Here's the pathway for President Trump to receive his much-deserved Nobel Peace Prize
There is no question that President Donald Trump is deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize.Nations, statesmen and elected officials around the globe have seen the fruits of his labor to bring peace to different hemispheres. The big question is, "Is there a real pathway for President Trump to actually receive the Nobel Peace Prize?"I believe there is. But its a pathway that must be flawlessly executed. And in doing so, its important to understand the history of the Nobel Peace Prize and the actual process for awarding it. We can also gain insight from how a former Trump appointee led an international organization to receive it. And we can learn from how a former Republican president worked to end a war and received the Nobel Peace Prize despite protests from Norwegian and Swedish politicians and media. The Nobel Prizes were established by the will of the famed Swedish industrialist and inventor, Alfred Nobel. Nobel was the inventor of dynamite and, at the time of his death in 1896, was the owner of Bofors, the Swedish armaments manufacturer.HOW DONALD TRUMP CAN MAKE HISTORY AND WIN 3 NOBEL PEACE PRIZESI personally became intrigued with the Nobel Prizes while doing consulting work for Bofors in the late 1990s and visiting Karlskoga, Sweden, a number of times.Nobels will provided for prizes in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace. A Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences was added in 1968. The original prizes have been awarded since 1901.In his will, Nobel provided that the prizes were to be awarded by different Swedish entities, with the exception of the Nobel Peace Prize, which was to be awarded "by a committee of five persons to be elected by the Norwegian Storting [Parliament]."Today, the Norwegian Nobel Committee is responsible for selecting Nobel Peace Prize laureates. Appointed by the Norwegian Parliament, it should surprise no one that historically its members have been former members of Parliament and cabinet ministers.Only "qualified nominators" can submit a name for the Nobel Peace Prize. These include members of national assemblies, national governments, current heads of state, previous recipients, certain university professors and directors of peace research institutions.HOW TRUMP CAN SAVE LEBANON FROM IRAN'S INFLUENCEThis explains why President Trump has been nominated by numerous members of Congress, several nations, heads of state and university professors. Nominations are due on Jan. 31 each year, followed by a multi-stage selection process. The winner is announced in early October, with the award ceremony taking place on Dec. 10 every year at Oslo City Hall.Make no mistake, this is a very political process. I served for a number of years on the board of the Norwegian-American Foundation. I remember when the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to President Barack Obama for "the promise" of his vision. My Norwegian friends were flabbergasted. The running joke in Norway was that he received it because a couple of left-wingers on the Committee wanted a chance to meet him and have a photo-op. In Trumps case, you actually have a president who has resolved conflicts and helped to bring peace to different regions of the world. In addition to the formal nominations, I believe there are key actions supporters of President Trump can undertake to maximize his chances. Consider these:TRUMP LEARNS A LESSON GROUNDED IN FAITH, HOW BEST TO STAND TOUGH ON TRADE WITH CHINAJens Stoltenberg, the former NATO secretary-general, is back in the current Labour government's cabinet serving as finance minister. Following Trump's victory last November, Stoltenberg said that during Trump's first term, they had "established a good and reliable working relationship." He further noted that they "got things done," and that "NATO had become stronger." A former Labour prime minister, he could be helpful with one or two members of the committee. In fact, committee member Gry Larsen is a member of the Labour Party and served as state secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when Stoltenberg was prime minister. The Oslo Center, founded by former Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, is considered much less political than the Norwegian Nobel Institute. It has a history of actually being in the field promoting peace and strengthening democratic political institutions and processes. I met with him as he was laying the foundation for the center and heard his vision. An ordained Lutheran minister, he's the former head of the Christian Democratic Party. Current committee member Anne Enger served as Bondeviks deputy during his first term as prime minister. And committee member Kristin Clemet served as Bondeviks minister of education during his second term. The U.S. Embassy: Either through the ambassador when he's confirmed, or through the current charge daffaires, the embassy needs to take a proactive role in making the case for President Trump to the Norwegian media and institutions.