WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWhy 62% of young Americans are falling for 'pop Marxism'The major election year 2026 kicks off with a new mayor taking over GothamonJan. 1. From Sacramento to Minneapolis to New York, some candidates are peddling Karl Marx. The most glaring example isZohranMamdani, who pledges innumerable freebiesandhascalledfor "seizing the means of production."What are we to make of this"popMarxism"?What is its appeal? It is "pop" in two senses of the word.It ispopularin that it is shallow while presenting as novelandexciting. It ispopulistin a braying pretense of familiarity, its calls for costless gratificationandits gratuitous attacksonthe status quo.Underneath the pop lies a dangerous ideology. Call itMarxism, socialism or communism they aim for the same result. Marxandhis disciples foresaw an "inevitable" future, prophesying that democratic capitalism would give way to statist socialism, followed by full-blown communism.IM FROM GEN Z. WE ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE TO STOP SOCIALISM FROM TAKING OVERIn the first step, the unaccountable, indomitable administrative state takes control of all aspects of economic life.Allaspects: what type of work you will be allowed to do, where you shopandwhat you shop for, where you live, whether you receive an inheritance or it is redistributed to the faithful, anda thousand other economic matters.Andthat is just phaseone. Communism, the second step, means totalitarian control over not just where you goandwhat you do, but what you thinkandbelieve. Schoolsanduniversities, therefore, are the epicenters of indoctrination. Many seem to have done their job. In asurveyearlier this year, 62% of young Americans have a positive view of "socialism,"the ideology that murdered 100 million people at the hands of Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro, Maoandothers.NYC'S SHOCKING SOCIALIST VICTORY IS A DIRE WARNING FOR THE RIGHTAgain, what is the appeal?Young Americans are not poor, hungry, or oppressed, rather extremely well-off by historicalandcontemporary standards. Gens YandZ are, to put it plainly, privileged, andyet seduced byMarxism. Two things conspire to delude them: revisionist educationandinappropriate guilt. The first problem is flimsy, ideologically-driven history education. Each year, many high school classrooms barely make it to World War II. Then, exhausted teachers skip over the Cold War, the crimes of communism, the heroic tales of resistance, andthe vigilance of the Western democracies to end the school term with their preferred version of "current events," such as the purported bravery of eco-terrorists.NEW YORK'S SOCIALIST NIGHTMARE IS JUST BEGINNING BUT THERE'S STILL A WAY OUTAt the same time, the curriculum young people receive from grade schoolonup has been ideologically reconstructed. They were taught to view all of history through the neo-Marxist lens ofoppressorvs.oppressed.U.S. historyandliterature are framed around race, genderandwage slavery. America is guilty of exploitationanddomination.Second, popMarxismperpetuates a twisted sense ofguilt. They have been lectured that their blessings were not earned by their grandparentsandparents, but, rather, stolen from the underprivileged. The Greatest Generation? White men advancing Americas imperial agenda. The same for Cold Warriors from Berlin to South Korea. Americas wealth is ill-gotten, not the fruit of a free society that has encouraged innovation from Benjamin FranklinandThomas Edison to Carver, Einstein, Copland, Salk, Gates, JobsandMusk.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONHere is the great irony: these young people simultaneously hold anti-institutional viewsanda gross sense of entitlement. They call for a revolution against corporationsandslow-moving government institutions but demand a subsidized first-world lifestyle. They want benefits without workandsecurity without responsibility. After all, doesnt equality mean free health care, free college, free transportationandguaranteed incomes? Then again, what have we taught them? They learned from the COVID lockdowns that money rolls off the states printing press, citizens could be paid to lounge at home, andpassing grades were "earned" just for showing uponZoom.Losing a majority of young Americans topopMarxismis not just unacceptable, it is dangerous.PopMarxisms leaders are rabidly political, andtheir young followers can get caught up in the destructive idealism of the moment. In contrast, todays silent majority of young adults is far less political, being concerned with earning an education, starting a family, andresponsibly paying his or her way. With 2026 being both an election yearandthe 250thanniversary of our nations birth, it is an appropriate time to be grateful for our blessings, tell the truth about American history, recommit to our founding principles of ordered liberty, andconfront the lies of communism.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE BY ERIC PATTERSON0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 2 Views 0 ΠροεπισκόπησηΠαρακαλούμε συνδέσου στην Κοινότητά μας για να δηλώσεις τι σου αρέσει, να σχολιάσεις και να μοιραστείς με τους φίλους σου!

