Top Senate Republican ready to 'roll over' Democrats with rule change to confirm Trump nominees
FIRST ON FOX: Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso is ready to go nuclear on Senate Democrats and their blockade of President Donald Trumps nominees. Before leaving Washington, D.C., to their respective home states, Senate Republicans were on the verge of a deal with their colleagues across the aisle to hammer out a deal to ram through dozens of Trumps picks for non-controversial positions. But those talks fell apart when Trump nuked any further negotiations over funding demands from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. Currently, there are 145 pending nominations on the Senates executive calendar, with that number expected to balloon when the upper chamber reopens for business.SENATE GOP READY TO GO NUCLEAR AFTER SCHUMER'S 'POLITICAL EXTORTION' OF NOMINEESLawmakers are set to return on Tuesday, and Barrasso, R-Wyo., wants to immediately tackle the nomination quandary. Hes engaged in a public pressure campaign, writing an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal directly calling out Schumer.Meanwhile, hes facilitated talks among Senate Republicans on the best path forward, and told Fox News Digital in an interview that, at this point, hes willing to do anything necessary to see the presidents picks confirmed."We need to either get a lot of cooperation from the Democrats, or we're going to have to roll over them with changes of the rules that we're going to be able to do in a unilateral way, as well as President Trump making recess appointments," he said.Senate Democrats, under Schumer's direction, are unlikely to play ball, however.Schumer, in response to Barrassos public jab against him and Senate Democrats, contended in a statement that "historically bad nominees deserve a historic level of scrutiny by Senate Democrats."TRUMP TELLS SCHUMER TO 'GO TO HELL' OVER SENATE NOMINEE DEAL FUNDING DEMANDS AFTER NEGOTIATIONS COLLAPSE"Anybody nominated by President Trump is, in Schumer's words, historically bad. Why? Because they were nominated by President Trump," Barrasso shot back. "That is his sole criteria for which these people are being gone after and filibustered, each and every one of them, even those that are coming out of committee, many, many of whom are with bipartisan support."Unilaterally changing the rules, or the nuclear option, would allow Republicans to make tweaks to the confirmation process without help from Democrats, but it could also kneecap further negotiations on key items that would require their support to advance beyond the Senate filibuster.Barrasso was not worried about taking that route, however, and noted that the nominees that he and other Republicans were specifically considering would be "sub-Cabinet level positions" and ambassadors.Up for discussion are changes to the debate time, what kind of nominee could qualify for a speedier process and whether to give the president runway to make recess appointments, which would require the Senate to go into recess and allow Trump to make appointments on a temporary basis.DEMS DIG IN, TRUMP DEMANDS ALL: NOMINEE FIGHT BOILS OVER IN SENATE AS GOP LOOKS FOR A DEAL"When you take a look at this right now, it takes a 30-minute roll-call vote to get on cloture, and then two hours of debate time, and then another 30-minute roll-call vote," Barrasso said. "Well, that's three hours, and it's time when you can't do legislation, you can't do any of the other things."But there is a menu of key items that Congress will have to deal with when they return, particularly the deadline to fund the government by Sept. 30.Barrasso acknowledged that reality, and noted that it was because of the hefty schedule that he wanted a rules change to be put front and center."There's not going to be any time to or there's going to be limited time, I should say, to actually get people through the nominations process, which is just going to drag on further, and you'll have more people having hearings and coming out of committees," he said. "This backlog is going to worsen this traffic jam at the Schumer toll booth. So, we are going to do something, because this cannot stand."