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONTrump appointee who received Nobel Peace Prize: Former South Carolina Gov. David Beasley received the prize as the Trump-appointed executive director of the World Food Program (WFP) in 2020. The WFP had been nominated numerous times over 40 years, but it was under a Trump appointees leadership that it finally happened. Insights on how Beasley and the WFP interacted with Norwegian authorities can be helpful.President Teddy Roosevelt: The Republican president received the Nobel Peace Prize despite protests from liberal Norwegian politicians and Swedish media. His efforts to end the Russo-Japanese War were too meritorious and couldn't be ignored. Likewise, President Trump supporters can make a similar case with the conflicts that he has helped to end. The embassy can play a big role in articulating this.On the merits, President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. But this is a political process, and his supporters need to work the process.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM VAN HIPPA Norwegian friend reminded me that the prize is supposed to consider achievements over a period of time. He pointed to President Trump's brokering the Abraham Accords during his first term as laying a foundation for real peace in the Middle East. He's right. President Trump's achievements during his first term, combined with what he's done so far in his second term, have earned him the Nobel Peace Prize.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM VAN HIPP

Common daily vitamin shown to slow aging process over four-year period
Previous research has linked a common vitamin to a slowdown in aging and now a new Harvard study appears to confirm those findings. The study, which was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that taking a daily vitamin D pill prevented telomeres from shortening, a hallmark of aging.Telomeres, which are often compared to the plastic tips on the ends of shoelaces, act as "protective ends" on chromosome strands, according to a Harvard press release.COMMON DAILY VITAMIN COULD SLOW BIOLOGICAL AGING, MAJOR STUDY SUGGESTSAs people age, telomeres get shorter, which can increase the likelihood of poor health and mortality, prior studies have shown.Research has also suggested that higher levels of vitamin D in the blood is linked to longer telomeres. In this latest randomized trial, approximately 1,000 people aged 50 and older were divided into two groups one group took 2,000 international units (IU) of vitamin D pills each day, and the other group took placebo pills. After a four-year period, the people taking vitamin D showed less than half of the telomere shortening than the placebo group. The vitamin D group also had fewer autoimmune diseases and reduced inflammation markers.COMMON VITAMIN SHOWN TO REDUCE AUTOIMMUNE DISEASELead study author JoAnn Manson, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, said the findings "suggest a promising role for vitamin D in slowing a pathway for biological aging and age-related chronic disease."While the researchers were surprised that vitamin D was linked to such substantial protection against telomere shortening, Manson told Fox News Digital, the findings are consistent with previous evidence."Vitamin D tamps down inflammation, a major cause of telomere shortening and chronic diseases of aging," she said. The question of what constitutes an "adequate" blood level of vitamin D is a "controversial topic," according to Manson. In the study, the team found that 2000 IU per day was "very safe," without side effects or adverse events.TO STAY HEALTHY, EAT MORE FOODS WITH VITAMIN D, NUTRITION EXPERT ADVISES"Blood levels for deficiency and recommended blood levels vary across organizations, labs and countries, which is one of the reasons for doubt about the tests usefulness," Manson said. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and most professional societies in the U.S. do not recommend universal screening for vitamin D blood levels or routine use of vitamin D supplements, the researcher pointed out."The National Academy of Medicine recommends 600 IU of vitamin D per day for adults up to age 70 and 800 IU above age 70, stating that these intakes will meet the requirements of the large majority of adults in the population," she said."However, recent guidelines from the Endocrine Society suggest that vitamin D supplements may be helpful for adults aged 75 and older, infants and children, pregnant women, and those with a diagnosis of prediabetes, but they dont specify a specific dose."For anyone who has concerns about getting adequate vitamin D from their diet and/or time outdoors, Manson said that supplementation with 1000 to 2000 IU/day of vitamin D would be "very reasonable.""In the U.S., foods such as dairy products, cereal and orange juice are often fortified with vitamin D, so checking nutrition labels can help you make better decisions about which foods to purchase," she advised."Fatty fish, such as salmon, sardines and tuna, and wild mushrooms are other sources."Groups at high risk for vitamin D deficiency include those living in nursing homes, people with malabsorption conditions like Crohns or celiac disease, those being treated for osteoporosis or other bone health problems, and those with major dietary restrictions, such as severe lactose intolerance, according to Manson."