WWW.FOXNEWS.COMHarvard alum says university fights Trump more than antisemitism on campusHarvard alumnus Jonathan Harounoff told Fox News Digital on Thursday that Harvard is putting more effort into fighting against the Trump administration than addressing antisemitism on campus."I think it's part of an increasing trend of the university putting all of its resources and force and weight behind fighting against the White House and spending much less time fighting against antisemitism and the problems that have got the university to where we are now," Harounoff told Fox News Digital.Harounoff, Israels international spokesperson to the United Nations, reacted to President Donald Trumps feud with Harvard amid the administrations crackdown on antisemitism and allegedly harboring pro-Hamas sentiments on the Ivy League schools campus.TRUMP ACCUSES HARVARD OF BEING 'VERY SLOW' TO TURN OVER FOREIGN STUDENT INFOHarounoff said Harvard should not be a place for endorsing violence and harboring students or employees who have "very unambiguous terrorist sympathies.""I suspect that the reason why Harvard is pushing back is just because it wants to protect all of its student population and that may be the case, but at the same time, the university any university, any employer can't expect the administration to accept students or employees who have very unambiguous terrorist sympathies,"he told Fox News Digital.Harounoff continued, "If those do exist, then they should be addressed head on, but we've seen on plenty of college campuses students and people who have no connection to anything to do with the university on Columbia's campus and elsewhere.""You have people who unambiguously wave the flags of terrorist organizations, whether it's Hamas or Hezbollah, and who are chanting very proudly these openly antisemitic and anti-Western and anti-American slogans on a Western American, what's meant to be philosemitic campus, and that is not acceptable," he said. "And those are not just innocent protests they're open calls for violence. The university should not be a space for endorsing such violence."HARVARD SUES TRUMP ADMINISTRATION OVER TERMINATION OF STUDENT VISA PROGRAM"This administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party on its campus," Department of Homeland Security SecretaryKristi Noem said in a statement announcing the administration's move to eliminate the student visa program due to "pro-terrorist conduct" during campus protests. It is a consequence of what DHS claims is Harvard's refusal to comply with its requests for behavioral records of student visa holders.SeniorState Department officials told Fox News that not only are student visa holders being scrutinized, but all visa holders associated with Harvard are subject to investigation. Along with student visas, the State Department will be conducting a substantive investigation into B-1, or business visas; B-2, or tourist visas; as well as others, officials said. The investigation is aimed at identifying potential security vulnerabilities or other abuses of the visa system. The Department of Homeland Security is eliminating the student visa program at Harvard University due to "pro-terrorist conduct" at campus protests.Harvard has pushed back against the Trump administration by filing legal challenges to the president's orders.A court temporarily paused the Trump administration's move to cancel Harvard's student visa program after the university filed a lawsuit. The judge granted Harvards request for a temporary restraining order to preserve the status quo while the case plays out in court.Harvard said the policy will affect more than 7,000 visa holders nearly a quarter of the student body and is a "blatant violation of the First Amendment, the Due Process Clause, and the Administrative Procedure Act," perits court filing.TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TERMINATES HARVARD'S STUDENT VISA PROGRAMHarounoff told Fox News Digital that one of the proudest moments of his personal and professional career was getting into Harvard."As an international graduate student coming from England, my family was overjoyed, and it was a privilege, and it is a privilege of a lifetime. Harvard is the most famous university in the world. For a long time, it sat on the pantheon of great universities, educational institutions out there for people of all backgrounds, faiths, nationalities," he said."And with that immense global recognition comes huge responsibility," Harounoff continued. "And that's why it's especially difficult and disappointing to see the university fight against the White House in recent months, much harder than it ever appeared to fight against antisemitism, the rampant antisemitism that had been enveloping the Ivy League campus, especially since October the 7."0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 98 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMExclusive video: Feds bust fraud ring accused of stealing $47M in COVID, small business loansFor the second week in a row, the Department of Homeland Security carried out a dramatic, early-morning raid in Los Angeles targeting transnational organized crime rings. This weeks bust netted fourteen arrests from an Armenian fraud ring that investigators say stole $30 million in COVID relief and Small Business loans meant to help taxpaying Americans."If you are taking money from the government that doesn't belong to you, your door could be the next one that we're hitting," said U.S. Attorney for Californias Central District, Bill Essayli.EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: DHS NABS NUMEROUS SUSPECTS IN DRAMATIC STING OF RIVAL LA GANGSFox News was exclusively embedded with DHS in the multi-agency sting that included the IRS and the Small Business Administration.Thirteen of the suspects are Armenian-born but have become naturalized. At least one of the suspects faces deportation."This is the police. We have a warrant. Come out with your hands up!" one officers voice echoed on a loudspeaker attached to an armored vehicle with agents inside. The special unit inside the armored vehicle first cut the chain on a gated driveway and then demanded one of the targeted suspects come out of his L.A.