Homeless people in DC have 2 choices as Trump admin cracks down
The White House says those living in homeless encampments in the nation's capital will have two choices in the coming days: accept treatment at a homeless shelter, or go to jail.White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the ultimatum during a Tuesday press conference as reporters prodded about President Donald Trump's federal takeover of Washington, D.C.'s law enforcement. She said many of the homeless encampments across the city have already been dismantled, and those that remain she expected to be dealt with this week."Seventy homeless encampments have been removed by the U.S. Park Police," Leavitt said, adding that the Metropolitan Police Department would be joining the Park Police in the effort. "There are only two homeless encampments remaining in D.C. federal parks under the National Park Service's jurisdiction, and the removal of those two remaining camps is scheduled for this week."Asked about what options are available to those in homeless encampments, Leavitt was blunt: "homeless shelters, for addiction and mental health services, or jail if they refuse, are the options on the table right now."TRUMP'S PLAN TO DEPLOY NATIONAL GUARD IN DC SPARKS BACKLASH FROM RESIDENTSBUT SOME WELCOME ITTrump himself had floated the idea of relocating homeless encampments to locations well outside the city. Leavitt confirmed the administration is "exploring" the option, but said it is not yet on the table.A tour by Fox News Digital found that many former hotspots for the homeless have been cleared, with only abandoned clothing and scattered food containers left behind as signs of recent life as of this week.TRUMP INCREASES FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PRESENCE IN DC FOLLOWING VIOLENT CRIME SURGEIn other parts of the city including the heart of downtown the homeless population continued to stake out places to sleep and gather in parks or on busy street corners. At one park, about a dozen people were clustered together with their belongings and a few tents, seemingly unaware of the new crackdown. A dried red substance was splattered across the sidewalk outside their makeshift encampment.TRUMP IS THREATENING TO 'FEDERALIZE' DC WITH NATIONAL GUARD AND MORE. HERE'S HOW THAT COULD PLAY OUTTrump has repeatedly characterized Washington, D.C., as "one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the world." On Saturday, Trump said his administration will "essentially, stop violent crime" in the nation's capital. The renewed focus follows a series of violent incidents in the city, some involving federal staffers, including a high-profile former employee from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) who was a victim of an attempted carjacking."We have a capital thats very unsafe, you know, we just almost lost a young man, beautiful, handsome guy that got the hell knocked out of him," Trump said, referencing former DOGE employee Edward Coristine. The president described crime in D.C. as "out of control," with young "thugs" and "gang members" who are "randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent citizens."Fox News' Morgan Phillips and Amanda Macias contributed to this report

Israeli minister warns Canada is 'marching toward the abyss' after Jewish man attacked in front of children
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney faced criticism for failing to promptly condemn the assault of a Jewish man walking with his children in a Montreal suburb on Friday. The man was walking with his three children in a park when an unknown individual approached and sprayed them with water. The assailant then physically assaulted the father, knocking him to the ground and tossing his kippah away, a traditional skullcap worn by observant Jewish men.On Monday, police in Montreal announced the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect in connection with the assault, an incident that has fueled growing calls for the Canadian government to crack down on rampant antisemitism.CANADAS ANTISEMITISM ENVOY RESIGNS, CITING EXHAUSTION AMID HATE SURGE"Canada had the chance to change course after the disaster of [former Prime Minister Justin] Trudeaus tenure, but instead chose to continue marching toward the abyss. It is beyond doubt that a violent incident like the one we witnessed in Montreal draws direct inspiration from the tailwind Canadas government, de facto, gives to Hamas," Israeli Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Combatting Antisemitism Amichai Chikli told Fox News Digital."Canada is not yet at the stage of Belgium or the U.K.both of which have become extremely dangerous for Jewsbut it is headed there, slowly and inexorably," he added.Carney commented on the incident at 11 p.m. Saturday roughly a day and a half later after Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar publicly criticized Ottawas response."The attack on a Jewish father in Montreal late yesterday, in front of his own children, is an appalling act of violence. Everyone in Canada has an inalienable right to live in safety," Carney posted on X.Saar had called him out on X, writing, "The incident shown in this video is shocking and stomach-turning. ... These are images reminiscent of dark periods ofJewish persecution. This is appalling."The Canadian government must do more to fight antisemitism!" he added.Although Jews account for less than 1% of Canadas population, antisemitism was behind 18.8% of all reportedhate crimes in 2024. Of the 1,342 incidents