WWW.FOXNEWS.COMFormer Attorney General Eric Holder calls on Democrats to focus on Supreme Court expansion, term limitsFormer Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday during a podcast interview that the Democratic Party platform should focus on expanding the Supreme Court."At Our Table" host and former Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison asked Holder if Supreme Court reform should be part of the 2028 Democratic platform."I think the Supreme Court has to be reformed, potentially, you know, expanded. We cannot simply allow this court to continue to do that which it has done. They dont focus on precedent, they focus on personnel. And by that, I mean, you know, they think, 'Alright, we've got six votes and we can now do things that are inconsistent with precedent, long-term precedents that have been put in place,' to the detriment of our democracy, to the detriment of fairness and that means political fairness as well as economic fairness. And, so I think, yeah, that should be a part of whoever runs for president Supreme Court reform," Holder said.He also argued that, at minimum, Democrats should support term limits for Supreme Court justices.RISING DEMOCRATIC STAR WES MOORE SAYS PARTY 'JUST GAVE UP' ON CERTAIN PARTS OF USA IN 2024 CAMPAIGN"In my book that I wrote, I said that term limits of 18 years is enough. People shouldn't be on the Supreme Court for 30, 40 years, become disconnected from the country that they're supposed to serve. Eighteen years is enough for anybody to serve on the Supreme Court, and that has huge support by Republicans, by Democrats, by independents. And so I think at a minimum, that should be a part of any Democratic Party platform," Holder said.Former Vice President Kamala Harris said in October 2024 that she supported some form of Supreme Court reform."There is no question that the American people increasingly are losing confidence in the Supreme Court and, in large part, because of the behavior of certain members of that court and because of certain rulings, including the Dobbs decision and taking away a precedent that had been in place for 50 years, protecting a woman's right to make decisions about her own body," she said during a campaign town hall."So, I do believe that there should be some kind of reform of the court, and we can study what that actually looks like," Harris added.TRUMP'S PRESIDENCY FACES CRUCIAL TESTS AS SUPREME COURT BEGINS PIVOTAL TERMDemocratic strategist James Carville said in August that expanding the Supreme Court should be part of the partys agenda if Democrats regain power."They are just going to have to unilaterally add Puerto Rico and District of Columbia states," Carville said during his podcast, "Politics War Room.""They're going to have to do it. They're just going to have to do it. And they may have to expand the [Supreme Court] to 13 members," he added.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREHolder also discussed his role in vetting potential vice presidential picks for Harris. The former vice president revealed in her 2025 memoir, "107 Days," that former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had been her first choice but ultimately decided he was too big a "risk.""Well, you know, it's interesting that I've seen her on TV say that Secretary Buttigieg was her first choice," Holder said. "I deliberately made the decision to not ask her where she was going so that we wouldn't be influenced by that. We came up with a list of, I think, maybe 10, 12 people without any sense of where she wanted to go. I'm not revealing anything by saying that Secretary Buttigieg was one of the people who we vetted, but so I didn't know," he added.Holder said he understood Harris' political calculation in not choosing Buttigieg, but also said picking the former transportation secretary might have been seen as an "unbelievably bold move" that showed courage.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 42 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump says he'd consider invoking Insurrection Act as courts, governors seek to block his crime crackdownPresident Donald Trump said he would consider invoking the Insurrection Act to deploy federal troops in U.S. cities after a federal judge blocked his administration from sending National Guard units to Portland."Id do it if it was necessary. So far it hasnt been necessary. But we have an Insurrection Act for a reason,"Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Monday. The 1807 law has not been invoked since the 1992 Los Angeles riots."If I had to enact it, I'd do that. If people were being killed and courts were holding us up or governors or mayors were holding us up, sure, I'd do that. I mean, I want to make sure that people aren't killed. We have to make sure that our cities are safe," he added.WHAT IS THE INSURRECTION ACT?The order allows the president to deploy the military to suppress rebellions and enforce federal laws. If invoked, it would grant Trump the authority to federalize the Guard and deploy active duty forces to