WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTrump accuses 'scam artist' Schiff of lying about Maryland home to commit mortgage fraudPresident Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., Tuesday morning, amplifying 2024 claims that Schiff committed mortgage fraud by lying about his primary residence for over a decade, which the senator denies.Trump, in a Truth Social post, labeled Schiff a "scam artist" and claimed he obtained a mortgage for a residence in Maryland in 2009 but only designated it as a second home in 2020 as part of a ruse to snag better rates and terms from the company, which has been in federal conservatorship since the 2008 financial crisis. The president said Fannie Mae's Financial Crimes Division had uncovered the alleged fraud.Schiff obtained the Maryland property in 2009 while he was a congressman and became a senator in January. Schiff called the accusations "baseless."WHITE HOUSE HIGHLIGHTSPELOSIHYPOCRISY AFTER SCHIFF DEMANDS TRUMP ADMIN FINANCIAL, ETHICS DOCS"I have always suspected Shifty Adam Schiff was a scam artist. And now I learn that Fannie Maes Financial Crimes Division have concluded that Adam Schiff has engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud," Trump wrote."Adam Schiff said that his primary residence was in MARYLAND to get a cheaper mortgage and rip off America, when he must LIVE in CALIFORNIA because he was a Congressman from CALIFORNIA. I always knew Adam Schiff was a Crook. The FRAUD began with the refinance of his Maryland property on February 6, 2009, and continued through multiple transactions until the Maryland property was correctly designated as a second home on October 13, 2020.""Mortgage Fraud is very serious, and CROOKED Adam Schiff (now a Senator) needs to be brought to justice."Trump did not provide any evidence of the alleged fraud. When asked about the accusations later on Tuesday, Trump appeared to soften on the specific accusation."I don't know about the individual charge, if that even happened, but Adam Schiff is a serious lowlife," Trump said."When you said that you want Adam Schiff brought to justice, what does that mean?" Fox News' Peter Doocy asked, to which Trump said: "I'd love to see him brought to justice."WATERMELON HEAD: TRUMP TROLLS DEMOCRATIC SEN. ADAM SCHIFFSchiff was not barred from listing the Maryland home as his primary residence during his term in Congress, since the Constitution only requires that he be an "inhabitant" of California at the time of his election, not throughout his entire service. However, Schiff cited two residences, one in California and one in Maryland, as his "principal residence" on multiple mortgage and election forms dating back to 2003, Just the News reported in October. In at least three cases in 2009, 2011 and 2013 Schiff refinanced his Maryland home and declared it his "principal residence," while also listing his Burbank, California condo as his primary residence in separate financing documents, the outlet reported. He then changed the notations on his Maryland mortgage to be a secondary residence. The pattern was first detected byChristine Bish, a Sacramento-based real estate investigator who ran for Congress as a Republican last year. She filed an ethics complaint against Schiff in Congress.Schiff said Trump's comments were the latest attempt at political retaliation against his perceived enemies and said it would not distract from "his Epstein files problem.""Since I led his first impeachment, Trump has repeatedly called for me to be arrested for treason," Schiff wrote on X. "So in a way, I guess this is a bit of a letdown. And this baseless attempt at political retribution wont stop me from holding him accountable. Not by a long shot."A spokesperson for Schiff said that the accusations have been debunked."The lenders who provided the mortgages for both homes were well aware of then-Representative Schiff's Congressional service and of his intended year-round use of both homes, neither of which were vacation homes," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "He has always been completely transparent about this."The spokesperson did not say whether the Maryland home was designated as a primary residence. Fannie Mae said it would not be commenting on the claims.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPTrump and Schiff have clashed many times since Trump first became president. As ranking member and later chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff became the public face of the congressional probe into the now-debunked theory that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. Schiff repeatedly suggested there was "ample evidence" of collusion, even when the Mueller report later stated it did not establish a criminal conspiracy. Trump and his Republican allies repeatedly accused Schiff of leaking classified information during the investigation.Schiff also served as the lead House impeachment manager during Trumps first impeachment trial, stemming from the presidents phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while Schiff was also a member of the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, which investigated Trumps role in the attack on the Capitol. Schiff voted to impeach Trump both times.