classified as religiously motivated, 920, or 68.5%, were directed at the Jewish community.Richard Robertson, director of research and advocacy at Bnai Brith Canada, noted that just a week earlier a synagogue in Victoria, British Columbia, had been defaced with antisemitic threats, underscoring that Jew-hatred has become a nationwide problem.FAITH UNDER FIRE: NETANYAHU CALLS OUT EFFORTS TO DIVIDE CHRISTIANS AND ISRAEL IN US"As the situation continues to devolve, Jewish Canadians do not need to be placated with mere lip service. We need our leaders to take clear and unequivocal positions and work vigorously to facilitate change. Anything less only serves to further embolden and enable the vitriolic cohort of our society that continues to attack our community," Robertson told Fox News Digital."What happened in Montreal on Friday afternoon was absolutely horrific. It must serve as a wake-up call for the entire city. This is what happens when civic leaders permit an atmosphere where hateful thugs feel as if they can act with impunity," he said. The attack occurred amid a broader climate of intense antisemitism, which recently led Deborah Lyons, Canadas special envoy on Holocaust remembrance and combating antisemitism, to resign in July three months before her term ended citing physical and emotional exhaustion. It also took place against a backdrop of strained Canada-Israel relations. Canada is one of four countries, alongside France, Australia and the United Kingdom, that have announced their intentionto recognize a Palestinian state.Canada's former ambassador to Israel, Vivian Bercovici, told Fox News Digital that its difficult to discuss the pasttwo years of rising antisemitismin Canada without looking back to October 2015, when former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was first elected prime minister."In my view, Trudeaus approach to the conflict was very unsophisticated. He had a very quickly growing Muslim population in Canada, and he was careful not to do anything to alienate those voters," Bercovici said.According to Statistics Canada, the share of the population identifying as Muslim more than doubled over 20 years, increasing from 2.0% (579,640 people) in 2001 to 4.9% (1,775,715 people) in 2021."What weve seen, as in many other parts of the West, is that they have come and demanded that we change to accommodate them that we change the way we do things. Some of their most consistent demands concern Israel and Jewish communities, which have increasingly become targets," Bercovici said.

From memes to misinformation: Gen Z creators fight back against antisemitism online
For decades, antisemitism in America was confined to the fringes of society and regarded as something shameful. But in the last few years, especially since October 7, it has become mainstream: a digital virus, spreading at light speed through the smartphones of younger generations. This is not the antisemitism of our grandparents era. Today, it thrives in the algorithms. It hides in TikTok trends, in manipulated Instagram Reels, in "funny" memes with dangerous undertones. Misinformation can be dressed up with trending audio and rack up millions of views before the real story has even logged on. And because social media has become the primary lens through which Gen Z and Gen Alpha see the world, these narratives arent just influencing opinion, theyre shaping identities.THIS ISNT JUST ABOUT THE JEWS. IT NEVER WASUnfortunately, when it comes to Israel and the Jewish people, the digital sphere is dominated by political content designed to isolate Israel and attack Jews who support it.TalkIsrael was created to change that.TalkIsrael is a nonprofit with a clear mission: meet young people where they are, in their feeds, and tell Israels story with authenticity, speed and creativity. The organization empowers Gen Z creators through free workshops, mentorship and influencer collaborations to produce short, scroll-stopping videos and relatable content. Every piece is grounded in real stories and honest storytelling, which dismantles misinformation and builds pride. Its a recognition of a simple truth: If you want to reach the next generation, you have to speak their language. That language is visual, fast-paced and driven by authenticity. The old model of issuing press releases or holding panel discussions wont reach a 16-year-old scrolling at midnight, but a 25-second reel capturing everyday life in vibrant Israeli neighborhoods - shared by a creator they already follow - just might.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThe rise of digital antisemitism didnt happen overnight. The vacuum that allowed it to grow was created by years of silence in the social media space, years when Jewish and pro-Israel voices were drowned out by aggressive, coordinated campaigns from Israels detractors. TalkIsrael is proof that the tide can turn, but only if we show up authentically, in the same places and with the same skill. This isnt just about protecting Israels image globally; its about protecting Jewish students in American high schools and colleges from walking into classrooms where their peers only exposure to the Jewish story comes from misleading or malicious posts online.Antisemitism has adapted to the era of the iPhone. Now, so have we. TalkIsraels work is a blueprint for the fight ahead: authentic, creative, and in the palm of your hand.Because if the fight against antisemitism is happening on social media, the answer isnt to log off. Its to log on smarter, stronger and with pride.

