Richard told the court that one day after an alleged altercation in which she "observedCassie being attacked," the "Missing You" rapper told her it was par for the course in a normal relationship.Diddy and Richard were in the recording studio when he allegedly said that what was witnessed the day before was "passion" and what people in relationships do. He claimed Cassie was OK and that it was best if they didn't say anything. The rapper allegedly said that where he's from, people go missing. She testified that she heard his words to mean that people end up dead.DIDDY SUNK $35 MILLION INTO MIAMI MANSION, BUT STAR ISLAND DIGS MAY NOT BE SAFE IF HE'S CONVICTED: EXPERTCassie Ventura's former makeup artist testified she also worked for Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez. Mylah Morales claimed she worked for Sean "Diddy" Combs from 2000 until 2005."After you stopped working for Mr. Combs, who is the next artist that you worked with?" Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey asked in court Thursday.According to Morales, she worked with Rihanna for 13 years along with Jennifer Lopez."Are there others that you're not remembering right now?" Comey asked."Yeah, there's so many," Morales responded. "It's like a long list of names."At one point, Sean "Diddy" Combs suspected Cassie was in a relationship with actor Michael B. Jordan.Cassie testified that she broke up with Diddy in 2015 while in South Africa for a movie. She told Diddys defense lawyer during cross-examination that someone had reached out to her about being at an event, but Cassie wasn't actually there. She testified thatsheeventually learned Combs wasat the eventwith Gina, another woman he had been seeing. Cassie admitted to being angry because she thought Gina was no longer in the picture.Cassie explained she cut off contact with Combs, blocked him and focused on the movie.Diddy began to suspect she was in a relationship with Jordan, but Cassie testified she didn't remember his reaction. On May 19, Cassie's former friend, Kerry Morgan, testified to the singer's connection with Jordan.Morgan testified that she did not know much, just that they were speaking at the time. She emphasized that Cassie was not with Diddy at this time, but the rapper was allegedly jealous.CASSIE'S MOTHER'S TESTIMONY MAY PROVE TO BE VERY DAMAGING TO DIDDY'S CASE: EXPERTDavid James, Sean "Diddy" Combs former personal assistant, testified about a run-in with Suge Knight during his testimony Tuesday. James recalled driving with Diddy's security guard to Mel's Diner to get food after a late night at the studio when they ran into the Death Row Records chair. The two allegedly left after four black SUVs pulled into the parking lot and someone gave Knight a gun.James said he drove D-Roc, Diddy's security guard, and the rapper back to the diner, per Diddy's request. New Orleans jail security 'train wreck' helped 4-time escapee, 9 others break out: former warden
Deficient security protocols allowed a serial escape artist and nine others to break out of a New Orleans jail, according to a former federal prison warden."First of all, that jail had been deemed a train wreck in terms of just basic jail operations," Cameron Lindsay told Fox News Digital.Lindsay worked for 20 years in the federal prison system, seven of them as a warden. He was once the warden of the infamous Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He also served as a warden at two private prisons. Now, he is a consultant and expert witness."It would appear that basic security inspections were not taking place at the jail. Inmates should never be able to tear a toilet off of a wall and just be able to go right to the perimeter fence," he said. "I mean, I just can't believe that."DEMOCRAT LAWMAKERS DEMAND LOUISIANA SHERIFF RESIGN AFTER 10 INMATES ESCAPE JAILIn 2013, the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office (OPSO), which runs the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility, entered into a consent decree with the Department of Justice to keep the jail operational. The decree stemmed from civil rights abuses, and OPSO agreed to federal government oversight and biannual compliance checks. The latest of those compliance check reports shows that the jail was fully compliant with 42% of the decree's measures and completely noncompliant with at least 5% of them. It is partially compliant with about 53% of