Bills stun Ravens with dramatic walk-off field goal after massive 4th-quarter comeback
Another fantastic matchup between AFC heavyweights ended in thrilling fashion on Sunday night, as Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Baltimore Ravens, 41-40, thanks to a walk-off field goal. The Bills outscored the Ravens, 22-6, in the fourth quarter, and everything started turning the home teams way at Highmark Stadium when Derrick Henry, who had a stellar night otherwise, fumbled with 3:10 left in the fourth quarter while Baltimore held a 40-32 lead. After Buffalos fumble recovery, Allen found Jackson Hawes to set up the Bills on the goal line, and he leaped over his offensive line to make it a two-point game. The Bills, trying its third two-point conversion of the game, were unsuccessful for the third straight time as Keon Coleman couldnt haul in the back-shoulder fade.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe Ravens, who couldnt be stopped on offense in the first three quarters of this game, still controlled their own destiny if Lamar Jackson & Co. could get a first down. But the Bills, riding all their momentum, forced a three-and-out and Allen took advantage.Allen was dissecting the Ravens defense, with the biggest play being a 32-yard strike to new receiver Josh Palmer to get into field goal range. On the very next play, Coleman made up for the drop in the end zone with a 25-yard catch-and-run to Baltimores nine-yard line with 46 seconds left to play. The Bills were able to walk the clock down, and Matt Prater buried the 32-yard attempt to complete a miraculous comeback to begin the new season.RAVENS' LAMAR JACKSON SHOVES FAN AFTER GETTING SMACKED IN HELMET FOLLOWING TD STRIKEAllen, the reigning league MVP, racked up 394 passing yards and 30 rushing yards with four total touchdowns two passing and two rushing to start his season on the right foot. But this game appeared to be a story for Jackson and Henry after what they did against a Bills defense that didnt have an answer until the very end.Henry, who had almost 2,000 rushing yards in his first Ravens season in 2024, leads the NFL thus far in Week 1 after totaling 169 yards on 18 carries with two long touchdown runs. It was clear from the start of this game that Henry was going to pick up where he left off in 2024. The Ravens offensive line was making clear lanes at the line of scrimmage, and the bruising back didnt waste them. But Jackson was doing it all for the Ravens, too, as he scored once on the ground and was dishing out touchdown passes to Zay Flowers and DeAndre Hopkins, the latter of which being a highlight-reel snag. He finished the game with 210 passing yards with just five incompletions on his 19 attempts, while rushing for 70 yards and a score on six carries. The Ravens scored on each of its first five possessions in this game, and it began after Allen and the Bills opening their 2025 season with a perfectly executed touchdown drive, where Dalton Kincaid hauled in a strike from Allen to make it 7-0 after the extra point. Baltimore was able to get in field goal range for new kicker Tyler Loop to bury a 52-yard field goal to notch the first of his career.Once Baltimore forced a three-and-out, Henry ripped off a 30-yard touchdown early in the second quarter to give the Ravens its first lead of the new season. Then, on the teams next possession, Henry almost took it to the house yet again, this time being stopped after a 49-yard gain on just the second play from scrimmage. Two plays later, Jackson took the ball on a designed run to the left and was virtually untouched to make it 17-7 in favor of the road team. Buffalo would tally two more field goals in the first half to stay within a score, but Baltimore wasted no time when they got the ball back to start the second half. This was the Flowers drive, as the leading Ravens receiver with 143 yards got 62 of those on back-to-back plays. First, a 39-yard catch-and-run set the Ravens up in Buffalo territory just outside the red zone. Then, Jackson wasted no time finding him for a 23-yard connection that blew the ball open, 27-13.Allen, knowing the Bills needed to answer at home, dug deep and managed to go 60 yards on nine plays where James Cook, the leagues leader in rushing touchdowns a season ago, got his first of the new campaign from two yards out. The teams two-point conversion failed, leaving the score 27-19.Baltimore would continue putting pressure on the Bills, and perhaps the biggest score of the night was Hopkins, the newest Ravens receiver, showing off catching ability with a one-handed snag for a 29-yard touchdown on his first target with his new team.Allen and the Bills responded yet again when they needed a touchdown, as the quarterback scampered into the colored paint from two yards out. But Buffalo was unable to convert their two-point try, leaving it a two-score game for Baltimore.Henry, though, didnt care for the "Bills Mafia" getting rowdy in the fourth quarter. The running back busted out a 46-yard touchdown run after Jacksons 19-yard run, where he was about the same distance behind the line of scrimmage before making multiple defenders miss to keep the drive alive on third-and-10 with a first down. But it was all Buffalo after that Henry score. They put together 16 unanswered points to shock Baltimore and start the 2025 season in grand fashion.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X, and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Multiple people killed in shooting attack on Jerusalem bus
