WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWhat Trump told faith leaders after slamming AT&Ts tech issues that nearly prevented massive callPresident Donald Trump celebrated his administration's work curbing anti-Christian bias while rallying support for the passage of the "big, beautiful bill" as the "most pro-family legislation" in recent history during a massive phone call with faith leaders that was nearly postponed due to tech issues, Fox News Digital learned."When we pass the one big, beautiful bill, we'll also have a tremendous victory for school choice," Trump said on the Monday phone call, according to comments shared with Fox News Digital. "This bill is the most pro-family legislation in modern times. It also expands the Child Tax Credit and creates brand new Trump Accounts for every newborn child helping them to get a stronger life, which is what they need. Everyone should let their congregations and members of Congress know that they support the one big, beautiful bill."Trump spoke with more than 10,000 faith leaders during his first Faith Office National Conference call of his second term. Faiths stretching from Christianity, Judaism and Islam were represented on the call, which was also joined by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, faith director of the White House Faith Office Jenny Korn and advisor to the White House Faith Office Paula White, Fox News Digital learned. The call nearly didn't happen and was on the verge of being postponed, according to Trump's Truth Social post Monday afternoon that railed against phone company AT&T for being "unable to make their equipment work properly."TRUMP HOSTS FAITH LEADERS FOR EASTER PRAYER DINNER, SLAMS EFFORT TO RID AMERICA OF CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES"Im doing a major Conference Call with Faith Leaders from all over the Country, and AT&T is totally unable to make their equipment work properly," Trump wrote in his first message. "This is the second time its happened. If the Boss of AT&T, whoever that may be, could get involved It would be good. There are tens of thousands of people on the line!""I apologize for the long wait on the Faith Leaders Conference Call. AT&T ought to get its act together," he added in another post before the call carried on. "Please pass along the word to the tens of thousands of people who are there. We may have to reschedule the call, but well use another carrier the next time. AT&T obviously doesnt know what theyre doing!""Weve reached out to the White House and are working to quickly understand and assess the situation," AT&T said on X Monday in response to Leavitt sharing Trump's Truth Social post."Following up Our initial analysis indicates the disruption was caused by an issue with the conference call platform, not our network," the company added in another X post. "Unfortunately, this caused the delay, and we are working diligently to better understand the issue so we can prevent disruptions in the future."Trump celebrated his administration's wins protecting religious liberty, according to comments obtained by Fox News Digital of the call that included no members of the media."Together, we're fighting to defend religious liberty like no administration is ever done before," Trump told the thousands of faith leaders. "Starting on day one when I stopped the radical war on Christians. I pardoned the pro-life activist thrown in jail for praying in peaceful protest, and there were many of them."TRUMP JOKES HIS ADMIN WILL 'FORGET ABOUT' SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE: 'WE'RE BRINGING RELIGION BACK'"We reinstated the service members thrown out of our military over religious objections to the Biden vaccine mandates and restoring them to their former rank with full backpay and penalties," Trump continued before also touting that he set up a "DOJ task-force to eradicate anti-Christian bias who would ever think but that's happening also, and it has happened, and nobody ever talks about that."Trump's address followed the U.S. military's surprise attacks on Iran on June 22 that destroyed a trio of nuclear facilities in the country.Dubbed "Midnight Hammer," the operation followed Israel launching preemptive strikes on Iran on June 12 after months of attempted and stalled nuclear negotiations, and subsequent heightened concern that Iran was advancing its nuclear program.Trump celebrated to the faith leaders that the U.S. successfully ended the "12 Day War" between Israel and Iran with the strikes.INSIDE DONALD TRUMPS RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, IN HIS OWN WORDS: 'I WAS SAVED'"As we restore prosperity for American families at home, we're also bringing peace and stability back to our world. Earlier this month we carried our historic strikes against Irans nuclear program, and