Noem uncovers and kills multimillion-dollar, Biden-era DEI, LGBTQ program
FIRST ON FOX: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and theDepartment of Homeland Security (DHS) uncovered and killed a multimillion-dollar program enacted by the Biden administration that pushed fordiversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and "inclusive environments in schools."The Invent2Prevent program was originally designed to provide students with tools to prevent terror and violence in their communities. However, the Biden administrations DHS contracted with mainly far-left organizations, which curved the curriculum to focus on a DEI and LGBTQ agenda.Estimates from DHS project that cutting the program will save the agency more than $1.5 million.NEW DATA REVEALS BORDER CROSSINGS REACH RECORD LOWS AMID TRUMP ADMIN'S CRACKDOWN"President Trump was given a mandate by the American people to eliminate wasteful government spending, and that is exactly what we are doing," Tricia McLaughlin, DHS assistant secretary, told Fox News Digital. "This program was not only wasteful, it was also using public money to support an openly partisan and political organization."Politicized NGOs like Eradicate Hate have been siphoning away taxpayer dollars for far too long. We are ending the grift."Invent2Preventswebsite now displays a banner reading that the page includes "archived content" and that the material on the site "contains outdated information that may not reflect current policy or programs."JOHNSON & JOHNSON DENIES ENGAGING IN ILLEGAL DEI PRACTICES AFTER GROUP MAKES CIVIL RIGHTS COMPLAINTThe Biden administrations push for DEI in the private sector and the federal government came in many forms, but one of former President Joe Bidens most prominent moves was the "Advancing Equity and Racial Justice Through the Federal Government" executive order the former president signed on his first day in office. The subject of DEI policies played a big role in the 2024 presidential campaign, with then-former President Donald Trump's campaign repeatedly tying DEI to the "woke" agenda.Once President Trump took office, he wasted no time unraveling DEI in the federal government by matching Bidens first-dayexecutive order with his own. "Ending Radical And Wasteful Government DEI Programs And Preferencing" was signed Jan. 20, 2025.TRUMPS EXECUTIVE ORDER BLITZ: WHAT HE'S SIGNED AND WHAT'S CHANGEDThe executive order called for the "termination of all discriminatory programs," which promptedprivate sector companies from Amazon to Goldman Sachs to follow suit in scrapping the Biden-advocated diversity policies.Trump also signed amemorandum in March to remove DEI from the Foreign Service, saying the president "believes all parts of government should be based solely on merit."While DEI policies still exist, there has been a notable shift in rhetoric and some statistics show a decline in practice compared to the Biden administration.

White House says Congress debating footnotes on Big Beautiful Bill, not expecting major changes
Despite the policy challenges facingPresident Donald Trumps "One Big Beautiful Bill," White House Director of the National Economic Council, Kevin Hassett, was unfazed, telling Fox News Digital on Wednesday that he doesnt "expect that there's going to be any issue" with current language in the legislation."I think that what's going on right now is that people are going through really, almost basically, the footnotes," Hassett said in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital. "They're arguing over last-minute language."Hassetts comments come after reports that House GOPmembers are concerned about the version of the bill coming out of the Senate, which would make its way to the House shortly after.HOUSE CONSERVATIVES GO TO WAR WITH SENATE OVER TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL'House Republican Chip Roy, R-Texas,posted to X on Tuesday that if the rumors he was hearing about the Senate version were true, he "would not vote for it as it is."With thin margins in both the House and Senate, consensus among Republicans is critical. The first version of the "One Big Beautiful Bill" passed the House last month by just one vote.As to the pendulum swing between the two chambers, Hassett raised no concerns with congressional drama, saying he doesnt "expect that theres going to be any issue there at all.""I've been briefed on the difference between the Senate and the House language on this matter," Hasset told Fox. "And the differences are incredibly small, and so I don't expect that there's going to be any issue there at all."SENATE REPUBLICANS LOOK TO SWEETEN MEDICAID POT TO SILENCE DISSENT ON TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL'Hassett also made clear the main elements of President Trumps agenda are "hardwired into the bill" and that current debates are just items "around the edges" of the White Houses key proponents."We're making the president's first tax cuts permanent," Hassett explained. "No tax on overtime, no tax tips, no tax on social security, we're securing the border, we're building the Golden Dome. All that stuff is hardwired into the bill.""What they're arguing about now is stuff around the edges of that."TRUMP TELLS CONGRESS: NO ONE GOES ON VACATION UNTIL THE 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL' IS DONEThe president himself has pushed hard for the legislation to be passed quickly, and asked Congress to work toward having the bill signed into law by the Fourth of July."We must finish the job here at home by passing "THE GREAT, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL," and getting the Bill to my desk, ASAP,Trump posted to Truth Social. "It will be a Historic Present for THE GREAT PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, as we begin the Celebration of our Countrys 250th Birthday."Sources tell Fox the Senate vote on the legislation will most likely be taking place this Friday. It will then head back to the House as the presidents July 4th deadline looms.

