Unexpected state dominates America's pizza scene and it's not New York
The No. 1 destination for pizza in America isn't New York. And it's not Chicago either. That distinction belongs to New Hampshire. That's right. Each U.S. state was ranked by how much it loves pizza, according to research from Maine Lobster Now.MOST POPULAR BEER IN AMERICA REVEALED IN NEW STUDYThe study analyzed the number of pizzerias per 100,000 residents, along with people's interest in pizza, by using data from Google searches and the average price of pizza in each state.Travel + Leisure reported on the study and provided statements from Maine Lobster Now. "New Hampshire is the ultimate destination for pizza lovers," Maine Lobster Now said in a statement provided to the publication.Fox News Digital reached out to Maine Lobster Now for additional comment. The state has 1,022 pizzerias, which equates to about 72.73 pizzerias per 100,000 residents. This was the highest in the dataset, according to Maine Lobster Now.PIZZA WITH DILL PICKLES 'UNDERWHELMS' CRITICS AS IT LANDS IN GROCERY STORE FREEZERS"Add in the high pizza enthusiasm of 22,512 pizza-related searches per 100,000 residents and a wallet-friendly average pizza price of $15.74, and you've got a state that ensures pizza enthusiasts have ample options at relatively affordable prices," the Maine-based seafood company said.Another top state from the study was Ohio with 4,150 pizzerias. What sets Ohio apart is its high number of searches (28,563) per 100,000 residents, according to the study.HOT DOG TOWERS ARE A BUDGET-FRIENDLY REPLACEMENT FOR SEAFOOD TOWERSThat's the highest search ratio in the top five states. The next three states in the top five are, respectively, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Michigan. The rest of the top 10 states are Kansas, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Indiana.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTERKansas is a standout pizza destination for its low average price of $14.96 per pie, according to the study.New York ranked 29th. The study admits this is shockingly low, probably because the state is known for pizza. For more Lifestyle articles, visitfoxnews.com/lifestyleThe average pie in New York costs $19.73, making it one of the most expensive pies in the dataset. The state also only has roughly 19 pizzerias per 100,000 residents."It's hard to reconcile these numbers with New York's cultural dominance in the pizza world, but its iconic, thin, foldable slices continue to shape America's love for pizza, regardless of the rankings," the report stated.

BROADCAST BIAS: Networks ooze with sympathy to anyone who opposes Trump
Everything the broadcast networks report about politics revolves around fervent opposition to President Donald Trump. If you watch them daily, you feel very certain that Trump has put the economy in a "tariff meltdown," hes ruined our reputation around the world, and hes running roughshod over poor, innocent immigrants. Now that their celebrated deportee Kilmar Abrego Garcia looks more undeniably like a wife beater who was actively employed in human trafficking of other illegal immigrants, the networks need a new sympathetic victim. They found one in Mohsen Mahdawi, a 34-year-old U.S. permanent resident who was born and raised in a refugee camp in the West Bank who, as a student at Columbia, led pro-Hamas protests as they chanted "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," which means they want the nation of Israel destroyed.COLUMBIA'S ACTING PRESIDENT SLAMS STORMING OF CAMPUS LIBRARY BY ANTI-ISRAEL AGITATORS: 'UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE'In April, ICE took him into custody and prepared him for deportation. When a judge overruled them and Mahdawi was released, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin argued: "When you advocate for violence, glorify and support terrorists that relish the killing of Americans, and harass Jews, that privilege should be revoked, and you should not be in this country."But CBS reporter Lilia Luciano celebrated Mahdawi, as he proclaimed his "freedom signals a light of hope" and, after being asked what he "felt" when he learned hed be released, he added he "was reassured in my heart of the belief that justice will prevail and the justice system is functioning." Mahdawi quoted Martin Luther King Jr., as if his heroes in Hamas are role models of nonviolence.Luciano failed to revisit the interview Mahdawi gave to "60 Minutes" for a December 2023 segment on campus protests. Mahdawi supported Hamas by arguing "When somebody is hurting you, when you see this person is being punched in the face and this feeling, it is: You now feel my pain."CBSs Bill Whitaker pushed back: "But this Hamas attack wasn't a punch in the face. This was a horrible terror attack." Mahdawi claimed he wasnt justifying the slaughter of 1,200 people, but he then said he "can empathize" with Hamas. "To empathize is to understand the root cause, and to not look at any event or situation in a vacuum. This is, for me, the path moving forward."CBS is now ignoring that court documents show Mahdawi allegedly told a gun shop owner he would work at his shop for free, and that he, "had considerable firearm experience and used to build modified 9mm submachine guns to kill Jews while he was in Palestine." But he's presented positively as a peaceful protester. On April 29, NPR anchor Leila Fadel also promoted Mahdawi, and asserted there was no evidence Mahdawi used "threatening rhetoric," since "from the river to the sea" chants calling for the destruction of Israel is somehow not defined as "threatening." He "finds peace in meditation,"NPR oozed. Mahdawi's lawyer, Luna Droubi, claimed that "Mahdawi has been very vocal in his opposition to antisemitism." So much for the "killing Jews" allegations. The networks also find Trumps victims among his former employees. In her "Meet the Press" interview, host Kristen Welker pressed the president about an apparent Justice Department investigation of Miles Taylor, the former DHS bureaucrat who was granted a much-promoted anti-Trump op-ed in The New York Times as "Anonymous" and then came an "Anonymous" book deal.