[People in these groups] should talk with their doctors about being tested for vitamin D blood levels and taking a vitamin D supplement," she recommended. The doctor noted that people need only small to moderate amounts of vitamin D for good health, as the vitamins metabolism is "tightly regulated" in the body."More is not necessarily better, and very high doses such as more than 10,000 IU/d may be associated with high blood or urine calcium levels and toxicity," she cautioned.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTERManson emphasized that taking a supplement is not a substitute for a nutritious diet and healthy lifestyle."Although its much easier to pop a pill than to be physically active outdoors and eat healthfully, these lifestyle factors will do more to keep you healthy and lower your risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes and other chronic diseases of aging," she said.Going out for a 15-minute walk a few times a week at midday will typically provide enough sunlight exposure for the skin to synthesize vitamin D, Manson added."Even more important for your health would be to exercise outdoors, such as brisk walking, jogging or playing sports.""Although the results are exciting, we believe that replication of these results in a separate randomized trial will be important before changing general guidelines for vitamin D intake," said Manson. For more Health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/healthThe study was supported in part by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the National Cancer Institute and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health.

Abrego Garcia's lawyers ask judge for gag order against Trump officials
Kilmar Abrego Garcia's lawyers asked a federal judge in Tennessee on Thursday to prohibit top Trump officials from making remarks about their client that could bias the jury against him.The attorneys said that administration officials have repeatedly accused Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national facing human smuggling charges, of being a criminal gang member and made other negative claims about him that pose a "substantial likelihood of materially prejudicing this proceeding."The attorneys pointed to numerous recent instances, including Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem calling Abrego Garcia an "MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator.""She also called Mr. Abrego a monster," the attorneys wrote. This is the second time Abrego Garcia's attorneys have asked the judge to rein in statements from the administration. The judge previously responded by reminding the government to follow all typical rules and procedures of prosecutions, which include avoiding making prejudicial statements outside of court. This is a developing story. Israel accuses UN-backed Gaza famine report of political manipulation, demands withdrawal
Israel rejected aUnited Nations-backed report that declared famine in Gaza, claiming it contained "gross forgeries." A foreign ministry official warned Jerusalem would lobby donor countries to cut funding unless the report is withdrawn. In an Aug. 22 report, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) said famine is already taking place in the Gaza Governorate and is likely to spread to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis by the end of September. The report said about one-third of Gazas roughly 2 million residents about 641,000 people could soon face catastrophic starvation.According to the IPC, 132,000 children under age 5 are projected to suffer acute malnutrition through 2026, including more than 41,000 severe cases. It said over 55,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women alsorequire urgent nutrition support.ISRAEL PUSHES BACK AT TAILOR-MADE UN-BACKED REPORT CLAIMING GAZA FAMINEThe report blamed almost two years of war, the displacement of 1.9 million people, the collapse of local food production, and severe restrictions on aid. It noted that even when food enters Gaza, much of it fails to reach civilians.Israel flatly rejected the findings, with the Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar Tal telling reporters the IPC had committed "gross forgeries" and manipulated its own evidence to declare famine.Bar Tal said the IPC fabricated 182 deaths to reach the famine threshold of 188. He accused the group of breaking its own rules by using a malnutrition measure barred in Gaza, relying on clinic-based samples that are prohibited, and cherry-picking surveys. He claimed that of 15,749 children surveyed, the IPC used only 7,519, enough to push results above famine levels."The IPC report is forged for political purposes. No doubt the IPC manipulated and ignored data, broke its own rules and hid contradictory evidence," Bar Tal said, saying the report was fabricated for the purpose of "supporting Hamass starvation campaign."ISRAEL SAYS UN MISLEADS WORLD AS GAZA AID STOLEN AND DIVERTED FROM CIVILIANSThe Foreign Ministry issued a formal letter demanding the reports withdrawal and