WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMIKE DAVIS: Trump's latest pick to reform the federal judiciary is another home runRecently, Rebecca Taibleson appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee for her confirmation hearing to a Wisconsin-based seat on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, a key step toward further solidifying President Trumps strong judicial legacy. In choosing Taibleson, Trump selected a standout from a highly qualified field. Shes not only a seasoned prosecutor and sharp legal thinker, but shes a proven defender of the Constitution and conservative values.Taibleson spent over a decade as a federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of Wisconsin, putting violent criminals behind bars. She doesnt just theorize about public safetyshe delivers it. She handles complex appeals and knows how to write strong legal arguments, and she wins cases and protects communities. Every day in her career, she applies the law with clarity, discipline, and purpose.'BOLD AND FEARLESS': TRUMP LAUNCHES NEW WAVE OF JUDICIAL NOMINATIONMost importantly, in her role as the cochief of the Appellate Division of that U.S. Attorneys office for nearly a decade, not only did Taibleson imprison violent and dangerous criminals who were terrorizing the community, she ensured they stayed there. There are too many weak judges who free criminals when they should rot in prison for their crimes. Rebecca Taibleson is not one of them. Her credentials speak for themselves. She clerked for the late, great Justice Antonin Scalia and then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh. She embraced a constitutionalist philosophy early in her career and never wavered. At her Senate confirmation hearing, she made it crystal clear: judges must interpret the law as written, not how they wish it were written. Judges must not rewrite laws based on personal views or political trends. She follows the original public meaning of the law and honors the Constitution.Taibleson also knows how to stand her ground. During one of the most brutal nomination fights in recent memory, she stepped up and testified in support of her former boss Brett Kavanaugh, a nomination fight for which I helped lead the charge as Chairman Chuck Grassleys chief counsel for nominations on the Senate Judiciary Committee. While the left smeared and attacked, Rebecca Taibleson didnt flinch. She stood firm in defense of the rule of law and the truth. That moment proved her courage and character. She also served in President Trumps solicitor generals office the top government appellate advocates. She fought and won legal battles at the Supreme Court. She defended Trump administration policies on immigration, religious liberty, and constitutional limits. She didnt just serve under President Trump, she helped him win. Her record shows loyalty, competence, and backbone. Some groups have raised concernsand even opposition before they had a chance to watch her testimony at her Senate confirmation hearing. Some are fair points; most are not. They wanted someone else. Theyre circulating misleading claims and ignoring facts. Theyre criticizing a nominee who far exceeds the standard for confirmation. President Trump and his team reviewed many good candidates. Like with any nominee, they balanced all the pros and cons. While no nominee is ever perfect, Rebecca Taibleson proved through her long record and unflinching public testimony that she is outstanding. She has a proven track record of being bold and fearless.PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCES MULTIPLE JUDICIAL NOMINEES, ACCUSES COURT SYSTEM OF BLOCKING HIM FROM DOING HIS JOBTaibleson handled her confirmation hearing exactly the way a strong nominee should. She didnt dodge questions or pander. She answered directly and confidently and laid out her commitment to textualism, originalism, and constitutionalism. She emphasized the separation of powers and reminded the Senate that judges dont make policy. Elected officials do.On precedent, she spoke with clarity. She said Dobbs v. Jackson controls abortion law, and she will follow it. She refused to play politics with hot-button issues, but she left no doubt about her commitment to the Constitution. She also promised to bring civility and discipline to the bench. She wont use opinions to take swipes at parties, public officials, or opposing views. She respects the role of the judiciary and knows the difference between law and politics. She pledged to uphold judicial restraint.Taiblesons background shows real-world depth. Early in her career, she worked with Israels national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance, and blood bank service Magen David Adom during the Second Intifada. She helped defend civilians from terrorist attacks. That experience gave her a deeper understanding of law, national security, justice, and what is at stake for Western civilization. It also showed her values: courage, service, and loyalty to free societies under attack.Taibleson has answered the questions raised by her detractors from the left and the right. She addressed every issue and demonstrated exactly why she belongs on the Seventh Circuit. Her hearing and record proves her fitness. She showed strength, clarity, and deep