Mossad Director David Barnea thanked the men and women working for the agency after the success of Israels Operation Rising Lion.He also expressed his appreciation to the U.S. particularly the CIA for their work in countering Irans nuclear program."These are historic days for the people of Israel. The Iranian threat, which endangered our security for decades, has been significantly thwarted thanks to the extraordinary cooperation between the IDF, which led the campaign, and the Mossad, which operated alongside it, with the support of our ally, the United States," Barnea said.INSIDE ISRAELS SECRET WAR IN IRAN: MOSSAD COMMANDOS, HIDDEN DRONES AND THE STRIKE THAT STUNNED TEHRANThe Mossad, Israels equivalent of the CIA, had personnel in Iran ready for the launch of Operation Rising Lion, something that was revealed in unprecedented fashion when the agency released video of its operatives at work.Ahead of the U.S. strikes in the early hours of Sunday morning, Iranian time, there was speculation whether Washington and Jerusalem were coordinating. President Donald Trump made it clear after the strikes that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had been working together behind the scenes."I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before and we've gone a long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel," Trump said in his address to the nation following the strikes on Iran.US STRIKES SET IRAN'S NUCLEAR PROGRAM BACK 'MANY YEARS,' ISRAELI ASSESSMENT FINDSWhile Barnea expressed his gratitude to Israeli and American forces alike, he also said that "the mission is not yet complete.""The Mossad will continue, with determination, to monitor, track, and act to thwart the threats against us just as we always have for the sake of the State of Israel and its people," Barnea said.Iran's nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, said on Tuesday that the country was assessing the damage and preparing to restore the facilities, according to Reuters. He added that Irans "plan is to prevent interruptions in the process of production and services."Both Trump and Netanyahu vowed to respond if Iran rebuilds its nuclear program.

His Instagram account also lists him as a skydiving instructor, wingsuit coach and BASE (Building, Antenna, Span and Earth) jumper. In the BBC-produced documentary, filmmakers follow Byrne's journey to champion flyer.Byrne told the documentary: "I think I was about 13 when I said to my dad that I wanted to learn to fly like a bird."FRENCH PILOT OF PLANE THAT DECAPITATED SKYDIVER FOUND GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTERHe said that an office job scared him far more than the fear of dying from a base or wingsuit jump. He insisted that good preparation was at the heart of all his jumps and kept him safe and acknowledged that the high-risk sport worried his family.Byrne climbed Mount Kilimanjaro at age 12, became a licensed paraglider at 14, completed his first skydive at 16 and was flying in a wingsuit by 18, according to the BBC.Byrne's family released a statement praising him and saying that the sport was "more than just a thrill for Liam - it was freedom. He chased life in a way that most of us only dream of and he soared."The statement continued: "He inspired all of us and made life better with his bold spirit and kind heart. We will miss Liam's wild energy and contagious laugh. Though he has now flown beyond our reach, he will always be with us."There have been a number of wingsuit-related deaths in the U.S., including a January 2024 incident in which Gregory Coates, 36, died in Colorado after both his primary and reserve parachutes failed to deploy. In September, Jonathan Bizilia, 27, of Alabama died in a jump in Utah.