Packers rookie Matthew Golden surprises grandma with brand new home: 'She's living good'
Matthew Golden got to live out the dream back in April when he heard his name called in the NFL Draft but he had one more dream to accomplish.Godlen was the 23rd pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and landed with the Green Bay Packers, becoming the team's first wide receiver selected in the first round since 2002. As an added bonus, he got a rousing ovation upon taking the stage, since the draft was right outside Lambeau Field."It was a crazy atmosphere. The fans in general its different in Green Bay. Packer fans, theyre so genuine, and they really love Green Bay. I can tell by the energy at practice. Its a cool place to be and kind of makes me want to practice. Theyre out there at practice giving us juice and energy. Its really cool," Golden said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMIt's been a whirlwind of an offseason for Golden. Right after his final season at Texas ended in the College Football Playoff semifinals, he had to almost immediately grind for the draft. Then came rookie camp, OTAs, minicamp, and now training camp. Essentially, he has not been truly off in about a year. But Golden knew what he signed up for."Its everything I dreamed of as a kid, was to be able to make it to the NFL, go to the draft I felt like the whole process, I definitely took it in and enjoyed it. Now I'm at a great organization where I can just play football have fun."Getting drafted, however, wasn't even his "biggest achievement."That was a promise he made to himself years ago as a child, when he decided to give back to his family that had struggled throughout his upbringing. When Golden was 12 years old, he and his family lost the property of his grandmother's house.TRAVIS KELCE TAKES CREDIT FOR TURNING TAYLOR SWIFT INTO AN 'ENGULFED' FOOTBALL FAN"It always stuck with me that I wanted to do something good for my family, which was get that property back."Shortly after getting drafted, Golden said the first thing he would do with his new money would be to buy his grandmother a house. He wasn't able to get the exact property due to its current condition, but with the help of RE/MAX, he got a nearby house in Houston."It was great. Just seeing the look on my grandma's face when I told her the house was hers, she had a lot of emotions, man. It was a cool moment for me."She's living good, man."Golden surprised his grandmother with the house on July 10. She celebrated her new yard and pulled out a "closet dance."It's been a top-notch 2025 for Golden, but there's still one more goal to accomplish."As a team, we always talk about getting the Lombardi Trophy. That's the question mark we've got in a team room," he said. "And I feel like for us every day, that's what we're trying to achieve. Were getting better offensively and defensively. Were pushing each other. We all know what the end goal is, and thats the Super Bowl. Thats what were chasing."Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X,and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Ex-police chief warns Chicago cops will get hurt because Mayor Johnson wont help ICE
A retired Chicago-area cop expressed frustration with Mayor Brandon Johnsons refusal to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)."What's happening in Chicago and actually the state of Illinois, but I'll talk to you about Chicago, is they're under orders from the mayor not to cooperate with ICE.In fact, he famously said that the Chicago Police Department will never assist ICE, even if it's constitutionally required," Tom Weitzel, who was chief of police in Riverside,Illinois, told Fox News Digital.Weitzel served as police chief in the Chicago suburb, less than an hour outside the city, from January 2008 to May 2021.HOUSE SPEAKER JOHNSON TOURS ICE FACILITY, SAYS CHICAGO MAYOR IS 'ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE LAW'In July, Johnson vowed that his citys police "will notever cooperate with ICE." He also recently called ICE raids "terrorism," and described Trumps America as looking like "if the Confederacy won.""He's had his city attorneys go and brief the administrative staff or Chicago PD, and then they're going to roll call to tell their officers how they cannot assist,"Weitzel said. "And the dangerous thing with that is that he's telling them to never assist. So even when ICE would need more police officers because they're under attack, they're being assaulted, maybe they're being battered. He's directed his police department to not cooperate, which is unheard of. I've actually never heard of that."The retired police chief said he thinks morale among law enforcement in the city is low."And morale is terrible because the media keeps slamming them,"Weitzel continued. "You have the local politicians slamming the police, and you have the mayor, the chief of the whole government for the city of Chicago. He, if anyone thinks he supports police or policing, they are crazy. The mayor is about as anti-police as they come. And you know, nobody should be surprised because he ran on that campaign, and he got elected."Chicagohas seen over 51,000 illegal immigrants from the southern border settle into the city since August 31, 2022.MAYOR JOHNSON WARNS TRUMP AGAINST DEPLOYING FEDERAL TROOPS FOR IMMIGRATION CRACKDOWN IN CHICAGOAs someone who spent 37 years in law enforcement, starting out as a patrol officer for the Chicago Zoological Park Police, in Brookfield, Illinois, and holding various other positions in law enforcement, including being a detective sergeant, patrol sergeant, assistant chief of police, acting chief of police, and finally, chief of police,"Weitzel said he is concerned for the well-being of the Chicago PD."They're going to get police officers hurt, not only ICE agents, federal agents, but local police that are going to be injured, because I can tell you that when there's an attack on them that you've seen that, throughout the country, that some of their caravans have been attacked, the local police are coming to help," he said.Weitzel added that, "Regardless of what the mayor says, and those officers are there not to do ICE enforcement or federal enforcement, they're there to assist ICE and prevent them from getting injured. So you're going to see his own local police officers be injured in the line of duty because of a completely stupid statement like they will never assist ICE."Fox News Digital reached out to Johnson for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