we ended the 12 Day War," Trump said."I also stopped the conflict between Indian and Pakistan. On Friday, we signed a historic peace agreement to end the terrible conflict between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo," he added.0 Comments 0 Shares 1 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJudge strikes down Trump order preventing asylum requests, protections for illegal immigrantsA federal judge on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trumps executive order that sought to prevent migrants crossing the border from seeking asylum or applying for withholding of removal in the U.S., a major blow to Trump as he looks to further enforce his broad immigration crackdown.U.S. District Judge Randolph Daniel Moss, an Obama appointee, said Wednesday that Trumps Jan. 20 proclamation, which sought to block all migrants "engaged in the invasion across the southern border" from claiming asylum or seeking withholding of removal, exceeds his authority siding with a group of 13 asylum-seekers and immigrants rights groups who sued over the proclamation earlier this year. The group urged the court in February to block Trump's proclamation from taking force, arguing that the action was "as unlawful as it is unprecedented."Moss, who heard arguments in the case in April, appeared to agree. Trump, he said in his order, "lacks the inherent constitutional authority" to supplant federal statutes governing removals.JUDGES V TRUMP: HERE ARE THE KEY COURT BATTLES HALTING THE WHITE HOUSE AGENDA"To hold otherwise would render much, if not most, of the INA simply optional," the judge said.Moss elaborated further in the 128-page opinion, saying neither theU.S. Constitution nor the Immigration and Nationality Act grant Trump the authority to "replace the comprehensive rules and procedures set forth in the INA and the governing regulations.""The Court recognizes that the Executive Branch faces enormous challenges in preventing and deterring unlawful entry into the United States and in adjudicating the overwhelming backlog of asylum claims of those who have entered the country," Moss said in his order."But the INA, by its terms, provides the sole and exclusive means for removing people already present in the country, and, as the Department of Justice correctly concluded less than nine months ago, neither 1182(f) nor 1185(a) provides the President with the unilateral authority to limit the rights of aliens present in the United States to apply for asylum."JUDGES V TRUMP: HERE ARE THE KEY COURT BATTLES HALTING THE WHITE HOUSE AGENDAMoss stayed the order for a 14-day period to allow the Trump administration to seek emergency relief and appeal the case to a higher court. The judge also granted plaintiffs' request to certify a class of migrants who would were either subject to the proclamation or would be in the future, which he said would not be affected by last week's Supreme Court ruling in Trump v. Casa, which limited the scope of injunctive relief courts can provide. The decision was blasted by Trump adviser Stephen Miller, who described Moss as a "marxist" judge in a post on X."To try to circumvent the Supreme Court ruling on nationwide injunctions a marxist judge has declared that all potential FUTURE illegal aliens on foreign soil (eg a large portion of planet earth) are part of a protected global "class" entitled to admission into the United States," Miller said. The news comes as Trump has sought to prioritize hard-line immigration policies in his second presidential term. The Supreme Court heard oral arguments earlier this year over another order Trump signed, which seeks to end birthright citizenship in the U.S.The administration has also cracked down on deportations, invoking a 1798 wartime immigration law to more quickly send hundreds of migrants to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador earlier this year.0 Comments 0 Shares 1 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMBernie Sanders blasts Paramount, says lawsuit settlement will further embolden Trump to attack mediaSen.Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.,blasted Paramount Global on Wednesday for settling President Donald Trumps "election interference" lawsuit against CBS over the networks handling of a "60 Minutes" interview last year with then-Vice President Kamala Harris.Sanders previously urged Paramount controlling shareholder Shari Redstone not to settle the lawsuit he called an "attack on the First Amendment" but to no avail. The company agreed to an eight-figure payment and changes to its editorial policy on Tuesday night in what media critics called a shameful capitulation."The decision by the Redstone family, the major owners of Paramount, to settle a bogus lawsuit with President Trump over a 60 Minutes report he did not like