Bluetooth flaw exposes millions of premium headphones to spying
Bluetooth headphones are supposed to make life easier. You put them on, press play and forget they exist. But researchers have found that some of the most popular audio products on the market might be doing more than streaming your playlist.Cybersecurity firm ERNW has revealed that 29 devices using Airoha Bluetooth chips are vulnerable to attacks that could expose your personal data or let someone snoop on your conversations. The affected devices come from well-known brands, including Bose, Sony, JBL, Jabra and Marshall. They include headphones, earbuds, speakers and wireless microphones.Sign up for my FREE CyberGuy ReportGet my best tech tips, urgent security alerts and exclusive deals delivered straight to your inbox. Three flaws were disclosed, each allowing an attacker to gain some level of unauthorized access. The most serious flaw lets an attacker read or manipulate data by exploiting a custom protocol used by the chip. All three flaws have been assigned official CVE numbers and scored between medium and high severity.WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)?To be clear, these are not casual attacks. They require close proximity and technical expertise. But when successful, the results are concerning. Researchers showed that they could extract call logs, contact lists and media being played. They could even force a phone to place a call without the users knowledge. Once connected, they could listen in on any sound the phone picked up.In one proof-of-concept, the researchers retrieved Bluetooth link keys from a headphones memory. This allowed them to impersonate the device and hijack the connection to the phone. With that access, they could issue commands using the Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile, a feature available across most modern phones.ERNW researchers have identified the following devices as vulnerable:GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO BY CLICKING HEREKeep in mind that this list may not include every product affected by these vulnerabilities. As more research emerges, the list could change. Furthermore, not every device faces all the same risks. For instance, at least one manufacturer seems to have already addressed CVE-2025-20700 and CVE-2025-20701. However, we do not know if this fix was intentional or accidental.Because of these factors, getting a complete and accurate picture of which devices are truly secure remains a challenge. As a consumer, you should stay alert for updates and check with your device's manufacturer for the latest information.Airoha has addressed the vulnerabilities in its software development kit (SDK) and released an updated version to device manufacturers in early June. These manufacturers are now responsible for building and distributing firmware updates to affected products. If you haven't seen an update yet, it should be arriving soon, though some may already be available. However, there's a catch. According to a report by German outlet Heise, many of the most recent firmware updates for affected devices were released before Airoha provided its official fix. This means some products may still be running vulnerable code, despite appearing up to date.To make matters more complicated, consumers typically aren't notified directly about these updates. Firmware patches for headphones and similar devices often install silently, or in some cases, may not be delivered at all. As a result, most users have no way of knowing whether their devices are secure or still exposed to risk.We reached out to all 10 companies for a comment, but did not hear back before our deadline.1. Regularly check for firmware updates:Visit the manufacturer's app or website to manually check for firmware updates, even if you havent received a notification. Automatic updates arent always reliable, especially for headphones and earbuds.2. Turn off Bluetooth when not in use:Disabling Bluetooth when you're not actively using it reduces your exposure window and makes it harder for attackers to target your device.3. Use devices in low-risk areas:Since these attacks require close proximity, avoid using Bluetooth audio devices in crowded or unfamiliar public places where someone nearby could exploit vulnerabilities.4. Pair devices with trusted sources only:Avoid pairing your Bluetooth headphones with unfamiliar phones, computers or public terminals. Once paired, those devices can sometimes maintain a connection or reestablish one without your knowledge, increasing the risk of abuse if they're compromised.5. Remove unused paired devices: Go into your Bluetooth settings and delete old or unfamiliar pairings. This helps prevent unauthorized reconnections from previously trusted devices that may now be compromised. The real concern here isnt the Bluetooth flaw itself, but what happens when the software inside everyday devices fails quietly. Vulnerabilities like this arent unusual, but the way they are handled often leaves users in the dark. As long as consumers cant see or control the software running inside their own headphones, problems like this will keep happening.Should manufacturers be required to notify users directly when security flaws are discovered in their products? Obama should be out there more countering Trump in 'moment of crisis,' MSNBC panelist says
