual donor to Virginia's disgraced Dem AG nomineeFIRST ON FOX: The largest individual donor to Jay Jones flailing attorney general campaign in Virginia is a billionaire heiress who has backed a variety of left-wing candidates and causes along with a recent massive donation backing socialist NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.Elizabeth "Liz" Simons, the daughter of the late billionaire hedge fund manager James "Jim" Simons, donated a total of $750,000 to Jones campaign over the past few months in four separate payments, campaign finance records show. The elder Simons founded the successful hedge fund Renaissance Technologies and built up a personal fortune worth $31.4 billion over the course of his lifetime while donating billions of that money to charity. The donations from his daughter are likely to face increased scrutiny after Jones was the subject of aNational Review report on Friday that exposed text messages he sent fantasizing about shooting a Republican colleague, former Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, in the head and suggesting his wife should have to watch his young "fascist" children die.DEM SENATOR'S HEFTY DONATION TO DISGRACED AG CANDIDATE'S CAMPAIGN COMES BACK TO HAUNT HIMThe texts compared Gilbert to mass murderers Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot, adding that if he was given two bullets, he would use both against the GOP lawmaker to shoot him in the head. The report has prompted Republicans in Virginia and across the country to call for Jones to drop out of the race, but as of Wednesday afternoon, he is still in the race as Democrats who endorsed him rally around his candidacy.Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, who condemned the texts, said he is "still a supporter" of his campaign.Fox News Digital reported on Tuesday that Mark Warner, the other Democratic senator in Virginia, also criticized Jones' "appalling" texts and said his behavior was "inconsistent with the person Ive known," but stopped short of calling for him to drop out of the race. His office did not respond to a request for comment on the $25,000 donation to Jones' campaign.Jones has since apologized, calling the remarks "embarrassing and shameful," and said he had reached out personally to Gilbert and his family.GUN CONTROL GROUP GAVE SIX-FIGURE DONATION TO DEM CANDIDATE WHO FANTASIZED ABOUT SHOOTING GOP LAWMAKERIn August, Simons gave $250,000 to a super PAC aligned with Mamdani and has been a prolific donor to a variety of Democratic campaigns and causes.FEC records reviewed by Fox News Digital show that she has given millions of dollars to the Senate Majority PAC, which has close ties to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and the House Majority PAC, a fundraising operation aligned with House Democratic leadership. She also gave over $800,000 to a PAC that supported Kamala Harris' failed presidential campaign.Simons, who joined her husband in forming the Heising-Simons Foundation in 2007 to bankroll left-wing environmentalist, education, and social policy causes, has recently made donations to Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff's campaign, over $100,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and over $40,000 to the Democratic National Committee. Her family foundation is also a member of at least two gun control advocacy organizations, including Fund for a Safer Future and Hope and Heal Fund, which are both controlled by the New Venture Fund, according to the Capital Research Center's InfluenceWatch.Fox News Digital reached out to Simons for comment, but did not receive a response by press time.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 18 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMUC Santa Barbara develops new soft robotic system for emergency intubation proceduresWhen someone stops breathing, the clock starts ticking. First responders often need to get air into the lungs fast, and one of the most reliable ways is to slide a tube into the windpipe. This process, called intubation, keeps the airway open so that oxygen can flow again. Here's the catch: intubation is incredibly hard. Even trained doctors can struggle, and every extra second puts the patient at greater risk. Now, researchers at UC Santa Barbara have designed a soft robotic device that could change how first responders handle these emergencies. It helps guide the breathing tube into place quickly, safely, and with far less training than traditional methods.Sign up for my FREE CyberGuy ReportGet my best tech tips, urgent security alerts and exclusive deals delivered straight to your inbox. A small flap called the epiglottis blocks the windpipe during swallowing, and the path into the trachea is narrow and curved. To get around these obstacles, current tools are rigid. Medics have to lift the epiglottis with a metal scope and carefully angle the tube forward. If it slips into the esophagus instead, oxygen goes to the stomach instead of the lungs."Traditional tools must be stiff so you can push them, and they only turn by pressing on sensitive tissue," explained Elliot Hawkes, professor of mechanical engineering