There is nothing compassionate about providing so-called gender-affirming care
When will the left be willing to admit that "gender-affirming care" is toxic and unloving? We are seeing the deadly results of an affirming culture, as evidenced by the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting by a trans-identifying male and other shootings that have happened by trans-identifying people. There have been at least seven shootings by trans-identifying people since 2018, if not more, as mainstream media purposely obfuscates those details.Even Charlie Kirks alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, who was romantically involved with a trans-identifying male, was clearly steeped in gender-affirming ideology. It's getting more difficult for the media to ignore as more people openly detransition with deep emotional and physical damage left over. The Minneapolis shooter indicated in his manifesto that he wanted to detransition. But he seemed to feel that wasnt an option. We know there is deep societal pressure to continue and not admit a mistake, especially for young people. They are shamed by the community that once hailed them as "brave."DC WATCHDOG SUES FOR DOCS ON MODERN-DAY TUSKEGEE EXPERIMENTS GIVING TRANSGENDER RX TO YOUTHStill, today, if a teen expresses a struggle with gender identity, the medical community rushes to say that the new gender should be affirmed and supported in the delusion that the teen was born in the wrong body. And the parents are emotionally blackmailed and told that if they do not comply with gender ideologues, their children will commit suicide. Next follows prescriptions for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, which, despite the hype, do not "just pause" gender development, but risk conditions like infertility and osteoporosis. And then children are pushed into life-altering surgeries and a life of dependency upon Big Pharma. This is not compassion; it is cruelty disguised as "empathy." Under the guise of empathy, so-called "gender-affirming care" drowns out truth, affirms delusions instead of addressing them, and only deepens pain and identity confusion. To a child struggling with gender identity, "empathy" says: "I feel your pain. Youll never be good enough unless you take experimental drugs that will damage your endocrine system indefinitely, and you'll never heal until you irreversibly remove your healthy breasts and reproductive organs."Alternatively, biblical compassion says: "I feel your pain. But the truth is that God made your body exactly as He intended, and I cannot affirm your confusion about your gender. I love you, so I will walk with you as we seek help and your mind heals." Compassion without truth is apathetic and cruel, but truthfulness communicated gracefully is compassionate. Speaking the truth in love means we don't affirm a mental illness and a medical regimen that destroys their hearts, minds and bodies.FEDERAL COURT REJECTS CHALLENGE TO OKLAHOMA LAW BANNING GENDER TRANSITION TREATMENT FOR MINORSChloe Cole, Prisha Mosley, Luka Hein and Soren Aldaco are just four biological females who have filed lawsuits against medical providers because, as teens, they were rushed into gender-affirming care without first going through extensive mental health services. To date, there have been28 lawsuitsfor wrongful death and medical malpractice against gender-affirming care providers. Many other children and teens have been deceived by the medical community that took advantage of them under the veil of gender-affirming care. Drug companies make a fortune ($1.73 billion) from pushing cross-sex hormones. Hospitals and doctors have built their practices from procedures that permanently mutilate childrens bodies. And this can all happen before they are legally adults.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONEven the American Medical Association (AMA), the professional association and lobbying group of physicians, hasopposedstate legislation to restrict gender-affirming care.AMA President Jesse Ehrenfeld, the first openly gay AMA president, wasquotedas saying, "It is imperative that we expand, not contract, care for trans youth."Are the drug companies paying the AMA to go along with this gender delusion?DEMOCRATIC STATES SUE TRUMP ADMIN OVER ENDING SEX CHANGE SURGERIES FOR MINORSThe Trump administration has been pushing back, signing anexecutive orderto protect children under age 19 from receiving puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or sex-change surgeries. A May 2025Health and Human Services reportfound that gender-affirming care causes irreversible harm and can lead to a host of life-altering mental and physical disorders. The Department of Justice is also reportedly considering restricting guns for trans-identifying people. For those 21 states that have enacted red flag laws, they should discuss it. But clearly it is time for NIH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to seriously study the impact of cross-sex hormones, especially in concert with other drugs. When under 1% of the population has been responsible for over 10% of the mass shootings, we should all be calling our woke health community to account. To date, 27 states have passed laws to protect children from the harm of gender-affirming care. Concerned Women for Americaresearchfound that at least 26 hospitals and clinics offering gender-affirming care have closed, stopped performing surgeries, or halted gender-affirming care altogether. That is a step in the right direction. We also need to ensure that anyone struggling with gender dysphoria can receive conversion therapy. Twenty-four states, plus Washington, D.C., have banned "conversion" therapy, using tropes of failed, past malpractice. Five states have partial bans. Why are we banning a way for gender-confused youth to have access to real mental health services when it is clearly so critical? We cannot let this gender-affirming care model stand. We need to be able to support those questioning their gender, to meet them with real mental health counseling, and to tell them they are exactly the way God created them male or female. We need to stop placating sad, hurt children with lies, drugs, or scalpels.

