WWW.FOXNEWS.COMNew Hampshire man shot dead during wedding at country club, suspect faces murder chargeThe New Hampshire man fatally shot during a wedding at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua on Saturday night has been identified as 59-year-old Robert "Rob" Steven DeCesare.Authorities allege Hunter Nadeau, 23, of Nashua, opened fire during the wedding celebration, killing DeCesare and wounding two other adults. Nadeau, a former employee of the club, was detained within minutes and now faces a charge of second-degree murder. The shooting lasted under one minute, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella."Getting together for a dance for the bride and groom and then all chaos went off," Tom Bartelson of Pepperell, Massachusetts, who was attending his nephew's wedding, told the Associated Press. "We heard about six shots and everybody ducked for cover and next thing you know were rushed into safe spots and things like that."WITNESS SAYS NEW HAMPSHIRE COUNTRY CLUB SHOOTER YELLED 'FREE PALESTINE' DURING WEDDING VIOLENCE: APWitnesses reported hearing the suspect shout "free Palestine" during the attack. But Attorney General Formella said on Sunday that the shooter made a "number of statements during the event," and that authorities "dont have any evidence at this time that would indicate that Mr. Nadeau was motivated by hate-based motivation"."At this point, the evidence leads us to believe that it is more likely that Mr. Nadeau was simply trying to make a number of statements to create chaos in the moment," Formella said in a press conference Sunday. In a statement to Fox News Digital, DeCesare's wife Charlene described him as a devoted husband, father and friend whose life was cut short just weeks before major family milestones. Charlene shared that Rob grew up in Salem, New Hampshire, before he and Charlene moved to Nashua two years ago."Youd be hard-pressed to find a man more loved, not only by his family but by his many groups of friends from golf, poker and pickleball. He worked incredibly hard his whole life for anything hes ever had. Robs dream was to someday retire, sell everything, and live on a boat in the Caribbean. That dream and all of the others will never come true."He was supposed to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding the fall. That will not happen. His two sons no longer have their father. We were getting ready to celebrate Robs 60th birthday and our 27th wedding anniversary. Those events will not happen."Charlene said she has been "grateful" for the outpouring of support."I cannot say enough how grateful I am for the outpouring of support from our friends and community. The people of Sky Meadow have been beyond amazing and exactly why we moved here. The stellar kindness and professionalism from everyone I have interacted with at Nashua PD and the AG has also been so appreciated."Id also caution everyone to beware the speculation and utter nonsense that is being posted about what happened and why. Its only making it harder for everyone involved, including the police who are trying to do their job."MULTIPLE PEOPLE SHOT AT NEW HAMPSHIRE COUNTRY CLUB, ONE SUSPECT IN CUSTODY: POLICEAsked about the suspects arraignment scheduled for Monday, Charlene said her family is concentrating on healing."We are focusing on the love and support of family and friends, trying to get whatever measure of healing we can. Our energy is here."As Ive said before, every officer, detective and advocate we have met has been absolutely incredible. We have to believe that the right people are working hard on our behalf, and that justice will be served. Meanwhile, my focus is on my kids and everyone else who loved Rob and is in pain right now."WATCH:Officials have said that there is no known connection between Nadeau and DeCesare. The owner of the Sky Meadow Country Club, Rob Parsons, described DeCesare in a statement on Sunday as a "hero" and expressed gratitude "for the courageous efforts of patrons and employees who acted selflessly to prevent further tragedy.""This was the heinous act of a coward who will be held to account for what he did," Parsons wrote.Parsons added that the two people who were shot and wounded included one guest as well as one employee, who were each recovering. Authorities also reported that four other individuals reported non-gunshot injuries.Nadeau has been charged with second-degree murder in DeCesares killing, with additional charges expected for the other victims. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Sept. 22, at the Ninth Circuit Court in Nashua. The New Hampshire Attorney Generals Office and Nashua police are investigating. Officials urge anyone with information to contact the Nashua Police Department at 603-594-3500.The Associated Press contributed to this report.0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 9 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump assassination attempt suspect Ryan Routh questions first witnesses as case nears its final stageRyan Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate then-presidential candidate Donald Trump at his Florida golf course last year, said he would not take the stand in his own criminal case on Monday the strongest sign yet that the defense is preparing to rest its case and kick the trial into its final phase before jury deliberation.Routh, 59, has been representing himself in the federal criminal trial. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to assassinate a major presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, and possession of a firearm, among other crimes. If convicted, he could face life in prison. He previously floated the possibility that he could testify on his own behalf a risky strategy that would have waived his Fifth Amendment protections against self-incrimination, and opened him up to cross-examination by federal prosecutors.Judge Aileen Cannon pressed Routh repeatedly Monday morning on whether hed had enough time to consider his decision or wanted to consult standby counsel. He said he was sure. Prosecutors then asked for the lunch hour to decide if they would call rebuttal witnesses. If none are called, the defense is expected to rest within hours, clearing the way for closing arguments and jury deliberations.TRUMP TRIAL CONTINUES WITH MORE FBI TESTIMONY AFTER RIFLE CALLED PREPARED TO FIRERouth opened his defense Monday with Michael McClay, a gun specialist and his only expert witness, followed by testimony from a family friend and a former colleague.McClay, an expert in sniper firearms and tactics with an extensive career in military and law enforcement, confirmed at the outset of Rouths questioning that he was subpoenaed to testify, and did not want to appear on Rouths behalf.Routh spent most of the time questioning McClay about the operability scope of the rifle in question, including trying to cast doubt on the likelihood that the SKS rifle in question could not hit a target 375 yards away.McClay, in response, said it depended on the skill of the shooter but confirmed that the rifle was capable of hitting a target from that distance.During cross-examination, the prosecution asked McClay about the likelihood of the rifle inflicting damage on a person if it was shot at that distance and hit an intended target. McClay said yes, the person would be hurt. Routh asked in McClay's view whether he believed that a cowardly sniper would have an exit strategy if their plan failed, to which McClay said, "in all his missions, there was some way to escape."FBI PHONE EXTRACTIONS, DNA TESTIMONY HEADLINE DAY 7 OF RYAN ROUTH TRIALRouth's witness list was sparse compared to the dozens of witnesses introduced by prosecutors, including forensics experts, FBI agents, and Secret Service agents over the course of a two-week period.By contrast, Routh's list included McClay, family friend Atwill Milsun, and a former colleague, Marshall Hinshaw. The other witnesses spoke briefly and did not present much in the way of new or relevant information, as was expected, given their personal ties to the defendant.Routh was also not expected to present any evidence on his own behalf. His earlier submissions to the court were deemed to be inadmissible. Prosecutors said the exhibits include books that were authored by Routh, handwritten drawings, and Eagle Scout awards from his childhood.Last week, Cannon said that she would keep the exhibits on the docket and would give Routh the ability to challenge the courts ruling, should he choose to do so.Routh's attempt to defend himself in his own criminal trial, using scant evidence and a thin list of witnesses, starkly contrasts with the prosecution, which spent nearly two weeks carefully and extemporaneously making its case against Routh to a jury in Fort Pierce, Florida. In that span, jurors heard from 38 witnesses and reviewed hundreds of exhibits text messages, call logs, bank records, and cellphone data linking Routh to the alleged gun purchase and placing him near Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach in the weeks before the attempted assassination.Prosecutors also presented extensive digital and forensic evidence. FBI officials testified last week that Rouths DNA was found on the rifle scope grip, a glove, a bungee cord, and a bag recovered from the "snipers nest" near the sixth hole, where he allegedly waited at least 12 hours for the presidents arrival.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPBefore resting its case Friday, the governments final witness, FBI Supervisory Special Agent Kimberly McGreevy, walked the jury through extensive cellphone data, license plate records, surveillance footage, and other information prosecutors alleged tied Routh to Trumps movements in the weeks before the alleged attempt.0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 9 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMConservative PAC turns tables on left-wing narrative defending teachers who smear Charlie KirkA conservative political action committee launched an effort to expose teachers across the country justifying Charlie Kirks assassination online and is pushing back on claims from the left that conservatives are being hypocritical about free speech.Stefano Forte, executive director of 1776 Project PAC, spoke to Fox News digital about thenew form live on the organizations website where users can flag teachers and administrators who have justified Kirks killing online, a form he says has already yielded