WWW.FOXNEWS.COMCharlie Kirk invigorated next generation of conservatives like my own family top senator saysJoni Ernst, chair of the Senate DOGE Committee, may lead one of the more hip caucuses in Congress which has attracted young conservatives to policy debates but no one has done that better than Charlie Kirk, she told Fox News Digital in an interview Thursday.Ernsts daughter, a West Point graduate, first broke the news of Kirks death to her during a Senate committee hearing."I was actually sitting in a Small Business Committee meeting and my daughter texted me that Charlie had been shot," Ernst recalled. "I was trying to pay attention to the hearing while getting updates from her on what was happening."Her daughter, who had seen videos circulating online, told her, "Theres no way that Charlie is alive." Ernst responded, "Pray, honey, because miracles happen. Unfortunately, this wasnt what we prayed for."The senator said Kirks message resonated deeply with her family."They have followed Charlie Kirk and his message, and they're always so excited that he is biblically founded, he believes in God's word, and he has really drawn in a lot of young conservatives people who felt they didn't have a voice, especially after the four years under President Biden with all of his woke agenda," she said.Ernst, R-Iowa, said that her daughter and son-in-law admired Kirks willingness to debate opponents directly. "It made them more comfortable discussing difficult topics with friends and coworkers," she said.'WE WON'T COWER': YOUNG CONSERVATIVES BUILD ON KIRK LEGACY WITH NATIONWIDE SPEAKING TOUR"[Kirk was] really grounded and centered in speaking truth. So they appreciated that. They followed him on Instagram and different platforms."Ernst said she and her family were also drawn to Kirk by his lack of apprehension to civilly debate anyone and led them to be comfortable discussing similar topics with friends and coworkers."Unfortunately, the tragedy is as we thought it would be, because she saw it unfold with all the postings that were out there."The reassurance that I have to her and her husband are that his voice will continue to be out there and folks like her, they'll amplify it, too. So his mission will live on."Ernsts DOGE work, simultaneously popularized by Elon Musk, helped bring young people into the conservative fold.CELEBRATORY, DISMISSIVE REACTIONS TO CHARLIE KIRKS DEATH PUTTING EDUCATORS UNDER SCRUTINYThe lawmaker noted she had been working on DOGE-type work before the term even came into being. After her first election to the Senate, Ernst put out a statement pledging to make Washington "squeal" in terms of slashing so-called pork-barrel spending."Prior to that, I was a county auditor and then in the state Senate. I've always been engaged in oversight of budgets, but coming into the senate, I have my Squeal work. It really didn't take off until we had [Musk] and President Trump really promoting DOGE. And Charlie Kirk was the same," she said.Prior to Kirk, the late radio host Rush Limbaugh inspired a generation of so-called "Rush Babies" in the 1980s and 1990s young conservatives who regularly tuned into his AM talk show and credited him with shaping their early political views."[Rush Babies] simply illustrate how minds are shaped, opinions are validated, and sometimes how long it can take," Limbaugh said in 2006, expressing sentiments that echoed what has been said of Kirk:"I have always felt confident that whats being built here is going to last a long, long time. You might lose an election here and there, obviously, but these kinds of roots, theyre deep, and theyre going to get even deeper."While comparisons have been drawn between Limbaughs political magnetism and that of newer faces like Kirk, Ernst said the latter connected even more with young conservatives than the late commentator did."I love Rush, and no offense to Rush, but I think Charlie was even more so," she said."He was really capturing that next generation and going to where they were -- not just being on the radio or broadcast -- but actually going out and meeting face-to-face with people that maybe saw very differently than he did, and being willing to take those slings and arrows and most literally on that final day.""I think it's hard for young people to communicate face-to-face, as we saw in many of his debates," she added, citing how some critics had a difficult time debating him because they were often busy on their phones or were not used to connecting person-to-person."I would say he's even more so than Rush. And it's just so unfortunate and tragic that his life was cut so short."0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 19 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMKeith Olbermann says Stephen A. Smith is 'prostituting himself to right wing' after Jimmy Kimmel criticismFormer ESPN and MSNBC host Keith Olbermann extended his torrent of controversial social media attacks this week, this time taking aim at current ESPN star Stephen A. Smith.Smith weighed in on ABC's decision to indefinitely pull Jimmy Kimmel off the air for recent remarks about Charlie Kirk's assassination, during an episode of his podcast on Thursday. Smith criticized his Walt Disney Corporation colleague