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 15 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWashington Posts new opinion editor promises ambitious changes, echoes Jeff Bezos talking pointsThe Washington Posts new opinion editor promised "ambitious and thorough" changes to the storied section while making it clear that he aligns with billionaire owner Jeff Bezos desire to "rebuild trust with more Americans."Bezos announced some major changes to the outlet's opinion page in February when he declared, "We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets. Well cover other topics too of course, but viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others," and that top opinion editor David Shipley decided to step away. Post opinion section staffers were eager to learn about their new boss and the direction of the sections for months until Adam ONeal was plucked from The Economist.ONeal was announced as Shipleys replacement in an unusual selfie-style video that was posted to X by the Posts communications department in June. He began his tenure leading the opinion section of the Post on Monday, where staffers were greeted with an email titled simply, "Looking forward," that echoed Bezos "personal liberties and free markets" message.WASHINGTON POST CEO URGES STAFFERS WHO DON'T FEEL ALIGNED WITH PAPER'S NEW DIRECTION TO TAKE BUYOUT"After thinking and planning for quite some time, Im beyond thrilled to finally get to work. It wont be easy, but we have a real opportunity to build the most popular, vibrant and influential opinion section in the country. My top priority will be to significantly increase the reach and effect of our work. Advocating for free markets and personal liberties will be critical as we rebuild trust with more Americans and scale our high-quality journalism," ONeal wrote in the email obtained by Fox News Digital."This is not a partisan project, and we will welcome robust debate within the twin pillars. It's also important that we communicate with optimism about this country in particular and the future in general," he continued. "The changes we have planned are not marginal. They will be ambitious and thorough."Bezos was scolded by liberal commentators after his February announcement of major changes to the opinion section, with many critics accusing him of bending the knee to President Donald Trump.ONeal, who has also worked at The Dispatch and The Wall Street Journal, told staffers that his department would embrace the papers longstanding traditions as changes are made."Throughout, we will cultivate and maintain core values: encouraging original reporting; creating a collegial atmosphere; expecting high standards; and embracing experimentation and innovation. We wont let sentimentality slow down much-needed reform. I have tremendous respect for The Posts 148-year history, as well as its culture of adaptation and evolution. We will embrace that tradition wholeheartedly as we chart a new, transformative path for this iconic institution," ONeal wrote."I know this represents a shift for many of you, and maybe even an unwelcome one for some, but simply being reconciled to these changes is not enough. We want those who stick with us to be genuinely enthusiastic about the new direction and focus," he continued. "While Ive spent the past few months learning about the inner-workings of our section, Ill also spend the coming days having a close-up look at our systems and workflow. That means that, in addition to learning from you all individually, I'll be sitting in on meetings and discussions as an observer."LIBERAL PUNDITS DUB WASHINGTON POST'S LATEST OPINION SHAKE-UP A 'TERRIBLE TRAGEDY,' SLAM JEFF BEZOSONeal called it a "unique and exciting time for The Post" and wrapped up his email by noting that the opinion sections "future" team is not currently in place."Im eager to put together the team that will bring us into the future," ONeal wrote. Its been turbulent times at the Post, which famously came under fire after Bezos stopped the editorial page from endorsing then-Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 over Trump, prompting several staffers to leave the paper. The Post endorsed former President Biden in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016.When Bezos explained the decision, he cited a Gallup poll showing Americans losing trust in the media, even falling below Congress, telling readers, "Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working."LONGTIME WASHINGTON POST COLUMNIST QUITS PAPER, SLAMS GROWING EDITORIAL CONSTRAINTS UNDER BEZOSLast week, publisher and CEO Will Lewis offered a blunt ultimatum to staff who aren't onboard with the "new direction" the paper is taking under Bezos."I understand and respect, however, that our chosen path is not for everyone," Lewis wrote in a memo obtained byFox News Digital. "Thats exactly why we introduced the voluntary separationprogram. As we continue in this new direction, I want to ask those who do not feel aligned with thecompanysplan to reflect on that. The VSP is designed to support you in making this decision, give you the ability to weigh your options thoughtfully and with less concern about financial consequences. And if you think that its time to move on to a new chapter, the VSP helps you take that next step with more security."Fox News Digitals Hanna Panreck and Joseph A. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMStefanik shreds CUNY chancellor on antisemitism response, faculty ties to Mahmoud KhalilRep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., shredded the City University of New York (CUNY) chancellor over the institution's response to antisemitism and faculty ties to Mahmoud Khalil.During a House Education and the Workforce Committee hearing, Stefanik demanded to know why students were forced to walk under graffiti of a massive swastika for hours while entering the main Hunter College building. While CUNY Chancellor Dr. Flix V. Matos Rodrguez said he believes the symbol is "deplorable," he claimed the delay in leaving it up was because the matter was referred to the New York City Police Department's hate crime unit for investigation.Stefanik lamented that there was a university investigation, but "no actual action" taken against the CUNY administrator who had responded to the Hunter College director of Jewish studies' request that the swastika be removed. The administrator, who Stefanik did not name, wrote in an email, "Apologies, but it is not that simple," according to a screenshot of the email displayed during the hearing.'EXISTENTIAL THREAT': JEWISH LEADERS WARN OF NYC 'MASS EXODUS' IF ZOHRAN MAMDANI WINS IN NOVEMBERStefanik further hammered Rodriguez on whether he was aware that Saly Abd Alla, who is CUNY's chief diversity officer, was previously employed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).Rodriguez said he was not involved with Abd Alla's hiring decision but admitted that she remained employed by CUNY at the time of the hearing."Is it OK from your perspective? Obviously it is to have a former employee of CAIR. Let me remind you, CAIR was a co-conspirator in a terrorist financing case and has ties to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization," Stefanik said."So no action, just words here today," the congresswoman said, adding that Abd Alla's salary is paid by New York taxpayers."We have the expectations of total professionalism and compliance with all the rules and policies of CUNY. Any employee that breaks our policies or our rules will be investigated," Rodriguez said.Stefanik responded: "But it obviously doesn't break CUNY's rules to have a senior employee who was previously employed by a terrorist-affiliated organization. That is unacceptable to New York taxpayers. It is unacceptable to American taxpayers."The congresswoman also pressed Rodriguez on whether he was familiar with CUNY Clear, which she described as the "clinical arm of the CUNY School of Law.""The CUNY Clear founder and professor is the head of Mahmoud Khalil's legal defense fund. Are you aware of that?" she asked, referring to the anti-Israel activist at Columbia University.Rodriguez testified that he was not aware.DHS FIRES BACK AFTER MAHMOUD KHALIL TARGETS TRUMP ADMIN FOR $20M OVER DETENTIONThough Stefanik did not mention a name, she appeared to be referencing Professor Ramzi Kassem, the founder of the CUNY Clear, or "Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility." Kassem is handling Khalil's defense efforts.Khalil, a former Columbia University graduate student who led the anti-Israel encampment on that school's campus, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in March. The Trump administration cited a rare provision arguing his activism was harmful to U.S. foreign policy. He spent more than 100 days at an ICE facility in Louisiana before a federal judge granted his release amid ongoing deportation hearings. Khalil is seeking $20 million from the Trump administration over his detention."Does it concern you that New York taxpayers are paying the salary for the legal defense fund of Mahmoud Khalil?" Stefanik asked. "And I'll remind you who Mahmoud Khalil is. This is the chief pro-Hamas agitator that led to the antisemitic encampments at Columbia, the rioting and violent takeover of Hamilton Hall, the harassment and physical assault of Jewish students."Rodriguez said the university does not condone any kind of antisemitism, but Stefanik interjected: "But you allow the head of the clinical legal organization and a professor to be the chief legal aid to Mahmoud Khalil and do his legal defense fund.""Those decisions are made in the clinics, are made in the individual campuses," Rodriguez said. The congresswoman retorted, "It goes up to you. You are the chancellor."While Rodriguez said antisemitism wouldn't be tolerated and promised an investigation, he declined to answer whether the faculty member handling Khalil's defense would be fired from CUNY."Let me make a prediction. No disciplinary action. This individual is not going to be fired because it's all words. No action. You have failed the people of New York. You have failed Jewish students in New York state. And it is a disgrace," Stefanik said.