At least five people were killed and more than a dozen were injured after a group of attackers opened fire on a bus in Jerusalem Monday morning, paramedics said. The shooting unfolded at a busy intersection in northern Jerusalem, on a road that leads to Jewish settlements located in east Jerusalem.FIVE IDF SOLDIERS KILLED, 14 WOUNDED IN GAZA ROADSIDE BOMBINGIsraeli media reported that the two attackers boarded a bus and opened fire. Paramedics said 15 other people were injured and six are in serious condition.Police said two attackers were "neutralized" soon after the shooting began but have not released additional information about the attackers identities.Paramedics who responded to the scene said the area was chaotic and covered in broken glass, with people wounded and lying unconscious on the road and a sidewalk near the bus stop. The deadly attack comes as the ongoing war in Gaza approaches two years since the Oct. 7 massacre. The war in Gaza has sparked a surge of violence in both the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Israel. Palestinian militants have attacked and killed Israelis in Israel and the West Bank, while there has also been a rise in settler violence against Palestinians.A post on X from the official account of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he "is now holding an assessment with the heads of the security establishment following the attack in Jerusalem."This is a developing story. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement news highlights hidden tax burden on everyday entertainment workers
What do Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have in common? Its obvious. They represent the unluckiest pair of occupations when it comes to dealing with state income taxes. They also just got engaged. But significantly more importantly, they fall under the two categories of individuals subject to "jock taxes," an informal term for rules requiring professional athletes and entertainers to file tax returns in every state they work in, even when they fly in on the Kansas City Chiefs team airplane in the morning and leave on Taylor Swifts private jet at night. Now, before you shed too many tears for the happy couple, its unlikely that either Swift or Kelce has filed their own taxes in many years. Neither the gridiron nor the stage has ever been deprived of eithers presence because they were too busy figuring out how to credit taxes paid to another state against their home states tax liability. But jock taxes apply to more than just mega-celebrity lovebirds. While Swift and Kelce are busy counting zeroes on their paychecks, many people of far more modest means who make what they do possible are expected to file just as many tax returns as Swift and Kelce are.THE LEFT SAID MARRIAGE WAS DEAD. TAYLOR SWIFT JUST ENDORSED IT WITH HER OWN 'LOVE STORY'Thats because the definitions of "professional athletes" and "entertainers" are far broader than one might assume. Other, less noticeable individuals on the football field, such as the junior trainers bringing Kelce his Gatorade or massaging injuries, often earn salaries well below the national median. And while Swift is known for doling out generous bonuses to her staff, all entertainers jobs are made possible by a posse of production employees, background talent, security personnel, drivers and so on, most of whose salaries would be familiar to the average American. All this traveling support staff face the same requirements to file in multiple states as Kelce and Swift.SYDNEY SWEENEY JEANS CONTROVERSY MAKING ADVERTISING GREAT AGAINBeyond that, plenty of professional athletes and entertainers are not making the eye-popping incomes that Kelce and Swift are Major League Soccer players can earn as little as $80,000, WNBA players salary floor is $66,000 for 2025.Worse, minor league athletes are lumped into the "professional athlete" bucket. A 2022 study found that more than half of all minor league baseball players had to take a second job. For entertainers, it likely goes without saying that merely having a job performing in front of an audience is by no means a guarantee of wealth. Nevertheless, they all face the same requirements to file a tax return in each state they play in.For taxpayers with incomes that do not require two or more commas, having to file in many states costs not just time and exasperation, but also money. Adding an additional state to a TurboTax return can cost as much as $65, which translates to a serious hidden tax when multiplied by double-digit numbers of states. The numbers of starving artists, minor leaguers, trainers and production staffers facing these kinds of burdens far outnumber the Travises and the Taylors of the country. The solution is to narrow these over-broad definitions regarding who has to pay jock taxes, making sure they apply to Travis and Taylor and not the average Joe and Jane. States are often hesitant to tinker with their jock taxes out of the mistaken belief that taxing visiting athletes and entertainers generates huge amounts of revenue, but thats not really the case.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONOne study in March 2020 estimated that the total lost jock tax revenue, across all states, from potential pandemic-related cancellations of the remaining NBA, NFL and MLB games in 2020, would be $295 million or 0.1% of total income tax revenues alone in the 20 affected states and D.C.So if states want to send Travis and Taylor an engagement present, they dont need to direct it to the happy couple. They should send it instead to the average taxpayers who are caught in the crossfire of the state tax compliance nightmare that is meant for the nations highest-profile fiancs.