the measures. The report, released in October 2024, paints a picture of completely inadequate inmate supervision, leading to violence and the use of illicit drugs, shakedown and extortion schemes, and inmates having limitless time to fashion weapons out of everyday jail items."There were significant incidents of violence occurring within the facilities during the monitoring period; including inmate-on-inmate assaults and assaults on staff," according to the report. "The level of violence in the facility continued to be at all-time high levels during this monitoring period."LOUISIANA GOVERNOR BLASTS 'PROGRESSIVE PROMISES' AFTER NEW ORLEANS JAIL ESCAPE"The inmates appear to be emboldened in their refusal to follow the rules and obey the orders of the security staff," the report said. "Very concerning is that both staff and inmates continue to relay to the Monitors that there are inmates who are acting as tank bosses and are extorting other inmates and requiring payment for protection."There was also no jail monitoring system to verify that security checks were taking place and being reported at regular intervals. Those failures have come into focus since the early morning hours of May 17, when 10 inmates broke out of the jail and ran amok in the New Orleans area.As of Friday afternoon, five of them remained at large.WATCH: Many points of failure in jailbreak, says FBI special agent"Inmate security checks represent a critical, industry-accepted minimum standard," Lindsay told Fox News Digital. "Failure to conduct them is a serious threat to the overall basic security of any correctional facility. It speaks to [a] lack of effective correctional leadership and possibly a lack of appropriate funding."LOUISIANA JAIL WORKER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY HELPING 10 INMATES ESCAPE ORLEANS PARISH FACILITYOne of the 10 escapees was Antoine Massey, who was being held in the jail on charges of domestic abuse involving strangulation, theft of a motor vehicle and a parole violation. He was also wanted for rape and kidnapping in St. Tammany Parish, according to Fox 8.Massey had escaped from custody three times since 2007 and was no longer eligible to be released with an electronic ankle monitor because he kept cutting them off.Massey was still at large on Friday afternoon.Linsday said that from his perspective as a warden, OPSO should have taken extraordinary precautions with Massey, knowing that he had such a history."He would be housed in the most secure location within the jail," he said. "All staff would be apprised of this individual, and given his incredibly high risk for escape, I would require documented frequent checks at least once every 30 minutes on an irregular schedule.""I would also insist on documented correctional supervisor rounds, ensuring line staff are strictly following guidelines for inmates of this caliber who present the greatest threat to the community," he said.NEW ORLEANS JAIL INMATES CHARGED WITH MURDER AND OTHER CRIMES ESCAPELindsay was critical of the leadership at the jail."I don't know why you would have nine high-security-level individuals in one cell like that," he said. "It just doesn't sound like it's a well-operated correctional facility. It sounds like it's a mess.""And I tell you what, here's another thing that speaks to me about the ineffectiveness of this facility," he said. "I would tell you that they don't know the first thing about emergency preparedness, because when you have an escape, there should be an immediate response. There should be no delay whatsoever. That information should go out to law enforcement and through the community."The inmates escaped in the early morning hours of May 16, but jail staff did not realize they were missing until about 8:30 a.m., they said in a City Council meeting after the escape.New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick was notified of the escape by one of her captains, who heard about it in the media."An escape is the quintessential failure in corrections," Lindsay said."It is the quintessential failure because your No. 1 objective is to protect the community and then to protect the staff and to protect the inmates. But your No. 1 objective is to ensure that these inmates are segregated from free society, so you have to prevent an escape."The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office did not respond to a request for comment.