'You belong with me:' Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement could inspire wedding boom
Music icon Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelces engagement may spark a wedding boom, according to some experts. The dynamic duo announced their engagement in an Instagram post on Tuesday, 13 days after Swift appeared on the Kelce brothers "New Heights Podcast," an ode to the singers lucky number. "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," the pair commented in their announcement. TAYLOR SWIFT AND NFL STAR TRAVIS KELCE ARE ENGAGED AFTER 2 YEARS TOGETHERNow, love could be in the air for young Americans everywhere."Taylor and Travis represent something rare in celebrity culture: mutual admiration and grounded authenticity," relationship expert Colette Jane Fehr told Fox News Digital. "Their story has the power to spark what Id call a celebration boom, not just in weddings but in couples investing more intentionally in their own relationships. Wedding planners and venues should prepare for couples who want ceremonies that reflect joy, playfulness, and heartfelt connection, qualities Taylor and Travis model so beautifully."Fehr revealed that when a visible couple like Travis and Taylor celebrate their love in such an authentic and playful way, it has the power to influence cultural trends."Their engagement shows that true connection, rooted in humor, respect, and presence, thrives even under the worlds spotlight," she said. "Couples everywhere will look to them as proof that love doesnt have to be performative; it can be deeply joyful and real. That kind of visibility can inspire a wave of weddings where couples want to emulate not just the style, but the spirit of their bond."HARO founder Peter Shankman told Fox News Digital that the love story is what people are "craving" right now."Simply put, in the world we live in right now, something "happy" is rare and it's what people are craving," Shankman said. "Once thewedding happens, look for thousands of couples to immediately request a lower-level version of whatever they wind up doing. Unlike the $75 million Bezos wedding, this one will be seen as kind, as happy, as all-welcoming. That's what people will want."The marketing consultant said if he was a wedding planner, hed put together "happy vibes" wedding packages before knowing the couples plans for the big day."The end result is to get people to equate their wedding with the "good vibes" that will certainly come from the T&T wedding. That's what's going to sell over the next few years."The Determined Society founder and host Shawn French predicts the couples choice of where to marry will instantly become the "most coveted wedding destination in the world.""The Swift Effect is proven in the economy her tour boosted local GDPs; it will translate the same way in the wedding industry," he said. "Couples dont just book venues; they book stories. If Swift and Kelce say 'I do' at a certain venue, fans will attach emotional significance to that space, making it a symbolic place to begin their own love story."

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer speaks out after Micah Parsons exit: 'Nothing has changed'
On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys agreed to a trade that sent star pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, in what is expected to be an NFL-altering transaction.Parsons was a key part of the Cowboys defense. Without him on the roster, many questioned how competitive Dallas would be in 2025. First-year Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer sent a clear message about his belief in the team's goals entering the season."Nothing has changed," Schottenheimer said. "My goals haven't changed. Our team goals haven't changed. I hit the players on that today after I talked about the tough couple days for all the guys. It doesn't change. The standard is the standard."CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMSchottenheimer then responded to a question about the franchise's pursuit of a Vince Lombardi Trophy by suggesting it takes a team effort to win a championship."I would say Micah is an incredible player," Schottenheimer said. "Nobody disputes that. He's a great player, but this is the ultimate team game. It's the ultimate team game, and we're not going to win a championship with just one person."COWBOYS PLAYERS, INCLUDING CEEDEE LAMB, REACT TO STUNNING MICAH PARSONS TRADE TO PACKERS"It's going to take variations of the 69 guys plus that we have on this roster. Injuries are a big part of this. We've built our depth up, and we've done those things. Those would be the things I would say. At the end of the day, this is the greatest team sport in the world, and you have to have pieces in place. I think we have a lot of really good players in place."On Friday evening, the Packers shared social media videos and photos of Parsons at the team facility.Parsons also addressed the media. "I think it sunk in a little bit for me yesterday when I was going a little crazy with the (family), but just being in here and taking in just the facilities and everything and the welcome I think I'm pretty honed in."Despite Schottenheimer's stance, oddsmakers gave the Packers championship prospects a significant boost after the team landed Parsons.Parsons finished his four-year run in Dallas with 52.5 sacks. He is scheduled to return to AT&T Stadium on Sept. 28, when the Packers visit the Cowboys.Follow Fox News Digitals sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