Supreme Court rules against Planned Parenthood in Medicaid funding dispute
The Supreme Court has ruled that South Carolina has the power to block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood clinics, in a technical interpretation over healthcare choices that has emerged as a larger political fight over abortion access. The case, Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, centers on whether low-income Medicaid patients can sue in order to choose their own qualified healthcare provider. The federal-state program has shared responsibility for funding and administering it, through private healthcare providers.South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster had been pushing to block public health dollars from going to Planned Parenthood, but a resident and patient at Planned Parenthood South Atlantic argued that doing so violated her rights under the Medicaid Act.SUPREME COURT DIVIDED OVER STATE EFFORT TO DEFUND PLANNED PARENTHOODThe key provision in the 1965 Medicaid Act guarantees patients a "free choice of provider" that is willing and qualified.Much of the conflict dealt with whether Planned Parenthood was a "qualified provider" under the Medicaid law, and whether individual patients have an unambiguous "right" to sue to see their provider of choice, under its specific language. The Supreme Court split 6-3 in the opinion, with the three liberal justices dissenting.Federal law already prohibits Medicaid money from going to pay for abortions, with very limited exceptions. South Carolina bans almost all abortions around six weeks after conception, or when cardiac activity is detected, with limited exceptions. In South Carolina, Medicaid patients often seek out Planned Parenthood because it accepts publicly funded insurance. Blocking the provider from Medicaid networks could effectively defund it.There are just two Planned Parenthood clinics in South Carolina, but every year they take hundreds of low-income patients for reproductive healthcare, including contraception, cancer screenings and pregnancy testing, according to the Associated Press.Planned Parenthood South Atlantic has argued that the case is not about abortion, but about access to general healthcare.SUPREME COURT WILL HEAR PRO-LIFE NONPROFIT'S FREE SPEECH FIGHT AGAINST NEW JERSEYThe case stretches back to 2018, before the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, when McMaster signed an executive order directing the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to remove abortion clinics, including Planned Parenthood South Atlantic (PPSAT), from the state's Medicaid provider list. The governor said Medicaid money for the state's two Planned Parenthood clinics amounted to taxpayers subsidizing abortions. The action essentially barred low-income patients from receiving other services from PPSAT in Columbia and Charleston, including gynecological exams, birth control, cancer screenings, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Lower courts had put that order on hold, leading to the current case. The conservative group Alliance Defending Freedom has argued that a win for South Carolina would still mean Medicaid patients could go to one of 200 other publicly funded healthcare clinics in the state. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals previously sided with Planned Parenthood, ruling that Medicaid patients can sue over their legal right to choose their own qualified provider. The Associated Press contributed to this report. This is a breaking story. New York Republicans warn of 'disaster' if 'dangerous' Zohran Mamdani wins mayoral race
Republicans in the Empire State's congressional delegation are arguing that presumptive Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani would be a "disaster" for New York City if elected."My mother fled communist Cuba to not live in a communist New York," Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., told Fox News Digital. "We need to defeat him because he's very dangerous to the future of the city both from an economic standpoint [and] a public safety standpoint."Malliotakis is the only Republican representing part of New York City in the House. She also ran for mayor herself in 2017, but lost to progressive ex-Mayor Bill de Blasio who also ran a short-lived and relatively unpopular 2020 presidential campaign.REPUBLICANS USE MAMDANI BOMBSHELL VICTORY OVER CUOMO AS AMMUNITION TO BLAST DEMOCRATS AS EXTREMISTSNow, however, Republicans are seeing potential for their own party to grow in the largely Democratic stronghold if the self-proclaimed democratic socialist continues to be as divisive for voters as he has been since hitting the national political stage."No question I mean, he will make Bill de Blasio look competent," Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., who is considering a potential gubernatorial bid in New York, told Fox News Digital when asked if Mamdani would boost Republicans.Lawler called on his fellow New Yorkers in the House Democratic Caucus to publicly declare where they stand on Mamdani."Frankly, for Democrats, this is a time for choosing. Do they align themselves with a radical socialist who engages in antisemitism, hates the police, believes that illegal immigrants should have free everything, and you know, is basically going to destroy the finances of New York City?" Lawler posed. "They can't have it both ways."It is a question Democrats have been wrestling with. Two moderates, Reps. Laura Gillen, D-N.Y., and Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y., released public statements about their concerns. Gillen called Mamdani "too extreme" to lead the city. Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., told reporters "not right now" when asked if he had thoughts on Mamdani on Wednesday.Democrats' highest-ranking congressional officials, however both hailing from Brooklyn expressed tacit support for the mayoral hopeful."He ran an impressive campaign that connected with New Yorkers about affordability, fairness, & opportunity," Schumer said.Long Island Rep. Nick LaLota, R-N.Y., said, "Yes, but nobody should wish that," when asked by Fox News Digital whether a Mamdani victory would help Republicans."I mean, even if it gives us two or three more points on Election Day, nobody should want the policies that come with a Zohran administration," LaLota said. "You look at some of his legislative agenda legalizing prostitution, the city giving out needles to drug addicts, and some other things that suburban voters are fully against."CUOMO CONCEDES IN NYC DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY FOR MAYOR, CONGRATULATES AOC-ENDORSED MAMDANIMamdani's campaign platform includes freezing rent prices for rent-controlled apartments, creating city-owned and operated grocery stores, and eliminating fares for city bus rides.A progressive questionnaire from 2022 shows that while running for the state assembly, he endorsed legalizing sex work and passing legislation "to limit local police cooperation and information sharing with federal immigration authorities, and prohibiting local police from assisting in deportation enforcement."De Blasio, for his part, told "Fox News @ Night" on Wednesday that he believes concerns about Mamdani are overblown."These are not staggering ideas. If he wants to tax the wealthy, he has to get the approval of the legislature. They may or may not give it," he said. "I just think theres a lot of exaggeration here. And were not going to see people leaving in droves."Fox News Digital reached out to Mamdani's campaign for comment. Fox News Digital also reached out to de Blasio for comment via his website.