An MSNBC panelist urged former President Barack Obama to speak out more often on Saturday after he urged members of his party to "toughen up" at a recent fundraiser."I know hes done being president, and many will say he doesnt owe us anything else, but I think if we are in a moment of crisis, and youve ever led this country, you should still care about this country enough to be out there. Ive had this crazy thought that if every time Donald Trump did something crazy or said something crazy, Barack Obama should have a press conference or something," Shaniqua McClendon, the vice president of political strategy at Crooked Media, said during MSNBC's "The Weekend."McClendon agreed with Obama's recent suggestion that Democrats should "toughen up," but urged the former president to get out there more himself as someone who served as president."He is someone who can command attention. And so part of where I dont think its fair is, most Democrats are not Barack Obama. They cant command attention the way he can. And were in a media environment that even if you are fighting, if no one hears you, its not worth anything. People listen to him. So I do think its fair," McClendon continued.FORMER OBAMA SPEECHWRITER ADMITS SHUNNING CONSERVATIVE IN HIS FAMILY WAS A MISTAKEDuring a July fundraiser, Obama suggested members of the party should stop complaining so much."I think its going to require a little bit less navel-gazing and a little less whining and being in fetal positions. And its going to require Democrats to just toughen up," Obama said at the fundraiser, according to excerpts obtained by CNN. "Dont tell me youre a Democrat, but youre kind of disappointed right now, so youre not doing anything. No, now is exactly the time that you get in there and do something."MSNBC host Catherine Rampell wondered if Obama would be accused of sucking up all the oxygen if he was out there more.FORMER NPR HOST SAYS OBAMA IS 'VERY SCOLD-Y THESE DAYS,' NO LONGER RESONATES WITH BASE"He probably would be accused of that. But those people are not pushing through right now," McClendon said. She suggested some Democrats, such as Reps. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., were breaking through, but most were not."The point now is that we are in a really dire situation Our rights are being taken away every day. And if Barack Obama is someone who can push back on that and at least get people to pay attention to the fact that thats happening, it matters a lot. And so, yeah, I think that is not an argument, I wish that was the thing we had to worry about," she added.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURECLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Hosts of "The View" criticized Obama's advice, arguing that Democrats had been out there fighting against Trump.

Trumps housing chief rips Powell for blowing millions on Fed facelift during housing crisis he perpetuates
Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner blasted Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for spending billons of dollars renovating the Fed's headquarters amid a housing crisis he said Powell is helping perpetuate. The Federal Reserve's headquarters has been undergoing a major renovation that has been plagued by cost overruns and now has a price tag of $2.5 billion. Meanwhile, the Trump administration faults Powell for not cutting interest rates, even with inflation seemingly under control."Its rich that an unelected bureaucrat like Powell is wasting billions of taxpayer dollars on building renovations while Americans struggle to buy homes due to high mortgage rates, which are directly impacted by his refusal to lower interest rates," Turner told Fox News Digital.HUD became the first Cabinet agency to announce a move out of Washington, D.C., with Turner reporting in June that the department was moving to the already existing National Science Foundation (NSF) in nearby Alexandria, Virginia. Turner said the move will free up millions in taxpayer funds that were spent on the massive, longtime HUD headquarters at D.C.'s LEnfant Plaza that also included "health hazards, leaks, and structural and maintenance failures" for staffers."HUDs move isnt about me our workforce deserves to be in a building that is safe and that fits our workforce. NSF was never able to fully fill their building to occupancy and will move into a building that best fits their workforce. Instead of spending nearly a half-billion dollars on renovating 10 floors of basement with perpetual leaks, HUD and GSA are saving the taxpayers money something that Chairman Powell, sitting in his ivory tower, thinks he is above and putting Americans first," Turner continued.HUD BECOMES FIRST MAJOR CABINET AGENCY TO EXIT DC, CITING FAILING HQ -- WHICH DOGE WANTS TO SELLSpeculation has swirled that President Donald Trump could try to oust the Fed chief ahead of his term officially ending in May 2026 due to his reluctance to lower the federal funds target rate, which would lower borrowing costs for Americans. The Fed in June held its benchmark interest rate range between 4.25%-4.5%, which Trump has argued stifles American economic growth. The Fed, which sets monetary policies and oversees banks, has said decisions on interest rates are rooted in its data-dependent approach to managing inflation and economic growth. It acts independently, meaning it does not require approval from the president or Congress when enacting policies.Trump has amplified his criticisms of Powell in recent weeks, arguing that he already should have lowered interest rates, while calling him a "numbskull" along with the nickname "Mr. Too Late." At the recent NATO summit in Canada, Trump said during a press conference that Powell is "terrible" and is a "very