Both are still receiving treatment for physical and psychological trauma."When I felt my ribs all broke up, all I tried to do was get out of the line of fire because there was a lot of shrapnel just flying all over the bleachers," Dutch told Fox News Digital. He and his friend responded: "We can do that."Since the shooting, Copenhaver has not been able to lay on his stomach for a year, and he has trouble walking up and down stairs. His wife and son have dedicated much of their own time to helping him. Dutch cant do home maintenance work like he used to; even mowing the lawn takes days because he has to take frequent breaks.The two men have been surrounded by conspiracy theories about the rally and why it happened; they even email each other some of the more wild takes they see on social media, but neither of them give much air to the theories. They are more focused on their recoveries, spending time with family, and living life after coming so close to death."I would like to spend more time with my grandchildren. And get to a point where if I want to throw a ball or something like that with them, I can," Copenhaver said.SECRET SERVICE BOSS SAYS VITAL INFO NOT RELAYED OVER RADIO, DELAYING RESPONSE TO WOULD-BE RALLY ASSASSINHe also wants to get back to riding his motorcycle, which he began riding in 1969, and he hasn't been back on his bike since being shot.Dutch said he just wants to "get back to healthy.""I try to remind everybody, you never know when your time's gonna come, so don't dwell in the past, and don't live your life just to go to work and come home and go to work and come home. It's too short. Go out there and live life. A rock climbing outing turned fatal for one National Park visitor after authorities say a fall resulted in his death. Officials with the National Park Service confirmed that Brian Astle, 42, of Provo, UT fell while descending a steep, off-trail climbing route from the west face of Mount Gould inside Glacier National Park on Wednesday.The accident happened just before 6 p.m. on July 9, when Glacier National Park Dispatch received a report of an individual who had fallen from Mount Gould above the Highline Trail.Park rangers worked with aerial search and rescue crews to locate Astle. A Texas man was arrested Thursday after allegedly making violent threats against President Donald Trump on Facebook ahead of the presidents visit to Kerrville, according to federal officials.Robert Herrera, 52, of San Antonio, was charged with making threats against the president and interstate threatening communications, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Western District of Texas.The alleged threats were posted on a local news outlets Facebook page discussing Trumps upcoming visit to the Hill Country after deadly Fourth of July flooding. The outlet has not been publicly identified by law enforcement.MAN BUSTED WITH ANTI-GOVERNMENT, ANTI-TRUMP DOCUMENTS AFTER TEXAS ICE AMBUSH SUSPECT PHONE CALL, FEDS SAYAccording to a Department of Justice release, Herrera, using the name "Robert Herrer," allegedly posted the phrase "I wont miss" beneath a photo of Trump surrounded by Secret Service agents after the July 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.When another user responded, "you wont get the chance, I promise," Herrera allegedly replied, "Ill just come for you," attaching a photo of himself holding what appeared to be a rifle and loaded magazines.The posts have since been removed, and federal agents arrested Herrera later that day. Pennsylvania officials reported statewide issues Friday with the state's 911 system."Pennsylvania is experiencing a statewide intermittent 911 outage," the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) said in an alert Friday. "Individuals experiencing issues contacting 911 are asked to contact their local 911 center on their non-emergency lines. Check your (county's) social media and website for more information."Randy Padfield, director of PEMA, stressed at a news conference that the issues were intermittent and began around 2 p.m. when some calls failed to be delivered.PEMAs 911 team began investigating the issue immediately to "identify the root cause of the issue as a standard practice," Padfield said.OUTDATED 911 SYSTEM NEEDS AN UPDATE TO PREVENT CYBERATTACK, EXPERT WARNSA conference bridge line was established between all public safety answering points, he said. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), with support from the U.S. and Israel, has distributed some 70 million meals to Gazans since May. But its aid distribution system has been under consistent attack from Hamas and from some unlikely quarters the world's leading aid groups.Earlier this month, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini called for the "end to the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) since it provides nothing but starvation and gunfire to the people of Gaza." He went on to call it an "abomination."His statement noted that 230 NGOs, including Amnesty International, Oxfam International, Norwegian Refugee Council and Save the Children signed their names to an open letter criticizing GHF while urging a return to the U.N.-led aid distribution model.US-BACKED GAZA AID GROUP LAUNCHES BOLD NEW SYSTEM TO DELIVER FOOD DIRECTLY TO FAMILIESCritics say UNRWA's ties to Hamas have put its very existence at risk, especially given the success of the GHF operation.Gerald Steinberg, the founder and president of NGO Monitor, told Fox News Digital these groups include "anti-Israel superpowers" with "massive PR budgets and dedicated staffs and are able to promote their attacks on GHF widely."Steinberg claimed that GHF has already demonstrated "that aid to Gaza can be provided without relying on the old corrupt billion-dollar aid industry led by U.N. agencies like UNRWA and the NGOs that are allied with Hamas."Steinberg said the number of signatories to the letter has grown to more than 230 as the "powerful NGO network is fighting back and making false accusations in an all-out political effort to force Israel and other donors to end the GHF operation."AMERICAN VETERANS ATTACKED, INJURED WHILE DISTRIBUTING AID IN GAZA WITH US-BACKED GROUPGHF interim Executive Director John Acree said he has no enmity for the NGO signatories of the letter."They write papers and letters and sign documents, and yet were doing it," Acree said. He implored the groups to "please, come. Come and help us."Acree says GHF reached out to other aid groups "daily" to ask for support. In some cases, humanitarian workers have entered discussions that "were hoping will eventually lead to partnerships and implementation."Since May, GHF has faced numerous criticisms about its operations, including accusations that Gazans have been killed and injured at distribution sites.In response to Fox News Digitals questions about Lazzarinis remarks, an UNRWA spokesperson emphasized that "UNRWA, like the rest of the U.N., has repeatedly condemned the current aid distribution system in Gaza," which it says "is costing more lives than it saves."UNRWA alleged that "800 starving people have been reported killed since this scheme started operating on the 28th of May," adding that "instead of orderly food distribution, this system brings dehumanization, chaos and death."Lazzarini once again went on X to condemn the U.S.-backed aid mechanism, claiming that "a functioning system was replaced with a deadly scam to force the displacement of people+ deepen the collective punishment of the Palestinians in Gaza."AMERICAN VICTIMS OF TERRORISM COULD SOON SUE INTERNATIONAL ORGS IF CRUZ'S BILL PASSESGHF released a statement Friday as the war of words continued."These false and misleading stats come directly from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry," the statement said. "The U.N.s reliance and coordination with a terrorist organization to falsely smear our effort is not only disturbing but should be investigated by the international community."Hamas has responded violently to GHFs arrival on the aid scene. Acree said that GHFs operation "is going against [Hamas] system of stealing foreign aid, of controlling the market prices, of basically robbing the Palestinians that live in Gaza of their livelihoods and their economic welfare, and were breaking that."So far, 12 Palestinian GHF staff members have been killed and possibly submitted to "summary execution" on June 11. On July 5, two "highly decorated" U.S. veterans working with GHF were harmed in a grenade attack at a GHF distribution site.Acree said that GHF is evolving. The organization "did not expect the desperation" it encountered."Weve been told by the Gazans this is the first time theyve ever received free aid or food, and theyve had to pay for it up til now," he said. To counter that desperation, Acree said that GHF is "taking measures now to help tap that tension and to help them understand that were there to help and relieve that hunger."He said the group still needs "more aid. We still need a lot more help," which includes partnerships with the U.N. and NGOs.The U.S. Agency for Infrastructure and Development has given $30 million to the GHF. Two sources who spoke to Reuters said the U.S. may approve $30 million per month in grants to the GHF in the future.