is an extremely dangerous precedent in terms of both the First Amendment and government extortion," Sanders said to begin his scathing statement.PARAMOUNT, CBS FORCED TO PAY EIGHT FIGURES, CHANGE EDITORIAL POLICY IN SETTLEMENT WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP"Paramounts decision will only embolden Trump to continue attacking, suing and intimidating the media which he has labeled the enemy of the people. It is a dark day for independent journalism and freedom of the press an essential part of our democracy," Sanders continued. "It is a victory for a president who is attempting to stifle dissent and undermine American democracy.Trump will receive $16 million upfront. This will cover legal fees, costs of the case, and contributions to his future presidential library or charitable causes, to be determined at Trumps discretion. There is an anticipation that there will be another allocation in the mid-eight figures set aside for advertisements, public service announcements, or other similar transmissions, in support of conservative causes by the network in the future, Fox News Digital has learned. Current Paramount management disputes the additional allocation, but a long-planned merger with Skydance Media is set to put new leadership in place.'60 MINUTES' KAMALA HARRIS INTERVIEW AT CENTER OF TRUMP LAWSUIT RUNS AFOUL OF CRONKITE-ERA CBS GUIDELINES"Its pretty obvious why Paramount chose to surrender to Trump. The Redstone family is in line to receive $2.4 billion from the sale of Paramount to Skydance, but they can only receive this money if the Trump administration approves this deal. In other words, theRedstonefamily diminished the freedom of the press today in exchange for a $2.4 billion payday," Sanders added."Make no mistake about it. Trump is undermining our democracy and rapidly moving us towards authoritarianism and the billionaires who care more about their stock portfolios than our democracy are helping him do it," Sanders added. "That is beyond unacceptable."A source familiar with Paramounts current leadership told Fox News Digital that only the initial $16 million was sanctioned by the official mediator, and they had no knowledge of any deal Trump may have made with incoming ownership.Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., also took to X to accuse Paramount of taking a "bribe" and threatened future federal charges."Paramount just paid Trump a bribe for merger approval. When Democrats retake power, Ill be first in line calling for federal charges. In the meantime, state prosecutors should make the corporate execs who sold out our democracy answer in court, today," Wyden posted.Paramount insisted it was business as usual when asked about statements made by Sanders and Wyden."Companies often settle litigation to avoid the high and somewhat unpredictable costs of legal defense, the risk of an adverse judgment that could result in significant financial or reputational damage, and the disruption to business operations that prolonged legal battles can cause. Settlement offers a negotiated resolution that allows companies to focus on their core objectives rather than being mired in uncertainty and distraction," a Paramount spokesperson told Fox News Digital.A source close to Trump mocked the liberal lawmakers."The socialists of the Democrat Party, like Sanders and Wyden, have rarely seen a business transaction where they didnt want a full government intervention. President Trump is running circles around them and all they do is cry," the source told Fox News Digital.TOP '60 MINUTES' PRODUCER RESIGNS FROM SHOW, CITES LACK OF INDEPENDENCETrumps legal team took a victory lap after the settlement was announced."With this record settlement, President Donald J. Trump delivers another win for the American people as he, once again, holds the Fake News media accountable for their wrongdoing and deceit. CBS and Paramount Global realized the strength of this historic case and had no choice but to settle.President Trump will always ensure that no one gets away with lying to the American People as he continues on his singular mission to Make America Great Again," a spokesperson for Trumps legal team told Fox News Digital.0 Comments 0 Shares 1 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMThe gross reason airplane passengers might want to avoid using the water on flightsFlying with hundreds of other people at one time can be a gateway to illness.Various airplane surfaces such as overhead bins, tray tables, instruction cards and seat covers are some of the biggest sources of germs, according to flight attendants.Even the water in the bathroom can pose a risk leading some people to question whether it's even sanitary to wash one's hands on a flight.4 BIGGEST HANDWASHING MISTAKES THAT COULD INCREASE GERMS AND VIRUSES"It's a good