"People are starting to see the truth in what he says. And people are just starting to see hes one of the good guys."Diana Alcorn said she traveled from Oregon because Kirks message resonated with her."I came all the way from Medford, Oregon, because Charlie, he resonates with me as a senior citizen but also for my children and my grandchildren," she said.Cliff Maloney, CEO of Citizens Alliance, was friends with Kirk and shared his emotions about the massive event with Fox News Digital at the memorial."This is a revival here," he said. "People are coming to Christ. They're talking about their faith. And they're talking how the radical left took a 31-year-old from us way too soon.""Charlie's legacy is not going anywhere," Maloney said. "It is more prominent now than it could have ever been. Turning Point had over 60,000 people apply to get involved to start a chapter. This is just the beginning."MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR ASSASSINATED TURNING POINT USA FOUNDER CHARLIE KIRK DRAWS TRUMP, MAJOR GOP FIGURESJohn Hockhalter, from Sun Lakes, Arizona, told Fox News Digital that Kirk "built something really special" and was encouraging his 21-year-old daughter to check out Kirk's Turning Point USA organization."Im kind of pushing her maybe to check out the TP USA a little bit," he said.Josh Riesen of Carson City, Nevada, said he left around 4:30 a.m. Saturday and arrived later that afternoon."I believe in everything he stood for," Riesen said. "America needs a change, a big change, and he was pushing toward that. I hope the message pushes through and we get a change here."He said he felt "shock" when he heard about Kirks assassination, and that it was hard to believe something like that could happen because of "the power of someones word.""His word is not going to go away. Its going to get even stronger from here on out, I think," he said.

UVU professor and former FBI agent warns of new pattern of political violence after Charlie Kirk assassination
A former FBI agent and Utah Valley University professor is warning that a new wave of political violence appears to be increasingly targeting everyday citizens, not just political figures, after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk's assassination on campus on Sept. 10."The [Minneapolis] church shooting, the Charlie Kirk shooting, these are different," said Greg Rogers, who spent 30 years in the FBI, many of them as a SWAT sniper."These are just citizens that are being murdered for political reasons, which is...certainly not unique and brand new, but it's happening more frequently," he continued. "We haven't seen much of that...If you think about political assassinations in the past, even in modern times, you've got John and Bobby Kennedy, you've got Ronald Reagan was shot, you've got George Wallace when he was a governor was shot. You've got all these big political national figures. That to me seems very different than normal citizens that are kind of just doing their thing, getting murdered for their political views."Then-President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, on Nov. 22, 1963. His brother, Robert F. Kennedy, was a leading presidential candidate when Sirhan Sirhan gunned him down five years later. At Kirk's memorial Sunday, his son, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was expected to attend with President Trump and other Cabinet members.MOM OF CHARLIE KIRK'S ALLEGED ASSASSIN DESCRIBES RADICAL SHIFT IN LAST YEAR: 'MORE PRO-GAY AND TRANS RIGHTS'About 33 hours after the slaying, a suspect surrendered to the sheriff in Washington County, Utah, about 270 miles from the crime scene. He has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, an electrician apprentice who recently drifted apart from his immediate family and became "more political" and supporting "more pro-gay and trans rights" over the past year, according to court documents. In a text message to his roommate and trans romantic partner, he allegedly confessed to the crime and attempted to explain himself."I had enough of his hatred," he wrote, referring to Kirk, according to court documents. "Some hate cant be negotiated out."RESEARCHERS WARN OF RISING ASSASSINATION CULTURE AFTER MURDERS OF CHARLIE KIRK, BRIAN THOMPSONHe also allegedly confessed to friends on the gaming communication app Discord, which allows for voice, video and text chats."How comfortable do you have to be with these people and believe that they're so much on the same page that you are that you're somehow OK writing that?" Rogers said. "You must firmly believe that they're all going to agree with you. And not only are they going to agree with, they're going to think that what you did was impressive."And Robinson's alleged decision to etch memes onto bullet casings used in the