Experts solve mystery of ancient 'mummified dragon' discovered by Japanese shogun
Researchers believe they've cracked the mystery of a mummified "rainbow dragon" that's been sitting in a Japanese treasure house for centuries. The "dragon" has been stashed at the Shosoin Treasure House in the historic Japanese city of Nara, according to Pen News. The remains were reportedly found by Yoshinori Ashikaga, a 15th-century shogun, in 1429.Legend states that Ashikaga cut a piece from the Ranjatai, a rare and valuable piece of agarwood, at the time of the skeleton's discovery. The shogun was visiting the Todai-ji temple in Nara at the time.'DEMONIC' MONKEY, TWEEZERS AND ANCIENT COINS UNCOVERED BY ARCHAEOLOGISTS DURING GERMAN CHURCH EXCAVATIONShortly after, a monk at the temple claimed to have seen "something in the shape of a small dragon" that was dried by the sun. Ashikaga took the skeleton and preserved it.But was the skeleton a dragon after all? Researchers say not quite.A recently published study said the "dragon" was actually a female Japanese marten. The fluffy, weasel-like animal is native to central and southern Japan.RESEARCHERS UNCOVER THE ODD REASON AN 'UNUSUAL' MUMMY SURVIVED THE CENTURIES"The two premolars are clearly visible, and this characteristic indicates that it is a species of the Martes genus," the study states.Using x-ray technology and radiocarbon dating, researchers found that the marten dated back to the 11th or 12th centuries. For more Lifestyle articles, visit foxnews.com/lifestyleThe Todai-ji temple underwent heavy renovations at the time, according to Pen News. Experts believe the animal entered the building and was trapped before it died and was mummified.Pictures show the marten missing its forelegs, making it resemble a dragon.Legend states that rain would descend upon the treasure house every time the skeleton's repository was opened and during the study, researchers fought heavy downpours that made traveling from Tokyo to Nara difficult.Mami Tsuru, a conservationist at the Shosoin Treasure House, told Pen News she's certain the skeleton is the same one recorded by the Todai-ji monk.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTER"The age determination has significantly increased the possibility that the mummy is the sun-dried dragon-looking object recorded in the document from the Muromachi Period," the expert said.Tsuru added, "We believe this is a good example of how Shosoin has protected not only beautiful items, but also all the items inside the repository."

Social media support for accused killers Luigi Mangione, Elias Rodriguez an 'exceptionally bad sign': expert
Social media users have been drawing comparisons between online support for accused killers Elias Rodriguez, Rodney Hinton Jr. and Luigi Mangione."That people who commit murder are receiving any meaningful amount of public support, seemingly because the victims are seen by the murders supporters as belonging to the political opposition, is an exceptionally bad sign for our society," Nicholas Creel, Georgia College and State University ethics professor, told Fox News Digital. "Democracy requires people to be committed to certain values, such as the peaceable resolution of our differences. Without that, were at risk for a far wider breakdown in the rule of law, the kind where mass atrocities can easily arise."Rodriguez, 31, of Chicago, is accused of killing Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, a young engaged couple who worked at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday evening outside the Capital Jewish Museum.Mangione, 26, is charged with first-degree murder in furtherance of an act of terrorism, stalking and a slew of other state and federal charges in both New York and Pennsylvania for allegedly gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a 50-year-old married father of two, on a sidewalk in Manhattan on Dec. 4, 2024.FATHER OF SUSPECT ACCUSED OF KILLING ISRAELI EMBASSY STAFFERS IN DC WAS GUEST AT TRUMP'S JOINT ADDRESSHinton, 38, is charged with aggravated murder after he allegedly "intentionally" struck retired Hamilton County Deputy Larry Henderson, who was directing traffic near the University of Cincinnati during a graduation ceremony, with a vehicle around 1 p.m. on May 2. He allegedly killed the officer a day after Cincinnati police fatally shot his son during a foot pursuit, according to police.Experts who spoke with Fox News Digital also noted social media support for 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, who shot at then-presidential candidate Donald Trump during his 2024 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, before being fatally shot by responding officers.SUSPECT ACCUSED OF KILLING ISRAELI EMBASSY STAFFERS IN DC COULD FACE MORE CHARGES"Now that we're seeing these other murders get the same kind of attention [as Brian