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION"Last month, you directed your attorney general, Pam Bondi, to review two people who you perceive to be your political adversaries," Welker weirdly claimed, as if you cant be sure Taylor has been all over television trashing Trump. "You told me in December that you would not direct the Justice Department to investigate your political foes." These TV anchors pretend Bidens Justice Department didnt spend every minute prosecuting Trump and his supporters. They followed up by interviewing Taylor on "NBC Nightly News." Legal reporter Laura Jarrett the daughter of Obama chief of staff Valerie Jarrettclearly constructed the interview to elicit sympathy for Taylor, presenting him as an endangered whistleblower, not an attention-seeking opportunist who may have divulged classified information as he capitalized on his "anonymous" revelations."The 38-year-old says he's now receiving a barrage of threats," warned Jarrett. Taylor claimed "My wife has to read online about people saying that they'll put me in front of a firing squad. We were told by security experts to go update our last will and testament."Jarrett wasnt going to imagine what people say on the internet about Trump and how some rooted for his assassination. Taylor was allowed to play the hero who wont be silenced: "What I worry about is that they will try to use this tactic, this bludgeon of the bully pulpit of the presidency to go shut people up."ABC, CBS, and NBC all use their "bludgeon of a bully pulpit" to intimidate conservatives and Republicans and seek victory for the Democrats. Anyone opposed to Trump will be lionized as Trump is routinely demonized.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM TIM GRAHAM

Vanity Fair claims Americas obsession with protein is tied to MAGA movement
Is the desire to eat a high-protein diet and the MAGA movement correlated? According to a report from Vanity Fair, it is.The May 1 article titled "Why Are Americans So Obsessed With Protein? "Blame MAGA," attempts to compare Americans eating a diet aimed at promoting muscle growth and longevity to MAGA, and the so-called "manosphere."The piece claims that American "protein mania" has been building over the last few decades. Right off the bat, this is considered to be a part of the "manosphere," an umbrella term for sites and influencers that promote masculinity and anti-feminism.The article begins with the claim of more men being interested in increasing protein in their diets."I dont have a good sense on whats driving that right now, other than if its just the usual manosphereor manomania, here in the United States," Pieter Cohen, an internist at Cambridge Health Alliance and associate professor, mentioned in the piece. Cohen made this claim because he said he had more male patients bring up the interest of increasing protein than women patients.IS PROTEIN MAKING YOU FAT? HEALTH EXPERTS WEIGH IN ON TODAY'S FOOD FOCUSHe went on to claim that "everyones letting their testosterone out these days."The article describes this interest in high-protein diets as a "lust for protein," and claims that men view certain food choices that have more protein as more masculine, citing a 2023 study. Additionally, the claim is made that men have used eating meat as a part of their "identity" in addition to feeling more masculine. From there, the article attempts to explain how MAGA is related to this interest in protein. The article states that President Donald Trump is at the "helm" of the manosphere, and notes his love of burgers and locker room talk.Additionally, in the piece, podcasters Theo Von and Joe Rogan were described as "playing a major part" in the election of Trump, who was a guest on their shows during the campaign. Rogan was mentioned for his support of eating red meat, during a conversation about the carnivore diet. The article mentions a study that makes the drastic claim that young men's appeal to protein powders and other supplements could lead to or be a "pipeline" to the use of anabolic steroids.5 EXCELLENT PROTEIN SOURCES THAT AREN'T MEAT, ACCORDING TO NUTRITIONISTSNeuroscientist, professor and podcast host Dr. Andrew Huberman is also mentioned in the article for his support of consuming a high-protein diet. Huberman has encouraged his listeners to approach protein and diet goals with a "balanced and comprehensive" approach to nutrition and obtain quality sources of protein.Fox News contributor Mary Katharine Ham reacted to this article on "The Will Cain Show" Tuesday. "If wanting a steak and prominent delts (deltoid muscles) is wrong, I don't want to be right."Ham said the left is "giving over" many things to the right, such as eating high-protein and lifting weights. Ham said the article "misses the story" and said eating protein is very good for you and argues that women are shifting their views to embrace the desire to eat more protein and lift weights to maintain muscle mass and support bone density."It is not gendered, it is just good for you," she said.