restore order. It would temporarily override the Posse Comitatus Act, which normally restricts the use of the military for domestic law enforcement."If we dont have to use it, I wouldnt use it," Trump later said on Newsmax, before adding, "If you take a look at whats been going on in Portland, its been going on for a long time, and thats insurrection. I mean, thats pure insurrection."The comments came after a federal judge on Sunday blocked the Trump administration from deploying California and Texas National Guard troops to Portlands streets amid protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).The same court earlier had denied Trump from deploying Oregons own Guard to the city."Portland's been on fire for years and not so much saving it," Trump told reporters Monday. "We have to save something else, because I think that's all insurrection. I really think that's really criminal insurrection."But Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, said there was no evidence recent protests against ICE made the federalized Guard troops necessary.About 100 National Guard troops had already arrived in Portland to handle increasingly contentious protests outside an ICE facility, and that deployment had been expected to double by the end of the day before the judge issued her order.California and Oregon had sued over the deployment.FEDERAL JUDGE BLOCKS TRUMP'S NATIONAL GUARD DEPLOYMENT TO PORTLAND AMID CONSTITUTIONAL CHALLENGEWhite House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller tore into the judges ruling, calling it"one of the most egregious and thunderous violations of constitutional order we have ever seen.""There is no legal distinction between a state volunteering guardsmen to guard the border and volunteering guardsmen to guard a federal immigration facility," Millersaid. "Either we have a federal government, a supremacy clause, and a nation, or we dont."Trump has also ordered Guard troops from other states to deploy to Chicago and Memphis.Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker suggested Trump was trying to sow unrest so he could deploy the Insurrection Act at a news conference Monday."The Trump administration is following a playbook: cause chaos, create fear and confusion, make it seem like peaceful protesters are a mob by firing gas pellets and tear gas canisters at them," Pritzker said. "Why? To create the pretext for invoking the Insurrection Act so that he can send military troops to our city."During Trumps first administration, the White House floated the possibility of invoking the act in response to George Floyd protests, but ultimately did not.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 39 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMGovernment limps deeper into shutdown crisis with no deal in sightThe Senate remains deadlocked on a path to end the shutdown as it nears its second week, and Republicans meager support across the aisle to reopen the government may be crumbling.Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., needs at least eight Senate Democratic caucus members to join Republicans to reopen the government, given that Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has consistently voted against the GOPs bill.So far, a trio of Democratic caucus members, Sens. John Fetterman, D-Pa., Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., and Angus King, I-Maine, have crossed the aisle to reopen the government.SCHUMER'S SHUTDOWN HOLDS AS SENATE DEMS BLOCK GOP BID TO REOPEN GOVERNMENTThat group has joined Republicans in nearly all five attempts to reopen the government. But, as time drags on and a deal remains out of reach, at least one is considering changing his vote.King said ahead of the fifth vote to reopen the government on Monday that he was considering flipping his support of the GOPs bill, and he argued that he needed "more specificity about addressing the problem" of the expiring Obamacare tax credits."I think this problem is urgent, and just saying, as the leader did on Friday, well, we'll have conversations about it, is not adequate," he said.Kings possible defection comes as Republicans and Democrats engage in low-level conversations on a path out of the shutdown. Those impromptu dialogues have so far not morphed into real negotiations, however.SCHUMER'S SHUTDOWN SCHEME EXPLAINED: DEMS DOUBLE DOWN ON OBAMACARE CREDITS AS STANDOFF DRAGS ONAnd the stalemate in the upper chamber has only further solidified both sides positions.Senate Democrats, led by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., want a firm deal in place to extend expiring Obamacare subsidies. Senate Republicans have said that they will negotiate a deal only after the government is reopened and want reforms to the program that they charge has been inflationary and further increased the cost of healthcare for Americans.Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, has circulated an early plan that includes a discussion of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies that could be a way out of the shutdown, but so far, it's in its preliminary stages."It suggests that there be a conversation on the ACA extension for the premium tax credits after we reopen the government," she said. "But there will be a commitment to having that discussion."President Donald Trump signaled on Monday that he would be open to a deal on the subsidies, and he said that negotiations with Democrats were ongoing.GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN DRAGS INTO WEEKEND AS SENATE DEMOCRATS BLOCK GOP PLANHowever, Schumer pushed back and called Trumps assertion "not true." The top Senate Democrat has also shifted the onus of the shutdown, and lack of negotiations, directly onto House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La."Clearly, at this point, he is the main obstacle," Schumer said on the Senate floor. "So ending this shutdown will require Donald Trump to step in and push Speaker Johnson to negotiate."Meanwhile, the White House is exerting more pressure on Senate Democrats to cave and reopen the government. A new memo reported by Axios suggested that furloughed federal employees may not have to receive back pay, running counter to a law that Trump signed in 2019 that guaranteed furloughed workers would receive back pay in future shutdowns. That comes on the heels of a memo from the Office of Management and Budget last month that signaled mass firings beyond the typical furloughs of nonessential federal workers, and it follows the withholding of nearly $30 billion in federal funds for blue cities and states.Thune argued that "if you're the executive branch of the government, you've got to manage a shutdown.""At some point, you're going to have to make some decisions about who gets paid, who doesn't get paid, which agencies and departments get priorities and prioritized and which ones don't," Thune said. "I mean, I think that's a fairly standard practice in the event of a government shutdown. Now, hopefully that doesn't affect back pay but again, it's just that simple: open up the government."0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 42 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWashington Post rebukes Dave Chappelle, other top comedians for performing at Saudi comedy festThe Washington Post editorial board on Tuesday shredded the stand-up comedians who worked at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia, calling it a "bad joke" that they took money from a repressive regime. In its latest editorial, the board rebuked the roughly 50 comics including Dave Chappelle, Louis C.K., Whitney Cummings and Bill Burr who accepted lucrative paychecks from a nation long criticized for censorship and human rights abuses."Fifty comedians walk into a repressive Gulf kingdom. That sounds like the beginning of a bad joke. But there is little funny about some of the best-known Western comics trekking to Saudi Arabia, collecting large paychecks and agreeing to censor themselves at the Riyadh Comedy Festival, which runs through Thursday," the board wrote.ISRAEL'S NETANYAHU RIPS IRELAND, SPAIN AND NORWAY RECOGNIZING PALESTINIAN STATEHOOD: 'REWARD FOR TERRORISM'The board criticized Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for hosting the festival, claiming its "just the latest in a string of attempts to divert attention from his countrys atrocious human rights record by hosting showy international events."The Post reminded readers of the Saudi governments killing of journalists, including one of its own contributors."The comedy festivals timing was particularly cruel, as it overlapped with the seventh anniversary of the murder and dismemberment of Post contributing columnist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2, 2018," the board wrote.JIMMY KIMMEL'S LATE-NIGHT EVOLUTION FROM APOLITICAL FUNNYMAN TO DEM ACTIVISTThe board accused performers of picking a "payday over principles." It suggested that the comics were hypocritical for agreeing to the festivals restrictions on content, while using their sets to mock American cancel culture."Before the comedy festival, the invited performers were forbidden in their contracts from poking any fun at the Saudi royal family, Islam or the regime. Several people turned down the money. But some who did perform focused on what they saw as safer topics for that audience: cancel culture in the United States," the editorial stated. The board continued: "Its distasteful enough to criticize Americas free-speech challenges while being lavishly paid by a regime that forces comedians to sign contracts pledging to avoid sensitive topics. Its grotesquely hypocritical when exercising free expression, even satire, in Saudi Arabia can result in being not canceled but literally decapitated."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREComedian David Cross expressed his disdain for the choice to perform there in a press release shared last week."I am disgusted and deeply disappointed in this whole gross thing. That people I admire, with unarguable talent, would condone this totalitarian fiefdom for what, a fourth house? A boat? More sneakers?" he asked. Some of the performers have defended participating in Riyadh. During a recent episode of his "Monday Morning Podcast," Burr called it a "mind-blowing experience" and accused people of spreading lies about the event.