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMedia taps Twitch star who told viewers to 'kill' Republicans for comment on Charlie Kirks assassinationSeveral mainstream media outlets platformed pro-communist commentator Hasan Piker, who has previously called for people to be "killed" on Twitch, to weigh in on the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk from a left-wing perspective.Piker had been scheduled to debate Kirk at Dartmouth College later this month, but Kirk was shot and killed last week during a campus event at Utah Valley University. The two had debated multiple times before at Politicon events. In the days following Kirks death, outlets including Vanity Fair, Politico and The New York Times interviewed Piker for his reaction and what the tragic killing might mean for political commentators moving forward. In an interview with Vanity Fair on Friday, Piker was described as "immediately traumatized" after seeing video of Kirk being shot, but he went on to criticize the ways people have begun eulogizing Kirk for whitewashing "the incendiary, explosive, dehumanizing language" that Kirk had used.FAR-LEFT STREAMER HASAN PIKER SUSPENDED FROM TWITCH AFTER BROADCASTING DC SHOOTING SUSPECT'S MANIFESTO"Its just that I think people venerating a person, with what I consider to be a morally repugnant political ideology, is going to have unforeseen secondary consequences, as far as normalization of this ideology," Piker said. "Were seeing that in every aspect of society already, and its very frustrating."Though he criticized Kirk, Piker condemned political violence across all publications, telling Politico on Thursday that he "never advocated for such a thing" and "never would." He added that he feared "political repercussions" in the wake of Kirks death, though did not elaborate on which side."I fear that that is the worst future possible: political repercussions, political persecution on the systemic side against political dissidents and enemies of the state, and decentralized acts of violence on the individual side," Piker told Politico. He went into more detail with The New York Times on Friday, claiming that Republican lawmakers were taking advantage of the "confusion" surrounding the shooters motivation to foment calls for vengeance. "But that confusion, I think, is being utilized by many, including people in positions of power, like the administration and many other prominent Republicans in Congress, to enact some sort of vengeance or political persecution of all political dissidents that have spoken out against either Charlie Kirk, or even the Trump administration," Piker said.CHARLIE KIRK PAINTED AS 'CONTROVERSIAL,' 'PROVOCATIVE' IN MEDIAS ASSASSINATION COVERAGEThe New York Times also ran an opinion piece by Piker on Saturday titled, "I Was Supposed to Debate Charlie Kirk. Heres What I Would Have Said." In it, Piker tied Kirks death to what he described as lax gun laws, civil decline and social challenges linked to capitalism."The social challenges include rising rents and homelessness, the destruction caused by climate change, titanic levels of inequality, and too many others to name here. Our capitalist way of life always accumulating, never evening out leaves more and more people to deal with these problems on their own," Piker wrote. In a comment to Fox News Digital, a New York Times spokesperson defended speaking to Piker as a way to "better understand" Kirk from different perspectives."The Times has published dozens of news articles and Opinion pieces about Charlie Kirk after his assassination to help readers better understand him and this social and political era.Kirk and Hasan Piker had debated each other before, and were about to do it again. They saw value in talking to each other, and they werent afraid to engage in open debate about issues and ideas," the spokesperson said.Fox News Digital also reached out to Vanity Fair and Politico for comment.'CHEERLEADING FOR TERRORISM': TWITCH STAR CALLED FOR NEW 9/11, DISMISSED HORROR OF OCT 7Piker, who has openly supported communism as an "honorable" goal in the past, has a history of using violent language on his Twitch stream against political opponents.Earlier this year, Piker apologized after being suspended from Twitch for urging people to "kill" Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla.,while on a stream."[Republicans are] not tackling providers; they're not actually going after false billing. They are trying to cut recipients. [Fraud] is not happening at the point of recipient. If you cared about Medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott," he said.Across X, videos also resurfaced of Piker using incendiary language to call for bloody massacres of capitalists and Republicans."Yeah kill them! KiII those mother---ers and murder those mother---ers in the streets. Let the streets soak in their f---ing red capitalist blood, dude," Piker said regarding property owners who choose not to rent out empty homes."Left-wingers, liberals, you need to be f---ing showing your opponents guts on there. You need to be gutting them," Piker said in a video presumably following the 2022 Georgia Senate debate.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPFox News Digital reached out to Piker for a comment but did not immediately receive a response.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 2 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMDefining fair play: Why swing-state Democrats are out of step on protecting womens sportsAs we head into the 2026 elections, Democrats in key battleground states are tone-deaf and committing political malpractice as they double down on policies that defy common sense and betray families.Instead of listening to the American people, they are pushing a losing message to allow biological males to compete in womens sports. While most families are worried about putting food on the table, paying for gas and groceries, and keeping their kids safe, Democrats are fixated on defending policies that actively harm our girls. Some try to frame this debate as hate, but the real issue is fair play. Womens athletics were built to allow competition for women and girls on a level