Why longtime Trump ally and former Republican Gov. Paul LePage is aiming for a political comeback
LEWISTON, MAINE - EXCLUSIVE - Former two-term Gov. Paul LePage of Maine says President Donald Trumpis a major reason why he's coming out of political retirement at age 76 and he's eyeing a campaign comeback."I never, ever had any aspirations to go to Washington until now," LePage said this week in his first national interview after launching his bid for the House in Maine's Second Congressional District, which is a top swing seat the GOP aims to flip in the 2026 midterm elections. The contest will likely be one of the most closely watched House races in the country next year as the Republicans aim to hold their fragile majority in the chamber."Donald Trump, I think, is doing what is necessary in addressing the debt this country is facing. And I think that's a big, big thing for me," LePage said as he was interviewed in the Maine city where he was born and raised.HOUSE REPUBLICAN CAMPAIGN CHAIR SPELLS OUT HIS PLAYBOOK TO HOLD THE CONGRESSIONAL MAJORITYLePage highlighted, "I have a friend in the White House right now. I know President Trump. I think I can have an audience of President Trump. I know several of his secretaries very well. And so I think this is a good time. It's a good time for me to go help."LePage the brash and blunt politician who won over blue-collar workers struggling with economic woes, which helped the Republican businessman win election and re-election in the blue-leaning state was one of the first major GOP elected officials to endorse Trump when the president first ran for the White House nearly a decade ago."I was Donald Trump before Donald Trump became popular," LePage joked at the time, in a line that's since become famous. The conservative governor, who grabbed national attention with controversial comments made during his tenure, briefly moved with his wife, Ann, to Florida after finishing his second term in 2019."I am done with politics. I have done my eight years. Its time for somebody else," he said at the time.CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS TARGETING THESE HOUSE REPUBLICANS IN 2026 MIDTERM BATTLEBut LePage re-established residency in Maine five years ago and challenged his successor as governor, Democratic Gov. Janet Mills, in the 2022 election.LePage ended up losing his bid for a third term by 13 points to Mills, but he did carry the 2nd Congressional District in that race.Moderate Democratic Rep. Jared Golden, a U.S. Marine veteran who deployed to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and who often bucks his own party in Congress, has held the seat since first winning it in 2018.But Golden won re-election by a razor-thin margin last year in the district, which is the second-most rural in the U.S. and the largest east of the Mississippi River. And Trump, who carried the district in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 presidential elections by nine, seven and 10 points, earned an electoral vote each time, as Maine and Nebraska, are the only two states in the union to allocate their electoral votes partially by congressional district.MAINE'S GOLDEN TAKES AIM AT FELLOW DEMOCRATS OVER POLICYGolden, in a statement after LePage announced his candidacy, said, "I thought Paul was doing his best work in retirement."But the 42-year-old Golden has yet to announce whether he'll seek re-election next year or instead run for either the state's Senate seat or the open governor's office. In his Fox News interview, LePage reiterated that the nation's debt is a top motivation for him to return to politics. As of May 8, the national debt was $36,212,886,111,158.26, according to Fox News' National Debt Tracker."It's the spending and the debt that this country has, and I'm worried about my grandchildren, great-grandchildren. And I think we have a president now that's really willing to tackle it, and Im willing to help," he said. But LePage added that "the other thing that is really big is what's happening in our country with the woke environment. I think I want to be there to help clean that up if we can. Having boys play in girls' sports is really sad."He also highlighted his Tuesday meetingpart of a three-day swing through the congressional districtwith Maine student Cassidy Carlisle, whom he described as "the courageous young woman fighting unfair male competition in girls sports."Maine's 2nd Congressional District shares a long border with Canada. When asked if he'll be spotlighting border security and immigration as major issues in his campaign, Lepage said, "Big time."But the controversial tariffs the president placed on nations across the globe last month has strained relations with Canada."I'm all for the tariffs," LePage said. "The tariffs will fix our international trade and lower taxes."LePage acknowledged: "Is it going to hurt in the short term? Yeah, it's going to hurt a little bit in the short term, but I think it's necessary."And he predicted that "the tariffs are going to be a short-term problem. I think they're going to settle out."LePage spoke with Fox News at Lewiston's Franco Center, a performing arts center and historic site of Franco-American culture located in a former Gothic church built in 1907 for French Canadian immigrants in Maine, which is located alongside the city's historical mills and canals. The former governor, who survived a troubling and often brutal upbringing, gave Fox News a tour of the many dwellings within blocks of the Franco Center, where he spent his childhood. The eldest son of 18 children, LePage grew up speaking French in an impoverished home with an alcoholic and abusive father who was a mill worker. At age 11, he ran away from home after his father beat him and broke his nose. He lived on the streets of Lewiston and often crashed on friends' couches for a couple of years before earning a living shining shoes, washing dishes at a restaurant, and haling boxes for a local truck driver."I had a very, very, rough upbringing as a youth. We were in welfare, we were in poverty," he said.LePage, speaking in the church where he was baptized and sought refuge during his family troubles, told Fox News, "It feels good coming in this building. This was a special building. A couple of nuns and priests were really helpful in my upbringing."He went on to graduate from high school, and with financial help from friends, attended and graduated from college. He later enjoyed success as a businessman, including greatly expanding Marden's Surplus and Salvage, a Maine-based discount store chain.Years later, he ventured into politics, winning election to the Waterville city council and later serving as the city's mayor before winning statewide office in 2010.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPThe former governor says his rough childhood has influenced his political life in a way that not many other politicians can understand. And he lamented, "Unfortunately, the mentality in the current society is not to help people get out of poverty, but it's to keep them in poverty.""I want to help get them out of poverty," he said. "I think there are so many programs that we can institute that will elevate people in poverty, rather than keep them."

Menendez brothers' resentencing moves forward as DA calls out 'deceit, 'narcissistic tendencies' in prison
The saga of Lyle and Erik Menendez ever seeing life outside prison walls could face a new hurdle after bombshell details from their Comprehensive Risk Assessment (CRA) depicted troubling behavior from both brothers. The details of the CRA came to light during court on Friday as Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman and his office fired off one last Hail Mary to have Judge Michael Jesic halt the resentencing process.Hochman's office failed as Judge Jesic said "there was nothing significantly new in the CRA or otherwise for him to stop the process."But before the judge made his final ruling, which cleared the way for Erik and Lyle Menendezs resentencing to proceed, Hochman detailed why new evidence in the CRA reports raised red flags, details he added were not in the original reports requested by former LA DA George Gascon.CALIFORNIA AG TAKES STANCE ON MENENDEZ BROTHERS PROSECUTOR STAYING ON CASE AMID RESENTENCING BATTLEHochman shared the findings from each CRA report, which is done by state psychologists from the state parole office, that determine the overall risk assessment of likelihood to commit violence after the release of both Menendez brothers. He argued that the pair is not "low-risk" but more elevated. Each report found that Erik and Lyle, in recent months, had been cited for breaking prison rules for contraband violations, specifically the possession of cell phones.Hochman shared the findings on Lyle Menendez first, whose "actions perpetrated deceit," speaking about the contraband phone. He added that Lyle had "downplayed his rule-breaking" and that his report showed his "entitlement and willingness to meet his own needs."MENENDEZ BROTHERS CASE: WHAT'S NEXT FOR KILLERS AFTER DEFENSE, DA SPAR OVER RESENTENCINGHochman added that he should have been on his best behavior since his resentencing was on the table.Instead, Hochman said, he proved that "he is more likely to do whatever it takes to meet his own needs and has narcissistic tendencies."When speaking about Erik's report, Hochman said it was revealed that "he has behavior issues and lacks maturity."Headded that Erik is also vulnerable to negative influence of others including his brother. He also referenced incidents as recent as January 2025 of Erik being flagged for possessing and dealing drugs, as well as helping other inmates with tax fraud.LA DA REJECTS MENENDEZ BROTHERS' RECUSAL PUSH IN RESENTENCING, CALLS IT A 'DRASTIC AND DESPERATE STEP'Neama Rahmani, former federal prosecutor and president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told Fox News Digital that the "whole case is political.""What makes the Menendez brothers case unique is that Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the CRA before Lyle and Erik were resentenced to a sentence that includes the possibility of parole," he said."The whole case is political," he said. "Normally the report wouldnt be ordered, much less available, until parole was even an option."Rahmani noted that Judge Jesic will consider rehabilitation, acceptance of responsibility, disciplinary history in prison, fairness of the sentence, and impact on the victims.Los Angeles attorney Tre Lovell told Fox News Digital that while the CRA is significant, it is not an "end all, be all.""Both sides will be able to cross-examine the authors of the assessment," he said. "The court will consider it, but will do so mildly, and be more reliant on the cross-examinations and the specific findings of fact derived once its conclusion is tested in court.""Witness testimony and expert testimony are also extremely important in terms of deciding resentencing."Judge Jesic also noted that the conclusions of the state psychologists are "subjective and not available for cross-examination in his court."He also noted that those conclusions can change and flagged the various warnings attached to using the CRA outside the state parole system. This was an issue the brothers defense lawyer Mark Geragos hit upon inside the court saying Hochman was "twisting these" conclusions in violation of state parole guidance and using here in this matter is a "dog and pony show."SIGN UP TO GET TRUE CRIME NEWSLETTER"Last time I looked, cell phones in prison are not a super strike," he said. "The cell phone violations were known.