Kimmel."Where was the joke? Because you're a late-night host and obviously that has a comedic attachment to it. Where was the joke? Obviously, it wasn't anything funny about that," Smith said of Kimmel's joke that got him pulled off the air.Olbermann condemned Smith for criticizing Kimmel, suggesting the sports pundit is "prostituting himself to the right wing."CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"Just adding to what has been true for years: [Stephen A. Smith] is a f---ing idiot. And now he smells money prostituting himself to, and collaborating with, the right wing," Olbermann wrote in a post on X.Olbermann has been under scrutiny in recent days for a controversial X post targeting Kirk and Sinclair Broadcast Group criticizing Kimmel.Olbermann responded to Sinclairs statement, which said that Kimmels suspension from his ABC late-night show was "not enough."Sinclair called for ABC to air a remembrance for Kirk in lieu of Kimmels show after the conservative influencer was shot and killed last week."Burn in hell, Sinclair," Olbermann wrote on X. "Alongside Charlie Kirk."Social media users slammed Olbermanns post. The former MSNBC talking head continued to share thoughts about the Kimmel situation. He referenced the remarks that led to Kimmels discipline, posting that "Nothing Jimmy Kimmel said was untrue."LIBERALS RAGE AS ABC PULLS JIMMY KIMMEL OFF AIR FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN COMMENTSOn Monday, Kimmel accused conservatives of reaching "new lows" in trying to pin a left-wing ideology on 22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson, even though prosecutors reaffirmed those ties in Tuesdays indictment."We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said.Smith, while criticizing Kimmel's attempted joke, expressed sympathy for the "comedian" but still insisted Kimmel's antagonism toward President Donald Trump is not "wise.""To hear the news of Jimmy Kimmel being taken off the air, I was not happy about it. Not at all," Smith said. "Because I do think hes a good man. I do think his heart is in the right place. I do think hes done an incredible service to the ABC and Walt Disney family spanning decades."I certainly hope that ultimately he ends up back on the air, and if he doesnt end up back on the air, I hope he lives a very long and well and prosperous life."Having said all of that, that doesnt mean Im not entitled to say that what transpired between him and [President Donald Trump] didnt appear to be the wisest move in the world."Kimmels comments came one day after both FBI officials and Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said that Robinsonheld a "leftist ideology"and was increasingly radicalized in recent years. It was also revealed that he had a romantic relationship with a transgender partner who was biologically male and transitioning to female.Kirk, 31, was shot and killed last week while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMByron Donalds rebukes 'Squad' member over 'fascist' slur: Do I look like a member of the Third Reich?Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., began shouting at Florida GOP Rep. Byron Donalds during a Thursday hearing, after he chastised the "Squad" lawmaker for referring to GOP efforts to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C., as fascist.Tlaib's clash with Donalds came after she slammed Republicans for their "rhetoric" targeting the District of Columbia, where President Donald Trump has deployed the National Guard to help local law enforcement address crime in the capitol city."We can't be passive right now," Tlaib said during the House Oversight hearing. "So don't nobody over there should take anything we say serious you know, like, so personally as if we're attacking them. No, we're attacking a process. We're not attacking people here. And I think it's really important we need to stand up against this fascist takeover that's not a bad word, it's a fact."TRUMP'S DC CRIME CRACKDOWN OVERWHELMINGLY BENEFITS BLACK AMERICANS AS HOMICIDES HIT ZERO"Here in DC and across the country it is so incredibly important, Mr. Chair, that this committee does not allow rhetoric that defames, or paints Washington, D.C., in a way that you all really haven't truly seen. You're just reading it, or something off of some ," Tlaib continued before Donalds stepped in, asking Tlaib if he could pose a question.Even though Tlaib did not pause to let Donalds speak, he eventually interjected anyways."I think it's insane that the gentlelady doesn't have an argument, but she is going to refer to me and some of my colleagues like we're from the Third Reich. This is insane. It's insane," Donalds said.TRUMP'S SECURITY UNDER SCRUTINY AS SECRET SERVICE BRACES FOR KIRK MEMORIALThe pair began raising their voices and eventually got into a shouting match, with Donalds asking Tlaib, "Do I look like a member of the Third Reich to you, Ms. Tlaib? Is that what I look like to you? Is that what you think?"Donalds called Tlaib's "fascist" label "out of line," in a gaggle with reporters after the event. The GOP lawmaker from Florida is currently attempting to usher two bills through Congress to help tamp down on crime, including one that he said would lower the age for juvenile sentencing from 25 to 18-years-old."I think it was important to set the record straight," Donalds told reporters. "Congresswoman Tlaib tried to call me and my colleagues fascists. Obviously, in light of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, that's even more of a sore subject now than it ever has been, and I just find it to be reprehensible. I don't look like somebody who is in the Third Reich. None of my colleagues do. And I think if people want to start talking about people being responsible with their rhetoric, it should start with Congresswoman Tlaib."