at UCSB.DANGEROUS HEART CONDITIONS DETECTED IN SECONDS WITH AI STETHOSCOPEThe new system, called the soft robotic intubation system (SRIS), takes a gentler approach. First, a curved guide sits at the back of the throat. Then a soft inflatable tube slowly unrolls from the inside out as it advances. Instead of being forced in, it naturally follows the right path into the windpipe. This reduces friction, lowers the risk of injury and adapts to different body shapes automatically."This growing paradigm naturally accounts for minor variations in anatomy," said lead author David Haggerty, a recent UCSB Ph.D. graduate. The results are eye-opening:Millions of emergency intubations happen in the U.S. each year. Many take place in chaotic, low-light or stressful situations where current tools don't always work. A device that makes the process easier could be a lifesaver for:AI VIDEO TECH FAST-TRACKS HUMANOID ROBOT TRAININGThe UCSB team is now preparing for clinical trials and FDA approval.HOW MICRO-ROBOTS MAY SOON TREAT YOUR SINUS INFECTIONSIf this device lives up to its early promise, it could mean that more patients survive emergencies where breathing stops. For families, it means a higher chance that first responders can keep loved ones alive until they reach the hospital. For medics, it offers a safer, faster tool when seconds truly matter.Think your devices and data are truly protected? Take this quick quiz to see where your digital habits stand. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMInhalers produce carbon emissions equal to 530,000 cars on road annually, study findsInhalers that deliver quick relief to patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) may be taking a toll on the planet, producing as much climate-warming pollution as more than half a million cars each year.Researchers reported in a new JAMA study that inhalers have generated more than 2 million metric tons of carbon emissions each year over the last decade, equivalent to the emissions of about 530,000 gas-powered cars on the road annually. The study analyzed emissions from the three different types of inhalers approved for asthma or COPD from 2014 to 2024, finding metered-dose inhalers were the most damaging to the environment.AIR POLLUTION MAY PLAY A BIGGER ROLE IN COGNITIVE DECLINE THAN ANYONE REALIZEDResearchers alleged metered-dose inhalers, which use hydrofluoroalkane (HFA) propellants potent greenhouse gases used in aerosol sprays were responsible for 98% of emissions over the decade.Other inhalers, like dry powder and soft mist inhalers, deliver medication without propellants and have a much smaller environmental footprint.Certain companies, like AstraZeneca, have already committed to transitioning from pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs) to propellants with substantially less global waring potential.TOXIC AIR SICKENS CREW AND PASSENGERS ACROSS AIRLINES AS DELTA UPGRADES ENGINES ON MORE THAN 300 PLANESThe study's lead author, Dr. William Feldman, a pulmonologist and health services researcher at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, said inhalers put patients with chronic respiratory disease at risk."On the upside, there is tremendous opportunity to make changes that protect both patients and the planet by utilizing lower-emission alternatives," Feldman wrote in a UCLA news release. To conduct the analysis, researchers drew from a comprehensive national database of inhaler prescriptions, at the National Drug Code (NDC) level.Emissions were then estimated using validated academic studies and analyzed by drug type, device type, propellant type, therapeutic class, branded status, manufacturer, payer and pharmacy benefit manager.CIGARETTE BUTTS MAKE ROADS STRONGER THAN EVER BEFOREThe team plans to expand the research to evaluate inhaler emissions in specific patient groups, such as Medicaid recipients, and to compare clinical outcomes of low- and high-emission inhalers in the same therapeutic class. They will also investigate how pricing and patent strategies could shape the rollout of new, lower-emission inhaler technologies."A key first step to driving change is understanding the true scale of the problem," Feldman said. "From there, we can identify whats fueling these emissions and develop targeted strategies to reduce them benefiting both patients and the environment."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 25 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBorder Patrol chief fires back after Pritzker calls federal operations 'unconstitutional invasion'Chief Border Patrol agent Gregory Bovino unloaded on Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker Wednesday, responding to the Democrat's claim that the Trump administration launched an "unconstitutional invasion" of Chicago by conducting federal law enforcement operations to mitigate crime."I doubt the governor could fill custard in a pie factory if it came down to it, but what he is adept at is placing his citizens, his law enforcement officers, and his state in jeopardy at the hands of criminals," Bovino said on "Fox & Friends First.""It's plain and simple: he doesn't care," he added.DHS TAKES