The road to prosperity will be paved byautonomoustrucking
When you sit down for dinner tonight, look at whats on your table. Every ingredient was delivered by a truck. In fact, almost everything we touch our clothes, our furniture, the groceries in our fridge hitches a ride on 18 wheels before it reaches us.Trucking, like many foundational sectors, is undergoing significant transformation. Artificial intelligence is already enhancing efficiency and productivity across various industries, and it is now making its way into logistics.Self-driving trucks, which were once just a distant concept, have now become a reality and are set to reshape logistics in the coming decade. While some individuals may feel anxious at the thought of "driverless" technology, the truth is quite different: autonomy is not a threat; it is a necessity.AsVice President JD Vancerecently pointed out, this is not the first instance where technology has raised public concern. In the 1970s, people worried the introduction of ATMs would wipe out bank tellers. Instead, the opposite happened: as automation made tellers more productive, banks grew and employment increased.TRUMP'S AI PLAN IS A BULWARK AGAINST THE RISING THREAT FROM CHINATechnology didnt eliminate work; it changed it for the better. The same shift is coming totrucking. Autonomy isnt about replacing people, its about fixing real problems: driver shortages, rising costs and global competition all while making our economy stronger. And the need for solutions is urgent. The AmericanTruckingAssociation reports that the U.S. is currently short 80,000 drivers, a number projected to double by 2030. At the same time, rising logistics costs from 7.5% of GDP in 2020 to 8.7% in 2023, are putting pressure on families and businesses alike.Global competition in this space is fierce, and China is wasting no time, aggressively investing in new technologies.Autonomousfreight systems now operate across85%of its highways, serving major logistics providers and global brands. If the U.S. fails to keep pace, we risk ceding yet another strategic industry to Beijingand with it, the economic and geopolitical influence that comes with leadership in next-generation transportation.AMERICA HAS THE POWER TO LEAD THE AI REVOLUTION AND THE LEADERSHIP TO MAKE IT HAPPENYet within this challenge lies a massive opportunity. By 2035, 13% of U.S. trucks are estimated to beautonomous, representing a$178 billionmarket segment. Globally, theautonomoustruckingsector is projected to reach $616 billion, with estimates of $327 billion for China, $178 billion for the U.S., and $112 billion for Europe. These figures arent hypothetical; they outline a roadmap for leadership, if we have the courage to seize it.Safety is another dividend. With human error responsible for90%of truck accidents, the implementation of full autonomy could lead to savings of approximately $36 billion annually in costs associated with accidents.Likewise, the productivity enhancements are substantial. While human drivers typically operate about 11 hours a day, autonomoustrucks can run nearly nonstop. The result: goods move faster, and consumers get products sooner.Continuous operations will also help to relieve the driver shortage by reserving human drivers for local routes whileautonomoustrucks take on long-haul runs. And as autonomy scales, new jobs in fleet monitoring, maintenance and logistics coordination are emerging.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONIf you want proof this strategy works, look no further than Texas. As governor, I made it a mission to bringautonomoustruckingcompanies to our state not just as a nod to innovation, but as a necessary step for economic survival. That same vision inspired the launch of the Trans-Texas Corridor, a vital answer to a population boom of nearly 23% between 1990 and 2000. And today that growth hasnt slowed, and the stakes are even higher.Clear, consistent regulations at the state level, free from unnecessary red tape, have created an environment where innovation can flourish. Today, driverless rigs haul freight between Dallas and Houston, including overnight runs, equipped with technology that can detect obstacles from three football fields away. According toThe Wall Street Journal, one fleet has impressively logged over 20,000 driverless miles since May evidence that the future of Americanautonomoustruckingis incredibly bright. These breakthroughs have not gone unnoticed. States like Arizona and New Mexico are adopting similar policies to gain the same economic advantages. In contrast, California remains entangled in red tape and bureaucratic inefficiencies. The takeaway is clear: states that remove barriers and embrace innovation wont just attract investment; theyll define the future of freight. The advancements in Texas demonstrate thatautonomoustruckingis a national necessity, not merely a technological experiment. It means faster, safer, more affordable transportation and gives us a decisive edge in a competitive global economy. With that said, Washington should take a cue from the Lone Star State. If it does, we can keep the future of freight stamped "Made in the USA."CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM RICK PERRY

