Louisiana jail worker arrested for allegedly helping 10 inmates escape Orleans Parish facility
A now former Orleans Parish Jail maintenance worker has been arrested in connection with the escape of 10 inmates from that jail on Friday.Sterling Williams, 33, has been arrested and charged with 10 counts of principle to simple escape and malfeasance in office, according to a Tuesday morning statement from Attorney General Liz Murrill's office."Williams admitted to agents that one of the escapees advised him to turn the water off in the cell where the inmates escaped from," Murrill said in the statement. "Instead of reporting the inmate, Williams turned the water off as directed allowing the inmates to carry out their scheme to successfully escape."The release said that he was booked into the Orleans Parish Jail, the same one from which he allegedly helped the inmates escape, but that he will be transferred to a different facility."This is a continuing investigation, and we will provide updates as often as possible. We will uncover all the facts eventually and anyone who aided and abetted will be prosecuted to the full extent the law allows. I encourage anyone who knows anything and even those who may have provided assistance to come forward now to obtain the best possible outcome in their particular case," said Murrill. This story is developing.

Border czar Tom Homan says Democrat LaMonica McIver 'broke the law,' should be charged for ICE clash
"She broke the law."That's the message Trump border czar Tom Homan made clear on Tuesday's "Fox & Friends," as he slammed Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver, who now faces federal charges in connection to a physical altercation outside a Newark, New Jersey ICE facility."I said from day one, you cross that line, we're going to ask for prosecution," Homan told co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Lawrence Jones and Brian Kilmeade."[If] you cannot support ICE, shame on you. You can push back against President Trump's immigration agenda, you can protest, but you cannot cross that line. You can't knowingly impede a law enforcement officer, [an] ICE officer. It's a crime. You can not knowingly conceal and harbor an illegal alien from ICE. You cannot commit criminal trespass to our facilities and endanger our employees, and you certainly can't put hands on an ICE agent, so she's going to have to pay the consequences for doing what she did."BORDER CZAR HOMAN SHRUGS OFF OCASIO-CORTEZ'S ICE ARREST WARNING, TELLS HER 'YOU CAN'T INTIMIDATE ME'"She broke the law, and we're going to hold her accountable."Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba is charging McIver for her alleged misconduct towards law enforcement in front of Delaney Hall in the Garden State earlier this month, but is dismissing the trespassing charge against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. In a letter shared on X, Monday, Habba said McIver "assaulted, impeded, and interfered with law enforcement in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111 (a)(1).""That conduct cannot be overlooked by the chief federal law enforcement official in the State of New Jersey, and it is my Constitutional obligation to ensure that our federal law enforcement is protected when executing their duties," she added.DEM LAWMAKERS DEFEND STORMING OF ICE FACILITY, SAY TRUMP ADMIN IS LYING AT ALL LEVELSDemocratic lawmakers made headlines during their visit to conduct an "oversight" inspection into the treatment of ICE detainees at the location. McIver alleged that ICE agents caused an "unnecessary and unsafe confrontation" when they "chose to arrest Mayor Baraka," adding that the charges she faces are "purely political" and "are meant to criminalize and deter legislative oversight."Homan criticized the lawmakers for failing to make an appointment to conduct an oversight visit so they could tour the facility in the same manner as "Fox & Friends Weekend" co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy did last week."This is politics. This is politics over public safety, politics over common sense," he said.Homan said the Newark facility is one of the "finest" in the country and ICE will allow any member of Congress in for a visit."We have the highest detention standards in the industry. That facility puts to shame any other facility in the state of New Jersey, any state or local facility. This facility puts it to shame because the detention standards are so high," he added."[The] detention standards are the highest in the industry, so come on and look at it, but you can't break into the facility. You can't force your way into the facilities, and you can't put hands on an ICE employee. We're not going to tolerate it."Fox News' Cameron Arcand, Alexis McAdams and Greg Wehner contributed to this report.