attack also appears eerily similar to what happened in the December assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a 50-year-old father of two gunned down from behind while visiting New York City for a shareholder conference. At the scene, suspected assassin Luigi Mangione allegedly left behind casings with words written on them in an apparent reference to a book critical of the health insurance industry.Rogers, who spent years working undercover, infiltrating extremist groups, biker gangs and militias, told Fox News Digital that he's seen corners of the internet turn into echo chambers where people can begin to radicalize.CHARLIE KIRK MEMORIAL RECEIVES HIGHEST SECURITY DESIGNATION FORM FEDERAL OFFICIALS AMID REPORTS OF THREATS"I've seen it in the undercover cases I worked, when I was hanging out with militia guys and other White supremacists, you get into these sites like he did, and you're spending hours and hours a day talking to like-minded individuals, and it really does become your reality," Rogers said. "That's where you go for everything. For socialization. They think it's news. And this becomes their reality. That's what they believe. And they believe it fervently. And I think that's what happened to him. He got there and he got there quickly."RED HATS AND CHANTS OF 'USA' MARK VIGIL HONORING SLAIN CONSERVATIVE LEADER CHARLIE KIRK: 'ACT'The root of Robinson's apparent radicalization is not immediately clear, but his mother was apparently concerned enough about his alleged leftward lurch to explain it to investigators.Rogers said parents should monitor their children's gaming and other online activities to counter the effects of potential echo chambers."Parents need to be much, much more attentive into who their kids are talking to and what they're talking about, and there's ways to do that where you don't seem overbearing," he said.TRUMP EYES REMARKS AT CHARLIE KIRK MEMORIAL IN ARIZONA, BLAMES LEFT FOR SUSPECTS RADICALIZATION"I've always been surprised how parents think that's difficult," he added. "I mean, the simple response is, 'I'm paying for your cellphone bill. I'm paying for the Wi-Fi for your laptop. So I'm having access to what you're doing.'"Rogers' class resumed Thursday evening, when he opened up the class for discussions and reflection and skipped his planned lecture. His course is normally focused on serial killers and criminal psychology, he said, adding that Kirk's assassination will likely be dissected by criminal profilers."In this particular case, the stuff that he had written on his cartridges, all those sorts of things, his social media, mean a whole lot to a profiler about the type of defendant you're dealing with," he said.Robinson faces charges including aggravated murder, which carries the potential death penalty in Utah. He may also face federal charges. Kirk was a 31-year-old father of two. He co-founded Turning Point USA, a national conservative youth organization with chapters on hundreds of university campuses, and rose to prominence not just as a conservative speaker and commentator, but by debating people in person at schools around the U.S.Turning Point's UVU chapter had sponsored the event at which Kirk was speaking with an audience member when he was killed."You, of course, want your students to feel safe walking around campus and being back," Rogers said. "And unfortunately, I think due to my career and everything I've seen, you can't just say to them, oh, everything's better because we caught the bad guy."

MIKE DAVIS: How the Trump DOJ is holding Google accountable
For more than a decade, Google operated like a digital cartel, whether it was rigging markets, crushing small businesses, or silencing conservative voices with zero consequences. The company used its monopoly over online advertising to manipulate prices, dictate who can compete, and control who gets heard. But finally, we have a president and a Department of Justice with the spine to take Google on. And its not a moment too soon.Recently, the DOJ dropped a bombshell: a sweeping proposal to rip apart Googles monopolistic chokehold on the ad tech market. The plan? Force Google to sell its ad exchange, open-source its core auction system, and, if that doesnt work, force the company to sell off its publisher ad server entirely. On top of that, the DOJ is demanding oversight and profit disgorgement to make sure Google doesnt just rebuild its empire in the shadows.'DRACONIAN' AND DANGEROUS: FORMER TRUMP NAT SEC ADVISOR SOUNDS ALARM ON BIDEN-ERA DOJ'S PLANS FOR GOOGLEThis is not "regulation" as some would have you believe. In fact, this is long-overdue antitrust law enforcement for the Big Tech giant which has run rampant in suppressing opposing voices to leftist causes. For years, Google abused its monopoly power to destroy