an "endless stream of tips.""Many people are essentially happy that Charlie Kirk has been killed. And these people are in charge of the next generations," Forte said.As conservatives online havelaunched a variety of efforts to expose online hate directed at Kirk, numerous elected officials and pundits on the left have accused the political right of cracking down on free speech, which Forte called "ridiculous."EXPERTS WARN LEFTIST CELEBRATIONS OF CHARLIE KIRK'S DEATH SIGNAL A DANGEROUS MAINSTREAM SHIFT IN POLITICS"When they had social power, they didnt care about our free speech at all," Forte said. They didnt care who was canceled for having basic Republican opinions, or fired for supporting Trump, or even for retweeting Charlie Kirk. The only speech they want protected is their own.""No one is saying they cant talk. They can post whatever they wantbut there are consequences. If youre openly celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk, you shouldnt be teaching children. Thats not about free speech; its about judgment and character. These are cruel people, and its dangerous to have them in classrooms."LIBERAL PROFESSORS GROUP BACKS FACULTY SPEECH AFTER CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION, SILENT ON CONDEMNING ATTACKSocial media posts celebrating, justifying, or downplaying Kirks assassination have been prevalent in the academic community, with many of the individuals losing their jobs as a result. In one case, Fox News Digitalfirst reported that an administrator at George Washington University posted on social media his thoughts about why it was "fair" that Kirk was killed and that he felt "no thoughts" and "no prayers" over the killing."It also points to something bigger: if youre okay with Charlie Kirk being killed, then youre likely okay with people who agree with himor people further right than himbeing killed too," Forte told Fox News Digital. "Thats a serious problem. So yes, were amplifying their speech. They chose to make it public. Were just making sure people know what they said."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPThe George Washington University administrators Facebook post was "liked" and "loved" by at least 37 people, some of whom were employed at universities across the country."The rot is incredibly deep," Forte told Fox News Digital. " Some far-left organizations, like DSA, even put out PSAs telling their members what to post. It shows how many of these people are out there, self-reporting. Theyve gotten so comfortable in the cancel culture they built that they assumed only right-wingers could ever get in trouble for speaking their mind. They thought nothing would happen to them."0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 9 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWarren reveals Democratic heavyweights warned her not to say economy was 'rigged' in 2012 DNC speechSen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., revealed in an interview published Monday that she was once warned by powerful Democrats not to say that the "economy is rigged" against average Americans.Warren told New York Times Opinion editorial director David Leonhardt during his podcast, "The Opinions," that the "powers that be in the Democratic Party," which Leonhardt interpreted as the Obama White House, instructed her in 2012 not to say the system was "rigged" in a major address."And they say, No. Take those lines out. You cannot say that this economy is rigged. And I said, Huh? But it is. And they said, No, you cant say that," she said on the podcast.CHARLIE KIRK ALLY DEFENDS JIMMY KIMMEL SUSPENSION OVER 'VILE LIE' AMID FIRST AMENDMENT CRITICISMThe progressive Democrat said she wanted to make the line a central part of her speech at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, held just months before former President Barack Obamas re-election and her own Senate victory."So I sit down, I write my speech," she said. "I go back and forth with the folks on my team on this speech, and the line I have in this speech is something like, People all across this country feel like the game is rigged against them. And theyre right. It is. Then I talk about the things I think we should do."She said she sent the speech to be approved by party leadership the Obama administration at the time adding they warned her to omit the lines.KAMALA HARRIS REVEALS WHAT BIDEN TOLD HER JUST BEFORE CRUCIAL DEBATE WITH TRUMP THAT LEFT HER 'ANGRY'Warren said the unnamed higher-ups eventually relented and allowed her to keep the line. She added that while Democrats had a "huge tug of war" over the issue, President Donald Trump later embraced the "rigged" message and used it effectively in his campaigns."And the back and forth over just identifying the problem in 2012 is a huge tug of war. Now, ultimately, I got to leave it in. It was my speech, and they let me leave it in. And Im grateful for that. But four years later, when Donald Trump ran, he talked about rigged every day," she said. She mentioned how Trump made this approach effective during his 2024 campaign."He kept saying on Day 1. In other words, he saw the problem and he said, I get it. This is painful for you. I mean, in his words, and he said, I am making a credible claim that I am going to make your life better economically starting on the first day I got sworn in."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREWarren said the Democratic Party needs to focus on addressing Americans economic struggles going forward."People feel like the system is rigged against them," Warren said in her address in 2012. "And here's the painful part: they're right. The system is rigged. Look around. Oil companies guzzle down billions in subsidies. Billionaires pay lower tax rates than their secretaries."She went on to unseat Republican Sen. Scott Brown that year and has been re-elected two more times.0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 16 مشاهدة 0 معاينة