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 42 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMDem senator's hefty donation to disgraced AG candidate's campaign comes back to haunt himFIRST ON FOX: Virginia Democratic Sen. Mark Warner's campaign donated tens of thousands of dollars to the campaign of disgraced attorney general candidate Jay Jones as calls grow for Jones to drop out of the race after two bombshell reports about violent comments he previously made.Mark Warner for US Senate donated $25,000 to Jones campaign in August, campaign finance records show. There is also a joint fundraising page for Jones and Warner on the Democratic Party's top fundraising platform, ActBlue. In recent days, it was revealed that Jonescompared one of his Republican colleagues, former Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, to mass murderers Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot, adding that if he was given two bullets, he would use both against the GOP lawmaker to shoot him in the head.GUN CONTROL GROUP GAVE SIX-FIGURE DONATION TO DEM CANDIDATE WHO FANTASIZED ABOUT SHOOTING GOP LAWMAKERJones also said Gilbert and his wife should have to watch his "fascist" children die.Warner, according to Virginia Mercury, called the Jones texts "appalling" and "inconsistent with the person Ive known."Fox News Digital reached out to Warners office inquiring whether he plans to ask for the money to be returned or call on Jones to exit the race but did not receive a response.Jones apologized for the comment but remains in the race for attorney general.Additionally, asecond report on Monday accused Jones of privately suggesting to a colleague that if more police officers were killed, they would shoot fewer people. Jones has denied making those comments.LIBERAL MSNBC PANELIST CALLS FOR VIRGINIA AG CANDIDATE TO DROP OUT OVER VIOLENT TEXT MESSAGESRepublicans across the nation, including President Donald Trump, have called on Jones to drop out of the race for his comments condoning political violence. So far, no prominent Democrats have rescinded their endorsements.Warner, vice chair of the Senate Finance Committee, has been a staunch opponent of political violence in recent years, denouncing the January 6 Capitol Hill riots and violent Charlottesville protests on numerous occasions."The rise in political violencewhich has inflicted tragedy upon the families of Republican activist Charlie Kirk and Minnesotas House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman, a Democrat, and her husband Mark, and many other Americans on both sides of the aisleis disturbing and unacceptable," Warner said in a September press release, along with fellow Virginia Democrats including Sen. Tim Kaine and Rep. Eugene Vindman.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"We are unified in our condemnation of these attacks. It is critical to the safety of all Americans and the health of our democracy that we are able to approach our political differences with respect and without resorting to violence."Kaine has said that Jones should remain in the race and let voters decide while Vindman doubled down on his support of Jones over the weekend in a post on X.Warner and other Democrats are starting to face criticism for sticking with Jones."Mark Warner has endorsed, donated to, and fundraised with Jay Jones, but wont say whether he still supports him to be Virginias Attorney General after Jones called for the murder of a political opponent and his children,"National Republican Senatorial Committee Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell said in a press release."As Americans continue to grapple with Charlie Kirks assassination, the answer should be easy. Jay Jones is not fit for office and Mark Warner should rescind his support and call for him to step aside immediately."0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 43 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJeep and Chrysler parent Stellantis confirms data breachAutomotive giant Stellantis has just revealed that it suffered a data breach, exposing customer contact details, after attackers infiltrated a third-party platform used for North American customer services. The announcement comes at a time when large-scale attacks on cloud CRM systems have already shaken tech and retail sectors alike, with Salesforce clients such as Google, Allianz and Dior reporting similar intrusions. These earlier incidents exposed names, emails, and phone numbers, which were sufficient for attackers to launch phishing campaigns or extortion attempts.Sign up for my FREE CyberGuy ReportGet my best tech tips, urgent security alerts, and exclusive deals delivered straight to your inbox. Today, it ranks among the world's largest automakers by revenue and is fifth in volume globally. The company houses 