competitors and rig the system in its favor. It has been allowed to act with impunity, thanks in no small part to Obamas pathetic antitrust amnesty, which allowed Big Tech to consolidate power without fear of consequences. That era of looking the other way while Silicon Valley crushed innovation and censored conservative political dissent is over. This latest action from the DOJ is more than justified. Its necessary. Google controls both sides of the digital advertising market, between the tools publishers use to sell ads and the exchanges advertisers use to buy them. Its rigged and corrupt. And its exactly the kind of anti-competitive garbage that breaks capitalism and destroys the marketplace of ideas.Lets not forget who gets hurt the most: small businesses, independent media outlets, startups that are trying to build something new, and conservatives ability to speak freely. Google has systematically snuffed out anything it cant control and punished anyone who dares to compete or disagree. Whether its demonetizing content or flat-out censoring dissenting voices, Google showed it doesnt just want to win the market. It wants to control the narrative.TRUMP CAN REIN IN BIDENS OUT-OF-CONTROL ANTITRUST OPERATIONNow, with the rise of generative AI, the threat is even bigger. If Google is allowed to monopolize this space like it did with ads and search, it wont just dominate markets. It will dominate the truth itself. They already manipulate what you see. With AI, theyll manipulate what you think. That should terrify every freedom-loving American. So yes, this crackdown is long overdue. But its not just about punishing Google. Its about setting a precedent. Its about restoring real competition. Its about protecting American innovation, safeguarding our economy, and defending the principles that make America great, as President Trump says.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThe DOJs proposed remedies are tough, but they can be tougher if necessary. No half-measures or easy exits. If Google is broken into pieces to restore fairness, then break it up, piece by piece. And if other Big Tech monopolists are watching, they better get the message: The era of consequence-free empire building is over. The Trump administration will ensure Big Techs monopolistic power is dismantled board by board, with the antitrust dream team of FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson, FTC Commissioner Mark Meador, and Gail Slater, the DOJs assistant attorney general for antitrust. We are not standing by while a handful of unelected tech oligarchs run this country from behind a curtain of code and censorship. Not anymore.Break them up. Make it stick. And dont stop until the free market is actually free from Googles chokehold again.

"Hes a martyr for American freedom,"The president credited Kirk for helping him win the 2024 election by inspiring young voters across the country.TRUMP HONORS CHARLIE KIRK'S LEGACY AND DESCRIBES HIM AS A 'MARTYR FOR AMERICAN FREEDOM'Trump also described the moment when his staff told him that Kirk was shot during a TPUSA event. He said that he was in the middle of a meeting in the Oval Office and called the revelation "surreal.""He didn't deserve this and our country didn't deserve this," Trump said, adding that Kirk's assassination was an attack on American democracy.Trump has survived two assassination attempts. The president said he would soon honor Kirk at the White House with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. Following his remarks, he shared the stage with Kirk's widow, Erika, and hugged her while "America the Beautiful" played across the stadium.Kirk's widow, Erika, received a standing ovation ahead of her speech honoring her late husband's legacy. Take him. Ill meet you at the hospital. I got into the back of the SUV," he said. "Charlie's so tall, we can't close the door," Turek explained, adding that the TPUSA security team drove "all the way to the hospital with the door open."He said that during the car ride he kept yelling, "Come on, Charlie! Come on! Come on!" He said that he was looking down at Kirk when he realized that the 31-year-old husband and father had died."His eyes were fixed," Turek said. "He wasn't looking at me. He was looking past me right into eternity. He was with Jesus already. He was killed instantly and felt absolutely no pain."Approximately 90,000 people gathered for Kirk's memorial service, TPUSA confirmed to Fox News Digital.About 70,000 mourners filled State Farm Stadium to capacity, while another 10,000 joined from overflow venues, including Desert Diamond Arena and other nearby viewing points. The turnout marked one of the largest public memorial services in recent years.Fox News Digital's Emma Colton and Sophia Compton contributed to this report.