warned that if it is not retracted, Israel will urge donor states to freeze funding to the IPC "until professional credibility is restored." It also distributed a PowerPoint presentation titled"The IPC Fraud," which described the process as "shooting the arrow and then drawing the target." One slide read:"The facts are clear: The IPC report is forged."The IPC did not respond to Fox News Digital requests for comment. At a Security Council meeting on Wednesday, Dorothy Shea, the acting U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said that hunger was a real issue and a priority for the U.S., but also took issue with the IPC report."We can only solve problems with credibility and integrity. Unfortunately, the recent report from the IPC doesn't pass the test either. One of the report's key authors has a lengthy record of bias against Israel, including openly justifying the Houthi terrorist attacks on Israeli civilian targets. By his own measure, he ought to have recused himself. This helps explain why the normal standards were changed for this declaration, raising significant questions," she said.In response to Fox News Digitals questions, Stphane Dujarric, the spokesman for the U.N. Secretary General, defended the IPC process and rejected Israels claims: "The data that the IPC put out on famine in Gaza is robust. It is scientific and it is technical," Dujarric said. "IPC famine analysis uses a standard measurement reviewed carefully by an independent group of experts who confirmed that a famine is taking place in Gaza Governorate."He said the IPC relied on "recent and verified" U.N. agency data streams including WHO, UNICEF, UNRWA, and WFP, while also considering figures from Israels Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).On whether Hamass exploitation of aid factored in, Dujarric said the report "illustrates the constraints that hinder humanitarian organizations from distributing aid and stand in the way of allowing people to get the aid they need."On Thursday, Secretary-General Antnio Guterres claimed that "Famine is no longer a looming possibility it is a present-day catastrophe. People are dying from hunger, families are being torn apart by displacement and despair," Guterres told reporters before briefing the Security Council.

Carville rebukes DNC over woke land acknowledgment lamenting treatment of Native Americans
Veteran strategist James Carville blasted the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Thursday for opening its Minneapolis meeting with a "land acknowledgment" that he said accused the United States of systemic suppression calling it the kind of gesture that costs Democrats elections.Lindy Sowmick, treasurer of Minnesotas Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and a self-described "Indigenous queer woman," opened the acknowledgment by honoring the Dakota Oyate as the original stewards of Minneapolis land for thousands of years before colonization. She pointed to a legacy of broken treaties and promises, adding, "In many ways, we still live in a system built to suppress Indigenous peoples' cultural and spiritual history."Carville spoke about the display on his "Politics War Room" podcast with co-host Al Hunt, lamenting that the Democratic Party did not seem to have learned from recent defeats.DNC CHAIR DEMANDS DEMS STOP 'BRINGING A PENCIL TO A KNIFE FIGHT' AT FIERY SUMMER MEETINGCarville has long criticized Democrats embrace of wokeness and said it contributed to their 2024 election loss."Lady, youre right, what we did to the Native Americans has really been well documented. It is a sad part of our nations history," he said, before suddenly shouting, "Why are you bringing this up in an election!?"JAMES CARVILLE SUGGESTS 'SPLIT' WITH THE LEFT OVER 'PRONOUN POLITICS'Carville argued that America has all kinds of dark history, but emphasized, "This is an election, and the DNC is not the place to discuss this. Understand this, the DNC does not exist to right wrongs. It doesnt exist to acknowledge the more unpleasant parts of history. It doesnt exist to make people feel good. It exists - just get it through your head - to win elections.""Now do you think that is going to help us win elections, say, like we did in Iowa?" the strategist asked.CARVILLE DEMANDS DEMS KICK THE S--- OUT OF JD VANCE OVER 'MARTHA'S VINEYARD OF ENGLAND' VACATION"Please stop this, in the name of a just, merciful God," Carville pleaded. "Dont you see whats happening? Dont you see where this has brought us to? For God's sake, lady. And what is [DNC chairman] Ken Martin doing, doing that? You dont have but one job, kid! Its to win!"Carville argued that while the activist who made the acknowledgment may be a perfectly nice person in real life, "that has nothing to do with it. Youre supposed to try to win f---ing elections!"CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREThe DNC's national party convention in Chicago, held ahead of the 2024 election, also included a "land acknowledgment." During that recital the speakers blamed the U.S. government for "forcibly remov[ing]" tribal people from their land.Fox News Digital reached out to the DNC and Sowmick but did not receive an immediate reply.