legal knowledge. And she put to bed any concerns.President Trump built the best judicial legacy in a generation. He transformed the Supreme Court into the first constitutionalist Court in 90 years. He reshaped the federal judiciary with principled, constitutionalist judges. He made those choices carefully, and he made the same careful decision here. Rebecca Taibleson fits that mold. She brings real experience, proven loyalty, and a first-rate legal mind. The Senate must confirm this bold and fearless judicial nominee. She earned this seat by standing up when it counted. She served President Trump with distinction and fought for her country in the courts. She prosecuted criminals and protected communities. She embraces originalism and the rule of law.President Trump chose right. The Senate must finish the job.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 21 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMCharlie Kirk died for free speech and universities still have nothing to sayWhen a man is publicly executed for his views on a university campus, one would expect institutions of higher education to respond immediately if only to confront the chilling effect such violence unleashes. One would expect them to reassure students that their campus remains a place for free inquiry. One would expect them to guarantee that future speakers of every political persuasion are not only welcome but safe from mortal threat. Yet following the gruesome assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk, universities have remained largely silent. This silence is a far cry from the deafening chorus that followed George Floyds death in 2020, when student inboxes overflowed with moralizing emails from university presidents, provosts, deans and entire departments. At my alma mater, the University of Chicago, Dean of Students Jay Ellison declared Floyd "murdered" before any court had ruled; Provost Ka Yee C. Lee pronounced Floyds death "racially motivated"; and President Robert J. Zimmer claimed "true freedom and equality" were out of reach in America.Departments piled on too: the English Department limited graduate admissions to only those in Black studies; the Physics Department ordered participation in a day-long work stoppage in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter riots; and the History Department pledged allegiance to the Marxist, fraudulent Black Lives Matter organization. Not one of these statements condemned the riots destroying American cities instead, they sanctified them as "justice."COLLEGES WARNED NOT TO INVOKE CHARLIE KIRKS DEATH TO SILENCE FREE SPEECH, UNFAIRLY HIKE SECURITY COSTSIronically, the University of Chicago brags about its "Chicago Principles," which commit the school to open debate and free inquiry, and its "Kalven Report," which declares the universitys institutional neutrality on political and social issues to protect that freedom. Dont be fooled. These commitments are marketing brochures for donors, not the reality on campus. What is more relevant to the University of Chicago: the death of George Floyd, which became a rallying point for riots and extreme racial politics, or the public killing of an innocent man on a campus an act that will inevitably chill university free speech nationwide? The answer is obvious. Its not just Chicago. This week, The Federalist contacted Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Penn, Cornell, Brown, Columbia and Dartmouth, as well as a host of other major institutions. Every single one had issued grandiose statements about Floyd. Not one had a word to say about Charlies assassination.Charlie would have predicted this double standard. Its why he dedicated himself to college campuses; he understood the heart of the lefts movement beats in the academy an institution that has been steadily conquered by Marxism.FEARLESS TOUR TAKES CHARLIE KIRKS FREE SPEECH MISSION TO COLLEGES NATIONWIDEUniversities were once entirely Christian and rooted in the pursuit of knowing God and cultivating virtue. Todays woke curricula peddle fake grievance disciplines such as fat studies and queer studies and actively question whether "truth" exists at all.Marxism, by its very nature, is hostile to truth (God) and to peace. To Marxists, there is no divine authority only power struggles between the haves and have-nots. Raw power itself becomes the closest thing to a god, and violence is always justified as the engine of "progress." Thats why radical trans activists feel righteous when they attack Christian schoolchildren they brand as oppressors, and why BLM rioters felt justified burning cities. In their worldview, violence isnt wrong its necessary.Educating young people in knowledge but not in virtue is a recipe for disaster. The 2020 summer of rage and the glorification of accused UnitedHealthcare CEO-killer Luigi Mangione shows this in stark relief.TOP CONSERVATIVE SPEAKERS VOW THEY 'WILL NOT BE SILENCED' AFTER CHARLIE KIRK'S ASSASSINATIONThis is why Charlie Kirk is a martyr. He died because he dared to speak truth, informed by his Christian faith, in the very temples where lies are taught. His presence on campus was a rebuke to the indoctrination machine, and his murder was the curriculum made flesh. What happened to Charlie was not unforeseeable; it was the endpoint of a long, visible trajectory. In 2017, at UC Berkeley the so-called birthplace of the free speech movement a mob of students set fires, injured bystanders and caused more than $100,000 in damage to stop right-wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking. That night of violence cascaded into the collapse of Milos entire campus tour as venues backed out and security costs skyrocketed. The mob didnt just silence one speech they silenced every future event.