Trump's energy price promise is coming due. He has the power to solve the crisis
President Donald Trump has been racing at breakneck speed to keep all his campaign promises. Yet he has only four months left to fulfill his vow to halve electricity prices by the end of his first year. Fighting against the fallout of the Biden administrations harmful anti-fossil fuel agenda, the president faces stiff headwinds. The only way the president can meet his self-imposed deadline is to change course quickly, reject Bidens mistakes and unlock the potential of every available electron. So far, the trend lines arent looking good. In the last year, electricity prices have risentwice as fast as inflation, and the Energy Information Administrationestimatesthat retail electricity prices will continue to outpace inflation through next year, with residential prices surging between 13% to 18% higher than in 2022.Though, traditionally, consumers have been much more concerned about gas prices a number they see projected on highway signs and experience firsthand multiple times a month at the pump the experience of electricity price spikes instead of the promised price cuts will risk diminishing Trumps popular support.'WEB OF DARK MONEY' TIED TO OBAMA, DEMS FUELS GREEN OPPOSITION TO CRUCIAL TRUMP ENERGY PLANWhats worse, these price hikes will arrive before the midterms, when Trump will be battling to retain his slim congressional majorities. The current price hikes arent Trumps fault. Instead, he inherited a market with increasing and unprecedented energy demand coupled with the fallout from the Biden administrations harmful policies to phase out fossil fuels.Technological innovations like cloud and quantum computing, crypto mining, electric vehicle adoption, streaming services and, most of all, AI data centers, all have tremendous energy demands, which drive electricity prices higher. Rand estimates global AI data centers alone will need327 GWof energy by 2030. To put that into perspective, the entire state of California used 86 GW of energy in 2022.'LEFTIST' TAXPAYER-FUNDED ACADEMY SPARKS BACKLASH AFTER MOVING AGAINST TRUMP'S ROLLBACK OF KEY REGULATIONIn the face of rising demand, the Biden administration embarked on an aggressive program to curtail legacy energy production. The Biden EPA imposed new emissions restrictions that effectively forced the retirement of coal and natural gas power plants and manipulated regulations across agencies to hem in traditional fuel sources. If these Biden-era policies didnt cause the current electricity price spikes, they at least allowed todays demand-induced price increases to hit consumers unabated.Trump now has to deal with a crisis not of his own making. With his firm commitments to win the AI race, advance crypto and reshore energy-intensive manufacturing such as semiconductor production, Trump can only keep electricity prices in check by massively increasing supply to meet rising demand.Unfortunately, his administration appears to be repeating the same mistakes as Bidens, just colored with a different ideology.TRUMP BREAKS 'DAY ONE' PROMISE TO LOWER COSTS AS PRICES SURGE ACROSS AMERICA IN FIRST SIX MONTHSWhere the Biden administration cut energy supplies by attacking fossil fuel production, the Trump administration is limiting alternative and renewable energy sources.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONThe One Big Beautiful Bill rescinds tax incentives for renewables, while the administration has advanced multipleordersandrulesthat limit clean energy, from halting offshore wind leases to curbing solar tax credits."Drill, baby, drill" is a great energy policy, but its not enough by itself. While America producednearly enough energyfrom fossil fuels (86.3 quads) to supply our nations entire energy consumption (93.59 quads) in 2023, the fact is, we need alternative energy sources just to meet current demands. When the future requires even more energy, the necessity for alternative energy will only increase. The cheapest way to put more electrons into the power grid immediately is to erect significantly more solar and energy storage infrastructure, coupled with natural gas peaker plants that can be rapidly turned on during peak hours.WHY AI IS CAUSING SUMMER ELECTRICITY BILLS TO SOARIn the medium term, America needs to increase nuclear energy production, build more energy infrastructure like electric transmission lines and natural gas pipelines, and construct geothermal power plants while deploying grid-enhancing technology, improving demand response and increasing energy efficiency. With the growing adoption of solar and EVs, the United States can even create an aggregated network of residential, virtual power plants that only draw energy in low-use times while feeding energy back into the grid when its needed most. The point is, every energy source and efficiency measure must be deployed if we have any hope of keeping prices in check.President Trump cant be blamed for the current rise in energy prices. But he could be blamed down the road if his administration continues to limit supply by favoring one source of energy over others. At the end of each month, most consumers dont care where their energy comes from; they only care that its cheap.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM NEIL CHATTERJEE

