WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMichelle Obama celebrates Barack as coolest guy on his birthday after the pair joked about divorce rumorsFormer first lady Michelle Obama praised former President Barack Obama as her "everything" and the "coolest guy I know" on his 64th birthday after the longtime couple joked about divorce rumors that have been swirling for months."Happy birthday to my love, my best friend, my everything! @BarackObama, even after all these years, youre still the coolest guy I know," the former first lady posted to Instagram Monday afternoon, accompanied by a photo of the pair. The former president turned 64 Monday, with the former first lady sharing the birthday post on both Instagram and Facebook. Michelle Obama's birthday message followed months of speculation that the couple's more than 30-year marriage was on the rocks before the couple joked about the rumors during a July podcast."It's my husband, ya'll!" Michelle Obama said jokingly at the start of a podcast of "IMO" in July when the former president first joined the set. "When we aren't (in the same room), folks think we're divorced."The former first lady hosts "IMO" with her brother Craig Robinson.BARACK, MICHELLE OBAMA JOKINGLY DISPEL DIVORCE RUMORS ON FORMER FIRST LADY'S PODCAST"She took me back!" Barack Obama quipped during his appearance, joking, "It was touch and go for a while."Speculation had mounted for months that the presidential couple was headed to divorce, which heightened in January when the former first lady did not attend high-profile events such as President Donald Trump's inauguration or President Jimmy Carter's funeral.MICHELLE OBAMA'S PODCAST PUTS HER IN LIMELIGHT IN NEW TRUMP ERA, BUT SHE'S NOT COMING TO DEMOCRATS' RESCUE"There hasn't been one moment in our marriage where I've thought about quitting my man," Michelle Obama said during an "IMO" podcast in July. "We've had some really hard times. We've had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I'm married to.""Don't make me cry now," Barack said. "Don't let me start tearing up now."Michelle previously had dismissed divorce rumors, including in April when she addressed questions as to why she did not join the 44th president at Trump's inauguration or Carter's funeral."But the interesting thing is that when I say no, for the most part, people are like, I get it, and I'm OK,' right?" she told podcast host Sophia Bush in April about how she spends her time. "And that's the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with, like disappointing people. I mean so much so that this year people were, they couldn't even fathom that I was making a choice for myself, that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing, you know? This couldn't be a grown woman just making a set of decisions herself, right? But that's what society does to us."MICHELLE OBAMA MOCKS RUMORS THAT HER MARRIAGE IS IN TROUBLE"If it doesn't fit into the sort of stereotype of what people think we should do, then it gets labeled as something negative and horrible," Obama continued.Fox News Digital reached out to Michelle Obama's office for any additional comment Tuesday morning but did not immediately receive a reply.Fox News Digital's David Rutz and Hannah Panreck contributed to this report.0 Comments 0 Shares 16 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMChip and Joanna Gaines try something new in their marriage after 25 yearsChip and Joanna Gaines have stepped up their fitness game.During a recent appearance on the "Stronger" podcast hosted by Don Saladino, the couple discussed how they started working out together, with Joanna sharing that it's "crazy" that they had "known each other for almost 25 years" and had "never once worked out together.""I think I started thinking, How in the world have we never worked out? We never even talked about it. I mean, he trained for a marathon, but I was pregnant," she said. "We have never talked about Oh, let's do this fitness thing together. Lets do this.' We've never had that conversation."Chip echoed his wife's statements, adding that in their 25 years together, "you think at some point that thought would have been introduced to our ecosystem."CHIP AND JOANNA GAINES' MAGNOLIA NETWORK BACKLASH PUTS HOME RENOVATION STAR IN HOT SEAT"I would take on an assignment, whatever the assignment would be, and same with you, then I would be like, 'I want to do that, let's do that together,' but it was my thing, and you supported me through the whole thing," he said. "I remember we had to modify the food that I was eating, or I tweaked my ankle and you were so helpful through the whole thing, but it's not like we started going on long jogs together."It all changed when Joanna reached out to Saladino, who, aside from podcasting, is also known for his work as a fitness entrepreneur and coach who has trained celebrities and athletes.Joanna recalled knowing she needed to invest more time in her wellness routine, and that she "needed like a kick in the butt" to get her going."This year, seeing our parents, especially