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONCharlie began touring campuses after many major conservative speakers had given up. He secured insurance, hired security, bravely pressed forward and was murdered for it.If Charlie, with his resources and courage, could not survive a campus tour, who else can? Multimillionaire Ben Shapiro, backed by his multimillion-dollar company The Daily Wire, has vowed to take up the cause. Good on him. But how many others can afford the millions in premiums, guards and legal exposure? Courage alone cannot pay the bills. Conviction alone cannot cover the liability. In todays America, the First Amendment is being slowly repealed not by law, but by liability. And the universities? They are not neutral. Despite their billion-dollar endowments and steady flow of taxpayer subsidies, since Charlies assassination last week, Americas universities have offered little assurance they will foster or physically protect the free exchange of ideas. Their silence does not come across as neutrality it leans toward complicity. And thats no surprise. Their curricula have long been seedbeds for the ideology that fueled both the George Floyd 2020 summer of rage and, now, Charlies assassination.Make no mistake: there is symbolism in the fact that Charlie was killed by a shot in the neck. His voice was silenced. He will never again step onto a campus stage, and students will never again witness him in action. Now, Charlies voice is gone. He will never again step onto a campus stage, and students will never again witness him in action. And with their silence, universities are saying what they really think: Charlies words were never welcome.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM EVITA DUFFY ALFONSO0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 39 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMDemi Tebow warns against social media for self-worth, points to Bible's 'perfect plan' for each lifeDemi Tebow, wife of Tim Tebow, is sharing "bite-sized pieces of truth" as she aims to help others find lasting worth and belief in themselves during times of struggle, stress and pain.Fox News Digital spoke to her about a range of topics, including her new 100-day devotional, "Knowing Who You Are Because of Who God Is," as well as the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, who "stood so immensely courageously and boldly for what he believed in and what he believed was right," she said.Tebow said too many people today may be questioning their own worth and looking in the wrong places for validation and wanted to address the point.DEMI TEBOW PRAISES CHARLIE KIRK'S LEGACY OF STANDING UP FOR HIS BELIEFSDoubt can arise when the enemy tempts people to question if they're worthy, deserving and valuable but the Bible contains the truth, she said. And "I've relied on pointing back to the truth," she added, in her own life."The ways that Jesus loves us, cares for us, has a perfect plan for each one of us in our lives helped me in a season of waiting, of frustration, of letdowns and pointed me back to truth every single time," she said.Tebow gave birth to the couple's first child in August. The experience of watching her new baby grow since then has taught her to learn about life all over again, she said."Tim and I have prayed over Daphne's life that she will truly live her life according to the calling that God has for her," she said. "I want her to know that there is a perfect plan for her life and that God had a perfect calling for her."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTERTebow dedicated her devotional to her daughter and wrote the book while pregnant, she said. "Tim and I banter back and forth a lot, guessing, you know, what are the things that she might like or be interested in. But whatever that is, our prayer, really, is that she will rule and reign, not in the sense of power, but in the sense of the calling that God has specifically for her life."She added, "I think it's so easy to rely on what other people might say of us, what social media might point us to, might tell us our worth should originate from."For more Lifestyle articles, visit foxnews.com/lifestyleYet "[God's] love for us will never change and who He created us to be will never change."As the 2017 Miss Universe winner, Tebow said she knows firsthand about idolizing something that is not eternal. She cited 1 Corinthians 9.25: "Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."She added, "Paul tells us as believers not to chase perishable crowns. And [with] a pageant history and background myself, I physically wore a crown, but that crown is not something that lasted."In contrast, she said, "I truly believe the impact that we get to have on other people's lives can be eternal. I hope that's something this book inspires readers to focus