playing field based on biological sex. The progress for womens sports earned over decades of sacrifice and hard work is now being erased by a woke ideology that puts politics over facts.Recent polling makes one thing clear: the American people arent buying this. A Gallup poll found nearly 70% of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, believe athletes should compete based on their sex at birth. An NBC News survey showed 75% of adults say biological men should not play in womens sports, with two out of three Gen Z voters agreeing. And a New York Times/Ipsos poll put that number even higher at 79%.COMMON SENSE SAYS WOMEN'S SPORTS ARE FOR WOMEN ONLYTaken together, the message is undeniable: across party lines, the American people overwhelmingly and unequivocally believe men do not belong in womens sports.Yet Democrats like Sen. Jon Ossoff in Georgia, former Sen. Sherrod Brown in Ohio, former Gov. Roy Cooper in North Carolina and Gov. Janet Mills in Maine are operating against the will of the American people in a different reality. They have betrayed their constituents by opposing commonsense measures to protect womens sports, putting themselves directly against the national majority. In Georgia, Ossoff joined Senate Democrats to block theProtection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, even as his own state passed the"Riley Gaines Act"to ban the same practice. He sided with Washington Democrats over Georgia families.Brown in Ohio is even worse. In Washington, he voted to let biological males compete in girls sports. Ohio families rejected his extremism and passed theSAFE Actto protect girls in K12 athletics. Now after being tossed out by voters, Brown has the gall to run again for the Senate. HOW PSYCHIATRY AND ACTIVISM CREATED THE DANGEROUS CONCEPT OF 'TRANSGENDER CHILDREN'Browns record is one of betrayal as he turned his back on Ohio families and pushed a platform that punishes women and girls. Brown must lose if we are to have any chance of protecting womens sports and safeguarding our daughters futures. And North Carolina is no different. As governor, Cooper used his power to veto theFairness in Womens Sports Act, which ensured athletes compete based on their biological sex. Lawmakers overrode his veto, proving just how out of touch Cooper was with his own state. As Cooper tried to block fairness in girls sports, Gov. Mills in Maine went even further by refusing to comply with President Donald Trumps executive order banning biological males from womens sports in federally funded programs. Her defiance put millions in education funding at risk, all to push a radical agenda at the expense of girls safety and opportunity.Adding up Ossoff, Brown, Cooper and Mills, the American people can see that the Democratic Party stands with a fringe ideology that betrays parents, fairness and our women and girls. While Democrats cling to this failing narrative, the rest of the country is moving in the opposite direction, in an all-out protection mode for womens sports.LIA THOMAS WAS ALSO A VICTIM OF UPENNS TRANS LIEPresident Trump led the national movement for commonsense by signing an executive order in February 2025 banning biological males from competing in womens sports in federally funded programs. It was a decisive step that serves as a win for fairness and science, and is a lifeline for female athletes whose dreams and opportunities have been jeopardized. This was also a wake-up call on fairness and a correction of injustice. Major athletic organizations, including the NCAA, are now following President Trumps lead and making significant changes to align with the new federal standard. The updated policy explicitly states that a student-athlete assigned male at birth may not compete on a womens team, replacing the patchwork system they previously had in place.States such as Indiana, Montana and Nebraska are also taking action to protect womens sports. Americans want a commonsense approach that safeguards our values of fairness, opportunity, and protection for women.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThis issue is deeply personal for parents like me across the country. We dont want our daughters who dedicate years to practices, training and sacrifice to lose to biological males with obvious physical advantages. And we certainly dont want them in locker rooms where safety and privacy should be paramount.Legally, this is also about Title IX, the landmark law created to guarantee equal opportunities for women in education and athletics. By ignoring the past discrimination women fought to overcome and the biological realities of sex, Democrats are dismantling the very law they claim to uphold and opening the door for boys to take over girls sports.Today the fight is about fairness and safety. Parents demand their daughters be protected. Athletes deserve a level playing field. Voters want leaders grounded in common sense. Democrats in swing states who refuse to protect girls and womens sports are alienating suburban women, parents and Gen Z voters who overwhelmingly reject boys competing in girls sports. They are abandoning the very voters they need and it will cost them elections. The 2026 midterms will be a moment of truth. Democrats must decide whether to cling to fringe ideology or stand with the overwhelming majority of Americans who believe in fairness for women and girls. The future of womens sports and our daughters opportunities are on the line. And if Democrats still refuse to listen, voters will remind them decisively at the ballot box. This isnt only about fairness in sports its about a fundamental betrayal of American women, and it will not be forgotten.