-area home in a sunrise bust. The wanted suspect is Armenian born and uses the name William McGrayan. He surrendered to police in the bust, slowly walking out of his front door towards the armored vehicle with his hands over his head. The criminal complaint says that an informant described McGrayan as "unhinged" claiming he talked about his ties to gangs in Armenia and threatened one person with a gun and baseball bat.7 MEMBERS OF SOUTH AMERICAN THEFT GROUP ARRESTED FOR PHOENIX BURGLARIESInvestigators say McGrayan is the brains of the crime ring that applied to steal $47 million in federal funds and got away with around $30 million. Court documents read that the suspects allegedly used phony documents including fake bank and tax papers to create multiple shell companies that applied for the federal funds."That's $47 million in taxpayer funds that was meant to go to good use, and these transnational criminal organizations are exploiting the American people's good will and using it for their personal gain," said John Pasciucco, Acting Special Agent in Charge for HSI Los Angeles. After the fourteen suspects were arrested, they were brought to an unmarked, specially designated processing center to be booked. Law enforcement seized approximately $20,000 in cash, two money-counting machines, paper cash bands or currency straps in denominations of $2,000 and $10,000, multiple cell phones, multiple laptops, two loaded semi-automatic 9mm handguns, and boxes of 9mm ammunition. The suspects are charged with a range of crimes from conspiracy, wire and bank fraud to money laundering.Authorities say some of the money was spent on houses and luxury goods, other amounts were sent to Armenia, making it harder for the U.S. to trace.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 97 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMTeen illegal immigrant who killed woman in Colorado crash gets probation, then is arrested by ICE with familyAn illegal immigrant teenager who was spared jail time after he was convicted of killing a Colorado woman in a high-speed crash has been arrested, along with his family, by immigration authorities. The 16-year-old from Colombia was sentenced to probation and community service for the July 2024 death of Kaitlyn Weaver, 24, in Aurora after striking a plea deal with prosecutors. The teen, who has not been publicly named because of state laws that shield the identity of underage criminal suspects, was arrested May 20 along with his family, who were also living in the United States illegally, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said.ICE CAPTURES ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT WANTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING MOTHER IN DUI CRASH"The minor was convicted in Colorados 18thJudicial District and was sentenced to probation and community service," an ICE spokesperson told Fox News. "As part of its routine operations, ICE arrests aliens who commit crimes and other individuals who have violated our nations immigration laws. All aliens in violation of U.S. immigration law may be subject to arrest, detention and, if found removable by final order, removal from the United States, regardless of nationality."The teen will remain in ICE custody pending an immigration hearing, the agency said.PROGRESSIVE PROSECUTOR LETS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT TEEN OFF EASY AFTER CRASH THAT KILLED 24 YEAR-OLD WOMANWeaver died after she was sitting in her vehicle at a stop sign and the teen T-boned Weaver's vehicle at an intersection. He was in a Jeep with other minors racing in a residential neighborhood at speeds of up to 90 mph, authorities said.Weaver was kept on life support for two days before she was taken off after her organs were donated. Her father, John Weaver, told Fox News Digital he was told by U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans, R-Colo., that ICE would be taking action against the teen."I appreciate ICE taking enforcement action, and I really appreciate the outpouring of support from everyone," he said. The teen was arrested and initially charged with vehicular homicide. At the time, the Weavers were told by the Arapahoe County District Attorney's office that the case was a "no plea offer" case, John Weaver said. They then offered the teen a plea deal if he admitted his guilt. At the time, the Weaver family attorney, Matthew Durkin, called the deal "abhorrent," in an interview with Fox News Digital, noting that Weaver was killed during the prime of her life.John Weaver noted at the time that the teen was in the U.S. illegally and unlicensed."We had a collision where the immigration system and the criminal justice system collided, and now my daughter's dead," he said. The teen has a pending asylum claim, but, according to ICE, asylum claims do not prevent detention.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 103 Views 0 Anteprima

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMState Dept says DOGE's changes will be permanent amid Musk's departureElon Musk may no longer be the top dog at DOGE, but his reforms at the State Department will remain permanently in place, a senior agency official told Fox News Digital Thursday. As Musk's 130-day mandate as a "special government employee" comes to an end, the billionaire entrepreneur announced his departure from DOGE in a post on his social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Wednesday night.During Musk's time as the head of DOGE, he helped usher in big reforms at the State Department, which included an effective dismantlement of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), staff reductions, and the cancellation of various foreign aid programs due to lack of oversight, inefficiency, and other reasons.WHAT'S NEXT FOR DOGE AFTER ELON MUSK'S DEPARTURE? 'ONLY JUST BEGUN'The indication that Musk's DOGE-related work at the State Department will continue was reinforced by a new reorganization effort at the Department of State announced by Secretary Marco Rubio on Thursday. The new reorganization plans are expected to cut or consolidate more than 300 of the State Department's offices and bureaus as part of a massive overhaul aimed at streamlining the department, according to agency officials. The agency currently has about 700 offices, meaning the reorganization effort will slash, or join, more than 40% of its offices."We have too many godd--- offices," a senior State Department official told Fox News Digital. "Were trying to shrink offices rather than create them."WHITE HOUSE DISCLOSES WHO WILL LEAD DOGE EFFORTS AFTER MUSK'S DEPARTUREThe State Department submitted a notice to Congress Thursday disclosing plans for the reorganization overhaul, which senior State Department officials said will be the largest restructuring for the agency since the Cold War. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt added Thursday that many DOGE employees will remain part of the Trump administration, despite Musk winding down his work."Surely the mission of Doge will continue," Leavitt told reporters Thursday. "Many Doge employees are now political employees."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPOne of Musk's DOGE associates, Jeremy Lewin, has recently been tapped for a top role within the State Department.