on."She also referenced the "responsibility to reflect on God the incredible God that we serve. Then we can also know fully who we've been created to be."0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 15 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMOne of Charlie Kirk's final posts was a gift to whichever party will take itA few hours before he was assassinated, Charlie Kirks last batch of Facebook posts included a critique of a Wall Street Journal article concerning the growing national effects of Kentuckys landmark child custody law, which has a rebuttable presumption that assumes equal parenting time is in a childs best interest. The WSJ article noted the falling divorce rate in the Bluegrass State because of the historic law and how four more states have passed similar laws. However, theres another compelling reason for both parties to push for shared parenting: Voters want it and evidence shows it affects how they vote. And the more vocal political candidates are about supporting equal parenting time custody, the more votes they get.NY TIMES COLUMNIST DEFENDS BELIEF THAT CHARLIE KIRK PRACTICED POLITICS 'THE RIGHT WAY' AFTER LIBERAL BACKLASHAfter Kentuckys shared parenting law roared into life, the soon-to-follow fall election showed a direct correlation between winning percentage of contested races and lawmakers support of the bill. Of the contested House races, 100% of the sponsors won, 90% of those who voted yes won, 80% of those who did not vote won and none of those who voted no won. In fact, every bill sponsor who ran again won despite 14 seats changing parties. The Republicans and Democrats should not be surprised by this because the voters are constantly telling them they support shared parenting. Its not just in Kentucky, either. National Parents Organization has commissioned independent polling in 29 states and shared parenting has massive support in EVERY state, red and blue alike. Not only do large majorities of both Republicans and Democrats support the legislation, but so do majorities of every demographic. It does not matter whether women, men, African Americans or Hispanics are polled. They all show majority support for shared parenting.Kirks post supporting equal custody laws subtly guided the parties to promote shared parenting because it makes voters more likely to vote for whichever party provides a pro-shared parenting candidate. Either party gaining a few extra voters in a swing state like North Carolina could sway an election. Further, Tar Heel State voters are telling the parties loud and clear how to get more votes: Pass shared parenting. An astonishing 94% saidthey are "more likely to vote for a candidate who supports children spending equal or nearly equal time with each parent ...when both parents are fit and willing to be parents." Voters in crucial Pennsylvania are telling the parties the same thing at a 91% clip. In Wisconsin, the tipping point state in the 2016 presidential election, its even higher, at 96%. In every swing state polled, candidates can gain a similar boost with Georgias 94% and New Hampshires 95% polled support.KEY SCOTUS PARENTAL RIGHTS CASES DRAW MCMAHON, MOMS FOR LIBERTY TO RALLY ON COURT STEPSIt's surprising that neither party has made a big push on the topic. First, shared parenting seems like an obvious Democrat issue. The Democrat national brand touts equality issues, and whats more equal than equal child custody time for both parents? The Democrats can promote shared parenting, and it will resonate with their base, which demands legal fairness for all groups. African Americans and LGBTQ individuals have much mistrust of the legal system, and many do not believe they can get a fair child custody hearing if the other parent is White and/or straight. Further, the liberal party has spent money studying how to make inroads with men. Well, only 13% of Kentuckians said the family courts would NOT be likely to give men less child custody time.Speaking of men, arent they supposed to be on the Republicans side of the gender gap? So, why isnt this an obvious GOP issue? Their base strength is with men, a group that not only supports shared parenting but feels they are not given fair treatment in court. Further, the Republicans want to make inroads with minorities groups. Minority men and women support equal parenting and that includes, of course, the crucial Hispanic swing vote.In a closely divided nation, voters are telling the parties the same thing Charlie Kirk did: Support pro-equality family law. The Democrats or the Republicans can gain an edge in swing states and swing voting blocks by taking up an issue both of their bases want. Or, maybe I should say their current bases because this powerful issue gives either party a shot at eating into the others base.