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE BY MEHEK COOKE0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 2 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSpeed up B-21 Raider stealth bombers to counter ChinaShes nicknamed "Spartan."The second B-21 Raider stealth bomber fittingly flew on Sept. 11, from its factory in the high desert of Palmdale, California, to adjacent Edwards Air Force Base. The B-21 Raider is the most sophisticated bomber in the world, and Americas first "sixth-generation" stealth warplane. Two more sixth-gen planes, the Air Forces F-47 fighter, and a secret carrier-based fighter for the Navy, are also in the works. However, with the flight of Spartan coming on top of continued flight tests of the first B-21 "Cerberus," the Air Force bomber is making astonishing progress.Nicknames from the men and women of the production line and flight test teams tell you how special these mammoth bombers are. Infused with AI, and revolutionary aerodynamics, they are almost like sentient beings.CHINA'S CURRENCY COUP: HOW BEIJING IS TARGETING AMERICA'S WALLET AND FUTURE"With the arrival of the second B-21 Raider, our flight test campaign gains substantial momentum," Air Force Secretary Troy Meink said in a massive understatement. The B-21 Raider is the replacement for the fleet of just 19 B-2 Spirit stealth bombers that blew up Irans nuclear facilities in June.Within the enormous, drab beige hangar of Plant 42 in Palmdale there are at least five and maybe as many as 10 more B-21s in various stages of final assembly on the production line.Components like the Pratt and Whitney high-bypass turbofan engines come from aerospace suppliers all over the country. Thanks to Spartan, also known as Tail 2, you can see a lot more about how the B-21 Raider will function. First, shes grey, several shades lighter than the all-black B-2. The B-21 is curved and shaped of carbon graphite composite materials, not sheet metal. Notice the B-21 has no tail or tube-like fuselage. The B-21 is a pure flying wing, with engines nestled inside along with the fuel tanks and bomb bay.TRUMP'S TARIFFS FORCE CHINA TO FEEL THE HEATThe design is highly efficient for long-range flight, at altitudes of perhaps 50,000 feet. Control in flight is achieved with software making continuous, tiny inputs to the pitch and trim of the B-21. You can spot the sets of four identical sensors under the pointy nose of the B-21 that feed quad-redundant flight control system.Worried about Chinese spies with radar detectors watching these B-21 flights? Dont. Stealth aircraft often strap on a Luneberg lens passive radar reflector to brighten up radar return and thus hide the B-21s true characteristics. In combat stealth mode, even the navigation lights retract.Next up for the B-21: weapons and mission systems tests, Meink said. The B-21 will continue signature verification, check out its onboard radars and electronic warfare systems, and prepare for weapons release tests. Expect to see photos soon of the B-21 flying around with bomb bay doors open. At some point, theyll test out the cockpits small heat ring for hot dogs or soup, and the five-gallon chemical toilet. All the "comforts" crews expect in a stealth bomber when flying 48-hour missions.FIDDLING WHILE ROME BURNS: AMERICA IGNORES CHINAS RISING RED TIDEMore B-21s cant come soon enough. America is running short on stealth bombers. With just 19 B-2s left, the need for a big operational fleet of B-21 Raiders is intense.Operation Midnight Hammer threw seven B-2s at Iran for just one strike. Do the math. For a credible deterrent strategy against Russia, China, North Korea and who knows what else, America needs enough B-21s to repeat strikes in multiple locations.Dont forget the B-21 will fulfill two roles: nuclear deterrence in the Triad, plus global, conventional strikes, against targets ranging from bad guy nuclear sites to mobile missiles and enemy ships. As the strike on Iran showed, stealth bombers are the only tools for the job when it comes to massive ordnance strikes.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONWith Tail 2 up and flying, the smart move for President Donald Trump would be to open a second B-21 production line to take advantage of the thriving line and capacity in the aerospace industrial base. When Northrop Grumman won the B-21 contract in 2015, the penny-pinching Obama Pentagon planned to buy the B-21 at the leisurely rate of four or five per year for 20 years to procure a fleet of 100. That was before Chinas nuclear acceleration, the Russia-China alliance, Putins nuclear posturing, and North Koreas progress with solid-fueled nuclear missiles. The B-21 has been a roaring success in terms of production. Because it has experienced so few problems, the B-21 has shocked Washington, D.C., by coming in 28% under budget across the five-year defense plan, according to an Aviation Week report. I know of no other major program running so efficiently. The B-21 Raider keeps the U.S. Air Force miles ahead of rivals. Russia flew its Tu-22M3 bombers during the Zapad military exercises last week. Vladimir Putins bombers have been upgraded but they are far from stealthy. The Chinese H-6K bombers that pester Guam are still of the old jetliner design, carrying long-range conventional or nuclear missiles under the wings, where their radar signature glares. China cant sweep the Pacific while the B-21 is on guard.Count on Spartan, Cerberus and the new fleet of B-21 Raider bombers to maintain Americas deterrent advantage for decades to come.