14 well-known brands, including Jeep and Dodge, as well as Peugeot, Maserati and Vauxhall, and operates manufacturing infrastructure across more than 130 countries. That global scale naturally makes it a tempting target for cyber adversaries. In its public statement, Stellantis clarified that only contact information was taken. Since the compromised third-party platform does not host financial or deeply sensitive personal data, Stellantis asserts that social security numbers, payment details and health records were out of reach of the attackers. In response, the company activated its incident response protocols, launched a full investigation, contained the breach, notified authorities and began alerting affected customers. It also issued warnings about phishing and urged customers not to click suspicious links.Stellantis has not revealed how many customers the breach affected. The company also has not specified which contact fields, such as email, phone, or address, attackers accessed. While Stellantis has not explicitly named the hacker group behind the breach, multiple sources tie this incident to the ShinyHunters extortion campaign, which has spearheaded a wave of data thefts targeting Salesforce this year.ShinyHunters claims to have stolen over 18 million records from Stellantis' Salesforce instance, which includes names and contact details, according to Bleeping Computer. These attacks form part of a broader campaign aimed at Salesforce customers. In recent months, ShinyHunters has often worked in concert with groups like Scattered Spider and targeted companies including Google, Cisco, Adidas, Allianz Life, Qantas, and brands under LVMH such as Dior and Tiffany & Co.OVER 2B USERS FACE PHISHING RISKS AFTER GOOGLE DATA LEAKTheir reported method is fairly ingenious. Attackers exploit OAuth tokens tied to integrations like Salesloft's Drift AI chat tool to pivot into Salesforce environments. Once inside, they can harvest valuable metadata, credentials, AWS keys, Snowflake tokens and more.In fact, the FBI recently issued a Flash alert that surfaced numerous indicators of compromise linked to these Salesforce environment attacks and warned organizations to harden defenses. The cumulative toll is staggering. ShinyHunters asserts it has stolen over 1.5 billion Salesforce records across some 760 companies.Even if only contact details were exposed, that's enough for attackers to target you. Here's how to stay protected.Even basic contact details can be scraped from breaches and sold on data broker platforms, where they are used for spam, scams and targeted attacks. A data removal service can help track down and request the deletion of your information from these databases, reducing your long-term exposure. While no service can guarantee the complete removal of your data from the internet, a data removal service is really a smart choice. This is called credential stuffing. A password manager can create strong, unique passwords for every account. That way, one breach will not put your other accounts at risk. It also helps you quickly update credentials in case you suspect a compromise.Next, see if your email has been exposed in past breaches. Even if attackers manage to steal your password, they will need that second factor to gain access. This significantly reduces the chances of account takeover attempts succeeding.Attackers often combine exposed contact information with other data to build complete identity profiles. Identity theft protection services monitor for suspicious activity, such as unauthorized credit applications or changes to official records, and alert you early so you can act before serious damage occurs. Identity theft companies can monitor personal information like your Social Security Number (SSN), phone number, and email address, and alert you if it is being sold on the dark web or being used to open an account. They can also assist you in freezing your bank and credit card accounts to prevent further unauthorized use by criminals.See my tips and best picks on how to protect yourself from identity theft at CyberGuy.com.After a breach, it is worth auditing your accounts, not just with Stellantis but also with related services such as financing portals, insurance accounts or loyalty programs. Look for unusual sign-ins, unfamiliar devices, or changes to your personal details. Most services offer tools to review login history and security events, making checking these a routine habit.Even giants in manufacturing are vulnerable when cloud platforms and third-party systems are part of their customer workflow. The same patterns seen in attacks on Google, LVMH, and others have now reached the auto industry in a serious way. As Stellantis confronts the fallout, the broader lesson is clear. Organizations must treat the surfaces exposed by their service providers and SaaS integrations with as much vigilance as their own core systems.Do you trust companies to secure your data, or do you feel they're not doing enough? WWW.FOXNEWS.COMGeorgia prosecutors request 90-day extension to replace Willis in