ChatGPT dietary advice sends man to hospital with dangerous chemical poisoning
A man who used ChatGPT for dietary advice ended up poisoning himself and wound up in the hospital. The 60-year-old man, who was looking to eliminate table salt from his diet for health reasons, used the large language model (LLM) to get suggestions for what to replace it with, according to a case study published this week in the Annals of Internal Medicine. When ChatGPT suggested swapping sodium chloride (table salt) for sodium bromide, the man made the replacement for a three-month period although, the journal article noted, the recommendation was likely referring to it for other purposes, such as cleaning.CHATGPT COULD BE SILENTLY REWIRING YOUR BRAIN AS EXPERTS URGE CAUTION FOR LONG-TERM USESodium bromide is a chemical compound that resembles salt, but is toxic for human consumption. It was once used as an anticonvulsant and sedative, but today is primarily used for cleaning, manufacturing and agricultural purposes, according to the National Institutes of Health. When the man arrived at the hospital, he reported experiencing fatigue, insomnia, poor coordination, facial acne, cherry angiomas (red bumps on the skin) and excessive thirst all symptoms of bromism, a condition caused by long-term exposure to sodium bromide. The man also showed signs of paranoia, the case study noted, as he claimed that his neighbor was trying to poison him.ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DETECTS CANCER WITH 25% GREATER ACCURACY THAN DOCTORS IN UCLA STUDYHe was also found to have auditory and visual hallucinations, and was ultimately placed on a psychiatric hold after attempting to escape. The man was treated with intravenous fluids and electrolytes, and was also put on anti-psychotic medication. He was released from the hospital after three weeks of monitoring."This case also highlights how the use of artificial intelligence (AI) can potentially contribute to the development of preventable adverse health outcomes," the researchers wrote in the case study."Unfortunately, we do not have access to his ChatGPT conversation log and we will never be able to know with certainty what exactly the output he received was, since individual responses are unique and build from previous inputs."It is "highly unlikely" that a human doctor would have mentioned sodium bromide when speaking with a patient seeking a substitute for sodium chloride, they noted.NEW AI TOOL ANALYZES FACE PHOTOS TO PREDICT HEALTH OUTCOMES"It is important to consider that ChatGPT and other AI systems can generate scientific inaccuracies, lack the ability to critically discuss results and ultimately fuel the spread of misinformation," the researchers concluded.Dr. Jacob Glanville, CEO of Centivax, a San Francisco biotechnology company, emphasized that people should not use ChatGPT as a substitute for a doctor."These are language prediction tools they lack common sense and will give rise to terrible results if the human user does not apply their own common sense when deciding what to ask these systems and whether to heed their recommendations," Glanville, who was not involved in the case study, told Fox News Digital."This is a classic example of the problem: The system essentially went, You want a salt alternative? Sodium bromide is often listed as a replacement for sodium chloride in chemistry reactions, so therefore its the highest-scoring replacement here."Dr. Harvey Castro, a board-certifiedemergency medicine physician and national speaker on artificial intelligence based in Dallas, confirmed that AI is a tool and not a doctor."Large language models generate text by predicting the most statistically likely sequence of words, not by fact-checking," he told Fox News Digital."ChatGPT's bromide blunder shows why context is king in health advice," Castro went on. "AI is not a replacement for professional medical judgment, aligning with OpenAI's disclaimers."Castro also cautioned that there is a "regulation gap" when it comes to using LLMs to get medical information."FDA bans on bromide don't extend to AI advice global health AI oversight remains undefined," he said. There is also the risk that LLMs could have data bias and a lack of verification, leading to hallucinated information.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTER"If training data includes outdated, rare or chemically focused references, the model may surface them in inappropriate contexts, such as bromide as a salt substitute," Castro noted."Also, current LLMs don't have built-in cross-checking against up-to-date medical databases unless explicitly integrated."To prevent cases like this one, Castro called for more safeguards for LLMs, such as integrated medical knowledge bases, automated risk flags, contextual prompting and a combination of human and AI oversight. The expert added, "With targeted safeguards, LLMs can evolve from risky generalists into safer, specialized tools; however, without regulation and oversight, rare cases like this will likely recur."For more health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/healthOpenAI, the San Francisco-based maker of ChatGPT, provided the following statement to Fox News Digital."Our terms say that ChatGPT is not intended for use in the treatment of any health condition, and is not a substitute for professional advice. We have safety teams working on reducing risks and have trained our AI systems to encourage people to seek professional guidance."

Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce's shared moral values sparked organic love story
Travis Kelce opened up about his "organic" love story with global pop star Taylor Swift. It's been nearly two years since Swift shocked the world by showing up to a Kansas City Chiefs game decked out in red and gold. Now, Kelce is sharing how the two fell in love, despite the media frenzy that has followed the famous couple's every move."Whenever Im with her, it feels like were just regular people," the NFL star told GQ. "When there is not a camera on us, were just two people that are in love. It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that its as normal of. It happened very organically even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked. It still happened very organically.""Nothing Ive ever done has been a controlled, organized process. When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f--- off."TAYLOR SWIFT ANNOUNCES TS12 ALBUM THE LIFE OF A SHOWGIRL ON TRAVIS KELCE PODCASTWatching Swift over the past two years led Kelce to believe the two actually have a lot in common."I hadnt experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions," he explained to the outlet. "That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But Ive seen what she goes through. Ive seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and its mind-blowing.""To go out on a stage, on a computer, essentially, for three hours. The [Eras Tour] floor is literally Ive seen underneath that thing. It is a football-field-sized computer. You take that into Singapore, where it is scorching hot, and all of a sudden youre feeling the fumes from the computer and youre feeling the fumes from the sun and youre doing a show for three hours with a lot of energy, bringing it every single song. That is arguably more exhausting than how much I put in on a Sunday, and shes doing it three, four, five days in a row."For Kelce, Swift has the morals and values he's always looked for in a partner. Some even mirror the values of his mom, Donna Kelce."Their kindness, their genuineness, their ability to say hello to everyone in the room," the football star listed when asked what the two share specifically. "Their ability to show love and support no matter what. And on top of that, their work ethic. I saw my mother reach goals that she had set for herself, go from being a teller to working all the way up in the KeyBank building.""Ive seen Taylor do the exact same thing of setting goals for herself and exceeding the expectations and really captivating the world in that regard."Swift and Kelce first sparked romance rumors in September 2023 after Swift appeared at one of Travis' NFL games with his family. Shortly before, Travis had tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at one of her concerts."This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as h---," she told TIME in 2023. "We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which Im grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.""When you say a relationship is public, that means Im going to see him do what he loves, were showing up for each other, other people are there and we dont care," Swift added. "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that youre seeing someone. And were just proud of each other."LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSThe couple instantly had to deal with a level of fame that was likely normal for Swift, but not for Kelce. The NFL superstar was now dealing with paparazzi at his home in Kansas City along with constant speculation on the couple's relationship status."Ive never dealt with it," he told The Wall Street Journal. "But at the same time, I'm not running away from any of it ... The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and shes just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that, I better not be the one acting all strange."At the time, Kelce admitted getting to know Swift was "mind-blowing.""Ive never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f------ mind-blowing. Im learning every day."As their relationship has grown, Swift and Kelce have continued to support each other over the past two years, with the NFL star attending multiple concerts of the pop star's billion-dollar "Eras Tour." Kelce even appeared on stage during one of Swift's tour stops in London.Swift has also made an appearance at both of Kelce's Super Bowl games in the last two years.