like my dad, he just actually had a knee surgery, knee replacement surgery on Friday, a hip replacement a couple of months before," she said. "Just watching my parents, I keep thinking, OK, Im now at the age where I need to choose.' It's no longer 'Oh, I hope I'm healthy for a long time,' I actually have to start doing something actively and intentionally."LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSThe former HGTV star first shared that she and her husband began working out with Saladino in a January 2025 Instagram post which featured a video of her doing push-ups and other exercises in the gym.In the caption, Joanna shared that she and Chip made the decision to start working out together "for the first time in our marriage" back in September. She recalled not being able to do even one push-up on the first day due to a back injury she sustained while in college."A few months in and I've never felt stronger," she wrote. "Today I did FIFTY push-ups! So I'm celebrating and putting this out there... I've let time, age, injury, and busyness be my excuse of why not to workout. I'm finally over the 'it's too hard' hump and I'm ready to go! Who's with me?!"When speaking with Saladino on the podcast, the two opened up about how the most difficult part of exercising as an adult is comparing yourself to your younger self. Joanna admitted to being motivated by the idea of getting back to the way she looked as a teenager, but that working with Saladino has helped her focus on "forward motion."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTERChip agreed the comparison to his younger self can be challenging, especially when struggling to do something that used to be easy for him."I was just naturally gifted in all these things, and once it became a challenge to do them, I got worse and worse at it, which is not great, because if you can only do it when it comes easy to you then it's not really a thing. It's not really a gift or a talent. It's when it's hard that you then still show up," he said.0 Comments 0 Shares 19 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMGargantuan bird cemeteries in Burgums crosshairs as DOI looks to curb green wind projectsThe Interior Department looks to curb massive, unreliable and environmentally-damaging energy projects, citing wind and solar, per a new order from Secretary Doug Burgum that takes aim at what President Donald Trump has called "bird cemeteries."In the order obtained by Fox News Digital, Burgum uses what he described as an "objective, technology-neutral" formula called capacity density that analyzes how much space an energy installation takes up and its effect on the area around it in relation to its output and reliability.Burgum said Trump has asked his agency to consider that calculus to determine if a project will provide more energy benefits than impacts to its surroundings which the agency determined puts scrutiny on solar and wind."Gargantuan, unreliable, intermittent energy projects hold America back from achieving U.S. energy dominance while weighing heavily on the American taxpayer and environment," Burgum told Fox News Digital.'HOMELAND WOULD'VE BEEN STOLEN': AK NATIVES SOUND OFF ON BIDEN ENERGY BANS AS TRUMP OFFICIALS TOUR TUNDRA"By considering energy generation optimization, the department will be able to better manage our federal lands, minimize environmental impact, and maximize energy development to further President Donald Trumps energy goals.""This commonsense order ensures our nation is stronger, our land use is optimized, and the American people are properly informed," he added. The U.S. Energy Information Administration utilized capacity density to determine that an advanced nuclear energy plant produces 33 megawatts (MW) per acre compared to an offshore windmill installation producing 0.006 MW/acre making the nuke plant 5,500 times more efficient than an entire wind farm.In his order, Burgum highlighted the national security repercussions of an insufficient domestic energy production framework, and criticized "artificially stimulated" wind and solar energy projects in recent years.AK LAWMAKERS CLAIM VICTORY AS FEDS BEGIN REVERSAL OF ILLEGAL BIDEN RULE RESTRICTING ANWR OIL AND GAS"Such proliferation has displaced dispatchable energy sources and destabilized our electric grid," he said.During a 2019 speech, Trump lambasted wind energy projects that lead to undue killing of birds and other wildlife.Trump noted that it is a potentially felonious federal crime for a human to kill a single bald eagle, but that windmills likely have killed "hundreds" without repercussions.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPWind power installations are "like a graveyard for birds. If you love birds, youd never want to walk under a windmill because its a very sad, sad sight. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSTEVE HILTON: Why I'm launching a legal war against California Democrats' unconstitutional power grabCalifornia Democrats are once again trying to rig the system, overturn elections and steal congressional seats from Republicans. Gov. Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta are planning to redraw Californias congressional maps in 2025 or 2026, halfway through the decade and years before the next census. This isnt about "fairness" or "democracy." Its a blatant, unconstitutional power grab designed to silence millions of voters and cement one-party rule in California.Democrats are already trying to rewrite the history of this redistricting fight, claiming it's just retaliation for Republican maps in Texas. But lets be clear: California started this. The last redistricting cycle was corrupted by partisan operatives who rigged Californias so-called "independent" Citizens Redistricting Commission to deliver a gerrymandered map. Republicans received 40% of the vote for Congress in 2022 but just 17% of the seats. Now, rather than wait for the next census as required by law, Newsom and Bonta are pushing to redraw the maps mid-decade to squeeze out even more unfair representation for their party.Im not going to let it happen. I will fight this in the courts and in the court of public opinion because California belongs to all of us, not just the Democrat elites trying to cling to power.'ALL-OUT WAR': FLEEING TEXAS DEMS SIDE WITH NEWSOM AS REDISTRICTING STANDOFF CONTINUES: 'FIRE WITH FIRE'Its obviously wrong to redraw maps without another population count. Since the last census, millions have fled California, driven out by COVID lockdowns, high taxes, and unaffordable housing. Add to that the devastation of wildfires like the 2025 Los Angeles inferno that destroyed entire communities. Where did all those people go? Gavin Newsom doesnt know and doesnt care. He wants to redraw the maps anyway.California lost a congressional seat in 2020 for the first time in our history and weve seen a further net population loss of nearly 500,000 more since then. Redistricting must reflect these realities. Thats just common sense. But its not just obviously wrong to redraw maps without a census, its illegal.Article 21 of the California Constitution is crystal clear: redistricting happens once per decade, in the year after the national census. That was the law before voters approved the Citizens Redistricting Commission, and it was re-stated afterwards. In fact, the California Supreme Court already ruled on this exact issue. In Legislature v. Deukmejian, the Court said redistricting is a once-a-decade process, tied directly to the census. A rushed redistricting scheme, five years after the last census, would blatantly violate the state Constitution. You cant just ignore the rules when they dont benefit your party.AWOL TEXAS DEMS THREATENED WITH EXPULSION, FELONY CHARGES FOR ABSENCE AMID REDISTRICTING BATTLENewsom and Bonta have an answer to that: their power-grab scheme includes a rushed "special election" to overturn Article 21 of the state constitution, seize power from the Citizens Redistricting Commission, and redraw maps to steal five congressional seats from Republicans. But heres the flaw in their plan. Its not just Article 21 of the state constitution they would be violating. In fact its not even just Californias Constitution. The Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees every citizen equal protection under the law, including equal representation. That principle was reaffirmed in Reynolds v. Sims, a landmark Supreme Court case that held all legislative districts must have roughly equal populations. The federal equal protection clause is also mirrored in Californias state constitution, in Article 1.SCHWARZENEGGER PUSHING BACK AGAINST NEWSOM REDISTRICTING BID IN CALIFORNIAWithout a new census, theres no way to ensure that the equal protection standard -- that legislative districts must have roughly equal populations -- is met. Any redistricting done now would be based on guesswork, not facts. So heres what I will do. If Newsom and Bonta move forward with their illegal scheme, I will mount a two-pronged legal challenge. First, we will file a case in state court to stop the plan under Californias constitution and long-standing legal precedent. At the same time, well take the fight to federal court, arguing that their actions violate the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution and Supreme Court precedent. Well use every legal tool available to stop this outrageous attempt to gerrymander California still further in Democrats favor. For all their endless lectures on "protecting our democracy," Democrats really only care about preserving their power. The last round of redistricting in California was supposed to be nonpartisan, handled by the Citizens Redistricting Commission. But left-wing pressure groups hijacked the process, pushing vague standards like "communities of interest" to justify partisan gerrymandering. Thats why Republicans have just 17% of House districts for roughly 40% of the statewide vote.