NFL, NBA sports doctor weighs in on Mamdani's viral 135-pound bench press fail: 'Trump could lift more'
Political pundits and social media users quickly seized the opportunity to make viral the moment when socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani struggled to bench press a barbell supposedly loaded with an estimated 135 pounds.During the annual Men's Day open streets event in Brooklyn last weekend, Mamdani failed to press the weight alone and required full bar support from a spotter."If youre not able to hit that, its like a slap to your manhood," Dr. Chad Teague, NFL and NBA sports doctor, told Fox News Digital.MAMDANI STRUGGLES WITH BENCH PRESS AT BROOKLYN EVENT"I think Biden could probably lift more than that," Teague said."I think that Trump could lift more than Mamdani," he added. "For sure."Teague is a chiropractic physician based in Cleveland where he runs Code Chiro, a practice he co-founded with his wife. Together, they treat professional athletes, including NFL stars like Myles Garrett, David Njoku, Jarvis Landry, Raheem Mostert, and Denzel Ward, as well as NBA players such as Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors and Tre'shaun Mann of the Charlotte Hornets, among others."You want to have your feet more grounded on the ground and when he started lifting, his feet came up," Teague said. "Thats a pretty good sign of struggle."MAMDANI SEEMINGLY TAKES SWIPE AT SCANDALS SURROUNDING ERIC ADAMS IN NEW VIDEO: I HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE'New York City Mayor Eric Adams took to social media to brand Mamdani as "Mamscrawny" and Andrew Cuomo said of his rival, "This guy cant bench his own body weight, let alone carry the weight of leading the most important city in the world."Teague told Fox News Digital the spotter was superfluous but that it doesnt look like Mamdani exercises."Usually, most people aren't getting spots at 135," he said. "It's usually a warm-up weight for most males in their midlife."CUOMO, ADAMS TRADE SHOTS OVER WHO SHOULD DROP OUT IN RACE AGAINST MAMDANI FOR NYC MAYORTeague encourages Mamdani to get into the gym, beginning first with form correction, as the NYC mayoral candidate is at risk of injury. He also emphasizes the importance of proper technique for gym-goers of all levels.Teague advises starting with a thorough warm-up, including push-ups or rotator cuff exercises like banded external rotations. Additionally, he recommends establishing a solid foundation with stable feet, engaging the core, and ensuring correct hand placement. The sports doctor advises incorporating exercises that target the key muscles involved in a bench press, such as the pectoralis major, certain tricep muscles, and the rotator cuff for stabilization, at least once per week. To get the blood flowing, it is recommended to perform movements such as Turkish get-ups, incline bench presses, or flat bench presses.MEET MAMDANI'S RADICAL ADVISORY CIRCLE THAT INCLUDES COMMUNIST ACTIVIST, ANTI-ISRAEL ADVOCATESTeague mentioned that the athletes he trains use landmine presses and single-arm movements to strengthen the anterior side of the shoulder and chest."Myles Garrett definitely has to be the strongest person Ive ever worked with, and if not, that would be a surprise," Teague said. "Raheems got to be up there."For beginner lifters, in particular, Teague advises lifters should begin with 10-20 reps using a more manageable barbell or minimal weight to effectively prime your shoulders for the movement."Learn how your body reacts to 8-10 reps at a certain weight and then see how your body recovers," he said. "Then, maybe try to add a little bit of weight the next time."Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

The incident is tied to the ongoing wave of Salesforce-related cyberattacks that have hit major companies this year.In a notice published on its website, the U.S. insurance giant said the breach occurred on May 29, 2025, through one of its third-party vendors. Farmers serves over 10 million households nationwide. It offers auto, home, life, and business insurance through a vast network of agents and subsidiaries."On May 30, 2025, one of Farmers' third-party vendors alerted Farmers to suspicious activity involving an unauthorized actor accessing one of the vendor's databases containing Farmers' customer information," the company wrote in its advisory.According to the company, the vendor's monitoring tools detected the intrusion quickly, allowing containment measures to be taken. Farmers said it immediately launched an investigation, notified law enforcement, and worked to determine the scope of the breach. The investigation revealed that the stolen data included customer names, addresses, dates of birth, and driver's license numbers. In some cases, the last four digits of Social Security numbers. Farmers began notifying affected individuals on Aug. 22, with a filing to the Maine Attorney General's Office confirming that 1,111,386 customers were impacted. While Farmers did not publicly name the vendor involved, reports indicate that the breach is part of the larger Salesforce data theft campaign carried out by threat actors this year.ALLIANZ LIFE INSURANCE DATA BREACH EXPOSES 1.4 MILLION AMERICANSThe Salesforce attacks have been ongoing since early 2025. Researchers attributed them to a threat actor cluster tracked as