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPIn 2023, enough Democrats in Congress joined Republicans to formally censure Tlaib over her rhetoric about the Israel-Hamas war that erupted on Oct. 7. 2023. Tlaib defended her rhetoric and positions, saying she "will not be silenced and I will not let you distort my words," according to the Associated Press.Tlaib has also faced additional censure threats this month over recent comments she made at a pro-Palestinian conference in August.Fox News Digital reached out to Tlaib's office for comment but did not immediately hear back.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 22 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMHolding ABC's Jimmy Kimmel accountable isn't 'cancel culture' it's basic fairnessABC has suspended late-night host Jimmy Kimmel "indefinitely" after he spread falsehoods about Charlie Kirks murder. Unlike others who have apologized for reckless commentary, Kimmel has offered no public correction. He has doubled down. He either lied or was badly misinformed. Either way, his refusal to take responsibility for his comments is unacceptable. The media landscape erupted after Kirks tragic death. Professors, pundits and well-known TV personalities jumped online to cheer it or excuse it. MSNBCs Matthew Dowd claimed Charlies words courted the violence. For that, he lost his job. Several professors were fired. Office Depot terminated an employee who refused service to Kirk mourners. Some on the left are trying to spin these dismissals as conservatives embracing "cancel culture."That argument collapses under the weight of basic facts.Cancel culture has always been about silencing dissent and enforcing conformity to the liberal agenda. Christians who refused to march in lockstep with new orthodoxies were stripped of jobs, deplatformed, denied banking services and hounded from public life. Conservatives never demanded that liberals change their private beliefs only that liberals stop weaponizing those beliefs to punish dissenters.DISNEY SAYS JIMMY KIMMEL'S SHOW 'WILL BE PREEMPTED INDEFINITELY' FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN COMMENTSWhats happening now looks different. Private companies are distancing themselves from employees who smeared a man murdered in cold blood. Businesses dont exist to serve radical ideology. They exist to serve customers. When an employee brings shame on the company by cheering violence, a corporation has every right to say: not on our watch.Kimmels case is especially egregious. He used ABCs platform to tell millions of viewers that Charlie Kirk was shot by a supporter, a claim completely untrue. Kimmel should have known what had been widely reported over the weekend: The killer is a left-wing radical.Kimmel could have corrected the record as soon as the indictment came out Tuesday, but he didnt. He could have walked into the studio, looked into the camera and said plainly that he was wrong. He didnt. He could have honored the grieving family by admitting he maligned their husband and father. Again, he didnt.LIBERALS RAGE AS ABC PULLS JIMMY KIMMEL OFF AIR FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN COMMENTSAmericans can accept mistakes. But when you say something outrageous on national television, accountability requires saying the correction where you said the offense into the same camera, to the same audience. Kimmel instead hid behind silence. That pattern is familiar. Left-wing media figures mock conservatives, smear Christians and vilify Republicans as "threats to democracy." When caught, they retreat to a social media apology or ignore it altogether. But they expect America to move on, leaving the stain uncorrected in the public mind. Conservatives are right to reject that double standard. The First Amendment protects free speech, even vile speech. No one is arguing otherwise. The Constitution protects Kimmels right to be wrong, just as it protected racists in the 1960s and radicals in Antifa marches. But free speech does not guarantee a primetime television contract.JIMMY KIMMEL'S LATE-NIGHT EVOLUTION FROM APOLITICAL FUNNYMAN TO DEM ACTIVISTThe FCC also looms in this debate. Broadcast licenses are granted free of charge on the condition that they serve the public interest. If networks consistently use the public airwaves to smear half the country, they are failing their mandate. Nothing about that principle is new or partisan. The public interest means the whole public, not just the left-wing slice Kimmel caters to.Charlie Kirk lived to a higher standard. He invited detractors to debate him in open forums, on college campuses, even in hostile territory. He didnt fear ideas. He welcomed them, convinced that truth prevails in the sunlight of open discussion. That contrast with Kimmel is striking. One man fought to broaden speech; the other used his perch to lie.