ON PRITZKER'S 'SMORGASBORD OF LIES,' RELEASES LIST DEBUNKING HIS CLAIMS"He has not mentioned bounties on federal law enforcement. He's not mentioned those individuals that you talked about at the beginning of the segment that prey on American citizens that are walking the streets. He needs to get with the program because he's not doing it right now."While speaking in Springfield on Monday, Pritzker thanked state Attorney General Kwame Raoul as well as his staff, general counsel and legal team for preparing federal lawsuits in anticipation of what he called the Trump administrations "unconstitutional invasion of Illinois."TRUMP OFFICIALS SLAM BLUE STATE GOVERNOR FOR IGNORING CHAOTIC ANTI-ICE RIOTERS DISRUPTING OPERATION"I refuse to let Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, and Gregory Bovino continue on this march toward autocracy," Pritzker said on the heels of President Trump ordering National Guard deployments to Chicago. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fired back in a press release on Monday, insisting that the "reality" is the agency's moves are "neither unconstitutional nor an invasion."DHS also rebuked Pritzker's claim that the agency is targeting racial minorities rather than criminals as well as his claim that U.S. citizens have been targeted in such operations.Bovino, who is spearheading Operation Midway Blitz in the Windy City, echoed DHS claims that Tren de Aragua gang members and people in the terrorist screening database have been apprehended."Those folks oftentimes are walking with impunity on the streets of Chicago, and that's why we're here," he said."That's why we have this federal response here When our local elected politicians won't do the job, we will."Bovino's comments came after DHS arrested a suspected Latin Kings member for placing a bounty on him.Fox News' Greg Norman contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 24 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMProtesters attempt to justify Hamas attack on Israel with 'Columbia Intifada' newspaper on Oct. 7 anniversaryOn the second anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023,Hamas attack on Israel, demonstrators gathered outside the gates of Columbia University, chanting "From the river to the sea" and handing out a newspaper from the "Columbia Intifada" that seemed to justify the massacre of Israeli citizens that took place at the Nova music festival. The Oct. 7, 2025 edition of the paper, under the front page article titled "Hamas: A Brief History," says that the publication marks "two years since the people of Gaza tore down the fences of their modern concentration camp."The "Columbia Intifada" emerged as a student-produced paper distributed by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), though the university quickly condemned it late last year, saying the papers message to promote or glorify violence violates Columbia University policy.ISRAEL CALLS PROMINENT DEMOCRAT MOUTHPIECE FOR HAMAS IN BLISTERING OCT. 7 POSTAtop the paper reads: "Disclaimer: Columbia Intifada is not affiliated with the terrorist, imperialist, Nazi-Zionist, colonizing, gentrifying, pig-love, genocidal, war-profiteering institution known as Columbia University." In the upper right-hand corner reads: "Columbia University [Students for Justice in Palestine] SJP."Columbias chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine was suspended in November 2023. The New York Civil Liberties Union and Palestine Legal sued the university in March 2024 alleging the university violated the groups rights, but the New York Supreme Court sided with Columbia in Nov., 2024, a ruling which has kept the group suspended to date. Fox News Digital learned that the organization does not receive funding from the school and cannot reserve space on campus."Invoking Columbias name to glorify violence is a breach of our values," a spokesperson for Columbia told Fox News Digital. "We are aware of the materials that were distributed off campus yesterday and are investigating the matter.""Discrimination and promoting violence or terror is unacceptable and antithetical to what our community stands for," the spokesperson added.Despite the suspension, the organization's social media channels remain active, and it is unknown who is currently writing and publishing the newspaper.AS TRUMPS GAZA DEAL NEARS, FAMILY WARNS ISRAEL NOT TO FREE ANOTHER SINWARFox News Digital reached out to Columbia's Students for Justice in Palestine, but did not receive a response. The "Columbia Intifada" paper is roughly the same size as a newspaper that can be purchased from any print publication. The four-page-long paper features multiple color layers, anonymous authors, and branding similar to that of the universitys "Columbia Spectator."In addition to the newspapers being handed out at the gate of the university's campus, stickers promoting the protest were thrown out the windows from inside the school grounds to protesters and onlookers nearby. Most of the roughly hundred protesters were wrapped in garbs so that only their eyes were visible. Apparent demonstration organizers also offered free masks to individuals who