Trump revokes Kamala Harris' Secret Service protection, spokesperson says
A spokesperson for Kamala Harris confirmed to Fox News on Friday that the former vice president's Secret Service protection has been revoked by President Donald Trump. The spokesperson added that there was no reason given as to why it was removed.A senior White House official told Fox News Digital that vice presidents usually have a Secret Service detail for only six months after departing office.A source briefed on the matter also told Fox News that the decision to revoke Harris' Secret Service protection was made yesterday and that is when the Secret Service was notified.Former President Joe Biden signed an executive memorandum before leaving office which extended Harris' protection for an additional year after the normal six months that former vice presidents received in the past.On Thursday, Trump rescinded that memorandum and Harris' Secret Service protection officially ends on Sept. 1.The move comes as Harris is set to kick off a tour for her upcoming book "107 Days" in late September. The tour is scheduled to visit major American cities in its opening days, including New York City, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. The Secret Service says on its website that after former presidents leave office, they get security details for themselves and their spouses for life, "unless they decline protection."This is a developing story. President Trump issues 'MAKING FEDERAL ARCHITECTURE BEAUTIFUL AGAIN' executive order
President Donald Trump, a wealthy real estate tycoon who cares about building aesthetics, issued an executive order on Thursday declaring traditional and classical architecture as the preferred style for federal buildings."Applicable Federal public buildings should uplift and beautify public spaces, inspire the human spirit, ennoble the United States, and command respect from the general public. They should also be visually identifiable as civic buildings and, as appropriate, respect regional architectural heritage," the order asserts. That language precisely matches language included in a similar executive order Trump issued during the tail end of his first term, "Promoting Beautiful Federal Civic Architecture," which President Joe Biden rescinded in 2021.TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDERS TO ELIMINATE NO-CASH BAIL FOR SUSPECTS IN DC AND NATIONWIDE"Architecture particularly traditional and classical architecture that meets the criteria set forth in this subsection is the preferred architecture for applicable Federal public buildings. In the District of Columbia, classical architecture shall be the preferred and default architecture for Federal public buildings absent exceptional factors necessitating another kind of architecture," the president's newly issued order declares.Other architectural styles are not prohibited by his executive order.TRUMP'S FLAG-BURNING ORDER DRAWS RARE FIRE FROM CONSERVATIVESThe text notes that "classical and traditional architecture are preferred modes of architectural design," but the "preference does not exclude the possibility of alternative styles in appropriate circumstances."And while the president focuses on aesthetics in the order, he also keeps costs and dependability in mind.BIDEN BULLDOZES TRUMP'S CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE MANDATE FOR FEDERAL BUILDINGS"Designs shall adhere to sound construction practice and utilize materials, methods, and equipment of proven dependability. Buildings shall be economical to build, operate, and maintain, and should be accessible to the handicapped," the order notes.