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThe left doesnt know what to do with this shift. For decades, it controlled the microphone. Now, conservatives are calling out their hate in real time, and employers are responding. Suddenly, the self-styled champions of accountability cry "cancel culture" when the mirror turns back on them.Charlies death is not fodder for ideological games. He was a husband, a father and a leader who reshaped the political landscape by inspiring millions of young Americans. He deserves honesty in the coverage of his life and dignity in the wake of his murder. Jimmy Kimmel denied him both.America deserves better from its media. We should not accept lies without correction. We should not accept hosts who mock the dead and then slink away without apology. And we should not confuse accountability with censorship. Kimmel either lied or was woefully ignorant. In either case, his silence speaks louder than any joke he ever told.Charlie Kirk built his life on truth, faith and courage. Conservatives honor his legacy not by canceling opponents but by demanding integrity from those who presume to inform the public.Free speech remains secure. What hangs in the balance is honesty and thats where Kimmel failed.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAVID BOZELL0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 22 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMCalifornia mom appeals to Supreme Court in religious-based vaccine dispute after son is banned from schoolA California mom says the state is forcing her to choose between her Christian faith and her sons education, and shes asking the U.S. Supreme Court to step in.The emergency application, filed Sept. 11 and formally docketed Friday, was submitted to Justice Elena Kagan, who handles emergency matters from the 9th Circuit.Kagan could decide on her own or refer the case to the full court, a move that could make the mothers fight a national test case over faith and vaccines in a majority conservative bench. The filing, brought by We the Patriots USA, Inc. and "Jane Doe," contends that Californias health code unconstitutionally bars her son from attending school unless he receives vaccines she considers religiously objectionable.RELIGIOUS LIBERTY IS AMERICA'S CORE RIGHT. WE MUST DEFEND IT FOR KIDS AND PARENTSDoe argues the vaccines are linked to abortion through aborted fetal tissue used in development and testing and that her faith compels her to keep her and her sons bodies pure as "the temple of the Holy Spirit."According to the application, her son had attended public school under a personal beliefs exemption until California had phased those out. When she pursued alternative immunization methods, Ventura Unified School District initially accepted them, only to later reject them and bar her son from classes in January. In May, prosecutors issued Doe a criminal citation for truancy, though the case was later dropped. Once an honor roll student, her son is now failing academically, according to the filing, and struggles socially after being kept out of school for months.FEDERAL JUDGE STRIKES DOWN MINNESOTA LAW BARRING RELIGIOUS COLLEGES FROM STATE PROGRAMDoes attorneys argue the law violates the First Amendments free exercise clause, pointing to recent precedent that recognizes parents rights to direct their childrens religious upbringing. They contend California permits medical exemptions that pose the same public health risks as religious exemptions would, making the law discriminatory against people of faith."The First Amendment does not permit California to exile children from public school because their parents seek to raise them in accordance with their religious beliefs," the filing states. The brief warns that, without relief, the unnamed teen risks missing his education entirely or being forced to choose between "obeying God and sacrificing their childrens futures, or caving to the state and sacrificing their souls and their childrens sanctity."Justice Kagan may call for a response from California officials or refer the application to the full court for consideration. The mother is asking the justices to issue an injunction allowing her son to return to school while the broader case plays out in the lower courts. Her lawyers also warn that unless the court steps in, families like hers may be forced to "literally flee California" to practice their faith, something the brief says the First Amendment was designed to prevent.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPThe case comes amid ongoing national debates over vaccine mandates, religious liberty and parental rights under the Trump administration. The filing follows the Supreme Courts recent decision in Mahmoud v. Taylor, which strengthened protections for parents directing their childrens religious upbringing.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 39 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