Thompson's], it does seem to be a pattern that is fairly new in terms of the reaction to this," Creel told Fox News Digital regarding support for Mangione and Rodriguez specifically. "So when you get this larger and larger portion of the population that's willing to sanction that sort of behavior, you become very much ripe for a sort of authoritarian takeover, the kind that can start to lead to mass atrocities."He added that the most recent killings of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim represent a "very destructive sort of behavior to society."ISRAELI AMBASSADOR CONNECTS EMBASSY STAFFERS' SLAYING TO 'VERY IMPORTANT' BIGGER PICTURE"When we look at how does a country become a democracy and remain one because that's never a guarantee what we tend to see is there's certain values society has to hold, and one of those is the idea of not resorting to violence," Creel said.He and his colleague, Ania Rynarzewska, an assistant professor of marketing, have conducted research showing that people feel more empowered when their radical beliefs and ideas get support online.POLICE RAID DC SHOOTING SUSPECT ELIAS RODRIGUEZ'S CHICAGO APARTMENT"Our research has found so far that before [Thompson's murder], people felt powerless. So they felt like their voice didn't matter," Rynarzewska said. "And after the incident and after people started voicing their opinion on social media they felt more empowered to speak. They felt like their voices were in the majority, so they no longer have to suppress it."In all three cases, authorities allege that the suspects had political or personal motives behind their respective alleged actions, and all three men are receiving support, both monetary and nonfinancial, from radical social media users.A preliminary investigation in the Rodriguez case shows the suspect was allegedly observed pacing back and forth outside the museum before he approached a group of four people leaving the building, including the two victims, and began shooting, D.C. authorities said.He then entered the museum, where he was detained by event security. While in custody, he yelled, "Free, free Palestine!"Mangione similarly shouted a message after his arrest in Altoona, Pennsylvania."It's completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people and its lived experience," Mangione shouted outside a courthouse in Hollidaysburg days after his arrest.WHO IS THE SUSPECT IN THE KILLING OF 2 ISRAELI EMBASSY STAFFERS?Paul Mauro, former NYPD inspector and Fox News contributor, told Fox News Digital that Mangione, Rodriguez, Hinton and Crooks represent "a very specialized class of violent losers.""At some point, everybody's been down in their luck," Mauro said. "But when you are in and around 30 years old, and you are still clinging to these adolescent beliefs about the world and how you are on the side of the righteous because you are a member of a particular internet forum, and you're willing to extinguish the lives of others you're going to take away loved ones from families. Well, I'm sorry, but you guys are in a class by yourselves."He added that law enforcement professionals have seen such activity by young radicals "developing" since about 2020.Mauro also said officials should be following the money that U.S. colleges and universities are receiving from nongovernment organizations and whether any of that funding comes from U.S. adversaries, such as Iran. The former NYPD inspector noted that Rodriguez, Mangione, Crooks and, to an extent, Hinton are all relatively young men who had "their whole lives ahead of them" before allegedly hunting down people they believed to be their political or personal "opponents.""They weaponize these college kids who are susceptible and naive and who have never really been scuffed up by the real world," Mauro said. "And in many cases, they don't want to be. They don't really want to go out and get jobs and do all the stuff that we did. And they stay in this hyperprogressive bubble thinking that they're on the side of the righteous. And then what happens is they manage to survive."Creel and Rynarzewska similarly noted that young people who are lonely or isolated tend to find a sense of community in people who share radical views online."From a bigger societal perspective, that's where we really see the destructive influence on youth," Creel said. "When you're young, you're developing your sense of the world. You're coming to figure out, when you come of age, what's acceptable, what's not. That's when norms are being developed, your values take hold. And so, because of that, when you see these far more fringe-type positions of people supporting violence murder, even that becomes one of those things that then you think is normalized."Mangione and Hinton have pleaded not guilty to their respective crimes. Fox News Digital has reached out to their attorneys for comment.

Sheriff reveals 26 illegal migrants not on federal 'radar' among 255 arrested in Florida sex-trafficking sting
A multi-level operation, aptly named "Fool Around and Find Out," nabbed 255 suspected human traffickers, child sex predators and illegal migrants in Central Florida. The Polk County, Florida, operation, conducted over nine days in May, resulted in the arrest of the highest number of individuals ever recorded in a single sting by the sheriff's office.Sheriff Grady Judd told Fox News Digital that the operation was a coordinated effort with multiple law enforcement partners, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which was embedded for the first time with the Central Florida department."We made a lot of arrests. Our team preps in advance. We know what places to go on social media to find those evil people or to set up for them to come to us, so they did a remarkable job."FLORIDA SHERIFF ASKS TRUMP'S ICE TO REMOVE BIDEN-ERA 'SHACKLES'One of the most startling revelations from the operation was 36 illegal migrants apprehended. Judd said 26 of them had not checked in with federal authorities, making them untraceable until this operation."Twenty-six of them were not even on the federal government's radar," he said. "They had snuck in the country and did not check in."The migrants arrested account for approximately 15% of the total, and Judd argued that their absence could have prevented that same amount of crime."If those illegal immigrants weren't here in this country, then there would have been 15% less crime committed," he said.WATCH: Former NFL player arrested in Florida human trafficking bustThe operation also revealed a cross-section of suspects from all walks of American life.Among those arrested were a medical doctor, an executive from the American Red Cross, active and retired military personnel, and even a former NFL player, Adarius Taylor. Prior to retirement in 2020, Taylor played for the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns.Judd recounted that the ex-NFL player left his young, medically vulnerable child alone in a car while he allegedly sought sexual favors from an undercover officer posing as a prostitute.Another suspect allegedly visited the operation while his wife was battling cancer at home."Are you kidding me?" Judd exclaimed. "Your wife is being treated for cancer. And at a time in her life where she needs you the most, you're turning out a trick with a hooker at an undercover location? That is incredible. There were all kinds of occasions, just like that."Detectives charged a total of 102 felonies and 284 misdemeanors during the investigation. The suspects' prior criminal histories included a combined total of 400 felonies and 519 misdemeanors, with charges such as premeditated murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, aggravated battery and sexual assault."The online prostitution industry enables traffickers and allows for the continued victimization of those who are being trafficked," Judd said in a release following the sting. "Our goal is to identify victims, offer them help, and arrest those who are fueling the exploitation of human beings (Johns) and those profiting from the exploitation of human beings. Prostitution is not a victimless crime it results in exploitation, disease, drug and alcohol addiction, violence, and broken families."FLORIDA MAN IMPERSONATES ICE AGENT, THREATENS TO DEPORT 2 MEN, POLICE SAYJudd said Polk County has a zero-tolerance stance on criminal activity."This is not the last one. This is just the last one. There's going to be another one, and another one and another one."Judd's message is clear: those who come to Florida with criminal intent will not remain in the shadows and will be publicly held accountable."Florida is the vacation state. People come from all around the world with their children," he said. "We want to make sure that its a safe environment, and it is.""If you think you're gonna sneak here and, Hey, what goes on in Florida stays in Florida, that's wrong," he said. " I'll put you on blast all across the nation, and that's a guarantee."

Credibility crisis: White House reporters speak out on whether Biden's mental decline was deliberately hidden
White House reporters who covered the Biden administration are speaking out about whether they were duped into thinking the president was mentally fit for office and if West Wing staffers attempted to hide the truth from Americans.CNN's Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson's "Original Sin: President Bidens Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again," was released on Tuesday and has created plenty of chatter among the White House press corps while putting the issue back at the forefront. The book details Joe Biden's mental acuity concerns while in office, accusing the Biden White House of lying to reporters and voters.Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy responded by posting multiple videos to X showing him questioning Biden and the White House about the then-president's cognitive decline, only to be quickly dismissed.Other White House reporters found it odd that CNN is tied to the book, while some had strong feelings about whether there was truly a "cover-up."FOX NEWS' PETER DOOCY REVEALS HISTORY OF QUESTIONING BIDEN'S MENTAL FITNESSOne White House reporter truly believes the White House clearly tried to hide the truth from everyone."This was a cover-up by any definition, but a quixotic one for the Biden team to have undertaken, for at the end of the day, there is only so much a White House staff can do to shield the President of the United States from exposure to the press and public. The cover-up had both private and public-facing dimensions," the second White House reporter told Fox News Digital. The reporter said the private dimensions included "secretive strategizing and decision-making," while the public strategy featured "brazen lies" such as video of Biden appearing confused being chalked up as "cheapfakes" and "the silencing of reporters who pressed the issue early on."Doocy, and a handful of other bold reporters, were regularly shut down by press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if they dared to ask about the presidents fitness for office."The subject that was denounced as so rude and fringe-y to ask about back then eventually emerged as the defining issue of the Biden presidency," the White House reporter said.WASHINGTON POST URGES CONGRESS TO ACT TO PREVENT ANOTHER COVER-UP OF PRESIDENT'S HEALTH AMID BIDEN REVELATIONSA second White House reporter echoed the thoughts of "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart, who on Monday blasted CNN for relentlessly promoting "a book about news they shouldve told you was news a year ago for free.""Sources are always more eager to talk after the fact, but its not a good look that CNN -- a heavy hitter with plenty of weight to challenge the White House as the decline happened -- barely scratched the surface of the story that Tapper now reports," the second White House reporter told Fox News Digital."Late work still deserves half credit though," they added.A third White House reporter initially believed the 82-year-old Biden was merely aging, or perhaps suffering from COVID side effects, and doesnt think the press is culpable."You know, its one of those things; the guy is old. He speaks like an old person, and its getting more pronounced as time goes by," the third White House reporter said of Biden."I noticed, personally, a dramatic difference between when he took office and the start of the second year. I suspected, and wondered, if it might be because of COVID and the aftereffects of COVID. He had it twice, I think I know its been reported that a brain fog kind of thing can happen after youve had it. I left it at that," they continued. "I remember a very different Joe Biden in 2014, 2015. He was a decade younger, so that makes sense."CBS NEWS REPORTER SAYS WSJ'S 'COURAGEOUS' 2024 REPORT ON BIDEN'S DECLINE SHOULD HAVE WON THE PULITZERThe third White House reporter "doesnt get" the notion that journalists should have been able to uncover the truth about his declining health at the moment."How? How exactly do you report that? If youre a White House reporter, you have responsibilities to explain what happened that day. Like in any White House, there is usually something happening every single day," they said, noting that reporting on Bidens mental acuity concerns would be a major enterprise story."People are not going to confirm medical stuff at all, not likely going to tell you what hes like in private or in Wilmington, because it makes him look bad," they said. "Now, the Biden White House didnt leak. It just didnt, so if you want to go after that story, youre going to spend weeks on it, and you may not get anything. In the meantime, youre not doing other things."That same White House reporter is "puzzled" that Jean-Pierre has taken so much heat for regularly insisting Biden was fit for office."To the extent that she says, Hes more energetic than I am, thats just silly, and she probably shouldnt have said that. On the other hand, to have her come out and say, Oh, no, no hes actually incapable of doing the job and ought to resign, thats not realistic," the White House reporter said, adding that Jean-Pierre and other top Biden staffers had skin in the game."I mean, come on, you cannot expect the chief of staff to say, This guy cannot do the job," they said.FORMER BIDEN SPOKESPERSON HELPING LEAD PR FOR TAPPER-THOMPSON BOOK ON BIDEN'S DECLINEThe third White House reporter isnt sure Bidens age impacted his job performance and believes a lot of his shortcomings were simply "policy issues.""What would he have done much differently if he was younger? I dont know," they said. "Until you can show me that he did bad things because he wasnt up to the job at that moment, you know, I take it with a grain of salt."Margaret Chadbourn covers the White House as a Cheddar correspondent, with a seat in the briefing room, and is a WHCA member. She believes the entire Biden saga has hurt trust in the media because Americans are asking what was missed, and why it was missed."Reporters need to do some soul-searching, maybe, perhaps, and question did they cover Biden the way they should have, through the lens they should have, asking the questions they should have, taking the facts and putting them together, or should they have looked for more facts," Chadbourn told Fox News Digital."Should they have done more research?," Chadbourn continued. "I just think there is a whole timeline that the media and reporters need to look through, not just Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson writing a book."Chadbourn, who has been covering Biden on and off since 2005, said he was always affable and always "came alive interacting with voters." But as his legacy is defined, she believes there is anger among Americans over what people perceive as "misinformation about his health.""Not as a media critic, but as a journalist, a political reporter, we need to see what was there that we perhaps missed," Chadbourn said.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPThe first White House reporter who spoke anonymously believes the truth will eventually come out."We will learn more about all this as time goes by: first, in aides memoirs, where they will, for money, traffic the pitiable incidents and sad details they knew about at the time, and helped conceal; and secondly, through archival disclosure, as we get our hands on the White House memoranda, emails, and texts that will show the day-to-day mechanics of the cover-upand maybe answer the question of who was running the country," the reporter told Fox News Digital.