Elon Musk scam tricks victims on Facebook with Tesla hoax
It started with a Facebook friend request and a message that felt too good to be true. Then,it quickly turned into an expensive lesson in online deception. The woman this happened to in Jensen Beach, Florida, wrote us saying, "He kept telling me it was my lucky day. I had just won a new white Tesla and $250,000 in cash. All I needed to do was send him an Apple Gift Card for $200. So I did. Well, $800 later, he wanted more to pay for the broken-down truck that was on its way to my house to deliver my winnings."The scammer, posing as Elon Musk, used flattery, fake urgency and a convincing profile to lure the victim into a carefully staged hoax. Behind the big promises was someone who walked away with hundreds of dollars in untraceable gift cards. Heres how the scam works and how you can avoid falling for it.Sign up for my FREE CyberGuy ReportGet my best tech tips, urgent security alerts, and exclusive deals delivered straight to your inbox. Plus, youll get instant access to my Ultimate Scam Survival Guide free when you join.A CLOSE CALL WITH A FACEBOOK SCAM THAT TRIED TO STEAL CREDIT CARD INFOThis type of scam often begins after someone posts about Musk, Tesla or cryptocurrency. Scammers monitor public Facebook activity, then send a friend request from an account using Musks name and photo. The profile may look legitimate, with copied images, reposted news articles or AI-generated content.Once the request is accepted, the impersonator encourages the victim to continue the conversation on WhatsApp. From there, the scam unfolds in a way that feels casual but calculated. The victim is congratulated on being randomly selected to win a brand-new Tesla and a large cash prize, often around $250,000. But before the reward can be delivered, they are told to cover "delivery fees" using an Apple Gift Card.In the case of the woman from Jensen Beach, she sent multiple gift cards totaling $800 before realizing the story was a setup. After claiming that a delivery truck had broken down, the scammer requested even more money. That's when she recognized the pattern and blocked the account. But unfortunately, by then, the funds were already gone.SPOT FAKE ONLINE STORES AND AVOID FACEBOOK SUBSCRIPTION SCAMSGift cards are one of the most common tools used in scams because they are fast, anonymous, and nearly impossible to recover once the code is shared. Scammers often claim that the cards are needed to cover fees, unlock a prize or verify your identity. Once a scammer has the code, they can do a few things:Apple Gift Cards are frequently used because they are easy to find in stores and can be used for high-value digital purchases. But scammers also use Google Play, Amazon, Steam and Visa prepaid cards, depending on what they think the victim can access. These requests usually come with urgency. Victims may be told to stay on the phone while buying the cards or to scratch off the back and send a photo of the code right away. That sense of pressure is designed to override second thoughts. If anyone you do not know asks for payment in gift cards, it is a scam. No legitimate organization or contest will ever ask for them as payment or verification.META FACES INCREASING SCRUTINY OVER WIDESPREAD SCAM ADSScams that impersonate celebrities or public figures have become increasingly common. Criminals use well-known names to create a false sense of trust and urgency. Once they have your attention, they use that trust to steal money or personal information. Musk is one of the most frequently impersonated figures in scam campaigns. His name is widely associated with innovation, crypto and high-value giveaways, which makes him a perfect target for fraudsters trying to appear legitimate. Some of the most common Elon-related scams include:What ties these scams together is the use of a familiar face to lower suspicion. The scammer may use deepfake video, AI-generated voice clips or doctored screenshots to make the offer feel more real. Once the target engages, the pressure begins. Victims are asked to send money, act quickly and avoid telling anyone. If a message or ad involves a celebrity offering free money, discounted products or special access to a private opportunity, it is almost certainly a scam.WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)?AI CYBERSECURITY RISKS AND DEEPFAKE SCAMS ON THE RISEThese scams rely on quick decisions, emotional reactions and a false sense of trust. Slowing down and checking for warning signs can help you stay safe. Here are some practical steps:1. Never send gift card codes to anyone you do not know: If someone asks for Apple, Amazon or Google Play cards as payment or verification, it is a scam. No real prize, agency or company will request gift cards.2. Be skeptical of prize claims from celebrity accounts: Musk is not messaging people on Facebook to give away Teslas or cash. If the profile is unverified or the offer feels random, trust