average mentally person" who has a "low IQ for what he does."FOR SALE: DOGE MOVES TO SELL OFF ALMOST HALF A BILLION IN FEDERAL REAL ESTATE, RELOCATE CABINET AGENCY HQSTrump said recent, over-budget renovations at the Fed headquarters, the Marriner S. Eccles Building, "sort of is" a "fireable offense.""I think he's terrible. I think he's a total stiff. But the one thing I didn't see in him is a guy that needed a palace to live in," Trump told reporters last week."You talk to the guy. It's like talking to nothing. It's like talking to a chair. No personality, no high intelligence, no nothing. But the one thing I would have never guessed is that he would be spending $2.5 billion to build a little extension."HUD SECRETARY SCOTT TURNER LAYS OUT AGENCY WINS DURING FIRST 100 DAYS, SHARES PRIORITIES FOR NEXT 100Democrat lawmakers have slammed Trump's attacks on Powell over the Fed building's updates, including Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren taking a swipe at Turner for moving HUD to Virginia."If Trump were serious about lowering interest rates, he would rein in his chaotic tariffs," Warren said earlier this month during a speech at the Exchequer Club in D.C. "Instead, he is threatening to fire the chairman of the Federal Reserve. When his initial attempts to bully Powell failed, Trump and Republicans in Congress suddenly decided to look into how much the Fed is spending on building renovations."TRUMP SHOULD RAZE HUD HEADQUARTERS TO DRAIN DC SWAMPHUD is expected to save $22 million per year on operating and maintenance costs by moving out of the Robert C. Weaver Building, while the government is expected to pull in a hefty sum when the building is officially sold due to its prime location in the nation's capital. The agency's new home at NSF is anticipated to cost the government $35 per square foot, compared to the $86 per square foot at the Weaver building, including operations and maintenance, Fox Digital learned. The federal government had spent $90 million on repairs for the massive Weaver building in the last 15 years, Fox Digital learned, but the building has "deteriorated well beyond the point of cost-effective repair, creating significant financial obligations for the federal government if occupancy is maintained," HUD reported in June.HUD OFFICES BECAME AS VACANT AS A SPIRIT HALLOWEEN STORE UNDER BIDEN: ADMIN SOURCESThe Federal Reserve on Sunday morning declined comment when asked about Turner's remarks to Fox Digital. The Fed's website includes a frequently asked questions page regarding the building's renovations, including underscoring that the Fed's board "takes the responsibility to be a good steward of public resources," and is subject to a handful of safeguards to ensure transparency."The Federal Reserve Chair testifies to each house of Congress twice per year on monetary policy. During two sequential days of hearings, members of the House and Senate have the opportunity to question the Fed Chair on any topic, and then submit questions in writing after the hearings. As part of these hearings, the Federal Reserve publishes a semiannual Monetary Policy Report, detailing recent economic and monetary policy developments," the page states.Trump, who appointed Powell during his first presidential term, has meanwhile continued slamming Powell on social media for the current interest rates he said are "choking" the housing market for Americans."Too Late," and the Fed, are choking out the housing market with their high rate, making it difficult for people, especially the young, to buy a house," Trump wrote on Truth Social Friday. "He is truly one of my worst appointments. Sleepy Joe saw how bad he was and reappointed him anyway."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"The USA is Rockin, there is VERY LOW INFLATION, and we deserve to be at 1%, saving One Trillion Dollars a year on Interest Costs. Minnesota Democratic Party endorses Omar Fateh for Minneapolis mayor
Minnesota's branch of the Democratic Party endorsed far-left Minnesota State Sen. Omar Fateh's campaign for mayor of Minneapolis on Saturday.Fateh announced the endorsement from the Democratic Farmer-Labor (DFL) party on social media. He secured the endorsement over incumbent mayor Jacob Frey, also a Democrat."I am incredibly honored to be the DFL endorsed candidate for Minneapolis Mayor. This endorsement is a message that Minneapolis residents are done with broken promises, vetoes, and politics as usual. Its a mandate to build a city that works for all of us," Fateh wrote on X.The DFL did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.RNC CHAIR ARGUES MAMDANI FACE OF THE NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTYFateh has received many comparisons to New York City's Zohran Mamdani. Like Mamdani, Fateh is a Muslim Democratic socialist and, at 35, a fellow member of Generation Y.Fateh, a son of Somaliimmigrants, became the first Somali-American elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2020. He pledges that, if elected mayor, he would raise the city's minimum wage, increase the supply of affordable housing, and combat what he calls "police violence."POTUS PUNDITRY: TRUMP WEIGHS IN ON MAMDANI-CUOMO NYC MAYORAL FACEOFFFrey criticized the DFL's endorsement of Fateh in a campaign statement, arguing the party convention where the decision was made had been "irregular.""This election should be decided by the entire city rather than the small group of people who became delegates, particularly in light of the extremely flawed and irregular conduct of this convention," campaign spokesperson Sam Schulenberg said."Voters will now have a clear choice between the records and leadership of Sen. Democrats fawn over Stephen Colbert for holding 'truth to power' after CBS cancels show