UNC6040/UNC6240. The intrusions typically begin with voice phishing (vishing) calls, where employees are tricked into approving a malicious OAuth application linked to their company's Salesforce instance.Once connected, attackers siphon customer relationship management (CRM) databases and use the stolen data in extortion attempts. The cybercrime group ShinyHunters has claimed responsibility, according to BleepingComputer. The group claims that the attacks involve overlapping threat groups, including members of the notorious Scattered Spider gang."Like we have said repeatedly already, ShinyHunters and Scattered Spider are one and the same," a representative told the publication."They provide us with initial access, and we conduct the dump and exfiltration of the Salesforce CRM instances. Just like we did with Snowflake."The Salesforce campaign has affected a growing list of high-profile companies, including Google, Cisco, Workday, Adidas, Qantas, Allianz Life and luxury brands under LVMH such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Tiffany & Co.GOOGLE CONFIRMS DATA STOLEN IN BREACH BY KNOWN HACKER GROUPIn response to CyberGuy's inquiry, a Farmers Insurance spokesperson shared the following statement:"At Farmers, protecting our customers' information is our top priority. We recently discovered that an unauthorized third party briefly accessed a vendor's system that contained some Farmers' customer information. The incident involved only limited information from certain customers. An investigation-conducted with both internal and external security experts-found no evidence that the exposed data has been misused, nor any indication that Farmers' own systems were compromised. Viral Cincinnati beating suspects: full list of offenders, charges and custody statuses
As the investigation into a viral beating in Cincinnati that shook the nation and has been described as "a racial issue" continues, a victim and multiple suspects are facing criminal charges. In the early morning hours of July 26, a confrontation outside the LoVe nightclub, located on the corner of Fourth and Elm Street in the city's downtown business district, led to a horrific beatdown that was captured on video. The video circulated rapidly on social media, sparking fury as at least two White victims were pummeled into the ground by a group of Black suspects. Once on the ground, the suspects did not back off. Instead, they continued to stomp on the victims, one of whom was left with a life-altering brain issue.CINCINNATI BEATDOWN SUSPECT INDICTED ON FEDERAL DRUG CONSPIRACY CHARGESThe fallout from the assault has thrown city leadership into turmoil, as Mayor Aftab Pureval was missing in action for several days following the incident, leading to the local Fraternal Order Police (FOP) unanimously voting no-confidence in him.Meanwhile, suspects have been rounded up locally and across state lines. All have been charged at the state level, and some face serious federal charges. Here is the status of each suspect:Mathews, who has been described by prosecutors as the "coordinator" of the brawl, is in federal custody after being arrested Monday on charges unrelated to the beatdown. He has been charged federally with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and operating a premises for the purpose of trafficking narcotics.Thursday, he appeared before a federal judge for a bond hearing, and his attorney Kara Blackney successfully argued that since he has no prior violent felony convictions and plenty of ties to the Cincinnati community, including three children and a business, he should be released from custody while awaiting trial on those charges. However, federal prosecutors immediately appealed that decision, and as of Friday, Mathews remained in custody where he will stay until the appeal is heard. Those drug charges arose after he posted a $270,000 bond and was released from local custody on the charges stemming from the fight: three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault and two counts of aggravated rioting. After the July 26 melee, Merriweather was assessed a $250,000 bond on three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault and two counts of aggravated rioting. He did not post bond.On Aug. 13, he was charged federally with illegally possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon stemming from a July 2 incident.Despite the federal charge, Hamilton County Jail records indicate that Merriweather is still being held in Cincinnati.CINCINNATI BEATDOWN SUSPECTS ARRAIGNED ON NEW CHARGES; BOND CHANGES SPARK COURTROOM DRAMARosemond, who is the suspect accused of nearly beating a victim, Holly, to death, remains in local custody on a $500,000 bond for three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault and two counts of aggravated rioting. He is described as a "main instigator" of the fight.Holly revealed that she suffered "very bad brain trauma" during the attack, and is unsure the degree to which she will recover. She can be seen in the viral video being knocked unconscious and falling onto the pavement at the intersection of Fourth and Elm Street. He was arrested in Georgia and hauled back to Cincinnati, where he was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on Aug. 14.Wright was booked into the county jail on Aug. 11 on charges of aggravated riot and aggravated robbery. He is accused of snatching a chain off of one of the victims during the