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 15 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMNewsom escalates Trump immigration feud with foul-mouthed insultCalifornia Gov. Gavin Newsom reinvigorated his long-running feud with President Donald Trump during a podcast Monday, slamming the president as a "son of a b----" over the recent immigration raids in Los Angeles."Theyre sitting there on horses with American flags, running through soccer fields, scaring kids that are playing soccer in the middle of the day at a summer camp. For what? Just toughness," Newsom said during an appearance on "The Shawn Ryan Show" Monday. "Its a weakness masquerading as strength."Thats what I dont like about this son of a b----," the Democratic governor added. "I don't. And forgive me, I know he's president of the United States."Newsom took issue with Trump's use of the derogatory nickname "Newscum" when referring to the governor in public forums, saying seventh grade bullies also called him that, and he didn't expect the president to do the same.TRUMP V. CALIFORNIA: SANCTUARY CITIES TO EV BANS, TRUMP PUTS LEFT-WING STATE UNDER REPEATED SCRUTINY"He calls me Newscum. How do I explain that to my kid? Now, I have my kids friends calling my kids Newscum. That I get, because I was called that in seventh grade, but not by a 79-year-old."The White House shot back that the governor should thank Trump for "protecting Californians," arguing Newsom has "repeatedly refused" to do the same."Democrats using curse words to distract from their indefensible policies is a tale as old as time. While Newscum curses on podcasts, President Trump is removing criminal illegal aliens from California communities and rescuing kids from illegal labor exploitation," White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital. "He should be thanking the president for protecting Californians, a job he has repeatedly refused to do."Newsom and Trump have feuded over political policies since the first Trump administration, and their conflict has intensified during Trump's second Oval Office tenure, including over Newsom's handling of wildfires that plagued the Los Angeles area in January and over the Trump administration ordering deportation raids on LA in June.ANTI-ICE RIOTS REVEAL THE LEFT HAS LEARNED NOTHING. IT'S JUST HANDED TRUMP A GIFTRiots formed in the left-wing city in early June as local leaders, such as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Newsom, quickly denounced the immigration raids in public statements while offering words of support for illegal immigrants in the state.Protests over the raids soon devolved into violence as rioters targeted federal law enforcement officials, including launching rocks at officials, and videos showing people looting local stores, setting cars on fire and taking over a freeway.WHITE HOUSE MOCKS NEWSOM ADDRESS, ACCUSES GOVERNOR OF HIRING HARRIS', BIDEN'S CAMPAIGN MANAGERTrump announced shortly after violence broke out in the city that he would deploy 2,000 National Guard troops to help quell the violence, bypassing the governor, who typically activates the National Guard. California subsequently filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for efforts to allegedly "federalize the California National Guard.""Governor Gavin Newscum and 'Mayor' Bass should apologize to the people of Los Angeles for the absolutely horrible job that they have done, and this now includes the ongoing L.A. riots. These are not protesters, they are troublemakers and insurrectionists," Trump posted to Truth Social June 8 during the riots.CALIFORNIA REPUBLICANS SLAM NEWSOM, BASS FOR LETTING LA BURN WITH RIOTS AMID TRUMP IMMIGRATION BLITZThe riots quieted in mid-June after the "No Kings Day" protests June 14, the same day Trump held a military parade in Washington honoring the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. The immigration raids in the Los Angeles area have continued through July as the Trump administration vows to make good on its campaign pledge to deport the millions of illegal immigrants who flooded the country under the Biden administration.A district judge issued a temporary restraining order Friday that bars ICE from conducting detention stops in the Central District of California, which includes Los Angeles, unless agents have "reasonable suspicion" that a person is in the country unlawfully. The Trump administration subsequently filed a request with the courts to suspend the temporary restraining order.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 15 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMDemocrats capitalize on GOP Jeffrey Epstein fallout with new demands for Jim JordanDemocrats on the House Judiciary Committee are seizing on Republican fractures over the Jeffrey Epstein case, demanding a public hearing on the issue.A letter from Democrats states, "To that end, we request that the Committee invite and, if necessary, subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel, and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino to testify publicly about the Trump Administrations review of the Epstein matter, including the conclusions set forth in the undated and unsigned Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI memo providing that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.'"They made the request to House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, a close ally of President Donald Trump's.The letter, led by Jamie Raskin, D-Md., and Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., is also signed by progressives like Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas.COMER DISMISSES BIDEN DOCTOR'S BID FOR PAUSE IN COVER-UP PROBE: 'THROWING OUT EVERY EXCUSE'The memo they referenced, first reported earlier this week, said the late pedophile died by suicide. It also said there is no list of clients whom Epstein may have procured for exploitation by third parties. It's ignited a firestorm within the GOP, with far-right figures going after the attorney general for what they see as backpedaling on her promise to deliver full transparency on the Epstein files.Democrats, meanwhile, have appeared to put their concerns about fanning the flames of what the left has long seen as a conspiracy theory aside to use the Epstein case as a political cudgel to further divide Republicans.Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino reportedly considered quitting his federal role over how the Epstein case was handled.Trump has been among Bondi's most ardent defenders in the fallout and has publicly urged his base to move on from the discord. The letter Tuesday from Democrats pointed out that Trump, Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel all made public statements regarding Epstein before taking power."President Trump and his top appointees at the DOJ and FBI have spent years advancing theories that the Deep State has been suppressing the true magnitude of the child sex trafficking and abuse ring created by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates," the Democrats said."These claims have sunk deep into the public consciousness, due in no small part to President Trump, Mr. Patel, Mr. Bongino, and others continued authoritative hyping of 'Epstein files' conspiracy theories to energize President Trumps supporters."They warned "the public will turn to conspiracy theories to fill the void of credible information" if "facts and evidence" were not made clear.'GONE TOO FAR': GOP LAWMAKERS RALLY AROUND TRUMP AFTER MUSK RAISES EPSTEIN ALLEGATIONS"The Trump DOJ and FBIs handling of the Jeffrey Epstein matter, and President Trumps suddenly shifting positions, have not restored anyones trust in the government but have rather raised profound new questions about their own conduct while increasing public paranoia related to the investigation," the letter said."We must submit to public scrutiny President Trumps and MAGAs longstanding claims about the Epstein files, new questions as to whether President Trump himself has something to hide, whether he is keeping damaging information secret to protect other individuals or to maintain future blackmail leverage over public and private actors or, perhaps the simplest explanation, whether President Trump and his Administration magnified and disseminated groundless Epstein conspiracy theories for purposes of political gain which they are now desperately trying to disavow and dispel."Trump has denied any allegations of impropriety related to Epstein.Fox News Digital reached out to Jordan's office for comment but did not immediately hear back.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 11 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COM'Coffee enema' social media trend sparks health concerns among doctorsAn online trend is taking morning coffee to a whole new level, as some people on social media are conducting "coffee enemas."An enema is a medical procedure that involves injecting a solution into the rectum and lower part of the colon (the large intestine), according to Rosario Ligresti, M.D., chief of gastroenterology at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey."The primary purpose is to stimulate a bowel movement, but it can also be used to administer medication or for diagnostic purposes," he told Fox News Digital.DAILY COFFEE DRINKING LINKED TO MAJOR HEALTH BENEFIT IN WOMEN AS THEY AGE, STUDY FINDSA coffee enema is a type of colon cleanse used in alternative medicine, under the assumption that absorbing compounds in the coffee will trigger the liver to detox the body, Ligresti said. This practice, which was popularized in the 1920s and 1930s, is a central component of the "Gerson therapy," an alternative cancer treatment, according to the doctor."Interestingly enough, one of my patients just asked me about [coffee enemas]," Ligresti shared. The procedure is similar to a regular enema, except the water is mixed with brewed, caffeinated coffee and flushed into the colon through the rectum. The coffee-water blend is held in the colon for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the body to absorb the compounds through the intestinal wall before expelling the liquid.POPULAR COFFEE ALTERNATIVE MAY HELP PREVENT CANCER, SAY EXPERTSEnemas have been used as detox tools in ancient Egyptian, Greek and Ayurvedic practices, "but the use of coffee specifically is a more modern adaptation," noted Mona Sharma, a Los Angeles-based nutritionist, wellness entrepreneur and member of the iFIT Science Council."In my practice, Ive worked with clients who say they feel energized, clear-headed or lighter after a coffee enema," Sharma told Fox News Digital. "That said, this is not my first go-to for detoxification."She noted that her clients' experiences are "anecdotal and not backed by conclusive clinical research."Ligresti confirmed that there are no scientifically proven health benefits to doing a coffee enema."The idea that enemas can detoxify the body is a myth," he said. "The liver and kidneys are the body's natural detoxification systems."As a wellness advocate, Sharma said that she also believes in supporting the bodys "natural