Top Democrats fawned over late-night host Stephen Colbert after news broke that his long-running late-night program would be canceled in 2026."Thank you Stephen Colbert for your willingness to speak truth to power. Staying far from timid. And never bending the knee to a wannabe king," House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries wrote on X.CBS announced on Thursday that the network will cancel "The Late Show" in 2026, insisting its a "financial decision" and has nothing to do with a looming ownership change.Gov. Tim Walz, former Vice President Kamala Harris' 2024 running mate, also praised Colbert for telling "truth to power."COLBERT SLAMS PARAMOUNT FOR SETTLING WITH TRUMP, ACCUSES HIS PARENT COMPANY OF OFFERING A 'BIG FAT BRIBE'Several Democrats posted photos alongside Colbert, either on the show or in public."Stephen Colbert is the best in the business. He always told truth to power and pulled no punches. We need more of that, not less," Walz wrote.CBS said it was "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night," adding, "It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount."Failed Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams also applauded Colbert on social media, posting photos from her several appearances on the show.STEPHEN COLBERT MOCKS HIS PARAMOUNT BOSSES FOR CONSIDERING 'SHADY' $50M TRUMP SETTLEMENT"If you refuse to see what is happening, the cancellation of the Colbert show should open your eyes. I want to explain to you what a censorship state looks like - where a corrupt government gives favors to media that suppresses criticism of the regime," Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., said.Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., called Colbert an "extraordinary talent," and argued the cancellation of his show was not a coincidence, because the liberal late-night host had slammed Paramount's decision to settle with Trump."CBSs billionaire owners pay Trump $16 million to settle a bogus lawsuit while trying to sell the network to Skydance. Stephen Colbert, an extraordinary talent and the most popular late night host, slams the deal. Days later, he's fired. Do I think this is a coincidence? NO," the progressive senator wrote.Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Adam Schiff, D-Calif., both argued the public deserved to know if his show was canceled for "political reasons.""The Late Show," which Colbert took over from David Letterman in 2015, leaned into liberal politics in the Trump era and had become a major platform for Democratic politicians. Last month, Colbert welcomed New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani before the socialist hopeful clinched the Democratic nomination.Schiff, who was Colbert's Thursday night guest, reacted on X, "If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPFox News' Joseph Wulfsohn contributed to this report.

Trump celebrates 6 months back in office: US 'totally revived' after being 'DEAD' under Biden
President Donald Trump celebrated six months since he was sworn into his second term on Sunday, saying that the United States has been "totally revived" after being "DEAD" under former President Joe Biden."Wow, time flies! Today is that Sixth Month Anniversary of my Second Term. Importantly, its being hailed as one of the most consequential periods of any President," Trump wrote on social media."In other words, we got a lot of good and great things done, including ending numerous wars of Countries not related to us other than through Trade and/or, in certain cases, friendship," he added on TRUTH Social. "Six months is not a long time to have totally revived a major Country."Trump continued: "One year ago our Country was DEAD, with almost no hope of revival. Today the USA is the hottest and most respected Country anywhere in the World. Happy Anniversary!!!"LAWSUIT TRACKER: NEW RESISTANCE BATTLING TRUMP'S SECOND TERM THROUGH ONSLAUGHT OF LAWSUITS TAKING AIM AT EOSTrump's first six months have been marked by a number of significant moments, particularly on the international stage. After Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen ramped up attacks on shipping vessels in the Red Sea in late 2024, the Trump administration designated the group a foreign terrorist organization, reinstating a move that had been reversed under Biden.U.S. and U.K. forces earlier this year pounded Houthi missile and radar sites as part of an operation to ensure freedom of navigation, and the Trump administration secured a ceasefire deal with the terror group in May. Trump intervened in the Israel-Iran war in June, ordering U.S. military strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities and infrastructure that pummeled Tehran's capabilities and forced the regime into quick submission.Though Trump had promised on the campaign trail to end the Ukraine-Russia war within 24 hours, a peace agreement between the two sides has so far failed to materialize.Earlier in his second term, Trump had slammed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a perceived lack of gratitude for billions of dollars in U.S. support to his war effort under Biden's presidency. Trump more recently has sharpened his criticism of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, slamming Moscow for the massive loss of life on both sides during the more than three-year-long conflict.UKRAINE'S ZELENSKYY NAMES NEW PRIME MINISTER FOR FIRST TIME SINCE RUSSIA'S WAR BEGANTrump issued a new deadline in mid-July that Russia had 50 days to agree to a ceasefire or face "maximum tariffs." He also recently approved the sale of additional U.S. Patriot missiles to Ukraine. In its first six months, the Trump administration had also brokered a ceasefire between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda in late June.Beyond "ending numerous wars," Trump has celebrated other accomplishments during his first six months back in office, including securing the passage of his "big, beautiful bill," which made the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent. The legislative package also earmarked funding for the president's other initiatives, including for his mass deportation campaign and border security. On overseas trips and at home, Trump has repeatedly said the U.S. is the "hottest" country, claiming to have restored America's reputation both domestically and on the world stage with his "America First" foreign policy.Delivering on his 2024 pledge to make the U.S. the "crypto capital of the planet," Trump on Friday signed landmark legislation that creates a regulatory regime for dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies known as stablecoins.Trump on Sunday also appeared to dismiss concerns that his administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files could cost Republicans control of Congress in the 2026 midterm elections and beyond."My Poll Numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up, significantly, since the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax was exposed by the Radical Left Democrats and, just plain troublemakers," Trump wrote in another post Sunday morning. "They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95%, in various polls, and are all Republican Party records. The General Election numbers are my highest, EVER! People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!"

Trump ramps up pressure on Commanders, Guardians team owners to change nicknames
President Donald Trump implored the owners of the NFLs Washington Commanders and MLBs Cleveland Guardians to revert to the organizations old nicknames in a social media post.Daniel Snyder changed Washingtons team name from the Washington Redskins to the Washington Football Team before the start of the 2020 season amid a summer of racial tensions. The team eventually became the Washington Commanders, and Snyder sold the team to Josh Harris.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMIn July 2021, team owner Paul Dolan announced the Cleveland Indians would become the Cleveland Guardians. Cleveland had been known as the Indians since 1915. Dolan previously said the decision to explore the name change came from "an awakening or epiphany" after the death of George Floyd.Regardless, the push to keep Native American team names has been strong, particularly with the Commanders organization. Trump already expressed his belief that the Commanders made a mistake when they changed the name from the Redskins."The Washington Whatevers should IMMEDIATELY change their name back to the Washington Redskins Football Team. There is a big clamoring for this," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. "Likewise, the Cleveland Indians, one of the six original baseball teams, with a storied past."Our great Indian people, in massive numbers, want this to happen. Their heritage and prestige is systematically being taken away from them. Times are different now than they were three or four years ago. We are a Country of passion and common sense. "So, the people that certain types of players that are tough, that love football, are delegated Commanders and Jayden [Daniels], for example, is a Commander, and they're ranked."And, you know, the business staff has gotten into it, and obviously, we're in a military city here. I do. I think most people do. We shouldnt be that way," said Barr."But for whatever reason, many of us are. Bringing the Eucharist, which is our most important prayer, to the streets (and the beach), challenges that fear in a great way," Barr added. Liberal writer encourages shunning Trump-supporting relatives as right thing to do
A New York Magazine writer argued on Friday it was "good" to shun family members who support President Donald Trump and his policies."Its okay to go no contact with your MAGA relatives," politics writer Sarah Jones wrote for The Intelligencer.Jones argued that neutrality in relationships "doesnt exist" and that sometimes cutting off family members over political disagreements is the right thing to do."Sometimes the act of knowing a person leaves you with no choice but to move on without them. If my parents liked Alligator Alcatraz, Id no longer speak to them," she wrote. "If they were rude to my LGBT friends, Id block their numbers. Though shunning wont work as a political strategy, there are still natural consequences for the way we speak and behave."FORMER OBAMA SPEECHWRITER ADMITS SHUNNING CONSERVATIVE IN HIS FAMILY WAS A MISTAKEHer piece was a response to Obama White House speechwriter David Litt's guest essay in The New York Times this week, which called for liberals to stop ostracizing conservative family members.Litt wrote about reconnecting with his brother-in-law who is a fan of Joe Rogan and is unvaccinated through learning to surf, after he'd previously given him the cold shoulder. The experience made him rethink his previous