Second to your family, second to the audience, second to everybody. You live to serve, so its very much a calling in that aspect. 'Harmless' virus found lurking in Parkinson's patients' brains, new study shows
A virus long thought to be harmless may actually play a role in Parkinsons disease, a condition that affects more than one million Americans.Northwestern Medicine scientists discovered Human Pegivirus (HPgV) in the brains and spinal fluid of people with Parkinsons, but not in those without the disease. The results challenge decades of assumptions about the virus."HPgV is a common, symptomless infection previously not known to frequently infect the brain," Dr. Igor Koralnik, chief of neuroinfectious diseases at Northwestern, said in a press release."We were surprised to find it in the brains of Parkinsons patients at such high frequency and not in the controls."TRAINED DOGS CAN SMELL PARKINSON'S DISEASE BEFORE SYMPTOMS SHOW UP, STUDY FINDSThe findings were published in the journal JCI Insight.Researchers examined post-mortem brain tissue from 10 Parkinsons patients and 14 people who died of other causes. The virus appeared in five of the 10 Parkinsons brains and none of the 14 controls.NEW WEEKLY INJECTION FOR PARKINSON'S COULD REPLACE DAILY PILL FOR MILLIONS, STUDY SUGGESTSIt also turned up in spinal fluid samples, suggesting the virus could be active in the nervous system. Patients carrying HPgV showed more advanced brain changes tied to Parkinsons, including protein buildup and altered brain chemistry. The team didnt stop at brain tissue. Using blood samples from more than 1,000 participants in a project led by The Michael J. Fox Foundation, researchers saw the same immune system changes linked to the virus.Even more striking: patients with a Parkinsons-related mutation in the LRRK2 gene responded differently to HPgV than those without the mutation."This suggests it could be an environmental factor that interacts with the body in ways we didnt realize before," Koralnik said."It may influence how Parkinsons develops, especially in people with certain genetic backgrounds."STANFORD SCIENTISTS 'TOTALLY SURPRISED' BY POTENTIAL PARKINSON'S TREATMENT DISCOVERYParkinsons disease is the second most common brain disorder after Alzheimers, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. While a small percentage of cases are inherited, most patients dont have a family history, and the cause has remained unknown. If HPgV truly plays a role, it could help explain why some people develop Parkinsons while others do not. It could also open the door to new treatments targeting viruses or the immune system."The study detected traces of HPgV more often in brains of people with Parkinsons disease than in controls. This raises the possibility of a link between viral exposure and Parkinsons, but its far too early to say the virus causes the disease," Dr. Joel Salinas, a behavioral neurologist and associate professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, told Fox News Digital.LIVING NEAR A GOLF COURSE IS LINKED TO PARKINSONS RISK IN NEW STUDY AS SOME CITE LIMITATIONSSalinas, who was not involved in the study, also said that much larger and longer-term studies will be needed to determine whether this association has real clinical significance."For now, people should know this is early research and not a reason to worrytheres no overwhelming evidence yet that this virus causes Parkinsons, similar to how work on herpesviruses in Alzheimers has suggested a possible link but remains to be fully established."According to the Parkinsons Foundation, nearly 90,000 Americans are diagnosed every year. That number is expected to reach 1.2 million by 2030.MORE IN HEALTH NEWSThe Northwestern team plans to expand their study to see how often HPgV is found in people with Parkinsons versus healthy controls, and whether other viruses may be involved."For a virus that was thought to be harmless, these findings suggest it may have important effects in the context of Parkinsons disease," Koralnik said.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTER"We also aim to understand how viruses and genes interact; insights that could reveal how Parkinsons begins and could help guide future therapies."