beatdown before proceeding "to film the rest of the events."Wright has 22 prior arrests and two prior felony convictions, one for trafficking heroin and one for possessing a firearm as a prohibited person. He is being held on $100,000 bond.Kittle has been charged with three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault and two counts of aggravated rioting and is being held on a $150,000 bond in the Hamilton County Jail.At an Aug. 14 arraignment, he was ordered to remain in jail pending a mental health assessment. During that hearing, his attorney said he suffers from schizophrenia and has been found not guilty by way of insanity on previous charges.Nonetheless, prosecutors called him a "grave danger to the community."CINCINNATI RESIDENTS ON EDGE AFTER VIRAL BEATDOWN SPARKS CRIME CONCERNS: 'WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT?'Vernon is one of two female suspects who was arrested in connection with the attack. She faces three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault and two counts of aggravated rioting. However, during her arraignment, her bond was dropped from $250,000 to $25,000 at 10%, with the judge citing her lack of a criminal history. She paid that bond and was released from jail with an electronic ankle monitor pending trial.Devaughn is also out on bond pending trial.During her arraignment, her bond was lowered from $300,000 to $25,000 at 10%, which she later posted. She faces three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault and two counts of aggravated rioting. An eighth person, 45-year-old Alex Tchervinski, a victim of the brawl, has been charged with disorderly conduct related to the assault.Tchervinski can be seen in the viral video slapping one of the suspects, which his lawyer claims occurred after he had already been hit.His lawyer, Douglas Brannon, said his client was allegedly hit in the head 28 times and robbed during the attack, while trying to protect his girlfriend and another friend during the melee.CINCINNATI BUSINESS OWNERS SLAM VIRAL 'OUT OF CONTROL' BEATING AMID FIGHT TO CLEAN UP DOWNTOWN"What this has done, it has made Alex a victim now for the second time by bringing criminal charges against him," Brannon told Fox News Digital. "What actually occurred is Alex was hit multiple times, before he slapped back in an attempt to try and defend himself and back off this group of thugs."Tchervinski's arrest has become a point of contention between the police and the mayor's office. When the FOP voted no-confidence in Pureval earlier this week, they said Aftab also ordered the city solicitor to charge a White victim of the brutal beatdown with a crime "solely to appease racial tensions at the urging of a few community leaders."One of those community leaders, Reverend Damon Lynch, demanded that the victims be arrested at a press conference with Aftab in the week following the attack."For those who want to racialize it, then a black man stepped in between the combatants, separated them and said, this is about stop fighting, everybody needs to chill,'" said Lynch, who is Black. "And then, for those who want to racialize it, the white man being steps back in the ring and slaps not the black man that he had just squared up with, but slaps another black man. So after that he was met with disproportionate force.""But when I see the mugshots, I only see people who look like me," he said. "I don't see the person who re-engaged. And so until we see all the mugshots, this is still a racial issue."Aftab agreed."I agree with Pastor Lynch, that there is no doubt that this public safety challenge, that this incident will require further investigation, further charges and further arrests for every single person involved," he said.It still remains unclear what exactly sparked the beatings, but the investigation remains ongoing. Police are currently searching for at least one more suspect.Fox News' Julia Bonavita contributed to this report.

DAN GAINOR: Demon rabbits, Taylor and Travis, hot dog havoc: Augusts 7 wildest stories
I bet you thought bunnies were nice, normal, cuddly critters except for the vorpal bunny of "Monty Python" fame. Turns out, we were all wrong. According to The Associated Press, theres a group of rabbits in Colorado with grotesque horn-like growths that may seem straight out of a low-budget horror film. Hide your kids, hide your wives and dig out your VHS copy of "Night of the Lepus." This is a disturbingly strange reality of bunnies gone bad. Its what AP refers to as a "mostly harmless" Shope papillomavirus, which causes wart-like growths that protrude from their faces like metastasizing horns.Cute and cuddlies looking like something out of a Stephen King story is not "mostly harmless" in my world. I love this line from The Washington Post headline about the story: "Theyre harmless, experts say." Experts probably also ran away screaming, so I wouldnt trust their opinions.Understandably, the rabbits have earned the appropriate nicknames: "Frankenstein bunnies," "demon rabbits" and "zombie rabbits." Perhaps the virus or bug is also the cause of the myth of bunnies with antlers known as jackalopes. Or maybe they are behind the whole thing. In the meantime, Ill stick to calling them Bugs Bunnies.WILD RABBITS SPOTTED WITH STRANGE 'HORN-LIKE' GROWTHS SPROUTING FROM THEIR HEADS2. Dont say that! For the geezers among us (ahem!), we recall when strict parents would threaten to wash our mouths out with soap