entered through a metal police barrier designed to prevent an escalation in conflict.ANTISEMITIC VENOM INFECTING CAMPUSES GETS WORSE AS UNIVERSITIES PLAY ROPE-A-DOPE WITH TRUMP ADMIN: EXPERTChants of "free Palestine" on 116th and Broadway were met with a few dissenting, pro-Israel voices who emerged roughly half an hour into the protest. The first speaker among the group of protesters instructed the crowd not to speak with the press, and even made the protesters audibly repeat after her that there would be no communication with the press. The speaker then went on to say that any press inquiries could be directed to individuals wearing grey armbands, though when Fox News Digital asked to speak to such individuals on multiple occasions, the group never brought anyone forward."The Columbia SJP are not only the scum of the earth, they are nauseatingly anti-semitic, wildly factually wrong, and a major reason why they and their ilk have been thrown into the trash bin of political irrelevance," Republican Jewish Coalition spokesperson Sam Markstein told Fox News Digital. "If they are so proud of their words, why not put their names to the libelous slanders they put forward?"The answer is because they are dimwitted losers and cowards."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 24 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMModerate Dem undercuts Jeffries on ObamaCare compromise as government shutdown wears onA moderate House Democrat is splitting from his party leader on a compromise to extend enhanced ObamaCare subsidies that are set to expire at the end of this year. The subsidies have been a key demand for Democrats in exchange for their support for legislation to end the government shutdown.Rep. Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y., is among the House Democrats backing a bipartisan bill aimed at extending those tax credits for one year. But House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., called a one-year extension a "laughable proposition" in comments to reporters on Tuesday.Suozzi, who also backs a permanent extension, said both sides need to begin negotiating at some point, even without a perfect solution.GOVERNMENT LIMPS DEEPER INTO SHUTDOWN CRISIS WITH NO DEAL IN SIGHT"A one-year extension of the Affordable Care Act tax credits is not acceptable. It's a nonstarter," Jeffries said, referring to ObamaCare."What world are these MAGA extremists living in right now to think that Democrats are going to go along with a one-year extension from a group of people, meaning the Republicans, who just permanently extended massive tax breaks for their billionaire donors?"But it's not just Republicans pushing that bill the legislation has 11 total Democrat co-sponsors out of 25 total supporters.Suozzi told Fox News Digital in response to Jeffries' rejection: "Republicans and Democrats both need to step up to the negotiating table.""This bill isn't perfect I'd prefer a permanent extension, and I'd gladly settle for a multi-year one but right now, our priority must be stopping the massive health insurance premium hikes set to hit mailboxes in less than a month," Suozzi said."We can't afford to remain in a stalemate, each side waiting for the other to blink."A spokesman for Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, another co-sponsor of the bill, pointed Fox News Digital to comments the Democrat made on his Substack days before the shutdown."Our bipartisan bill would extend the credits by one year. Our coalition already includes 12 House Republicans an essential bloc of support for passing a bill in the GOP-controlled House. And Senate Republicans are already interested in a deal, too," Golden wrote in those comments.SCHUMER'S SHUTDOWN HOLDS AS SENATE DEMS BLOCK GOP BID TO REOPEN GOVERNMENT"As we negotiate, I see two sides who genuinely want to get to yes, which gives me hope that we can avert price spikes and coverage losses in January. A government shutdown only jeopardizes that work."Golden was the lone House Democrat to vote for the GOP-led bill to avert a government shutdown last month. The bill, called a continuing resolution (CR), would keep federal funding levels roughly flat through Nov. 21, while including added spending for national officials' security amid the heightened political threat environment. But Democrats, furious at being sidelined in federal funding talks, have largely said they'll reject any deal that does not include an extension of the expiring ObamaCare subsidies.Suozzi and several other Democrats supporting the one-year extension are also co-sponsors on legislation that would permanently extend the enhanced ObamaCare subsidies. The office of Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., pointed out to Fox News Digital that he was also a co-sponsor of that bill but refused to comment on the one-year bill or Jeffries' dismissal of it.But that bill is likely a nonstarter for GOP leaders in Congress, who say that some reform is needed to the system if those healthcare credits are to be extended.Fox News Digital reached out to the remaining eight co-sponsors of the one-year extension bill but did not receive a response to Jeffries' comments by press time.