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONNow they want to take it even further, cutting Republican congressional representation to just 7% even though millions of Californians vote Republican. Thats not "democracy." Thats rigging the system. If we had fair representation in California, Republicans would have an additional 12 House seats. And the Democrat "super-majority" in the state legislature -- which has enabled them to pass ultra-left extreme legislation for over a decade -- would disappear. We dont have to put up with these Democrat assaults on our democracy. Ive already proposed reforms to make redistricting truly fair and nonpartisan. That includes using artificial intelligence to draw maps based on neutral criteria like compactness and city and county boundaries instead of vague standards that enable gerrymandering.I will not let Newsom and Bonta silence the voices of millions of Californians for their own partisan and personal ends.I will fight this every step of the way with action, with urgency, and with the full force of the law behind us. And when Im governor, I will reverse the Democrat gerrymander and ensure fair representation for everyone in California.Republican Steve Hilton is a candidate for governor of California. He previously served as senior policy and strategy advisor to former U.K. prime minister David Cameron. He is a former host of "The Next Revolution" on Fox News.0 Comments 0 Shares 10 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMUS crime dropped widely in 2024, FBI says with some notable caveatsU.S. crime rates dropped significantly in every major category in 2024, according to a new report released by the FBI on Tuesday with measurable drops in violent crime, robberies, assaults and robberies with a firearm, and other major categories. The numbers were part of the FBIs annual Unified Crime Report, a report released by the bureau each year. And despite the overwhelmingly positive findings, the report did underscore a sobering uptick in attacks on law enforcement officers in the line of duty over the last four years. This year's report used data shared by roughly16,675 law enforcement agencies across the U.S., accounting for nearly 96% of U.S. residents, the FBI said. The majority of the trends from the new report were positive. Violent crime decreased by 4.5% in 2024 compared to the previous 12-month period, the report found the second consecutive annual decline measured in the bureau's annual report.SUPREME COURT FREEZES ORDER TO RETURN MAN FROM EL SALVADOR PRISONIn 2024, the U.S. saw a nearly 15% decline in murder and manslaughter rates compared to 2023, the FBI said, down to the lowest amount in roughly nine years.Meanwhile, the U.S. also saw a 5.2% decrease in rapes and a 3% drop in aggravated assaults in 2024.Property crime also dropped by roughly 8% during the same 12-month period a big decline compared to 2023, which saw a much smaller 2.4% decrease compared to the previous year.Burglaries were down 8.6%, and motor vehicle theft dropped by a whopping 18% in 2024.Hate crimes also saw a small decline in 2024, the report found.OPINION: AMERICAS CRIME DROP ISNT A COINCIDENCE. TRUMPS IMMIGRATION POLICIES ARE WORKINGStill, the report included some sobering statistics, including an uptick in the number of law enforcement officers killed and the number of hate crimes against Jewish individuals. The FBI report found that during the four-year period from 2021 to 2024, 258 law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty the highest four-year trend in some 20 years.Of the 258 law enforcement officers killed, 64 were killed in 2024, the FBI report found.Reported attacks and assaults, including aggravated and simple assault offenses, also saw a 10-year high with 85,730 officers assaulted in the line of duty. The FBI report also revealed an uptick in reported hate crimes against Jewish individuals, with 1,938 such crimes reported in the 12-month period a 5.8% increase from 2023. That's the highest number recorded by the FBI since its annual data collection began in 1991, according to the ADL.Roughly 1,221,345 violent crime offenses were committed in 2024, the FBI report said, while an estimated 419,423 arrests for violent crime offenses were made during the same 12-month period.Still, much work remains for the bureau: According to its estimates, violent crime in the U.S. occurred on average every 25.9 seconds in 2024, with a murder occurring roughly every 31 minutes.AMERICAN CAR THEFTS SURGE AS TEENAGE BANDITS, INTERNATIONAL CRIME RINGS SHIP STOLEN VEHICLES OVERSEASThe FBI's data, while imperfect, accounts for more than 95% of U.S. residents, according to the 2024 report. It comes after the bureau struggled in recent years including in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to accurately compile the aggregate annual crime data. This was in large part due to the bureau's transition to the newer, National Incident-Based Reporting System it adopted in 2022. Many local police agencies had failed to transition to the new incident reporting in time, prompting the FBI's 2021-2022 report to reflect an incomplete data set, which was later adjusted by the bureau.0 Comments 0 Shares 10 Views 0 Reviews