if we used bad words. According to Politico, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is one step away from instituting that bad word policy. The left-leaning political site wrote a piece about a new memo outlining 45 words and phrases party members shouldnt say. It ran under the headline: "The woke words Democrats should cut from their vocabulary." This, after popularizing the same stupid terms for years. The list reads like a bingo card for people watching a Democratic convention. Here are the highlights: "privilege triggering microaggression body-shaming cultural appropriation the unhoused birthing person cisgender LGBTQIA+." There are others nearly as bad, but you get the idea.Matt Bennett, Third Ways executive vice president of public affairs, said they are trying to "get Democrats to talk like normal people." Note: He didnt say act or pretend to be "normal people." He just wants them to talk that way.DEMOCRATS URGED TO DITCH 'PRIVILEGE,' 'LATINX' AND DOZENS OF OTHER TERMS 'ALIENATING' VOTERSNational political correspondent Adam Wren added, "Its worth noting that in certain parts of the country, a lot of people, especially now, do talk in this language and use the phrases Third Way recommends against." Of course, he failed to mention that Politico is one of those places.3. Travis and Taylor: Id be remiss if I skipped out on the biggest global stories of our time. No, not the Middle East, Ukraine or China. Im talking about the engagement of pop superstar Taylor Swift and Super Bowl-winning NFL tight end Travis Kelce. Leave it to The Washington Post to deliver a ridiculous commentary in a click quest. They ran this headline: "Did Travis propose to Taylor on the wrong knee? We went to the experts." Just what the happy couple "kneeds."Readers know that Im no Chiefs fan, but come on. The guy got down on one knee and proposed to his love. Shut up about the rest already. The article added, "Some eagle-eyed commenters (and we wont lie, a few Post journalists) were quick to point out that Kelce dropped to his right knee instead of his left, sparking etiquette critiques." Hes 35 and has 12 NFL seasons under his belt. Hes probably happy at least one of his knees still bends.District of Chaos: Honest residents of the Washington, D.C., area (yeah, thats asking a lot) admit that the district has been a disaster area for decades. We had the crack epidemic, Mayor Marion Barry, carjackings and more. Now, finally, someone is doing something about it that guy on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., also in the same district. And the left cant stand it. They scream, they stamp their feet they call for statehood. Yep, you read that right. The folks at The Nation just posted a piece headlined, "D.C. Statehood: Now, More Than Ever." Author John Nichols criticized Republicans and declared, "Democrats must make it clear that as part of the broader voting rights renaissance that must follow the Trump years D.C. statehood will top their agenda." Rewarding D.C. for decades of incompetence is certainly a party platform. Maybe a frat party, because it involves a lot of drinking.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONSlightly overdue: The phrase "better late than never" finally met its perfect test case. A family member just returned a library book to the San Antonio Public Library a bit late. The book, "Your Child, His Family, and Friends," was checked out in July 1943. Thats around the time of the Allied invasion of Sicily a mere 82 years ago. And longer, by a couple of years, than the median life expectancy. Put another way, almost everyone who was alive at that time isnt now.The borrowed handbook was written by marriage and family counselor Frances Bruce Strain. A family member included a note, according to AP: "The book must have been borrowed by my grandmother, Maria del Socorro Aldrete Flores (Cortez). In that year, she transferred to Mexico City to work at the U.S. Embassy. She must have taken the book with her, and some 82 years later, it ended up in my possession." That library fine could probably pay off the national debt.Even creepier: Former CNN anchor Jim Acosta managed an item more disturbing than horned bunnies. Acosta, in a desperate quest for attention, interviewed a computer-programmed avatar of deceased teenager Joaquin Oliver. It was all part of an effort to push gun control on an easily duped public. Given the rise of AI in recent months, we can expect a steady diet of computer programs claiming to represent actual people. Basically, the worst of the holodeck experience in "Star Trek" coupled with lefty scolds like Acosta. Max Headroom, here we come.Hot dog! Usually, when you hear that expression, its one of excitement. Or perhaps somebody spotted Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, who won his 17th Nathans Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest by downing 70.5 hot dogs and buns. Not this time.To the chagrin of all hot-dog-eating Americans, the AP reported that, "A truckload of hot dogs spilled across a Pennsylvania interstate" to begin the month. Authorities had to turn to a front-end loader to scoop up the slippery dogs.I think "front-end loader" should be Chestnuts new nickname. They sure needed his skills along with a mustard truck.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DAN GAINOR

Parents: Virginia boys suspended after questioning transgender locker room policy were ignored by school