Maryland's first Black governor blocks reparations bill, disappointing fellow Democrats
The nations only sitting Black governor vetoed reparations legislation, dealing a blow to fellow Democrats and emphasizing his preference to "focus on the work itself" rather than form commissions.Maryland Gov. Wes Moore vetoed SB 587, legislation sponsored by state Sen. C. Anthony Muse, D-Forest Heights, that would have established the Maryland Reparations Commission. The commission would have been tasked with providing recommendations by 2027 "relating to appropriate benefits to be offered to African Americans impacted by slavery and historic inequality."Moore, however, did not issue his veto in any sort of opposition to the overall idea.DEM GOV SAYS MD, WITH $3B DEFICIT, HAS BEEN DOING DOGE 'BEFORE ANYONE KNEW WHAT IT WAS'"I applaud the legislature's work on this bill, and I thank the Black Caucus for their leadership," Moore said in his veto message."We have moved in partnership with leaders across the state to uplift Black families and address racial disparities in our communities. That is the context in which I've made this difficult decision."Moore took issue with the potential for more bureaucracy that the resolution would bear."[N]ow is not the time for another study," he said, citing other recent commissions established, including the Maryland Lynching Truth and Reconciliation Commission."Now is the time for continued action that delivers results for the people we serve."MD GOV DEFENDS $190K TRUMP-CENTRIC IRISH CONSULTANT CONTRACT AS POTUS MOVES IN NEXT DOORSeen as a potential 2028 Democratic presidential hopeful, Moore said he will always defend the history of African Americans in Maryland and focus on narrowing the "racial wealth gap," increasing minority homeownership and "closing foundational disparities."Maryland itself has a mixed history when it comes to slavery, the Civil War and the treatment of African Americans. The state hosts the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway, connecting important towns and sites on the Eastern Shore and into Delaware, where Tubman, her aligned families and groups aided runaway slaves on their way to the relative safety of the North. Its position as an often South-friendly state just north of Washington, D.C., also complicated its position during the Civil War. John Wilkes Booth, the actor who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln, hailed from Bel Air, and his escape from Washington after the assassination led him through Confederate-friendly southern Maryland before crossing the Potomac into Virginia.Dr. Samuel Mudd, the physician who abetted Booth and his colleagues after Lincolns murder, housed them at his property near Leonardtown.Booth felt uncomfortable enough, however, in postwar Maryland that he fled to Virginia -- where he was eventually surrounded and killed by U.S. Marshals at a barn whose foundation now sits unmarked in the middle of the U.S. 301 parkway through Fort A.P. Hills grounds.Marylands legislative Black Caucus also released a statement Friday expressing their disappointment with Moores veto.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"At a time when the White House and Congress are actively targeting Black communities, dismantling diversity initiatives, and using harmful coded language, Governor Moore had a chance to show the country and the world that here in Maryland we boldly and courageously recognize our painful history and the urgent need to address it.""Instead, the states first Black governor chose to block this historic legislation that would have moved the state toward directly repairing the harm of enslavement."The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Hillary Clinton floats Obama, Bill Clinton running for third terms if Trump runs again
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that if President Donald Trump attempts to run for a third term despite constitutional limits, it could give opportunities to other former presidents as well.Trump shut down rumors that he intends to seek a constitutionally prohibited third term in the White House during a recent interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," after he and some allies had floated the idea that he would do it.Clinton, former first lady and wife of former President Bill Clinton, gave a lengthy interview earlier this month at New York's 92nd Street Y that was posted last week about her latest book. Towards the end of the interview, interviewer Margaret Hoover spoke to the 2016 Democratic candidate about chatter that Trump would run for a third presidential term.TRUMP WON'T USE 'LOOPHOLES' TO SEEK THIRD TERM IN WHITE HOUSE"Listen to what Trump says. He telegraphs everything. And often when he's criticizing something he's criticizing them for what he's already done or intends to do," she said in the interview.Clinton noted that she has a friend who said psychologists and psychiatrists would be necessary to understand what is going on."When he says, You know, there are people who think that it could happen, what he's saying is he has people right now in these right-wing think tanks trying to figure out how to make it happen," Clinton said. "And he also has very militant supporters who believe that it should happen, so if it can't happen legally that is not an obstacle."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE"I think you have to take all of it seriously. The best response might be for, you know, Barack and Bill to run too-" Clinton said, as cheers erupted from the audience. "I mean, OK, take your choice! Who do you want for a third term, people? If this is where we're heading, we're going to break the Constitution, give people a choice!"CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"I mean, this is so nuts, I feel embarrassed talking about it, but I think you have to face up to it," Clinton said. "They are going to try to do that."