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM REBECCA GRANT0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 2 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSquad member gives blunt response when asked why Dems are celebrating political violence after Kirk's deathRep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who is part of the cohort of progressive Democrat lawmakers on Capitol Hill known as "the Squad," denied that Democrat voters were celebrating political violence in the wake of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination. In video footage obtained by Fox News Digital, Omar was asked about her thoughts on Democratic voters celebrating the death of Kirk and cheering on political violence in the wake of his assassination."Are you concerned with the rhetoric coming from the Democratic base regarding the Charlie Kirk assassination?" Omar was asked, to which she did not respond. "Why are Democratic voters celebrating political violence?" Omar was then asked again.ABC REPORTER CALLS CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN'S TEXT MESSAGES WITH TRANSGENDER PARTNER VERY TOUCHING"I don't think anybody is," Omar shot back. But, evidence appears to show that many folks have been facing repercussions over their decision to mock, or praise, Kirk's death. This includes K-12 education officials, college professors, healthcare professionals, political pundits, writers and a list of other professionals from various sectors and major companies, such as the law firm Perkins Coie, the company behind the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and Office Depot, among others.Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have roundly condemned the trend of political violence following Kirk's assassination. But, despite the condemnation and expressions of sorrow from both sides of the political spectrum, there have still been some contentious moments on the Hill following Kirk's death. On the day of Kirk's passing, a moment of silence for the slain activist inside the House Chamber devolved into chaos after Republican South Carolina Rep. Lauren Boebert requested a spoken prayer be said in addition to a silent prayer, which was met with protest from Democrats. Some reportedly began shouting about how Republicans had ignored a school shooting that happened the same day as Kirk's, according to media reports. Meanwhile, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., stood up and began shouting back, saying, "You all caused this."FOLLOWING KIRKS ASSASSINATION, LAWMAKERS REACT TO LETHAL POLITICAL CLIMATE: 'VIOLENT WORDS PRECEDE VIOLENT ACTIONS'When asked why Democrats refused to say a prayer for Kirk, Omar responded: "We did a moment of silence, nobody prays on the House floor for anybody who has passed away."Omar, meanwhile, is facing efforts by Republicans to strip her of her committee assignments and seats after she, according to GOP lawmakers, disparaged Kirk's legacy shortly following his assassination. The remarks were made during an interview with progressive news outlet Zeteo. Omar told the outlet days after Kirk's assassination that he previously "downplayed slavery and what Black people have gone through in this country by saying Juneteenth shouldn't exist."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"There are a lot of people who are out there talking about him just wanting to have a civil debate," Omar continued. "There is nothing more effed up, you know, like, than to completely pretend that, you know, his words and actions have not been recorded and in existence for the last decade or so."Omar also criticized GOP figures who have been attacking Democrats for their rhetoric following Kirk's assassination. "These people are full of s---. And it's important for us to call them out while we feel anger and sadness, and have, you know, empathy, which Charlie said, 'No, it shouldn't exist,' because that's a newly created word or something," Omar said, referring to Kirk's comments about "hate speech."0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 2 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWhy Trump is suing the New York Times, his white whale, without citing mistakesDonald Trump grew up in Queens a very nice neighborhood, to be sure, but still an outer borough.Across the East River is the glittering skyline of what those who dont live there call "the city." And in the midst of that island is the New York Times building. When the Times found the real estate developer worthy of profiling, in 1976, it was puff piece at first sight:"He is tall, lean and blond, with dazzling white teeth, and he looks ever so much like Robert Redford. He rides around town in a chauffeured silver Cadillac with his initials, DJT, on the plates. He dates slinky fashion models, belongs to the most elegant clubs and, at only 30 years of age, estimates that he is worth "more than $200 million."TRUMP ANNOUNCES $15 BILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST THE NEW YORK TIMES FOR DEFAMATION, LIBELThe Redford reference is now sadly dated because of the actors passing in his sleep ("Good way to go, I guess," says Trump.) But in the piece, the "fast talker" acknowledged that his father, Fred Trump, who built middle-class housing in Queens and Brooklyn, only recently tried to crack the Manhattan market because of "psychology."