The note began: "Dear World, .. This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, but I am so sorry I failed you... its up to you now to complete the job." The letter also mentioned a $150,000 reward. McGreevy testified that bank transfers showed Routh had the money to pay that sum.PROSECUTORS TO REST CASE IN TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT TRIAL, DEFENSE PREPS WITNESSESJurors were shown evidence of accounts shared by Routh, his daughter Sara, and his son Adam, including a March 15, 2024 deposit of $162,000 into Saras account followed the same day by a $160,000 transfer to another account in her name. McGreevy also displayed alleged Venmo transactions moving money from Saras accounts to Ryan Routh.Prosecutors introduced phone records showing web searches about Trumps campaign schedule, rally tickets, golf courses, and personal whereabouts. McGreevy said the phones also showed searches for "how many bullets does an SKS rifle hold?" on Sept. 4, 2024, and hundreds of firearm images. One text exchange presented to jurors was between Routh and a contact named Vladmir. After an aerial image was sent, the exchange read:Vladimir: "Palm Beach, yours?"Routh: "Trumps plane. He gets on and off every day."EXPLOSIVES EXPERT DETAILS DEVICES AS TRUMP ASSASSINATION TRIAL NEARS CLOSEMcGreevy testified that Rouths "home base" between Aug. 14 and Sept. 15, 2024 was the Marathon truck stop in South Bay, Florida. Receipts showed he paid cash for overnight parking there, according to McGreevy.Body cam footage from a welfare check at the truck stop showed Routh wearing madras-print shorts, later found in his Xterra and seen in airport surveillance when Routh watched Trumps plane lift off on Sept. 7.Jurors were also shown license plate reader data placing Rouths black Nissan Xterra in the Palm Beach area on multiple occasions, including March 29, March 30, March 31, and April 3, 2024. McGreevy said one plate was registered to Sara Routh, another to a different car, and one was unassigned.FBI PHONE EXTRACTIONS, DNA TESTIMONY HEADLINE DAY 7 OF RYAN ROUTH TRIALProsecutors also presented a photo taken on one of Rouths burner phones that showed a map of the 14th hole at Trumps golf course with multiple pins dropped and Routh visible in the reflection. They compared it with another photo showing the SKS rifle propped in a tree at the same hole. Nearby, investigators found a 56-ounce Sunny Delight bottle that matched a receipt recovered from Routh's vehicle.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPInside the courtroom, Routh entered smiling and wore a blue suit coat, white shirt and red striped tie, according to Fox News reporters inside the courtroom. His daughter, Sara, was the only family member present, taking notes. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMFloyd Mayweather files lawsuit against Las Vegas car dealer over alleged fraud in multimillion-dollar dealUndefeated, retired professional boxer Floyd Mayweather is taking legal action against a Las Vegas supercar dealer. When Mayweather decided to step away from the boxing ring, he left with a 50-0 record and was credited with fighting in some of the most-watched and highest-grossing bouts in history. Mayweather reportedly grossed more than $1 billion during his storied career. He was given the moniker "Money" Mayweather because of his lavish spending at nightclubs, on high-end vehicles and much more. But Mayweather took issue with the details of a transaction involving a luxury vehicle.Earlier this year, Mayweather made a now-deleted social media post documenting his spending spree at the Las Vegas car dealership in question.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe post, since removed, appeared to show at least four vehicles the boxing champion purchased in July.FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR 'FIRES' REF IN MIDDLE OF EXHIBITION FIGHT VS JOHN GOTTI IIIThe purchase resurfaced Thursday when Mayweather shared a screenshot to his Instagram account showing a TMZ article that reported he had decided to take legal action against the Las Vegas dealership."This guy @nick.dossa @vegasautogallery does bad business. Be careful," Mayweather captioned the post.Mayweather told TMZ that he believed the dealership engaged in "deceptive trade practices" and suggested the organization was dishonest about at least one of the cars he bought."I think he took [three] cars back, but his one car he didn't want to take back, which was the [2018] Maybach Landaulet. He didn't want to take that back. So I had my team and my business partners do their homework on the car. Come to find out the car was in lawsuits and some parts were changed on the car," Mayweather said."He charged me $1.2 million. He told me he paid $1.1. I was okay with that. But then I did my homework. I did my research, come to find out he only paid, if I'm not mistaken, $728,000 for the car. So he beat me out of over half a million dollars."Mayweather's attorney raised more accusations, telling TMZ the car "lacked the required title, odometer, certification, DOT/EPA compliance, customs clearance, and inspection certificates, all of which are material to the legality of the sale."Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 20 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр
