US judge blasts Trump lawyers for 11th-hour tactics in MS-13 deportation case
A federal judge in Maryland scolded Trump administration lawyers on Tuesday for waiting until the eleventh hour to seek an extension in the case of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the Salvadorian migrant and alleged MS-13 member deported to El Salvador in what officials have acknowledged was an administrative error.U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis denied the Justice Departments 30-day extension request, noting that Trump administration lawyers waited until "the very day" their response was due to file. She also said they "expended no effort in demonstrating good cause" to comply with her earlier orders."They vaguely complain, in two sentences, to expending significant resources engaging in expedited discovery," Xinis said of the government's efforts. "But these are burdens of their own making."JUDGE PRESSES TRUMP DOJ ON ABREGO GARCIA DEPORTATION; ANSWERS LEAVE COURTROOM IN STUNNED SILENCEShe also noted the number of times the administration has delayed submitting information in the case despite the fact the Supreme Court ordered the Trump administration this year to "facilitate" Abrego Garcia's return to the U.S."The court has conducted no fewer than five hearings in this case and at no point had defendants even intimated they needed more time to answer or otherwise respond," Xinis said, adding that the defendants are "intimately familiar with the causes of action and of the pending deadline.""Thus, to say now that additional time is needed to do that which the law requires rings hollow," Xinis said in denying the motion.Hours later, the Trump administration filed with the court a motion to dismiss the case, citing what it described as a "lack of jurisdiction." Xinis has not yet responded to the motion to dismiss.TRUMP'S REMARKS COULD COME BACK TO BITE HIM IN ABREGO GARCIA DEPORTATION BATTLEThat filing comes amid a monthlong court fight over the status of Abrego Garcia, who remains in El Salvador.Xinis in April ordered the Trump administration to comply with an expedited discovery schedule to determine whether they were complying with the directive to return Abrego Garcia to the U.S.Since then, lawyers for the government and Abrego Garcia's attorneys have sparred with Xinis in court over what exactly it means to "facilitate" his return. Xinis most recently described the process as beating a "frustrated and dead horse."She previously took aim at what she deemed to be the lack of information they submitted to the court as part of an expedited discovery process she ordered last month, describing thegovernment submissions as "vague, evasive and incomplete" responses, and which she said demonstrated "willful and bad faith refusal to comply with discovery obligations."She also chastised their efforts to invoke the state secrets privilege, noting at a status hearing this month that the administration tried to invoke the privilege via a footnote that referenced a filing in a different case before a different federal judge.100 DAYS OF INJUNCTIONS, TRIALS AND 'TEFLON DON': TRUMP 2ND TERM MEETS ITS BIGGEST TESTS IN COURTShe said that would not pass muster in her court. The order comes as Trump officials have repeatedly alleged that Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS-13 gang, though any formal ties have not been proven.Xinis has indicated growing impatience with the Trump administration's apparent failure to comply with her orders and submit the requested information. This month, she sparred multiple times with DOJ lawyers over their assertions that Abrego Garcia was lawfully detained and deported."I cant count the number of I dont knows my wonderful clerks and I have heard," she said of depositions from Trump administration officials. The order is the latest development in the ongoing feud between Trump officials and the courts over the use of the Alien Enemies Act, a 1798 wartime immigration law used earlier this year to quickly deport migrants from the U.S.To date, the Trump administration has not knowingly complied with any court orders to return migrants who were removed and sent to El Salvador in the early wave of deportation flights, despite earlier court orders from Xinis, Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and others. It is unclear whether Xinis plans to begin contempt proceedings against the administration, though the federal judge in D.C. said earlier this year that he had found probable cause to do so.

Chris Cillizza's Tesla vandalized, says obsession with politics is 'making us all crazy'
Former CNN journalist Chris Cillizza revealed on Wednesday that his Tesla was defaced with a sign reading "Musk is a Nazi," which someone taped to his bumper during his sons soccer tournament over the weekend.Cillizza said on his Substack that the politicization of everyday products is "making us crazy" and deepening the political divide between Americans. He reflected on the "journey" he's been on since purchasing his Tesla about five years ago, noting that owning an electric vehicle once meant "coding yourself as like an enviro-liberal-wacko-communist," but is now seen as a symbol of the right.TESLA DOXXING ATTACKS WRONGLY TARGET NONOWNERS ACROSS AMERICA"Five years ago, my Tesla symbolized everything MAGA world hated. But now it symbolizes everything the left hates?" he questioned. "Doesnt that suggest ascribing meaning to it in the first place was misguided?"The political commentator expressed frustration over the politicization of "everything" in recent years, referencing the backlash he received after visiting Chick-Fil-A, where some of his followers accused him of supporting anti-LGBTQ causes."I didnt eat it because I wanted to send a message to gay people," Cillizza claimed. "I ate it because it was delicious."CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTUREHe also refuted the idea that being a patron of a company equates to endorsing its politics, an argument commonly made by critics of figures like Elon Musk."If your bar is that you never interact with or buy anything from a company whose founder has taken a position with which you disagree or which has donated to a cause you dont support, I find it very hard to believe you are going to make any purchases ever," Cillizza wrote. "Breaking news: Giant corporations tend to do what makes them the most money, not always whats 'right.'"Closing out his thoughts on the incident, Cillizza warned against "the obsession with making every little bit of our lives into a political statement," declaring that it's "driving us further from any sort of recognition of our common humanity."

MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart claims 'Obama people' are crowding out 'next generation' of Democratic Party leaders
MSNBC anchor Jonathan Capehart argued that former President Barack Obama's influence over the Democratic Party has sometimes been stifling for a younger generation of leaders who seek to shape the future of the party."The Obama people come in, theyre the new blood, and now people are starting to complain, Oh my God, the Obama people, theyre running everything. Some of the criticism, I think, is valid," Capehart said, referencing complaints that Obama-era staffers had of former President Bill Clinton's advisors dominating party politics.Despite Obama's entrance into national politics coming almost 20 years ago, his influence on the Democratic Party, especially through his former campaign staffers and advisors, only seems to have grown. Obama campaign alums, including Mitch Stewart and Rufus Gifford, also worked on former President Biden's campaign, according to NBC News. Other Obama campaign alums helped lead former Vice President Kamala Harris' failed presidential bid.DEMOCRATIC STRATEGISTS QUESTION INFLUENCE OF OBAMA-ERA CAMPAIGN OPERATIVES IN PARTY'S FUTURECapehart argued the persistent influence of Obama alums throughout the campaign world has also created an arrogance among the Obama "class" of political advisors."Sometimes you get a sense that they think they know everything, they run the world, and in some cases you can understand it because, well, they did win two presidential elections," the MSNBC anchor said of Obama's staffers.Capehart called on the Obama generation to make way for the "next generation" in Democratic Party politics.BIDEN'S CHIEF OF STAFF SCOLDED OBAMA CAMPAIGN ARCHITECT FOR CALLING BIDEN'S AGE AN ISSUE, BOOK REVEALS"At a certain point, that class of folks has to start listening to the next generation coming up because they have ideas, they have ways of reaching out to the voters, to men, to the Obama coalition that they just dont have. They dont have the feel for it because theyre not from that generation," he said.Capehart said Obama has intentionally made himself "scarce" because some Democrats expect that he will "save the day.""I think thats one of the primary reasons why I think President Obama has been scarce, is that everyones looking for him to save the day. And what they keep saying is, No, no, no, no, its not about us. Its about you. And it seems like the party cant seem to come to grips with that and deal with that," Capehart said.Fox News' Hanna Panreck contributed to this report.

Trump's tariffs and tax cuts are crushing Main Street and making Mar-a-Lago elites rich
President Donald Trumps tariffs are already the biggest middle-class tax increase in modern history, raising the prices he promised to lower. Now even more tariffs threaten an economy already staggering from the uncertainty set off by Trumps erratic policies, attacks on the rule of law, and threatening statements.Adding more injury to injury, Trump and his MAGA allies just forced the "Big Beautiful Bill Act" through the House of Representatives -- by one vote. Their divisive, financially unhealthy approach boils down to trillions in tax cuts for the ultra-rich, devastating cuts in basic health care and food services, and crippling new debt for us, our kids, and grandkids. Worse yet, right after the bill passed, Trump proudly announced more job-killing, cost-raising tariffs on allies and iPhones. When he ran for president in 2024, Trump promised us inflation would end "immediately" and that wed feel prices falling on "Day One." To millions of 2024 swing voters -- a decisive voting bloc in the election -- that was the whole point of choosing him. But now prices are higher, economic growth is declining and life is harder than it was when Trump took the oath of office in January.ELON MUSK 'DISAPPOINTED' BY TRUMP'S SPENDING BILL, SAYS IT UNDERMINES WHAT DOGE IS DOINGSince Inauguration Day, consumer sentiment has plunged to historic lows. Moodys downgraded Americas credit rating for the first time in over 100 years. Ford and Walmart are raising prices because of the tariffs. Now, instead of making our economy take off like a "rocket ship," as he also promised, Trump is killing it with a sweetheart tax deal for his Mar-A-Lago friends. A president who promised to stand up to the establishment is effectively laundering taxpayers money to line the silk pockets of his own preferred elites -- to the detriment of middle-class families and American business. Now, the American economy, which was unequivocally outperforming every other country on earth when Donald Trump tookover, is falling behind in ways it hasnt in decades.NO MILLIONAIRE TAX HIKE IN TRUMP'S 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL'Special tax giveaways, like a write-off for buying private jets, are paid for with the biggest Medicaid cuts in history, higher health insurance premiums, and gutting food programs for distressed working families. Theyre putting the rest of the price tag on the nations credit card, adding trillions to the debt and raising the cost of a house, car, or student loan.In communities all over the country, the tariff taxes are crushing supply chains and freezing hiring decisions. Port traffic is sporadic, and retailers warn of empty shelves in the stores. In North Carolina, Trumps tariffs arepenalizingthe manufacturers he claims to be supporting, killing jobs and reducing U.S. exports. Just when a Greenville-based manufacturer was on the verge of plant renovations that would add 25 new jobs, the equipment they needed to expand was hit with a new tariff. The manufacturer was explicit: "Our company has been working for years to install a state-of-the-art manufacturing line in our North Carolina plant Unfortunately, todays tariffs make it uneconomical to ship this line to the U.S."CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONIn Michigan, auto plants and their suppliers are feeling the brunt. And its not all about cars and trucks, the Murraysfrom Ferndale, Michigan, sell baby supplies to the growing families in their community. They say that because 80% of their industry is sourced from China, their business is on the ropes. They worry that the price for their customers will be out of reach, or their products not available at all. This MAGA agenda comes at the expense of basic economic security for average Americans. Tariffs rob them of their buying power and their jobs. Billions in cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. Cancelled health coverage for millions. SNAP, the nations food relief program, would be starved. Trumps tax cuts come straight out of programs that help the neediest people in society.Meanwhile, job-creating, cost-cutting policies like the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Acts energy and manufacturing policies are being senselessly undermined -- harming red states and blue states alike.Whether you are an autoworker in Detroit, or a soybean farmer in Senate Majority Leader John Thunes home state of South Dakota, Americans are tangibly worse off now than they were in January. As a Republican and a Democrat who worked on behalf of presidents from both parties, we agree that most peoples lives will suffer unless we stand up to higher inflation, slower growth and crippling debt. Thats why we recently helped launch the Cost Coalition, a bipartisan campaign aimed at telling the real stories about the fight for the American Dream. We are featuring the people outside of Washington who want to work a good job, put food on the table, keep their kids on track, and give back to their community. From small business owners to faith leaders to veterans and military families, we believe America can get back on track if Washington focuses on kitchen table issues. It all starts with lowering costs by standing up to MAGA, on behalf of Main Street.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM ANDREW BATES

Is Ozempic ruining your teeth? What to know about impact on dental health
Despite their widely touted benefits primarily weight loss and diabetes control, among others GLP-1 medications have also been linked to some unwelcome side effects. In addition to the main complaints of gastrointestinal issues, some lesser-known side effects have emerged, including mood changes, hair loss and "Ozempic face."Now, there are rumblings on social media from patients and doctors suggesting that weight-loss drugs could be linked to tooth decay and gum issues like irritation and bleeding.WEIGHT-LOSS, DIABETES DRUGS LINKED TO VISION PROBLEMS IN SMALL STUDYOzempic teeth, much like Ozempic face, is a term coined online to describe a characteristic that some believe could be related to their use of weight-loss and diabetes drugs. The characteristic in question is an increase in dental problems when using GLP-1s, although there is not yet any scientific evidence that the two are linked.Dry mouth, nausea, vomiting and acid reflux are all widely reported side effects of Ozempic and other weight-loss drugs.OZEMPICS HEALTH BENEFITS KEEP GROWING, BUT ARE THE RISKS WORTH IT?"Patients have reported dry mouth while on Ozempic in both dental practices I work in," Dr. Ricky Marshall, owner of Stratland Dental in Glendale, Arizona, and dentist at Wolff Family Dentistry & Orthodontics in Queen Creek, Arizona, told Fox News Digital. While Ozempic itself may not be triggering the increased tooth decay, side effects like dry mouth are "likely the main cause" of some of the dental problems people are experiencing, according to Marshall.Additionally, he noted, Ozempic is reported to increase stomach acid because the medication works by slowing down digestion.WEIGHT-LOSS DRUGS IMPACT ON CANCER RISK REVEALED IN NEW STUDYWhen increased stomach acid leads to acid reflux, heartburn or vomiting, the acid's contact with the teeth "will absolutely contribute" to increased decay, Marshall said.Dr. Whitney White of Aspen Dental in Las Vegas said she hasnt personally seen any patients experiencing oral health issues linked to GLP-1s."I do encourage all of my patients to be open about what medications they are taking, as they can contribute to issues like dry mouth," she told Fox News Digital."Dry mouth leads to plaque buildup, which in turn leads to cavities and sensitivity."Antacids are one solution to acid reflux, according to Cleveland Clinic. These over-the-counter medicines neutralize stomach acid so that when reflux happens, it isnt as corrosive to the esophagus.Although these medications can be effective for occasional acid reflux, Cleveland Clinic warned that they can have side effects if taken too often, so they likely "arent a good long-term solution."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTERTo alleviate dry mouth, the above source recommends chewing sugarless gum to promote saliva production and drinking plenty of water, among other remedies. For more Health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/healthThe clinic also recommends that individuals "take medications that cause dry mouth in the morning, not at night," because dry mouth at night is more likely to cause cavities and other dental issues.Fox News Digital reached out to Novo Nordisk (maker of Ozempic and Wegovy) and Eli Lilly (maker of Mounjaro and Zepbound) for comment. Neither company includes mention of dental-related side effects in the drugs' prescribing information.

DAVID MARCUS: Why nobody wants to cut the national debt despite everyone saying they should
It was Mark Twain who quipped that the "great works" are books that everyone wants to have read, but nobody wants to read. We could easily say the same thing about the U.S. national debt: It is something everyone wants to have cut, but nobody wants to cut.As the House Republicans big beautiful bill moseys over to the Senate for potential passage, there is growing concern among many on the right that the spending cuts are insufficient, and that the bill puts the country on the road to much greater debt.NATIONAL DEBT TRACKER: AMERICAN TAXPAYERS (YOU) ARE NOW ON THE HOOK FOR $36,215,088,402,345.87 AS OF 5/27/25Senators Ron Johnson, R-Wis., Rick Scott, R-Fla., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., have all promised opposition to what they see as the "big bloated bill," and DOGE architect Elon Musk has expressed disappointment that the alarm he is raising about the debt, and his cost-cutting recommendations are being ignored. As usual, this attempt to stand athwart massive spending while yelling, "Stop!" is an uphill battle. Here are five reasons why deficit reduction has been the hardest of political nuts to crack, and how these reasons might be addressed. To put it bluntly, very few American voters have a real working understanding of how the national debt actually works. Sometimes it feels like very few members of Congress do either, but it's a big part of why debt cutting is not a political winner. Most people vote around issues they feel in their gut, like crime, high prices or immigration, not cold-calculated things like debt and monetary policy. While the Tea Party of 15 years ago may have been an exception, it was a movement of the managerial class, who understood debt, not a broad cross-section of voters.People like free stuff, even when it's not really free. Even those who support cutting the deficit can get a bit testy when you threaten their slice of the pie, or the money flowing into their communities. The New York Congressional delegation, led by Rep. Mike Lawler, R-NY, just secured bigger federal deductions for state and local taxes for their constituents. Sure, it comes at the expense of better-run states, but as they say in Brooklyn, it is what it is.There are two issues in American politics that voters have been warned for 40 years must be addressed immediately or else all hell will break loose by next Tuesday. They are climate change and the deficit, and Tuesday never really seems to come. This is not to say that our staggering national debt hasnt done great harm to our country; It absolutely has, far more than climate change. But that harm is not felt in an obvious andcatastrophic way, so it does not light a fire under voters. There is a sense among many Americans, and not entirely without cause, that our countrys status as the worlds foremost superpower protects us from being hurt by our foreign creditors. We have nukes, after all, so what are they going to do? Robocall the White House during dinner? This is, of course, a facile understanding, but it underscores that even though people are concerned about the debt, or say they are, they do not feel it as an existential threat. The final reason why Americans have a hard time getting excited about efforts to cut the debt is that both parties always swear they will do it while they are out of power, and never do it when they are in power. They can make the reservation to cut the deficit, but they never show up.This has led many Americans to just assume it's never going to happen.Make no mistake, these are significant headwinds that have stalled out almost every effort to cut the debt for decades. But it doesnt mean they cannot be overcome. This week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis weighed in with serious criticism of some of his GOP compatriots.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION"We have a Republican Congress, and to this day, we're in the end of May, past Memorial Day, and not one cent in DOGE cuts have been implemented by the Congress," he said.DeSantis is an interesting voice in this debate. He went from winning a governors race in then-centrist Florida by the skin of his teeth to winning reelection by 20 points in a mere four years, and he did it not by saying things, but by doing things.DeSantis took risky positions on things like COVID policy and the economy because he trusted that the results, even in the short-term, would be beneficial. He gambled that he would be rewarded for them, which he surely was.The fiscal hawks need to talk less about doom and gloom and talk more about how lowering the debt can open doors to things like better credit, homeownership, financial security, and better yet, get a few of these cost-cutting measures past the goalie. The American people will not be threatened into supporting cost-cutting measures to slash the debt, but they can be convinced. And nothing could be more convincing that this Congress enacting some serious and responsible cost-cutting actions right now.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAVID MARCUS

Planned Parenthood using 'loophole' to get minors gender transitions without parents' OK: watchdog
FIRST ON FOX: The conservative watchdog group American Principles Project is sounding an alarm over what the group is describing as a "massive loophole" being utilized by Planned Parenthood to give transgender hormone therapy to minors. In a wide-ranging report chronicling how Planned Parenthood is propping up the trans agenda, the American Principles Project accused the group and its affiliates across the country of manipulating the definition of contraception in order to provide transgender hormone therapy to minors without parental consent."Using contraception as a gender-affirming treatment is a massive loophole," the report stated. "Most statesallow minors to consent to these contraceptives on their own, and many statesallow minors to do so without even notifyingparents."UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATION: PLANNED PARENTHOOD PRESCRIBING HORMONES TO MINORS WITH MINIMAL OVERSIGHTSome blue states, like Washington, Oregon and Minnesota, have laws permitting minors to obtain puberty blockers, or cross-sex hormones, for the purpose of transitioning genders, without parental consent. However, most states do require parental consent in order for minors to access these drugs, while others take an even stricter approach of banning the medications for minors outright, regardless of whether their parents approve or not. The American Principles Project points to a "Gender Affirming Care Patient Guide" from Planned Parenthood's Mar Monte chapter, the national organization's largest affiliate serving parts of central California and northern Nevada. In both states, parental consent is required for minors to access any type of medical intervention aimed at aiding a minor's gender transition, but it does permit minors to obtain various forms of contraception, such as birth control, without it."People 15 and younger who have periods can come to us for birth control options to stop periods," the patient guide on "gender-affirming care" states. It then notes in the following sentence: "Parent/guardian consent is not required to get birth control."A 2022 case study from Seattle Children's Hospital, which has come under scrutiny for providing transgender medical care to minors, highlights the case of a 14-year-old biological female who was diagnosed with gender dysphoria and was "very distressed by bleeding cycles" that the patient began experiencing at age 12.ANONYMOUS DEMOCRATS CONFESS TO TIME MAGAZINE THEIR PARTY IS TOO EXTREME ON ABORTION, TRANS ATHLETESDespite the minor patient's gender dysphoria, the child did not want to fully transition into a male. Rather, according to the case study, the female patient was identified as "non-binary" and expressed that she did not want to be subject to the effects of testosterone, such as a deeper voice and facial hair. As a result, the child was given hormonal-based birth control to stop her periods, which the case study said resulted in better mental health for the patient and opened them up to pursuing top surgery in the future. In addition to blocking periods, certain types of birth control can also suppress testosterone production, according to the Endocrine Society. This makes contraception a viable route for gender-dysphoric biological females who may not want to experience the impacts of testosterone but want to blunt their female-sex maturation, as described in the above case study. It's also a viable mechanism for biological males who want to block their body's natural testosterone production, according to the Endocrine Society. "While patients under 18 cannot receive hormone therapy, they may have a consultation with a provider to understand treatment options and to receive medications to stop their periods (if desired)," Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest states on its "Gender Affirming Care" web page. The explanation also appears on a FAQ page under the website's "About Us" section."The fact that Planned Parenthood is actively finding and exploiting legal loopholes to begin transitioning minors behind their parents backs is downright disgusting," Terry Schilling, President of the American Principles Project told Fox News Digital. "There is nothing this organization will not do to make a quick buck at the expense of our children and families."HOSPITALS NATIONWIDE CHALLENGE TRUMP'S EXECUTIVE ORDER ON TRANSGENDER TREATMENTS FOR MINORSAccording to the American Principles Project's report, around 80 percent of Planned Parenthood clinics offer some form of "gender-affirming care," which the group says has outpaced abortion services. The report goes into other extensive details about how Planned Parenthood has prioritized sex-change procedures for young people, which Schilling remarked "isn't healthcare" but rather "an ideological crusade that undermines families and exploits vulnerable youth.""Planned Parenthoods recent shift to becoming a leading provider of so-called 'gender-affirming care' exposes their radical agenda to reshape society, starting with our unborn children and now targeting the next generation with dangerous,life-altering medical procedures," Schilling said."Our report reveals that Planned Parenthood now prioritizes irreversible transgender treatmentsoften without parental consentOVER their other services, with an estimated 120,000 transgender medical visits annually and growing," he continued. Their materials, from activity books promoting gender ideology to chatbots targeting kids as young as 13, are designed to sexualize and indoctrinate the next generation."CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FOX NEWS APPIn a statement to Fox News Digital, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest's President and CEO, Jenny Black, insisted that its health centers "operate under the highest medical standards," and said that any accusation it is violating state law "is completely false.""We strongly denounce the dangerous spread of disinformation about life-saving gender-affirming healthcare that is fueled by rampant transphobia," Black said. "We will continue to provide safe and legal health care to those who rely on us for access to quality and compassionate care."Planned Parenthood's Mar Monte chapter did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