Zachary Levi claims supporting Trump made him a Hollywood outsider
Zachary Levi considers himself a Hollywood outsider because of his political beliefs. The "Shazam!" star says there are people who don't want to work with him, after he publicly endorsed President Donald Trump."I know that there are people that would prefer not to work with me now because of my opinions. My team has let me know," he said during an interview with Variety.ACTOR ZACHARY LEVI ENCOURAGES 'CLOSETED CONSERVATIVES' IN HOLLYWOOD TO SPEAK OUT: 'IT'S NOW OR NEVER'"They havent given me any specific names, but there are people who prefer not to work with me at this time. And its unfortunate. I knew that was probably going to happen. I didnt make this decision blindly or casually."Prior to the 2024 presidential election, Levi faced backlash for publicly endorsing President Trump. He explained that he does, however, still have allies in the industry."While there are some people who might prefer not to work with me anymore, theres a lot of people on that side of the political spectrum who are even more inclined to hire me and to want to do business with me because I need some people who voted another way."They see that what I did was at great risk. And they were like, You know what? I give you a lot of props for that because thats not an easy thing to do. And I go, I appreciate that,'" he said."I was not a fan of Trumps Trumpiness. I didnt like a lot of these personal things, the ways that he carries himself a lot of the time. I understand peoples aversion," he told the outlet."Do I think the whole package is somehow perfect? No. In fact, most people who voted for Donald Trump recognize a lot of the imperfections in all of it. Nobody was saying, 'This is the Orange Messiah.'"LIKE WHAT YOURE READING? CLICK HERE FOR MORE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLevi dished to Variety that a lot of people in Hollywood "secretly" voted for Trump in his last presidential run."I know it to be true because Ive gotten messages from lots of people who I wont name but who were very grateful to me for taking the stand that I took. And also they would tell me, I want to do that, but Im so afraid."And I would tell them, Listen, youre on your journey. Im on my journey. Youve got to keep trusting God. And if you feel compelled to step out in that way, then do it boldly and know that youre going to be OK. And if you dont feel that conviction yet, then dont. Its all good,'" he said.In a video uploaded to Instagram in October, Levi addressed "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldbergs claim that Hollywood was a "right-leaning town" where "very few people seem to bite it because theyre Republican."Levi disagreed with her comments, pointing out that she was only able to name actors Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid as examples of the thousands working in Hollywood today. He added actors like them seem to only come out as Republican "at a certain level of your career to get away with it.""And what that means is theres plenty and by the way, they have sent me lots of messages plenty of people in my industry in Hollywood that are terrified to publicly say that they would vote for Donald Trump or be conservative in any way," Levi said at the time. "Thats why you dont see them. Thats why theyre not very prevalent or prominent because they know that theres ramifications for this kind of s---."Levi pushed back against fears of industry backlash by arguing it has been "eroded" after pandemic lockdowns and the recent writers and actors strikes, predicting it will soon be "f--- gonzo.""So anyway, my cry to all of you out there, you closeted conservatives, closeted Trump voters, yall, its now or never, you know what I mean?" Levi said. "Do whatever you feel like you need to do. If you need to come out publicly and say it, if you feel like you still cant, then dont. I would never pressure you to do that, but know that if what youre afraid of is somehow the backlash of an industry thats not going to exist very soon, then dont let that hold you back."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTERIn September, Levi endorsed Trump during an event for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard."In a perfect world, in whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby," Levi said. "But we don't live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff, and we're here to stop that."Fox News Digital's Lindsay Kornick contributed to this report.