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 22 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMCharlie Kirk memorial security on high alert: What the public should knowAs security preparations intensify for Charlie Kirks memorial service in Arizona, a former NYPD detective and security consultant warns mourners to remain alert."Pull your face out of your phone, put it in your pocket. Pay attention," Pat Brosnan urged. The memorial, set for this weekend at State Farm Stadium, is expected to draw an enormous crowd. Officials estimate that more than 100,000 people may gather in and around the venue, including attendees inside the 63,000-seat stadium and overflow areas outside."From the moment you arrive have your eyes wide open who's to your right, who's to your left, who's behind you? What are they doing?" Brosnan told Fox News Digital. "Eyes in the backs and the sides of your head."TRUMPS SECURITY UNDER SCRUTINY AS SECRET SERVICE BRACES FOR KIRK MEMORIALAccording to a law enforcement bulletin obtained by ABC News, authorities are "tracking several threats of unknown credibility.""Violent extremists and unaffiliated lone offenders may view the memorial service or related events as attractive attack targets due to the attendance of these individuals, other senior U.S. government officials, state and local government officials, and political activists and due to major international media attention," the memo reportedly says. The Department of Homeland Security has designated Kirks memorial service aLevel 1 Special Event, the highest possible rating, matching Super Bowl-level security planning.Officials state this designation is "one step below National Special Security Event (NSSE) which would be Olympic security or inauguration."CHARLIE KIRK FUNERAL RECEIVES HIGHEST SECURITY DESIGNATION FROM FEDERAL OFFICIALS AMID REPORTS OF THREATSAmong those expected to pay respects are President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and other prominent political figures.TheU.S. Secret Serviceis now the lead agency, coordinating efforts across state and local law enforcement. Multiple drone units, aerial surveillance, and magnetometer checkpoints will be deployed throughout the State Farm Stadium area."Even while at the stadium there could be someone in that stadium who was bent on evil," Brosnan warns. "The collective eyes and ears of 63,000 thats 126,000 eyes, 126,000 ears they could see or hear something that could be critical."Brosnan, who now advises on national-level security planning, says the most important threat indicator isn't what someonelooks like, butwhat they're doing."Not just appearance but behavior," he says. "If you see suspicious behavior, anything that you think is anomalous or weird or out of character trust your instincts. Notify security."His core advice:"See something, say something."TRUMP, VANCE, OTHER PROMINENT POLITICAL FIGURES TO SPEAK AT SUNDAY STADIUM EVENT HONORING CHARLIE KIRK"Its a million times better to report and be wrong than to just suppress it," Brosnan added. "Dont be ashamed if youre wrong. No one will chastise you."Brosnan emphasized that the most vulnerable zones at any large-scale event are not always inside the venue but just outside of it."The parking lot is an absolutepetri dish for bad behavior," he cautioned. "They could perhaps do it in the parking lot before they get into the very high-level [security checkpoint]."He warned that attackers often exploitareas just outside perimeter security, such as parking garages, sidewalks, or even transit hubs."Any of those evil acts could be perpetrated even near the stadium, within miles, within blocks," he said. "Thats why you just have to be on your game at all times."RED HATS AND CHANTS OF 'USA' MARK VIGIL HONORING SLAIN CONSERVATIVE LEADER CHARLIE KIRK: 'ACT'Despite the full weight of federal and local security coordination, Brosnan was realistic about the limitations of modern threat detection."There are weapons that could get past even the most technologically efficient systems out there," he said. "The reality is, [those weapons] could get in there."Which is why Brosnan says public vigilance is not optional its essential.More than just a technical or tactical issue, Brosnan says situational awareness is about shared responsibility."There could be someone near you who hears something, sees something and they have to report it immediately, immediately, immediately," he stressed.Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika Kirk, and their two young children. Erika, along with the president, vice president, and other dignitaries, is expected to speak at the upcoming service.Kirk was fatally shot last week while addressing an event hosted by the Turning Point chapter at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The accused, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is currently in custody without bail and faces multiple charges, including murder.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 22 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMReporters Notebook: Israeli hostage families plead, peace falters, and war grinds on in GazaIve been reporting from the Mideast for some 25 years now. And that hackneyed cliche still works "The more things change The more they stay the same".Which is not to say the three weeks weve stayed here this time have been dull. There have been more ups and downs than a run-down roller coaster at an old Luna Park. Our first field shoot was appropriately enough to visit released hostages and families of captives of Hamas. Because, for the majority of Israelis, this is one of the most important topics.48 people held by terrorists, 20 still alive. Their time of imprisonment, the nearly 2 years of this Gaza war.SPAIN'S PRIME MINISTER SPARKS OUTRAGE OVER ALLEGED