Since Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser have been confirmed to star in the latest "Yellowstone" spin-off, there have been rumors, casting wishes and other theories about the series circulating online.Fox News Digital confirmed earlier this week that Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler will continue their on-screen love story. The new series will pick up right after the "Yellowstone" finale.A description of the show reads, "Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he's supposed to be."'YELLOWSTONE' STARS COLE HAUSER, KELLY REILLY CONFIRMED FOR SPIN-OFF SERIES ALONGSIDE MAJOR CASTING ADDITIONRumors about the title of the series have been circulating online.Country Living shut down "Rio Palo" theories. A representative for 101 Studios, the production company that produces all of Taylor Sheridan's shows, told the outlet the new spin-off will not be working under that title. A representative of the show told Fox News Digital that "The Dutton Ranch" is the working title of the series, but it will not be the final name. There have also been rumors the new series would premiere this year, but Paramount confirmed to Country Living that it will debut in 2026.Some theories suggested the series would not take place at the Dutton Ranch in Montana. Country Living confirmed the show is currently being filmed in Ferris, Texas, a small town 20 miles outside Dallas. This could mean an entirely new ranch and setting for Beth and Rips story.WATCH: 'YELLOWSTONE' STAR COLE HAUSER ADDRESSES SEASON SIX RUMORSA report from Puck News suggested that Beth and Rip's series is looking for a Kevin Costner-type character to join the cast. That points to Reilly and Hauser's show being the most similar to the original "Yellowstone," compared to other Sheridan spin-offs like "1883" and "1923."Fans have also weighed in on the original "Yellowstone" characters they would love to see in the new series. Neal McDonough, who starred as one of the villain Beck brothers, previously told Collider that his character's vague ending could mean a potential return in one of Sheridan's spin-off series."Yes, Malcolm Beck is not dead. No one saw him actually die in the field. I would love to see him come back and cause havoc with Rip because Cole Hauser was one of my dearest pals, and there's nothing I would love more than to go toe to toe with Cole on the show."So, I'm open for that one. Everyone's got to write in to Taylor saying, Bring Malcolm Beck back!" he told the outlet in July.McDonough has rallied fans to get Sheridans attention, since he has only had one conversation with the "Yellowstone" creator."It's funny, I've spoken with Taylor [Sheridan] once. I had a five-minute conversation with him on set once. That was it, but somehow he keeps on hiring me," he told the outlet. With all the rumors and fan theories floating around the internet, there is still a good amount we know to be true about the series.LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? Self-proclaimed 'apostle' who claims to be Jesus' best friend arrested in forced labor scheme
Two professed religious leaders, including one who referred to himself as an "apostle" and claimed to be Jesus' best friend, were arrested Wednesday as part of a nationwide takedown related to forced labor at call centers where workers were coerced into soliciting millions of dollars in donations, the Justice Department said.David Taylor, 53, and Michelle Brannon, 56, were arrested in North Carolina and Florida, respectively. Both were leaders of the Kingdom of God Global Church (KOGGC), formerly Joshua Media Ministries International (JMMI), federal prosecutors said. Both are charged with conspiracy to commit forced labor, forced labor, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Fox News Digital has reached out to the Kingdom of God church and an attorney representing both defendants.LUXURY REAL ESTATE BROTHERS HIT WITH NEW CHARGES IN FEDERAL SEX TRAFFICKING CASE"Forced labor and exploitation have no place in America," FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "These indictments expose years of abuse carried out under the guise of faith, and this week the FBI will move decisively with our partners to bring justice to the victims and accountability to the perpetrators.""Under President Trumps leadership, the FBI will not hesitate to act against those who prey on vulnerable people for power and profit," Patel added.Search warrants were executed in Taylor, Michigan; Chesterfield, Missouri; Ocal, Houston; Durham, North Carolina; and Tampa and Ocala, Florida.Near Tampa, federal agents raided a 10-bedroom, 10.5-bathroom, 28,000-square-foot home allegedly associated with Taylor.SCIENTOLOGY SPOTLIGHT: DANNY MASTERSON, TOM CRUISE, LEAH REMINI ILLUMINATE HOLLYWOOD CHURCH DRAMA"Everyone was like, how could a pastor afford to live in a house like that?" neighbor Sheilah Mauldin told Fox Tampa. "I mean, even some of the people who live there couldn't afford to live in that particular house in there. I hope it's not true, but if it is, you know he deserves everything he's going to get."Taylor refers to himself as "Apostle" and to Brannon as his Executive Director. He also claimed to have had multiple face-to-face encounters with God and that God had given him the keys to the "Kingdom on Earth," according to a federal indictment.Their organization ran a call center that solicited donations for KOGGC/JMMI, authorities said. Taylor established his first call center in Taylor, Michigan, and then operated call centers across the country, including in Florida, Texas, and Missouri.EX-MEGACHURCH FOUNDER HIT WITH $1M LAWSUIT CLAIMING SEXUAL ABUSE AND ELABORATE COVER-UP SCHEMETaylor refers to himself as Jesuss best friend and claims God has given him the "keys to the Kingdom on Earth," prosecutors said. He has also claimed that anyone who defies his orders and commands is defying God and will suffer in hell.Taylor and Brannon allegedly compelled their victims to work at their call centers and to serve as his "armor bearers," who were forced to fulfill his demands around the clock, prosecutors said. The pair also allegedly controlled every aspect of the victims lives, including forcing them to work at call centers for long hours without pay. They also set "unobtainable" daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly monetary donation goals, authorities said.If victims disobeyed an order or failed to achieve their monetary goals, Taylor and Brannon punished them with public humiliation, additional work, food and shelter restrictions, psychological abuse, forced repentance, sleep deprivation, physical assaults, and threats of divine judgment in the form of sickness, accidents, and eternal damnation, the Justice Department said. The 23-page indictment showed text messages from Taylor, including one from March 2022 when he allegedly texted a group chat: "Point blankif you dont work, you cant eat."SWISS-BORN LIBERAL MEGADONOR SLAPPED WITH LAWSUIT FOR ALLEGEDLY GROPING, SEXUALLY HARASSING WINERY EMPLOYEEA September 2021 text message from Taylor to one victim allegedly read: "How is it in 5 hours you';; have only raised $6k? this is a marathon!! You'll are not taking this seriously enough!!""THIS HAS TO STOP!! Nobody gets lunch or dinner!!" he added. Over the next 5 hours if they don't make up for this they are not going to bed until 4am."Many of the laborers moved into the Taylor, Michigan, building or were housed in separate residential locations and bused to the call center to work every day.Meanwhile, the ministry allegedly received millions in donations each year through its call centers. Taylor and Brannon allegedly used much of the money to purchase luxury properties, vehicles, and sporting equipment such as a boat, jet skis, and ATVs.Many of the vehicles purchased included several Mercedes-Benz cars and three Bentleys, according to court documents.Since 2014, Taylor has received around $50 million in donations, authorities said."Money laundering is tax evasion in progress, and in this case, the proceeds funded an alleged human trafficking ring and supported a luxury lifestyle under the guise of a religious ministry," said Karen Wingerd, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Detroit Field Office. Some church pastors have used a series of tax loopholes and lax federal government oversight to enrich themselves for years, said Nathan Apffel, director of "The Religion Business," a multi-part documentary slated to be released on Amazon in September."Shrewd pastors or shrewd businessmen and women have taken leadership positions and will kind of often use the benefits that the government has given churches and use those for ill intent to benefit themselves and David Taylor is a perfect example of that," he told Fox News Digital.Apffel noted that the way Taylor allegedly spent money was a pattern he saw in scale."The same rulebook that David Taylor played by, every single religious institution in the U.S. plays by those same rules," he said. "That means anybody can do whatever they want and it falls back to the moral compass of leadership.""One thing we always say is human will human," he added. "When theres an opportunity to cheat the system or benefit yourself without accountability, it usually will end up happening."Taylor also had sexual relationships with many of the women in the organization, prosecutors allege. Many flew out to engage in sexual relations with him, authorities said. He also insisted on discretion and encouraged the women not to befriend one another.Taylor started JMMI in Michigan in the mid-2000s. Eventually, he stopped the services and turned JMMI into a call center where laborers made "cold calls" to individuals to obtain monetary donations for him and the ministry. In addition, he demanded the laborers give up their lives to serve JMMI full-time.In 2019, the nonprofit tax-exempt status for JMMI was revoked. However, Taylor maintained the organization and changed the name to the Kingdom of God Global Church (KOGGC). He then reapplied for a new tax-exempt status, which he was awarded.Taylor and Brannon face up to 60 years in prison and thousands of dollars in fines.Brannon appeared in a Tampa federal courtroom on Wednesday, Fox Tampa reported. She told a judge that she had two private attorneys, out of St. Louis and Oklahoma, who were already working with them. However, she said she hadn't heard from either of them.