idea for passengers to use hand sanitizer after stowing away their luggage, touching anything in the seat pocket in front of them, and going to the bathroom," flight attendant and travel blogger Josephine Remo, who is based in Portugal, previously told Travel & Leisure.Bathrooms can be especially dirty, as the toilets are regularly cleaned, but the locks and door handles may not be, according to Remo. The water in the bathroom can contain a plethora of contaminants, research suggests, which could be found in bathroom sink water and drinking water, as well as the coffee, tea and ice served onboard.A 2019 study by the Hunter College NYC Food Policy Center confirmed that select airlines have potentially provided passengers with unhealthy drinking water.Of the 11 major and 12 regional airlines studied, 15 airlines received an Onboard Water Health Score of 2 or lower out of 5.HEPATITIS A OUTBREAK INFECTS THOUSANDS OF TRAVELERS AT POPULAR DESTINATIONSThe federal governments Aircraft Drinking Water Rule (ADWR) requires airlines to provide passengers and crew with safe drinking water, according to the researchers.Airlines are also required to test the water for bacteria and E. coli, and to disinfect and flush the aircrafts water tank four times per year."Alternatively, an airline may choose to disinfect and flush once a year, but then it must test monthly," the researchers noted."The 2019 Airline Water Study also finds that the Environmental Protection Agency one of the federal agencies responsible for ensuring safe aircraft drinking water rarely levies civil penalties to airlines in violation of the ADWR."FLIGHT PASSENGER CALLS OUT FELLOW TRAVELER FOR SPRAYING DISINFECTANT, CAUSING COUGHINGIn an interview with Fox News Digital, travel expert and author of ViewFromTheWing.com Gary Leff confirmed that "very little cleaning" happens between most domestic flights."Planes aren't on the ground very long an airline only makes money when their planes are in the air," said the expert, who is based in Austin, Texas. "And cleaning crews often have to come onboard and tidy while passengers are deplaning.""When an inbound aircraft is late, the airline wants to make up time, and cleaning is often sacrificed,"he pointed out. "When airlines face financial struggles, deep cleans are one of the first things cut."Bathrooms can be particularly dirty due to passenger hygiene, according to Leff, and can get "pretty gross" over the course of a flight.Different airlines take different approaches, and cleaning will vary across cabins and classes of service, he noted."I'm not going to suggest it's unsafe, per se just disgusting," Leff said."Don't go into the [lavatory] with bare feet. Bring your own sanitizer. And consider wiping down surfaces you'll be touching if you're so inclined, just knowing that this hasn't been done for you."Fox News' senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel also confirmed to Fox News Digital how "filthy" airplane bathrooms tend to be, including the water, as various studies have shown."The tray tables are common surfaces that can be covered with bacteria and viruses," he cautioned."And though the HEPA filters overhead are effective, they dont really work until the plane is in the air and the filtration system is fully engaged. And [they] dont prevent the person next to you from coughing on you."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTERBefore and during a flight, the doctor suggested keeping well-hydrated, which can help fight off infection by keeping nasal membranes moist. He also encourages the use of sanitizers, wipes or gels to disinfect surfaces and hands."I prefer washing hands thoroughly with soap, but on planes, I prefer sanitizers and wipes," Siegel said.In a statement sent to Fox News Digital, the EPA explained that the primary purpose of the ADWR is to "ensure that safe and reliable drinking water is provided to aircraft passengers and crew through requiring development and implementation of aircraft water system operations and maintenance plans that include strategies for monitoring, disinfection, and reporting."The EPA revealed that drinking water safety is "jointly regulated" by the EPA, FDA and FAA."The regulatory structure for all public water systems, including aircraft, relies upon self-monitoring and reporting of results to the primacy agency," the agency said. "The EPA is responsible for oversight of the aircraft public water systems and provides guidance to help air carriers comply with ADWR."For more Health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/healthAn FAA spokesperson told Fox News Digital in a statement that the FAA is an "aviation safety agency" and water quality is "not within our regulatory authority."Fox News Digital reached out to OSHA for comment.0 Comments 0 Shares 1 Views 0 Reviews