intelligence.""Our organs are incredibly capable of self-cleansing when we nourish them properly," she said.Sharma recommends "detox-friendly" practices like leafy greens, bitter herbs and grounding to "help our systems do what they were designed to do: heal, repair and thrive."The risks of using a coffee enema are well-documented, Ligresti warned, including burns and infections stemming from introducing hot coffee to the sensitive areas of the body.It is even possible to overdose on caffeine after absorbing a toxic amount, potentially leading to anxiety, heart palpitations and, in severe cases, seizures or death, according to the expert. While some people do experience short-term benefits, acccording to Sharma, coffee enemas present potential risks "especially for those with gut disorders, hemorrhoids, heart issues or electrolyte imbalances."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTER"Based on current medical evidence and the consensus of major health organizations, no one should consider a coffee enema," Ligresti advised.Experts agree that only traditional enemas and subsequent injected solutions are safe medical tools for treating constipation and preparing the bowel for procedures under the guidance of a healthcare professional. For more Health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/healthIf someone still chooses to explore this therapy, Sharma recommends doing so only under the supervision of a knowledgeable practitioner who can monitor for deficiencies or complications.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 11 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWhite House investigating Biden use of autopen in sprawling probe of incompetent and senile former presidentEXCLUSIVE: The White House is investigating former President Joe Bidens use of the autopen, with senior administration officials telling Fox News Digital that they already are reviewing tens of thousands of documents turned over by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).Officials told Fox News Digital that the White House Counsels Office is leading the investigation, but said they are coordinating with the Justice Department.BIDEN ONLY HAND-SIGNED ONE PARDON DURING FINAL SPREE, AND IT WAS HIS MOST CONTROVERSIAL ONEThe investigation is focused on communications and other records related to Bidens use of the autopen.A senior administration official told Fox News Digital that they are not yet ready to discuss any discoveries, but said NARA already has provided more than 27,000 records to the White House."Joe Biden was the worst, most incompetent, and senile president in our country's history," press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital Tuesday. "It has been widely reported that Joe Biden handed the power of the presidency to an autopen controlled by unelected leftist staffers, who were allowed to make terrible decisions that destroyed our country.""The Trump White House is committed to finding the answers to the many outstanding questions the American people still have about how business in the Biden White House was conducted," she said. The official told Fox News Digital that they expect to review upward of one million documents. As for access to records held by NARA, the official said each sitting president has access to documents held by the archives from the prior administration.Senior administration officials told Fox News Digital that the scope of the review covers relevant documents related to Biden's presidency and use of the autopen over several years, in an effort to bring transparency to the American people regarding the former presidents health.Officials also said they are specifically reviewing whether there was any policy in place to safeguard the use of the autopen."What did the former president direct, versus what he did not," one official explained. "The only time a legitimate use of the autopen should happen is if the president said he wanted something done, or if he was asked for his approval.""This has been a priority for the administration since the beginning," another official said. "The presidents signature is one of the most important signatures in the world."WHAT IS AN AUTOPEN? THE SIGNING DEVICE AT THE HEART OF TRUMP'S ATTACKS ON BIDEN PARDONS"Was the autopen inappropriately used?" an official asked. "The White House and DOJ are reviewing documents through NARA and expect to do a deep dive on hundreds of thousands more documents."Biden used the autopen to sign a slew of documents while in office. He also used the autopen to sign final pardons, including preemptive pardons for members of his family, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, and members and staff of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots. He only signed one pardon by hand, for his son Hunter, after vowing to the American people for months he would not do so.In his final weeks in office, Biden granted clemency and pardoned more than 1,500 individuals, in what the White House described at the time as the largest single-day act of clemency by a U.S. president. An autopen is a machine that physically holds a pen and features programming to imitate a persons signature. Unlike a stamp or a digitized print of a signature, the autopen has the capability to hold various types of pens, from a ballpoint