Zone 2 training: The trending workout that burns fat without intense exercise
An exercise that takes a more mild approach while offering all the fat-burning benefits of a more grueling workout might sound too good to be true. But some claim that the trending "Zone 2" training, commonly known as the "fat-burning zone," offers just that. What is this form of exercise and can it work for anyone?STUDY REVEALS EXERCISING EVERY DAY MAY NOT BE NECESSARY: 'BETTER THAN NONE'"Zone training is generally defined by someone's proximity to their maximum heart rate," Carmine Ciliento, a fitness manager at Crunch Fitness in New York, told Fox News Digital. The zone-based training method measures how hard the body is working and how it's using energy.Different zones burn different compounds in the body, according to Ciliento."Zone 2 is working out at about 60% to 70% of someones maximumheart rate," he said.STAY FIT IN YOUR 40S AND BEYOND WITH THESE SMART WORKOUT TIPSThe most common way to determine heart rate is to subtract a person's age from 220. This means a 55-year-old would have an approximate maximum heart rate of 220 - 55 = 165 bpm.Wearable heart rate monitors and sports watches can be used to track heart rate while working out, and many cardiovascular fitness machines also calculate it.When someone is working out, their heart rate zone indicates their level of exertion and what they're utilizing for energy, according to exercise physiologist Chris Travers via Cleveland Clinic.JILLIAN MICHAELS REVEALS SIMPLE WORKOUT TO EXTEND YOUR LIFESPAN 'UP TO 7 YEARS'The higher the heart rate gets, the more carbohydrates and protein the body burns for energy, and the less it relies on fat for fuel. While exercising in Zone 2, roughly 65% of the calories burned are from fat, according to Cleveland Clinic."Zone 2 is especially valuable because it allows you to add cardio volume to your training without overstressing your body," Ciliento told Fox News Digital."For people just starting out, anything above Zone 2 may be too intense, so a lot of their work will most likely need to begin in this zone."Athletes and those who are already into fitness may not reap as many benefits from Zone 2 as those who are just starting out.Ciliento, who is an endurance athlete, said he sees Zone 2 as a great tool for recovery efforts.Cleveland Clinic defines Zones 1, 2 and 3 as moderate-intensity aerobic activity. In Zone 2, you should be able to hold a "light conversation," but may need to take a break from talking to take a breath now and then, according to Cleveland Clinic.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTERThis is sometimes referred to as the "talk test."When in Zone 2, Travers told Cleveland Clinic, "Youre in a moderately easy zone. Not everyone should stress about the numbers, especially if that becomes a barrier to enjoying exercise."For most people, a brisk walk will get them into Zone 2, Ciliento noted. For more Health articles, visitwww.foxnews.com/healthOther moderate-intensity aerobic exercises include biking, swimming or even mowing the lawn, according to Mayo Clinic.

Democrats need to embrace inclusion over ideological conformity in order to win again
If Democrats want to win back Congress and the White House, we must reclaim what made our party a national force in the first place: our commitment to being a big tent. For much of modern history, the Democratic Party has thrived by welcoming Americans from a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs. We didnt require agreement on every issue to work together for a common causeespecially on topics like abortion or gun safety, where regional and cultural differences shaped the views of our candidates and voters alike. That flexibility helped us build durable coalitions capable of winning elections from city halls to Congress. But in recent years, weve moved toward a more rigid and absolutist postureone that suggests a Democrat must align 100% with every plank of the party platform to earn the label. This "all or nothing" mentality has not only narrowed our reach; its jeopardized our ability to build the legislative majorities we need to govern.SEN BERNIE SANDERS: WE HAVE A GOVERNMENT OF BILLIONAIRES, BY BILLIONAIRES AND FOR BILLIONAIRESTake, for example, pro-life Democrats. While they may diverge from national party orthodoxy on reproductive rights, many of these leaders stand with us on issues like affordable healthcare, economic justice, and workers rights. In a divided electorate, supporting candidates like these can be the difference between holding a legislative chamberor handing it over to Republicans who oppose our values wholesale. The same logic applies to gun safety. In rural districts where hunting and gun ownership are embedded in the culture, we shouldnt expect every Democrat to support the same proposals as those from urban centers. We can still advocate for commonsense reformsbackground checks, red flag laws, and safe storagewithout insisting on litmus tests that alienate potential allies.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONAs Governor Gretchen Whitmer has said, we need to meet people where they are. That doesnt mean compromising on our valuesit means recognizing that no coalition succeeds without some ideological flexibility. Most parliamentary democracies around the world understand this. Majorities are built through negotiation and compromise between parties that may agree on only a few key issues. Thats how they keep government functional and extreme ideologies in check. We should do the same. Because what matters most is not ideological purityits the power to govern. Its the ability to pass legislation, confirm judges, invest in communities, and protect our democracy from those who seek to undermine it.If we want to win againtruly winwe must embrace the complexity of our electorate. We must build a Democratic Party that prizes inclusion over ideological conformity. Only then will we have the strength to meet this moment and the future beyond it.