Trump election caseGeorgia prosecutors have requested a 90-day extension to appoint a new attorney in the election interference case against PresidentDonald Trumpand 14 co-defendants, citing a heavy backlog and the cases complexity. The Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia has been tasked with replacing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis after she was permanently sidelined from prosecuting the case against last month. The councils executive director, Pete Skandalakis, filed an extension request on Friday to name a district attorney pro tempore, writing that said the case file is so large that PACGA doesnt expect to receive it for about four weeks, meaning an appointment may not come until January or February 2026.MAURENE COMEY SUES DOJ FOR 'UNLAWFUL' FIRING, DEMANDS REINSTATEMENTSkandalakis asked the court for up to 90 days after receiving the full case file to make that appointment. He said the council is currently managing 21 pending appointments and has handled 448 conflict referrals statewide so far this year."Due to the complexity of this case and the vast personnel and resources required to handle a case of this nature, it will require time to seek a District Attorney Pro Tempore willing to take on this prosecution," the motion reads."Without having the file, the undersigned cannot intelligently answer questions of anyone requested to take the appointment or to do his own diligence in finding a prosecutor who is not encumbered by a significant appearance of impropriety," the motion adds. The request camethree days after a Fulton County judge warnedthat the case could be dismissed "for want of prosecution" unless a replacement prosecutor was named or an extension was requested within 14 days, according to Fox Atlanta.HOUSE COMMITTEE WITHDRAWS JAMES COMEY SUBPOENA FOR JEFFREY EPSTEIN TESTIMONYWhile some early motions and hearings focused on Trump personally, the final disqualification applied to the entire case brought under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act not just to Trumps individual counts. The new motion lists all 15 defendants, including Trump, his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, constitutional law professor John Eastman, and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, among others. Four defendants have already pleaded guilty in the case. The Georgia Court of Appeals in December ruled that Willis and her office could not continue to prosecute the case, citing an "appearance of impropriety" stemming from her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.Willis appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court in January, but last month the high court declined in a 4-3 decision to take up the case. One judge didnt participate and another was disqualified.Skandalakis said last month that once a new prosecutor is appointed it will be "up to him or her what to do with the case."That person could continue on the track Willis had taken, pursue only some charges, or dismiss the case altogether. Finding a prosecutor willing to handle it could be difficult, given its complexity and the resources required.Even if a new prosecutor tries to follow Willis path, it seems unlikely Trump could be prosecuted now that he is the sitting president.Willis indictment accused Trump of pressuring officials to overturn the 2020 vote in Georgia, organizing "fake electors" and harassing election workers.A Fulton County grand jury indicted Trump and 18 others in August 2023, and Trump surrendered at the Fulton County Jail on Aug. 24. Thats when the now-famous mugshot was taken the first ever for a U.S. president. The pair eventually acknowledged the relationship but argued it had no impact on the prosecution. Wade later resigned, but the controversy persisted and the Court of Appeals ruled Willis and her entire office had to be disqualified due to the appearance of impropriety. The Associated Press contributed to this report.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 36 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBernie Williams discusses Yankees' chances at ALDS comeback, differences between Joe Torre and Aaron BooneTrailing 2-0 in the American League Division Series, the New York Yankees are one loss away from their season ending a situation that Bernie Williams had been in during his playing days. The Toronto Blue Jays demolished the Yankees in each of the first two games of the ALDS up north, and the panic meter in the Bronx is high.Williams found himself in a similar hole in 2001, as his dynastic Bronx Bombers were aiming for a fourth straight World Series. Those Yankees lost the first two games of that ALDS at home before winning the next two in Oakland against the Athletics and then winning Game 5 back in the Bronx.