your instincts and ignore it.3. Do not move conversations to private apps like WhatsApp or Telegram: Scammers often push for this because these platforms have fewer safeguards, no public comment threads and limited reporting tools. Once the chat moves off Facebook, it becomes much harder to verify or report whats happening. If someone you do not know insists on switching platforms, its usually a sign they are hiding something.4. Consider using a data removal service: If a scammer has targeted you or impersonated you online, chances are your personal information is floating around on data broker websites. These sites collect and sell everything from your home address to your family members names, making you a bigger target for future scams. Data removal services can help you scan the web and request the deletion of your info from these brokers. While you can do this manually, its time-consuming. Services likeIncogni offer subscriptions that automate the process and monitor for new exposures. If youve been scammed or suspect your information was leaked, using a data removal service adds another layer of protection and peace of mind.Check out my top picks for data removal services here.Get afree scanto find out if your personal information is already out on the web5. Watch for common red flags: Be cautious of sudden friend requests from unfamiliar accounts, vague messages that mention surprise winnings, poor grammar or any pressure to act quickly. Scammers often use emotional triggers to override your judgment. If something feels off or too convenient, it probably is.6. Install strong antivirus software on all devices: Some impersonation scams include links to phishing pages or malware. Antivirus tools can block these threats before they reach your inbox. The best way to safeguard yourself from malicious links that install malware, potentially accessing your private information, is to have antivirus software installed on all your devices. This protection can also alert you to phishing emails and ransomware scams, keeping your personal information and digital assets safe.Get my picks for the best 2025 antivirus protection winners for your Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices.7. Use two-factor authentication and a password manager: If a scam compromises your login credentials,two-factor authentication (2FA) can block unauthorized access. Report the scam right away: UseFacebooks reporting tools to flag fake profiles or messages. You can also file a complaint with the FTC atReportFraud.ftc.gov to help warn others.BEST SECURITY CAMERAS TO MONITOR AND IDENTIFY CAR VANDALISMScammers are using Musks name to run fake prize scams, investment traps and Facebook impersonation schemes. In one case, a reader lost $800 after being promised a Tesla and $250,000 in cash, but only if they sent Apple Gift Cards first. These scams rely on trust, speed and celebrity recognition. White House demands apology from Miami Herald for false reporting on migrant children deportations
Members of the White House and Trump administration are hitting back hard against "false reporting" from the mainstream media outlet, the Miami Herald, which alleged that the administration was targeting migrant foster children for deportations. In a Wednesday article by the Miami Herald titled "Trump administration targets Florida foster kids, migrant youth for deportations," the Miami Herald reported that the "Trump administrations mass-deportation campaign is encircling vulnerable children who were previously off-limits and squeezing the social welfare agencies tasked with caring for them."The outlet said that "since Donald Trump began his second term, his administration has directed immigration agents to target unaccompanied minors, moved to cut contracts that fund their legal representation and sent Homeland Security agents to homes where unaccompanied children are released to conduct welfare checks."The outlet also reported that the Trump administration is fast tracking deportations for minors who are documented victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment.TRUMP DHS SUES ENTIRE BENCH OF FEDERAL JUDGES IN MARYLAND DISTRICT COURT OVER AUTOMATIC INJUNCTIONS"The new guidance leaves unprotected those children who lack the ability to apply for lawful permanent residency because visas arent available at the very moment when there is a years-long backlog for green cards," wrote the Miami Herald. However, Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, quickly shot back against the Miami Heralds accusations, saying, calling the story an "absolute embarrassment to journalism.""This story is completely false," said McLaughlin.Contrary to the Miami Heralds reporting, McLaughlin said DHS was "leading efforts to conduct welfare checks on these children to ensure they are safe and not being exploited."HOSPITALS IN SANCTUARY CITIES COULD BE MOST VULNERABLE TO IRAN TERROR ATTACKS, WARNS EXPERTShe said that President