Anti-Trump voices praise Charlie Kirk's legacy after assassination, say he was doing politics 'the right way'
Multiple media outlets and liberal journalists who often criticized the conservative views of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk offered sincere condolences and praise for the influential conservative activist following his assassination on a Utah university campus on Wednesday.Outlets including The Washington Post and prominent liberal voices like CNN chief media analyst Brian Stelter denounced Kirks assassination, offered words of comfort for his family and acknowledged his talent and influence over American politics."Kirk, 31, was a hugely successful political field organizer, TikTok influencer, radio host, nonprofit leader and public speaker all rolled up in one telegenic figure," Stelter wrote in a CNN article published Wednesday.COMPLETE COVERAGE OF CHARLIE KIRKKirk was shot and killed Wednesday during the opening event of Turning Point's "The American Comeback Tour," held at Utah Valley University.