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMGavin Newsom faces backlash for 'reckless' post about Kristi Noem after Charlie Kirk's assassinationA cryptic X post from California Gov. Gavin Newsom's press office remained under criticism Monday, with the acting U.S. attorney in California calling out the rhetoric as "reckless" on the heels of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The post, which read, "Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today. Youre welcome, America," prompted Bill Essayli to make a Secret Service threat assessment referral over the weekend."I was shocked when I saw that," he said Monday on "Fox & Friends.""That's the exact same rhetoric we saw leading up to the assassination of Charlie Kirk just a little over a week ago, and for the governor to do that and send that out was completely reckless, and we don't know the intent, and we don't know how that's gonna be received by left-wing extremists, so I made the referral to the Secret Service out here in California.NEWSOM SAYS TRUMP HAS RELENTLESS, UNHINGED OBSESSION WITH CALIFORNIA DURING STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS"They're gonna do a full-threat assessment, and they're going to see if there's any danger to the secretary. They're charged with keeping her protected."Newsom's office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's prior request for comment. However, the governor's press office hit back against Essayli with another X post, claiming they had referred President Donald Trump for investigation over a 2020 tweet in which he made a similar reference to Vermont senator and then-Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders. At the same time, a new California law unmasking most officers, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, garnered criticism from Essayli for allegedly opening the door to further harm while the threat level against law enforcement runs high."Our agents, our men and women who signed up to protect our communities, don't deserve this," he said."Assaults against them are up over 1,000% and the left continues to fuel this insanity, hysteria, that the federal government is somehow an illegitimate force, and it's okay to oppose ICE."He continued, "What they do is they lay the gasoline and the matches out, and they get people spun up, and they hope that someone does what they want them to do, which is burn the place down because they can't get their way, and we're not putting up with it, and if you try that here, you'll end up in handcuffs."POTENTIAL PELOSI SUCCESSOR RE-UPS BILL TO BAN ICE FROM OBSCURING IDENTITIES: SHUT THIS MASK ST DOWNEssayli's warning to would-be perpetrators comes amid relentless pushback against the Trump administration's illegal immigration crackdown, which administration officials insist has largely targeted criminal aliens.California's new law in question, signed by Newsom on Saturday, follows outbursts from state and local officials who have accused federal immigration enforcement efforts of being a source of "disorder."The bill, which was presented to Newsom on Wednesday, makes it a misdemeanor crime for local, state or federal law enforcement to wear masks or personal disguises during their duties, unless an officer is undercover or performing a tactical operation that requires protective gear. The bill would also impose a civil penalty against officers for "tortious conduct," including false imprisonment or false arrest of an individual while wearing a facial covering.Essayli said he has directed agencies to disregard the bill, arguing California has no jurisdiction over the federal government.Newsom argued that due process rights are being stripped away from "immigrants," adding that agents should reveal their identities and that state officials have the right to push back against federal enforcement measures."Unmarked cars, people in masks, people quite literally disappearing. No due process, no rights no rights in a democracy where we have rights, immigrants have rights," Newsom said."We have the right to stand up and push back, and that's what we're doing here today. This is a disgrace. This is an outrage what we have allowed to happen in this country. To ICE: unmask. What are you afraid of?"Anti-ICE protests have erupted in major cities across the nation, including in Los Angeles, where some activists grew violent and were taken into custody.Fox News' Alexandra Koch, Sophia Compton and Jasmine Baehr contributed to this report.0 التعليقات 0 المشاركات 29 مشاهدة 0 معاينة