(My favorite sentence: "Mr. Trump, who says he is publicity shy, allowed a reporter to accompany him on what he described as a typical work day.")I bring all this up, as a Brooklyn guy who has lived in Queens, to underscore how the president has always craved the papers approval.TRUMP TAKES AIM AT CNN AND NEW YORK TIMES OVER IRAN STRIKE COVERAGE, BUT JOURNALISTS ARE SHRUGGINGAnd he got it though the tabloids loved his feuds even more until he went into politics. Now the president has filed a $15 billion lawsuit against the New York Times. Its a strange suit, and it has a snowballs chance in hell of succeeding.A Times statement says: "This lawsuit has no merit. It lacks any legitimate legal claims and instead is an attempt to stifle and discourage independent reporting." Whats odd is that there was no triggering story, no specific inaccuracy alleged. Thats in sharp contrast to the presidents successful suits against CBS and ABC.Of course, filing a suit forcing even the biggest companies to spend a fortune on legal fees is often the point.Back in the 1980s, Trump sued the Pulitzer-winning Chicago Tribune architecture critic, Paul Gapp, for $500 million, for criticizing his plan to build Americas tallest building a 150-story tower in Manhattan. "One of the silliest things anyone could inflict on New York or any other city," Gapp wrote.Trump said he had "virtually torpedoed" the project, subjecting him to "public ridicule and contempt." A judge later dismissed the suit as involving protected opinion. The new suit names such reporters as chief White House correspondent Peter Baker and investigative journalist Michael Schmidt. It also names Susanne Craig and Ross Buettner, in part for their book "Lucky Loser: How Donald Trump Squandered His Fathers Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success."Craig revealed some of Trumps tax returns, and she and her team won a Pulitzer for reporting on his finances. In the ABC case, the network settled for $16 million for George Stephanopoulos having said Trump was found liable for rape, not "sexual abuse," in the civil suit brought by E. Jean Carroll.CBS also agreed to pay $16 million after the unethical editing of the Kamala Harris interview on "60 Minutes," to make her sound more coherent. He has also sued the Wall Street Journals parent company for reporting on his birthday message to Jeffrey Epstein which he continues to deny, although the message from the predators files has surfaced with many similarities.CBS PARENT COMPANY SPARKS MASSIVE OUTRAGE WITH TRUMP LAWSUIT SETTLEMENTIn the lawsuit against the Times, filed in Florida, the president just trashes its campaign coverage. He says on Truth Social he is moving against "one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country, becoming a virtual mouthpiece for the Radical Left Democrat Party. I view it as the single largest illegal Campaign contribution, EVER. Their Endorsement of Kamala Harris was actually put dead center on the front page of The New York Times, something heretofore UNHEARD OF! The Times has engaged in a decades long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole. I am PROUD to hold this once respected rag responsible"Im going out on a limb to say that running an editorial on the front page falls under the category of free speech, and lots of papers have occasionally done it.And remember, as the ultimate public figure, Trump would have to prove malice on the papers part, or reckless disregard for whether something is true or not.Given that the presidents coverage is overwhelmingly negative, lets say for the sake of argument that the Times is leading the resistance. The Trump suit blames "persistent election interference from the legacy media."But unless a plaintiff can point to a verifiable inaccuracy, it falls under the protective umbrella of First Amendment reporting and opinion.SUBSCRIBE TO HOWIE'S MEDIA BUZZMETER PODCAST, A RIFF ON THE DAY'S HOTTEST STORIESWith Marine One in the background yesterday, ABCs Jonathan Karl, whom Trump knows well, asked him about criticism of Pam Bondis investigations of left-wingers: "A lot of people, a lot of your allies, say hate speech is free speech.""Shed probably go after people like you! Because you treat me so unfairly! Its hate! You have a lot of hate in your heart!"A moment later, Trump said: "Maybe theyll come after ABC. Well, ABC paid me $16 million recently for a form of hate speech, right? Your company paid me $16 million for a form of hate speech, so maybe theyll have to go after you."For the president, a lawsuit is wielded as a weapon. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMPope Leo XIV told US ambassador he is praying for Charlie Kirk, his family after assassinationPope Leo XIV told the new U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, Brian Burch, that he is praying for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, as well as his wife and children, following his murder last week in Utah, the Vatican said on Tuesday.Leo also expressed concern about political violence and addressed the need "to refrain from rhetoric and exploitation that lead to polarization rather than dialogue," Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a statement, according to Vatican News. The pope's remarks came on Saturday, when he received the ambassador in an audience to receive his credentials, marking the first meeting between the two.TED CRUZ SAYS HATE SPEECH 'ABSOLUTELY' PROTECTED BY FIRST AMENDMENT FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK'S ASSASSINATION"The pope confirmed that he is praying for Charlie Kirk," Bruni said.Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed during an event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem on Sept. 10. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition before he was later pronounced dead. The alleged gunman was identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, whose family persuaded him to turn himself in after a two-day manhunt. Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder in connection with Kirk's killing.LONDON PUB DEDICATES ROOM TO CHARLIE KIRK AFTER TRAGIC DEATH, INVITES CUSTOMERS TO CELEBRATE FREE SPEECHThe pontiff had also sent a telegram message offering condolences last month after a shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minnesota, leaving two children dead and 18 others injured, including more than a dozen kids from the school. However, the pope did not send a telegram about Kirk's assassination.Burch hosted a welcome diplomatic reception on Monday, saying it was a "remarkable time to be in Rome," with the first American pope. The ambassador spoke about his papal audience, noting to the assembled ambassadors, cardinals and guests that the pontiff "reminded me he is not an American pope. He is a pope of America for the world."The Associated Press contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 39 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTed Cruz says hate speech 'absolutely' protected by First Amendment following Charlie Kirk's assassinationSen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said on Tuesday that a person cannot be prosecuted for speech, but he is in favor of other consequences for those who celebrate the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, putting the senator at odds with the Trump administration.Cruz made the comments at Politico's AI & Tech Summit on Tuesday, when he affirmed that hate speech is protected under the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment."The First Amendment absolutely protects speech," Cruz said."It absolutely protects hate speech," he continued. "It protects vile speech. It protects horrible speech. What does that mean? It means you cannot be prosecuted for speech, even if it is evil and bigoted and wrong."PAM BONDI CLARIFIES 'HATE SPEECH' COMMENTS AFTER GETTING BLOWBACKInstead of facing prosecution, Cruz said anyone who has celebrated Kirks murder, or suggested that he deserved to die for his political views, should be met with other forms of consequences, such as termination or expulsion. Several people in various jobs across the country have been fired for comments made in response to Kirk's death."We have seen, as you noted, across the country, people on the left not everybody but far too many people celebrating Charlie Kirks murder," Cruz said. "Weve seen teachers in high schools and elementary schools posting online celebrating. Weve seen university professors posting.""In my view, they should absolutely face the consequences for celebrating murder," he added.Cruz's comments come after Attorney General Pam Bondi said on Monday that the Justice Department would target people who engaged in hate speech following Kirk's assassination."Theres free speech and then theres hate speech, and there is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to Charlie, in our society. We will absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech," Bondi told podcast host Katie Miller, the wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.BONDI 'HATE SPEECH' REMARKS SPARK TORRENT OF CRITICISM FROM CONSERVATIVESBondi later attempted to walk back her comments, saying hate speech "that crosses the line into threats of violence is NOT protected by the First Amendment.""Its a crime," she wrote on X. "For far too long, weve watched the radical left normalize threats, call for assassinations, and cheer on political violence. That era is over.""Free speech protects ideas, debate, even dissent, but it does NOT and will NEVER protect violence," she added. "It is clear this violent rhetoric is designed to silence others from voicing conservative ideals. We will never be silenced. Not for our families, not for our freedoms, and never for Charlie. His legacy will not be erased by fear or intimidation."Asked about Bondi's initial comments, President Donald Trump suggested potentially going after journalists who "treat me unfairly.""It's hate," he told reporters.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPKirk, who was shot and killed during an event on the campus of Utah Valley University last week, was opposed to prosecuting hate speech."Hate speech does not exist legally in America," he wrote on X last year. "There's ugly speech. There's gross speech. There's evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free."In his remarks on Tuesday, Cruz pushed for more "naming and shaming," citing English philosopher John Stuart Mill, who argued that the best response to speech is more speech."And naming and shaming is part of a functioning and vibrant democracy," Cruz said.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 38 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSouth Carolina court moves forward execution of cop killer who says most laws are unconstitutionalA South Carolina judge allowed an execution to move forward after ruling that the man's beliefs, including that most laws are unconstitutional and citizens have an absolute right to defend their property to death, do not prove he is mentally incompetent.Steven Bixby, 58, was set to die in May for the 2003 killings of two police officers before the state Supreme Court stopped his execution in order to determine his mental competency. A lower court was asked to evaluate if his beliefs about the legal system meant his lawyers were unable to defend him.The latest ruling, issued by Judge R. Scott Sprouse, gives the execution the green light, at least for now. Addressing concerns about the ability of Bixby's lawyers to defend him, Scott said their client cooperates with his legal team and the psychiatrists who treat and question him.The judge wrote that while Bixby "has often disagreed with counsel and expresses distrust regarding their strategy in this proceeding, the evidence demonstrates that he understands their role, the rationale for why they are engaging