"When they stop people, they find they're illegal, they report them, they give them to us, etc., that's a very positive thing."DEFENSE SECRETARY PETE HEGSETH VOWS TO BE 'FORCE MULTIPLIERS' OF DC POLICE"I have heard that it just happened," Trump said. "That's a great step. That's a great step if they're doing that. Yeah. I think that's going to happen all over the country. We want to stop crime. I think if the Democrats aren't strong on this issue, they won't be able to do it."The order means that Metropolitan Police can share details about their interactions with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. In addition to Trump, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem also hailed the new order a success earlier Thursday."That means that as soon as they encounter somebody who is committing a crime, they will share that with ICE and we will be able to get those illegal criminals out of this country and well make America safer," Noem told Fox News Thursday.TRUMP TAKES CONTROL OF METRO POLICE, DEPLOYS NATIONAL GUARD TO TAKE ON WASHINGTON CRIMENow that the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington has been federalized, it remains under the authority of Attorney General Pam Bondi.A temporary federal takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department is permitted under emergency circumstances. However, Trump's move will likely be challenged in court over whether the situation in Washington qualifies as an emergency.National Guard troops started to arrive in Washington Wednesday. These troops are reserve forces that respond to state and federal operations, typically in accordance with orders from their state governments.Trump has deviated from thenorm though, and mobilized National Guard troops from California to respond to immigration riots in June. By doing so, he bypassed California Gov. Gavin Newsom.TRUMP THREATENS TO FEDERALIZE DC AFTER EX-DOGE EMPLOYEE 'BIG BALLS' VIOLENTLY BEATENHowever, Washington is different because the federal government oversees the District of Columbia National Guard.Meanwhile, Democrats on Capitol Hill have decried Trumps attempt to federalize the police and bring in National Guard troops."First, Donald Trump used the Marines and the National Guard to support his mass deportation agenda in Los Angeles," Schiff posted on X Monday. "Now, he's using similar tactics in D.C. like a tinpot dictator. Don't look away. Don't stay silent. If you do, don't be surprised if it's your city next."0 Commentaires 0 Parts 36 Vue 0 Aperçu

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTaylor Swift says turning Jason Kelces daughters into cat fans after white lie was a great challengeTaylor Swift reveled in her ability to convince Jason Kelces young daughters that cats are, in fact, not "poisonous."During her appearance on the "New Heights" podcast,Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce asked Swift how she felt about Jason telling his daughters that cats are poisonous, likely in an effort to dissuade them from asking for one."It was actually really a great challenge, because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they werent poisonous. And theres no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my rag doll cat, who lets humans hold him like hes a baby," Swift said confidently.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ONFOXNEWS.COM"My favorite thing ever is when Benny (Jasons 2-year-old) will come up to me and just go, I find Benjamin. I find him,' And shes just like over there, just laying with him and petting him and holding him."Swift added that the girls get excited to be around her three cats, which she named Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button."Im like, Yup, and you know what? [Meredith] didnt bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldnt be poisonous. Theyre like, Thats not what our dad said. They sit around, and thats enough."Jason didnt deny the speculation, adding that a "barn cat" wasnt entirely out of the question.Jason and Kylie Kelce welcomed another member of the family earlier this year when they announced the birth of their fourth daughter, Finnley, in March.Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 15 Vue 0 Aperçu

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJohnny Manziel wishes 'nothing but the best' for Arch Manning except for 1 game during Texas' 2025 seasonHeisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel wishes "nothing but the best" for Arch Manning as Manning embarks on his first season as a full-time starter with the Texas Longhorns. But Manziel's own college football allegiance has him hoping Manning has his worst game of the year during Rivalry Week in college football.Manziel's Texas A&M Aggies take priority over any Longhorns player.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"Whenever [Texas] plays Texas A&M, I hope he throws five picks and no touchdowns and gives us an opportunity to win that ballgame we need to win," Manziel told Fox News Digital while discussing his partnership with Sling TV."The Lone Star Showdown" is the moniker for Texas-Texas A&M week, which is commonly played during Rivalry Week. This year, the game will be played Nov. 28, the latest regular-season game for the Aggies and Longhorns. So, Manziel will have other weeks before that matchup to watch what the Longhorns and Manning are doing while rooting on his Aggies.ARCHIE MANNING SAYS GRANDSON ARCH 'ISN'T GOING' TO DECLARE FOR THE 2026 NFL DRAFTManning's expectations as the Longhorns' starter are through the roof with Quinn Ewers moving on to the NFL. Texas is atop The Associated Press' Top 25 preseason poll, and many are picking them to win this year's College Football Playoff.Manziel isn't going to go that far, but he is excited to see what Manning can do with the spotlight on him in Austin."Texas is starting out very highly ranked," Manziel said. "A lot of hype around them, and theres a lot of pressure in that situation. But, from what hes shown so far, youd think hed be able to handle it, and hes going to play well. The SEC, week in and week out, well find out exactly what hes made of."For me, from my perspective, Im wishing him nothing but the best. Seems like an amazing kid, has an amazing family. I want him to do amazing things outside of that one day."Manziel got to know the Manning family well, having won the coveted "Manning Award" for the best college football quarterback during his Heisman-winning 2012 campaign at A&M.Arch has a strong support system with his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning; his father, Cooper Manning; and his grandfather, New Orleans Saints legend Archie Manning. But Manziel is curious, like the rest of the country, to see how Arch does when he's between the lines facing the reigning national champion Ohio State Buckeyes to kick off his 2025 campaign."When youre ranked that high going into the season, and you have the hype and the name and everything that comes along with it, youre going to get everybodys best shot week in and week out," Manziel said. "Right out of the gate for them in their schedule, they get a real test playing a real team out of the gate."So, youre getting everybodys best shot. People are coming for you, and theres gonna be defenses you havent seen before, looks you havent seen before. Theyre really going to be gunning for you."ARCH MANNING RECEIVES COMPARISON TO LEGENDARY TEXAS QUARTERBACKManziel knows the expectations of leading a highly-touted SEC school."The main thing that he has to do is just continue to be a good leader, continue to run the offense the way hes taught, the way he needs to, and just keep things in a good perspective that not everything is going to go smooth every single drive, every single week," Manziel said of Manning."Youre going to deal with some adversity. Youre going to have some ballgames that are three-point games where you have to try to hold people out, and hopefully they go your way."The best thing that he can do is show up, be the guy, be the leader, and go out and play his best football week in and week out."A DIFFERENT WAY TO WATCH FOOTBALLManziel partnered with Sling TV, a subsidiary of DISH Network Corporation, to promote a different way of watching football this season, one that takes the consumer into consideration.Sling TV is offering three new streaming subscription packages: Day Pass, Weekend Pass and Week Pass, which all give 24-hour access to the platform. When it comes to football, especially at the college level, not all fans want to pay a premium for games they wont watch. Manziel loves that he can pick and choose the right streaming subscription with Sling TV."I get these notifications on my phone that say, You get charged X amount for this or that. Im like, Man, Im just trying to watch ball. To have something start at $4.99, and you pick which one you want you want a day, a week, a weekend. Being an SEC guy through and through, I think, for me, it makes it easy for me to watch whatever I want whenever I want, and its really easy. You dont have to sit there with overhead or anything else going on. For me, I dont think it can be any better."Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 29 Vue 0 Aperçu