unfriendliness toward his relatives."Shunning plays into the hands of demagogues, making it easier for them to divide us and even, in some cases, to incite violence," Litt wrote.SOUNDS LIKE A CULT: SOCIOLOGIST RIPS LEFTIST CALLS TO CUT OFF TRUMP FAMILY MEMBERS DURING THE HOLIDAYSIn her response, Jones mocked that argument as "so nave it borders on malice.""Too often, civility is another word for impunity," she wrote."I can see what Litt gained from this quest for neutrality. He evidently feels better about himself, and family gatherings must be easier now. Nothings changed for anyone else," she wrote.Jones argued that we can't "pretend" to ignore political disagreements to keep the peace in relationships."Its good, actually, to have values and draw lines accordingly, even if theres a chance someone will overcorrect. Politics never stopped at the family front door. Why pretend otherwise?" she wrote. In the wake of the 2024 election, several liberals in the media pushed for Democrats to shun Trump-supporting family members, particularly around the holidays.Just days after Trump's victory, a guest on former MSNBC host Joy Reid's show suggested that it would be better for these voters' mental health to distance themselves from their Trump-supporting loved ones over the holidays."There is a push, I think just a societal norm that if somebody is your family, that they are entitled to your time, and I think the answer is absolutely not," Yale University chief psychiatry resident Dr. Amanda Calhoun said last November. The co-hosts of "The View" agreed with the notion, calling it a "moral issue."Fox News' Hanna Panreck contributed to this report.

Unmasked ICE officers speak out against being 'villainized' for enforcing immigration laws
ICE agents have been doxed, demonized and terrorized since setting President Donald Trump's mass deportation plans into motion and now three unmasked agents are pushing back against rhetoric that has landed them in the public's crosshairs."It has been very sad to see how we're villainized, the names used towards us," officer Kristian Moreno told "My View" host Lara Trump this weekend."Just doing this [interview] right now, I had to talk to my family about it and say, 'Hey, this is something that I believe in, something I think is important for us to get our stories out there and let the American public know we're humans.' We got a job to do. We're just enforcing the law. We're not making up the law, and it's sad, but we just keep pushing through it," he added.Moreno works out of the field office in Baltimore, Maryland. He initially served in the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) before going to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in San Ysidro, California.ICE AGENT SHARES FEARS ABOUT FAMILY SAFETY AS ASSAULTS ON OFFICIALS SURGEHe and officers Edgardo Centeno and Chris Sandoval shared their inside-looking-out perspectives on the violence ICE officers risk daily, as the Department of Homeland Security indicates assaults against ICE agents have surged 830% since President Trump's second term began in January.Centeno boasts the longest service record of Trump's three guests. Despite serving across four administrations, he has "never seen" anything like the hatred ICE faces today."I think the dynamics and environment that we're working in is sad. What we've seen in California, Los Angeles, New York, it is, in my opinion, unacceptable," he shared."We have to do our job. We raised our hands to defend the Constitution, and we're enforcing the law, so we're adjusting as we see what's going on in our country, but it's saddening my heart, especially when you serve in combat and come back and see your country so divided."NO CAGES, DUE PROCESS RIGHTS INTACT: ICE AGENTS SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON TRUMP'S IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENTCenteno, who was born in New York and grew up in Puerto Rico, holds a background of military and law enforcement service. His eagerness to continue serving in a capacity to help his community and the nation compelled him to join ICE.While not mentioning any specific lawmakers, he blasted those he said have allegedly "encouraged" members of the public to go after ICE officers while stressing that his agency does targeted operations instead of going after families and individuals."I believe in the First Amendment, and you can express yourself all you want, but when you are enforcing, as a Congress member [people] to go after us, then you're crossing that line," he said."We should not be afraid of doing our jobs. I raised my hand to defend the Constitution, and I'll die for it. That's who I am, and I know my partners are the same here."Some Democrats have drawn ire from Republicans after introducing a bill that would require federal immigration law enforcement officers to not wear face masks and have legible IDs while on the job. Many argue the measure could jeopardize officers and their families by exposing their identities. The DHS has also accused some Democrats and media outlets of inspiring violence against ICE officers with their "lies and fake stories."Sandoval, who is based out of Houston, shared that some officers are being videoed or photographed, and the content is posted online so they can be put "on blast.""It's kind of unfair to where we're doing our job, we're serving the country, but sometimes I see people writing and stuff, and you're hurting your own community," he said.Fox News' Emma Colton and Greg Wehner contributed to this report.