Shock and resolve: Students reflect on Charlie Kirks death, future of conservative movement
Student leaders in Turning Point USA chapters across the country are still reeling from the assassination of the organizations founder, Charlie Kirk, but their resolve is strong to continue his legacy."I think we all kind of had the idea that Charlie was going to be around for at least another 50, 60 years, like, the new face of our generation leading the charge," Sarah Baldwin, vice president of the Turning Point USA chapter at the University of Michigan, told Fox News Digital. "And it's like that whole future just got taken out from under us in the course of a single day."Lauren Jones, co-president of the Turning Point USA chapter at Georgia College & State University (GCSU), felt similarly."It was instant shock, disbelief," Jones toldFox News Digital, speaking of her reaction to hearing Kirk was assassinated.CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION: TIMELINE OF UTAH CAMPUS SHOOTING DETAILS ATTACK, MANHUNT FOR SUSPECT"It was like a time period where I was like, I'm going to remember this forever," she added. "I was in my school's library. I had gotten a message about it. I was about to go do a tutoring session because I tutor privately. And I was, like, this is insane. This can't be real."Kirk, the 31-year-old founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University during hisAmerican Comeback Tour.Despite his young age, Kirk had become a giant in the conservative movement and was a key facet of President Donald Trump's 2024 election victory. He founded Turning Point USA in 2012 as an 18-year-oldwith encouragement from Tea Party activist Bill Montgomery. At the time of Kirks assassination on Sept. 10, Turning Point USA had 900 official college chapters and around 1,200 high school chapters, with a presence of 3,500 total, Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for TPUSA and an executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," said in a Sunday X post.In a Thursday post on X, TPUSA said it's gotten over 62,000 requests from high school and college students across the country to start a chapter, or get involved with an existing chapter.Jones, a co-president of the Turning Point USA at GCSU, said she had just seen Kirk at two different events and is still trying to process what happened."And I was in shock because I was like, this person who's funded this, who's influenced good conversation and good debate is now dead,"Jones said. "And I'm like, my thought with that was, how do we move forward from this?"Jones co-president, Mia Simmons, also had the opportunity to meet Kirk, and told Fox News Digital that she was struck by Kirk's character."I personally was devastated," Simmons said. "I had the opportunity to meet him this summer at the Chapter Leadership Summit that Turning Point USA puts on. And I only got to chat with him for just like a few minutes, but you could tell that he genuinely cared for every student he talked to and invested in them personally. And I know on campus here [at GCSU], my peers were devastated as well."Simmons said Kirk's death has sparked a mandate to carry his torch."After this tragedy, I really feel led to get to work, to continue to make an impact on campus with biblical and constitutional values, to spread the word on campus but also in the greater community here [in Milledgevilla, Ga.], and just encourage students to stand up for what they believe in, no matter what, even when times get hard or you feel like you're being heard, you can make a difference," Simmons said.Charlie Clontz, president of Turning Point USA at Clemson University, was in class when he heard Kirk was assassinated.CHARLIE KIRK ANSWERED 'HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE REMEMBERED' LESS THAN 3 MONTHS BEFORE KILLINGThe way forward, Clontz said, is to honor Kirks memory by preserving his legacy. Last week, the Turning Point USA Board unanimously elected Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk's wife, as the new CEO and chair of the board."We need to continue to let Charlie's legacy live on,"Clontz said. "Charlie was a passionate fighter for conservative values, constitutional liberty, freedom of speech and whatnot, and ultimately a man of faith. And that is something that we resonate heavily at Turning Point's chapter at Clemson with. And we want to continue carrying that torch."Kristina Parker, chapter president and founder of the Turning Point USA, Kennebec County Activism Hub in Waterville, Maine a homeschool chapter told Fox News Digital that the current struggle is dealing with grief while also pressing on with their mission."I think there's a huge conflict between... great sadness and people being really devastated and disappointed, and a lot of people are very angry as well at what has happened," Parker said."But then there's also this strong resolve and confidence and hope that we have, because we want to carry on Charlie's legacy and what he has done," she added. "So the two come in waves and it kind of crashes between feeling really sad about it, but also intense motivation to continue working hard because he wouldn't have wanted the movement to end with him."Connor Clayton, a senior at the University of Maryland and a former president of the school's TPUSA chapter, said Kirks mission is one that the nation's founders would have championed."I really believe that Charlie, his mission, what he was fighting for, was really just really near and dear to just our nation's principles and values," Clayton said."He fought for open dialogue, free exchange of ideas, and going out on college campuses and just trying to get to truth and knowledge," Clayton, who currently serves as the communications director of the chapters TPUSA organization, added. "Doing what our Founding Fathers wanted us to do, wanted us to have a country where we could do that, and not be suppressed with violence."Christina Ma, a sophomore at Barnard College of Columbia University, who is the founder of her universitys TPUSA chapter, told Fox News Digital there are rays of hope despite grief."Honestly, some of my friends who are conservative and have been very low-key about their beliefs before, like closeted conservatives, they actually started posting about Charlie's death and how this is a tragedy, so I'm so proud of them for speaking up," Ma said."And I do think that people now, especially conservatives, are more motivated than before in speaking up, because I think some of us have seen support from the other side that this isn't about politics. This isn't about what he believed in, but this is about how you can be killed for exercising your right to free speech," she added.CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE

Trump set to approve TikTok deal ensuring majority-American investor control: White House
President Donald Trump is expected to approve a proposed deal this week that would ensure TikTok in the United States is majority-owned by American investors and keep user data in a "trusted" cloud in the U.S., a senior White House official told Fox News Digital. The White House official said that under the new deal, U.S. operations will be run by a new joint-venture company, with its current parent company, ByteDance, holding less than 20% of the stock, as required by law."The administration looks forward to finalizing this deal with all stakeholders," the official told Fox News Digital. "President Trump is expected to sign an Executive Order later this week to approve the proposed deal."The new U.S.-based joint-venture company is expected to be majority-owned by American investors and operate in the United States by a board of directors with national security and cybersecurity credentials.FLASHBACK: TRUMP SAYS FATE OF TIKTOK SHOULD BE IN HIS HANDS WHEN HE RETURNS TO WHITE HOUSEThe board of directors is expected to consist of seven members a majority of which must be U.S. citizens based in America. A senior White House official told Fox News Digital that one member, who would not be eligible to serve on the data security committee or as board chairman, will be appointed to the board by ByteDance. The official told Fox News Digital that, under the deal, Oracle, one of the nations leading technology companies, will be TikToks trusted security provider in partnership with the United States government.Oracle would work to independently monitor and assure the safety of all TikTok operations in the United Statesspecifically regarding data security across the TikTok platform. The official told Fox News Digital that Oracles data security would include source code review, algorithm retaining, application development and deployment, and more. The official also stressed that Americans data will be securely stored in the United States without any access for China.BESSENT SAYS US, CHINA HAVE 'FRAMEWORK' ON TIKTOK DEAL; TRUMP, XI TO TALK FRIDAY TO FINALIZEAmericans user data will be stored in a trusted, secure, and purpose-built cloud environment in the U.S., run by Oracle, according to the official.Under the deal, Oracle will create a secure cloud with perimeter controls and gateways to protect and house all U.S. user data. Officials said data flows will be controlled by machine learning and other technologies."Foreign powers, like China, will not be able to access U.S. user data," the official said.As for TikToks algorithm, the official told Fox News Digital that it would be "secured, retrained, and operated in the United States outside of ByteDances control."The senior White House official said that the TikTok algorithm in the United States will be separate from ByteDances control and will be controlled entirely by the new joint-venture."The algorithm will be retrained from the ground up and protected by Oracle to ensure Americans data is safeguarded and foreign influence is removed," a senior administration official told Fox News Digital. The official said ByteDance will first create a duplicate copy of the TikTok algorithm and then lease it to the joint-venture. Oracle is then expected to operate, retrain, and continuously monitor the U.S. algorithm to ensure content is free from improper manipulation or surveillance."By leasing the duplicate algorithm, TikTok will be able to continue operating in the United States without disruption to users," the official said.Meanwhile, TikTok will remain a globally interoperable platform for U.S. users. The deal preserves the interoperability of TikTok, which ensures U.S. users can safely view TikTok content from around the world "with the confidence that their user data is secure in the United States."FROM BAN TO EMBRACE: TRUMP'S EVOLUTION ON TIKTOK AND WHAT COMES NEXT"The deal will not interrupt the user experience," the official said.As for harmful content on the platform, the U.S. joint-venture will operate independently of TikTok in other nations and will police harmful content through its terms of service. The Trump administration is touting the new deal, saying "all Americans will be able to safely enjoy the same global TikTok experience and view content from around the world with the confidence that their data is secure in the United States."The official told Fox News Digital that preserving TikToks business will generate $178 billion in economic activity in the United States over the next four years and will sustain "thousands of U.S. jobs and businesses."As for the timing of the joint-venture, the president is expected to sign an executive order to finalize the deal later this week. That order will delay enforcement of the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act for up to 120 days. The deal comes after months of negotiations after Congress, last year, enacted a law signed by then-PresidentJoe Bidenthat banned TikTok and other apps controlled by foreign adversaries. After it survived a Supreme Court challenge, the law took effect on Jan. 19, 2025, though it allowed a 90-day extension. The app was banned amid national security concerns over the Chinese government's access to user data and its ability to serve as a platform for foreign influence operations.TikTok's China-based parent company, ByteDance, refused to sell the social media platform and after President Trump took office, he issued an initial 75-day delay in enforcing the law.Trump then provided another 75-day extension in April when a dispute over tariffs derailed a pending deal on TikTok's divestment followed by a 90-day delay in June that was due to expire last week.