to a permanent marker, according to descriptions of autopen machines available for purchase."The question is, did Biden surrender his Article II executive authorities to unelected staffers that the American people dont know, and to a machine that holds the same legal authority as his right hand, because he wasnt capable of doing the job?" one official said. "Did unelected staffers, radical staffers, use the power of this machine to radically transform America?"Biden, in a recent interview with the New York Times, defended his use of the autopen, saying that he "made every decision" on his own."Were talking about (granting clemency to) a whole lot of people," Biden said. However, the Times reported that Biden "did not individually approve each name for the categorical pardons that applied to large numbers of people," according to the former president and his aides.Congressional committees, like the House Oversight Committee, also are investigating the use of the autopen and Biden's health while in office.TRUMP CLAIMS BIDEN PARDONS ARE VOID, ALLEGING THEY WERE SIGNED VIA AUTOPENA senior administration official recognized their simultaneous effort, but stressed that the White House Counsel's investigation is completely separate from the congressional probe.Officials told Fox News Digital that the investigation is a "massive effort," and one that they hope to finish "as soon as possible.""Lawyers are working diligently to get answers," one official said. "It is important for the American people to know to what extent the media played a cover-up on Biden's well-being, and which signatures were at his direction and which were at the direction of his staff."The official added: "They elected a president not a staff."As for Trump, officials told Fox News Digital that he does not use the autopen for anything that could be considered official business. The only time Trump may use the autopen is for unofficial business, including correspondence, letters for birthdays, or commissioned records for widely shared documents."Nothing that would be considered official business," a White House official told Fox News Digital. "Every executive order signing has been public and the president has signed these documents live and in person."Trump, in June, sent a memo to the Department of Justice directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate the autopen use, and to determine whether it was related to a decline in Biden's mental state.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 11 Visualizações 0 Anterior

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMHuckabee demands Israel 'aggressively investigate' murder of Palestinian American killed in 'terrorist act'The U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, on Tuesday called on Israeli authorities to "aggressively investigate" the killing of Sayfollah Musallet, a 20-year-old Palestinian American who was reportedly beaten to death by a gang of extremist settlers in the West Bank village of Sinjil on Friday."We have asked Israel to aggressively investigate the murder of Saif Mussallet, an American citizen who was visiting family in Sinjil when he was beaten to death in the West Bank," Huckabee wrote on X. "There must be accountability for this criminal and terrorist act. Saif was only 20 years old."According to the family, Musallet was visiting the West Bank from Tampa, Florida, to reconnect with relatives and visit family-owned farmland.ISRAEL ADMITS IDF LIKELY KILLED AL JAZEERA JOURNALIST 'ACCIDENTALLY'"This is an unimaginable nightmare and injustice that no family should ever have to face," the family said in a statement. "We demand the U.S. State Department lead an immediate investigation and hold the Israeli settlers who killed Saif accountable for their crimes."Israeli military officials said the confrontation began when Palestinians threw rocks at settlers, lightly injuring two. IDF forces were deployed to the area and used non-lethal crowd control methods, the army said.So far, no Israeli suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings. Two Israeli minors detained on Friday night for suspected involvement in public disturbances were later released to house arrest. A reserve soldier questioned by the military police over the shooting during the incident was also released.BIDEN SANCTIONS ISRAELI SETTLERS IN WEST BANK AFTER SHOOTING OF US TEENThe Palestinian Health Ministry said Musallet was fatally beaten during an attack by settlers in the area. Another man, 23-year-old Mohammed al-Shalabi, was shot in the chest and also killed during the same incident.Sources in the Israeli police told Haaretz newspaper that the lack of an autopsy and the fact that the bodies were not transferred to Israeli authorities may complicate the investigation.A military court also released Abdullah Hamida, a Palestinian resident arrested during the settler raid, criticizing police conduct. During the hearing, the police representative admitted he was unaware that any Palestinians had been killed, and incorrectly claimed the only wounded were settlers. The State Department acknowledged awareness of the incident but declined further comment, Reuters reports, citing "respect for the privacy of the family and loved ones."0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 16 Visualizações 0 Anterior