Sparks expected to fly at high-stakes House hearing on threats against ICE
Partisan sparks are expected to fly on Tuesday as lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee face off over President Donald Trump's strict crackdown on illegal immigration. The panel's subcommittee on oversight is holding a hearing Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. on threats to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations. It comes as tensions still run high over the incident at Delaney Hall Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey, last month, when three House Democrats and the city's progressive mayor were accused of "storming" the facility in a protest against Trump's handling of illegal immigrants.TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL' PASSES KEY HOUSE HURDLE AFTER GOP REBEL MUTINYOne of those Democratic lawmakers, Rep. LaMonica McIver, is being charged with assault, while a charge of trespassing against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka is being dropped. McIver called the charge "purely political."The Tuesday hearing will be led by Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., who represents the southernmost portion of the Garden State."While the Trump administration has taken decisive action to address this crisis, Democrat leaders have worked tirelessly to block those efforts. What happened in my home state of New Jersey is just the latest example, and it is simply unacceptable," Van Drew told Fox News Digital."We witnessed protests, led by elected officials, turn violent against ICE officers who were just doing their jobs. These officials are more focused on protecting violent criminals than ensuring the safety of their own communities."He said the subcommittee's probe would "expose how sanctuary policies and anti-enforcement rhetoric are putting public safety at risk."The top Democrat on the subcommittee is Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, a rising star on the left who has been known to make headlines for verbal outbursts particularly targeting Republicans. Her office did not respond to a request for comment on the hearing. However, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., signaled he was ready to defend the Democratic officials in the middle of the Delaney Hall incident."I assume if they want to do anything to those three members, then I assume they'll get a Trump pardon, right?" Moskowitz told Fox News Digital.Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., said he wanted to take time to review witnesses' submitted testimony before talking about what he would say.Meanwhile, Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, who is also on the panel, said: "What we're trying to understand is, why in the world are Democrats hell-bent on stopping the president from deporting murderers and rapists and terrorists?"HOUSE GOP TARGETS ANOTHER DEM OFFICIAL ACCUSED OF BLOCKING ICE AMID DELANEY HALL FALLOUT"I mean, they're holding up ICE facilities, breaking into them. They've fought us every single step of the way," Gill said."I think we're going to put them on the spot and get to the bottom of it."The Democratic officials at the center of the Delaney Hall incident and their allies have contended that they had every right to be inside the facility as federal officials. Both sides have accused the other of assault and improper handling.

Android scam lets hackers use your credit card remotely
Scammers are always coming up with new tricks. Just when you start feeling confident about spotting phishing emails, suspicious links and fake banking apps, they find a new angle. Lately, they have been getting more creative, turning to the built-in features of our phones to pull off their schemes. One of the latest targets is NFC, the technology behind tap-to-pay.It might seem harmless, but a new scam is using it in ways most people would never expect. An Android malware called SuperCard goes beyond just stealing your card details. It gives attackers the ability to use your card remotely for real transactions. And the worst part is that it all begins with something as simple as a text message.Join the FREE "CyberGuy Report": Get my expert tech tips, critical security alerts and exclusive deals, plus instant access to myfree "Ultimate Scam Survival Guide" when you sign up!SuperCard X stands out from other Android malware because of how it operates. As reported byresearchers at Cleafy, instead of stealing usernames, passwords or verification codes, it uses a method called NFC relay. This allows attackers to copy card data from a victim's device in real time and use it elsewhere to make payments or withdraw cash. The process does not require physical access to the card or knowledge of the PIN.The malware is offered through a Malware-as-a-Service model, which means different cybercriminals can use it in their own regions. This makes the threat more scalable and harder to contain. Unlike most banking trojans, SuperCard X is not focused on one specific institution. It targets any cardholder regardless of which bank issued their card.Another key difference is how stealthy the malware is. It uses minimal permissions and does not include extra features that would make it easier to detect. This lean approach helps it avoid detection by antivirus software and allows it to operate quietly on infected devices.200 MILLION SOCIAL MEDIA RECORDS LEAKED IN MAJOR X DATA BREACHThe fraud begins with a message sent through SMS or WhatsApp. It pretends to be from a bank and warns the recipient about a suspicious transaction. The message includes a phone number and urges the person to call to resolve the issue. This is the first step in gaining the victim's trust.Once on the phone, the attacker poses as a bank representative and walks the victim through a fake security process. This may include asking them to confirm personal details or adjust settings in their mobile banking app, such as removing spending limits on their card.Next, the attacker asks the victim to install a mobile app that