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 26 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMPritzker hurls 'dementia' claim at Trump amid National Guard feud despite defending Biden's mental fitnessIllinois Gov. JB Pritzker accused President Donald Trump of being a "man whos suffering dementia" in their escalating feud over National Guard deployment in his state despite the Democrat once backing former President Joe Bidens mental fitness.Texas National Guard troops arrived in Illinois on Tuesday to protect federal personnel and property amid anti-immigration protests, the Pentagon confirmed. A Pentagon official said 200 guardsmen were mobilized for an initial 60-day period."This is a man whos suffering dementia," Pritzker said Tuesday about Trump, according to The Chicago Tribune. "This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He cant get it out of his head. He doesnt read. He doesnt know anything thats up to date. Its just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities.""And then, unfortunately, he has the power of the military, the power of the federal government to do his bidding, and thats what hes doing," Pritzker reportedly added.TRUMP SAYS CHICAGO MAYOR, ILLINOIS GOVERNOR SHOULD BE IN JAIL FOR FAILING TO PROTECT ICE OFFICERSThe sharp criticism comes after Pritzker defended Biden following the release of a report from Special Counsel Robert Hur in February 2024 that described the former president as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory." "I smell a rat," Pritzker was quoted as telling reporters the day after Hurs report was made public."It was extremely unfair for a Trump appointee, originally to the Department of Justice, to offer his own opinions about the mental acuity or age of the President of the United States," Pritzker added, according to Politico.Pritzker further defended Biden's fitness to serve."Ive been with the President of the United States many times, he is on the ball," Pritzker said at a press conference in February 2024, according to WLS-TV. "The man knows more than most of us have forgotten. He knows so much more because hes been in government for a number of years and has served in important positions."Biden later dropped his re-election bid in July after a disastrous debate performance against Trump. Biden's own party quietly ceded to concerns over his fitness, mental competency and overall strength as a candidate as fallout from the debate overtook conversation on the campaign trail and on Capitol Hill.At a time Pritzker was being floated as potentially joining the Democratic ticket and was holding speaking engagements in battleground states, the Illinois governor released a statement on Biden's decision to withdraw from the race."President Joe Biden has dedicated his life in service to this nation, and its citizens are all the better for it. His is a storied political career culminating in one of the most accomplished and effective presidencies of our lifetime," Pritzker said at the time. He praised Biden as having "restored dignity to the Oval Office, bringing the statesmanship and honor that have been the hallmarks of his years of service, back to the White House."He also attacked Trump, adding, "We must not ignore the threat posed by Donald Trumps potential return to the White House," according to WMAQ-TV. Trump went on to win the November election.PRITZKER SUES TRUMP TO BLOCK NATIONAL GUARD ACTION IN ILLINOISAn X account affiliated with the Trump White House on Tuesday called Pritzker "one SICK scumbag," sharing a clip of his recent interview with WGN."What I know is, in the early days of Nazi regime, they started slowly but surely taking away people's rights. And what we are seeing now is the very same thing. They have gone into cities now with the military," Pritzker said in the clip posted on X by the White House Rapid Response team. "Think about that in your lifetime have you ever seen anything like that? Where the President of the United States is sending military or troops dressed as military ICE and CBP in camouflage, with automatic weapons, into our major cities? Its wrong."The White House Rapid Response team said Pritzker "calls President Trump a Nazi fomenting more deranged violence from his Radical Left lunatic supporters."Trump on Wednesday said on Truth Social that Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson should be jailed for not defending ICE agents. The White House provided Fox News Digital with a statement elaborating on the president's post, noting that 30 people were shot, five of whom died, in Chicago last week alone, yet "these Trump-Deranged buffoons would rather allow the violence to continue and attack the President for wanting to help make their city safe again."The White House did not immediately address Pritzker's specific "dementia" comment about Trump.Fox News Digital also reached out to Pritzker's office for comment but did not immediately hear back.Fox News Brooke Singman, Aubrie Spady, Alexandra Koch and Patrick McGovern contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 38 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση