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMNew York Times essay hoping military would 'stand up to Trump' draws fire on social mediaSocial media users accused the New York Times of being in favor of a "military coup" after publishing a guest essay with the headline "We Used to Think the Military Would Stand Up to Trump. We Were Wrong."Former National Security Council members Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevenson wrote the essay on Wednesday in response to President Donald Trump deploying the National Guard to Washington, D.C., in an effort to combat crime. They remarked that this and other recent orders from Trump "registered no public objection" from top officers and warned that "in the context of domestic theaters," the military cant be politically neutral."Unfortunately, though we (and others) had hoped that the military would only respond to calls to action in American cities and states kicking and screaming, we no longer expect resistance from that institution," they wrote. "Once, perhaps, traditionalist officers might have leaned on protocol and refused to heed a lawless order, taking inspiration from the generals Mark Milley and James Mattis who resisted the uprooting of established military standards in the first Trump term."NY TIMES REPORTER ADMITS TRUMP IS WAY MORE EFFECTIVE IN SECOND TERMThe essay continued, "But today, general officers no longer seem to see themselves as guardians of the constitutional order. It now seems clear to us that the military will not rescue Americans from Mr. Trumps misuse of the nations military capabilities."Commentators across X accused Simon and Stevenson and the New York Times of arguing in favor of a military uprising against Trump."The New York Times is pro-military coup against President Trump. What a flaming pile of trash in The Times, written by former Obama NSC officials Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevenson," GOP commentator Steve Guest wrote.Global trade analyst Kenneth Rapoza wrote, "NYT would absolutely support a military coup if the Democrats were in the white House. Spare me otherwise. They'd then berate you in how good and just it was. Their urban educated readers who went to NYU would disown you as friends and family for disagreeing, acting as the usual useful idiots they are in service of the regime.""By the way, this is the very definition of a coup and its the exact opposite of the oath every member of the military swears to uphold," former Byron Donalds staff member Javon A. Price commented."New York Times is really saying the quiet part out loud, huh?" EV Partners founder Robert Sterling joked."Buy guns and ammunition," Townhall.com senior columnist Kurt Schlichter warned.Pirate Wires editor-in-chief Mike Solana wrote, "every now and then the media screaming gets to me and I wonder... wait, should I really be worried? and then they do something wild like ask for a military coup in the pages of the new york times and I remember nope, lol, they're everything they say they hate.""NYT hoping for a military coup in America," columnist Karol Markowicz wrote with a screenshot of the headline.TRUMP DECLARES CASE AGAINST CBS IS A 'WINNER,' HINTS AT ACTION AGAINST NEW YORK TIMESIn a statement to Fox News Digital, a NYT spokesperson defended the piece, saying it was "from two seasoned national security experts" and "thoroughly fact-checked prior to publication.""New York Times Opinion regularly publishes guest essays from a wide variety of writers with deep experience in their fields, and from across the political spectrum including theTrump administration," the spokesperson said.Simon also defended the essay, telling Fox News Digital that no one who read it could come to the conclusion that he was in favor of a military coup."As for actions, military leaders should give the president their best professional advice and decide for themselves whether they should resign if their advice is disregarded," Simon said.White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly criticized the article, calling it "dangerous rhetoric.""Its highly concerning that the New York Times would print this dangerous rhetoric calling on our military to rise up against the duly-elected Commander in Chief, President Trump. The President was resoundingly elected to restore a focus on readiness and lethality at the DOD, and he is delivering on that promise," Kelly told Fox News Digital.According to the Wayback Machine, the article was also titled "How the Military Became Another Instrument of Trumps Power."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPThe New York Times editorial board previously wrote against Trump deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles with regard to the anti-ICE demonstrations in June. They argued that sending the troops was the "real emergency" in Los Angeles and creating "the very chaos it was purportedly designed to prevent."0 Commentaires 0 Parts 31 Vue 0 Aperçu