is described as a tool to verify the account or enhance security. In reality, this app contains the SuperCard X malware. After the installation, the attacker instructs the victim to tap their card against the phone. The malware then captures the NFC data from the card and sends it to a second phone controlled by the attacker.Using the copied data, the attacker can make contactless payments or make ATM withdrawals almost instantly. This method allows them to steal funds quickly and leaves little opportunity for banks or victims to intervene in time.MALWARE EXPOSES 3.9 BILLION PASSWORDS IN HUGE CYBERSECURITY THREAT1) Be cautious of suspicious texts and calls. Use strong antivirus software:Fraudulent campaigns often begin with an SMS or call that seems to come from your bank. These messages usually claim there's suspicious activity on your account and urge you to click a link or dial a number to resolve the issue. However, this is a tactic used to gain access to your personal information. Always approach such messages with skepticism. The best way to safeguard yourself from malicious links that install malware, potentially accessing your private information, is to have strong antivirus software installed on all your devices. This protection can also alert you to phishing emails and ransomware scams, keeping your personal information and digital assets safe.Get my picks for the best 2025 antivirus protection winners for your Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices.2) Avoid installing apps from untrusted sources:One of the key ways malware like SuperCard X spreads is through deceptive apps that victims are persuaded to install. These apps often look harmless, posing as tools for security or account verification. If you receive a link to download an app via SMS, email or messaging apps like WhatsApp, do not click on it. Instead, only download apps from trusted sources, such as the Google Play Store. Additionally, carefully review app permissions and avoid granting unnecessary access, particularly to sensitive data like NFC, location or personal contacts.3) Turn off NFC when not in use:NFC, or Near Field Communication, is a useful feature that allows contactless payments and data exchanges. However, it can be exploited by attackers to capture your card information without you even realizing it. To minimize your risk of falling victim to NFC-based malware like SuperCard X, turn off NFC when you're not actively using it.On most Android devices, you can do this by going to "Settings," then "Connected Devices" or "Connection Preferences," where youll find the NFC toggle. By disabling NFC, your phone won't transmit data wirelessly, which helps protect your payment card information from being stolen by nearby attackers.4) Keep a close eye on your bank accounts and cards:If your device has come into contact with the SuperCard or anything similar, its possible your banking details are already compromised. Thats why its important to regularly check your transaction history for anything odd, like a small payment you dont remember making or a charge from a strange location could be a sign of misuse. If you spot anything suspicious, report it to your bank right away. Its also worth checking your credit reports every now and then to catch signs of identity theft before they snowball into bigger issues.5) Use a personal data removal service: If scammers have targeted you once, there's a higher chance theyll try again, especially if your personal details (like your phone number, address or email) are easily found online. Data removal services scan people-search sites and brokers, then request the removal of your info. This reduces your exposure and helps prevent future phishing or social engineering attacks. While no service can guarantee the complete removal of your data from the internet, a data removal service is really a smart choice. They arent cheap and neither is your privacy. These services do all the work for you by actively monitoring and systematically erasing your personal information from hundreds of websites. Its what gives me peace of mind and has proven to be the most effective way to erase your personal data from the internet. By limiting the information available, you reduce the risk of scammers cross-referencing data from breaches with information they might find on the dark web, making it harder for them to target you.Check out my top picks for data removal services here.6) Contact your bank and freeze your cards:If you think youve tapped or handled a suspicious card, or if your phone acted strangely afterward, dont brush it off. Call your bank and let them know what happened. They can freeze your card to stop any unauthorized payments and issue a new one for added safety. You should also ask them to monitor your account more closely for a while. On top of that, place a fraud alert with a credit bureau so no one can easily open a new line of credit in your name.7) Consider enrolling in identity theft protection services:If you've been targeted by a sophisticated scam like SuperCard X, there's a chance your personal information, not just your card data, may be at risk. Identity theft companies can monitor personal information, like your Social Security number, phone number and email address, and alert you if it is being sold on the dark web or being used to open an account. They can also assist you in freezing your bank and credit card accounts to prevent further unauthorized use by criminals.See my tips and best picks on how to protect yourself from identity theft.8) Report the scam to your national cybercrime authority: Whether or not you lost money, reporting the scam helps authorities track emerging threats and warn others. You can report such fraud to the FBIsInternet Crime Complaint Center or theFederal Trade Commission. Your report could help catch the people behind the scam or at least shut down their infrastructure.HOW SECURE IS MY PASSWORD? USE THIS TEST TO FIND OUTThe SuperCard X malware campaign represents a significant shift in how cybercriminals are targeting individuals and financial institutions. By exploiting NFC technology and combining it with social engineering tactics, attackers have found a way to bypass traditional fraud detection systems. What's especially concerning is how quickly these attacks unfold, making them harder to detect before the damage is done. As this threat evolves, it's important for both consumers and institutions to recognize the potential risks of these multilayered fraud strategies.Do you think Google is doing enough to protect you from malware? Rewarding racism: How tribal politics is tearing America apart