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe clich may be to have a short memory, but Williams has another piece of advice for the 2025 Yankees."In a way, you want to forget about the downtimes, but at the same time, you want to keep them in your mind, because you don't want to repeat them," Williams told Fox News Digital in a recent interview. "So I think there is sort of a little bit of a duality where you really think about how hard it is to lose the way that they have lost the last two games, because one thing is losing, but they're being clobbered in two games, especially this time of the year, you know, it's a little embarrassing."There is one "clichish" mentality, though, that Williams wants the Yankees to abide by."You can't really think about the future. Just be in the moment and take it literally one moment at a time, one at-bat at a time, one pitch at a time, and being in that moment, doing what you need to do in that particular moment, the future is gonna take care of itself, because you're doing the steps that are required for you to be successful," Williams said. "And that's the one thing you got to hang your hat on. You do everything in your power to make sure that everything happens."If it doesn't happen, you can always look in the mirror and say, You know what, I did everything I could. And you know, that's the thing you have to live with. Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose. Might as well be us."With the Yankees' season on the brink, manager Aaron Boone is once again at the forefront of the finger-pointing from Yankees fans. But Williams knows Boone is in a much different environment than Joe Torre, who managed Williams for 11 seasons.YANKEES LEGEND BERNIE WILLIAMS COMPARES BASEBALL AND MUSIC CAREERS AS CARNEGIE HALL PERFORMANCE APPROACHES"I think Joe Torre had a lot more to say as far as choosing the team and choosing a lineup. I think Aaron Boone is working with a situation where you have a lot of people, or a lot of mathematicians, checking their analytics and crafting some sort of a lineup for him to make an educated guess, predicting the future outcome of a game that hasn't happened yet based on past performances," Williams said. "I think Aaron is playing at a different time."I think the front office itself is different, especially without Mr. [George] Steinbrenner, which was an ever-present presence and very influential in the decisions that were made. Very low patience, and he wanted to shake things when they needed to be shaken. And I think the front office in this particular reiteration of the club, it's a little bit more slow to make those changes. And I think they have to deal with that."Williams, though, did hint that this Yankees team better yet, the entire league does not put emphasis on "the little things in the game.""Moving runners over, bunting, playing strong defense. It didn't hurt that we had probably the best closer in the game. They're playing a different brand of baseball right now. And I think a lot of those teams that we're playing against have taken this framework of the Yankees and have taken up onto themselves to craft teams in that way. So we're basically fighting ourselves, all these teams, because they have used the same process to craft their teams," Williams said. "And it's kind of hard to have a bull's-eye on your back and say, I'm the team that you have to beat. The Yankees have been that team for so many years."Williams admitted that his dynasty "spoiled" the Yankees fan base into thinking that winning was "as easy as we sort of made it out to be," but even with their backs against the wall, the five-time All-Star feels this year's squad can make some magic happen starting at 8:08 p.m. ET on Tuesday."I think that they have the amount of expectations that are expected from that team right now, because those guys in the '90s did it, why can't you guys do it? And I think not only the fans and the organization, but the players themselves, they have that burden and say, You gotta get this gorilla off your backs, you got at least win one," Williams said."Gleyber Torres, Gary Sanchez, those guys are now a generation ago. But I still think that they still have a great opportunity. They just got to keep doing the things that they need to do to be successful and then just get that little spark of luck. I mean, one game in this series can turn the tide, and we're hoping that that game is [Tuesday]."Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X,and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 35 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBondi clashes with Durbin on National Guard deployment: 'Love Chicago as much as you hate President Trump'Attorney General Pam Bondi clashed with Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., over President Donald Trump's deployment of National Guard troops to Chicago on Tuesday. The exchange came during Bondi's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, with Durbin pressing Bondi to justify the deployment. Bondi refused to detail her communications with the White House regarding the move, but she said the troops are there to protect the residents of Chicago."Why do you want to keep this secret?" Durbin asked. "The American people don't know the rationale behind the deployment of National Guard troops in my state.