Donald Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem "take the responsibility to protect children seriously and are working with law enforcement to reunite the hundreds of thousands of migrant children the Biden Administration lost."In response to the article, the Department of Homeland Securitys official X account posted a message pointing out that around 300,000 unaccompanied children were lost under the Biden administration.DHS said that Trump and Noem are working to "reunite the children the Biden Administration lost."Trump border czar Tom Homan also weighed in, posting on X that "under Joe Bidens watch, hundreds of thousands of migrant kids were trafficked across the border, many turned over to pedophiles and forced labor."TRUMP DHS CONTESTS CLAIM THAT ICE DENIED PREGNANT WOMAN CARE: ABSOLUTELY FALSE"We are rescuing the children Joe Biden condemned. The Miami Herald should report on that," added Homan.Meanwhile, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson called the story "disgusting and false reporting."Jackson told Fox News Digital that "the Miami Herald should apologize for their outrageous, false reporting.""The Trump Administration is working to find the hundreds of thousands of kids that Joe Biden turned over the sex-traffickers, pedophiles, and forced labor," she said. "But apparently the Miami Herald would rather run cover for these disastrous policies than report on the facts."The Miami Herald did not immediately respond to Fox News Digitals request for comment.

WATCH: Republicans share views on gay marriage decade after Supreme Court decision
A decade after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in the United States, some Republican leaders still believe in the traditional definition of marriage between a man and a woman.Fox News Digital spoke with Republican lawmakers on the 10th anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges, the landmark decision that required all states to lawfully recognize and license same-sex marriages.Ten years later, some Republican lawmakers still don't support gay marriage, but they say preventing same-sex couples from getting married is no longer a legislative agenda."My belief is that a marriage should be a man and a woman," Rep. Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital. "I think that's the basis of all civil societies and all strong nations. It doesn't mean I don't love my fellow Americans who take a different view, and clearly there are plenty that do. And whether they are part of same-sex marriages or they just support them, I respectfully disagree."PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT CONFRONTS HIGH ABORTION RATES THREE YEARS AFTER DOBBSArrington said he is a "rule of law guy" and compared the Supreme Court's decision on gay marriage to the Dobbs v. Jackson Womens Health Organization decision in 2022 that overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that constitutionally protected a woman's right to abortion for nearly half a century."Just like with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, that's the new law of the land. There are a lot of Democrats that have problems with that philosophically, and they're gonna express that."NATION'S LARGEST PROTESTANT DENOMINATION CALLS FOR OVERTURNING SUPREME COURT DECISION LEGALIZING GAY MARRIAGEThe Texas Republican, a Christian, said he may have his "philosophical differences on what defines marriage, but the court has spoken.""I'm going to honor that, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna change my values and my beliefs on what defines marriage," Arrington said. "To me, there are higher laws than the laws of our country, and those spiritual laws that I follow supersede them."Several House Republicans who spoke with Fox News Digital agreed with Arrington's sentiment that while they might disagree with gay marriage, they have accepted the ruling as the law of the land."If you ask Cory as Cory, a person who believes that our Constitution was framed upon our Christian, Shenandoah beliefs, then it's very clear that marriage can only exist between a man and a woman," Rep. Cory Mills, R-Florida, said. But Mills added, "I don't see where the federal government should be involved in everyone's bedroom."Republican lawmakers who spoke with Fox News Digital also emphasized it's a personal choice.Rep. Michael Rulli, R-Ohio, said he is a devout Roman Catholic, so he doesn't personally believe in gay marriage."But I do believe we live in America, and when you're over 18, you have a right to choose," Rulli said. "We always support when the Supreme Court has a ruling like that.""Quite frankly, we all have to make our own choices," Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., said. "Not everybody believes that it's a Christian value."Like many of his Republican colleagues, McCormick clarified that, despite his personal Christian beliefs, "The Supreme Court has decided on that, and I stick to that."
