The lawyers representing Kilmar Abrego Garcia have asked a federal judge for permission to take three additional depositions from representatives of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the State Department and the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding what steps, if any, the Trump administration has taken to facilitate the illegal immigrant and alleged MS-13 gang member's release from custody in El Salvador.In a motion filed Wednesday, Abrego Garcia's lawyers asked U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis of Maryland to order the government to designate individuals from DHS, the State Department and the DOJ "who can testify about information known or reasonably available to each Department." The New York Police Department arrested 61 females after anti-Israel agitators stormed Columbia University's Butler Library on Wednesday as students were studying for finals.In total, the NYPD made 80 arrests 19 males and 61 females, according to a source. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is now enforcing federal immigration laws on state roads, and Fox News got an exclusive look inside the groundbreaking effort.Gov. Ron DeSantis has hailed the initiative as a model for the rest of the nation, saying that Florida is building a system that can be replicated nationwide. The state has become the first to train and deploy troopers under the federal 287(g) agreement, which authorizes designated state officers to enforce immigration law in partnership with federal agents.During a recent ride-along with Fox News, troopers initiated a traffic stop for a violation that quickly escalated. A man fled the scene after his legal status was questioned.The suspect was later found hiding in a neighborhood shed.