A pair of parents from Virginia say their sons, who were suspended and found responsible for sexual harassment after questioning why a biological female was using the boys locker room, were provided no formal way to express discomfort with their school's transgender locker room policy.Parents Renae Smith and Seth Wolfe say unclear policies and poor communication on the part of the Loudoun County Public Schools District led to the Title IX ruling and 10-day suspension for the boys. They say their kids were never instructed on how to communicate any potential concerns about the district's transgender locker room or pronoun policy, nor did parents ever get notified about how to help their kids understand them.Earlier this year, the Loudoun County school district launched a sexual harassment investigation into the two boys after they were videotaped by a biological female who identified as transgender inside the boys locker room. The video caught them outwardly complaining to each other about the fact that there was a girl using their facilities.VIRGINIA SCHOOL DISTRICT VOTES TO KEEP GENDER BATHROOM POLICY, DEFYING DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION DIRECTIVESmith, Wolfe and their attorney, Josh Hetzler, said the boys tried to speak to alert administrators about their discomfort with a biological female using their locker room. However, the concerns fell on deaf ears, they recounted."There was an incident earlier in the year where one of the students involved with this went to another administration and was uncomfortable with it. They were pretty much just told, This is how it is and to accept it, and they're not supposed to say anything about it," Wolfe relayed to Fox News Digital."The more we look into it, no adult ever actually told these boys how to communicate with this individual. How to use the pronouns that are appropriate. They never gave us as parents opportunities to even talk to our children about this.""I specifically asked my son what they did to prepare them for this type of situation and the answer was absolutely nothing," Smith added. "If you're going to implement this policy on paper, you better have a strategy for it in the classroom."In response to accusations that the boys' complaints fell on deaf ears, the district contested that it has never suspended a student "simply because they expressed some kind of discomfort.""At no time would LCPS suspend a student simply because they expressed some kind of discomfort," district spokesperson Dan Adams told Fox News Digital. "A reading of our Title IX resources should make it clear that there is a high bar to launch a Title IX investigation and an even higher bar to determine a student is in violation of Title IX."Fox News Digital responded with questions about what the district was accusing the boys of beyond expressing discomfort but did not hear back.VIRGINIA SCHOOL DISTRICT ACCUSED OF RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION IN TRANSGENDER LOCKER ROOM CASEIn addition to the confusing nature of the ongoing school controversy, Smith told Fox News Digital she thought the allegations themselves were also confusing."I think the allegations themselves lend a lot of confusion," Smith said. "Like, how do we get to sexual harassment based off of somebody asking why there's a girl in their locker room?"Smith also questioned why the other student, who filmed the boys, was not similarly disciplined.Smith and Wolfe, along with their attorney, are appealing the Loudoun County Public Schools Title IX ruling, which found their kids responsible for sexual harassment and suspended them for 10 days. While Smith has taken her child out-of-state, Wolfe's son has been able to attend the first several days of school because the appeal put a hold on the boys' suspensions. The boys attorney with the Founding Freedoms Law Center said they are now partnering with another law group, America First Legal,, to take legal action. The families and their attorneys intend to exhaust all avenues in an attempt to overturn the district's Title IX ruling finding their sons responsible for sexual harassment, which they fear will have long-term impacts on their kids, particularly when it comes to getting into college. However, Hetzler said he is not hopeful their appeal will overturn anything."I don't know who the exact person is who's making the appeal decision. I get the sense that it's a pretty tight-knit group overall in Loudoun County Public Schools, so I don't expect a different result," Hetzler said. "Ultimately, I think we're going to have to sue them. I think we're going to have to go into federal court. And if we go into a federal court, then the Department of Justice will have an opportunity to intervene in the case."Hetzler noted that they would like to avoid going to court but said "the reality is that at every point along the way, when Loudoun County has had the opportunity to do the right thing, they always seem to do the wrong thing.""We'd love for Loudoun to do the right thing and avoid [court], but we've got to stop these boys from being suspended, because once they're suspended and they miss school, you can't unring that bell," Hetzler continued. "So, we're gonna prevent that, and then we're trying to make sure that this is scrubbed from their record because they should never have a Title IX sexual harassment on their record for simply complaining about a girl being in their locker room."