NUCLEAR THREAT AGAINST ISRAELWe met the families on Day 700 of the hostages captivity. Lishay Lava-Mira begged for her husband Omri to come home. Liron Berman was sure his twin brothers would make it ("Theyre strong"). And Keith Siegel, a hostage, himself, for close to 500 days, articulate and healthy, looked beyond the Israeli government for help. "I call upon Trump to continue his efforts."Early in our stay there was hope a new peace plan from the U.S. might gain traction. All 48 hostages would be released in exchange for 3,000 Palestinian prisoners, and a cease-fire to assess the next steps. That seemingly reasonable plan took hits left, right and center.CRUZ SLAMS UN'S ISRAEL GENOCIDE CHARGE, PUSHES FOR CONSEQUENCESFirst a horror we learned about as wed finished a quick breakfast at our hotel. Two gunmen shooting up a busy commuter bus and bus stop in Jerusalem, leaving six dead and many more injured. The scenes were horrific and the actions to eliminate the terrorists brave. Then the next morning, as cameraman Ben and I were doing a routine round-up of the news on the hotel balcony we call home, I noticed in the corner of my eye longtime and dedicated producer Yael inside our studio room jumping up and down.Israel had done the unthinkable, targeting Hamas leadership in what should have been the neutral zone of Doha, Qatar. The militants claimed they were discussing the peace plan at the time. That U.S. proposal became as dead as any victims the Israelis managed to hit (apparently no leadership). And then to put the final "paid" to peace talks. The much-touted full-scale ground invasion of Gaza City by Israel was launched. To finish off some 3,000 remaining Hamas fighters and their infrastructure. As Netanyahu put it "What starts in Gaza (the ugly Hamas massacre and hostage-taking of Oct. 7.) ends in Gaza."And this is when the frustration sets in for grizzled combat reporters like me, and our top-notch war team of camera Ben, Producer Yael, and Security Rob. As they have throughout the war, Israel limiting access to the Gaza action. So we depend on local journalists to show us the horror. The destroyed urban scene. And most importantly, the vast and ugly images of human suffering.Hundreds of thousands of civilians, many not Hamas supporters, having to deal with the living hell that the terrorists and the fighting have imposed on them.Remember that line, "I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy"?Well, maybe Id go with it regardingHamas, but not these poor Palestinian children who know nothing of the geopolitics of the situation. To their credit, IDF officials tell us they are moving slowly through the lunar landscape that is now Gaza. Careful not to endanger civilians and /or hostages.Somehow, with Hamas-backed local health officials indicating 65,000 have already been killed after 2 years of war, it seems somewhat after the fact. But that means, again, according to the officials weve spoken to, this whole Gaza City process could take as long as four months to complete. Too long for the morale-sapped reservists fighting the war.Too long for the inhabitants enduring it all.Too long for the desperate hostages.Unless theres a breakthrough. No wonder the locals here look to President Donald Trump and/or a range of countries, bodies, figures (yes, Pope Leo) to try to intercede beyondthe local leaders, Israels past duels with foes like Hezbollah and Iran seemed like well-tuned 21stcentury war-making.The fighting in Gaza is more like early 20thcentury ugly World War I trench warfare. In between our live shots and reporting in Tel Aviv, we occasionally nip out to a few of the bars and restaurants that dot this seaside metropolisdespite all, running full tilt. And wonder what this country would be like, as well, of course, what it would be like for the wonderfully diverse Palestinian population without the yoke of war around their shoulders. No answers this trip.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 22 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBROADCAST BIAS: Networks cant handle truth behind Charlie Kirks assassinationIn their own minds, the makers of broadcast network news think their mission is to hold powerful institutions accountable, to bring the facts to bear on public issues and inform the public for the most robust version of democracy.Thats not a picture thats emerged of their coverage since Charlie Kirk was mercilessly murdered in Utah on Sept. 10.. From the first moments of authorities identifying the alleged shooter as Tyler Robinson, the networks sounded like they didnt want to hold the suspect accountable, that they couldnt acknowledge the emerging facts, and some network journalists and entertainers aggressively misinformed the public.Everything they present as "news" is manufactured in political calculation, and in the case of the Kirk murder, they havent wanted their side to be blamed for the assassinationeven if its painfully obvious that the alleged shooter was a leftist. This first came to light with Robinsons arrest on September 12.EX-ESPN STAR KEITH OLBERMANN FACES IMMENSE BACKLASH OVER CHARLIE KIRK SLIGHTWe quickly learned the bullet casings had messages including, "hey fascist! CATCH!" Another referred to a song "Bella Ciao," which celebrated the end of Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. But somehow its that unclear that Robinsons alleged targeting of "fascists," a word that Democrats and their favorite networks use for Trump and his voters. On the network Sunday shows, the spinning from the left was mind-boggling. On ABCs "This Week," Martha Raddatz put the attention on Trump, not the shooter. She questioned Utahs Republican Gov. Spencer Cox, noting Trump "blamed the radical left. What's your reaction to that? Is that something you think he should be doing?" Clearly, Raddatz suggested that was rude. She threw the same question at Republican Sen. John Curtis of Utah. When she turned to Colorados Democrat Gov. Jared Polis and asked him to denounce Trump. "He has pointed the finger at what he calls the radical left. Is that the message you believe he should be putting out?"ABC REPORTER APOLOGIZES FOR GUSHY REMARKS ABOUT KIRK SHOOTER'S TOUCHING MESSAGES TO TRANS ROMANTIC PARTNEROn CBSs "Face the Nation," reporter Scott MacFarlane completely misrepresented statements by Cox, who during his Sunday show appearances was cautiously trying not to get ahead of the official investigation, with the indictment coming Tuesday. MacFarlane aggressively played down a "trans rights" motive for the murder: "The roommate may have been in a romantic relationship with Tyler Robinson, may have been gender-transitioning. But the governor says theres no indication or no idea yet if thats at all relevant to this case."On Mondays "CBS Evening News Plus," anchor John Dickerson was aggressively playing dumb: "Five days after Charlie Kirk's murder, the shooter's motive remains elusive. No writings left behind. Vague, secondhand testimony." Why would they dismiss all the evidence as "vague"? Because they didnt like evidence. The facts were not what they wanted.Less than 24 hours later, Dickerson had to report on the official findings: "we also heard about the possible motivation as Robinsons parents explained that he had become more radical, more left-leaning." Were Robinsons parents "secondhand" sources? On Monday, ABCs "The View" crew demanded that people stop trying to blame the left for this latest act of political violence. Sara Haines claimed: "If you don't get off the ride and stop doing the pointing when it comes to politics, because I don't think our political division right now is what is driving a lot of these violent acts." "And when we swear it is just one side, we're not being part of the solution," added former Trump aide Alyssa Farah Griffin.JIMMY KIMMEL SUGGESTS CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN WAS ONE OF THE 'MAGA GANG' DESPITE REPORTS OF LEFTIST LEANINGSBut by Tuesday, ABC chief national correspondent Matt Gutman used live coverage to express his tender sympathies for Robinsons trans romance, gushing the text messages released by authorities were "lovingly" stated, "very intimate," and "very touching." Gutman didn't explain how Charlie Kirk was threatening this boyfriend's life by having an opinion on "transgender rights."It shouldn't be difficult for "news" reporters to discuss a brutal assassination without breaking out in admiration for the assassin. Thats disgusting. On Monday night, ABC "comedian" Jimmy Kimmel clung to bizarre internet conspiracy theorizing that Robinson was somehow a Trump fan, failing to explain why a Trump fan would murder Kirk. Kimmel huffed, "We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it." He also alleged that President Trump is mourning Kirks death like "a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish. "CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONTwo large groupings of ABC affiliates vowed to stop broadcasting Kimmel shows, so "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" was suspended. That led to a wave of supportive network coverage, none of it more absurd than former Clinton spinner George Stephanopoulos going on "Good Morning America" to mourn Republican pressure on the "independent media." RAINN WILSON RECOUNTS LIBERAL FRIENDS HAVING A KIND OF A GOOD RIDDANCE' RESPONSE TO CHARLIE KIRK'S KILLINGABCs Elizabeth Schulze was putting out Kimmel-level misinformation, claiming "President Trump now calling [FCC Chairman Brendan] Carrs decision to cancel Kimmel Great News for America." It was an ABC decision, not an FCC decision.NBCs "Today" turned to former CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy to denounce conservative hypocrisy for cheering on "cancel culture" for Kimmel. The blatant hypocrisy belongs to Darcy, who is on the record repeatedly calling for cable and satellite providers to cancel entire conservative networks.Even after the Kirk assassination, the broadcast networks quickly turned back to their normal framing, where the only side that should be "held accountable" is the Republican side. They are the only ones who are ruining democracy. They are the only ones whose rhetoric is questionable. The broadcast networks are anti-Trump no matter what develops. Dont forget this: the networks were overwhelmingly negative in the days after Trump was shot last year. Theyre only a "reliable source" if you rely on them to be relentlessly partisan.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM TIM GRAHAM0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 39 Views 0 Anteprima