I have seen much in my time on this earth. Never did I imagine that I would see a White woman call a Black child a racial epithet on a playground and be rewarded with hundreds of thousands of dollars. But, then again, should I have been surprised?Over the last several decades I have witnessed how Black people exploited race from the O.J. Simpson case to Michael Brown in Ferguson and George Floyd in Minnesota. They used race as their catch-all to subvert justice and/or to advance certain racial ideologies. In all of these cases, tribal loyalty trumped everything even if O.J. was a stone-cold killer who nearly decapitated Nicole Simpson or Michael Brown was high on marijuana when he indisputably charged Officer Darren Wilson. Race was the only thing that mattered. We saw that again recently when Karmelo Anthony, a Black teen, received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations after allegedly stabbing a White teen to death at a Texas track meet.I watched in horror as Black people began creating a narrative around this teen and began throwing money at him all before due process. This was nothing but pure racial tribalism and I could see how it would be an affront to those outside the race.A BOLD MOVE TO RESCUE CHICAGO'S YOUTH FROM LEFTIST DEPENDENCYSo when Shiloh Hendrix of Rochester, Minn., called a Black boy of Somali heritage and autistic a racial epithet for the crime of going through her diaper bag, she reacted in a manner that revealed more about her low quality of character than anything.I have kids and anyone who goes to the playground knows that kids are always getting into other peoples stuff. Never once have I heard any decent person insult a kid. You either educate the kid or let the parent know what happened. Thats how you civilize kids. But Shiloh instead spewed racism. When she was being recorded, she doubled down, flipping the camera off and repeated the racial epithet and said, "I dont give a sh**."The video has been spread across social media platforms like X and TikTok. The NAACP held a town hall, urging authorities to charge Hendrix with a hate crime. The Rochester Police Department investigated but as of now no charges have been filed against Hendrix. It was at this point that Hendrix flipped the script and decided to make herself the victim here. She launched an online fundraiser called, "Help Me Protect My Family," and said she needed to relocate due to "threats."Many conservatives, outraged at the perceived racial double-standard, decided to reward Shilohs despicable behavior. These tribal conservatives framed Hendrix as a victim of "cancel culture" and said if Blacks can raise money for a black teen charged with murder, then we can support a White lady and her racism. As of May 8, 2025, she had raised $750,000 all for calling a child a racial epithet. Some call this "vice signaling" as opposed to "virtue signaling."Now we have those on the right saying the racial epithet loudly and proudly on social media. We have seemingly endless social media battles where videos featuring the worst attributes of each race are thrown at each other's face.Is America better off? No.Many of us have been fighting for a better America. With Trump in office, we finally have the chance to push back at the racial essentialism that has divided our nation for the last 60 years and even more profoundly so since the death of George Floyd. Engaging in vice signaling costs us the high moral ground and gives ammunition to the Left "See, we told you all along the Right was racist and look at how they uplift a racist."Anyone who knows the left knows that the Shiloh debacle is not going to impact or convince them in any way. The left will just exploit this incident as evidence of racism to fuel its long march. But let me tell you what I know. I know there is a better America out there. There is a better America out there where people are beyond sick and tired of this racial tribalism that gets us nowhere. There is a better America where people want to return to the land of individualism, merit and brotherhood across all class, race, and religious lines. There is a better America out there where people want to surround themselves with like-minded people who realize the great gift they have been given by being born in this country and want to use this gift to make themselves into somebodies.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONI saw this better America for myself several years ago when I stayed on a rooftop for 346 days to raise money for my new community center on the South Side of Chicago. I had no help from the government and I knew my community didnt have the funds to build this center. And Im just a pastor who doesnt know much outside of my faith. All I did was follow the path of Jesus and put my faith in America. What I didnt experience was the lowdown racism of Shiloh Hendrix. Instead, what I experienced was something so beautiful that I will never forget as long as I walk this earth. As I began doing my Rooftop Revelations series, releasing an article and video every day, I started hearing from Americans from all over. Florida. Alabama. Alaska. California. Maine. Rhode Island. Many from places I have never been to. They wrote me letters saying that my stories touched them and they wanted to help. A woman who cleans house wrote that she doesnt make much but wanted to donate her earrings for a day: $85 dollars.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM COREY BROOKS