in this competency proceeding, and that he can choose whether or not to cooperate with them."SOUTH CAROLINA DEATH ROW INMATE SAYS JUDGES ARE LED BY SATAN AS COURT WEIGHS IF HE IS COMPETENT FOR EXECUTIONBixbys lawyers can ask to appeal the ruling. He said recently in a handwritten motion to the court that judges who rule against him are guided by Satan and suggested that the judge would commit treason if he failed to stop his execution and free him from custody, according to The Associated Press. A psychologist also previously said Bixby understands what led to his death sentence, but that he believes blood found on his clothes the night of the killings contains the DNA of Jesus Christ."I am an innocent man!! Let freedom ring & let those committing treason swing!!! Like Thomas Jefferson: I am standing on principle even if I stand alone," Bixby wrote in the motion, via The AP.In December 2003, Bixby shot Abbeville County deputy Danny Wilson as the officer knocked on the front door of his parents' home, a day after they threatened the road crew, according to officials.Wilson's dying body was pulled inside the home by the family and restrained with his own handcuffs. The Bixbys then killed state Constable Donnie Ouzts as he and other officers responded to the home because Wilson had been missing for an hour, leading to a 12-hour standoff as officers and the family fired hundreds of shots at each other, investigators said.Bixby's parents were also charged with murder but have since died.SOUTH CAROLINA DEATH ROW INMATE INVOKES 'SOVEREIGN CITIZEN' DEFENSE IN BID TO AVOID EXECUTIONIn his motion to the court, Bixby reaffirmed his long-held belief that his family was justified in killing Wilson because the deputy was attempting to help take their land. The handwritten motion came after the judge held a hearing last month to determine if Bixby was mentally competent for execution. At the hearing, lawyers for Bixby said that he is convinced the U.S. legal system is unconstitutional and wrong, and refuses to share information needed to help him avoid execution. Prosecutors contended that Bixby's beliefs are shared by others and that he understands why the state wants to end his life.An expert called by Bixby's lawyers said the isolation of prison has only made his beliefs more delusional and that Bixby is stuck in his mindset. The judge highlighted that two of the experts called by the state have been dealing with Bixby since shortly after the killings and that while Bixby has previously been angry with their testimony about his mental state, he understands they need to do their job.The state's experts testified that Bixby is not going to abandon his beliefs about the legal system and that he views himself in some ways as a martyr prepared to die for his beliefs if his appeals fail. They said Bixby believes he will see his parents again in heaven. The psychiatrist who sees and treats death row inmates in South Carolina said Bixby described his mental state to him as: "Im not crazy. Im not a mental health case. I may be an [expletive], but Im not crazy."Bixby was out of regular appeals when the state Supreme Court halted his execution in March. The Associated Press contributed to this report.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 29 Views 0 Προεπισκόπηση

"Paintings of kings, queens and lords of the Garter in ornate frames will join them as they sleep."The castle is steeped in pomp, pageantry and history. William the Conqueror began building it in 1070 on high ground above the River Thames, near a hunting forest and a days march from the Tower of London, according to the royal familys website. It has been inhabited and altered by monarchs for centuries. The castle was expanded in the 1360s by Edward III, who created St. Georges Hall for his knights of the newly founded Order of the Garter. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were described as "devoted to Windsor" and spent much of their time there.During World War II, Windsor Castle was home to a young Princess Elizabeth and her sister Princess Margaret. The Waterloo Table, about half the length of a football field, can seat up to 160 guests. The Associated Press reported it takes five full days to set the table, which is laid with more than 4,000 pieces, including 200-year-old silver.LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? "You would slice it into rings and eat it with a fork. If there are pears, you cut off the top and use a teaspoon."Grapes are the best option because theyre already cut into small bunches. Pineapples may look whole on the table, but theyve already been sliced. When you lift the top off, there will already be rings with the centers removed. And if things get messy, there are finger bowls with warm water to dip and clean your fingers.""I remember one state banquet where guests thought it was tradition to drink from the finger bowl," he said. "Nobody said anything. Its a state banquet, you just get on with it."Fordwich said the menus are written in French, a tradition dating back to the 11th century."This practice symbolizes sophistication," she shared.Fordwich also noted that this years food will be prepared by Head Royal Chef Mark Flanagan."He is adept at tailoring menus for visiting guests," Fordwich said. Hes head of state, and hes monarch, but he doesnt get involved in politics. But this event strengthens the relationship between both nations, and its one everyone is looking forward to.""The royal family is especially looking forward to this," Seward added.Trump is the first U.S. president to be invited for two state visits by a British monarch. The late queenhosted him and Melania in 2019 during his first administration.
