WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJimmy Kimmel admits 'repulsive' liberal scolds are driving people away from the Democratic PartyLate-night host Jimmy Kimmel admitted "repulsive" liberal voices are scaring people away from the Democratic Party during an appearance on the "Sarah Silverman Podcast" on Thursday. The comedians discussed cancel culture persisting on the left since President Donald Trump returned to office. They criticized those who continue to shun Trump voters who are now expressing regret for supporting the president.Silverman brought up how podcast host Joe Rogan has been attacked online for criticizing Trump's second term after supporting him in the 2024 election. She called it "ironic" that the party of "inclusivity" was "incredibly elitist."Anti-Trump Kimmel, who campaigned for Democrats in the 2024 election, defended his party while agreeing that some progressive figures have turned people away.TRUMP REPEATS CLAIM KIMMEL, FALLON ARE 'NEXT' AFTER STEPHEN COLBERT CANCELLATION"Yes. But it's not- it's not the party. It's not the majority. It's the loudvoices that scare people from saying what they believe and make you think twiceabout a joke or whatever," he responded."You know, a lot of their points are valid, but a lot ofthem are also just repulsive, in that they repel people," Kimmel continued. "They go like, 'Oh, you're nofun. I don't want to be around you.' And I think that if you had to boil it down to one thing, that's kind of whatit is."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREIn April, Kimmel blamed humorless liberal scolds trying to cancel comedians for Trump's rise to power."I think a lot of the outrage is completely manufactured, and its like, a lot of these people who are angry arent really angry. I think these liberals whove done such a good job of viciously attacking comedians are a big part of the reason why Trump is the president right now," he said. After "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert's show was canceled in July, Trump predicted this week that Kimmel and fellow late-night host Jimmy Fallon would be "next" to go off the air.0 Comments 0 Shares 26 Views 0 Reviews

Cause if he was out there not going in yall would be on his (butt) about it! So give credit and grace lames."Sanders' father, Deion Sanders, celebrated his son's successful first preseason game in multiple posts on X."Yes Lawd! Yes @ShedeurSanders," Deion posted on X after the first touchdown.AARON RODGERS OFFERS OLIVE BRANCH TO TERRY BRADSHAW AFTER LEGENDARY QB'S HARSH WORDSAfter the second touchdown, the elder Sanders posted "oh yeah what now!" and "God is so good!"The rookie got the start for the Browns' first preseason game due to injuries to quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel despite a tumultuous first few months as a pro.Sanders fell to the 144th pick in the NFL Draft this spring after scouts raised character concerns. He was previously considered a contender for the first overall pick but slipped past the first four rounds in one of the most shocking draft slides in NFL history, prompting confusion and debate by many NFL fans.Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam even suggested while speaking to reporters last month that the team had no intention of drafting Sanders after the controversial quarterback shockingly fell out of the third round April 25."If you had told me Friday night [Day 2 of the NFL Draft], driving home, Yall are gonna pick Shedeur, I would have said, Thats not happening," Haslam said Tuesday. "But we had a conversation early that morning [Day 3], and we had a conversation later that day, and we had the right people involved in that conversation."Sanders' time with the Browns has already involved controversy after he was twice cited for speeding.Sanders was first ticketed for allegedly driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Two weeks later, he allegedly hit 101 mph in a 60 mph zone and failed to appear in court. The rookie quarterback addressed those traffic tickets while appearing at teammate David Njokus charity softball game last month."I made some wrong choices personally, and I can own up to them," Sanders said. "I made some, you know, not great choices I learned."Browns general manager Andrew Berry criticized Sanders for the incidents last month."Not smart. Just not smart," Berry told reporters this week about the tickets. "Its something that weve addressed with him. Look, he understands the implications. He understands the consequences. Its not just about yourself. Its not just about having a joyride, but that you could injure other people. A deer or something cuts in front of you, your reaction time, its just dangerous."After his impressive preseason debut, Sanders is the talk of the league.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X,and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Comments 0 Shares 27 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJudge blocks Beto O'Rourke from funding Texas Dems who fled to stop GOP redistricting voteA Texas judge ruled Friday against Beto ORourke and his nonprofit in a case brought by state Attorney General Ken Paxton, who accused them of illegally raising funds to support Democratic lawmakers fleeing the state to block GOP redistricting legislation.Tarrant County District Judge Megan Fahey handed down a temporary restraining order Friday evening against O'Rourke, a former congressman and Democratic presidential candidate, and his group, Powered by People, over alleged "unlawful fundraising practices" tied to efforts to support Texas Democrats who fled the state including funding air travel, lodging, logistics and daily fines."Defendants have and will continue to engage in unlawful fundraising practices and utilization of political funds in a manner that either directly violates or causes Texas Democratic Legislators to violate [the law]," Fahey wrote in her Friday evening ruling. "Consumer have and continue to suffer irreparable harm through these unlawful acts because they are making political contributions that are being used to fund personal expenses and violate state law."BETO O'ROURKE ASKED POINT BLANK WHY HE'S HELPING DEMS FLEE TEXAS RATHER THAN HELPING TEXANSFahey's order bars O'Rourke or his group from continuing to fundraise or provide financial support to the fleeing Texas Democrats. The ruling came only hours after Paxton's office filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against O'Rourke.Fahey is a Republican, and she was appointed by GOP Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott in 2019.In response to the ruling, O'Rourke put out a statement arguing that Paxton is trying to shut down his nonprofit "because our volunteers fight for voting rights and free elections," which he called "the kind of work that threatens the hold that Paxton, Trump, and Abbott have on power in Texas."GEORGE SOROS, BETO O'ROURKE BEHIND FUNDING FOR DEMS FLEEING TEXAS OVER GOP CONGRESSIONAL MAP"They want to make examples out of those who fight so that others won't," O'Rourke added. "Now Paxtons filed a restraining order to try to take us out of the fight. He wants to silence me and stop me from leading this organization. He wants to stop us from fighting Trumps attempt to steal the five congressional seats he needs to hang on to power. But Im not going anywhere. I plan on speaking at our rally to stop the power grab in Fort Worth tomorrow afternoon.""Cry more, lib," Paxton said in response to O'Rourke's statement. "You lost in court because you're breaking the law and deceiving Texans. We absolutely will make an example out of law breakers."In addition to Powered By People, Paxton also launched an investigation into the Texas Majority PAC, which has also been accused of being a major funder of the fleeing Texas Democrats.Meanwhile, O'Rourke filed his own lawsuit against Paxton in El Paso district court on Friday, The Texas Tribune reported.
